Nick Emmanwori, Seahawks safety joins Ian to discuss his season so far, the team as a whole and how he takes the comparisons he gets to some defensive greats of the past. He also talks about how physical he likes to play and why he feels disrespected when teams try to use a wide receiver to block him.  Stewart Mandel, The Athletic tells Ian what he expects in this year's CFP, gives us the latest on the coaching carousel and puts a bow on the Lane Kiffin saga.  The Daily Power Play!  Coach Holmgren shares some memories of working at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, as Ian is live right there now. Should there be a change on the offensive line? Coach wouldn't be surprised if we saw that happen. What can we make of Rashid Shaheed's performance so far since the trade? Plus, credit to Mike Macdonald and his defensive staff for what they've done this season and with the young players on this team.  Checking in on the Text Line!  FACT OR FICTION!  We revisit the Nick Emmanwori interview.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, welcome back in Virginia, Mason Athletic Center. Infron,

(00:02):
that's with you here, and this is fun. We haven't
a chance to talk to him. We have this season
here on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. Nick
emn Warri joins us right now. Seahawk safety linebacker, nickel Man,
defensive back, utility player, all things fun. One of the
most popular young players on this team.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Number three. How are you?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
I'm doing good man. That's a great introduction. I appreciate
the introduction.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Don't work okay for you?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
That was good.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
All right, let's just let's get to the year. What's
it been like you come in here.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
You probably saw the Seahawks from Afar, but getting a
chance to go out there, Loomingfield is alive again.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
It's been a ton of fun.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
People are loving watching you play on this Mike McDonald defense,
what's been like for you so far?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
It's been a good ride. We've been trying to soak
him our rookie year. You know, that's what Audi has
been telling me. I think we got a special team,
and uh, you know, I think the time is now
right now for you know whatever, trying to get as
a team and our goals. I think I think the
time is now, and I think we have the great team.
You have an amazing team to do what we need
to do. But it's been it's been a hell of
a year, and I'm just excited to be here. You know,

(01:01):
I'm just soaking in everything.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I joked about the man of all trades when I
introduced you, but that's true. When they drafted you, what
did they tell you?

Speaker 3 (01:10):
I mean, they didn't really tell me anything, but they
kind of just We're just trying to figure out what
all I can do, you know. You know, I did
a lot a little bit in college, real versatile, but
you know, an NFL is a different ball game, a
little bit like essentially, it's like, you know, it's a
little bit of a learning curve and it's a little
bit of a you know, it's a different ball game,
different players out there, different athletes. So just throughout training

(01:33):
camp and when I first got here, they're just seeing all.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
What I could do.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
You know, if I can cover people, if I can
tacklef icking blitz, if I can you know, play off
the ball, play on the ball, playing a deep part
of the field.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
What can I do?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
So just throughout training camp. I was just showing them
my versatility, just being me, and I think Mike's done
a great job as far as like showcase of my
ability and like you know, he's he's he's done a
great job and just making sure I'm in the right
position and just let me fly and rip it.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Nick, were there any for you coming in? There's two
guys that were mentioned when you got drafted, and two
guys are probably still mentioned. They tell me, you're watching
an NFL broadcast, they mentioned that one guy wore thirty
one not three, and you know Cam very well, know
who he is. And then Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore. You're
neither one of those guys. I think you're your Nick
even worry But when you hear people talk about you

(02:18):
in that vein, is that a good thing? Is it?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Is it challenging?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I want to make my own name. What do you
think about when you hear those two names brought up?
Because you hear those names brought up a lot with you.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Definitely, especially with two great players, especially Cam, you know,
being drafted here kind of the same body type, same size.
You know a lot of people are like comparing me,
trying to like make comparisons and stuff.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
And like you said, I think I'm my own player.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
But I think Cam's like he kind of like he
was one of my favorite safeties to watch, but like
just just to watch them. I don't think I really
play like him. I think we have like two different
play styles. I'm a little bit more versatile and like
a little bit more as you can say, like Kyle Hamilton.
But I respect Cam a lot, and I think he's
done great in Seattle. But even when you talk about
coll hymns and uh, you know, I think my play
style kind of replicates him well enough, Like if you

(03:08):
watch the tape, we do a lot of the same stuff.
You know, Mike was at Baltimore when he was there
early in his career. So but I think still even then,
I'm my own player too. I think on my own,
you know, like I have my own stuff. I do
better than both those players, and the stuff they have
they do better than me.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
So NICKI in order with us, I'll tell you this
and you'll like it radio so people can't see this.
And I love cam our friend Julius here with us
from the PR staff. I covered I'd work TV for
a long time cover this team and did a million
interviews with Cam Chancellor. Loved the guy to death. One
of my favorite people to talk to, Very honest, very blunt.
I never saw a smile like that. Nick even wore
has a smile on his face.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I don't think you're smiling on the field. But that's different.
Cam was just a he was a straight out of
sass in that guy like he was. He was a
different dude.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
But you are.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
I think you are very different in that regard. I
mean you like to play physical though, right, Like you
just talk about that. That's not something that you shy
away from. I mean you're a fit player, of course.
Difference between sitting in center field and letting Earl Thomas
guy the guy into him and just killing some dude
and you.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
But you like to play physical. You like to play
in the box, don't you.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
I like playing the box especially you know, it's it's fun.
I know you gotta attack guys. You can't shy away
from smoke, you know, especially in a perimeter game. I
love when they try to like put dudes out there
to block me and I'll blow up screens like you know,
I take that.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
I take that person. I take that as a challenge
when they.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Try to put dudes out there to especially the wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah, wire, see you can't do that, you know. I
take that super personal.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But you know, whenever I get my opportunities in the
deep back into the field to you know, play that
deep safety and get those angles out the catch dudes
lacking and stuff, I'll be ready for that too, and
I'll be looking for that too. But as far as
right now, I know just the position I'm in. You know,
you like, you gotta be more physical down there, you know,
playing with the front seven a little bit and different
coverages and stuff, knowing when to shoot gaps, known when
you got to take on the line, and knowing you

(04:50):
can blow stuff up.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
So it's been fun just doing everything.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Really, Nick, is it is the genius of Mike McDonald.
I know he's your first NFL coach and you're a rookie,
But isn't the genius of Mike McDonald that he brings
a guy like you in that maybe doesn't fit into
the box like this is what a This is what
a safety or a nickel or whatever should look like.
Same thing with a Kyle Hamilton and I think that
was what Pete's back when Pete was at his pinnacle.
Here found guys with Brandon Browner, Richard Sherman didn't fit

(05:14):
into a box what they wanted. But to find a
guy like you say, that's a unique talent and make
it work for you. Is that kind of what makes
Mike McDonald's such a good coach in your mind? I
think it's a little bit of both.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
I think Mike, you know, he is my first NFL coach,
but from all the guys and just being around him
myself personally, like he's probably like one of the smartest
coaches I've ever had. Like he's like real, He's into
the game, like he really he's not. He's the real deal.
So I think it's a littit of both of just
learning how to, you know, use my talent and he's
done it before and he just knows. And I think
I'm like a mismatch positionless type of player, like you know,

(05:46):
they don't know what you know, if the count him
and Nickel or do I counts Big Nickel when I'm
in dom or Like what do they do they count
me in a run game?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Do they not count me in a run game. Do
they block me?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Do they not?

Speaker 4 (05:56):
So it's kind of giving teams.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
A hard time to like figure out what to do
me and how to attack me and like try to
get around me. So it just makes us a better
defense as whole when you can't really tell like who's
out there, you know, just like how offense is.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
You know, they get a giant to like throw the ball.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
And they get they all their tight ends can line
up at receiver or whatever. It's kind of like the
same thing we're doing on defense. Like you know, we're
real multiple.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Have you have you had to try to block Cooper
Cup and practice yet or have him block you yet?

