of justice. Somebody that can come through for you. If

a dog has beating your balls, whatever it is, Sweet
James knows exactly how to get the money you deserve
out of that insurance company. So give b a call
eight hundred and nine million, eight hundred nine zero zero
zero zero zero zero on Sweet James dot com. So
we had your own pal, Pete Carroll, I feel sorry
(03:08):
for us. On the radio show yesterday. How'd you pull that? Uh?
Texted him, Okay, said we're doing the show with Doug Baldwin.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Oh that's how I got it.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
And he wrote back and when it was Doug, Doug
was great. Doug was great.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Uh, Doug is always great to have on the air.
But I first texted Pete a few weeks back. Actually, no,
I texted Pete a few months ago asking to get
him on, and he said, not now, but you know,
later on down the road. And so I sent Pete
a text a few weeks ago when we found out
that Doug was going to be co hosting for Dick
yesterday because he was out doing a storm game. And uh,
(03:47):
he wrote back, and I swear all I heard was
you doing, Pete Carroll.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Hey, yeah, I'm pump.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Let's do it man.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
His reaction, what's shaking? Brother, listen to Springs right now?
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Can have new fees out.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Man, And he sounded exactly. I mean, the guy's only
been gone for nine months. My god, it's not like
it's been ten years since he last coached the Seahawks.
But no, but things turn over fast in today's day
and age, and we move on quick, you know. We
say a guy's name over and over and over and
over and over again, and then like five months later,
it's like, who was that kid that was playing quarterback
the transferred? Ah yeah, I think Pete Carroll would just
(04:26):
be forgotten like all those other guys. No, but you
forget about the mannerisms and the throwing of the football
and the Peter Pan and all the b has.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
But I'm happy that you had him on.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah, he was great. He said he's taking a teaching
job at USC.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
I'm surprising.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
How about that?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
That doesn't surprise me at all? Why? Well, for a
few reasons.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Number one, if Pete Carroll has genius if we call
college football coaches, that it was what he figured out
while he was getting his Masters to restudying the work
of a guy named Abraham Maslow, which is the always
compete whatever kind of mantra, and all the stuff he
came up with was based on his inspiration from his thesis,
(05:13):
I believe. So that's a star for higher education and
an endorsement for one if I've ever heard it. So
it makes sense. He does have a postgraduate degree, he
has a philosophy and a great history of success. The
(05:36):
USC part is interesting because of the sanctions and all that,
but people forgot about that five years after it happened.
First of all, even though it was egregious and he
had a lot to do with it. But at the
same time, all those rules in college football is completely
and totally flipped blown out and unrecognizable right that time.
(06:00):
So it's kind of hard to point a finger. It's
like pointing a finger at somebody who was drinking during prohibition,
you know. So at this point, I guess that part
of it doesn't matter, and us he has always been
a star fing institution, so it makes sense. I mean,
I think the I think the the chairperson or the
(06:21):
dean of the communications department is literally Willow Bay, so
it makes sense that Pete Carroll would be there. They
have a freaking dorm named after al Cowlings. There's a
bunch of kids that sleep on Al Cowings's bed. Yeah
every night. Who drove the Bronco right?
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Correct? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
You know who I am? God me Ac. So anyway,
I'm not surprised by it. And you know what, I'm
sure it would be a great class and I'm sure
there'll be a big long line to get into the class. Yeah, yeah,
what do you think this subject matter will be just
just do you think just his philosophy on leadership and
(07:01):
win forever, all that kind of stuff. Yeah, win forever.
Abraham Maslow competition Tuesday, I got it, turnover Wednesday, over
tell the Truth Monday, Jack Friday. Now I would pay
for that class. I would pay for the online version.
(07:22):
That's Pete's Taehoff.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
You don't know him.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
He's a great What is wrong with you? He's one
of the great Tha's Come on, man, the hand in
your paper to Jack? Good lord? The guy just it's
not even fresh yet, it's not even he just did
the show yesterday. Hey, well, why have you the one
that led with it? You're asked me about something else?
