Speaker 1 (00:00):
Where we go.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
What do you people want from us? For God's sakes,
we give you everything we got every day at three
o'clock and today is another example of our devotion to you.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Come on, man, that's a show. That's a good show.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
I'm looking forward to the Hanks Oregon Duck rivalry Hanks show.
I'm looking forward to seeing the level of optimism from
you three turkeys.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Us three turkeys. Well, I don't think we're gonna win
that way, gonna say. I mean, they're six and a
half point underdogs for a reason if they're playing the nots,
and they're probably.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Double digit underdogs right at Oregon.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
So I mean, if I told you right now you
got to pick a winner in this game, and if
you're wrong, I'm gonna shove you into I five during
rush hour traffic.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
You take Oregon. Yes, you're that stupid.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Speaking of the six and a half line, what was
the line of the Poctolt Championship?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
And well that was that was everyone was telling me
ever since you dub beat Oregon in Seattle when they
missed the field goal right which we voted as the
number one moment of twenty twenty three and got criticized
for it, which I think criticized unfairly. To be honest
with agree, I mean that was a huge moment for you,
(01:10):
dub We can argue whether or not the defense that
was out there had anything at all to do with
the missfield goal, but the way the defense played leading
up to it, obviously, I mean, if they would have
gained another five yards on that drive, the knucklehead probably
makes the kick for God's sakes, and they go to
overtime and who knows what happens. But that was the
moment of the year where I think on that day
(01:31):
everybody thought, all right, this team might be pretty good.
They might have a shot to do some damage here.
So that's number one. But number two this game on Saturday.
For me, Look, do I expect the Huskies to win?
Speaker 5 (01:41):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Would I be shocked if they won the game? No,
I would not be shocked for one simple reason. They've
been a totally different team at home under Jetfish sis
and a half. We don't need to really make this hard.
They've been a different team under Jededdome.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Completely different team.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Oregon has shown a lot of wartz, particularly on the
offensive side of the football, and they have a lot
of guys on that offense that are injured. So this
is not the Oregon team that existed two months ago.
So I think the Huskies and now if the if
the Huskies can get healthy and they can get the
guys they've lost back over the last couple of weeks,
(02:16):
and it seems like the Husky guys are more apt
to be ready to play.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Than some of those Oregon players, particularly on the line
and the wide receiver.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Right.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
So, I don't know who had this out there.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I think it may have been Bovada, an email from
Jimmy Shapiro. If the boss is quote odds on college
football head coach hires, he's probably getting it from Jimmy
Shapiro's email. To be honest with you, he comes in
does two things. He waters his plant, and he checks
the odds on the next coach of Florida. That's what
Rich Moore does here at the radio team. He does
a very good job of it. By the way, But
(02:45):
I asked Dick this off the year because Rich told
me he claims that the odds on the Florida job
are now one to one in favor of Jed Fish.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
He is now the heavy favorite to be the next coach.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Of floor, which I said, Well, if he wins Saturday,
I think he's got a shot to be back on
their radar. If he loses Saturday, I don't think Florida
is gonna want anything to do with the guy. They're
gonna want bigger potatoes down there.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Don't you. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
I think with SEC fans more than probably any other
conference name, familiarity.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Matters, absolutely no question. By the way, I was exactly right.
It was an email from Jimmy Shapiro because I'm looking
at it right now. Florida Gators next full time head
coach Jedfish one to one Lane Kiffin, Lane Kiffin plus
one twenty five, Eli Drinkwo's four to one, Brent Key
eight to one, Alex Gorlish eleven to one, Jeff Brom
(03:40):
twelve to one.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Well, the reason they've got him.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
As the heavy favorite, Well, the reason for that is
heavy Jackson, is that Laane Kiffin's minus two hundred to
go to LSU.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
That's the reason is they don't think he's going.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
So if they don't want late, if they don't get
Lane Kiffin, is Jedfish going to be number two on
their list?