Speaker 5 (06:20):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Yeah, he had Coops a great blocker.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Actually he's when you cause when you so as you
said that, like you take offense when a wide receiver blocks.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Shit, he's one of the best blocking He's a different dude.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Yeah, he's one of the best blocking receivers.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Like you know, during training camp, he was really giving
me a hard time, like like he has different techniques
and he's real firm at the point of attack, so like,
uh he he gets to you quick to to like
you know, sometimes you can tell when.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Someone's crack blocking.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
But he'll kind of hide it and then he'll like
fake like he's going to the safety and to end
up coming to Cracky.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
So he's he's real good at.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
The who's who on this defense has kind of helped
you out as a rookie, taking you under their wing.
There's a lot of I mean, there's a lot of veterans,
a bunch of veterans up front, there's some veterans in
the back end. Who's really kind of been a guy
you can go to and say, hey, listen, man, I
got a question about this. Maybe it's not even on
the field, maybe it's off the field, just to becoming
an NFL player. Who have you been able to kind
of lean on?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Definitely Kobe Bryant in the safety room.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
You know, we sit right beside each other in the film,
so he's he's kind of like to do what I've
been leaning on and talking to the most as far
as life, just helping me out and figuring out this
NFL game, which you know he's doing doing a great job.
And I've just been kind of following his lead and
trust him as a VET.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
And that's probably a good guy to do that, just
because I mean, we talked about your versatility. He came
in here as an outside corner Thorpe Award winner, best
corner in the Nation. Yeah, played with some guy named Sauce,
but he had he got the awards, and then they
convert him to a nickel starts as a nickel guy,
battles to adversity, and you probably know the story. And
now he's a starter in the second dary. He's probably
a good guy to lean on in that regard, and
also shows you what the NFL is all about.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Isn't it. Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Great, great vet, great, great, you know, great football player,
great person all around.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
So I respect him a lot in that regard. The defense,
This is the world we live in now with sports.
I'm gonna be guilty of it right now. So I'm
not going to say other people say it. I'm saying
it too. We all compare, We play the compare game.
That's what we do. The defense is here in the
heyday in twenty twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, best in
the NFL elite. They had an attitude, they had a swagger.

(08:05):
I feel like I see that coming back.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
I see that.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I feel like I see that here. Different personnel, different guys,
but I see that is there a swagger in that room?
Is there kind of like, hey, put put the game
in our hands if the offense is struggle and put
the game.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
In our hands.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
But is there a swagger and who kind of leads
that that kind of alpha male swagger charge in a sense.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah for Shure, for sure. I mean how can we
not have swag? You know, we got like dudes like
spoon dudes like Jared Reed, Leo d Law, Like you know,
I wouldn't say there's like a premier alpha. I think
there's like a pack of wolves. We're all alphas out there,
like you know, it's kind of like unheard of almost
like you kind of like there was a one leader,
but we got offhas in every room, the multiple multiple

(08:45):
dudes in every room, whether that's in linebacker room, the
d line room, or the secondary. So it's like we
got a real special group of guys. And I don't
really think people like, well people are giving us our credit.
We really don't care if they do or not, but
like people don't really understand what we really got here,
Like it is real.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Jared Reed gets it, like he's that guy I know,
he's on the injury list right now.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
But he kind of leads the pack as yeah, so yeah,
he he breaks down the the huddles before we go out,
he gives us a little speech and like you know,
he gets dudes fired up. So he definitely U you know,
leads a pack in that regard real quick.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
With Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
You probably what you've watched the tape y now we
I mean it's b Jean Robinson, scary dude. Drake London
probably is gonna play this week, Kyle Pitts. They got
some skill out there. What do you see on tape
from the Falcons.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
They got a good group of good group of guys
on the offensive side of the ball. But I think
we got a great defenders on the defense side of
the bus. I think we'll match up Will but uh,
you know, I can't really say too much, but just
give him the respect.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I don't want to say nothing, not a you know, no,
I don't don't want to put you in that position.
Let me find final thing for you. There's a huge
game coming up against the Rams in a couple of weeks.
That's we all kind of know what. That's what's gonna
be more than likely on the line. Big shout out
and thank you to the Carolina Panthers, by the way,
for taking pare of the business last week.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Thank you to them.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
How is it a focus for you guys? One game
at a time. It's the sports cliche that never goes away.
But the reality is, you guys know what the standings
look like, you know what's at staked the next few weeks,
you know what's coming up.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
How hard is it to stay focused week to week?

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Especially you know, I mean you played a team last
week frankly that was a lesser opponent, rookie quarterback. How
hard is it to stay at that same level and
focusing on every week when you know what's at stake
coming up?

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Yeah, like you said, you know, I don't want to
just say the cliche answer because you know that's kind
of like real media talk.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
But just why we're going again, by the way, just.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Being real, like, you know, it's the month of December,
football games again, tight and uh, I know what type
of team we have and I think everyone has that
game circled honestly, you know, you know, just looking at
how we've been trending as a team, and we've been
stacking wins each each each week I think, you know,
you know, like that's that's definitely gonna be gang for
all the marbles right there. And I think you know,
I'm excited. I know the team's excited, and uh, we
can't wait till we get there, you know.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
But this is there's been a ton of fun and
I know Seak fans been wanting to hear from you
for a long long time on our station, and I'm
glad we got a chance to sit down talk. Hopefully
we can do it again. I appreciate spending time during
the lunch hour to do this and save travels. Bestlockdown Atlanta.
We'll talk again, of course, appreciate it. That's Nick emon
Warre joining us here. We'll take a quick break, come
back to the Virginia mas Athletics in our nine three
point three KFM, It's.

Stuart Mandel on your home for college football Saturdays, Sports
Radio ninety three point three KJR FM.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
All right, here we go, time to check in with
our good friend Stewart Mandel, The Athletic, All Things college Football,
the Audible Podcast.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Been waiting to do this for a couple of days now.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Although I don't know, I feel like I've heard a
lot of Stuart lately because there's been a lot of
Audible podcasts and a lot.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Of columns on the athletic.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
I feel like I've got a lot of information from
people named Mandel, Russel Feldman, the three amigos there, among
others of the athletic. But boy, there's a lot going
on in college football, all kinds of stuff. So let's
get to it. Stuart, how are you today?

Speaker 7 (12:19):
I'm grad Ian. How are you?

Speaker 2 (12:20):
I'm good. I'm good. There's well, let's just first of all,
talk about the rankings.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
So they come out yesterday, and you know, we've got
championship weekend coming up, so we know one and two,
Ohio State, Indiana safe, Georgia safe. You know, we can
talk about buys and so forth, Texas Tech appears safe,
Oregon probably safe. Ole miss moves up one, which we'll
get to in a second. But everyone in the country
right now is talking about really spots nine, ten, eleven,

(12:47):
and twelve. Nine at Alabama, ten, Notre Dame, BYU, and
Miami round out those twelve just in general, and we'll
get to some specifics. What was your read on what
came out yesterday with the second to last College Football
All rankings.

Speaker 7 (13:02):
Well, I think that they gave Miami a chance. You know,
all this time, there's been a lot of frustration out there,
Hey Miami b Nerdame on the field, Why are they
still behind them? And the committee has kept saying because
they're not close enough. Well, you see how it plays
out there now with the switch between Alabama and Nerdame
and now Notre Dame. It's Notre Dame b YU Miami.

(13:26):
If BYU loses the Texas Tech, especially if it's not close.
Now suddenly Nerdame and Miami are right next to each other,
and I just have to think at that point they
would flip them. I just cannot imagine the committee ignore
because if you look at the rest of the rankings,
there's lots of lots of ones where they're ordered by
head to head, Why they would just ignore this one
if they're literally right next to each other. You know,

(13:48):
I don't, I don't think that would happen.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Let me steal something from your podcast. And I think
Ralph brought up what if and and you know, I
guess this would be the big what if?

Speaker 2 (13:57):
But what if.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Alabama loses, which they will, but close to Georgia, and
would they would they dare bump Notre Dame above Alabama
in Notre Dame all of a sudden nine Alabama ten.
And that way, there's that one little bit of separation,
is that can give the committee an out to not
use the head to head, which they have been reluctant
to do so far.

Speaker 7 (14:19):
I know he said that, Hunter Yurchik said that you
know this, this, this great win they had at Auburn
was what was false of them over Notre Dame. But
it sure feels like they're giving themselves a buffer. I
just cannot imagine the committee dropping. You know, Alabama goes
and plays an extra game, loses in the SEC championship
game to a team they already beat on the Earth,

(14:40):
and then drops out of the playoff entirely, very hard
to imagine. I think that only comes into play if
it's a complete blowout. If it's a complete blowout, you know,
there are people who will say you shouldn't get punished
for losing the conference championship game, especially if it means
you're going to get passed by the by Notre Dame
and or Miami who didn't play. And I actually agree

(15:02):
with that, but I think the committee has a hard
time ignoring it when it's not a close result. And
so you know, the way to insulate that a bit,
little bit would be, like you said, just move Notre
Dame back ahead of Alabama to keep Alabama in between
Notre Dame and Miami.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah, and that's I mean, we're all talking hypotheticals here,
but that would work it out. So I mean along
those lines, and I just I have to think the
same thing that if we're talking about you know, one
through nine, and again one through nine, Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, Texas, Tech, Oregon, Ole,
miss Texas, A and m Oklahoma, Alabama. That's one through

(15:40):
nine in your mind, and the minds of most those
nine teams are safe, right they're in the College football playoff.

