a guy on a three twice down the stretch. I
cast him the game ten o' run by udub at
the end, but UCLA was able to hold on. Little
Mick Cronin, Remember Mick Cronin from last year. He's crying
and whining, didn't like to travel after Seattle. Mick Cronin

(00:50):
all right, Seattle torn of the p WHL took down

Early in the season, finally somebody scored a home team,
scored a goal, come and played aer in. It have
been a while. Next up, I got a few weeks

(01:11):
named the Seahawks Walter Payton Man of the Year award
winner and the running down for the leagu's Man of
the Year where he may play on Sunday. We'll talk
about about about that with Corbin in a second. Let's see,
I'm gonna skip down here. Oh, portal seasons underway. Did
you guys know that Jackson Potter transferring from Washington State
into the portal? I guess it's gonna take all those

(01:31):
interceptions somewhere else. Good, how far to see it? Let's
get to Corbyn Smith.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
It's time to take a deep dive into all things
Seahawks with Corbyn Smith, sports reporter for Emerald City Spectrum.
All Seattle Sports, all the time, brought to you by
Jim Elliott with Windemere Real Estate, helping home buyers and
home sellers in Western Washington.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Now with Gorbyn Smith, here's.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
He and bitter petty me. Not at all. Really, I
could never tell, but you know what, I would just
advise Jackson Potter to whatever he does. Don't let anybody
see the Texas State game tape because unless you want
to go listen, Coach Samburg will take you, probably whitworth
right now. You can go play D three. They've been
winning titles every year, so you can go do that

(02:24):
up there. But yeah, you think you want to power five, buddy? Okay,
Corbas Smith joins us right now. Hello sir, how are you?
I'm good, Thanks for me as always. All right, buddy,
let's get to it. Julian Love just named the Walter
Payton Man of the Year for the Seahawks nominee for
the League Award as well. Also in the news conference,
talking about whether or not he's going to play this weekend,
a quote of plans in place. I'm gonna ask you this.

(02:48):
I know every week's tough, it's the NFL and all that.
Do you really need Julian love against Atlanta Corbyn.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Look, if they have any doubts about where he's at
or they think he needs another week, then you do it.
And that's not that's not taking a shot at the
Atlanta Falcons. I think even if you were playing against
somebody like say the Rams, you would have to you
just look soft tissue injuries you don't want to mess with.
And if you have any concerns that he's gonna need

(03:17):
a little bit more time, you do it. Especially because look,
you've got Taya Kata who's playing good football. You have
Quandre Diggs now on your practice squad that you can elevate.
They have guys in place that they can get by
for another week if they need to.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
If he has a really good week at practice, then
the Seahawks don't have a difficult decision to make. They
can get him ready to play on Sunday. But if
they have any hesitation, then if I, at least if
I was in the coaching staff, I would be saying, look,
we're gonna hold out one more week and we're gonna
make sure you're here for the last last four games.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Cormyn a few days later, heading into Atlanta. But after
the game against Minnesota, the twenty six nothing shut out, Jackson,
Smith and Jigmud didn't do much in that game offensively.
The offense frankly didn't have to do anything. When you
pitch a shutout, I have a pick six and all
the other things. But in a general sense, where are

(04:12):
we with this team in your mind right now? NFL
dot Com, I think him has the number two in
the power rankings and so forth. What for you are
the things that would say, yeah, they're probably the second
best team in the NFL, And what are some things
that would be red flags and say, hey, I'm not
quite sure if I'm ready to go there yet.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Yeah, the defense is easily the biggest reason why number
two seems just about right. I mean, they're getting outstanding
play at all three levels.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
They've had injuries that it has not mattered.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
They just have guys that step in and continue to
play at a high level.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
They have great depth.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
The scheme that Mike McDonald runs is fantastic, and now
guys in year two Eli he has a year two
with him. It just seems like everything is coming together
on that side of the football. They have a Super
Bowl with caliber defense. So from that perspective at number two,
and I even think the run game is starting to
show signs of life. We're not looking at four straight

(05:08):
games the Seahawks have had one hundred plus rushing yards.
That's the longest streak they've had this entire season. So
even though it's not, you know, a perfect run game,
and there's still a lot of work to do in
that front, they're improving there.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I think the.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Biggest question mark is is the offensive line going to
be able to continue to play the way they did
the first eight or nine games the season. Because we've
seen a little bit of regressional teams are getting more
aggressive going after Sam Darnold and quick Kubiak hasn't necessarily
shown that he has been the most adept at making
adjustments when that happens.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
So can they get that passing.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Game back close to hubbing where it was at with
this improving run game. If they can do that, then
this is absolutely a Super Bowl contender. If the passing
game keeps stalling out and flatlining, I don't know if
this ceiling is getting past the first or second.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Run out of the postseason. I mean, when you just
look at the standings, Corbyn. The craziest thing is is
how this could all shake out. You know, right San
Francisco sitting as a seventh seed right now would play
La the Rams in the first round. Seattle and Tampa.
I'm like, if you don't win the division, but you
go to Tampa, I like that matchup. What about you?

(06:20):
I know they lost to him earlier this year, but
I like this Seattle team what I'm seeing right now
better than that team that saw Tampa back in September
or I guess early October.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Yeah, and both these teams are different than when they
played in that game. Seattle had I believe three starters
in the secondary that were out. Tampa Bay's had a
bunch of injuries since that game. On offense, they have
not looked anything remotely close to the team that came
to Seattle. So look, I would think to see Auks
had a really good chance if they had played in

(06:48):
Tampa Bay. And then with the way this team plays
on the road in general, it might be one of
those few teams and say, hey we're fine being a
wild card. We can go somewhere else and play really
good football. So the chance to get that number one
seed It's been a long time since we've been talking
about the Seattle Seahawks this late in the season, having
an opportunity to get that top seed. Everything is in

(07:10):
front of him to get that coveted bye week and
have home field advantage at Loumenfield.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
It is Cormus Smith joining US Emerald City Spectrum, Emberal
City Spectrum dot com. We had Nicki min Worry on
the show yesterday. He joineds out the Virginia Mason Athletics Center.
He joined me and sat down for a while, and
first of all, a ton of fun to talk to
this guy, really engaging young man. I was just impressed
by him all the way around. And he's got a
little bit of I was walking out with Curtis Crabtree

(07:36):
from Fox thirteen. On the way out he's and we
were talking about him. He goes, you know the thing
about even where he is interesting, He's very engaging. He's
very confident, borderline arrogant, which I kind of like from
a dB. You've watched this guy's his training camp, you
watched his tape coming out of college. You see him now,
how he's evolving. Where is he now compared to where
he was on tape in college, through training camp, and
obviously health is a big part of it. But where

(07:58):
is this kid right now in terms of what he
means to that scale defense?

Speaker 4 (08:02):
The crazy thing is in he is still I don't
even know if he's scratching the surface yet, like that's
the kind of talent that we are talking about. But
he is becoming more and more comfortable with his coverage assignments.
That was maybe the biggest thing I was noticing when
he came back from the ankle injuries.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
There were a few times where you'd.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Look out there and it felt like he might not
necessarily be sure.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
On what he's supposed to do.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
There's some complexities to the way that the Hawks run
their coverage and didn't necessarily pay for it with big
plays over the top or anything. But there were sometimes
you could tell that he was kind of unsure and
he was out a position that's becoming less and less
visible on film. He is a very natural blitzer, which
South Carolina did not do that with him very much.

