(00:27):
the Cleveland Browns for a fifth rounder today. Does that
mean our boy Jake Browning, is it a competition for
QB one until Joe Burrow comes back.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
I think probably means that he's not in a competition.
It means he's been benched.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
That would be my assumption if they're trading for Joe Flacco.
Blue Jays Yankees coming up in about five minutes from now,
Shane Bieber, Carlos Rodon. Yankees need a victory in the
Bronx or they are done, and that would affect the
start time of the Mariners game tomorrow. If you want
the Mariners game to be early tomorrow at one o'clock.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Than root for the Yankees. You wanted to be at four,
then root for the Blue Jays.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Go Blue Jays, Panthers up on the Blackhawks three too.

Here he is the pope of the pack, the big
ten bearon himself, our friend Johnny Wilder, John, how are
you pal?
Speaker 6 (02:36):
I'm good? Thanks?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
How you guys?
Speaker 4 (02:38):
We're good?
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Man?
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I mean, why don't we just start with what we
saw Saturday in College Park. You know, Dick and I
were at you know, just the bar up the street,
Tom's watch bar, and dogs are down thirteen nothing. Then
they make it twenty nothing and I think at that
point this may not be our day, and then boom,
something switched, something changed. Demon Williams turned into Superman. The
defense figured. I mean that kind of feels like a
(03:02):
fork in the road type win for you, dub where
now maybe an eight to nine win season, if not
more than that could be possible. How big was that
for Jet Fish and company Saturday, coming from twenty back
to steal that win against the Terps.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
Yeah, I thought it was the most impressive win of
Fish's career in Washington, to be honest, even bigger than
the Michigan win or the USC wins last year.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Because of the circumstances.
Speaker 7 (03:26):
I mean, they were at a competitive disadvantage in that game,
with Maryland having to buy and the Husky's having to
fly across the country. It doesn't get much tougher than that.
And to me, it kind of looked like the Huskies
were sluggish, you know, the travel and.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Maryland was fresher from the extra week.
Speaker 7 (03:44):
And to me, the key was that Washington's defense, you know,
held on a couple of those first half possessions and
didn't give up touchdowns, held them the field goals, so
that the offense could kind of get its feat underneath
itself in the second half, and Maryland wasn't too far
ahead at that point, right, if one of those is
a touchdown and not a field goal, it's a different deal.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
And John, you gave us an update just yesterday on
the Big ten teams versus the spread when crossing multiple
time zones. It is now eleven twenty three to one
against the spread. And you know Jed Fish having to
deal with multiple teams coming off of buys. Obviously the travel,
but you have noted that he is not complaining about
the schedule where other coaches.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
On the West Coast are. And it sounds like you
appreciate that about Jed.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
Yeah, I do.
Speaker 7 (04:33):
And he even was given the opportunity after the game
Saturday about the travel, was that you know, did that
contribute to the first half start? And he was like
dismissed it immediately. And his some of his peers have
not done that. You know, they've kind of taken the
excuse when handed to him, or they have offered up
the excuse like.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
We could Riley in a proactive fashion.
Speaker 7 (04:55):
The other thing is it's not just the West Coast guys,
because James Franklin's now in it too.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
Did you know this?
Speaker 7 (05:00):
After they lost to UCLA he mentioned the travel as
one reason why they You know, it was a tough,
tough situation for his team. I just think if you
go there, it gives your players an excuse to not
give their best effort. I just if I'm a coach,
I am not talking about travel, and if I'm asked
about it, then I do what Fish did. Would you
(05:21):
say it wasn't a factor at all?
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Right now? One hundred percent?
Speaker 3 (05:24):
And John, you know again, you start looking at the
seven games that are left on the Husky schedule or
four and one right now, and I think we had
put the Maryland game in kind of the I don't know, bucket,
along with Michigan, Oregon and maybe Illinois. But there's also
four games Rutgers, Ucla, Purdue, Wisconsin. I know what Ucla did.
(05:46):
I know Rutgers is a better team than maybe people think.