Speaker 7 (15:49):
Yes, I believe so, because they haven't shown no indication
that they're going to just you know, blow the thing
up and look at it again. I mean, I think
Oklahoma should be getting a second look. I think they
their offense has just gotten worse and worse, and some
of the teams they beat, you know, as of last week,
I was sa, their resume is just too good to

(16:09):
leave out. Well, they beat Tennessee, a team that sell
out of the top twenty five. This week they beat
Missouri I think has been out of the top twenty
five for two weeks. They do have a great win
at Alabama, obviously that was a big one. They lost
a home to All miss But the committee didn't move them,
and so I don't know why they would suddenly drop
them three spots without playing.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
So there is a path for Miami and we'll see
how that plays out, if you know.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
And less like that.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
I just I think that that buffer that Ralph brought
up and then you just brought up again as well.
I just I think that buffers are out. You know,
there's the reluctance they want that this is the absolute reluctance.
I mean, they're gonna do it. Why wouldn't they do
it already, Why wouldn't they put Miami above Notre Dame already?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Because neither one of those teams are playing this week,
so nothing changes.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
They've maintained all along that I mean right now, bi
use in between them, and so to flip Miami and
Notre Dame now, right, they would be saying, well, we thought,
we think, you know, as of last week, we think
BYU is better than Miami, But all of a sudden,
we're going to change our mind on that just to

(17:19):
honor this head to head result. I'm not saying it's
right by the way, right right, I think I think
they don't want to do that to BYU, and especially
since BYU it's going to have a chance to play
its way in or not this weekend. So once they're
out of the equation and Notre Dame and Miami are
right next to each other, then it becomes unavoidable. In
my mind. It happened, by the way, the very first
year twenty fourteen, and I realized they're not the same

(17:40):
people they were on the committee way back then. But
it's the same process all TCU. Baylor beat TCU Crazy
Game sixty one to fifty eight middle of the season,
and but once Baylor lost, TCU went ahead of them
and just stayed there week after week. People would be like,
I don't understand the head to head only in the
very last ranking after they had played the same round

(18:03):
robin schedule, so played all the same Big twelve teams,
and I think I had a non conference one in
common too. Then they flipped them. So we do have
a precedent for this.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Stuart Matdelphi the Athletic also the audible podcast. All right,
let me the other one that kind of I'm curious about.
Let's just say this and you understand this better than
most of us would cover the sport. Intimately, there's going
to be fallout one way or the other. Whether Miami
is passed over or Notre Dame is passed over, there's
going to be fallout Miami, the ACC JE and Phillips,

(18:35):
our commissioner.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
He's going to face some heat.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
As it is, they could be left out entirely, the
ACC and the College Football Playoff. I feel like that's
still unlikely because Duke would have to win and then
we'd have that little gong show happening. But Stuart, what
kind of fallout would happen if Notre Dame being ranked
inside forever that the top you know, the top what
it is, the top ten? If Notre Dame were to

(19:01):
get left out, sitting there at number ten in the
second to last college football playoff rankings, if Notre Dame
were to get left out, how much juice does Notre
Dame have and what would be a fallout from that?

Speaker 7 (19:13):
I don't get the suns. There's much sympathy out there
for Notre Dame if they mist I personally think they're
capable of reaching the national title game. I think they're
if you were ranking by the eye test, right, they'd
be in my probably like number five or six for me.
But it's hard to say they have a great resume
right when you're talking what's your best win? A nine
to three usc T, what's your next best win tick?

(19:36):
The one that's going to just blow the whole system
up is if Alabama loses the SEC title game and
falls out of the playoffs, Greg Thankee, we'll go balistic.
There will be calls to end the SEC championship game,
or there will be calls to put some parameters on
the playoff rankings where that can't happen. I've been saying

(19:58):
it a lot this week, but college football, like to
college football spends a lot of time trying to correct
the controversies from the year before going back to the
BCS because you cannot forecast, like there's always going to
be a different scenario and something happens, everybody gets ticked off,
and so they they try to come up with something

(20:20):
to correct it, and in doing so, cause there to
be some other controversy in the next year.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Stuart Mendel joining us here on the Compubent Hotline weekly
Visit the Athletic and the Audible podcast. Yeah, that would
be something else if that were to happen, And you
have to ask yourself. I guess the hard thing I
find was the steward is you know it's a very
sub It's still subjective. You know, like there's still a
subjective nature to this. You know everything we're talking about
is subjective. Well, the committee will move this team there,

(20:47):
there'll be a buffer there, there won't be a buffer there,
then they finally go ahead to head. It is still subjective?
Is this because someone's going to be pissed off? Like,
come selection Sunday, someone is going to be upset. Whether
that team is named Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami, sec acc
whoever it is, someone's going to be upset, maybe more

(21:09):
than one.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Of the ones I just mentioned.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Is is this the impetus then to get this from
a twelve to sixteen team playoff?

Speaker 7 (21:17):
Well, this season is a good argument for a sixteen
team playoff. Last year was not. We barely could find
twelve capable teams to feel that you put it in,
Like I didn't feel great about Indiana and SMU being
in there, especially Indiana who hadn't had any big winsight
a terrible schedule, but there was no There was nobody
else that You're like, well, this team should definitely be
in and I think you're seeing a very chalky season,

(21:42):
where like I don't. I think the four teams that
right now that would be on the out Uius had
a great season, They have a very strong resume. There's
just not room for them, right Miami. We talked about
you're going to hear a lot of outcry about Texas,
I think from the SEC because they played Ohio State

(22:02):
and got an extra loss by way, so they why
should we Why should we schedule a game like that right,
and then poor Vandy best season in school history ten
and two any other year ten and two sec team
you're in and they're not particularly close because of this
the unbalanced schedule. So if you had a sixteen team playoff,
those four teams would be in, but I would just

(22:23):
cost people. That's that's not the norm. This is not
how most seasons are going to play out. If anything,
If anything, I think it'll be more often like last year.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
It's uh.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
B Yu, by the way, has already had a big
win this week with Klonie Satake staying. We sold some
the church, sold some crumbled cookies and found the money
and the ties I think I think the ties to Honestly,
I say that half half tongue in cheek, having worked
in that market for a number of years and covered
by you for a number of years.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
At the end of the the uh well, I was
there for the Gary Crochten era. That was a lot
of fun.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
But Lavelle Edwards as well, the tie to the church
are strong, and frankly, you know, not being a big
b Yu fan ever, but I'm happy for b Yu.
I'm glad that Satake is staying a big win for them.
Already this week. But that leads us to Pennsta.

Speaker 7 (23:10):
Can I ask you and just a quick question, Yeah,
how you heard of crumble cookies before this story happened.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Yeah, we have them here, We have them here. Yeah yeah, okay, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:19):
I feel gone because I've never had a Crumble cookies
and all of a sudden it was just I mean,
James Franklin his trolling Penn State by having Crumble cookies
at Virginia Tech signing day ceremony.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
So good, so good. By the way, Yeah, that was awesome.
I did that.

Speaker 7 (23:35):
I think I gotta I think I gotta go check
it out because apparently who knew crumble cookies was funding
BYU football.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Well, Stuart, we can also bring this up. It's a
whole different discussion. I'm not sure if it's even a cookie.
They feel like many cakes to me. They're very thick
and chewy and cakey. But they're fantastic. They're not great
for your health, but this is the time of the year,
in the in the holiday months, you don't worry about
they're fantastic. But yeah, it's an LDS owned company, and uh,
there be that Marriott Hotels the stock they hold in

(24:03):
Coca Cola, especially the non caffeinated version.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
They found the money, but I think that I think
the ties to is Alma.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Monitored, the ties to the church, feeling comfortable, feeling comfortable
recruiting that athlete to that school. Frankly, it's an incredible setting.
I don't know if you've ever been there, it's you know,
and yeah, yeah, and in the Big Twelve, I mean
it's it's and you go to Penn State, man, you
win ten or eleven games, you're it's not good enough.
And so where are they now with the coaching search,

(24:29):
because it just feels like they're they're kind of left
in no man's land, and that's one of the top
programs in the country.