(08:46):
But Mike McDonald sure is he's letting him loose. He's
letting him get after the quarterback. And you don't talk
about a guy that can blow up screens. I mean,
he has been decapitating lead walkers on screens this year.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
And the play that really jumped out to me.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Ian You may remember the Washington game, and we know
how many times Deebo sam over the years has killed
the Seahawks with his after the catch capability and breaking tackles.
Nicki min Worri was getting blocked and reached out with
one arm and brought him down for like a two
yard loss on a screen, Like I don't know that
I've ever seen anybody do that to Deebo Samuel. That's

(09:22):
the kind of player that we're talking about here. You
can tell that he's playing with a lot of confidence,
and I think maybe the most exciting thing is you
can tell all the veteran players now they're really trying
to further pick him up because they know just how
good he can be with all the pieces they've already
got in this defense. So that's a scary thing. Again,
I don't even know if he's scratching the surface. There

(09:44):
is an incredibly high ceiling that probably goes to another
galaxy with this kid with his physical tool.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
I agree really excited to watch watch what he could
be doing in the next couple of years.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
I'll say this, and I've said this on a couple
of podcasts, so this is the first time that I've
said it. And look, I maybe I'll look foolish down
the line, but I'm still saying that Nick even Worri
is going to be wearing a gold jacket.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I am saying that right now.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I have been saying that since training camp opened and
I got my first look at this kid. I think
that's the kind of ceiling we're looking at with Nicki
min Worri.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Let me let me ask you about a guy the
other end of the spectrum. We're still waiting to see
Rashid Shihed break out four games, four catches. Obviously it's
part of the return game as well. What do they
need to do to get him more involved? And can
they get him more involved? It feels like it's a
necessity at some point.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yeah, they're going to have to have that secondary weapon
that has the ability to win downfield, especially with Tory
Horton not being healthy right now. I think that's been
a really significant loss for this offense, not having Tory
Horton out there. I think the biggest issue is just
been trying to get chemistry built up in the middle
of the season between Sam Darnald and Chet. It's not

(10:54):
like he hasn't been getting open.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
There was that.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Touchdown that should have happened in La that Donald didn't
quite put enough air under, and it was a really
good play by Emmanuel Forbes too. But I just keep
waiting because I feel like there's gonna be It feels
like a volcano with this kid right now. It feels
like it's brewing. It's brewing, it's brewing. I'm just waiting
for that eruption. Maybe it happens this weekend against a

(11:19):
familiar foe. He has played a lot of games against
the Atlanta Falcons. Maybe this is the week that.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
We see Rashid Shaheed break loose.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
But it just feels like it is a matter of
time till that's gonna be happening.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Should Seattle be concerned at all about Atlanta this weekend?

Speaker 4 (11:34):
The only reason that I would say yes is because
of their run game. I think Bijon Robinson and Tyler
Algier are as good of a win two punch you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Find in the league.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
If Atlanta can run the ball and they can get
Kirk Cousins some play action opportunities. They've got a solid
pass rush on defense. If Atlanta gets some points early,
that can play into that. But Seattle should win this game.
I don't think that this is that dangerous of a team,
especially without Drake London. It looks like he's not going
to be back this week. They're hurting at the skill

(12:04):
positions on the outside now too.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
All right, if you are a fan of any or
all of the following Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, Sounders, Storm Huskies, Cougar's, Gonzaga,
Sea Wolves, Rain, Torrent, any of those teams you're a
fan of or all of those teams or a lot
of those teams, Emerald City Spectrum, tell us about what
you got going on right now.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Yeah, we've been adding a few new teams to the mix. Literally,
you are getting all Seattle sports all the time. We've
got some Torrent content that's on the site. We're going
to be adding some Seattle RedHawks basketball to the equation
here soon. I mean, and nextally got a pretty good
team this year. They've already knocked off Stanford and I
believe they're six and two now this season, So we're

(12:48):
really excited every Cityspectrum dot com. And you know we
truly do offer everything in Seattle sports and just six
dollars a month. In fact, you through tomorrow night. You
can get the first month for one dollar. It's our
cyber Monday week sale.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Great stuff, my friend, go check it out Emerald City Spectrum,
Emeraldcityspectrum dot com. We'll talk to you next week, sir,
Thank you, thanks and take care. That's our guy Corbin
Smith joining us here on the Beacon Plumbing Hotline. All right,
yesterday with signing Day day one is signing Day goes
through Friday. How did the Huskies do? How the Cooks do?
How the rest of the Big ten other schools across
the country do. We'll talk to our guy Brandon Huffin

(13:24):
coming up next.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
From the R and.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
R Foundation Specialist broadcast studio.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Now back to Ian FURNESZ powered by Seattle's closest sports
book Snow call me Casino and Hotel on Sports Radio
ninety three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
All right, welcome back in Sports Radio ninety three point
three KJRFM. Me infness with you this afternoon until three o'clock.
Don't forget Brendon Funston coming up all things fantasy football
two pm today, text at four nine, four to five
to one, those phone calls at two o'clock as well
final week of the regular season and fantasy football. But
joining me right now Beacon Plumbing Hotline. A tradition like
no other. It goes back to my days in Portland.

(14:06):
So we're talking twenty plus years. I think there was
like two or three websites and things and changes since then.
For my guy, Brendon Huffman, now twenty four to seven Sports,
the recruiting guru all things college football recruiting, joined us
for his annual and now it's say twice a year
visit for recruiting, since there's now two signing days. He's
with us right now. Hey, buddy, how are you.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
I'm doing all right. I mean, we have to change
traditions with the move, but we still cover recruiting. We
still covered it and I found a refreshment too.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Yeah, yeah, I gotta tell I gotta fillow people in it.
So you've had a tradition forever when you were and
they've been Brent. The Huffman family just moved down to Arizona.
There's some kids going to Arizona State and I don't
know why you don't like the weather here. It's beautiful today. Anyway,
you guys moved down to Arizona, and but before that,
you had a tradition every year once letter of intent

(14:56):
Day or signing day or whatever we're calling it. This
year was done. After you did all your media obligations,
your twenty four to seven sports stuff, came on KJR
and talked to me, what was your tradition.

Speaker 6 (15:06):
My tradition was to end the evening with a pint
or two of Manny's every single Sinny day. And it
just didn't feel right. It didn't feel right at all.
And I really missed an opportunity to have my daughter
from Seattle come down last week, and I should have
had a brimea growler, so I could have kept the tradition.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
You know people there, I know people there. We could
have made that happen. So next time she heads down
there for Christmas or whatever, let's do that. Because if
nobody likes his Manny's more than our guy Huffman who
joined us, Okay, it's over, right, first signing period, it's over.
We're done. You can just sit back and relax with
your feet up.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
I wish we still actually it's a signing period, and
so we still have until Friday, and there's still some
kind of outstanding commitments that have been made but signatures
haven't been submitted. Then we get a little bit of
a break until January second, when the portal officially opens.
Then we got two weeks of that. Then we go
back to the early signing day or the traditional signy
day first Wednesday of February in twenty twenty six. So

(16:03):
we're at the halfway point and waiting out some of
the drama that kind of sums up exactly where recruiting
and where college football is at in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Where is it at in twenty twenty five? Because this
isn't it. It's not just the two signing the ags.
It's all the portal stuff you got to deal with
now too. So where are we with all this? How
important is this signing period that started yesterday and ends
on Friday? How important is the next one? And the portal?