Speaker 1 (03:59):
No matter what happens on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Because I will just say this, if they offer Jetfish
a contract at Florida, he's gone.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
There's again no qush. He's not gonna be coaching Washington
next year.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Guys here, Okay, there is thousand percent he's gone if
they offer him the head coaching job of Florida. So
my question to Dick was this, Okay, you beat Oregon Saturday,
but Jetfish walks.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Do you take it? You sign up for that right now?
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Or is it more important to have Jetfish back to
bring back Demond and everybody else, the offensive line, the
wide receivers. Guys, We've been through this with Calen de Moore.
We know what happens when coaches leave. We know what happens,
and we know what's gonna happen. Okay, I'm not trying
to be negative ned over here, not trying to be
down or Dave, but we're not stupid. We also know
(04:48):
what happens when coaches walk. And there's a lot of
guys on this Husky football team that if Jetfish walks
out of here, I think we're not naive enough to
admit he's bringing them with him.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I hear you on both of those points, I would
point out two things. A, I am confident in the
University of Washington to be able if they need to
go get another good head coach. I am confident in
this university to do that. And the bigger point is
two is that this win over Oregon would eliminate any
chance they have I think of winning or making the
(05:17):
College Football playoff, to end their chance, to essentially end
their season and say nope, you have another no chance
at a title. That is, for me, is invaluable because
at this point, for we've talked about it, we have
no shot at the playoff.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
So what's the biggest.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Thing we can do in twenty twenty five is it's
end Oregon's chance at the playoff?
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Mabe And I mean if they lose this, they have
to lose big.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
I think I lose by three on the road to Washington,
A team at the end of that game will be
in the top sixteen seventeen in America.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
It's not a terrible loss. I don't know if Wilner agrees, Well,
ask John five to five. I think they're done.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I'm just saying that. I hope you're right. I would
not dismiss anything your take his take. I think absolutely
would remain to be seen. But the idea that they
could miss the CFP is also very possible. Yeah, if
they lose this game, you got so you think you
think winning this game, let me just make sure I
understand you. You think winning this game Saturday is more
important than Jetfish coming back because he's gonna take everybody
(06:17):
with him. Okay, and Jackson, I agree with what you
just said that you I mean, they just did it
with Jedfish on Cavin to Brewalk. But the price you
paid was you went six and seven when you had
a year where everything was a friggin mess. So you're
basically saying you're gonna get a new head coach, maybe
somebody who's very good, maybe maybe somebody even better than Jedfish,
(06:39):
but you're gonna have to roll in the dirt for
a year.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
I think it really comes down to this.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
One key fact is that I hate the state of
Oregon that much. I hate Portland, I hate the Ducks,
I hate I hate that state so damn much.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I'm with you, Yes, I'm with you a thousand percent,
fat face bearded Oregon douche, you know, in.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
A north face vast when you asked me that question.
I himmed In had for quite a while, but then
I did give you the disclaimer of if we would
have beaten Wisconsin, I would have taken that deal in
a heart, But we.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Didn't beat for you. Did you know I lost in Wisconsin?
Speaker 1 (07:17):
What I think two things.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
I think the Huskies are going to be excellent next year.
I think the Huskies are a playoff team next year.
I want to see that. But I also think the
Jedfish is done after that excellent season next year. So
my question, it really comes down, it really for me,
(07:39):
comes down to do I just want to enjoy that?
Is it enough for me to enjoy that next year
where I have a double digit win team that goes
to the playoffs and then the rebuild is going to
be the year after that versus the rebuilding next year?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Well?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
What you what you could say to add to Jackson's
kind of arsenal there is that you could go back
to or fans and say, hey man, we just beat
you with a guy that didn't even want to beat me,
no desire, And then you can say that we beat
you four out of five with Dan Lanning, And then
you can say that Dan Lanning's got a Washington problem
(08:16):
that it doesn't even matter who the coach is, you
gonna get beating.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
No matter what you sweaty animal. In the short.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Then what you're talking about is short term game gain
for a little longer term misery. Next week will be
unbelievable if we win that game. I mean, we'll be
crowing all week long and we'll have another year to
hang it over the heads of the Organs organ fans. However,
when I'm sitting in that stadium in October next year
and I gave that deal up and I'm four and four, yeah,
(08:48):
and I'm like, am I gonna get to a Bowl
game this year? Versus I'm eight to o or I'm
eight and one and like seventh in America, which is
what I think I will be next year in.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
November than America.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Wow, this team coming up based on you say all that, Dick,
but based on what you say all that, based on
what Yes, this defense, this defense is one of ten.
