Rob joins us right now from LovelyEngland. Hi, Rob, Hi po
Kai Jim. How's it going?Oh it's great. Thanks for doing it.
Despite I know you're doing this forJim, but despite you, you're
not like em. Thank you fordoing it. It makes us feel very
appreciative. Okay, thank you.Well, Listen, every time you use

(03:05):
I'm gonna call it the W wordbecause you guys can't you can use that
word over there, or we can'tuse the rhymes with anchor over here.
If I said that on the radio. That'd be it. I'll be getting
the shepherd's crook. I'd be I'dbe losing my job. But every time
I hear you guys mention it,it is hilarious. And I know that
all of the other British Seahawks fanswho listen, every time they hear that
that word on American radio, it'shilarious. Okay, So that's that's a

(03:28):
swear word, head, no idea. I literally that's a very serious swear
word. Thank you, and sowell I didn't know. So can we
not say it? Rob? Itell them all the time, like,
I'm not sure, Okay, it'sokay, Oh you've never said that.
I'm out to pull the tape.I'm out. You're encouraging the dirty impersonators
to use that with Jamal Adams.Okay, this is news to us.

(03:50):
All right, let's let's we're gonnanot we're not doing football right now,
Okay, Rob, let's get intothis. Wait a minute, so we
can't say that or you can't saythat word over there in London. In
the hierarchy of words you're not allowedto used. It's probably the C word
is first, half word is second. The w word is third. Okay,

(04:12):
can we clear it through somebody overhere in the US. Let's just
not even bring it up. Let'sjust act like it doesn't happen. It
sounds so it's innocent. It doesn'teven sound bad. He you heard it
from Rob himself, Chris, Jim, what do you think? Do we
use it still or not? Fournine four five one? Would you like
us to continue to use it?I can tell that you want to continue
using get me. I want tocall it this. I want to call

(04:34):
it the wankers old record, notif it makes Rob feel uncomfortable, because
we're trying to make our guests feelcomfortable here, aren't we, And we
appreciate Rob doing this on a weeklybasis. I fired up about having Rob
on we do all right? Thatis unbelievable. I never knew that Chris
is trying to act like he's beentelling us all along. I told you
once You're like, oh, Kaid, it's okay, I'm all right.

(04:56):
This is the first time I've everheard of it. All right, Uh,
let's work. Do you want tostart. Let's start first, probably
with the comments yesterday from John Schneider. Now people are trying to say well,
did he walk it back a littlebit? I don't think he walked
anything back off the podium, becausethere's nothing that I've read. I haven't
heard anything because there's no audio ofit, but nothing I've read where he

(05:17):
tried to clarify what he meant whenhe said he's the starter until he's not
in regards to Geno Smith, howhave you read that? How have you
observed that here for the last twentyfour hours. Well, the comment that
seemed to be doing the rounds, which suggested that he'd walked it back,
was noncommittal as well. He wasjust saying that it was overblown the timing

(05:39):
of the restructure, that it didn'treally make any difference, that he just
wanted to create some cap room.He did about full national TV interviews yesterday,
and in every single on he wasasked about Geno Smith, and in
every single one of those interviews,he would either change the subject really quickly
or he would bring up Drew Locke, which is what he did at his
solo press conference. It's what he'sbeen doing whenever he's spoken to the Seattle

(06:01):
media. When he was on thepodium yesterday, he said he's the starter
until he's not, and people havesaid, well, every GM would say
that. I'm pretty sure that ifthe Cincinnati Bengals GM was on the podium
and somebody said something about Joe Burrow, he wouldn't say he's the starter until
he's not. I mean even DougPeterson and Jacksonville was asked, do you
have your quarterback? Is Trevor Lawrencethe guy? And he said yes,

(06:25):
there are just areas that he needsto improve next season. The Seahawks never
talk about next season with Gino Smith. How can you not be curious about
the way that they're choosing to answerquestions about Gino Smith. It's deflection,
it's Drew Locke talk, it's changingthe subject. They are so financially committed
to Gino Smith, that's why it'sintriguing. There's no reason to speak this