Speaker 7 (24:36):
I think they're about to like post that job on
indeed dot com and see if maybe there's some candidates
who might say yes. I don't I don't honestly know
why this has played out the way it did. How
you fired James Franklin so early in the process, and
yet you're at this stage of the game and you
still don't have a coach, and by all indications, I mean,

(24:58):
at least two people have turned them down. Jeff Brahm
is now saying he's not leaving Louisville. I don't just
don't know if he actually was in consideration attend State.
I knew know they interviewed Brian dave All. The fact
that they haven't actually gone ahead and hired him tells
me they've got eyes on somebody else. Matt Campbell at
Iowa State seems like a possibility. But I think the

(25:18):
fans are pretty frustrated, you know they But this is
a perfect example though, right of what I've said at
the time, it's always easier to fire the coach than
to hire the next one. Florida. You know, those fans
spent two years begging them to fire Villa in Apier,
and they end up with John summerl who's a good coach.
But they the two lane coach. But they are, you know,

(25:39):
beside themselves because they had their hopes uff for a lane.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Kift's uh, let's let Stuart Mandel put a bow on
on the lane kiff and saga from the fact that
he's not coaching in the playoffs to the fact that
he strung this out forever. The lane train is officially
in Baton Rouge. Somebody comes to you and ten to
fifteen years from now goes Stuart. What you covered the

(26:03):
crazy Lane Kiffin from ole Miss to LSU story, How
would you sum it up?

Speaker 7 (26:11):
Maddening? I found the whole thing maddening, both in the
fact that the way Lane Kiffen handled it, but also
the way we saw some prominent ESPN analysts tried to
basically pressure ole Miss until letting him coach in the playoffs.
Ole Miss was never going to let him coach in
the playoffs. That had been communicated to him, probably from

(26:32):
the time at least from the time his family went
on those secret flights to visit Florida and LSU. But
the reason he kept dragging out if he just kept thinking,
you know, I'm sure Jimmy Sexton had a lot to
do with this, that they could convince them that, you know,
you don't want to do this till the players in
the players best interest, you know, for them to achieve
what they want to achieve, you know, let me coach them.

(26:52):
And you just can't. And the reason you can is
what we're seeing now. You've got you know, he's got you.
We've got ole Miss players. Now, I mean, first the fans,
you know, foot him, but like the players are tweeting
out that he lied to them, and you know they
didn't actually want him to come back. So I just
can you imagine if they had given in and you

(27:14):
get to that game three weeks from now, three weeks
of hurt feelings, they would boot him like mad when
he comes to the leadst players out of the field.
So I give a lot of credit to their ad
Keith Carter, for first standing firm. But also, look, I
don't know, if I don't know, if you know, the

(27:35):
promoting the defensive coriner is the best thing forever, but
it was the best thing for this playoff run because
now you have stability and it's not like this story
continues to hover over you. Who's going to be the
next coach?

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, I mean I've I've watched this happen in my
school a bunch of times. Obviously not in the college
Football playoff, But you know, Mike Price wanted to coach
the Rose Bowl back in two thousand and two before
going to Alabama. Shortest stint as that was, and there
were a lot of people boosters people around that wanted
no part of that. But he was going to the SEC.
He wasn't going to Oregon or stam for cal or USC.

(28:11):
He was going to the SEC and in the end
he coached the team. I don't think he coached it well.
I will always go to my grave thinking.

Speaker 7 (28:18):
That I was at that game. I got that game.
I remember I was down on the field in the
corner when he ran off and they were watching it
on Trader or Trader it was.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
It was. There was a lot of emotions too. And
that's a guy that took our school.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
To the Rose Bowl twice, you know, for the first
time in sixty seven years, and but people didn't like,
you're gone, You're gone.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
And but that was a tough one. You know.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
I've I've watched a defensive coordinator, Bill Doba get get hired, promoted.
He was a Coach of the Year in the Pac
twelve and then some things happened personally with his wife
that kind of sent that one sideways. But I think
DoBeS was a good coach. He was the right higher
at the time. Dickert was probably the right higher at
the time when Crazy Rolovic got turfed. But you know,
and then Dickert now has like eighteen different contract extensions
coming his way, so good for him. This is this,

(29:01):
but those are all different going to a different school. Like,
you know, Dickert mailed it in last year, the last
three weeks. That's my problem with him. Kiffin didn't mail
it in it all miss obviously.

Speaker 7 (29:09):
I think at the playoffs, did you guys watch crazy
Rolovich leak out of the to the outset get into
the ACC Championship?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, old Rollo man, Rollos.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
He's a treat.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
I'm sure he'll be on the staff with Tosh lab
Boy and they can all hang out together. Tosh is
famous here for his cash and the coffee cups when
he was coaching at Washington. Anyway, we move on the
let me ask the final thing for you, Steward, is
this the when we look at college football now? Like,
what's the solution to avoid the Lane Kiffin situation in

(29:44):
the future in terms of you know, as Rick Patino
had pointed out, uh, and it's overly simplistic, but it's true.
It's like, I can't imagine leaving a team this number
one seed in March madness to coach another team, Like,
what's the solution is or a solution.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
Not an easy solution If I'm the sec because anytime
you talk about some sort of national coordination of hey,
you know, who are to say, Hey, NCAA, you know,
make a rule that the coaches can't change jobs during
the season, somebody will see them and they'll probably lose. Right,
they're not going to do that. But if I'm the
SEC who is supposed to treat all the schools equally

(30:23):
and protect all their interests, I don't want this to
happen again. I would if I'm the SEC, I make
a rule that says you can't coach coaches within the
conference from our other schools. From what I've asked people,
that would probably stand up better because it's you know,
you're not You're not restricting every coach in the country.

(30:44):
But yeah, it's that's the only way. Because the people
who complain about the calendar and the calendar being the
way it is, you know you've heard us say this
on the podcast. The coaches are the biggest drivers of
the calendar. They the calendar is set around what they
recommend and what they and they're the ones who wanted
an early signing day because they were sick of having

(31:05):
to babysit their commitments all the way into February, making
sure they didn't flip. The coaches wanted at the portal
to be in the winter and not the spring, so
they could have their roster offset for the start of
spring practice. And then they'll see people turn around and say, well,
what lank if it's supposed to do the calendar so
screwed up?

Speaker 8 (31:26):
Right?

Speaker 7 (31:27):
So you know that's that's going to have to come from.
That's not going to come from changing the calendar. It's
going to have to come from putting some restrictions on
coach movements.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
I want to I want to discuss this further. This
is a This is going to be a seven day teas.
Next week we'll talk about the college football playoff. But
I've got some things I want to throw at you
next week in regards to that, but it's it'll take
a little bit too much time today. So this is
a seven day teas, a professional seven day t's jes
Do you like that? Discuss We'll discuss this further with
Stewart next week. In the meantime, tell people about the audible.

Speaker 7 (31:57):
Step the audible it's on seemingly every day right now,
but that's not always going to be the case. You
can First of all, here's what I'll tease on. So Bruce,
Ralph and I. You know, we're in our home offices

There it is after night, will four day rest.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
They will be up in Edmonton five thirty pre game
with the Captain Mike Benton, six o'clock drop of the puck.
Emonton losing last night at home, won nothing to Minnesota.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
I love to say it. Wow, Andrews's no feelings about
that name.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
It's good news and bad news. The problem is Minnesota's
here Monday and there spoken hot, right hot. Their goaltending
is great, and they get a shut out in Edmonton
against the Oilers who shut out Seattle on Saturday last week.
So see how that game goes coming up on Thursday.
Mason Marchman will not make the trip to Ebonton. He

(34:30):
has not practiced this week, so we'll see he's listed
as day to day. No further details from Lane Lambert
at practice day. Lane Lambert, by the way, on with
Faine and Softy his weekly visit with them coming up
at three forty.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Five to day.

Speaker 6 (34:44):
How you over that?

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Let's go one other hockey note. Game two of the
home schedule for the PWHL Seattle Torrent is tonight at
Climate Pledge Arena. They're taking on Andrew's favorite team, the
New York Sirens.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
That is my favorite team it is.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
I knew it would be uh Sirens and Torrent tonight
seven o'clock at Climate Pledge Arena.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
So that's game two.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
They have the of course, record setting crowd in the
game one, which was on Black Friday last week, and
they'll have their second game tonight at Climate Pledge.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Arena looking for their first win of the year. I
believe right. They lost in overtime, you believe so?

Speaker 6 (35:24):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah, I lost in overtime in Vancouver and then I
got shut out.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Oh yeah, yeah, the home opener. It's kind of a
bad two day stretch.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
For pro hockey and Seattle on front of the torn
gets shut out, the crack and gets shut out.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Some of these score a goal there at the home team.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
So if Hillary Knight though, they should be able to.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
You would think, yeah, yeah, you would think with the
captain of Team America USA.

Speaker 9 (35:46):
Oh how about that news by the way, the whole
rank situation. Oh we should get to that just real quick.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
I'm glad you brought that up. Yeah. Boy, the Olympics
can screw things up.