This team is one of ten teams in America right
now that is in the top twenty five in offense
and defense. And they get almost everybody back to.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Schedule.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I mean, you're at Nebraska at Oregon a USC Indian.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
It's a hard it's a hard schedule this year, every
year in a Big ten. I don't know how you
can say will be the seventh ranked.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Well, your point is that they have a lot of
guys that will be back if Jed Fish returns, and
they've made serious progress on the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Their offensive line is way better.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
They're gonna have Roebuck, They're gonna have Denzel Boston, who
don't think is ready yet for the NFL. They're gonna
have Raydon Vines bright. They're gonna have Amari Evans back.
They're gonna have Adam Mohammed back. They're gonna have Jordan
Washington back. They're gonna have They're gonna have Drew as
a Party back. They're gonna have John Mill back. They're
gonna Pockey Phoena back, Ray Sean Clark, all these dudes
were if plus percent of them guys money, if Jed.
(10:11):
If Jed walks, then they're all walking all of that
like they're gone. But the point you made about when
you're sitting in the stadium next year and you're watching
the team go four and four, I mean, we we
lived it. We just lived it with Was that worth it?
Was it worth it to go twenty five and three
and have a second place finisher in the Heisman Trophy,
beat Oregon three times, beat Texas and the Sugar Bowl
(10:32):
play for the national championship, and by the way, not
only beat Oregon three times, but beat them in the
two biggest games the teams have ever played against each other.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
You won?
Speaker 2 (10:41):
So was that worth it to lose him and go
six and seven last? Yes, I would say absolute.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Maybe we've just answered the question that we want Jedfish
for one more year so we can have a chance
at that type of season again.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Well, I don't think Jedfish. Look, I've always thought it
was a short timer. And let me just let me
let me just clarify something here, because I've said this
a bunch on the air. I don't think it's anything
that we need to run away from. I mean, guys,
we're getting freaking emails from Bovada that are claiming Jedfish
is the heavy favorite to be the next coach at Florida.
This isn't just coming from us. This is the country
talking about this. Okay, Willner was talking about it. Gonzada's
(11:17):
talking about it. Professional gamblers are talking about it.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Do fans know who Jedfish is east of Arizona?
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Probably not. No, I don't think he's got the name.
There's no doubt about that.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
He might.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
If they beat Oregon Saturday, that's going to help him tremendously.
And look, the biggest reason why he's on that list
is because of his ties to the Gators.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
If this guy went to SMU, right, he's not being
talked about as the favorite to land the Florida job.
Nobody at Florida is sitting there and Gains were going, Hey,
who's that guy over there in Seattle. Nobody's talking like that,
but they're mentioning his name because of his connection to Florida.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
I think Jedfish.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
When I've said about him being a short time or
all that stuff, we said this the day he was hired.
When Troy Danen tried to throw me and Dick out
of the press conference at you dub. You guys are
aware of that, right, you know that's story. You were there,
so you know the story. We're we're Dick and I
are doing the show for Puck and Jim because Rich
Moore smartly did not want a couple of kogs on
the air from you Dub during the press conference. So
(12:12):
he came to us and said, hey, would you guys
mind doing ten to one and they'll do three to seven.
Of course, fine, we went to you Dub. We sat
down in the recruiting lounge. We go on the air.
We talk about his resume. Look at how many stops
he's made. Okay, which by the way, is something Jed
himself even addressed at the presser that day. Good for
him for doing it at a negative to he did
not run from it. We just talked about his history,
(12:33):
to which Troy Danin overheard that sent one of his
well not Lackey's, because the guy that he sent over
is a really good dude. Actually, Will Gully sends Will
Gully over and I can.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Show you the text. I have the text on my phone.
