Speaker 1 (00:00):
This book book that's part of our relentless coverage of
the NFL. It's a Football Friday sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka,
proud sponsor of the Seahawks, distilled in modeled by fifty
Generation Ain't Boston, Texas forty percent alcohol my volume save
a responsibly.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
This crowd is going nuts.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Football Friday is on with Saftie and Dick on Sports
Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
All right, so I'm sitting here at Jimmy's on first.
Do you have tickets for the game? By the way, yes?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Or no you don't?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Okay, Well, first of all, here's the deal.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Let me just tell everybody who's sitting here at Jimmy's
on first, if you go to Benue Kings dot com
right now, you can get in the door for one
hundred and sixty three bucks at Venue Kings dot com.
And look at your little notes from a couple of
days ago. What was Game five when they came home
with the two to zero lead. Yes, do we remember
what tickets were like for Game five?

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Then two seventy eight?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Two seventy eight, so they've dropped to one hundred than
sixty bucks to get in the door. And that's actually
up by the way from where they were this morning.
I was on the golf course at.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
About ten o'clock and they're like one and tucks one.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Hundred and twenty four dollars to get in the door.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
And there's other websites that had them for under one
hundred bucks, but that may include fees as well. Fan
you kings doesn't include fees, so take up prices have
dropped dramatically for this game tonight, for game five. And
my concern when we walk in there later on today
is we're gonna see a lot of blue and white.
By the way, in the stands, there's a lot more
Blue Jay fans walking around here today than there were
the last couple of days. And I gotta tell you what, man,

(01:32):
everyone wants to know predictions. Who do you think is
gonna win? I was just watching the Fox pregame show,
three of the four except for Alex Rodriguez picking the
Blue Jays to win this game today, and I just
think this, first of all, I don't have any idea
who's gonna win the game today. All Right, this is
ridiculous sitting here predicting baseball games.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Whatever matchups YadA, YadA, YadA.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
If you were to have told me that Logan Gilbert,
George Kirby, and Luis Castillo for three days in a row,
every single one of them will get beat up like
a freaking pin. I never would have bought that. If
you would have told me that the number nine hitter
for the Blue Jays in Christian Gimmonez two days in
a row would go long, I never would have bought that.
If you would have told me that Brian Wu would
be on the Alcs roster but in game number four,

(02:13):
when Castillo gets run before the third inning is over,
that they would have let him rot in the bullpen
and not even gone to him. I never would have
bought that. So I have no idea what to expect today.
All I can do is just play the love averages
that if the Mariners in Blue Jays play six games
at home, the Mariners eventually will get one of them.
Kay that a Mariner rotation that's been so good for

(02:35):
the most part of the entire year.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
If you've got.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Three guys who get beat to death three days in
a row, eventually the fourth guy he's going to step
up and give you a decent performance. That if you
play three games at home against Toronto in a series
like this in the middle of the Alcs, that the
MS will get one of them, and that they will
eventually show up for one of them. I gotta think
that I got a bank on Dick at least those

(02:59):
things happening, and if they don't, it's going to be.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
A major, major accomplishment by Toronto.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
You tip your cap, you move on, and you pray
to God that you can win both games out there.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
I mean, the law of averages certainly points to Seattle
after those two dreadful games here the third game in
a row. I mean, it is really really hard to
sweep a good baseball team in three straight games in
the playoffs in their home park. The only flip side
to that would be Bryce Miller is coming off his
season best outing and he's facing the same team.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Again four days later.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
So it's like, that's the only thing that I worry
about going into this game.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
I think will hit better in this game.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
I'm just worried that Bryce Miller is not going to
be able to match what he was able to do
in Game one.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
We were asking him to do it again, right, which is
kind of unfair in some ways, It's almost unfair to ask.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
He's the only guy that showed up so far.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
In the road, who is your number five starter for
the most part the entire year to go out there
and kind of do what Logan Gilbert and George Kirby
and Luis Castillo could not do. But on the flip
side of that, that's what the Blue Jays did. The
Blue Jays went out there and they asked Shane Bieber,
who's coming off Tommy John surgery, who they acquired the deadline,
and forty one year old Max Scherzer to do what