(06:49):
way. So I think it's aconversation that we need to have. What's
going on? What do you wantto see him? Do? Rob?
I mean, Puck and I areboth saying go with Drew Locke, trade
Gino and then draft a quarterback inthe first round or third round or move
up. Uh, there's all kindsof different options. So which one are
you in favor of see what Ithink they're gonna do, Jim. I

(07:10):
think they are gonna see if there'sa market out there at the combine,
see if there's any teams that arewilling to give them a good draft Hall.
I suspect there's not going to bethat there. Even though he's only
on twelve points seven million dollars,it would have to be a haul to
commit twenty seven million dollars of deadmoney to move Geno Smith. So I
think it's going to have to bea good trade, and I just don't
think it's going to happen. BecauseGino Smith was a free agent a year

(07:31):
ago, nobody was linked with him. It was basically in with the Seahawks
and a bit with Tampa Bay.But they're also being taught talked about Baker
Mayfield. So if no one wasgoing to sign Geno Smith last year and
he ends up signing a team friendlydeal with the seaaalks, why is anybody
going to trade let's say a thirdround pick for Gino Smith today. I
just don't think it's going to happen. So what do I want to happen?
I tell what I think is gonnahappen. I think they're going to

(07:53):
go into the draft with Gino Smithhaving not got this kind of offer.
I think they're going to be comfortablewith him on the kind of salary that
he has, with's middle of theroad for NFL quarterbacks. I think they'll
they'll feel comfortable being hedged for thedraft, and they're going to go into
this draft class and if a quarterbackthat they like is there, they can
take him. If a quarterback thatthey like isn't available to them when they

(08:15):
pick, then it's not a bigdeal. They've still got Gino Smith.
That's what I think is going tohappen. But I'm going to be fascinated
to see how they view this draftclass and if they do draft somebody,
what that means for next season andwhether or not that rookie can do what
Russell Wilson did to Matt Flynn andyou serp the starter, the presume starter,
and go and win that job.How do you think? In Rob
Stton is with a Seahawks draft blog. Robert, We're joining us a weekly

(09:03):
What do you think their motive iswith mentioning Drew Lock all the time?
I think that they really want tohave him back. For whatever reason.
John Schneider just seems to really rateDrew Lock. And some people have said
it may even be a blind spotthat John Schneider has, but he likes
that type of quarterback. The firstthing he pretty much did when he was
the GM in twenty ten was traderquite a lot for Charlie Whitehurst, who

(09:26):
was this big, strong armed mobilequarterback. And when you actually look at
Drew Lock, he's kind of likeCharlie Whitehurst. So I think he just
really rates him. I think thatJohn Schneider's a little bit perturbed, actually,
whether that's with circumstance or the actualdecision that when they traded Russell Wilson
away and got Drew Lock. Ithink he really wanted to see whether Drew
Lock could be the answer and instead. What has happened for two years is
Gino Smith has got the opportunity thatI think he was hoping that Drew Lock

(09:50):
would get to see if he couldbe the real deal, having rated him
in the draft. So I thinkthey want to bring him back. I
think they want to have extra depthand competition there in case they don't draft
a quarterback. And I think thatthere's a very real chance that they could
go into camp this year now thatPete Carroll has moved on and they've got
a new coaching s now and maybeRyan Grubb says we're gonna go with Drew
Lock. I think that's a veryserious possibility. Whether it's the right thing

(10:11):
to do or not, I don'tknow. John Schneider seems to really really
like Drew Lock and bringing him backand having him and Gino Smith on the
roster and potentially drafting the rookie seemslike it could be an option for the
Seahawks this year and look to bringit back to the draft as well.
Guys, how long has John Schneiderprepared to wait before he drafts a quarterback?