He said. Troy is pissed. He wants you guys out
of here.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
He wanted to throw me and Dick out of the
press conference before it even started.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
That's how close we were.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Jackson going on the air and saying, all right, we're
back ten fifteen and Tuesday morning here on ninety three
to three KJRFM Jeed Fish's press conference about to begin.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
We will not be here for it because the.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Flag director has thrown us out of the press conference.
So we were talking about this today. He was hired. Okay,
I don't think he's long for this gig. He might
be here three years, he might be here four years,
but he ain't going to be here ten years.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I will, though, say that he's working his balls off
while the year. This is not a tyrone Willingham, Let's
go play golf. He is a very hung job his
ass off, he is working. I can't say enough he
is working his balls off at Washington. I have no
problem with the job he's doing. I have no problem
(13:42):
with the work being put in by and the scenes
with him and his staff. I just don't think I
think these guys will be here that long. That's it,
end of story period. So about why don't we do
what's more important right now? Is it important to win
the game Saturday or more important to get him back
for at least one more year to see what next
year's are in the game.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Now I've decided, I've decided I want to see the
fruits of Jedfish's labor.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
And that's twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Okay, the fruits of jedfishes the whole reason we brought
jedfish in knowing. And I remember on that day I said,
my over under his three years. Okay, I said that
on the day he was hired based upon his resume,
I said, the over unders three years for him to
be here.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Well, he's been here for two.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
The fruits of his labor will show in twenty twenty six,
So let us have that season.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
How painful would it be to see him take everybody
and go to Florida and win eleven games and get
into the CFP with the mont Williams A guaranteed they
you know what it'd be like. It'd be like the
Vikings watching Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones. Here they're going
forward like the Cougar's watching cam Ward Garys.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
All right, let's get it.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Florida's going to the Turtle with the mont Williams and
Denzel Boston. Next year, Florida would go to the champion,
Florida go to the playoffs. Let's get a break, uh
factor fiction. We better dig deep here, man. We stunk
a week ago. We can't afford to do that again
next on ninety three three kJ RFM. The colored ten
is two o six two eight six to win your
(15:07):
way to a CM cracking.
Speaker 6 (15:09):
Game from your home for the Kraken Sports Radio ninety
three point three kJ r F. M.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
All right, by the way, there you go.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
There's the sign to be the tenth collar right now
for a pair of seats for the December eighth, Monday
night game against the Wild, which, by the way, you
and I will be there at that game. You aware
that Jackson, Dick and I are going to be trotted
out like circus clowns on the ice, which are you
really yes? For the Monday night December of the eighth game.
Apparently we have to wear shoulder pads, helmets, jockstraps, cups,
(15:37):
the whole thing, and the couple be on your face,
by the way, to protect your nogging when you go
face first into the ice, which both of us may do.
This may this might hurt. This thing they have is doing.
How would you describe what they're having us do? By
the way, because I still have a full of trepidation.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
For those that have been at Kraken games, occasionally they
will do this goofy thing where they strap two people
to a bungee cord and they will put balls around
the ice and then they'll say, ready, go and how
many balls you or I can put in a basket
determines the winner.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
So I go one way, you go the other. Yes,
and there's a bungee cord between us.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yes, Okay, there's a real good chance that one of
us is getting seriously hurts.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
I'm just telling you there's a great chance. And I
don't like it at all.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
But I mean the fact that I'm giving up Now,
I'm not giving up as much poundage to you as
I used to, but I'm still giving a poundage. I
think I'm at a somevere disadvantage here because I think
earth matters more than speed in you.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
I mean, I might just stand there and just kind
of wait until the clock expires.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
I mean, how long does this thing last? Is it
like a minute? Minute? Imagine about a minute.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Then I'm just I'm not going to go anywhere. I
might even wear cleats on the ice. Is that is
that clead? Just dig myself right in like I'm climbing
Mount Everest.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Now, Yeah, I had ice.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Boots, That's what I'm talking about. Definitely just give you
the spikes. Can Brooks give us some spikes? They don't
make spikes, No, they don't. They need to. Dan Sheridan
needs to get off his ass and start making cleats
and golf shoes. Man, come on, Danny. There's a huge
market of fifty two year old white guys like me
and Dick. It'll spend a buttload of money on golf
shoes if you guys get off him butt and start
making them. Danny, Come on, Danny. So anyway, yeah, we're
(17:16):
doing that, so you'll win the tickets and you'll come
see Dick and I make fools out of ourselves on
Monday night at the at the Kraken game. So we
got that going on. Paul Allen will join us later tonight.