The Mariners getting their ass kicked by the Dodgers down
(07:48):
there two days in a row. No, thank you wearing
it in the bung holes. We did have Justin Turner
on on Monday.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Oh did you know?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
I saw you got a great standing ovation last night.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
He's a great.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Guy, so I'm happy for him and Courtney. They have
a baby now, a little boy. Can you imagine? Hang
on a second, Scott's Service. You know who's Scott Services?
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Right?
Speaker 2 (08:11):
The manager Wayward boat that Scott, did you take it
in the bunghole two days?
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Are you serious with that question?
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Well?
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yeah, because all I can do is laugh. Now, man,
you realize that we've blown a ten game lead and
are now five games out of first I do realize.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Oh god, baseball is heartbreaking.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
And the thing is your pitching staff, from what I understand,
is pretty good. I mean, those guys look great, but
you're you. I don't know, man, They're very good. Now
tell me about JT. As you call him down there,
Justin Turner me Hoff, No, dude, come on, man, what
you're just creating more work for me. A guy's name,
it's Pete's ta Why do you don't bleep it out?
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Guy's a serious educator.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
You panted your papers on fry.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Jack.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Justin Turner.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Was on your great great guy red Hair.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Yeah, Red Hair had a great run in LA.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
They love him down there. Yeah, just like Pete.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Oh god, well that's that's the thing is that you
know what like these guys all the even Rick Newheiel,
Rick new Heiseel sued Washington, and it just doesn't seem
to be that big a degal, Reggie Bush, Pete Carroll, Billy,
Joe Hobert, all these guys that made all these mistakes
and did all these things, and now it's like whatever. Yes,
(09:42):
people people don't care as much, But there's people like
me who are bitter and angry and they haven't said
a nice thing about anybody in years. There's people like
me that thrive on misery.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Muck rakers.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Don't you think dogs? Don't you think it was all
worth it? Though? With Pete No ruined a generation and
a half of USC football.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
You're out of your mind. That's not his fault. Why
couldn't you have hired the right guy to replace him?
You hire Clay Help, and you hire Steve Sarkisian, you
hire Lane Kiffin. Well, right, none of this works. Was
it his fault that he made mistake after mistake after
mistake and replacing him?
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
No, But he influenced the Kiffin in Sarkisian hire.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Well, that's your problem for letting him be influential. Okay, Well,
and now he's teaching a class. Don't worry, Pete Carroll
still likes you, You can still go on. I don't
think he I'm not sure if he likes me. I
think he just came on because Doug was with us
yesterday on the radio program by the way about did
he talk about his class and the curriculum and no.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
He just said he's teaching and that's it. That's all
he said. He went to Kuwait, spent some time with
the troops in Kuwait.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Hey, guys, check out my chin. He put hot out here.
Heyar He says he could coach tomorrow, but he doesn't
desire to do it right now? You think you think
that's true? Does does he have some like?
Speaker 4 (11:03):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
No, no, it's not true, like coach where Marra Costa
like you know anywhere?
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Okay, as a head coach?
Speaker 2 (11:13):
You think it bothers him that nobody called him to
become their head coach. Yes, especially in the NFL. Yes,
it would bother me too. I don't blame the guy
at all. He's human. He's not a machine. He's a man.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Okay. Can we stop talking about Pete Carroll? Like? I
don't care? Leave me alone?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Well, what else do you want to talk about? I
don't really have anything else for you. I'm kind of
fresh out of it. Teas well, I'm sorry. So college
football starts Saturday.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Yes, that's exciting.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Yeah, Huskies go a week from Saturday against Weber State.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Oh that's so weak. Why that is so freaking weak?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, guys, you guys used to have a real hard
led in your pencils scheduling way, and now it is
just whack crack serious. And I did the game. I
did the game where you guys broke your your fcs
hymen or whatever you'd call it.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
That's right. Yes, you guys played Portland State in the clink.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
USC UCLA, Notre Dame, and Washington were the only schools
never to have played a lower division football opponent, and
Washington played Portland State that day. It was I believe
(12:42):
Nigel was the head coach of the Vikings.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Am I wrong? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
If he was there, then he was the coach and
the drunk tight end had it put on a great show.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Austin Safarian Jenkins.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Come on, dude, why.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Do we not distinguish him in that way?