Speaker 7 (16:25):
Like?

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Where how would your rank all these basically kind of
three big things? Now?

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Yeah, I mean I would say the way that you
see programs that can get healthy really quick by making
great portal acquisitions has probably pushed the portal into at
least one a with the early signing period the traditional
signing day in February, that's a distant third. I mean,
it's very very few schools that'll be trying to find guys,
maybe some late guys that fill out their class, and

(16:51):
they'll have a better idea of that knowing what they
missed out on in the portal during those two weeks
in January, or who leaves in that time in two
weeks in January, So there may be some late offer,
But this one's still important. And the reason is is
because if you look at the teams that have competed
and won the national championship the last couple of years, Yeah,
they'd had a couple portal guys here and there, but
the majority of the nucleus of those teams and those

(17:11):
starters were homegrown guys that those schools recruited. So it's
still the most important part of the process is recruiting.
And what I also think you're going to see is
with revenue sharing, guys are getting locked into deals and
there are a lot more multi year deals than they
were before, so you're not seeing as many top thing
guys expected to go into the portal come January, as

(17:32):
there may have been in the previous couple of years
when there weren't maybe any bard rails in place. Now
guys are going to get better deals, more money if
they're committing to two or three years, if not longer.
So yesterday was still very important. You want your core
nucleus to be the guys that you recruited and develop.
But the portal is certainly closing the gap a bit,

(17:54):
especially for like the quick fix.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Help Brendan huffinv with his twenty four to seven Sports
I'm gonna get to Washington. Certainly Husky fans will get
to your thought hit Ren's thoughts on your class, the
other big ten schools that you care about. We'll get
some Wazoo thoughts in there as well, maybe even the
new Pac twelve as a whole. And Huff this is
a bigger discussion at some point. Maybe we'll do this

(18:16):
in the spring or even you know, later in the
winter time in February when the National title game's over.
So explain the folks the guardrails or the difference in
the portal now than the past years, and if that's
better or same or if it's improved the process at all.

Speaker 6 (18:33):
Well, you're always going to have situations where there's still
going to be a guy who is maybe playing at
a G five scool or at an FCS school that
realizes his value is going to increase because somebody's going
to be desperate for a quarterback. I mean, it was,
what the second or third game of the season, We're
watching Col's Darren cobbas on the Potelli go off, and
the tweets started firing out, Oh, there's Miami's quarterback for

(18:55):
twenty twenty six. It's him because Miami's done such a
horrible job of developing their own quarterbacks, but they've got
the deep pockets to go after Cam mord and a
Carson Beck, so they'll just let somebody else find them,
sign them, and develop them, and then they'll take them
when they're a finished product. So there's still gonna be
situations like that, but it's gonna be fewer and further between,
I believe, with maybe the exception of the quarterback position,

(19:19):
because I still think you're gonna have cases like a
trendy chamblist, a cam Ward that they were at a
FCS or a D two and work their way up,
and they were just talented no matter what. But I
think schools have become keen on the fact that if
you're at the G five, you aren't gonna ever have
the resources to compete with the power flour But if
you're a power four, you probably want to lock your
guys up a little bit longer and give them enticement

(19:42):
and reason to stay. And I think that it's not
any real god rails, Yeah right, the NCAA is not
putting any guardrails in. But I think it's more of
the schools are protecting themselves by making the deals a
little bit longer, a little bit more lucrative if you stay,
to keep guys from making the move year in and
year out. And I think you're also looking at cases
like Florida State in twenty twenty four where they were

(20:03):
heavy portal that year because they had success the year
before that, and they were a complete disaster because they
rely too much on the portal. Colorado is another current
case in point of that, and that why is still
important if you're not starting your program from scratch, like
in Indiana, you've got to really focus on the high
school recruits and developing those guys, Now you just got

(20:23):
to hope that you're a fan bases patient.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Well, the process though the portal itself opens what for
two weeks in January? Is that right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (20:31):
So the other gut rail up there, if you want
to call it that, is that they protected the schools
by only giving them one window. So instead of it
opening traditionally it had been the Monday after the conference
championship game, so it would have been next Monday, it's
now a two week window, and it's the only window
that exists. There's no other window in the middle of
April that opens up. It's you better go in in
that first week or two and you don't have to

(20:52):
necessarily find your school in that two week spand but
you have to go in the portal otherwise you better
hope your coach gets fired for some reason and you're
able to leave after that, because now the window has tightened,
and basically, if you don't go in, they and you
better have some great scenario and good Tom Marrs lawyership
to be able to get out of anything.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Brendan Huff in twenty four to seven Sports, there's what
what is it? Twenty five quarterbacks go to the Elite
eleven camp every year high school guys. Is that right?

Speaker 6 (21:18):
There's twenty that go to the finals and then from
there they name essentially a dozen that.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Are the best. Let's just say this, twenty five Elite
eleven quarterback school the best quarter high school quarterbacks in
the country. How many of those guys actually stay at
the same school, do you think?

Speaker 6 (21:31):
I mean, if you get half a class to stay,
that that's probably a win. I mean, you can go
back and look at some of the previous years and
those who have stayed have you know, for lack of
a better terms, have become champions. You know, in the
twenty twenty one class, you had a guy like Kayler Williams,
he left for obviously reasons with Lincoln Riley. You know,

(21:51):
he leaves for J. J. McCarthy. He stays, goes to
you know, wins the National Championship, Drake May he stays,
ends up being one of the best, you know on
quarterbacks in the NFL. And then if you look at
a lot of the quarterbacks that were in that class
who didn't stay, their careers have been pretty much roller coasters.
Even in the twenty twenty three class, Nico Jamniava Balachai Nelson,
Dante Moore, you know, Jackson Arnold. Those guys have all

(22:15):
bounced around from different schools, and so just because you're
considered one of the best. That also comes with that
is high expectations and in patient coaches, in patient boosters,
and now with the financials involved, if you're not hitting
and you're not living up to what you're being compensated,
fans are going to have a rebolt, the collectors are
going to have a rebolt, and the coaches are going
to try to find somebody older and that quarterback doesn't

(22:37):
want to sit around being a backup.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
All right, health, let's get to at Washington. Sounds like
Jen Fish and his staff did well.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
They did really well, and I think that they've got
to be very excited about the fact that not only
did they do well over the course of a whole year,
it's also how they closed in the last couple of
days to move from a class that was kind of
in the back end of the teams closer to the
top twenty and ended up with the number thirteen class
in the country. I can get into being number four

(23:04):
into Big ten. They were able to flip some guys
early on like a Cody Green, who was from Eastside Catholic,
played at Modern Day the last two years, was committed
to Oregon but ultimately came back and now he's going
to Washington. They had some really good early evalves on
guys that turned out after their senior year to have
fantastic seasons. But then the way they closed in the
last couple of days. They flipped Jordan Clay who was

(23:25):
an All American Bowl receiver out of Texas who was
going to Baylor. Had been a long time Baylor League
Trees Davis was committed to go play at Tulamee. They
were able to flip him, and then they were able
to also get David Scherzel out of Odai High School,
who started out as the UCLA commit, decommitted when de
Sean Foster was fired, flipped to Stanford, flipped to UCLA

(23:46):
on Tuesday night, but then signed with the Huskies yesterday.
Ramsack threw And who was another UCLA commit who decommitted
when Deshaun Foster was fired. He ends up back in
the boat. So they were able to close in the
last probably ten days with a bunch of high three
stars and then some top in four stars to really
kind of put an exclamation point on this class.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Cody Green's the five star, right, He's the offensive lineman
from from that started the East Side Catholic and helped
me out here. Is he the first five stars since
wait for it? I think the wait for it is
it Sam Heward?