We're gonna talk about JJ McCartney mccartner. I say, McCartney
McCarthy versus Max is it Brosmer?
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (17:35):
The backup quarterback who went to Minnesota. And I'm gonna
ask him, as a Seahawks fan, who do.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
We want to play?
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Do we want to see McCarthy or do you want
to see Brosmer? Because I mean, we don't know anything
about the Brosmer guy who is the guy from the
Rams that beat us in the playoff game? John what
was his name? You remember the name of John Wolfs, Right,
he could beat John Wolford for one game. Who knows
that what this kid's all about.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Oh, We've had many third string quarterbacks coming to Loomin
Field and beat the Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Now, none of them came in and beat defenses like
this though. That's right, that's right. They all came in
that quandary digs era that we spoke about.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
This would be pretty disappointing, right if they started brosmer
Is that his name?
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yeah? Is a bros Ner bros Murder? I think yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:19):
And he beat us, beat our defense, he beat Mike McDonald,
then it is going to be bad that night. If
that happens, then you would go to six and nine
at home, by the way, because they're six and eight. Now,
how about that for a little mouth and the fly.
He'd be six and nine at home, twelve and two
on the road. And if they lose this game Sunday
to Minnesota, I think we're going on the year Monday
saying Okay, there's a problem at home, Like something's going
(18:39):
on here, right, because this is not supposed to happen.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
This would be the Wisconsin loss. Yes, this would be
worse because it's at home.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Not worse because it doesn't knock us out of the
playoffs like the wiscons.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
I'm just saying the game itself, the context of just
the game. Agree the game would be worse because at
least you can say, well, we traveled there the two
time zone thing, blah blah.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Blah, but weren't the news man.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
The Hockeys were a bigger favorite at Wisconsin than the
Seahawks are in this game.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yeah, but they would have been a bigger favorite if
they played Wisconsin at home. You're telling me that the
Seahawks losing to Minnesota at home.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
What's the line in this game? By the way, half nine? Okay?
What was the line for the Badger game? Whatever it was?
You're telling me double digits?
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Well, first of all, you don't often see double digit
lines in the NFL anyway.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Not very often, and we didn't cover last week.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
And number two, you're playing a team we just talked
about it that might be playing a backup quarterback on
Sunday because McCarthy's got a concussion. Dude, to be terrible
to lose that game terrible. I mean, everything we said
about the Ram game, well this is they lost. But man,
they showed themselves, they equated themselves. Well they we feel
(19:46):
better now about their chances because they fought tooth and nail,
they threw four picks and they almost won the game.
And then two weeks later, you lose to Minnesota at home.
Now you can't I feel as I.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Feel as confident that we can hold Minnesota to thirteen
points as I was, and we could old Tennessee and
guess what the Seahawks defense did, hold Tennessee to thirteen
point That's right, that's right.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
So as long as.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
You'll give up a putt returner, a kickoff return to
a pick six, I think we'll give allow thirteen points.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Again, I think the Hawks will lose to Minnesota. No am,
I thinking about it now that you brought it up. Yes,
oh god, Factor fiction right now? Where's that to go?
