Speaker 1 (00:00):
Land Zerline Hugh from the NFL Network will join us
coming up at five point twenty courtesy of our friends
at the Queen Anne Beer Hall. Great spot to stop
into before and after every cracking game. Got a spot
in Kirkland, the Moss Bay Hall right there on the
water Baby on the main Dragon Kirkland, the Old Wild
Rover for those that remember that bar back in the day,
former host of the Bryce Fisher Show. By the way,

(00:22):
about fifteen twenty years ago. Actually, no, geez god, that was.
That was twenty years ago, two thousand and four, two
thousand and five, so you remember that spot.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
That's where the Moss Bay Hall is.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
And then Justin Andrews Juice who owns Queen Anne Beer Hall,
is opening up another spot, Occidental Hall, which would be
on Occidental next to Lumenfield. That's coming up in a
couple months, so keep an eye out for that. But
land zer Line's gonna join us coming up next segment
and talk some draft with him. And I would disagree
with Mike on the best player mentality. I think the Hawks,

(00:54):
outside of maybe running back and punter and kicker, you
can come up with a reason to draft any position
in this draft.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I mean cornerback.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
You got one guy under contract long term, and that's
that you really like, and that's Devin Witherspoon. Safeties are
getting older, You can always use more edge rushers, can
always use more depth on your defensive front. Offensive line
obviously you got massive needs on the offensive line. Cooper
Cups not long for the job here in Seattle. Guy's
thirty one to thirty two years old. The only guy

(01:24):
that you feel good about long term there, I think
is Jackson Smith and Jigma and then quarterbacks Sam Darnold.
I mean, has he really proven a lot where you
could say no to a quarterback that you fall in
love with? So I think you can make an argument
for just about doing anything at number eighteen.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
If you stay there undrafting, well, I think philosophically you
just say okay. The argument for taking the best player
available regardless of need is you say okay, if you
did that over of course to six' eight, ten if
you always took a ten whereas, need you, say, well
we need a we need a, center so let's get
the best. Center, well now you're taking a none because

(02:01):
it's a position. Need, well if you do that over
six or eight or ten years, now you've got a
roster full of, nines whereas if you took the best available,
player you have a roster full of.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Tents like that's the.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
PHILOSOPHY i kind of look a little bit of both
in that once your pass about, fifteen you look at
the success rate on these, guys you're just as liable
to hit on somebody that you draft or position of.
NEED i would, SAY i would summarize and, say draft

(02:34):
the best player that you have graded from among the
positions you, need and then you, say, well that's like
a bullseye right. Now The seahawks really need, guards offensive,
guards and then a little farther from the, epicenter maybe
tight ends, receiver maybe you, know an edge rusher would
be the top priority on the. Defense but you know,

(02:56):
what if there's a safety That mike McDonald thinks is
Another Kyle, hamilton you know he may just get real
itchy or a week side linebacker to Replace Tyres knight
because he sees as A Patrick patrick. Queen you, know
there may be somebody, say, well that wasn't really a position.
Need but you, know, couches, coaches, gms they tend to

(03:19):
fall in love with players.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
NO i, MEAN i just think, again if you think
a guy, like for, example last, YEAR i Remember dick
AND i having the conversation on the, air and you
were a part of it, too About Bejhon robinson, right
Like Daniel, Jarmiah Be John robinson safest player in the.
Draft blah blah. Blah, well we've already Got Kenny, walker
we already Have Zach. Sharpernay, okay, fine but what do
you Think Bejon robinson's gonna. Be if you think he's
gonna be you, Know barry Frickin, sanders then who cares

(03:41):
who you?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Have take him right and get him on your damn football. Team.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Man So i'm a fan of the edge rusher. Idea
i'm a fan of the interior of the offensive. LINE
i do wonder if there's a right, Tackle probably too
early at eighteen to go after a right, tackle BECAUSE
i don't know about you, Know Abe lucas's, injury His
can they really count on him long? Term are all
those things going to be a factor for? Them the
contract situations of their, cornerbacks finding a running mate For