Speaker 6 (24:19):
Yeah, it would be stand here and he's their first
five star from California, I think, And you got to
go back to Shaq Thompson in twenty twelve. I think
that was the last five star that they got from
the state of California.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Listen, not all I mean, and I bring up Sam speaking.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
Of twenty one Yeah, speaking of twenty twenty one quarterbacks,
who's had roller Fister?

Speaker 2 (24:38):
I mean right, never has never has found a spot
in college football where he could be the guy like
and it's just it's I mean, it's sad. I think
Sam's a good kid. I feel bad for him. But
Cody Green five star, he's the leader in that process.
How soon can he play as an offensive lineman?

Speaker 6 (24:52):
I mean Jeff Fish himself said last night they are
bringing him in with the expectation that he's going to
compete for a starting job. And I think nowadays when
he see the Francis and Aligalas at Miami starting as
true freshman Caden Proctor starting a true freshman. Offensive linemen
aren't cheap. I talked to an agent about three weeks
ago just kind of had to reset what the positional

(25:13):
value is. He said, it goes quarterback, left tackle, edge
rusher in the three most lucrative positions. And so if
you're going to invest in a freshman off at the
tackle who's a highly high level, highly rated player, you're
bringing him in to not just get on the field,
you know in spot duty. You're getting into come in
and start. You see that in the NFL. I mean
I was watching the Commander's game on Monday night, and

(25:35):
there are on Sunday night and Josh Connor Lee out
of Ranier Beach, who was the first round draft pick
at the Redskins, starting at right tackle as a rookie
for the Commanders. Much like the NFL draft, if you're
bringing in a true freshman, you don't have time to wait.
You're investing in that position. You need that guy on
the field immediately.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Washington picked up seven kids from California, six from Washington,
couple from Oregon, Nevada, one each from Colorado, Florida, Illinois,
l Louis. Really how about that New Jersey, Oklahoma, Texas.
I'm on the class besides Green, two running backs, four
wide receivers. Those are usual guys that maybe can play
right away. Who jumps out. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
I think if you look at what Brian Bonner has
done over the course of his career in Southern California,
I think there's an expectation that he's going to come in.
I think Adam Mohammad really acquitted himself, and I see
the games that Jonah Clombll was hurt, so you know,
this will give Bonner a chance to kind of be
the number two guy behind him. And one thing that
we saw with Washington this year is they played a
lot of true freshmen at the skill positions, and those

(26:33):
guys have come back next year. But I think from
their receivers, I like Jordan Clay the best of getting
on the field early. I saw him at the All
American ball back in January. He's gonna actually be a
two time All American Bowl selections first one ever. Just
a talented player with a great catch radius. He's going
to remind people a lot of Denzel Boston, but even

(26:54):
with more speed than him in that big body, long,
rangy receiver. So I'm a big fan of him him
and I think that he gets on the field early.
And then if you know, you look at kind of
what they did on the defensive line. Obviously locally, they
got the number one player in the state of Washington
for the second year in a row. That's something that
you know, Jetfish's predecessors, Kaylin de Boor and Jimmy Lake

(27:15):
and Chris Peterson to an extent, really struggle with and
now two years in a row, the Huskies land the
top ranked player in the state. Derek clomb and Brusa
out of Kennedy Catholic outstanding player, four year starter for
the Lancers, a kid that you know when he came
into high school, he was about two twenty five to
two thirty. Our guy, Sheldon cross what was still coaching
at at Kennedy when when Derek came in as a
freshman as an ahreader, he said, this guy is going

(27:37):
to be a star. And he was not wrong at all.
I would imagine that Derek, now he's about two seventy,
he's going to find a way into the rotation early
on too.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
All right, brand Huff been joining US twenty four seven
Sports obviously have much different situation with Wazoo and Jimmy Rodgers.
Although I'm looking at the rankings, I'm looking who they
picked up, it feels like it's the same guys they
would have got in the back twelve back in the day.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
I mean, if you look at the geography of kind
of where they're picking it up from, there's a little
bit of an expansion into some maybe some states that
they didn't typically hit all that hard, and I'm saying
more like a Louisiana and maybe in the city others
here you know, one of the Juco ranks, but you
know a lot of West Coast presidence. Five guys from
the state of California. They went into Arizona. I saw

(28:19):
all three of the defensive linement that they got from
the state of Arizona. I had a chance to see
this season. You know, a couple of instate players, so
they they know that they got to expand their reach.
And I like the fact that they dipped into Texas
and into a Louisiana. When you've got Texas State coming
into the PAC twelve, you're opening up the opportunity for
Texas State to recruit the West. So now strike back

(28:40):
and go down into their region and get some players there.
So double digits from Texas and California. Sorry Texas and Louisiana.
I like what they did. Malcolm Waukins is the kid
that I think, you know, we've got our rink as
an athlete. He wants to play receiver. I've seen him
as a lockdown corner. He ends up being the best
player in this class. Was committed to Oregon State for
quite some time, but open it up on the firing

(29:01):
of Trent Bray. I really liked what they did at
this you know, just kind of offensively on the front lines,
on the offensive line. And keep in mind a receiver
that Oregon signed yesterday was originally committed to Washington State
and then had a monster junior year, flipped at Utah
and eventually to Oregon. But Washington State was really the
first one his first FBS offer, the first FBS school

(29:24):
to go in on him, and they got his commitment
and ultimately lost them. But they've done a really good
job of kind of early evals and early identification. Now
it's a matter of holding on to some of those
guys down the stretch.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Yeah, they can they get a guy, any of these
guys get on the field next year. I mean they
need probably a receiver or two. They probably need offensive
line help, although you don't want to necessarily Outstanlisher Cody
Green come in as a freshman who could jump on
the field right away for them.

Speaker 6 (29:47):
Yeah, I think when you're going into the Jucos like
they did, especially with a couple of the corners they
got with Bryce Hecker coming in, really Breelan, you're bringing
those guys in with as juco's two kid on the field.
By the time they're kicking off the season next year,
you know, Bryce heckerd coustoms the College of San Francisco
probably one of the top five JUCO programs on the
West Coast. Ye're in and you're out. The amount of
players that they have produced that have gone on to

(30:08):
the next level and the impact guys. I mean, what
was our guy the receiver that was there that flourished
under under Mike Leach that was a I want to
say a City College of Style Williams or who's the
other the big big receiver who uh, just.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Go ahead, keep going.