But this right now, to me, this Husky football team,
after what we saw Saturday, it kind of feels like
anything less than eight wins in the regular season is
a bit of a disappointment.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
Oh for sure.
Speaker 7 (06:02):
To me, that win got them to the point where
eight and four is the minimum. That was it was
kind of like the tipping point with the Bowl math.
And now eight four for sure, And I think they
got a really good chance at nine and three. You
never know, right, I mean, who knows with UCLA something
like that.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
I think that they could beat Illinois.
Speaker 7 (06:23):
I would not be at all surprised if they get
to nine and three, But to me, eight and four, Like,
if I'm setting the over under right now, I'd probably
put it eight and a half.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
What is their most other than the Big House? What
is their most difficult game between now in Oregon? And
I can give you the games. If you don't have
it on the top of your.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
Head, I don't have it in fun of me. The
road games.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
The road games are Wisconsin and Ucla. Well, yes, yes,
but and then the other road game besides Michigan is Wisconsin.
Let's just for for the you know, bleeps and giggles,
let's just call Michigan a loss, which it might not be,
but let's just call it a loss. They still have
a reasonable opportunity to be a two loss team with
(07:08):
Oregon coming in, where a winning that game could get
you in, could it not?
Speaker 7 (07:13):
But I mean, I guess you could paint a scenario
in which they finished ten and two. I just don't
know at ten and two you know, they're probably in
a mix with three or four teams in the Big ten.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
It would it'd be real tight.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
Yeah yeah, But if they beat Oregon, I mean, if
they if they have a win over Oregon, that would
go a long way.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
There's there's no doubt about that, right.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Well, first of all, they got to find themselves ranked
in your little poll that you guys do called the
eight P pole.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
The CFP comes out.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
They've forgotten about it in a few weeks.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Well that's the thing, is I just I worry that
that a nine and two Washington team playing Oregon is
not going to get the hype that maybe it otherwise
would because of where they started the year. If they
were a top twenty team when the year began, a
top fifteen team when the year began, then you bet
your ass. And John, I know you hate hearing this,
but this is one of the reasons why I can't
(08:07):
stand the preseason polls that come out, because we're giving
teams a little bit of a head start that maybe
they don't deserve.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
Well, I mean, if the poll is done correctly, that
is offset by the in season polling, in which you
use results to determine your ballot. So my question to
you would be, in that scenario, if they're nine to
two going into Oregon, would they have beaten a ranked team?
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Rutgers know UCLA, No, Purdue know Wisconsin Illinois, Yes, Michigan
is still ranked.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Correct, if they would have lost that game, they would
have lost that.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Game, so they would have one win over a ranked team.
Speaker 7 (08:51):
Yeah, that would be the issue, and that would be
what the talking heads are on ESPN or alliver. They've
only beat one ranked team. So my view is Washington
would probably be twelve to fifteen in that scenario, you know,
which isn't bad at all because if you beat Oregon
then you are in the top ten and you're in
the at large discussion. But you know, the schedule is
(09:15):
a double edged sword because it gives them an easier
path to nine and three, maybe ten and two, but
it's easier because they're not playing ranked teams.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
So it kind of sounds like it's Husky fans, we
should be continuing to root for a team like Illinois
and winning games as possible.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
No, Yeah, no qustion for sure.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Well, johnsolutely SOFTI mentioned we were at at Tom's watchbar
watching the Husky game but it was like a tennis match.
We'd watch a play from the Husky game, then we'd
turn to our right and watch the fourth quarter of
UCLA Penn State they were going on simultaneously.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
It was crazy in that bar.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
So James Franklin can't win the big one, well, now
he can't win the small one either. So what does
this mean for the head coach at Penn State.
Speaker 7 (09:56):
I think it means he's he's out. I think they're
going to make a change at the end this season.
They just can't that. That was inexcusable on every level.
And if he had some good will built up because
he had done better against ranked teams in previous years,
(10:16):
it wouldn't be such a big deal. But it's like
a compounding effect. He can't win the big games and
then he loses a game like that when they're favored
by like twenty five points.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
Incredible.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, Well, I mean if they do whack him, which
I by the way, not convinced they will, but if
they do get rid of him. And this is a
guy that was he at Vanderbilt, is that right before
he went to Penn State?