(04:11):
other Blue Jay starters can do.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
And they did it, and they did it right.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I mean, look, you know, does yesterday's game have anything
to do with today? Probably not? Does Game three have
anything to do with Game four? Probably not? And if
you lose, you lose. What bothers the hell out of me, guys,
is the way this baseball team has lost. You got
a fan base that is dying to see this team
play at home in the ALCS for the first time

(04:36):
in twenty four years. And this is the performance they
put out there, This is the product that they put
out there. And Dick and Jackson I'm not even talking
about getting your ass beat, because sometimes those things happen
in baseball. What I'm talking about is Leo Reebos getting
picked off at first base last night. I'm talking about
Josh Naylor in what could have been a rally for you,

(04:56):
killing it by committing the cardinal sin of ending the
inning at third base. I'm talking about Victor Robless the
other day with his play card in his mouth, not
having any idea what the hell's going on out there
in right field.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Things like that.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
You know, you go down swinging, fine, whatever, But I
need this baseball team to do one thing today. But
I believe collectively they did not do in Game three
in Game four, and that is simply put pull your
heads out of your ass, because that was a sloppy, unacceptable,
uninspired performance by them yesterday and it looked like they

(05:32):
barely even showed up.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
For first pitch last night.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
You can't have that kind of performance, and it's fair,
i think, for every fan to ask for better today.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Yeah, it's the first game of this series that I've
gone to, and I think one thing that you can
notice when you're at the ballpark, you can watch individual
players as long as you want and see their demeanor, right,
And I was the closest to Gino Suarez of everybody.
That guy just looked dead all night long. He looked
dead when he was standing out there at third there

(06:01):
were two bullets going right by him. He was late
to both of them. It just there looked like there
was no life. He wasn't the only one. I'm just
using as an example because he was the one I
was looking at more than anybody else. Yeah, they just
looked dead. After Luis Castile got taken out of.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
It well, and the player. There's a couple of places
there talking about.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yesterday, there was a ball that went down the third
base line underneath Suarez's glove.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I think was Clement I'm not sure who it was
at all. Is a blurnow.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Yeah, but you know, I honestly, Dick, I think we've
seen him make plays like that, or excuse me, make
mistakes like that in the regular season. He just don't
show up as much as they do in the playoffs.
I mean, guys, I don't think Gino Suarez is terrible,
but he's not a phenomenal, elite level third baseman. He's
not a great defender at third base. I mean, we
knew that when you were trading for Gino Suarez that

(06:48):
you were gonna lose a little bit. And Ben Williamson
defensively going to Aohanio and you were fine with that
because the guy's got fifty home runs. You were okay
with that. But the bats by Gino and then he
finally delivers yesterday with an RBI single in his ex teammate,
it's thrown out a third base, right, So things like
that have got to be cleaned up today. But look,

(07:09):
you know, there's a lot of stuff, guys that I
think we probably should reserve for conversation once the season's over.
You know, what does this mean? Is it a success?
Is it a failure? You know we're talking today on
text thread. If they lose this thing to Toronto after
being up two to zero, where does this rank on
the all time heartbreak stuff? Look, well, well we'll visit
that when the year comes to an end and we

(07:30):
really can dive into where our emotions are. But I
would just ask this baseball team today, if you're gonna
lose this game today, will you please go down freakin
swinging give us your best efforts. And I don't believe
and that's the bummer, right, Dick. Yeah, I don't believe
this team is giving us their best effort two games.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
In a row.