Speaker 6 (13:02):
No?
Speaker 4 (13:03):
What what would you rather me call him?
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Just call him? Call him his name? I said his name.
Why does he have to be the trunk tight end?
I think you know why?
Speaker 5 (13:12):
Me?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
God, you're miserable. So anyway, hey, people down your cesspool
of hate. That was a sad and horrible day. At
least u c LA when they broke their FCS hymen
they played an all black school of the HBC. At
least it was like, Okay, look what we're doing. Check
out the halftime show. Let's go turn this mother out.
(13:34):
That was cool. Oregon's playing Idaho in that weekend.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yeah, but that's Oregon. Okay.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Donald Duck used to be on the helmet. Washington had
a proud history that they didn't have to break by
playing punk ass Portland State. And now you're playing Weber.
Now you're playing Weber. That's right. And then that's that's
a that's a travesty after Weber, guess who's coming to town.
(13:59):
Eastern Michigan. Okay, well, by the I don't care a
cup and Wazoo at lumen Field week three. I don't
have a problem with Eastern Michigan. They got herm fired.
Eastern Michigan is in the MAC. They have a history lesson.
They have a workmanlike kind of vibe. You don't know
(14:20):
about Michigan, Yeah, they do. They have like what do
you call that, like a grade, you know, like a
you know, like a Pewter vibe. You know, like like
the floor of a of a of a warehouse, you know,
like they have that, and they knocked over like cinder
blocks foundation and they're right by uh An Arbor. But
(14:41):
it's like a poor town next to Bougie sn Arbor.
And it's called like Ipsilanti. I don't know what it's called,
but it's right there. And that's Eastern Michigan. And they
knocked herm's head off. Herm got fired basically on the
field after Eastern beat them. So there you go. That's fine.
I don't care about Eastern Weber though.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Come on.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
And then the Apple Cup in week three, Okay, great
Cougar fans could not give a damn. Did you read
the Ryan Leaf? If said Pat McAfee and in the
New York Post Pat McAfee and Herb Street or narcissists
and got him fired. No for defending Washington State last September. No,
(15:22):
but I'm seeing Clay Travis and Meta Chimes going at it.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Oh that's fun too.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
How about that?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Where do you stand on that?
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Well? I mean I would say this, people go after
each other really really hard, and then the Twitter people
go and they threaten you, and that's what happens.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
It happens on both sides.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Ugly people well whatever, I mean, not literally ugly. They
may be good looking, but ugly, you know, well, I mean,
but that's that's This is what everybody's trying to do, right,
I mean, they're trying to incite emotion enough to where
people will engage with whatever they're trying to put out there,
quote unquote engagement farming. If you're in the sports world
(16:05):
and that's your world and you make political endorsements like
Mina or Clay both do, people are going to attack you.
We have a terrible, terrible political discourse in this country,
and you're going to be attacked in terrible ways. And
you know what, people didn't attack everybody for their race
all the time back fifteen years ago. Now that's all
(16:28):
we do for some reason, like we are defined by race.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
We didn't.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
It used to be really bad to be racist, and
now like, well, like it was a really bad thing
and somebody said, hey, you're a racist. You know what
I mean, you were like, oh my god. You know,
you'd go home and look in the mirror, be like
that guy called me a racist. Jesus, you know, like
it was time for some serious self reflection. If somebody
called you a racist. Now it's like, we have racist
Tuesday on the show. You do not? We do? Yeah,
(16:57):
we do, don't.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Oh, we go full racist Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
What do you get black guy's going after white guys.