Speaker 2 (10:38):
And do I have that correct you?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
I think he was so that was still an SEC
school that they plucked from. If they fired James Franklin,
who's at the top of the list.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
For Penn State.
Speaker 7 (10:51):
Oh boy, I haven't gone, you know, thought that far ahead. Woo.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
What about a guy Dilly Dilly?
Speaker 6 (11:03):
Yeah, I don't think he would. I don't think he'd
leave a issue for that, right not.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
I don't come on, No, you don't think he'd leave
Arizona State for Penn freaking State.
Speaker 6 (11:13):
Oh, I don't, Wow, he's too.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
I mean he grew up there, he went to school there,
he loves it there. He structured his contract for longevity
over dollars. I think, you know, if dilly Ham's gonna leave,
it would more likely be to a place where he's
already coached, Auburn or Florida State. But I don't think
he's gonna leave.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
I really don't mean.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
I don't know, man, I get the whole he's a
sun devil thing. But Jonathan Smith took off and went
to freaking East Lansing and he I.
Speaker 7 (11:47):
Mean, if you're yeah, that's true, if you're Penn State,
why wouldn't you probably think about Frank Signetti, right, he's
I think he's from Pittsburgh. So that would be an
obvious one right there.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
John was so well the flip side of the UCLA
Penn State game. What does this mean for Tim Skipper
and Jerry Neuheisel.
Speaker 7 (12:07):
I mean they got their moment in the spotlight for sure.
I don't know that Tim Skipper has a real chance
to get the full time job, but you know, this
might help him get.
Speaker 6 (12:18):
Another job somewhere if they if they play well down
the stretch.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
To me, the interesting thing here is before the season started,
if you had gamed out UCLA season, you would have said,
you know, for with Niko probably four and eighty five
and seven, they just underperformed their talent so badly under
Deshaun Foster that it like artificially deflated expectations. But in
(12:45):
reality they got enough players to win a few more games.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
It's kind of like what happened with Jimmy Lake and Washington.
They weren't as bad as they looked.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Can we can we? John warners with us?
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Can we just kind of agree as a show here
that asking about the schedule is not the same as
complaining about the schedule.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Can we all agree on that? Okay?
Speaker 3 (13:06):
With that, John, you agree to those terms. Sure, Okay,
So here's my question. Some Husky fans have asked about
the Michigan game next Saturday, nine am, right locally twelve
thirty or twelve o'clock, whatever it is out there in
ann Arbor. Somebody has to be the big noon game.
Somebody has to be in that slot. So you've got
(13:26):
Purdue Northwestern that's not going to happen. You've got Ohio State, Wisconsin,
you got Michigan State, Indiana, Penn State, Iowa, USC Notre Dame,
I guess is an NBC property, so you'd throw them out,
and then Maryland UCLA. Is there anything else besides you
dub Michigan that makes sense for that big noon spot
or did they get it right?
Speaker 6 (13:49):
I think they got it right.
Speaker 7 (13:51):
You know, Washington wouldn't be in that game if they
have lost to Maryland.
Speaker 6 (13:54):
That's the thing.
Speaker 7 (13:55):
I mean, it's a much more appealing game for Fox.
You know, they always want me should get our high
state if they can get them. But it's a much
more appealing game for Fox with Washington be in form one.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
So I think that sealed it.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Now.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
If Washington had lost, what was the who was playing?
Speaker 6 (14:12):
Iowa's a good game. No, not that one. There was
one more you mentioned.
Speaker 8 (14:19):
Ohio State.
Speaker 7 (14:20):
Wisconsin, Yeah, man, Ohio State prop Well, Ohio State would
probably just torn the hair out over that.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
But I also am not positive.
Speaker 7 (14:34):
I assume Fox had the first pick, but you never know.