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Glad you're with us, it's your shot at our weekly
thousand bucks and the ten thousand dollars grand prize. It's
Factor fiction, probably presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and hotel
where every day feels Lucky. Fact Door fiction is on
Sports Radio ninety three point three KJR FM.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Right, here's the deal. Ashley Ryan lost last night. Shit,
Carolina's that right against the Niners? All right, so that's
thirty one and twenty nine. We currently sit fifty one
point six percent for Chuck and Buck, forty six point
four percent for US, forty five point seven percent for
(21:02):
MJ in the midday, and you need like a telescope
the hubble to see Ian Ferness. Okay, so I'm not
even worried about him. But the best we can do
this week because we only have three games for each show.
If they lose them all, they're thirty one and thirty one.
If we sweep, we're twenty nine and thirty right, right,
So we're going to be a game back going into
(21:22):
next week. We would have to be at least one
game better than them to force a tie in fact
or fiction next week. So Dick, you talk a big game.
You're the only one here that does any research for
this segment. Neither one of us really give a damn.
Besides you, we're counting on you to hold the thing
down and take care of business man. In the words
(21:44):
of Billy Madison, don't blow it.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Okay, right, as I mentioned to Jackson earlier, Okay, the
Husky defense is excellent.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
They are eighteenth in yards per game. Don't do it.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
They are nineteenth in points per game allowed, their nineteenth
in the yard per attempt.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
What am I doing? He's doing it? What am I doing?
He's doing it? I know exactly what you're doing. Just continue.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Ohio State scored twenty four against them. Michigan scored twenty
four against them. Most of those were given by demand
to Michigan, by the way, not the defense. They haven't
allowed more than twenty five points all season, and that
was in a blowout win over Illinois, what didn't really matter. Meanwhile,
the Ducks have held eight teams to fourteen points or less. Okay,
(22:30):
USC scored twenty seven, which was the most the Ducks
have given up.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
All year long.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
The most I can see Oregon scoring is twenty seven.
The most I can see the Husky scoring is twenty four.
The over under is fifty one and a half. If
they both reached those high point numbers, it still goes under.
Give me the under in the Husky Duck game at
fifty one and a half.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
H you're talking about the number nine and the number
nineteen scoring defenses in college of the top twenty scoring
defenses in college football. So if the trends bear out,
then yes, the under will be a winner on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
So what's the light again, Dick? Fifty one and a half?
All right? Under?
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Fifty one and a half. You like, I'm not going
with a second competent. Hang on, second, boys, We've got
to do the disclaimer stuff here to keep it legal.
Fifty one and a half you liked it, fact you
hate it? Fiction to four, nine, four or five to one,
all courtesy of the Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel where
every day feels lucky.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Okay, fine, whatever. I mean.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
It's like Jerry Maguire when he went to Kinko's and
had his manifesto printed. This is how you win, man.
You let your balls hang out there, never mind what
people think. Go out there and just make a big,
risky move and just get it all back.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
I love the pick, and that probably means it's bast Yeah,
exactly what do you think, David, stupid idiot?
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Just he just jinxed it? You just jinks?
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Isn't me saying it?
Speaker 1 (23:59):
At reverse?
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Shins?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Oh, he's gonna reverse the reversal. You said that, how
do you reverse the reversal? Do you like it? I
do like it?
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Huh you triple stamp but double sam but I like it.
I'm terrible at this game. Well, if Jackson likes it,
we're screwed.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Man.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
All Right, we are host, So tell me, tell me
it sucks. It's terrible. It's terrible. It's a worse pick ever.
There you go, Thank you very much. All right, four
nine four five one. I'll brought to you twenty at halftime.
I'm gonna be tecking text for you, guys, twenty four
and twenty. I'm gonna find you and kick you right
in the nuts because I know where you sit by
the way. All right, Factor Fiction, get that pick in.
Now we're gonna break a little fun with audio slash.
(24:33):
Hey did you hear that? Coming up on ninety three
three kJ RFM.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
It's now time for sfday in Diggs fun with audio.