Speaker 6 (30:27):
But you bring those guys in from the City College
of San Francisco types because they're playing, you know, with
other bounce backs, other guys that are high level Division
one type players that had to go to the juke
a route and you're expecting them to come in and
be able to play right away. And so I think,
you know, from that standpoint, those two guys are probably
the ones that have the best chance of getting on
the field. But if we're going from the high school

(30:49):
guys again, you know Malcolm Waukins, he's a versatile player
that could play on either side, and it's probably going
to be a matter of where's his immediate need going
to be filled, We'll get him in there. So he's
the guy that I think it's on the field pretty quickly,
and I really like what he brings to the table.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Huff is as great as it is for Washington doing
what they did.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
They did a lot.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Obviously it was fantastic, But then you look and see
is it Oregon USC or USC Oregon one two? How
did that work out?

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (31:16):
Well, it's funny because, as I said, where we're in
a different era in college football these days. Right now,
USC is at the top, but Oregon is in a
very strong position to jump them. With Chris Henry, who's
the number one player in the state of California, five
star player, a receiver who'd been committed to a house
state for almost three years. He was driving to school
yesterday ready to sign his letter when he got the

(31:38):
news about Brian Hartline taking the USF head coaching job.
Didn't sign with the Buck guys as expected, and he
may end up signing with Oregon. That might be enough
to push the Ducks across to the number one class
in the twenty twenty six rankings, which would be pretty
significant because those two have been exchanging blows. You know,
in recruiting. Oregon look to be getting a lot of

(31:58):
momentum and USC was starting to take some of that
momentum back, especially at a feeder school like modern Day
in Oregon. Could end up with the ultimate blow up.
They can get Chris Henry to sign with them. But yeah,
if we're in an era too where guys are delaying
signing because the language in their contracts still needs to
be vetted one more time. This isn't the old days

(32:20):
of just signing your letter of intent sending it off.
Now your language has to be vetted to make sure
all those numbers are accurate. Otherwise you're not going to
send your letter of intent in Thank you Jayden Rashada
for being a kind of a game changer in that respect.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
So yeah, I mean that's the other thing. It's a
different Well, like I said, this is probably a different
one to talk about down the road. But you know
how how the process has changed. But USC, like, like,
how scared should the Big Ten be about USC becoming
what they're becoming recruiting wise.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
Well, they should be, because you know, we have to
kind of bemoaning this in the recruiting industry for the
lastical years. Like Lincoln Riley knows that there's good football
players in California, right, Like he's aware that you are
allowed to recruit the West Coast. And I remember he
made flipping statement once where he's like, well, we don't
need to recruit, We're a national brand. We can go
recruit nationally. Well yeah, but you can't sign those guys.
Sure you'll get a commitment from a kid from Borgia

(33:08):
in March or April, but come December he's signing with
the local school. He goes and hires Chad Boden, the
general manager at USC away from Notre Dame, and all
of a sudden they start focusing in emphasizing the local kids,
and what you know, they end up with the number
one class in the country as a result of that.
So there's still some targeted football players out west, and
I think Lincoln Radley is now understanding that you could

(33:28):
still recruit players in the backyard of the school that
you're coaching at. And they're finding that Pete Carroll liked success.
I think it's been since Pete Carroll was the head
coach the last time they were at the top of
the rankings day and what if Pete do? Pete locked
up the state of California and the West coast, and
now Lincoln Riley is finally figuring that out.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Was it esaup Winston?

Speaker 6 (33:48):
Eup Winston? There you go. I knew, I knew it
was kind of a unique name.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Yeah, I got there. Hell of a career, all right,
twenty four to seven Sports for all your recruiting, Hoff.

Speaker 3 (34:17):

Speaker 9 (35:38):
Yes, and your favorite team, gross?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Why do you despise the Oilers?

Speaker 10 (35:44):
I came from watching the Stanley Cup finals two years ago.
They lost the special treatment that mcjesus got.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Okay, yeah, they lost both those series. I know that
may be happy. Well, the Cracking are indeed tonight in
the city. It's champions provincial capital of Alberta, Edmondson, getting
ready for the big matchup tonight. Oilers been better lately,
but got shut out on Tuesday by Minnesota, won to nothing,

(36:12):
coming off of four to nothing win against Seattle in
their previous game out last Saturday here at Climbing Plage Arena.
Krack and meanwhile have been shut out in two of
their last three games. E low event game expected tonight,
Kracking and their opponents have not put thirty five shots
on goal in any of the last twenty three games.
That means neither team has got to thirty five shots

(36:35):
on goal in the last twenty three games in a
Cracking game. Low events slow things down. Usually that helps
you against a team like Edmonton. We'll see if they
can get a going. Calvin Picker, the former feder Birds
getting start tonight for Edmonton, said a Stuart Skinner, who
got the shot out last week, which is interesting. Yeah, and
only gave up one goal on Tuesday, so Picks gets
to start. Joey the court expected to start for Seattle.

(36:55):
No Mason Marchmen. Five thirty pre games. Somebody texts this
in I don't know what you're hearing on a promo.
Five thirty pre game six o'clock drop of the puck

is he here? Do we know? I want to say
he's at the thirty two, but I could be wrong.

(37:16):
Depends is he hungry today? But yeah, yeah, all right.
He just kind of think I'm gonna go to get Kenny,
get Kenny and Mick out there to take care of me,
Get me some pizza, get me a salad. I'll take
some pictures posted on social media. So win win five
is Mikey? I'd be there every road game. Oh the
food is so good, very good. I'd be there all
the time. Great place to watch the game. Two by
the way, Okay, that's it. That's our daily power play,

(37:37):

one on one on the season. They trilled one boy,
it's the Seattle thing in that arena just can't score well.

(38:00):
See Torn got shut out last Friday in three periods.
Krack can get shut out in three period so we're
six periods no goals for the home professional teams at
Climate Pledge. Periods seven and eight came and went yesterday
first and second with the Torn getting shut out, and
they scored with about a minute to go. They scored
two goals in the final minute and a half.

Speaker 10 (38:17):
Hopefully that's the damn opening up a little bit for
the cracking tonight.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Yeah, let's hopefully they've broken the seal somewhere else, like
you had ten beers? What are you to go to
the bathroom? I don't want to break the seal. You
know that trouble.

Speaker 11 (38:29):
Anybody ever been to a bladderbusters party, That's what that's all.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Don't break the seal. Well, they broke the seal. Good
job by the by the torrent. Get the big win,

at quarterback for the Kuges, but got replaced by Zebbie
Eckhouse has not taken a snap sense, by the way,

(40:09):
and he is now in the portal. Apparently the writing's
on the wall.

Speaker 6 (40:13):
Good luck to you.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Let's see, I had one other thing I wanted to
get to. Oh, FIFA World Cup draw is tomorrow eight
o'clock Pacific time, so you can. I know my friends
at Fox thirteen are doing a bunch of it because
the World Cup is on Fox. But eight o'clock tomorrow
is when the World Cup draws will find out when
the US is going to play here, because they are

(40:35):
going to play here at least one game. All right,
let's get to it. Fundston is standing by. Let's do
it unofficial start of the weekend right now, it's right on.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
There's a long past pair sideways, the leading face of
fantasy sport. Even though you can't see him, trust us.
It's time Forrian's weekly visit with the Athletics Brandon Fundstone
brought to you by Georgetown Brewing Company brewing darn Tasty
beer like Many's Pale, al Body's Off and the New

Speaker 2 (41:18):
He's got a touchdown. I said, Tavern Beer is becoming
one of my favorite beers. Really. Yeah, just light Crisp's
just perfect, just to really really sometimes you just gotta
go logger, and that's what it is, and it is
really good. If you find Tavern Beer in your local establishment,
order order a pint. Do yourself a favor, right order
a pint of that right away. It's fantastic. All brut

(41:39):
at Georgetown Beer. Here he is, Ladies and gentlemen, boys
and girls. Brandon Funston, how are you, sir?