(04:09):
Ernest jones down the, road if they do find a
linebacker that they. Love SO i just think they're in
a really great. Spot AND i mentioned this last week To,
lance And i'll mention it to. You Having Shador sanders'
fault in number eighteen is almost a perfect scenario because
then we're talking about either a taking the, guy which
would just cause chaos in the draft room on draft,
night or b getting a bidding war going for teams

(04:30):
that want to move up and get.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Him, YEAH i, mean you'd assume that the teams at you, know, fifteen, sixteen,
seventeen and you, know they might be thinking the. Same
SO i DON'T i don't know that there's anything really
unique About seattle at. Eighteen but, yeah if If pittsburgh
is sitting there at twenty, one let's say they like,
it you, know and and they feel antsy that somebody's
going to trade, up that may motivate. Them, sure you

(04:55):
could be in a position where you affects more if
you kind of feign in interest In. Saner for, ALL i,
Know John schneider loves. HIM i, MEAN i remember when
he Drafted Russell, wilson AND i remember being in an
elevator At Seahawk. Stadium just happened coincidentally to be in
The elvey were riding, up and he said that he

(05:17):
thought That Russell wilson was better THAN rg, three who
had gone number two in The redskins made a ransom
to get him, Right and he was saying it with
a look at as if, like, Well thursday Follows, wednesday, right, like,
uh like you, know like that's how he was talking
About Russell wilson being better THAN rg. Three Russell wilson

(05:39):
his third round or what the seventy fifth pick was
clear you, know, uh just demonstrably and clearly and unequivocally
and undebatably a better quarterback THAN rg three, three who
had just gone. Two so then you, know who knows
WHAT rg three would have done had he not suffered
that knee. Injuries never really the same after. That BUT

(05:59):
i think you, Know schnyder won. THAT i want to
say it was a debate BECAUSE i didn't debate, Him
but if you ever did get in a debate about,
IT i would, say you, know, Clearly Russell wilson's had
a better career than.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
R g, three no. Question well let's do.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Com our buddy Lanzerline, LANCE i gotta tell you last
time you were on with what you. Said, hey can
you idiots get somebody on the air that knows football
all we. Do we got FORMER nfl quarterback humil enjoining us,
today SO i hope people.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Suffice, well it's about.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Time IF i, Do, lance it'll be a.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
First so uh but, uh let's let's let's let's take
a shot at it and rather than us throw topics
that you to start, off just uh maybe share with
us top of mind for you right? Now what's what's
trending or or what's got to a niche in you
in concerning the.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
Draft, well you, know right now is when all the
little all THE i think a lot of teams are
eliminating players from their. Board Isaiah, bond wide receiver For
university Of, texas turned himself into police, today, uh based
on a sexual assault claim against.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Him so we got to see how it plays.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Out but it's things like, this you, know it seems
like In april you start hearing about things like, this And,
joyce you, KNOW i don't know why the timing is like,
that but it just. Is and so teams have to
start working on their. Boards AND i will tell you
you share with you that based on some of the
TEAMS i spoke, With i'm not Sure Isaiah bond was
really beloved Either texas Or, alabama where he'd spent his.

(09:08):
Time SO i know there's some scouts who really already
had him off the board because they just thought he
was a little bit a little bit too much to deal.
With but things like that start coming, up you start
having coaches get involved in the process a lot more
and arguing their guys.