Speaker 6 (36:01):
It is feefal like IOC is not good.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Not just corrupt, no, not just corrupt.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Competent, yeah, incompetent.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Apparently the ice hockey rink in Italy is not up
to normal standards. Not only is it not an Olympic
sized sheet, which is bigger than a normal like if
you've see an NHL rink in every NHL arena, Hell,
go to show weear or Angel will wins there or
a practice rank at kCi yep, there are two hundred

(36:36):
feet long and eighty five feet wide two eighty five
rus Wilson Russell Wilson loves that eighty five the exact
specifications fifty three and third apparently and usually Olympic size.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
I think it is one hundred feet wide. I think
it's extra fifteen feet something like that.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Nevertheless, not only is it not Olympic size, it's not
even two hundred by eighty five feet this rink for
the ice hockey Again, Milan.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Is get it to me.

Speaker 9 (37:05):
Matt Larkin asked uh the NHL Deputy commissioner Bill Daily,
what's the actual percentage that NHLers don't go to the Olympics,
And his response was, depends on the percentage you want
to place on the possibility the rink doesn't get completed.
If there's no rink completed, there's no NHL players going
to the Olympics.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
Yeah, God, that would be gross. Yeah in the Winter Olympics,
no hockey. Okay, well, no NHL players.

Speaker 9 (37:34):
But this is like, this was the whole thing about
this Olympics that they've been hyping up for two three years.
It's like, all right, we're gonna let them go. It's
the best on best, right, all the success from the
four nations face off last year, and now it all
go down the drain.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Well, the problem is is that you know, we've gone
what the last two Olympics without NHL players.

Speaker 6 (37:52):
Yeah, I believe yes, And.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
It's it's if the NHL will, if the NHL players
are there, it's a marquee event.

Speaker 6 (37:59):
Fields awesome.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
It's probably the number one event in the Olympics.

Speaker 6 (38:03):
Is and that's just not from hockey fans, that's anyone.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
It's just because unlike you know, like basketball in the.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Olympics, it I mean, it's Team USA who they're going
to beat for the gold medal? Right, that's what it
is basically almost every year. Yeah, soccer, it's not even
a best on best because it's is it you twenty four?

Speaker 6 (38:22):
Yeah, it's there's a weird requirements.

Speaker 9 (38:24):
You can allow like I think two or three senior
players to come, but the rest of it's U twenty three.

Speaker 6 (38:29):
Like it's it's weird because it's yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
It's younger players. It's not the best in the world.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
It's not women's Women's Olympic soccer is the best. It's
the best, but really there's four countries that can compete, right, Japan, US,
Canada and.

Speaker 9 (38:42):
Sweden, Sweden, Germany a little bit. But yeah, it's that
Women's Olympic hockey. It's Team USA and Team Canada and
nobody else.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
This is like, it's gonna be ideal. I mean it's
gonna be awesome. US and Canada the two favorites, but
Finland's going to be good, Sweden's gonna be Chucky is
going to be good.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
I mean yeah. If they screw this up, oh lord,
it's just been brutal.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
So anyway, Yeah, that's the news there, So Sirens and
torrent tonight seven o'clock and climb the pledge cracking tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
And sitting here at the house at Holme Red built
as we like to call the Virginia Mason Athletics Center
today hanging out, having some having some fun here watching
watching a very good football team play today.

Speaker 8 (41:27):
So oh no, you you and I remember when they
built that place.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Yep, I remember standing out of the mud when you
guys broke ground actually in like really, what.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
Was it like?

Speaker 1 (41:37):
It was it a what was it before the Virginia
Mason Athletics Center? Was it like a dumb er something?

Speaker 8 (41:42):
I don't know. I know that Paul mister Allen owned
a lot of that land.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (41:47):
And remember they used to make the big posts for
telephone poles.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
That's what it was. That's what was.

Speaker 5 (41:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (41:55):
Yeah, And so the land, the land we had to
clean out. All the land was had got infected by
the stuff they were on the bols.

Speaker 5 (42:02):
Oh there's all.

Speaker 8 (42:03):
There's a long story to it. But it really what
a beautiful place along the lake there, and it was nice.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
I was thinking of that today. I walked out and
watched the first bit of practice during a commercial break,
and even though it was cool, it was cold, you know,
kind of the little wind blowing off the off Lake Washington.
I mean, Jesus, if you're a player, you can't you
can't go wrong, right, you're just looking out there. It's
a it's a heck of a view. Well better than
a lot of places around the country, NFL facilities, that's
for sure.

Speaker 8 (42:26):
No question about that. Well you remember where.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
We were, oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 8 (42:31):
Remember the tenth Sometimes it would blow down if it
got too windy.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
Yeah, the borderline bubble thing that you guys had when
flayed out there for the battle.

Speaker 8 (42:38):
Yes, anyway, I was.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Interested they were, so they practiced outside today.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
I was kind of curious, when did you because you
had the bubble out there and then you had, you know, here,
you had the indoor part. When did you want to
practice inside like on turf as opposed to grass outside.

Speaker 8 (42:54):
Yeah? Well, usually if the field was not so hot,
you know, if that if I changed something for you
as far as your preparation. But if the field was good,
going out there in the little wind and a little
cold weather, that wasn't bad. But I'd go back to
when I was in Green Bay and for us, all
those guys who are coaches ahead of me practiced in

(43:16):
the snow and the ice outside. It was good for you. Well,
I went in there and gee many Christmas said, Well, well,
I said, we're going inside. Well that's not how I
used to do it. Well, we I want to get
a practice in. I want people slipping it. We're not
ice skating out here, you know.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Well's that's why I bring it up, because there's isn't
there the balance between like getting your work done. That's
the most important thing, right, is getting your work. Then
I try to tough it out.

Speaker 8 (43:39):
Yeah, no, that's exactly right. And you got to get
used to the elements and what I call the team.
I said, look, we're going to go inside, and they
just went I almost got a standing ovation, but then
I said, then you will have to whatever happened Sunday,
we'll deal with it Sunday. But I want a good
practice here.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Yeah, I would think, man, I'll say I last time
I was in Green Bay would have been it was
a January of twenty nineteen. See X were playing that
playoff game there and and we we got there a
few days early. We're doing live shots out in the
parking lot and it's the parking lot that kind of
faces the Packers facility. I don't know what and what

(44:16):
is facing, but you know what I'm talking about there. Yeah,
and we at the end of the parking lot, a
nice little shot of Lambeau Field behind us, and oh, Mike,
the cold it was. I mean it was we kept
we jump out, do a shot, jump back in the
car for an hour and wait for.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
The next one.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
I mean because the wind was blown, Like you don't
really feel the wind inside Lambeau, but the wind blown
through that parking lot.

Speaker 8 (44:36):
It was no thank you hey, And I was the
coldest person inside the stadium on game day, I froze,
Oh it was cold. But that's why I sent you
the Italian restaurant.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
That's an Appleton and it's fantastic, Absolutely fantastic. One of
my favorite road stops along the ways. Mike Olgerd joins
us here on the VCON Pulping Hotline is weekly visit.
A couple of things I was listening to Mike mcdo,
I'll speak toda. A couple things jumped out. I'm going
to get to those because they're more defensive things in
a second. First of all, let's let's suck Sam Darnold.
There's been you know, if you look at kind of

(45:10):
his game to game there there, he hasn't put up
the big numbers the last couple of weeks, and there's
been things along those ways. But what do you seeing
from Sam and maybe more specifically the defense or the
offense as a whole right now?

Speaker 8 (45:21):
Yeah, I just think I just think I would caution
everybody just take a breath. You know, Sam's going to
be okay, He's played well, he's gotten you know, there
are a couple of things, of course, you know, with
interceptions and that have taken place. But I think there.
You know, he's he's a pro, and he's going to
correct that. And so I don't think people have to
be too worried. Having said that, you go against the defense.

(45:44):
And I thought Minnesota, as bad as their offense was,
I thought their defense really was pretty good in the beginning,
really pretty good in that game, and then all of
a sudden they got away from him. But they have to,
you know, he the offensive line, we got to prevent
him him from getting pressured so much, you know. And
sometimes I watch some stuff and they guys are pulling

(46:06):
it up front and they're they're just missing, and so
that has to be corrected. And it wouldn't surprise me
if there was some changes, little changes up front. But
that's that's the one thing that can help your quarterback
because if he's getting hit a lot, that's in his mind.
I don't care who you are, you get hit a lot,
that's in your mind, and so he's got to overcome that.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Rashid Shihed, actually before we go to that, we'll go
back to that what you said in for a second.
Would you consider this late in the season making a
change on the offensive line maybe specific you know, if
and when we see Jalensendell back on the lineup at center.
He also played a lot of guard. I feel like,
oh the Timmy's played. Okay, maybe I'm wrong, but would
you think about maybe sliding Sundell over to the right

(46:49):
guard position or would you let Christian Hayes played some snaps?
I think he had twenty one snaps on Sunday at
that right guard position. He started the year on the
injured list, But would you consider making it? It feels
like guard is the position of need right now?