Jimmy g Paun Star, Jimmy mister garoppolo. Now let's have
some fun with audio. All right, here we go on
a Tuesday afternoon.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
The Husky Hanks will be here, Mario Bailey, Greg Lewis,
we'll discuss the UCLA game, look into the Organ game
on Saturday. We'll ask the Hanks would they rather have
a win over Oregon and Jed walks or they lose
in Jed stays what's more important? Jed fish coming back
for year three or the Dogs beating the Ducks on Saturday.
This is the kind of stuff we talk about here
on the Husky Hank Show. We approach the topics that
(25:12):
nobody else is stupid enough to approach on the radio program.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
No, no, no, no, All right, here we go. Hey, Dick,
did you happen to hear that? What's that?
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Dis speaking of Oregon? And I have no idea how
long this clip is. By the way, look at your show.
Shoot there zero second.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
It's forty eight seconds, thirty eight seconds.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
It does say that, doesn't Oregon head coach Dan Lanning
sweating profusely at US press conference today, speaking at a
press conference about the rivalry with Washington.
Speaker 7 (25:41):
It's definitely an important rivalry to us. This game means
a lot. It's probably the number one question I get
asked when I'm out on the road with donors and
support groups and talking about our university is about this game.
It's one that I struggled with early on when I
was here, you know, to start, they had some success
against this, so it means a lot to me. It's
one that I want to have success in. And they're
real coached. I mean, Jed does a good job. They
have good players. They've done a really good job in
(26:03):
talent evaluation. Their quarterbacks playing as well as anybody right now,
got good wide outs, got good back I know they've
been a little banged up. It sounds like they're getting
healthy similar to us. You know, we've been banged up.
So ultimately, though, you see a complete team, you know,
and then two fan bases that don't like each other,
which makes it fun.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
I just wish they would just go all in on
the coach hate thing, right enough with the pleasantries and
the compliments too nice. Yeah, you know, like I like
the fact that Landing is admitting that you Dub is
in his head because they've got to be. He's one
and three against Washington. He loses this game Saturday. He's
got a serious husky problem. But I about Dan Lanning
(26:43):
comes out and just says, man, I can't lose to
that guy. He never played high school football. He's a
computer nerd. He's only here because he grew up played
in Madden. There's no way I can let that guy do.
You can kick his s in an alley. Okay, have
you seen how much I sweat after wins. It's unbelievable,
how amped up I get. I cannot be that guy
that sweats that much and loses to that dork over there.
(27:06):
I can't have it. That's what I want. That's what
I want. I want more coach on coach hate in
college football.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
I have yet to see either one of these coaches
out scheme somebody else during.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
The football g Yeah, well so it will be if
it's close.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
I want to see which coach gets the upper hand
in play calling and decision making for the end of games.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Well, I mean it should be Jed Fish because that's
his forte right honestly, I mean that's why he was
brought here.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Am I missing a game that I don't remember Jeff
fishing somebody?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
No?
Speaker 2 (27:38):
No, I think there's been a couple of games where
I went the opposite way, like the Wazoo game last year, right.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Not how the fire against Maryland. Jed gets credit for that,
But it's not like there was decisions that were.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
I don't remember a game like we had in twenty
sixteen on Friday night when they beat Stanford and we
were all sitting around, going, man that Jonathan Smith, Holy moly, Yeah,
he's a future head coach and he became a future
head coach.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Hey, Dick, did happen to hear that? What's that?
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Shadoor Sanders beat the Raiders Sunday, ended up getting Chip
Kelly fired by the way, his first NFL start for
the Browns, and was hyped up afterwards, both in an
on field interview with CBS after the game and then
at his postgame press conference.
Speaker 8 (28:17):
It's amazing, you know, off of one week of practice,
you know what I mean? This one week of practice,
so imagine you know what a full off season looked like.
It get dangerous, but it's just a one week of practice.
So I'm just truly.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Thankful sum this performance.
Speaker 8 (28:33):
I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it a lot. Coming up
here before y'all six months ago, I couldn't tell you
I'll be here. That's how life is. Everybody's not in
the best situation, you know, but there's no excuse. You
gotta go out there and perform like there's no choice,
is no question, nobody cares. If this is one we
could prep, who cares? You know? So a lot of
people wanted to see me feel and it ain't gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
You know what that sounds like, don't you?