Speaker 5 (09:22):
And so depending on the depending on the you, know the.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
Rooms sometimes the coaches have more. Strokes sometimes it's the personnel.
Guys so the boards can start changing a little bit
in this. Month not usually a, lot but you may
have one or two guys who they really start to
fight for a little. Bit you have the thirty, visits
top thirty, visits and SO i, think right, Now, hugh
What i'm interested in is finding out from some league,
sources you, know who are some guys that may be

(09:48):
falling a little. Bit Will, johnson the cornerback out of
out Of, michigan has not run a forty yet and
there are some questions about how fast he. Is and
he's supposed to run on the, fourteenth But i'm curious
to see if he actually does run.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
Or if you, know he ends up having another hamstring,
tweak if you know WHAT i.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
Mean, Right so THAT'S i think it's become a lot
more difficult for teams to. Assess you, Know it's one
thing to watch watch, tape but now more and more
teams are starting to use computer vision to access what
a player's speed may or may not be based on you,
KNOW ai and. Technology SO i think that's a really
interesting twist, too because fewer and, fewer you, know more

(10:27):
and more players are doing fewer and fewer.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Workouts they, may you, know do a broad, jump but
they don't do a vertical. League they may.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
Do forty, times but they're not going to do short
short area. Testing they do the things that they know
they're going to do. Well so it's become a little
bit tougher for teams to gauge who some of the
athletes are and SO i like to or how much
athleticism a player, has how much bend he, has things like.
That so right, NOW i think You i'm trying to
find out as we start to smooth out some of the,

(10:55):
Edges i'm trying to find out where some of the
ripples may be in the draft that CAUSE i had a,
fall or maybe cause some dominoes to fall in the.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Draft.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Yeah, Well Drake london a couple of years, back he
had a similar. Deal you, know he didn't run AT
usc pro day his own personal, day never ran a forty.
Time there's no forty. Time but didn't Bother falcons And
i'm sure they think that was a good. Pick but all,
right so you're you're looking for the, ripples what have you?

Speaker 6 (11:20):
Found, well you, Know one of the THINGS i found
is that, it's you, know the quarter of the first
and foremost it's gonna be pick number three The.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Giants are The giants gonna Take shad Or sanders or
are they going to pass on? Quarterback, yeah it's really
a question about.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
Do you take a, need a big, need because you
know you're not sure if you're going to be drafting
that high next, year Although Las vegas odds say you'll
be drafting a really high next.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Year but do you draft the third, quarterback a guy
who you is.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Unlikely to play this year and pass up on Either
Travis hunt Or Abdull?

Speaker 5 (11:49):
Carter is that what you're gonna?

Speaker 6 (11:51):
Do SO i, think you, know if he, falls if
he doesn't get drafted at, THREE i Think should Or
sanders is gonna. SLIDE i don't think he goes to The,
saints AND i honestly don't think he goes to the
Steel and we Know seattle's out of the quarterback.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
Business So.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
I've been predicting the last two mock drafts That should
Or staniers would slide into the twenties Because i've seen
this scenario before and once if once you really start
paying attention that's a big that's a, big big domino
because if that quarterback goes, there then all of a,
Sudden New england's in business at number. Four So New
england then can Take Abdull carter and not even. Sweated

(12:25):
SO i think That Shador sanders is the big domino
that needs to fall. First does he go at three or.
Not if he, does THEN i think number four is
going to be. Happy number five is going to be.
Happy if he, doesn't Then New england's fourth pick is
not worth as much as they had initially, hoped and
they may have to reach on a tackle they don't above.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Well Land, ZERLINE Nfl, NETWORK nfl Dot com with us
that check out Mock draft three point zero by the
way up on dot com right now on THE nfl
dot com and there's there's two offensive.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
LINEMEN i want to ask you. About this is the
great thing about.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Doing this show with you THAT i know that you'll
know who these guys, are and if you don't know
who they, are that you'll you'll be as your way
through and convince people that you do know who they.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Are, okay so let's start with two.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Guys one guy did have a visit ALREADY i think,
yesterday and another GUY i believe is gonna be coming
To seattle next.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Week.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Uh they're both interior linemen and they both played for
the same, team and That's Georgia Jared. WILSON i guess
the center was here, yesterday and Then Dylan fairchild is
gonna be here next. Week so thus Two Georgia bulldog
interior Lineman lance if The seahawks have their eye, on,
Yeah i'll start with.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
A, fairchild probably a fourth round.