(10:33):
He said like about four or fivetimes. Yesterday. We've drafted two
quarterbacks in fourteen years. You know, it's preying on his mind. He
wants to draft a quarterback. Ieven wonder whether they'll trade up this year
if he sees somebody that he reallylikes and just go all in and make
a trade, because he just soundslike he's itching to draft somebody. And
if he does that, maybe thereason they're talking Drew lockup is because they'll

(10:54):
go and trade up. They'll goand get their quarterback. They'll do what
Kansas City did with Patrick Mahomes. They still need a veteran on the roster.
They want to bring Drew Locke todo that, and they'll move Geno
Smith on. I don't know,it just seems like everything is open at
the moment, everything is on thetable. Yeah, Rob, I just
don't sense that Locke's going to wantto come back of Gino's here though.
I mean, it was one thingto do it last year. I didn't
even think he'd come back last year, but then there he was, and

(11:15):
then he had those two games thathe played, and he was really good
against the Monday night game against theEagles, let him on that ninety one
yard game winning drive. So Ithink he just he fancies himself. I'm
going to use an English term thereas a starter in the league. And
if he's not going to get theopportunity here that he's going to want to
go somewhere else. Is fancy anokay word to use, rob or is
that not allowed? I was justabout a credit gym for that fantastic use

(11:39):
of English language. We will saythat all the time fancies himself. That's
a fantastic English to say that hebangs himself. So yeah, look,
I think with Drew Lock, thedrive against the Eagles definitely helps because his
agent can now go to teams andsay, look, this guy just needs
a chance. Look what he didwhen he was given the opportunity to stop

(12:00):
the Seaux. He went and wonthat game. It's a great game winning
drive. He just needs an opportunity. And there may be teams out there,
let's say the teams at the topof round one, who wants somebody
who could potentially start in year onewhile the rookie is learning and developing,
and he may feel that's a betteropportunity for him to go there and maybe
get some starts early in the season. Or maybe it's someone like the Raiders.

(12:22):
Maybe it's someone like the Vikings. If Kirk Coussins moves on, maybe
there will be teams that are opento the idea of Drew Lock. But
what I would say is, again, Drew Lock was a free agent last
year and nobody bit nobody gave himthe opportunity to come in and be the
starter he had to come back toSeattle. So he may well be open
to moving on. It just dependswhat interest is out there where the other

(12:43):
teams are winning to sort of matchwhat the Seuxs are winning to offer in
terms of salary, and if thatdoesn't happen, the chances are he will
come back. And the sex aremaking it very clear to Drew Lock with
the language that they're using, thatthey like him, that they rate him.
I think they're trying to make himfeel wanted, and that's kind of
part of the reason why that's talkinghim up in every single interview. Even
when they wuss about Genosmith half thetime, the first thing they says,

(13:05):
yeah, we like Drew Lock aswell. Yeah, they go right into
Drew Locke. That's the voice ofRob stateon Seahawks Draft Blog. He's got
a great story up there. Imean, you want to talk about detail.
I don't think anybody I haven't seenanything of the amount of detail that
Rob has up right now at SeahawksDraft blog dot Com. The Ultimate Seahawks
Combine Preview twenty twenty four. It'sjust insane. I mean, it's like

(13:28):
it makes Peter King jealous of howmany words are in this thing. It's
incredible. A use in knowledge andinfo for you during the combine this week.
You can also check check out Rob'sthoughts via video. He's up on
YouTube, just search Rob State andsocial media at Rob stateon weekly appearance with
us every Wednesday at noon again broughtto you by Superior Linen Service, family

(13:50):
owned and operated since nineteen twenty six. What was a little bit lost yesterday?
Rob? Maybe in the headlines ofGenosmith is what John Schneider's said when
asked about Jamal Adams, what's hisfuture? What's his raw? And Schneider
responded, is he in McDonald's plans? Question Mark, Yeah, I mean
we'll find out, We'll keep workingthrough things. We're trying to figure all

(14:13):
of that out. That also doesn'tsound like an incredible endorsement of his safety.
Well, let's put it this way. How similar is that answer to
the answer about Geno Smith. Andyet everybody is pretty sure that Jamal Adams
is gonna leave, and everyone's onlineseems to have suggested that Geno Smith's not

(14:35):
going anywhere, and yet it's prettymuch the same thing. It's kind of
like, yeah, well, he'skind of here until he's not. Listen.
I think John Schneider could probably dowith learning a more political way to
answer some of these questions about hisplayers who may or may not be with
the team next year. Jamal Adamshas gonna go, it's just time.
I think he's tweeting in a waythat suggests that it's just a foregone conclusion