Speaker 13 (41:43):
It feels like it's been a while.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
It's been two weeks, Bud. We had a little Thanksgiving
thing last week right about now. By this time last week,
we'd already had one game in the books. We're in
game two. Yeah, some weirdos had already eaten. Yeah, some
freaks had already eaten in this world, not us. That's uh.
So I got to tell the three of you, Andrews,
Jess and Fund some god so like, I'm out of
the playoffs in well, actually both my leagues with but

(42:07):
the one that there's punishment in, I'm out. So my
punishment if I finished last. Now we have a we
have a Dookie Bowl competition, which you know there's a
it's not over yet.

Speaker 9 (42:17):
Okay, people, I don't like the sound of that.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
It's fine, don't worry about the duke. Don't worry about
the duke. But here's here was the agreement. Now I
haven't run this by purple sheet yet, but this is
one of those things that could go really bad or
really good or just really viral.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
I don't know what.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
If I finished last, then my league gets to come
in and host an hour of my radio show.

Speaker 11 (42:42):
What I just got I'm sorry, I just got really nervous.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Yeah, they'll be just like for an hour, all of
your members they'll be in here. Yeah, I'll spread the
mics around. I'll put just in charge of getting in
and out of breaks.

Speaker 14 (42:57):
It seems like somebody agreed to when you were premely
confident way back, you know, like, how would I ever
finish last?

Speaker 9 (43:04):
You know what leads to supreme confidence.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Lamar Jackson being awful, like Mike Evans getting hurt.

Speaker 11 (43:12):
Of beverages your draft is what was actually at.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
The Board of Governor's meeting in their world.

Speaker 14 (43:18):
Yeah, there, what's the like, what's the even level punishment
for somebody.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
Else in the league, Like, oh, there's license plate frames.
There's all kinds of stuff. Yeah, yeah, that are pretty
much something I can't put on my car. So I
had to I had to decide to do this. So yeah,
I just heads up for everybody.

Speaker 11 (43:39):
Yeah, okay, so we'll do we help you can't?

Speaker 2 (43:45):
How do we help you win? So this doesn't have
to ask Lamar to be better. Anyway, that's good times.
That's where we are, so Funston you'll tune into that.
Maybe we'll have Funston come on the show that day.
That'd be kind of fun.

Speaker 13 (43:58):
Huh be a Thursday at too?

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Yeah, why not? All right, So anyway, that's just a
heads up for you guys. All right, yeah, the mark
that down, all right? Shoul we get to some phone calls.
I think some other guys still in it. Let's start
with where should we start? Well, let's do this. How
about Mike and Edmunds? How are you?

Speaker 12 (44:12):
Mike? Hey? Pretty good? I Hi Brandon, Mike, boy, I
hope you have a really good dump button for that day.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Yeah, it's and is in charge of a lot. There's
a lot of pressure on a lot of people, trust me. Yeah, yeah,
good luck.

Speaker 12 (44:28):
Okay, all right, here we go full PPR. I need
one of these three guys. And I try not to
do this, but I have another question besides this.

Speaker 15 (44:37):
Okay, I just need.

Speaker 12 (44:39):
One of these Flowers. Marvin Harrison Junior. We're asking genty
and I think Ian and I are in the same boat.
With three games left, Will I ever be able to
start Lamar Jackson?

Speaker 14 (44:53):
Yeah, I'm curious to see how he will do this week.
Pittsburgh is like second in the league and pressure rate,
and clearly Lamar Jackson's not not one hundred percent. You
can tell by just the rushing numbers. It's just dropped precipitously.
But I think this will be a very telling week.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
I would I would go with.

Speaker 14 (45:11):
Gent just because they're throwing the ball to him so much,
you know, kind of he's going to get the carries.
They're not going to be that fruitful most likely, but
he does get those, does get those receptions in full
PPR that matters. Flowers has been rough since Jackson's been struggling,
and and I just don't trust Marvin Harrison right now.
Michael Wilson's in the mix, but it's a tough matchup

(45:32):
against the Rams.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
There you go, Michael, talk to you next week, all right?
Next up?

Speaker 3 (45:36):
You bet you?

Speaker 2 (45:36):
We had down to the two, five, three, Ricky and
to call them Hi, Ricky, all.

Speaker 7 (45:40):
Right, Hey, I want to host this so for an hour's.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that are hoping that
they get a host of showers, and I can think
of ten of them all. Little Maple Valley can't wait
for that show. All right? Continue? All right? Well, I
got Tesla Rivian. Which one's worst? I'm joking. I mean,
I was just.

Speaker 14 (46:02):
Talking about Tesla though he's actually a pretty good play tonight.

Speaker 7 (46:05):
So I mean I was like, I lost that waiver claim. Okay,
Well I got three quarterbacks and this I'm a mirror
mic there. I got, Okay, Lamar Jackson, Sam Donald or
gosh forbid, Tyrod Taylor half point PPR?

Speaker 2 (46:22):
Which one should I roll with?

Speaker 3 (46:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (46:25):
I have I have Lamar Jackson down at like QB nine.

Speaker 14 (46:28):
Uh so that's still it's still slightly ahead of Sam
Donald and I don't have uh, I don't have Tyrod
Taylor close.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
To either of them.

Speaker 13 (46:35):
So give me Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 2 (46:38):
All right, Ricky, we'll talk to you next week. Well
what do you think Let's go to be your en, Hi.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
Rob, this is the best thing ever.

Speaker 12 (46:47):
You got to kick my mask at the last place,
and we got two weeks to do that.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Last half full Rob, I don't know if I like it.
I don't know if I like it at all.

Speaker 13 (46:55):
It's the same Rob, He's just got a different attitude.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Just a different attitude and attitude.

Speaker 3 (46:59):
Check. I like it?

Speaker 8 (47:00):
All right?

Speaker 2 (47:00):
What's the question there?

Speaker 16 (47:01):
Rob?

Speaker 3 (47:03):
All right? All right?

Speaker 17 (47:04):
Do we go with Dak or do we go with h.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
Darnolds? Yeah?

Speaker 14 (47:09):
I have Dak only behind Josh Allen this week, so
number two, number two overall?

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Oh all right, all right, good luck Rob again. It
just creeps me out when he comes in all shipper
and happy. I don't like it. Don't like it at all,
doesn't doesn't doesn't feel right. Chris and Bury and what's
going on?

Speaker 15 (47:26):
Good afternoon, gentlemen. Uh and good two parter kind of
on the heels of the Lamar Jackson. Let me give
you the hard part first flex full point PPR Toakoby Myers,
Jordan Addison, Xavier Worthy or the wide receiver I'm trying
to pick up Jayden Higgins.

Speaker 13 (47:45):
Yeah, I'm gonna go Jacoby all the ways looking good.