Speaker 6 (13:33):
Pick i'm guessing he's gonna be, there and, uh sometime
in day THREE i thought his tape was more fifth
round this. Year to be honest with, you you played
better last year than he did this. Year, okay he's
got good, size he is a good, athlete tested, well you,
know he just he just was. INCONSISTENT i thought his contact,
balance his core strength was a little. Inconsistent he didn't

(13:55):
really generate much movement at all as a dry, blocker
which which which bothered me a little. Bit he does,
have you, know good lateral acceleration on moved. Blocks if
you're looking for a guy in his own, SCHEME i
think he can do. That he's got that type of.
Athleticism he looks the part for. Sure he's got, size proportional,
frame he's got good. LENGTH i think what you're betting

(14:16):
on right here is that he just had a tougher
year this, year and you have to go to the
twenty three tape and then coach him up a little.
BIT i do think he's gonna be a starting, CENTER
i mean a starting. GUARD i just don't know if
he's gonna be an average starting guard is what you're hoping,
for or a below average starting guard that you may
be looking. To you know where he's gonna be in
camp fights and year three and year. FOUR i think

(14:37):
that's that's gonna be the real question right. There so
he was a starter on a, good, tough physical. LINE
i like their line coach up, There Stacy, Ceerrils BUT
i Thought fairchild was a little disappointing this.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Year Jared, WILSON i thought his take was just.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
Okay, HONESTLY i didn't THINK i didn't Think george's offensive
line was nearly what we expected it to be with
all those returning, Starters AND i Think georgia would tell
you the same.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
Thing but With Jared, wilson He's i'm not.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
As high on as other, People But i'm the low
man on him because most people have him going in
the second or third.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Round AND i do think he's gonna go on day.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
Two he was a really good, tester really, quick really, explosive.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Did a really nice job of. TESTING i don't love
the core.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
Strength and my dad was AN nfl offensive line coach and,
he you, know he really pounded it through my head
that you've got to have a certain level of course
strength to HANDLE nfl. Power you just you have to have.
It and that's something that could bothers. Me but once,
again if you're looking for somebody to run that zone,
scheme which we talked, about that's what The hawks are
going to be. Running he's. Textbooks he's a textbook example

(15:38):
of somebody who can get into space and get to
angles and cut people, off you, know cut, off have
a chance to get out there and work with the
guard to get on that three technique and maybe get
a little cut off on stretch, plays get up to.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
Linebackers so he does have. That he's got that athletic.
Talent he's just not gonna be a guy that's gonna
move people around in the phone booth.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
Much, yeah, yeah he's got, eleven so the wet ball
In seattle wouldn't be a. Problem but you, Know dave
mentioned the guys that have Visited. Seattle The, seahawks like all,
teams are often drafting players that they hadn't had any contacts.
With so just because, right like the guy's visit doesn't.
Matter let me take your Back lance to two thousand and.

(16:20):
One dave AND i were doing pre draft stuff and you,
know we never mentioned offensive guard as a position in.
NEED i can't remember exactly what we were talking, about
BUT i know wasn't. Guard and then The seahawks Drafted Steve.
Hutchinson well the rest was, history, right and nobody ever regretted.
That so Now seattle sits at eighteen they didn't need a,

(16:40):
guard then they do need a.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Guard.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Now is there anybody that you think that if The
Seattle seahawks said they drafted guard at, eighteen where you, Think,
okay you know what that. Fits he's a good enough
player to warrant that. Pick it's not a great guard.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Aft at the top, END i, think you, KNOW i
think you could get away with With Tyler. BOOKER i
think he does enough from his own scheme standpoint uh
to be able to get away with. It they don't
run a lot of his own scheme stuff At, Alabama
SO i don't you, KNOW i don't love that fit.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
There Donovan jackson would.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
Work he's just that would be a little bit early
For Donovan. JACKSON i think it'd be a little bit
early For Grey's.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
Abel but you, know if you don't get caught up
in trying to get too cute.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
With draft, positioning and you just want to go find a,
STARTER i think for, me for What seattle likes to,
Do Donovan jackson From Ohio state Grays, abel if you
just want to go find you, know you don't you
don't want to get too cute, With, WELL i draft
him at twenty six instead.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
Eighteen, well who cares where you're. Drafting you're trying to
find a, starter trying to find a good, starter AND
i think both of those guys are going to be good.
Starter SO i think if you really.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
Wanted to go with, guard you, Could you could go
with any one of those. Three you might get your
pick of first guard off the board at.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
EIGHTEEN i think The colts at fourteen are a.