(14:56):
that he's going to depart. Ithink the injuries obviously have taking the toll,
but the way that last season ended, with the whole tweeting to the
reporter's wife just left a real saladtaste in your mouth. I remember thinking
after that, I don't want tosee him play for the Seahawks again.
I think a lot of fans arethere already, and you have to make
some savings somewhere, like they've gota bit of money after reworking Gino's contracts,

(15:20):
and you imagine that maybe Brian Manet, we'll move on and that will
save five point three million dollars. They've got to get some money from somewhere
else. If they want to signLeonard Williams, someone's got to go.
Jamal Adams is likely to go.I think the only question is whether they
just cut him out right and takethe maximum hit now, or whether they
make it a post you First Cupand push it into next year. But

(15:41):
one way or another, Jamal Adamsis not going to be on this team
next season. I'm looking at yourdraft log here, Robin, the quarterback
situation, Like like everyone else, you got Williams in the first first quarterback
pick, Jade and Daniels, andafter that you got Michael Panics number three.
And you know, there's a lotof people out there that are thinking
a G. McCarthy ahead of Penis. You got Spencer Ratler even ahead of

(16:03):
Drake May and Bonnicks. So it's, uh, what do you like so
much about Penis? And I assumesince you've got him a second round grade
here, that he'd be available thereat sixteen if the Seahawks want him.
Yeah, I think he will be. I think he's a fantastic player.
Like there are flaws with every singleplayer, and I think part of the
problem with Michael Penix with some ofthese other players as well, is people
love to focus on the negatives. They focus on things like, well,

(16:25):
you know, he's maybe on ashort and intermediate range, his passing is
not great. Up, he's abit older, or he's left handed,
or he's got a bit of aninjury history. Let's just focus on what
he does. Brilliantly drives the balldown field, stands tall in the pocket,
can throw it sixty yards in betweendefenders, layered throws that you just
you don't see many quarterbacks able todo. I was listening to somebody talking
about he's got an okay arm theother day and thinking, we'll just watch

(16:47):
the games. He's got a fantasticarm. There is an immense amount of
talent with Michael Pennix. The reasonyou have him in the second round is
just because there are some issues therethat maybe he's going to have to work
on on the next level. Ishe the most mobile player? You know?
The modern NFL requires players to getout of the pocket and scramble the
next ten plays. Is that somethingyou can do I think he's a great
athlete. He just hasn't shown atWashington, and that's something he needs to

(17:10):
do, whether that is the offenseor whether that's just because it's not part
of his game. But as apure pocket passer, nobody can drive the
ball down field like Michael Pennix inthis draft class. I think Drake may
is an interesting player because he's tall, he's big, he's athletic. He's
exactly the type of player that JohnSchneider typically likes. But there are some
real inconsistencies to his game, sowe'll see how teams view that. I

(17:32):
think he's probably going to be thethird quarterback off the ball, but whether
he ends up being the third bestquarterback from this class remains to be seen.
And JJ McCarthy's kind of like thetrendy player. Everybody's sort of jumping
on that bandwagon at the moment, and he does a lot well like third
downs. He's better than any ofthe other quarterbacks in this class when he
needs to scramble and exten plays. His completion percentage on scrambling is better than

(17:52):
any of the other quarterbacks in thisclass. But he doesn't have a strong
arm and when Michigan. We're playingthose big games against Penn State. Yeah,
he threw the ball like nine timesin the game. They just ran
the ball. They never once leanedon JJ McCarthy. And just personally,
if I'm going to spend a toptwelve pick on a quarterback, I want
to think that his college team actuallyleaned on him at some point and they

(18:17):
never did. Whereas can Washington achievewhat they can achieve without Michael Pennix,
I don't think that was very likely. That is the voice of Rob State
and he's gonna be joining us everyWednesday at noon Seahawks Draft Blog, which
you go there right now. Heis pumping out content left and right.