White guys don't have racist Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
We attacked.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
We attacked Victor Brick for not being excited enough for
the white guys on the Dodgers.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
But he doesn't have.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Enough inflection in his voice when he's talking about Max
Munsey or Gavin Lux. He can only get a aw
and Mookie. What was it? Kind of like a reverse
racist vixed reaction to that guy. He was dumbfound accusation.
He was very upset until we went to break yeah
and then cut him off. Wow. He wears his heart
(17:36):
and his sleeve, right, that guy. He's an emotional dude.
He's like you, Victor Brick.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Anyway.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
So my point is Meat at Crimes and Clay Travis
going after each other is exactly what they want. And
I wouldn't be surprised if they're not clinking a martini
glass at the end of the day. Oh yeah, Clay,
maybe mina Yeah, Well, Clay, you know the one thing
about Clay, and I know Clay. You know I used
(18:02):
to go on his show once a week and I
still have to go on that show even though he's
not on there. Uh, I got grandfathered in to another show. Yeah,
a lot of people make accusations. I mean, I don't
know him at all or listen much to what he does.
I know a lot of people don't like it. Well,
the one thing I say about Clay is whatever his
argument is, h he's very calm and delivering it. He
(18:23):
never gets upset. He really doesn't, and he's very matter
of fact. And I don't agree with everything he says,
but I've come to respect him just kind of the
way you gain here we go, the way he engages people. Yeah,
I'm gonna get it now, good, get it to blow
up and over and take it in the just.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Like the Mariners.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Are you serious with that question?
Speaker 2 (18:49):
But then again, you know, I die off there. He
likes Clay Travis.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
I don't want to.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
I thought I like Petros not. I'm not political with him.
I don't talk about politics with him. I met him
in twenty I met him in twenty thirteen, and he
was a big Obama guy. So, and I'm sure he'd
tell you that if you asked him. All Right, are
you working? You got a game this weekend or next Saturday?
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Saturday? This Saturday a week from Saturday.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
I think the only Fox game on Saturday is New
Mexico State versus or New Mexico versus Montana State. But
New Mexico's kind of interesting because it's Bronco Menden Hall. Oh, yeah,
that's right for Byu and Virginia.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
I met with him.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Yeah, Virginia and I met with him, and it was
really it's like meeting with a professor. It was very professorial.
Ever had a meeting like that? Yeah, very thoughtful. Man,
So that will be interesting. Was it like talking to
Todd Graham?
Speaker 4 (19:44):
No, you're the coach of the year.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
God.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
I hope I turned down with Clay Travis and tell
myself I'm the coach of the all right, buddy. Do
you know the name of Clay Travis's radio partner? Now
I don't know, some redneck whatever buck Sex. There you go.
That's you think that's a real name, yes, or a
stage name. It's your real name. Petros by the way,
(20:13):
pronounce Greek name Petrocky petrackytraki f you dochy?
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Who's coming on tomorrow?
Speaker 2 (20:21):
What's tomorrow? Thursday?
Speaker 4 (20:23):
Jack's coming on with a syllabus?
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Nope, Mike Holmgren's tomorrow. Brett Boonez tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
He does a weekly show with us every Thursday at five,

Live from the R and R Foundation Specialist Broadcast Studio.

the Huskies and the Cracking Sports Radio ninety three point

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Al right back here on a Wednesday afternoon, right here
on ninety three three kjr FM, we are reineering the
halfway point of the show, and so far mistake free.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Mitch Man getting it done. I mean, he is a
straight up Mariner rotation caliber starter.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
I don't know, man, he's starting to feel the pressure.
I can look out of him. I saw a beat,
a sweat rolling down his forehead. He's starting to kind
of feel it. He might be cracking by five p
I mean, Mike crack, here's the problem. M hm, he's
He's gonna go five and a third. Scott's gonna pull him. Yeah, well,
you know, I think he needs a little confidence builder.