Speaker 6 (17:56):
POSSIBILITY i think The cowboys at twelve are a, possibility
and then The airs on The cardinals at sixteen or a.
Possibility but if those teams don't go, GUARD i don't
think guard, Really i'm not sure guard should go that.
Early The hawks may have their shot at first guard
if that's what they want to.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Take well lands zerline with us again courtesy a Queen
An Beer, Hall Moss Bay, hall And kirkland and soon
to open Up Occidental hall In. Soto there's another report
that says That Jalen milroe is gonna come visit The.
Seahawks AND i, MEAN i don't mean to be a smart,
ass but people keep Calling Jalen milroe a dual threat.
Quarterback AND i thought to be a dual threat quarterback
he had to run and, throw AND i don't see

(18:32):
a guy who can throw the ball at. ALL i,
mean MAYBE i just did watch Enough alabama. FOOTBALL i
know early in the year he put up some decent,
numbers BUT i just saw a guy the big games
THAT i. Watch, man he's just missing, fundamental elementary. THROWS i,
mean would you Trust Jalen milrow enough to take him
on day one or even early in day two of this, Draft.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
No not. Me i've got a fourth round grade on.
Him but the problem is he's gonna go in the second.
Round AND i think now he got invited to the.
COMBINE i mean he invited.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
To the, draft which is a really puzzling thing for,
me because you, know to put him in the first,
ROUND i think you have To everything that you said is, True,
Soften you have to you have to realize that he
was a bad decision maker this. Year he didn't take
good care of the, football didn't make decisions, well was
inaccurate on those everyday throws is WHAT i call, him

(19:21):
just point a to point to be the ones that
a good quarterback in THE nfl should be able to
make on a consistent basis at about a seventy five
to eighty percent clip unless there's a real tight, coverage
and he wasn't. That he wasn't even close to. That
SO i think accuracy is an. Issue decision making is an.
Issue takes you, know too many sacks and puts them
to his offensive line in tough. Positions but he is

(19:44):
an explosive.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
ATHLETE i mean he is a.

Speaker 6 (19:47):
Lie he's a will linebacker playing quarterback with wide receiver.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Speed so it's just he's he's such a. Freak and
that's from that.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
STANDPOINT i think a lot of, teams you, know they may,
NOT i know it's not popular to talk.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
About, it BUT i MEAN i think people.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
Are looking at him and, saying, hey, look we may
make him a backup, quarterback a guy we can get
some package plays, with and we'll see if we can
develop him into a starting. Quarterback but if, not we
got a guy who can score touchdowns on the, field
and we'll figure out where we want to play him
and what we want to do with.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Them but we want.

Speaker 6 (20:17):
A, big, fast explosive athlete and the fact that he
might be able to play some wide receiver or running
back or quarterback or a combination of those three, positions you,
know because The Taysom hill model has been really really
worked well for The, saints and this is a guy
with more, speed about the same. Size AND i would
Say taysom actually coming out was actually a decent.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Passer he just had a ton of knee. Entries BUT
i think that's WHY i south of you're hearing a
lot of talk about.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
Him it's not because the tape was, good because it
Wasn't it's just that he has a rare athletic, traits
AND i think teams are just fallen in love with,
it and they just, say, look give us a mega,
athlete we'll figure it.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Out lancer line with us And. Lance WHEN i assess
The seahawks tight, ENDS i just kind of think they're
man AND i think there's an upgrade so that that
they'd love to. Have, obviously If Ty warren falls to,
eighteen you, know your Pop Achilles heel just sprinting to
get that card to Grab Ty. Warren but but you,

(21:14):
KNOW i think more, realistically you put the lights On
Colston loveland From, michigan and AND i watched a lot
of game, tape and THEN i was. Moved you, Know
i'm not sure IF i love him as a, BLOCKER
i don't hate him as a. BLOCKER i want to
see Some travis kelcey in there of, him you, know
BECAUSE i really love his. Movement but THEN i went.