I guess if NBC had has notre Dame that night,
Fox must have first pick. So if I would have
done that, but I wouldn't have picked him if Washington
had lost. So it's another double edged sword.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
John, talk to us about this potential two billion dollars
in private equity. How close is that to becoming a
reality to Big ten teams? And and does that the
move to a two superpower league when you were pumping
that type of money into one of the conferences.
Speaker 7 (15:06):
The interesting thing is it would it would lock in
the Big ten schools. They're grand of rights to twenty
forty six, So it basically negates the possibility of an
actual super league with like forty or fifty teams because
you couldn't break you couldn't then break up.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
The Big Ten.
Speaker 7 (15:27):
So it is a play on stability. I'm not sure
they're going to go ahead and do it. There's a
lot of issues legally, politically, financially, you're talking about state
institutions taking private equity.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
You know, they'd be.
Speaker 7 (15:43):
Forming this holding company that the that the investor would
have a one twentieth ownership stake in. There's a lot
to that would go into this thing. I think ultimately
it probably won't happen. And if I'm Michigan Ohio State,
do I want to commit.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
For twenty years? I'm not sure that I do.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
But if you're saying the grant of rights goes to
twenty forty six, I mean that would effectively, excuse me,
lock in U dub USC, UCLA, and Oregon as Big
ten schools for a minimum of the next twenty years.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Correct, Yeah, that would basically it would. Yeah. I mean,
if you're UCLA, you're begging for it right.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Big time.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
But if they went to it, let's say they'd lock
that in, that wouldn't prevent necessarily the Big ten property
from becoming one of the conferences in a superpower.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
It would still be the Big Ten.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
It would be the Big Ten, but there wouldn't be
a super league where Ohio State and Michigan and USC
and Oregon and Washington joined the top teams in the
SEC and Notre Dame and the top teams in the ACC,
they wouldn't.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
Be able to lead.
Speaker 7 (16:59):
I gots that's what would lock it in. Big ten
could still add teams. I don't think there'd be any
reason that it couldn't continue to expand, but the barrier
for entry would be higher because all the schools would
be in better shape financially, so it would be harder
for a new school to raise the value of the
(17:21):
conference enough to materially make a difference.
Speaker 8 (17:24):
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Well, John Wilner is with us. And by the way,
in case you haven't noticed, John's fighting.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
A little booboo, He's fighting a little cold. Oh yeah,
Bobby's got cold. He's got a bullet chicken soup. He's
got the humid of fire, the whole thing standing by.
And before we get to hurt, there you go.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
You're sucking it up, man, You're built for this baby.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Before we get to Willner's winner and you won last
week with Maryland plus the points, Husky's won, but Maryland covered.
I don't know what your pick is going to be
this week, but tell me, Indiana's got a shot at
the ducks this Saturday.
Speaker 7 (17:56):
Woof, Well, you have to rethink Oregan's win over penns
State a little bit.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
I saw the line of seven and a half.
Speaker 7 (18:05):
I just don't know Indiana's got enough to hold up
for sixty minutes.
Speaker 6 (18:08):
I think it could be close for three quarters, but
I just can't see.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
Indiana winning the game outright, even though.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
It's possible, Oregon is not as good as we thought
they were a week ago. Given you know, maybe Penn
State could be seven and five.
Speaker 7 (18:22):
And if that's the case, that Oregon win, doesn't you
know that doesn't mean nearly as much?
Speaker 6 (18:28):
All right?
Speaker 4 (18:28):
John, four and two on the year, Man, that is
pretty darn good. Four and two on the year. We
like it. Willner's winners. What do you got for us
this week?
Speaker 7 (18:36):
I will take the fight in Dillingham's. I believe they
are getting six and a half in Salt Lake City.
Speaker 6 (18:43):
I think that.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
Game should be That should be a terrific game. There's
a if you're a Washington fan, it's quick aside. This
is a great weekend because you get the Huskies on
Friday night and then there's a ton of good games
you just kick back and watch on Saturday. Asu Utah
is one one of them. BYU Arizona, you know, Oregon, Indiana,
USC Michigan. So I think it's a great weekend for
(19:08):
watching and I'll take ASU.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
All right, Well, you forgot one thing watching all those
games on the golf course on Saturday, by the way,
because the Huskies aren't playing.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
But the weather, the weather might suck this weekend. So
we'll see.