So as long as he's pitched well, I have no
(22:00):
problem pulling him out. The question with iHeartMedia seatle Who
the hell do we bring in? There's nobody else here
because like one sales guy, Jeff Antosh is in there
watching porn.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
By the way, what hell you're gonna do? No moons?
Speaker 3 (22:11):
By the way, bow Nicks was announced today no surprise
as QB won for the Denver Broncos, second time in
three years that Denver has coming to town. I wonder
if we hear on that Sunday afternoon what we heard
when the Denver Broncos first came here with Russell Wilson starting, and.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
That was yeah, baby, we wanted this and we got it.
Bow Nicks.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
I saw a guy walking around town wearing a bow
and three shirt meeting bow and three against the Huskies.
Now he's got a chance to go bow and four. Look,
here's the deal. I actually like bo Nicks, to be
honest with you, despite the fact that he's a damn duck.
I thought what he said after the first loss to
Washington last year was great. I thought the fact that
he chose to play in the Bowl game against Liberty
(22:58):
with nothing to prove. Let's face it, after losing that
game in Vegas to Washington. I kind of like BONNICKX,
but I hope somebody breaks him in half in that
first game.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
I love the fact we got fresh meat going to
that first game. The fresh meat, I don't know, I like.
I don't know how many career backups have come into
Loomin Field and beat the Seahawks, but it's been more
than a small hand.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Is he a career backup? No, no, no, no, I'm talking
about if Simeon were through. Oh got you, got you,
got you?
Speaker 5 (23:26):
How many times have we seen the career backup guy
come to Seattle and beat the Seahawks. I would much
rather see a guy making his first ever subsolutely in
the NFL than a guy that at least knows how
to handle playing on the road in an NFL state.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
I mean, you think those guys are just you know,
they're more prepared for a game like that. They know
the offense better, they know defense is better, all that stuff.
I mean, Boix is as much as I like him,
and I honestly, Dick have really no feel or take
on how he does as a pro.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
I really don't. I don't have any idea how this
guy does in the pros, but I would not be
surprised if it took him some time to get going
right and get his feet wet in the NFL. So yeah,
I mean, is is Drake May starting for the Patriots?
Do we know that it has.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
Not been annoub one yet, not been announce yet. When
I said simmy, I meant I meant Jared Stidham, Jared Stidham.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Sorry, how dare you? How dare you not know the
Bronco depth chart, Dick, and I forgot Zach Wilson was
also there as well. That's right, that's right, But I'd
rather see I'd rather see bow knicks than Zach Wilson.
Is wonder well as Zach Wilson is.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
I just want to see a rookie starting his first
game in our stadium, which will be loud.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
In that first game, I wonder if Sean Payton uses
Zach Wilson kind of in that Taysom Hero a little bit,
you know, lets him run uh as kind of an
alternate to bow Nicks. But dude, I mean they got
a real shot to go three and oh, they got
a shot to go three and o. Because whether it's
Drake May or Jacoby Brissett in the second game of
the year against New England, you're you're not gonna face.
(24:55):
I was gonna say he won't face a real quarterback
until Week three, but you think too of stinks, so
it'll be I guess later off noback.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
I think I think Tua is going to put up
remarkable numbers in that offense, all right, especially in September
and October.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
But here's the deal. The facts are the facts.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
TUA does not win when it's cold, and TUA does
not beat good teams. So if you think the Seahawks
are a good, you know, above five hundred football team,
TUA has not shown any propensity to win those games.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Well, the weather's going to be nice.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
You know, it'll be quarterback friendly weather in Week three
not gonna be a problem. Rather, see TWA come here
and obviously play in November December than in September. And
you know, I mean, it's just what are the Seahawks?
I mean, look right now their offensive line is in disarray.
The Seahawks offensive line like, we have no idea what
they're starting five looks like I think we know about
the center. Connor Williams likely, I think is going to
(25:50):
be the guy. You know he was practicing the other day.