Speaker 14 (47:48):
Trevor Lawrence has accuracy issues. A nice thing about Myers
when they brought him in is he doesn't he doesn't
live downfield, so he's catching his His catch rates like
in the upper eighty percent, where everybody else on the
team it's like in the fifty sixty percent. So Trevor
Lawrence has a great connection with him. It's getting better
each week. I like Myers a lot.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
There you go, all right, that is our guy. Christen Burrien,
all right, let's do the two step. We'll start with
Derek consultant. Hi, Derek, what's up?

Speaker 10 (48:14):
Guys?

Speaker 6 (48:15):
What's Upbore.

Speaker 15 (48:16):
Here's here's the thing.

Speaker 6 (48:18):
I don't even need to win this week or next
week because I got bye week in both my.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
Lead I hate you.

Speaker 7 (48:23):
Yeah, some ls here, so I.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Gotta I gotta lay it on.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
Nobody gets a free week.

Speaker 18 (48:31):
I'm wondering Brenton Strange, Mike Evans possibly or Christian Watson
for a full point PPR.

Speaker 2 (48:40):
Good questioned one.

Speaker 17 (48:42):
Man.

Speaker 14 (48:42):
That's that's a that's a good one. I might full
point PPR. I think I'm gonna lean Brenton Strange. Man,
it's close between him and Christian Watson. Yeah, it's just
again I talked about Trevor Lawrence. He loves those short
area guys and Strange admirers have been the ones they've
really been eating when they're when they've been healthy in
that lineup, So I'm going to go Strange slightly over

(49:06):
Christian Watson.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
Perfect, All right, nicely done. We stay in Sultan's Stephen
and Sultan's next. What's up, Steven.

Speaker 18 (49:13):
Much just enjoying the lovely Washington State sunshine?

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Damn right, it seems wet today.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
That's weird.

Speaker 18 (49:18):
But for you, though, Ian, if you do the Dancy
football phone line calls, we're still on the debut of
the Maryor's ip A next year.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
Yeah, what's what?

Speaker 3 (49:29):
Now?

Speaker 13 (49:30):
What's that thing? Is?

Speaker 2 (49:31):
What show? What did you do?

Speaker 18 (49:33):
The final fans like last year talking about doing a
financy league from New York callers?

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I see what you're saying
on I P A Day noted? Yeah, I P A
Day is pretty much a gong show as it is.
I'm not sure if I'd want to add anything to that. Andrews,
you were there this year? Is that I don't think? Yeah,
that describes it very well. It's quite busy, quite busy.
We'll see if Stephen, what's your question, what do you
got fire away?

Speaker 12 (49:55):
All right?

Speaker 6 (49:55):
So what about receiver in one flex?

Speaker 18 (49:57):
Tight end premium between Michael Wilson, Mark Andrews, Chris Rodriguez,
DeVaughn Bailey, Isaac Tasala and Dj Moore?

Speaker 13 (50:09):
What's how much this is the premium on the tight end?

Speaker 2 (50:12):
One and a half.

Speaker 18 (50:13):
I also have Saltz, Pitts and likely on the bench too,
but don't like either one of them.

Speaker 13 (50:17):
I like Pitts.

Speaker 14 (50:18):
I mean, the Seahawks do give up a lot of
a lot of production to the tight end position. Pitts
with decent last week. I actually like Pitts better than Andrews.
I think the two two I like the most. I
like Pitts and I like Tesla there as I mentioned earlier,
I mean it looks like a mon Ross Saint Browns
out assuming he is. You know, there's big play potential
with with Tesla. So have my two choices.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
The one thing that translated from Pete to to Mike
McDonald is the tight ends get yards against them. They
don't score necessarily. Let us get some catches and look
like enough.

Speaker 14 (50:49):
Yards that they've given up the fifth most fantasy points
to the tight end position.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Dink and duck along the way. I'll get a couple
more phone calls before we get to the text. By
the way, text four nine four five one get those
question is in four nine four five one. Keith is
an Olympia.

Speaker 17 (51:02):
Hi Keith, Hey there, Hey, I've locked up a playoff
spot in my league, but I'm going up against my
son this week and he's fighting for his playoff life.
So I'm trying to do a Y and so kind.

Speaker 15 (51:13):
Here's the question.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
I love that. So I got two of them.

Speaker 17 (51:17):
So running back, I got to pick a gainwell, Monan
Guy or Hunt from those three mediocres.

Speaker 14 (51:24):
Yeah, guy has been been really good. He's just got
a little bit of an ankle. Dang, but I have
him ranked the highest. I I'd watched that one. I
have a Hunt next.

Speaker 13 (51:33):
So Monan Guy, for some reason, is a scratch. I
would go with Hunt.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
All right.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
There we go, last phone call before we get to
the volume of Texas pretty high today. Let's get to
Jordan and Tacoma. Hey, guys, how's it going good?

Speaker 3 (51:45):
Buddy?

Speaker 2 (51:46):
All right?

Speaker 19 (51:47):
So, uh, I need to not play one of the
four I got DeAndre Swift, Devin Neil Woody, Mars and
then that Keith Slaw guy off the waiver wire.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Again.

Speaker 14 (52:03):
Assuming I'm on Ross Saint Brown, is that I'd take
my chances on to Slat. I would probably sit Woody
Marks because he's got an ankle. Dang, we might see
a little bit more Nick Chubbs can't see. Chiefs not
been as stout on defense as we typically assume. But
it's still not a still not a cake walk, So
I would go swift Neil and tesla If no, I'm
on Saint Brown.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
All right, love it. But Andrew's fist pumping in there,
fist pumping in there?

Speaker 17 (52:28):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (52:28):
Does that make sense for me?

Speaker 10 (52:29):
You talked about Nick Chubb getting more carries? Yes, I
was very happy about that.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
That made you happy. All right, let's hit the music
and I'm gonna go right here to one o'clock in
the afternoon. We didn't have a bullseye today. We did
not have a bull's eye. But I'm quibbling over one second.
We had three come in at one minute or one
o'clock in one second, and then a whole bunch at

(52:53):
two seconds and less.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
So here we go.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
The first one that came in at one second after
the hour. By the way the burrow Brisselle one, you
missed it by fifteen seconds. Nice, try though, jump the
gun like the old hydroplane races, pedalized penalized the lap
you'll start false stars of penalized the lap five to
the five minute gun. Here we go, first one from
our buddy Ben standard scoring. Need Flowers, Sutton and T. E.

(53:16):
Higgins ranked in or rank him in order.

Speaker 14 (53:19):
Oh, let's go. Let's go Higgins assuming he plays. He
has practiced in full so he should clear concussion.

Speaker 13 (53:26):
Probably call then Flowers and then.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
So okay, for one please Shakir, Jacoby Myers, Shaheed, Brian
Thomas Thomas or Devon Vely Bailey.

Speaker 13 (53:39):
Yeah, I just need one.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
I'm just just giving Jacoby Myers, Kobe Myers, thank you.
I'll actually like that answer. Need one Baker, Jayden Daniels
or Daniel Jones.