(21:35):
BACK i was moved to go back and Watch travis
kelce tape At, cincinnati and He kelsey had a much bigger,
frame you, KNOW i, mean he was he came out
at two fifty, five Whereas loveland's at two. Forty that's
obvious in just watching them on the. Hoof but where
are you On Colston. Loveland do you think that that

(21:55):
he would warrant to pick it around? Eighteen and how
do you like him At?

Speaker 5 (21:59):
Seattle? YEAH i love.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
HIM i think he's gonna be you, KNOW i talk
to people At michigan who, said AND i trust.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
HIM i trust the.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
People At michigan because they've done a great job of
building up these athletes and then they've been very good
with their analysis of who they are when they're coming
out and they, say, look he's got plenty of. Dogs
he'll Be he'll be a functional blocker because he's willing
to try and he's willing to get, tough and that's
something that he's gonna. Do is he ever gonna be
a plus? Blocker, no but a lot of guys get.
BETTER i want to going To heaves get better when

(22:28):
he came From wisconsin to to The Houston. Texans SO
i think the same thing is going to be the
case With Colson. Lovelin WHAT i love is that he
is another pass catching. Threat so What seattle needs is
another pass. Catcher they've got a field stretcher And, Valdez,
Scantling Cooper. Cup we got to find out what he has.
Left and of course they got a very good receiver
In smith And, jigba but they need another. Target, well

(22:49):
you can look at wide receiver or you can look
at tight. End and you know that's why you said
you'd sprint it up there with With Tyler, warren because
forget the. Guard we're taking the best. Player this guy's
too good high on our, board so we're gonna take
him and we'll figure out guard. Later we're not passing
on a good football player right. Now would they have
the same conviction With Colston?

Speaker 5 (23:08):
LOVELAND i don't, know they.

Speaker 6 (23:09):
MIGHT i MEAN i think they need ANOTHER i think
they need another pass catching.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
Option and he's a good pass catching. OPTION i got
a good grade on. Him but you, KNOW i, just,
uh is he going to be that? That why is
he going to be a true combination tight?

Speaker 6 (23:22):
END i Think warren will. Be i'm not sure On.
LOVELAND i think he'll be good. Enough but if you
if you really want, that and usually you want you
tied in to be able to.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
Block a little bit in that kind of running, scheme
you go.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
Run So i'm not sure that he's as good a
fit As, warren BUT i think he would fit And
i'd be perfectly fine if you went at.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Eighteen to be honest with, you.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Well real quick lance before you go Lands zerline again
courtesy If Queen Anne Beer, hall Mospe Hall Occidental hall
is going to open up by Mid, may by the,
way so be ready for. That we talked about this
briefly last, week but just an. Update you had The
seahawks last week Taking ted McMillan at number eighteen in
your in your latest mock.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Draft any reason to change that today a week?

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Later and we also talked about that comedy made a
couple of years ago where he talked about not watching.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
TAPE i guess on his.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Own some people kind of twisted that to make him
say he wasn't a fan of. Football is his work
ethic being, questioned you think by anybody in THE nfl at?

Speaker 5 (24:15):
All?

Speaker 6 (24:17):
NOW i actually ask about him this week based on
our conversation last, week because he's one of the guys
That i'm you, Know i'm really curious about him Versus
Matthew golden in terms of who's gonna go first out
of those two wide.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
Receivers the TEAM i.