He's going to probably play against the Browns on Saturday.
The fact that he's going to start at center, you
know that close off the acl just being a lot
of ways as a miracle. But Charles Cross at left tackle?
Will it be Lake and Tomlinson? They had Christian Haynes
playing left guard the other day. Is it gonna be
(26:10):
McLendon Curtis. Every time I hear that name, I want
to buy a bucket of paint. By the way, will
it be George Fant What are they doing with big Olu?
I don't think they have any idea yet. Dick with
the offensive line is gonna look like they have no
healthy tight ends right now. Linebackers are I think, for
the most part, totally unproven. I mean, to me, the
strength is the back end of the defense.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
The front end looks pretty good, but we'll see what
happens when the bullets fly for real. So is this
would have shocked the heck addy if the Seahawks were
a seven to ten football team eight and nine, I
wouldn't be surprised by that at all. Also wouldn't be
shocked if they went nine and eight or ten and seven.
I think this is between a seven and a ten
win football team, this Seahawk football team.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
I think that right now. I think that's fair.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
I would lean if you had asked me which I
think has a better chance of having happening, ten or seven,
I would say ten. Yeah, it's not by much. No,
it's inside much. And really, you can say that about
so many teams in this league. I mean last year alone,
nine teams finished with either eight or nine losses. The
NFL wants everybody to.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Be eight and nine and nine and eight.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
They want everybody to be mediocre fighting for playoff spots
at the end. And we're getting more and more like
that every single year, because I see teams that were
on the top of the mountain, they're starting to slide
a little bit. I think Buffalo might slide a little
bit of I think San Francisco might slide a little bit.
And then you got teams at the bottom that are
starting to come up a little bit. The Chargers were
(27:39):
five and twelve last year. There is no way Jim
Harbaugh is going five and twelve this season. To agree
with the Falcons, there is no way they're only winning
seven games this year. I mean, they're so the Arizona
Cardinals are not going four and thirteen. They're a lot
better this year than last year. So you've got teams
at the bottom coming up, you got teams at the
top coming down. We might have eleven or twelve teams
(28:02):
finish at eight or nine, eight and nine or nine
and eight, and the Seahawks will probably be one of them.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Well, I think I think eight and nine, nine and
eight is right where I put him. I don't think
I'm really stepping out with some crazy prediction with that.
I'd be more surprised if they won ten versus seven.
Just because of the new system and the amount of
new players that they're working in.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Now, what is Mike McDonald all about.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Pete Carroll got better defensively as the year went on,
but in some ways their offense got worse. Like there's
so many unknowns and what drives me freaking nuts about
this business? And again I realize I'm giving you a
big swath of possibilities here, seven and ten, ten and seven,
that's a big disparity. Okay, thanks a lot, softy, What
do you say between one and fourteen?
Speaker 2 (28:44):
For crying out loud?
Speaker 3 (28:45):
But we don't have any idea what this guy's all
about as a head coach.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
None.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
We have no idea how Ryan Grubb will do as
a coordinator, no idea how Scott huff does in the NFL.
We have no idea how Byron Murphy will look. We
think we know, we got no clue, no data. There's
zero data on these guys. So it's like I told
Doug yesterday, one thing in this business that some people
have a hard time saying is I don't know. I mean,
this is the most maybe curious Seahawks season I think
(29:11):
we've had in a long long time, because I do
think a lot of pieces are there for this team
to be okay, and then I think there's a lot
of reasons why they might struggle out of the gate,
learning a brand new system, learning a brand new defense,
the amount of communication it takes. That's why I love
their schedule, right, I love the fact that they open
up with potentially two rookies in.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
The first two games of the year.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
All Right, we're gonna break text themdios four nine, four
to five one, and then Larry Stone does he's foresee
a Mariner managerial change between now and Friday night that's
coming up at five. Courtesy of the RAM on ninety