Speaker 8 (47:02):
Yeah? Right there. That's that They're a little inconsistent there,
And based on what I know about Mike and how
he approaches things, it would not surprise me, you know,
if they did they tinkered with that just a little bit,
because you know, look, everyone's trying real hard, but sometimes
if it's not working, you've got to figure out how
we're going to do this. How are we going to

(47:24):
help help him be the quarterback he can be get
the running game going. The running game actually looked pretty
good on Sunday, But the quarterback's going to be the
guy that gets you there. And so it wouldn't surprise
me at all. And if they if they made some
changes up there.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
Michael, I'm joining us.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
He was asked McDonald's asked about Rashid Shiheat who you know,
they obviously brought in the trade with New Orleans. He's
played four games for Seattle. In those four games, he
has four catches for thirty seven yards. The long was
twenty one yards along the way. He's also they've used
him in the running back or kind of out of
the backfield a couple of times. He's got five carries
for thirty six yards as well.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
So he's got a.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
Couple carries and there he had one ten yard game.
But you know, we've seen his explosiveness. Maybe in the
return game. I think we could say that we've seen
a couple decent returns in the platinate kickoff returns along
the way. But as far as the offense for a
receiver coming in, even if he's familiar, Mike with the
terminology or the offense, is it fair to say there

(48:27):
was going to be a little bit of a learning
curve for Rashidi he or should we expect more production
out of him at this point?

Speaker 8 (48:33):
No, I think it's fair to say. I mean, everyone
coaches that position differently, every team. You know, it's I
would precision at the wide receiver position. They're not just
running around, you know. I sound get run down there
and get open. There are certain things that are taught
to receivers and every team might do it a little differently,
and so he has to come in and learn that,

(48:56):
you know. And he's got a great speed. I mean,
he is a threat. But Horton, you know, was doing
a great job before he got hurt. Now I expect
this guy to pick up the slack and and along
those lines. Though you know Sam's numbers, they're not they
didn't have the ball a lot, you know. It's it's
just that they were they were not great on third

(49:17):
downs and against Minnesota, and they only threw for one
hundred I forget how many yards, forty yards or something, right,
And so if you're the third receiver, which he is,
you might not see the ball that much. But as
far as talent and as far as putting a little
fear into the opponent's defense, you know, if they can

(49:39):
get him the ball, uh, then then they're going to
be much more effective.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
I think we've talked about this a lot though.

Speaker 1 (49:45):
Okay, now we're talking about Rashid shi He Before that
we talked a little bit about Tory Horton. Cooper Cup
has had a fairly quiet year, but we know what
Cooper hut cups all about. It feels like if there's
a go to spot, they'll, you know, third and three,
they're going to throw it him for five yards.

Speaker 8 (49:57):
Right.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
He knows exactly what to do. You get what you
get out of Cooper. Uh.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
But whether be Shahid or Horton, I think the number
is around forty seven percent of the Seahawks offensive productions
coming right now from JSN. Now, we saw him not
put up big numbers for the first time this year
against Minnesota the other day.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
I guess with the defense they didn't need it.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
But you know, is it sustainable to just keep leaning
on number eleven game in and game out?

Speaker 8 (50:22):
I wouldn't you know what he is? He is really
a great player, and I've been talking all and that.
If I was going against him, then you talk to
your defensive guys that go, Okay, if we're going to
stop somebody, this is the guy we're going to try
and stop, and someone else is gonna beat us if
that's the way it happens. You know, Bill Belichick was
famous for that taking away your number one guy, right,

(50:47):
and then the rest of the defense is just going
to play and we'll see what happens. And I think
it's really important, and so is it sustainable? I'm not,
I don't, you know, I'd like to see more of it.
The defense is, oh good, you don't have to see
a lot more. But spreading the ball around, you know,
cuts the good receiver, get him the ball a little bit.

(51:07):
The tight ends seem to be getting more.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
Barner's played well, Barnes taking a big ya, he.

Speaker 8 (51:12):
Really has, and so but I think you're going to
see more and more people taking trying to take Jim
out of the game or at least limit his productivity.
And that should that works pretty well, you know for that.
The other team's.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Defense, yeah, it's it's listen there, it's hard to shoot
holes anything they're doing right now with the record right there, right,
they're not in three. But I think you know, you
see games like last week, they're a little frustrating. Offensively,
You're like, like, let's let's let's get it going. I mean,
luckily the kicker has been really good lately. But you know,
the threes not what you want. You want six is

(51:48):
not threes is? Don James used to famously say, right,
so you don't know you want to see you want
to see those along the way, Mike Cobrad joining us
right now. The Yeah, I just I'm just curious, like
the whole running game thing, that Bradford thing, I mean,
do you put a Christian Haynes in there?

Speaker 2 (52:02):
Is that? Is it just him? You know? Right?

Speaker 1 (52:06):
One offensive weak point on the way, if you have
one clearing weakness on the offensive line, that one fifth
of the offense, that could that could destroy the whole thing,
can't it?

Speaker 8 (52:15):
Yeah? I can't. And well can I make things a
lot harder? And uh, you know you saw it a
little bit in the game. I thought I saw it
on the film. They were running a pass play and
or or and and the right guard pulled to the
left was supposed to hit the rushing defensive end. And

(52:35):
this just was looking someplace else, you know, And remember
the play and and and Sam got hit and may
he may have fumbled in that play. But you can't
that you know, you go in in the me, this
can't happen. This can't happen. So let's fix this. How
do we fix it? If we can't fix it, then
I'm going to fix it another way, and that's by

(52:57):
making some changes.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Mike.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
I had Nick emon Worri came in and we had
an interview with him. Today ran in the one o'clock
hour the show Fun guy to talk to you, like,
really fun guy. It's a really engaging young man. Really
fun to talk to boy. He really he had this
attitude and it was, you know, he's smiling. I asked
him about, you know, like being compared to Kyle Hamilton
and Cam Chancellor, and he's like, yeah, he goes, it's great,

(53:19):
he goes, I'm a different player than then. He's probably
more like Kyle Hamilton than he is Cam, even though
the body types are really similar along the way.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
But I love the attitude.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
The thing I've liked about him, And I know you
guys talked about this on The Money Money Quarterback Show
a few times. It really truly feels because I introduced
him as I think I introduced him to something along
the lines of Seahawk rookie defensive back, nickelback, linebacker, safety,
except you know, right, like because he's playing all these positions.
But I think, don't you got to give credit to

(53:48):
the defensive staff. I mean, they're finding a way to
use this guy, I guess, is what I'm trying to say.
And he doesn't really fit in a box. And those
types of unique players sometimes coaches can find a spot.
Sometimes they try to fit this the square pigging the
round hole, and in this case, it feels like it's
the other way around. They've done a really nice job
of utilizing his unique body type and talents.

Speaker 8 (54:07):
I think you have to get You have to give
Mic and the staff a lot of credit for the
defense because they do a lot. They're doing a lot
of different things. It's not like they're calling, you know, uh,
three man front, four man front cover three. They're doing
all sorts of stuff, and they're they're making it very
difficult for the other team's offense. And you know, give

(54:28):
him credit because that's that's hard to do. And for
a young guy to come in and perform like he's performed,
I think is a real credit to the organization. And
that's why, you know, and now I believe they're going
to get love back, aren't they? This week?

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Yeah? Hopefully.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
He kind of stopped short really of saying he's going
to play, but he's getting close.

Speaker 8 (54:46):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, he's getting close. And so he was.
I thought he was the leader of that secondary and
really a good player for them. So if they get
some of the guys healthy again, then you know, but
they keep ubstituting people in and putting people in right
places for different calls and different blitzes and all sorts
of stuff, then that's a real credit to the to

(55:09):
the coaching staff.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
I just think it's yeah, I think it's I mean,
you've talked to young coaches over the years, it feels
like as a coach, if you're not flexible, right, if
you're not a flexible and kind of open minded, you
can get yourself in trouble. But I know there's probably
you've probably run across guys with the years, right, they say, no,
this is the way we're gonna play. Doesn't matter what
the you know, what what our talents are, what our
personnel looks like, what our what our strengths are, we're

(55:33):
gonna play. I mean, for the if he was listening,
he'll get mad at me for being so simplistic. But
you know, we're gonna play a four to three and
that's the way.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
That's the way. It's gonna be We're gonna.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Have a Mic and a Sam and a will linebacker
and two defensive ends and two defensive tackles, and that's
how we're gonna play. And they're all gonna look like
they're supposed to look, and the way we go like
you've probably seen coaches like that, right, and you got
to say, hey, wait a second, maybe we should switch
to this because we have these talents there.