Speaker 6 (07:50):
And this, this series is beyond prediction for me because
because I, Jackson andw were texting back and forth earlier,
and jack and said, well, if we lose this, there's
no way we'll lose to in Toronto.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
He's probably win to in Toronto.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
He's probably right, butto knows, there's no way Seattle was
gonna win game one and two in Toronto. There's no
way Toronto's gonna win game three and game four in Seattle.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
So you have no idea what's gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
And if you were to lose this game, right then
all you gotta do is win one game in game
six and you have a winner take all game seven
where everything is fifty to fifty. So it's like, even
if they lose this game today, this series is Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Well, we talked that, we kind of joked about this
the other night that you know, we're gonna see what
Monday Night potentially is all about with the Seahawks football game,
and what's gonna be happening in the seventh inning when
the Seahawks are kicking off at seven o'clock? How many
times have we asked that question sitting right here at
Jimmy's For years now, years in a row, we've been
sitting here at Jimmy's, going, gee, I wonder what the
atmosphere would be like and where the Seattle sports fans

(08:48):
priority would be if the Seahawks are playing a Monday
night football game and the Mariners are in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Well we are, you.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Know, about to find that out potentially, Yeah, in game seven.
Let me ask you guys right now, we get to
Game seven, would you take that right now? Yes, winner
take all Monday night at five o'clock, Jackson, are you
win for Game seven?

Speaker 2 (09:05):
I'm not. I'm not.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
I roll the dice on that just because I have
confidence that the law he goes to the law of averages.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
You guys were just talking about the.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Law of averages.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
I believe in that wholeheartedly, and I think today is
the day.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Well, yeah, I.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
Hope you're right now. It's funny because I looked up
Vegas's line. Now, Vegas isn't always why right, but they
do take emotion out of the game in their lines
and futures and that's kind of what we need to
do in Seattle right now.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
We need to take the stinky emotion of the last
two days out.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
Vegas still has Seattle as a better odds to win
the World Series than Toronto.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Right, but it's not as big as it was two
days ago. The gap is closing tremendously. I'm looking at
benyel Kings dot com and you think about what that
atmosphere is going to be like in Game six on
Sunday night. You know, we alway say one hundred and
fifty bucks, one hundred and sixty bucks to get in
the door today for this game, three seventy for Game
six in Toronto.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I mean it's just a different animal man for.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Them, Yeah, which is like ten bucks Americans.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
So you're all right, we're going to break factor.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Fiction brought to you by the Lucky Eagle Casino and
Hotel where every day feels lucky. Uh Hey, we got
a pretty big college football game tomorrow, boys and girls,
nine o'clock at the Big House. You realize that the
Huskies have not traveled to Michigan and won a football
game since our buddy Hugh Millan and his.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Pal Mark Pass.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Pulled off the event in nineteen eighty four. That forty
one years ago. Forty one years ago, they've only played
three times, by the way, since forty one, only three times.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I mean, it's going to be a regular currence now.
I was saying the Big ten Bae.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Philip Brab game, Mari Low game.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Twelve men in the field, the Philip Brab game, Jamie
Newell busting his finger like it's a match stick in
that game, Mike McDonald kicking our ass a couple of
years ago out there, and then the.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Rock Alexander game.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
No talk about I'm talking there there. They haven't. They have.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
They've only played three games in that stadium since nineteen
forty one, since nineteen eighty four, because when they meet,
they meet in the Rose Bowl, right or they meet
in Seattle.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
So this is gonna again be a regular occurrence.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
But let's come back talk about that next on ninety
three three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Now back to Football Friday sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka
on your home for the NFL Sports Radio ninety three
point three j FLO.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
All right, we'll get to Factor Fiction brought to you
by the Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel in a matter
of minutes. Here this is the Drek of the Drek
number twenty of twenty, although we had a couple of
days off for hockey, so I think it might be
like seventeen of seventeen. But whatever crumbs are sitting there
at the at the table, we got to make sure
we get them otherwise we're starving, baby, So it's a miracle.

(11:50):
It really is a miracle. Don't you think that we're
as good at this as we are? Having to wait
until the final pick every single anchors around our ankles.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
We still are the handicapped kings of ninety.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Three millses, baby, but we don't make excuses. We deliver
fraw audience. So big thanks to the lucky Ego Casino
and hotel for what they're doing for us.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Tomorrow, by the way.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Six am pregame show, nine o'clock kickoff, We're gonna be
at Tom's Watch Bar across from Climate Pledge Arena watching
U dub and Michigan for just the fourth time since
nineteen eighty four at Michigan Stadium.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
You've been there? Is that right to Michigan Stadium?