Speaker 6 (19:19):
I'll I'll be in Eugene.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
I'll be Seattle on Friday night and Eugene on Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, we've already booked you.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
We got your handlers getting you all booked for the
pregame show with me and.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Greg and Mario. So we will see you in person Friday.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
And I'm like you, I'm surprised at ASU is getting
six and a half man at Salt Lake.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
I love that pick love it.
Speaker 6 (19:42):
Can't wait to see you guys.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
John, you're the best. John Wilner with us on the
radio show. We're gonna break a lot more to get
to on a busy Tuesday right here on ninety three
to three kJ RFM.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
All right, here we go on.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
A Tuesday night, right here on night three three KJRFM.
Softy Dick Jackson with you until seven o'clock. But Jackson's
not here. Jessman McIntyre is in for Jackson. I wonder
for next guest regretted not having that conversation with his
favorite producer off the year, busting his balls, asking him
question after question after question about what's going on with
(20:19):
his soccer team, just nauseating.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Brian schmetzers with us on the radio show, Coach, how
are you? I'm great.
Speaker 8 (20:26):
I love Jeffs.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
I mean, Jackson is Jackson.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Yeah, but Jesse Jefs. Different story, Yeah, very different story.
He's got no response with that.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Well, why don't we move ahead then, and let's talk
about the one million over the Timbers. I mean, it's
been a while since you beat these guys in Seattle.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
You had a Mariner game going on across the street.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
I'm sitting there at T Mobile Park and I'm hearing
fireworks and people going nuts at Loomenfield. When your head
hit that pillow man on Saturday night. You making the
effort by your boys on Saturday.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
It was cathartic.
Speaker 8 (21:05):
I mean, I had two really good days off Soffee.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
I mean we hadn't beaten.
Speaker 8 (21:10):
Them since twenty seventeen. Wow, I mean, that's that's ancient history.
Back there, So, I mean we were we were happy.
We were you know, the boys put it in all
the metrics. I mean, we can go through all the data.
Those guys were sprinting. It was intense, the intensity playoff game.
(21:30):
I mean, this was this was good.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
It was a It was a cathartic victory.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
No question about it.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
You don't normally see a red card issued six minutes
in the stoppage time, but that's what happened to Albert Rusenak.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Was that warranted.
Speaker 8 (21:44):
Dick. We watched the replay. Now it was a red card.
It was warranted by the technical you know, letter of
the law. But Albert didn't mean to do that. I mean,
Albert's a nice guy. He was trying to do a
home slide. He just misstimed it. So, you know, it's
unfortunate because man, we really could use him against his
(22:07):
former team RFL on the weekend, right, but definitely was
a red card.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Well, I wonder if an official has ever changed their
mind because he found out the guy was a nice guy.
You know what, he's a nice guy. Let's pull that back.
We didn't realize he was a nice guy. So I
think the more you can inform the officials about how
nice these players are, the less chance they'll get dinged
for one. But go back and talk about that save
(22:33):
by Stephen Fry in the thirty fourth minute from DaCosta.
That's as good as it gets for the old man,
isn't it.
Speaker 8 (22:41):
That's as good as it gets for any goalkeeper, whether
he's eighteen years old or thirty eight years old or
whatever stuff is.
Speaker 6 (22:49):
I mean, that was an unbelievable save.
Speaker 8 (22:52):
Not many, but not many goalkeepers in our league make
that save. He was sixteen fifteen, fourteen yards out, the
ball was bouncing nice off the turf and he struck
it hard.
Speaker 6 (23:05):
But Steph just.
Speaker 8 (23:06):
Read the ball had enough strength to pummet up over
the bar.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
That was a critical save in the match.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
So you're losing three players to the international duty and
you got rolled on going to Team USA for the
last two games.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Talk about how you replace all these guys.
Speaker 8 (23:25):
Well, we're happy for you know, Christian getting another shot
with the national team. You know, knew who obed read.
I mean, we got we got guys leaving left and right.