But we look forward to this partnership. Love that you said yes and

(19:26):
agreed to do it. Appreciated andI know both of us, all of
us here here on the show, look forward to our chat with you every
Wednesday at noon. Love it guys, Thanks for beet Ton there he is,
Rob State that was kind of quicklike duquet. You know what did
you guys notice that? Hey?Is he? That was? I want
to talk to him? That wasthat almost rival duquette? Like? No,

(19:47):
that that that was a real quickseated duket. I think that was
quicker. Yeah, I think itwas a six yard dash that Styton would
win four nine four five one.Who is quicker to get off with us?
Do Cat or Staton? I don'tknow? Okay, but think think
about for a second, how doesRob have time to do what everything he's

(20:10):
doing? I mean he's over therecovering soccer and he's still is covering the
Seahawks like he lives in renting orsomething. I don't know how he does
it. I don't know anybody doesit. You know. It makes me
feel pathetic. I'm gonna lie.I'm not doing anything, not doing anything
at all, neither of you.Neither is Chris. We're not doing anything
around here. These guys are workingtheir asses off. And now we can't

(20:30):
say that word. Well, Idon't know. He may not be a
kid, but I think we cansay it. It's frowned upon. Let's
just leave it and said that thoughyou know what, I don't. What
do you want? So he saysthird behind the C word in the F
force. So that's if you're theshowhorse in that one. That's pretty bad.
And here's the thing. If weget to say it and there's no

(20:52):
punishment, I mean, say itaway. I do like a little kid.
Now I am like a little kid. Are you kidding me? You
can't say that, Well, thenI'm gonna say it. I can't.
This is great. That was someof the best news I've ever I've heard
in a long long time. AllRight, all right, so what's up
with that? Wednesday four nine fouror five on Ask Away Next and Tomorrow's

(21:18):
stars compete on the same hardwood asPollo, Ben Carrol, Avery Bradley,
And I remember Avery Bradley. Iremember watching Avery Bradley and he was at
Bellaman Prep and he wasn't even themost high profile kid on that team.
Do you remember who it was?Abdul Gaddy. Abdul Gaddie was the five

(21:41):
was the five star recruit and hewas the headline going to you, dub
And Bradley was like, wasn't hesupposed to be the second best point guard
in the country? Who? Yeah, he was incredible And and I'm thinking
I remember sitting I think it wasmaybe Tim Booth or maybe Todd Millis,
and I remember sitting there watching afew minutes of it. I'm like,

(22:02):
I think it was Madam and divishactually, and I said, who's the
other guy? That being Bradley. He's no, he's not being really recruited
all that much. He's kind ofout on the radar. Yet I think
Wazu was sniffing around him, like, uh, they should not sniff they
should rab him. Now you couldtell. I mean, I don't know
what happened. Maybe he didn't playon the circuit or you know, the
travel circuit or what Jim, youcan watch the you can watch basketball for

(22:26):
five minutes ago. This kid isway better now. That's a takeaway for
anything from Abdul Gaddy had a greathigh school career. He a solid pro
career. I mean, but AveryBradley went on to be a star and
then a long NBA career, Agood chunk, a good a good NBA.
Gaddy was a disappointment at Washington, wasn't he? I mean, I
I would didn't. Well, hegot a scholarship and played at Washington.

(22:48):
I would say he didn't live upto the expectations, which is probably did
he commit to Arizona thing go toWashington. I can't remember that story,
but anyways, I just remember watchinghim down there, going wow, incredible.
I think that was the same game, but I may be wrong.
Of the same year that I sawIsaiah Thomas score fifty one you know,

(23:11):
it's schooled basketball game and thought howmany times did he do that? That?
I don't know, but think aboutthat the quarter, I mean the
length of game in high school basketball, and you're dropping fifty one. Yeah,
eight minute quarters. I mean,he scored thirty one in the first
half. And it was him.It was the Isaiah Thomas show. It
was it like he should be onthis thing. That's the greatest performance I

(23:32):
have ever seen in my own eyeswatching basketball. Was Isaiah Thomas dropping fifty
one? I think against I thinkit was Franklin. Yeah, it was
Franklin. The state Chancey Siva wenton a Startville Louisville was a great player,
aid and Siva was. You wantto talk about a kid that you
want to show video to your kidson how to play basketball, Like how

(23:56):
hard you want to play? You'dshow him video of Peyton Seeva. That
kid did not take a playoff divingfor loose ball. He's the best player
on the team, diving for looseballs, tying kids up, guy picks
up his dribble, yelling ball ball, ball, ball right in his face.
I mean, just a menace. He was awesome. Yeah, watching