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Okay, I haven't. Well, it's huge. It is a freaking
gigantic stadium. And Jimmy Doherty was there for a year.
He was actually there for a year when Jed Fish
was out there as well. And I've been there twice,
by the way, and I've lost both ways. You can
lose getting your ass kicked by Mike McDonald's defense a
couple of years ago, and then back in I think
it was in two thousand and two, twelve men on

(12:47):
the field, Philip brad with a game winning field goal
and the Huskies knockoff the Wolverine's knockoff the Huskies thirty
one to twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
So it's been a long times.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
It's been forty one years, guys, Yes, forty one years
since Washington has had.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
To win forty one yards at Michigan Stadium.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
And I just feel like it's their time tomorrow to
get this done because I think the quarterback situation for
U Dubb is better. I think the coaching situation for you,
Dub Dick is better than what Michigan's got going on.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
I think you have a Michigan Wolverine.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Team that I wouldn't say they're ready to quit, but
they're ready to quit a little bit. They got a
lot of guys that are on that football team that
signed up to play for Jim Harbaugh that are now
playing for a totally different coach in a totally different philosophy.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
They got waxed by USC a week ago.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I think if U dub wins the coin toss, they
take the ball and they shove it right down their
throat and they silence that crowd. And here's the other equalizer.
You know who Justice Hayinesen is. By the way, He's
the start. He's the starting running back for Michigan. He's
run for seven hundred yards and eight touchdowns and he
may not play tomorrow. He may be out of the game.
That's a huge blow for Michigan. So I don't know, man,

(13:58):
maybe I'm being a homer. I if this game was
still on the board for factor fiction, I would take
the Huskies and the points all day.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
I just don't know how Michigan is compared to last
year's Michigan team, because I know for a fact that
this year's Washington team is not only better than last
year's Washington team, it is much better.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Than last year's Washington team.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
And we were able to beat Michigan here last year
So if Michigan is anywhere close to what they were
last year, this should be a Washington win.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
There is no question about that at all.

Speaker 6 (14:28):
It's just a matter of going on the road early start,
nine am, start in the big house. I mean that
to me, that means about a touchdown. That I mean
nine am, start in the big house. That's not just
your typical go out on the road and play a
football game. That to me means about a touchdown. So
you got to be more than a touchdown better than
this Michigan football team. But I'm with you about you know,

(14:48):
Michigan has always plays for bigger and better things. They
don't have those bigger and better things to play for it.
They have already gotten bombed by the two good teams
that they played this year. The question is, is Washington
in the USC and the Oklahoma category?

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Aren't they that good?

Speaker 6 (15:02):
Because they are, they'll take care of business no problem,
because Oklahoma and USC had no issues with Michigan. Or
is Washington closer to the to the you know, the
Nebraskas of the world, which Michigan was able to take
care of.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Yeah, I mean, look, I think it's gonna be a
tough game. I would not be shocked at off the
Huskies won. I don't see you dub blowing these guys out.
I mean, Oklahoma got him twenty four to thirteen. I
think my tier playing in that game. But you know,
sometimes I look at the wins, dick for the opponents.
I look at a game like Wisconsin for example, which
and I think Wisconsin's off their back like.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
An awful, awful football.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Team that was a football and that's a ten to
seven game and halftime at seventeen to seven going into
the fourth quarter. I mean, they had a hard time
running away from a really bad Badger football team. And
that game was at Michigan Stadium. So I just think
that Michigan's problem. They they are better. You remember how
bad they were at quarterback a year ago right in Seattle.

(15:57):
They're better than that, of course, because that was just
an all time train wreck for Michigan at quarterback when
they had a guy named Orgy playing for them. Okay,
I'm not even sure if that guy's in college football.
I have no idea where he's at. Bryce Underwood's good,
He's better than what they had a year ago. But
Deman Williams is better, way better. And I also think
tomorrow Jacob McNew's got two more games he can play