Speaker 2 (28:57):
So that was the on the field interview and then
minutes later at the podium, Yeah, you know what that
sounds like. That sounds like a PR person got to him. Yep,
that's exactly what that sounds like.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
That's why I included both because the first party, he's
like one week of practice, one week of practice, and
then the second party's like, nobody cares if.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
It's one week of practice. Exactly.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Dude, he had a Browns PR person get because I
guarantee when he's doing that TV interview, there's somebody standing there.
There always is, right, I mean, if you ever watch
an on field interview with a Seahawk player with CBS
or whoever, there's there's a PR person. Sometimes it's Dave Pearson,
sometimes Jeff Garza, sometimes Rich Gonzalez. There's always somebody there.
(29:39):
I guarantee you somebody said something to him, and you
know what, good for him for listening, because he actually
sounded relatively pleasant when he was at the podium versus
on the air with CBS.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I probably shouldn't, but I kind of like him, and
I kind of root for him.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
I get it, he's entertaining, he's entertaining man, but like,
I kind of want to see him sick seed. I
felt bad for him on Draft Day, and I kind
of want I don't think he's gonna be a great
NFL quarterback, but i'd like to see him.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
So I think you got I think you get tired
of guys like Rex Ryan just nitpicking everything.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Yes, I do, because I'm not a big fan of
his either.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
But I thought that was a little ridiculous, Like, really,
you're gonna bitch about the guy sitting there on the
bench and being distraught about the way he played when
he finally gets a chance to perform and doesn't play
well and he's sitting there on the bench and he's
not happy about it.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
I mean, I just thought, look.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
You want to not be a fan of the guy,
not be a fan of the guy, but that was
just stupid. We got time for one more Jackson three?
All right, Hey, Dick, did you happen to hear that
what's that, Dick. Former NFL stars Shannon Sharp and Shadow Chosinko,
we're reacting to Shador's win on their Nightcap podcast on Sunday,
and we're outraged that Brown's rookie, that the Browns rookie
(30:53):
quarterback did not get a game ball from Cleveland head
coach Kevin Stefanski.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yeah, I'm making his first star.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
Yea, that you didn't really want the start a guy
that you didn't even want your organization, right right, that's
all he did, great Johnson.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Yeah, you don't get no game ball. Now, you don't
get no game ball.
Speaker 7 (31:09):
That one is pick.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
That's not what they won't. They don't want him to succeed.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
You know that, even the head coach, the head coach guy,
the head coaches guy is Dylan Gabriel.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
I just I don't get it, Oh cho, Sometimes you
gotta Sometimes you got a lot to your team, even
if you don't like you do it.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
You know, I wonder if there's actually some truth to that.
By the way, and the reason why I say this
is because you remember what the Browns owner said when
they drafted him.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Remember that he's like, this isn't my pick? Is the
GM owner came out, is it Haslam? Is that right?
Speaker 2 (31:44):
And he said, hey, if this doesn't work, don't play me.
This is the GM's guys. So there might be some
truth there.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Well, I mean, did he necessarily deserve the game ball?
Speaker 6 (31:54):
Man?
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Miles Garrett could get a game ball?
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Quinch Sean Jenkins had two touchdowns in that game, So
it's like it doesn't necessarily have to go to chedor.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
No, it doesn't.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
But if you want to hype the guy up a
little bit and give me some confidence if he's going
to be starting for you, which he is this Sunday,
it might have may have been a good thing for camaraderie.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
I mean, all Miles Garrett did was have three sacks
and four tackles.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
He got the game ball, right, you should have got Yeah,
I get it. Well, he's scared of Miles Garrett.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
He knows.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
If he doesn't give him the game ball, he's going
to take his helmet off and crack him in the head.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Like Mason Rudolph.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
We're gonna break the Husky Hawks next on ninety three