Speaker 6 (24:28):
Spoke with When i'm trying to gather intel on where
these guys may get. Drafted they thought McMillan would be
the first wide receiver off the, board so.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
He may not be there at.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
EIGHTEEN i think if he doesn't go, first If golden,
does then, McMillan could you, know could falls It's AND
i asked, specifically this is a scouting.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
DIRECTOR i, said.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
You, know what do you think about his comments he
made about not watching Film and he, said, hey you,
KNOW i don't love. IT i don't think he's an
ultra competitive physical, guy BUT i think he wants to,
win AND i think he wants to be a good
football player and all.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
That all that stuff checks. Out so is he one
of these rabid dogs out? There, no do you have to.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Be, no you.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
Don't but when the ball's up in the, air he's
gonna win. HIM i think he needs to play a
little bit more physically to impose his will on guys
and to catch space from time to time because he
has such an. Advantage AND i think sometimes he relies
too much on playing basketball above the, rim and it's
gonna be a little tougher challenge in THE.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Nfl but you know it's technically it's gonna be a good.
Player he's gonna He's i'm not worried about.

Speaker 6 (25:29):
HIM i do think he probably comes off the board
before eighteen because it's not a real deep wide receiver,
Draft so if you want a, good good wide, receiver.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
You may have to jump out there a little early
to do.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
It got, It, lance great. Stuff we'll talk in a.
Week when does four point oh come out day before the?

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Draft is that?

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Right? Yes day of, draft day.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
BEFORE i THINK i turn it in day.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
BEFORE i think it's day of draft in the morning at.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Sometime can we get can we get like a sneak
peek for your boys? Here MAYBE i can email it to.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
You but that's probably about it Because i'll be up
late at night In Los angeles working.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
OFF i gotta wake up at four point thirty in
the morning to do my radio show at five.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
Am that's WHAT i hate about Going. West matt radio
show comes really.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Early for, yeah, yeah trust.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
Me Going east for, us there's no cakewalk either on
the air at six pm and not off the air till.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Ten but, hey we.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Do we work at The toys And Games department Of
life we have no right to complain about. Anything lance
here the, man great stuff and we're talking a week all, right,
Buddy thanks.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
MAN i appreciate.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
It thanks.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Good all, right Lan, Zerline so you want to ask
you that same question THAT i Asked. Lance, uh just
you Know teed McMillan's work, ethic, right is that a
concern for? You it's possible that maybe he's just a
twenty year old kid that just said something that he
shouldn't have.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Said. Period we'll get to that. Next on ninety three THREE.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
Kjrfm you're listening to The home of The husky And
seattle's BEST Nfl draft coverage in the twenty twenty FIVE Nfl.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Draft now back To.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Southian dick proudly brought to you By Emerald Queen casino
On sports ninety three point three kJ R.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Fm all, right we are back here on ninety three
three kJ, Rfm Softie dick And.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Jackson dick is.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Out he was in For dick today tomorrow From Tacoma
Cheney stadium for The rainiers. Game AND i think IF
i have my schedule right for, tomorrow which who the
hell knows IF i do or. Not Ben williamson by
The way And Cole yong will both join us on
tomorrow's show from Tacolemb.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
A good day to have those guys on, us So
Mina chimes as. Well.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Masters Justin rose your, leader seven under par after day.
ONE i had to confirm this just to double check
it wasn't like some parody account or. Something but does
anybody know who Jose Luis ballister? Is by the, way
is that name ring a bell with? Anybody hugh Jose Luis.
Ballister he is a highly Regarded spanish amateur that is
playing in The masters and admitted today to taking a

(27:52):
piss in Race creek during The. Masters he's getting he's
getting called out by people for that, apparently so yeah he.
Was the group Was Scottie scheffler And Justin thomas and
took the break the bathroom break after hitting his third
shot On azalea that's the famous number twelve, hole by the,
way twenty one year old shot of four over seventy,

(28:14):
six and later forgot that there were restrooms available on
the course and decided to whip it out and pee
and Race creek during The. Masters nobody would even know
who this guy was until he whipped it out and
took a leak into maybe the most famous creek In
america on the most famous golf course in the.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Country how about?