(16:19):
before they have to burn that red shirt.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
I think he's playing tomorrow against the Wolverines.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
And I got a funny feeling you may be able
to get one of two guys Mills or Carver maybe
potentially on the field tomorrow to see if they can play.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
That would be huge because demand has had to run
the other way. I mean, they have not been able
to run either Jonah Coleman, Mohammed or Demond that direction.
They've had to run to the other side. I've been
watching that side of the line. It has not been
good the last couple of weeks. Nor would any line
be good when the course, when you're without your two
best offensive linemen on one side of the line, of course,

(16:53):
it's not gonna look good. So that would be big.
I just I just think that this game and I
don't think the Husky are getting enough love locally, and
maybe it's because of the success of the Mariners.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
It's as this Husky.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
Football team has a legitimate shot at the college football playoffs,
and if they win this game this.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Week, yeah, it super charges that chance.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
They will be six and one on the season with
Illinois Wisconsin purduing.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
You see La steering him in the baseball.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Well, I think it's one hundred percent in the Mariners.
I think it's also the middle of October. If this
was the middle of November and they had a shot
at the college football playoff and there's no baseball going on,
you'd see him getting a lot more attention. I mean, look, frankly,
this what's happening in the city right now with the
Mariners is number one by farquite far.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
I think all of this would agree on that.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
The emotion, the intensity, the passion around this baseball team
right now was dwarfing everything else. So that's number one,
and then number two. Look, I still think this. I
think that you're talking about beating Michigan that I wonder
if it would resonate more with the fans than it
does with the voters, because the voters also see a

(18:03):
kind of mediocre Michigan football team that is struggling to
put something together. They'd be a four and three team
at that point and a Washington team that still hasn't
beaten anybody of really significance. In the eight people I
think they're ranked. If they win tomorrow. Absolutely, how far
do they go. Maybe they're twentieth, twenty first, whatever, maybe

(18:26):
they even go u higher because maybe the voters buy
the Michigan mystique and they pump them up. But I
think even more than that is that Washington, then, after
not having won a road game the entire year, can
come back home versus Illinois and say we just won
our first three road games we played against Maryland, Wazoo,

(18:46):
and Michigan. Like that's over with, right, whatever crap we
went through a year ago, dick on the road, that's
a thing of the past.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
I think you're right.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
I think the fan base will if they see, Wow,
even if they're not paying attention to the game, they see, well,
Washington beat Michigan at the Big House's big time win.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
That's why I'm so fired up for the game tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (19:03):
What I did not understand and and you'll you'll probably
remember me when we first had the college football rankings out,
and you know, we.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Kind of gave our gave our take.

Speaker 6 (19:11):
What was the one team that jumped out at me
and like, I'm like, why the hell are.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
They ranked Kechigan? It was Michigan.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Now, there's been a lot of teams that were over
ranked in that preseason.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Point times, but at least the other teams that were
ranked were coming off of really good years last year,
and you're like, Okay, they're getting a bump for last year.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
Michigan.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
Honestly, I think they're still getting the twenty twenty three
bump from Jim Harbaugh.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
Because they haven't been anything since then, and.

Speaker 6 (19:41):
Yet they were ranked fourteenth to start the season for
some reason.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
You know, there's a lot of things you gotta sell
me on, Dick, the stupidity of the ap pole is
not one of, okay, and you know that as well
as anybody, because I've been shoving that down your.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
I'm listening to and more.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
It is so freaking idiotic, man.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
I mean, did Michigan finally fall out of the apop
pole last week after they lost to USC so.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
You know they had done they had done nothing to
be ranked.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
I mean, unless the voters just felt like, hey, Bryce Underwood,
they're buying the five star hype that this guy is
going to be a monster. They only had fourteen guys back.
I mean, that's not insignificant, but they had fourteen guys
back from a team that won eight and five, and
they didn't have a quarterback all year long. Again, I mean,
you know you can I actually argue in some ways
what More did a year ago is way more impressive