(24:17):
Isaiah Thomas score fifty one was Istill I were just sitting there on court
side, like he's five to one. I mean, I know he wasn't
five to one, but he's justno one can guard him. You can
watch that game on YouTube. Itis available, is it. I watched
him about six months ago. Iwatched it because my cousin went to Franklin
and I was like going back andwatching all those games, and I was

(24:38):
like, let me watch this game. And yeah, to your point,
put pulling up from thirty feet, nailing it, gett into the basket,
and no disrespect to his team. But there was nobody else on the team.
He had fifty one and they scoredsixty point. There was no one
on his team. He just singlehandle leak care all right? So a
four nine, four to five toone on the text like, oh here
we have one more pair to giveaway. This one. If some some

(25:00):
one knows this off the top oftheir head, good luck to them.
But trivia, first person with acorrect answer, who is the States all
time leading score in boys basketball?Who is the States all time leading score?
And did I say college basketball?High school basketball? Who is the
States? Who is the States alltime leading score in high school boys basketball?

(25:25):
First answer? Two, eight, six, ninety ninety five nine or
nine five er, We'll get theother pack of tickets. Okay, do
you know who it is? No? I had to look it up.
Yeah, I don't have there No, Oh, hold on, I gotta
you talk. I gotta tell Christhe answer. Oh, okay, yeah,
I was I was trying to think. God, was it somebody from
this volcan area? Was it ringyour beach? A Garfield player? Jamal

(25:48):
Crawford. Good guests, good guessJamal Crawford, Yeah, that'd be a
good guess. Doug Christie. Maybe, Doug Christie. You think if you
asked Bethea, like how pick yourfavorite player Beach? Could he do it?
I don't know if he could.Probably not. That's a hard Jamal
Crawford, Doug Christi, Nate Robinson, Roderick and Roderick, the Twins.

(26:10):
That's a lot. I don't know. Someone's gonna be hurting. Yeah,
someone's gonna be unhappy, all right, four nine four or five one?
And we can't have the music upounceright, we can't have the music up.
Yeah, I forgot about the rules. That's okay, you know,
uh, you can ask anything youwant. Oh, a bunch of guesses
coming in. Quincy Wilder, greatguest, No, Quincy Wilder. Yeah,
A Federal or Decatur decatured Decatur Gators, right, Jamal Crawford a bunch

(26:33):
of guestses. No, no.I still remember walking into the Tacomadome though
during the State Championships and not reallyknowing anything about him and looking out there,
going who is that kid? Andthere's more about his passing than his
shooting? Yeah? What's up withthe reliever's arm? He had all off
season? We just started spring training. Matt Brash more like Matt Trash.

(26:56):
That's unfair. This has to well, there is a concern with this.
What I would ask Matt Brash wouldlove to hear when did it start bothering
him? Because I don't believe itjust happened on Tuesday that he just started
experiencing some pain. I've never hearda picture referred to himself as being banged
up. That's so. Was thissomething that was lingering all off season?

(27:22):
And was it something he could havetaken care of in November or December?
Or or is it something that hedid heat? You know? You know
these players, were they truthful?Did he tell the did he tell the
team that he wasn't feel his armwasn't feeling good? Yeah? I mean
there's a lot of fun I wouldn'tfault him for that if you thought maybe
he could play through it. Whois the all time boys leading scorer in

(27:48):
Washington State high school basketball history?Okay? Two eight six ninety five zero
nine five zero. It's a toughone. What's up with Schneider and McDonald
being so lukewarm on Geno? Ifthey really like and they'd sound like Dan
Campbellton when they talked about golf recentlyexactly because they're luke warm on them,

(28:08):
because they are there's boring trade options. They're trying to give a reasonable response,
and they, I mean, theyhave in their mind when he said
that, they've got a vision ofwhat they want to do that didn't necessarily
include Geno, and that vision isMichael Pennock slinging the rock around. We
have a winner of the one ofthe packet tickets. Oh yeah, and
you will not guess how he knewthis answer. He knows, he knows

(28:33):
the player, he knows the brotherof the said player. Oh my god,
his name is Daymar Sillimon. Sohe is our winner. Okay,
Daymar Silliman, Yes, Okay, you are gonna love who the state's leading
score is. I didn't know's Iremember this as I read it because I'm
reading the story of a spokesman reviewthe state's leading score and boys basketball is
a kid by the name of RyanMoffatt. Ryan Moffatt started Odessa High School.