Speaker 2 (55:56):
I would think that's part of coaching.

Speaker 8 (55:58):
Yeah, it absolutely isart of coaching, unless unless you have
the best players in the world playing for you. I
remember the New York Giants with when Lawrence Taylor and
Banks and all those guys Jim Burton and Harry Carson
and they they weren't very complicated. And if you remember

(56:19):
the Seahawks and the Legion of Boom, they weren't very complicated.
But all those guys knew that there were no mistakes
made right, and they were all good enough to get
it done without messing around with a lot of movement
and things like that. They weren't trying to fool you.
They just said we're gonna be you. You come and get us,
and we're going to shut you down. And so but

(56:40):
if you don't have that, if you can't do that,
you had better be able to adjust and recognize that
in yourself. That's what the coach does.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
It's interesting you say that.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
I've heard that a few times just going back that
those because I mean, these this defense this year, people
are starting to make comparisons. They're different, that the players
are different, the way they play is different. But there
was a lot of that with with those leads in
the Boom defenses. Right, weren't they pretty basic? But they
just had better players and they had better attitudes than
everybody they were playing against.

Speaker 8 (57:11):
They were Yeah, that's that was right, I didn't you know,
and watching them play, they were clearly you know, they
were a great defensive team. But they didn't mess around.
I mean they were in those days too, if you remember.
At least I felt this way that it was much
harder that they don't. They're calling past interference now with
hand checks and different things, way more way more than

(57:33):
they did with that group. That group mauled you, you know,
and then they I'd say, boy, they got away with
one there, but they didn't call the game the same
way as as they're doing it now. So maybe they
maybe that was that was part of their success, but
they didn't. They didn't. Yeah, they didn't mess around a lot.
You know.

Speaker 1 (57:51):
I was like, it wasn't just kind of a four
to three, you know, with the nickel every now and
then and the two safeties that one would play center
field and in earl and where you went right and
just uh.

Speaker 8 (58:00):
Yeah, well you talk about now they talk about playing
nickel and dime personnel. But then some of the guys
are looked at as small linebackers more larger safeties. So
what do you call them? You know what I mean?
You know they're in there, they're they're they're doing different
things with those guys. And if you have players like

(58:21):
that and can do that, man, you're you got your
tough to you're tough to deal with.

Speaker 1 (58:27):
Well, it's funny you say that because you know we,
like I said, even where he was in here, uh
sat down with him. I mean, he's an impressive looking athlete,
you know, every bit of six three sixty four well
two hundred pounds, and you know he's playing safety slash
nickel back, what have you. And I was watching a
little bit of practice and Drake Thomas, the linebacker Number
forty two comes walking by and I looked over kind

(58:48):
of glance over looked at him, and I said, oh,
whoa that is that's an NFL linebacker. He's like five
maybe five ten Mike, maybe five to ten and maybe
I don't know what they listened, and we can probably
see it. He's probably closer to two ten than he
is the two twenty right, and he's a and he's
an NFL linebacker. And I'm like looking at this guy, going,
how are you an NFL linebacker? But you know what,

(59:09):
he's played really well, like and they found.

Speaker 8 (59:11):
A plot for him. Oh, you know, he has played
really well and he's really been good rushing the passer
and finding those gaps and then he's a load for
a back to pick up. I mean, he's a strong,
tough kid and and and so he's been very effective
that way. But he wasn't here typical. So they say, okay,
I have this, we have this linebacker here, and he's

(59:31):
not he's not two hundred and forty pounds, he's not
you know, yeah, how can we use him? How can
we use them? And they they they appear to be
doing exactly the right thing, not along with him, but
with a number of the players.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
Yeah, he's and I'm just looked up, so he's he's
listed at five eleven to twenty eight. I'm going to
say they're giving him some some leeway on both those things.

Speaker 8 (59:54):
You know.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
But he was, i mean, undrafted free agent released by
the Vegas in twenty twenty three. SOT claimed him right
off the gate, going he's been here ever since, and
you know, played a lot of special teams and now
he's getting a chance to actually play play And it's
just I mean, it's I I love watching the guy.
I think he's but when he walked by me today,
I was kind of startled, like, oh, like I'm you know,
listen for all those years, here's kJ Wright comes walking out.

(01:00:16):
You know, he's six', four He's Bobby, Wagoner Bobby wagner
looks like. That how do you build a middle? Linebacker,
well he looks Like Bobby, wagner, Right that's how he.
Looks that's WHY i like about this. Team they're little
bit off keel in that. Regard they don't they don't
look that. Way they don't they.

Speaker 8 (01:00:30):
Don't look and that's why we give credit give credit
to To mike, mcconnald because you know they're good players
and he's willing to stick them in there and get
him going and depending on and they they they they've
done a good job for. Him they relished the opportunity

is running the show and he is definitely afraid of.
Her but a's we all are of our signs pretty
much very much along the. Way but, Yeah, no He's.

(01:04:46):

Go glad you're with.

Speaker 5 (01:04:53):
Us it's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and
the ten thousand dollars grand. Prize It's fact Door, fiction
probably presented By Lucky Eagle casino And hotel where every
day feels. Lucky Fact Door fiction is On Sports radio
ninety three point THREE KJR.

Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Fm Al, right it is time For Factor. Fiction it's
brought to you by The Lucky Eagle casino And hotel
where every day feels. Lucky we're gonna wait thousand dollars every,
week ten thousand our grand.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Prize as simple as. That how do you win?

Speaker 1 (01:05:26):
It, well you'll text factor fiction when we give you
a pick to, four, nine four or five. One if you,
agree you're gonna text. Fact if you, disagree you're gonna
text fiction my. PICK i Think i'm Staying Championship. Weekend Championship,
weekend let's stay with. IT i don't think that this
is the game that is going to cause an uproar

(01:05:47):
and issues along the. Way in The College Football. PLAYOFF
i think it's gonna go. CHOCK i think it's gonna
be an easy win For. Virginia virginia minus three and
a half Against duke fact four nine four or five.
One if you, disagree fiction four nine four or five.
One But virginia minus three and a half fact four

(01:06:08):
nine four five to. One anders And jess are, saying
why why would you get? Whining, well they played just
a couple of weeks, ago if you, remember and that
was a very easy AND i mean a very easy
win for The cavaliers Of. Virginia never trailed in the
game thirty four to, seventeen led by as many as

(01:06:30):
twenty eight in the. Game as, Well duke decent offense
did nothing in that game two hundred and fifty five
yards of total. Offense, Meanwhile virginia they're running back eighteen,
carries one hundred and thirty three yards and a couple.
Touchdowns Jamari, taylor you watched and, Play, jess you know
he's pretty. Good, Yeah parison wide receiver had one hundred
and sixty one. Yards their Coach Tony elliott done a

(01:06:53):
great job this. Season second ever appearance in THE acc
championship game by the, way For. Virginia But duke isn't.

Speaker 9 (01:07:00):
Good, YEAH i was gonna, say not thought That duke
would be in the A cec championship.

Speaker 4 (01:07:05):
Game not.

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
Me it's here's the.

Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
Thing basketball does seven and five team winning some weird
ass acc, tiebreaker like they have no business being.

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
THERE i know. Somewhere MJ's going right on, Man, miami.

Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
Listen it's just not, good, Man it's just it's just not.
Good by the, way that that game was In durham,
too so that that whooping they put on. Him so, yeah,
this this is, This this to me seems like a
really really low spread at three and a half, points.

Speaker 6 (01:07:40):
Like they're gonna almost too much sense.

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
This, Yeah AND i just DON'T i JUST i can't see.
IT i don't think any of us see.

Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
IT i think that that's not the game that's going
to cause upheaval in the in the college football playoff.
Rankings If duke does, win there's a chance they don't
even play for The College football in The College Football
playoffs as seven and five because, theyreunner they're not gonna get.
In so like it's just it's their. Motivation, yeah winning
AN acc title sort. OF i Guess virginia is. Motivating

(01:08:10):
virginia knows it can get somewhere that they probably never
fathom getting as a basketball, school and that's The college football.

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
Playoffs SO i think it's a second ten win season
they've ever. HAD i do Believe i'm not. Mistaken but,
Yeah virginia Roles virginia minus three and a. Half fact four,
nine four to five. One if you, disagree fiction four
nine four or five to. One but this seems to
be no.