(20:29):
than what he's doing now because he won eight games
in the Big Ten with no quarterback. I mean, you
saw what they had that was embarrassing. It was almost
like insulting that Michigan was that terrible.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
With Michigan's talent, even with no quarterback, Michigan should be
able to check off four conference wins six.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
And that's what they did.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
They But again, I think when they were ranked, they
were saying, Okay, they're eight and five with no quarterback.
Now they have a stud in Bryce Underwood, and I
just think the idea that you can start giving teams
Brownie points for quarterbacks that have never played a game
is crazy.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Especially I mean Texas was the same thing with Archie Manning.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
I mean, and we said it're all all off season
long and talked about how are you sure this guy's
really that good? I mean, how many people did we
have on where we asked about the league that arch
Manning played in in New Orleans. I'm like, really, like,
I mean, if his last name was Schlowenstein.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Nobody'd be talking about this guy.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
But because he's, you know, Peyton Manning's nephew, everyone thinks
he's Jesus Christ reincarnated. So I think a lot of
things like that play a big role when it comes
to what people think about certain teams and their chances.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
This is why I just I love to see if people.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
I love the fact that we wait until Week eight
or whatever it is now to put that thing out.
I just get concerned, as I have been for a while,
that the voters and the committee is still influenced by
the eight people.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
This is the first time that we've gotten this deep
into a college football season in a long time where
I can look across the country and be like, I
haven't seen one elite football team. Now, I've seen an
elite defense in Ohio State, yes, but I haven't seen
an elite football team. And so this is wide open.
This might be one of those seasons where you get

(22:12):
into the.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
College football playoffs like the baseball playoffs.

Speaker 6 (22:15):
Yeah, and like maybe you can win a road game
in the college football playoffs or two and in eleven
or twelve seed sneaks up into the final.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Four hundred percent it's wide open, totally wide open. I mean,
what was Ohio State last year? Were they like a
five or a six seed? They were not a one
seed or one of the top four. I know that,
and you know, I mean, look, I don't don't tell
him I ever said this, but you know, Oregon did
get a little bit hosed having to play them. But
that's the way the whole thing was set up. And
you know, the justice Hayines injury, you know why it
might be so big for Michigan. And we'll see if

(22:43):
he plays tomorrow. This guy ran for one hundred and
twenty five on Oklahoma, and Rick newisl has said with
us before he believes Oklahoma may actually have the better.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Defense in Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Excellent.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
I don't know if I buy it or not.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
I think o Iho State's pretty freaking good, by the way,
especially after went to Mont Williams. Did the Rutgers and
what they did to us when they were you know,
here a few weeks ago, but not how that guy
and that experience of running behind that offensive line and
what he did to the Sooners a few weeks ago
could be a gigantic blow from Michigan. So we'll see
Lee Sterling, By the way, I'm going to join us.

(23:12):
Next segment, we'll get Lee's thoughts on that game tomorrow
Seahawks and Texans on Monday Night. Hugh Millen's coming up,
Petro's coming up, John Wilner coming up. A lot to
get to on a busy Friday, live from Jimmy's Factor
Fiction though brought to you by the Lucky Eagle Casino
in Hotel right now on ninety three three KJRFM.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Whe's that to go glad you're with us.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
It's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the
ten thousand dollars grand prize. It's Fact Door Fiction, probably
presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel where every Day
Feels Lucky. Fact Door Fiction is on Sports Radio ninety
three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
All right, we're back at Jimmy's Big thanks again to
the Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel where every day feels lucky.
We see a game in the NFC East and we
see a team in the Dallas Cowboys that, let's be
honest with you, was humiliated last week by the Carolina
Panthers right thirty second.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Teams that have been humility.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
On the road.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Uh, and they are coming back home on Sunday against
the Washington Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys at home against
Washington are Hang on a second, I got a forty
in a minute, I lost it. It's back giving one
and a half. Win the game by two. And I
love teams that are pissed off. I love teams that

(24:35):
are refocused and humiliated coming off the week before, and
that's what Dallas is doing. So we're gonna make this
easy on you. We're gonna take the Cowboys minus the
point and a half against Dan Quinn and the Washington
Commanders on Sunday. You like it, text in fact, you
hate it? Text in fiction to four nine four five
one right now.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
As great as Jalen Jayden Daniels was last year, he's
been good to very good this year, but he hasn't
reached that level yet. Now he may against this Dallas
football team, but Dallas is also going to score points.
I mean this Washington defense gave up twenty four to Gino. Yeah,
they gave up thirty four to Michael Pennix, and they
gave up twenty five to Caleb Williams. Now they got