(28:56):
Where is Odessa? It's over ineastern Washington. He is the He
is the all time leading scorer inWashington State boys at basketball history. How
about that he set the record whenhe had forty three points in a win
over Valley Christian. In Odessa's Districtseven one B first round win over Republic,

(29:21):
Moffatt scored thirty two points and satout the second half, in which
the Tigers won one hundred and fourto twenty three. Geez. Where Moffatt
played colleges? Yeah, he wenton to play Give me a snack.
I just saw it. Where heplays at? Hold on? Give it
Lawrence University. Lawrence University is.I don't know where Lawrence University is.

(29:47):
Jim, you're gonna have to lookthat up. I can't do all the
work for you boys. Some goodguesses here though. Williams Appleton, Wisconsin.
There we go. What was that? Jillames over in Bremerton, Oh,
Marvin Williams, Yeah you right, yeah, Scalabrini good good, yes,
Pucket you you screwed up. Youcould add a guest, a guest
from the local high school where youlive. Who is it, Oh Johnson?

In high school? Yeah, MichaelJohnson, good kid, let's go be.
I was covering the Husky basketball teamback then, and uh yeah he

No, no, no, no, no, no hazing product though,
yeah not not not Hambleton. No, good lord that? Where'd he go?

(30:33):
Where do you go? San DiegoState? In the transfer to Washington?
He was? He was in aportal before there was a portal.
Good golfer too. I don't rememberhim being a shooter. I remember a
lot of misses. Okay him?You like him as the color guy though,

Michael Dickerson. You remember Michael Dickerson. Yeah. Feder Away, Yeah,
fed Away High School? Good one. Good for you, sir, Ryan
Appleby getting thrown in there. Noright, Appley was a good high school
player. Where was what do heplay? My bad? I was thinking
of college. You're right, myapologies, Okay college, I was a

(31:18):
sniper. I was thinking. Ijust remember when we were playing him over
in Pullman. They were down twentyhit a three and he did like the
to the crowd and I'm like, you're down twenty. Where would he play
high school at? Though? It'sup north some place right, not too
far. He was a great shooter, though Ryan Appleby could fill it up.
My Appleby was like Stanwood right, something like that. Yeah, he

(31:40):
was a Communit Island good player, real good player. Okay, that's it
for us. Okay, we memorylane all day long. I, despite
a heckling fan, have taken downBellaman Prepp fifty three to thirty eight.

People. Here, we are here, we are where their internet is

(32:23):

nineteen ninety four Sonic season down there, though you had to leave it about
noon to get there in time fortip off. Yeah, I made it.
I made it down to from CaseyIdy here in about thirty minutes.
Today, I'm bat how about that? Took me too the thirty minutes to
get in, but I got herethirty on. But it's it's you can

(32:45):
I can hear the squeaky shoes atthe kids chanting in the background. It's
kind of open. Beamer's band wouldcrank back up. They got a nice
band here, doesn't today here?I love a good band. You know
what. That's the It's the atmosphere, buddy, It's the atmosphere, right,
It's it's uh Beamer, which hasnever really been good at anything,
is now good a basketball? I'msure we can find something. Well.

(33:07):
Biember gets overshadowed by their neighbors FederalWay Indicator, and the rumor is some
of the kids from Federal Way decidedto go to Beamer this year, and
lo and behold, one of themis at state. So good for them,
Good for them? Tell Chris, your guy with another rebound, Your
guy with another rebound. Zaban Jones, big puck. You would like yourself

(34:30):
It's it's hard finding kids that youknow, finding athletes that are also
students the years, oh day orMercer Island. You think, god,
well, do you know what's weird? Jim Jim like remember these things all
joking aside. It used to beyou'd come down well back in the day
at the old Coliseum or wherever andEd Peple and Mercer Island every single on

(34:52):
the Jackets three single year. Butyes, Mercer Island, Ed Pepple was

those kids are playing AU. That'sjust playing basketball. And the level of
play in terms of what these kidsknow how to do. You could throw