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
Brainer and you're asking yourself, Why, well a thousand Dollars
We'll be prize.

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
Will be given away On monday next.

Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Week ten thousand dollars grand prize and play for a
lot of you. Guys everyone's texting in right now and
making sure you get your picks in because every pick's
going to. Matter and, oh by the, Way andrews refreshed my.
Memory how many games in a row has our show?

Speaker 9 (01:08:44):
Won eight in a? Row and that's nine that's Through monday's.
Game so we had all four last, week and then
three or, sorry all three last, week and then four
of the week before, that and Then Ian's Monday Night
Football fact and then Hopefully jess won hers, yesterday but
we won't find Out Uti lao this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
Weekend yeah she's Got, yeah she Picked buffalo minus five
and a. Half. PAY i like that a lot. Too
THAT'S i think that's the number that'll be what nine
in a row at that?

Speaker 6 (01:09:09):
Point, yes, this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
This would be lucky number ten two.

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
More this week we finish off with a little twelve
game Winning street put some pressure on some.

Speaker 6 (01:09:16):
People why the hell.

Speaker 1 (01:09:17):
Not here's the, thing As jackson was going crazy in
the day thinking how they're gonna have to pick opposite
trying to catch the morning, show like they have a
chance to do.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
That they.

Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
Don't they'd have to be perfect this week and hope
the morning show doesn't. WIN i, mean it's the magic
number Four morning shows. One he's, like, well we got
we gotta pick against. Him, well actually had a great pick.
Today she Took seattle minus six and. HALF i wanted
that game. BADLY i should have taken. It, WELL i
gotta win him on day so didn't. Matter BUT i
love that, pick especially Because Drake lennon looks like he's
not gonna play. Again, yeah like easy, pick BUT i

(01:09:51):
will be curious BECAUSE i do believe looking at the schedule.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Here it's A jackson pick. Today let's see if he
let's see he Go.

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
Atlanta let's see if he Goes atlanta because he said
to catch, them they've got to go, opposite.

Speaker 6 (01:10:03):
Right or either that they go Nor New orleans plus
eight Against. Tampa oh, yeah that's.

Speaker 4 (01:10:11):
RIGHT i.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
THINK i think if you've really got the, stones you
go Opposite.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
Ashley, YEAH i think so. Too put it, Upper shut up, time,
fella let's do. It, meanwhile all of a, sudden they're
gonna wake Up monday morning and look and, go what?

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Happened how? Come howcome The Ferness show just got right to?

Speaker 4 (01:10:27):
Us how that?

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
Happened, YEAH i don't. Know Toll street. Wins that's how it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
Happened virginia minus three and a half fact four nine
four five one Against virginia minus three and a Half
fact four nine four five. One text in right Now
factor fiction brought to Bed Lucky, Eagle casino And. Hotel
we'll come Back casey missed. Earlier we're not gonna get softy.
Today i'll get a little bit a little my favorite
cut today from Nick Emon.

Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
Warri we'll have that forty next.

Speaker 5 (01:10:50):
From THE r AND R foundation specialist broadcast. Studio now
back To Ian fernez powered By Seattle's Closest sports, Book
snow Call Me ca see You know What hotel on
Sports Radio nutty three point three kJ R.

Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
Fl because the genius Of mike McDonald that he brings
a guy like you in that maybe doesn't fit into the,
box like this is what a this is what a
safety or nickel or whatever should look. Like to find
a guy like you say that's a unique talent and
make it work for. You is that kind of what
Makes mike McDonald's such a good coach in your.

Speaker 4 (01:11:24):
MIND i think it's a little bit of.

Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
BOTH i Think, mike you, know he is my FIRST nfl,
coach but from all the guys and just being around
him myself, personally like he's probably like one of the
smartest Coaches i've ever. Had like he's like, real he's
into the, game like he really he's. Not he's the real.
Deal SO i think it's a little bit of. Both
for just learning how, to you, know use my talent
and he's done it.

Speaker 4 (01:11:43):
Before and he just.

Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
Knows AND i Think i'm like a mismatch positionless type of,
Player like you, know they don't know what you, know
if the count him And nickel or DO i? Count
Is Big nickel running? Dom like what do they? Do
they count me in a run? Game do they not
count me in a run? Game do they block?

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Me do they?

Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
Not so it's kind of giving team a hard time
to like figure out what to do with me and
how to attack me and like try to get around.
Me so it just makes us a better defense at
all when you can't really tell like who's out, there you,
know just like how, offenses you, know they get a
giant to like throw the ball and they all their
tight ends can line up a receiver or.

Speaker 4 (01:12:15):
Whatever it's kind of like the same thing we're doing on,
defense like you, know we're real.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Multiple that's Nick Emon warri who was with me earlier
today here at The Virginia Mason Athletics.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
Center, MAN i had a ton of fun talking to.
HIM i hope you guys enjoyed the.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
Interview he was first Time i've talked to him and,
engaging really articulate young. Man really fun to talk to.
YOU i got one more for it and we'll talk
about it on This like this was my favorite when
he talks about being playing.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
Physical you like to play. Physical you like to play
in the, box don't.

Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
You, YEAH i like playing in the box, especially you,
know it's. FUN i, know you got to attack. Guys
you can't shy away from, smoke you, know especially in
a perimeter. GAME i love when they try to like
put dudes out there to block me AND i blow up,
screens like you, KNOW i take. THAT i take that.
PERSON i take that as a challenge when they try
to put dudes out there to especially wide. Receiver, yeah,
wire see you can't do, that you. KNOW i take
that super. Personal but you, know WHENEVER i get my

(01:13:04):
opportunities in the deep back into the, field you, know
play that deep safety and get those angles out the
cat's dudes lacking and, Stuff i'll Be i'll be ready
for that, too And i'll be looking for that. Too
but as far as right, NOW i know just the
Position i'm, in you, know, yet like you gotta be
more physical down, there you, know playing with the front
seven a little bit and different coverages and, stuff knowing
when to shoot, gaps known when you got to take
on the, line and know you can blow stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
Up so it's been fun just doing. Everything really.

Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
WHAT i AND i, said the funny thing is like
the difference between him and, say you, know he gets
compared to Camp chance for a. LOT i get That
cam was as serious as the day was long and.
GOOD i, mean, Listen cam was is accommodating AND i
mean just laid back, guy but he was. Serious and this.

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
Guy had a bright smile on his face the whole.
Time but when he was talking And andrews.

Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
And jess about the the you, know the wide receivers
were getting put out to block on. Him, yeah and
he just he took that. Personally when he says you
can't do, that he had a look in AT i,
like just. Pissed BUT i think it's a reflection of this.
Defense you, KNOW i understand the comparisons to The legion

(01:14:10):
of Boom day's defense because of the numbers and how
dominant they are at times this year and everything. ELSE
i mean that The Tampa bay not game, NOTWITHSTANDING i
understand those just a very different.

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
Defense you.

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
KNOW i thought it was Interesting holmebrun's. Perspective and we've
heard this. Before What seattle did back then was pretty.
Basic they just lined up and say here's here's who we.
Are beat us and you can't because we have better.
Players this team has great, players really good. PLAYERS i
don't just thinking, HERE i don't want to slight. Anybody
there's nobody on this defense that screams right, now two

(01:14:46):
or three years into their career or ten years into their.
Career what have you? Like surefire hall of. Famer seattle
Had hall of. Famers Bobby wagner is A hall Of,
Famer Richard sherman is A hall Of. Famer Earl thomas
is a Borderline hall Of. Famer he's a finalist, again semi,
finals so he's in the conversation to be A hall Of.
Famer you, Know mike And cliff were Perennial Pro bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Guys on the.

Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
Edge they had incredibly good. Players this team doesn't have
as maybe high end of, talent but and they played
differently this, schematically it's differently. Everything but they do have
that attitude that you want from a great. Defense and
you heard it from the rookie right. There it's, like,
YEAH i take offense to. That don't be doing that to.
Me you don't throwing that stuff out at, Me LIKE
i don't even think about doing that to me as.
Well SO i do love that along the. Way he

(01:15:27):
was a fun guy to talk. To love watching him.
Play he loves playing, here he loves playing in front
of The, twelves AND i think he's he and that
defense one of the big reasons why The twelves have come.
Back we're not hearing about the Lumen field fans getting
taken over by othersposing fans. Anymore it's it's really kind
of been fun to see the evolution and his he.
Said Credit mike, McDonald As Mike holgan, said Credit mike.

(01:15:49):
McDonald mike McDonald has done a hell of a job
with this football team in every, way shape and. Form,
okay let's me Tase softy. Show they are coming up

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