(25:16):
Dak Prescott and arguably the number one offense in the NFL.
Right now, the Dallas Cowboys going on, Dallas should get
thirty in this game, so Jayden Daias is going to
have to keep up.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah, well, I was gonna go with the Cougars again,
but you talk me out of it.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Off the AAR.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
And here's why Dick Dick made the point Jackson off
the ear that we may only get one token to
use on Wazoo.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
We may have used it with the old misigame on Oregon.
Never seems to work for us, so it's good.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
We'll see who John Wilner likes with his pick by
the way, coming up at around four to forty five
this afternoon. But Dallas minus the point and a half
is the selection fact. If you love it fiction, if
you hate it to four nine, four five to one
A right, We're Jimmy's Lee Sterling going to join next
on ninety three three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
It's time for our weekly visit with gambling expert Lee Sterling.

(26:27):
with Lee Sterling, here's Suffie and did all right?

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Well, everything good must come to an end and a
sixteen and four run. Red Hot ended last week with
a two and three week for Lee Sterling eighteen and
seven in his last five weeks on the year.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
I'll sign up for that day of the week.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
And here he is, our man from Paramount Sports in
South Florida, Lee Sterling, how are you pal?

Speaker 7 (26:52):
I'm good. In fourteen minutes my cane, strap it up
and let's see if thick and dominate and make it
to the college football playoff and get a bye. That's
what the hope is here.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Well, let's start there, four o'clock kickoff here in Seattle,
seven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
You're in time. Miami is at fourteen and a half
or thirteen and a half. What's the number?

Speaker 7 (27:13):
Now, what's actually down to ten and a half?

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (27:17):
Right now as we speak, let's go totals down to Okay,
I'm going to take a different approach to this game.
We're gonna play the total here. I think this Louisville
team has weapons all over the field. Now, the quarterback
does throw some interceptions, but that can be good for
a total too. They got a quarterback and Miller Moss says,
you're very familiar with from USC. You get pressure on

(27:40):
his face, he'll throw some interceptions. Running back Kid Brown
from Miami looks like he'll be able to go.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
He's been banged up.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
There are two receivers, Bell and Lacy every bit as
good as what Miami has here. So I think Miami's
going to score on this defensive front here. Also, Louisville
early and often, maybe even on special teams. Here, we're
going over forty nine and a half total points. Wouldn't
shock me if it goes over by the end of
the third quarter.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
Wow, got it, Ley, We're looking at a big one
in the Big House tomorrow nine am our time.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
Washington getting six at Michigan.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
If the Huskies win this game, they are I'll a
legit CFP contender.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Who do you like?

Speaker 7 (28:18):
Yeah, And I think they've got a chance to do
it here. I was watching the Michigan game again, and
I think you can run stunts on their offensive line.
I think you can also on offense, use your tight
end and he should have some success going down the seam.
And I think this Michigan team is probably gonna play better.
Didn't tackle well last week, but I think the game

(28:41):
plan is here. I mean a couple teams have exploited
them on defense and so you can attack them on
top of that. They've already lost two games here, and
I think this Washington offense is starting to get it
in the high gear.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
I know they have not won a game going.

Speaker 7 (28:56):
East from west to east here, but I think it's
time here. Rong team favored here, I'm going with the Huskies.
I think they get the job done. Twenty eight, twenty five.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
They beat Maryland by the way two weeks ago, just
so you know that's right. Didn't cover, didn't cover?

Speaker 7 (29:13):
Yeah, didn't they.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Right, But they got the win. So a little more confident.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
But we like the Huskies to win and cover, and
that'll be their first win, by the way since Hugh
Millan led the Huskies to victory there forty one years ago.
All Right, NFL rams on the road at the Jaguars
and they're given three.

Speaker 7 (29:29):
What do you think I think without Pookam, I think
there's problems there two and four against the spread, and
I think that right now Jacksonville the offensive line has
come together. Last year, they probably had three guys that
were NFL caliber starting offensive lineman and right now they've

(29:50):
got seven or eight. Also, the Rams faced two backup
quarterbacks the last two weeks, so I think Jacksonville is
the right side here. Another wrong team favored jackson about
twenty four to twenty.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Forty nine ers.