Speaker 3 (28:32):
That, yeah slightly. Irreverent come, on, now come, ON.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
I, mean if he's just looking to make a name for,
himself job well, done my. Friend, hey let me go
back and ask you About tet. McMillan do you have
concerns about him if he's there at number.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Eighteen, No i've done a lot of tape study on
him and he's a fun player to watch because he's
really a smooth. Athlete now there's some. Limitations first of,
all just in your, mind just think Of Drake london
if you can remember, That, uh you, Know atlanta came

(29:09):
from Usc the big thing About Drake, london you know
six foot three and seven. Eights, okay so he's basically sixty.
Four tep McMillan six foot four and one eighth similar. Frames,
Now Drake london never ran a, forty so we don't know.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
What he.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Ran But tep McMillan four or five. Three that's about
as slow as you'd want for the first. Round but
when you talk about it being in a six foot four,
guy here's the. Thing As london was a basketball, player
this guy McMillan was an elite volleyball. Player so, there
there and and, really honestly it shows up when you
watch him on. Tape his body, control his his ball

(29:46):
skills like huge catch. Radius he has an ability to
win the ball's in the, air he goes and gets the.
Ball now he has a unique style with his his route.
Running and THEN i get the sense that he's not
running full speed right that HE i don't want to
say he's jogging his, route but they're. There he's definitely

(30:06):
dialing down and that allows him to get in and
out of breaks faster because he's he's not Going it's
almost like Remember Le'Veon, bell the running back for The.
Steelers remember you had that odd style where he would
just kind of he would just kind, of you, know you,
know almost kind of, hesitate wouldn't hit exactly, right wouldn't

(30:27):
hit the whole, hard you. KNOW i mean it's a unique.
Style but, man where you really like him is the
ball in the. Area he'll go over the. Middle, now
he's the times he's in the. Slot there's a lot
of plays on tape where he is courageous going over
the middle and beautiful. Hands uh, yeah you. Look look
he's worthy of an eighteen on pick and, UH i

(30:50):
think he would fix a h AN x need a
split in need that you, uh you had a rise
once you traded de K. Metcalf you need an outside.
Guy this guy's an outside. Guy, yeah he's fun to.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Watch, well you think about a Combo Jackson smith and
jig Ben ted McMillan When jack When jaysn signs his
next contract for the next what three four five? Years
that could be pretty. Lethal but put yourself in the brown.
Shoes we got about a minute and a half. Here
Cam or just went To Tennessee Abdull carter's right there
behind DOOR. A Travis hunters behind DOOR. B what are
you doing for The?

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Browns?

Speaker 3 (31:25):
YEAH i probably Go Abduall carter and just put him
across across From Miles. GARRETT i think there's less questions
about About Abdul. CARTER i think he's an ascending. PLAYER
i now you could say that That Travis hunter is
an ascending, player because you know he kind of dipped on.
Both but But Travis hunter is a spectacular. ATHLETE i

(31:48):
mean takes your breath. Away there's some technique issues there he.
Had he's listed one hundred and eighty. Four there's some
some people think he's closer to one seventy five during the,
season you, know does he have the frame to stand
the riggers and truly be an. Offense he can play
offense in this, League there's no question he and and

(32:08):
obviously can play defense in this. League but he's Not
he's not A. dB you, know he's Not Patrick shirtan
as a, prospect like like we've been. Doing this is
our twenty seventh. Year he would be a HIGH dB
in any, year but he's. Not you, know he's not
a Top he's not a top FIVE dB because his

(32:30):
technique is as well below top. Five his athleticism is.
There SO i just think there's a few more questions
About Travis Hunt Abduw, Carter, yeah like where's the? Flaw
show me the flaw in that? Guy you, know and
and and he's you, know he had a position. Change
he's he's just coming into it as a pass, rusher.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Right, WELL i think for him getting to play Alongside Miles,
GARRETT i can't imagine a better situation for a rookie
edge rusher to walk into than to have that guy
occupying block was on the other side of the line of.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Scrimmage we're gonna break