Speaker 6 (23:35):
But yeah, Dick, it's putting us in a bit of
a pickle.
Speaker 8 (23:39):
We're not sure yet how we're gonna do it. We
had a good training session today. We looked at a
couple of things. I'm gonna do some more tactics tomorrow
and try and come up with a final, final, you know,
tactical plan for the game. But it's gonna be tough.
What I will tell you, though, is that there's some
(23:59):
guys that are anxious to play. Joe Paulo hasn't played
a lot since his injury. He's ready to play. Danny
lab is ready to play. Right, We're gonna have to
make some short term call ups and that's gonna be
great too. Well when you say they'll be fired up
to play.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Brian, sorry when you say tactical, all right, I'm no
genius over here.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
But when you say tactical and almost made thank you.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
I was gonna say it, but you know what up yours?
Speaker 3 (24:25):
I make the jokes around here, for God's sakes, I'm
the funny man. It almost makes it sound like you
can't play the same scheme, the same style when you've
got that many guys out and you almost have no
choice but to adjust your approach.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Is that fair to say?
Speaker 8 (24:41):
It's fair to say, Look the idea behind it is
to put a couple of positions. The decision, softy, the
decision is to put a couple of players, maybe not
in their best positions and use the same tactics, or
put the guys in a slight li a different system,
(25:02):
but it might be better suited for who they are,
what they're about, you know, their strengths and weaknesses. Uh,
and that's the decision we.
Speaker 6 (25:09):
Got to make.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
It looks like you guys are pretty solidified in your
position in the West. Correct me if I'm wrong there,
But what do you do lineup wise? Do you change
things up a little bit in the last two games
if there's really not a lot to play for.
Speaker 8 (25:24):
Oh, we got to get some rhythm.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
It's hard.
Speaker 8 (25:27):
We haven't had a you know, back to back, same
lineup thrown out there almost all year. Uh. You know,
we're gonna try and win the game. It's our you know,
it's our home finale, Dick. Our record this year, this
is regular season. We've only lost once at home during
the regular season, and I'm pretty proud of that fact.
Those guys have have done a great job playing at Lumen.
(25:50):
So we're gonna go for the win.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Well, that's great because Mike McDonald can't win squat at
lumen Field, So at least can you.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Talk to them, can you share your secrets with them? Please?
Like a few wins from the Hawks.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
At least somebody's winning there for I mean, somebody's paying
rent on that place, and I'm glad to see that
you guys are actually taking advantage of it. But you
mentioned Rial Salt Lake, right, Albert Russneck's old team, So
give us a thought on these guys.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Six thirty kickoff this weekend.
Speaker 8 (26:17):
They'll be They'll be missing a few starters themselves. It's
a decent team. They sold actually their best attacker earlier
in the year, so you know, it's a it's a
it's a bit of a mixed bag. He's gonna have
to do some adjusting. It's a it's a decent team,
but you know it's gonna be just a intense game
because they have to win. I mean, if they want
(26:40):
any chance at a playoff spot, they have to win.
Speaker 6 (26:42):
So they're going to be desperate.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
How are you on injuries? Give us an update on Yamar.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
Good.
Speaker 8 (26:49):
Well, we're good on injuries because everybody that's around here
is pretty healthy. Ryan Kent saw the field today for
the first time Steugh Hawkins might see the field on
the weekend. I'm a still three weeks out.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Got it, all right?
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Well go home watch some baseball, be like us and
watch some baseball.
Speaker 6 (27:10):
Well I am.
Speaker 8 (27:10):
I'm watching it on my phone here and the Mariners
just hit a home run.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
So that's fricking awesome.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Yeah, JP Crawford, bag baby.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
All right, Brian, you're the man, great stuff, and we're
talking a week Go get in this weekend.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
All right, take care guys.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Thanks, all right, man, Brian Schmetzer with us on the
radio show. When we come back, we're gonna hear from
the other coordinator for you, Dub Jimmy Doherty offensive coordinator,
Olneus Davis defensive tackle. All that and more on a

Speaker 2 (27:49):