Speaker 6 (30:03):
I don't know if there's anybody still left playing for them,
but they're going to suit up against the Falcons forty
nine ers minus two actually given points to Atlanta because
it's in Santa Clara.

Speaker 7 (30:12):
What do you think, Well, Atlanta has something great either,
except for when they're playing at home and they're playing
a team they usually can dominate. But they get it
done last week. You know, the key here is is
Kidd and Personal, and I think both will be back,
and if they're both back, I think they're going to
have a chance to be able to do some damage
here against this Atlanta secondary. So they were sky high

(30:35):
Atlanta give them credit last week, but traveling to the
West Coast has not been one of their best suits.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Here.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
Let's go with San Francisco. Hart fought win here twenty three,
twenty one.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
All right, got the job done. Cover the spread. Seahawks
Monday Night against the Texans. We used to be able
to count on Pete Carroll being sensational in prime time
at Lumenfield. Well, since Mike McDonald has taken over the
Seahawks head coach Lee, the Seahawks are ten and one
on the road, but they're four and eight at Loomin Field,

(31:06):
which is wild. What do you see happening on Monday night?
Seahawks given three and a half against Houston.

Speaker 7 (31:13):
Yeah, and the Texans entered this game off of the
bye after back to back wins against so two of
the worst teams in the league in Tennessee and Baltimore
because they were without Lamar Jackson to combined two to
ten record. The Seahawks four and two straight up. Number
three though in the NFC in points scored twenty seven

(31:33):
point seven, Number three in the NFC in scoring defense
nineteen point five points per game. Last year, Sam Darnold
played this Houston defense when he was with Minnesota. Four touchdowns,
no interceptions. I think that familiarity will really help them
here in this game. Houston offensive line just one of
the worst we've seen, one of the worst three or
four in the NFL. Seahawks finally get it right at home,

(31:56):
twenty seven to twenty one.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Ah Your game of the week.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Notre Dame US used to be a gigantic game in
college football? Is it still a gigantic game in college football?

Speaker 7 (32:07):
Yeah? I mean both teams could work their way into
the College Football Playoff. I mean not like he got
Reggie Bush or anything like that, or Matt Lionerd or
Joe Montana playing in the game. But still two quality teams.
I think should be a fun game. You want to
get the game for free? Eight hundred four hundred nine
seven for one again the number, eight hundred four hundred

(32:28):
nine seven, four to one and over the last Saturday
and Sunday. The last four weeks, we've had four straight
winning weeks on the weekend. You want to hop on
board check out all the specials Paramount sports dot com.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Lee, You're the man, great stuff. Enjoy the Miami game tonight.
We're talking a week Thanks Lee.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Okay, guys, all right, at least.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Turning likes the over in tonight's Miami Louisville game. He
likes the Huskies and the points against Michigan they win
straight up twenty eight to twenty. He likes the Jaguars
plus the points against the Rams, the Niners minus the
two against Atlanta, and the Seahawks to cover and win
against the Texans on Monday night. Monday, We're gonna be here,
by the way, Jimmy's from two to three thirty, because

(33:07):
Ian's got hockey, dude.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
He we got cracking obviously on Monday.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
And I mean, look, you talk about how much little
attention there is being paid to the Huskies, how about
the freaking game on Monday night?

Speaker 4 (33:17):
Pal, I mean, I I.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
Don't know if there's been this big of an emotional
swing over a seventy two hour period that we could see.
I mean, we could see a Husky team with a
win at Michigan and a shot at the CFP, a
Seahawks team that goes to five and two, and a.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
Mariner team that goes to the World Series.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
Or we could see a situation where it's the opposite
and I don't even want to talk about the opposite,
but think about where we're at if all three of
those things happen positively or all three of those things
happen negative

Speaker 3 (33:45):
That's gonna break what we got, Petros, Is that right,
Petros Papadakas, we'll join coming up next on ninety three
to three KJRFM