Speaker 14 (53:50):
Well I got I got Baker and Daniel Jones right
back to back, Baker ahead of him. I would put
Jayde and Daniels slightly ahead of both of them, assuming
he plays, and right now he's trending towards playing.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
So yeah, give me Jaja if it's Daniels, if he's ready,
to go. Okay, Yeah, we are now at two seconds
after the hour at one o'clock. Jamie from Allen if
Drake London his outs, do I play Watson or Deebo?

Speaker 14 (54:11):
Thanks, I would play I would play Christian Watson. I
like Deebo's kind of like zero, isn't he this year?

Speaker 2 (54:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (54:18):
The problem is that he's he just catches one yard
passes and then it's all about him doing you know,
yards after the catch, and he's just not as explosive
as he used to be. So uh, Christian Watson's been
trending up. He's kind of become like their go to
guy in that passing offense. Need to please Burrow, Stafford
or Donald. I'm gonna sit Donald. I don't hate him,

(54:39):
but like I like those guys better.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
PPR need to sit one R J Harvey, Saquon Barkley
or Kenneth Walker. Who do you sit there? PPR?

Speaker 14 (54:50):
I have Harvey, I mean Harvey Walker and who was
the other one?

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (54:56):
Those guys are right back to back.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
But are you for having those offs?

Speaker 14 (55:00):
Mike Harvey is the lowest of that group, but you
know it's tight.

Speaker 2 (55:05):
Jacoby Brissett, justin Herbert.

Speaker 14 (55:08):
Yeah, Herbert. If he plays, he's playing with the cast
on his left hand. He probably doesn't run goal line
stuff because of that, So you gotta go Brisett. Brissette's
been a a QB one seven straight outings.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Whoa how Yeah? Mental note to myself to stay at
the last place Toby ever won? Are Stannard scoring? Let's
see Matt Stafford or Jerry Goff.

Speaker 13 (55:34):
Those guys are close.

Speaker 14 (55:35):
I have Stafford just one ahead of Goff Dak or Burrow.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
Dak. Stannard's scoring. I know I got that already, do
do uh, let's see, I think actually, and I'll let
you jump up.

Speaker 10 (55:51):
I'll let you jump up, all right? Do I take
a chance on Rashid Shaheed on the wire?

Speaker 13 (55:57):
I mean that's context right, need to know if you're cutting.
But I have a twelve.

Speaker 14 (56:02):
Team league where I'm just having buried on my bench.
But I'm just waiting around, still hoping, holding out hope.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
But all right, hasn't dropped him yet? All right?

Speaker 11 (56:11):
Uh?

Speaker 10 (56:11):
Roman Dude Day, Christian Wahs or Kyle Manung Guy at flex.

Speaker 14 (56:17):
Yeah, I think that's uh, that's between Manong Guy and Watson.

Speaker 13 (56:21):
I'd play it. The safer play.

Speaker 14 (56:23):
Is Manoguy if he plays the you know, go for
the big home run. I think it's Christian Watson because
the Bear's secondary is not being good and Watson's a
big play guy, so you might get a couple of
big plays.

Speaker 12 (56:33):
Out of him.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
Right by the way, all these people people text in
rooting for me to finish last. If you can see
me right now, I'm telling you you're number one in
a row.

Speaker 10 (56:44):
Yeah, half PPR flex A Duneesay Hampton or Keenan Allen.

Speaker 14 (56:50):
Yeah, I will go Hampton if he plays. We talked
about this offline, since you have a doonsay I do.
He's been roughings a practice this week. He has a
foot injury and so two practices in without him without.

Speaker 13 (57:02):
Him going, so he may be not playing this week.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
Oh wait, so Andrew's talking to Will get a little
inside information trading off camera.

Speaker 5 (57:10):
There.

Speaker 10 (57:11):
There's some much perks to doing this, you know, producing
for the Ian Fornest Show. Yes, TV Lamar or Caleb Williams.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 14 (57:21):
I don't like Caleb Williams against green Bay at green Bay.
I think he's gonna have I think he's a rough afternoon.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
Give me a tell us the truth. You just don't
like Caleb Williams like I don't.

Speaker 13 (57:28):
I don't like.

Speaker 16 (57:31):
He does.

Speaker 14 (57:31):
He's done better in fantasy than I've probably given him
credit for.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
Fair enough, all right, what about Jordan Love or Lamar
and Jackson?

Speaker 14 (57:38):
I like Jordan Love, so I have Jordan Love just
one spot ahead of Lamar Jackson's matchup. But he's also
looked really good last time out.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
So if you if you say, had those two guys
in a super Flex League on paper, that would have
looked pretty good right on paper?

Speaker 14 (57:53):
Yeah, I mean yeah, I mean Jordan Loves kind of
a Jordan loved what have you done for me lately?

Speaker 13 (57:59):
When he did do something on Thanksgiving?

Speaker 2 (58:01):
But on paper that looks pretty good back in August?
Go ahead and do a radio show, Okay.

Speaker 10 (58:11):
It gives them a takes DeVante Adams or she writes
Jacoby Myers or Debo just one, it says sit to so.

Speaker 14 (58:20):
Debo, and I think I like Jacoby Myers, but given
the others, I think Jacoby is the other one.

Speaker 10 (58:27):
I'd said, uh TD, Onlysette or Herbert.

Speaker 14 (58:35):
Yeah, I mean Brissette's chucking the ball Toime, so gonna
go with Brissette.

Speaker 10 (58:40):
There golf or love GoF Mahomes or Danny Dimes.

Speaker 14 (58:48):
Mahomes going against Texans, but Jacksonville's actually been pretty decent
against quarterbacks.

Speaker 13 (58:53):
To give me Pat.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Mahomes, pitts Er Ferguson. Uh.

Speaker 14 (58:57):
There those are back to back. I'm going pits for
the re since I said about the Seahawks earlier.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
Yeah, yeah, Baker mayfielder.

Speaker 13 (59:04):
Jordan Love uh, Jordan Love.

Speaker 2 (59:07):
Uh A J Brown or Scary Terry. Yeah, that's a.

Speaker 13 (59:11):
That's a close one, but I'm gonna go a J.

Speaker 12 (59:12):
Brown.

Speaker 14 (59:13):
Huge game last week, but Chargers one of the best
in the business that's shutting down wide receivers. But I
like the trend for Brown the way he's been going
the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 10 (59:21):
Love this question from the two oh six. Is Funston
real or is he an ai? You guys talk fantasy football.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
With wow, Well, you know what the cats out of the.

Speaker 14 (59:31):
Bag now, trust me, I'm never on the cutting edge
of tech.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
Very much like what an A I would say, that's good.
Did you get our guy from Hilo, Hawaii?

Speaker 10 (59:47):
By the way, I did not get from Hawaii Jackson
Darter Joe Burrow considering Jackson darts on I think Joe
Burrow is the answer.

Speaker 2 (59:54):
There. Oh there you look, and I'm trying to be
nice to the guy listening on the iHeartRadio app all
the way overw I boom. You already lasted in my bookie,
and that's why I listen.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
That's great. It's just a really good day to be me.
Big time, good time. I was at dinner with half
these guys last night and they're like, they're just we're
gonna we're having a show meeting. We're gonna plan stuff out.
Just is already freaking out, I said, Listen, I said,
we don't even have a show meeting.

Speaker 11 (01:00:24):
This You're going to be more organized than the rest
of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Than their normal host. Yeah, that's good time. Just can't wait,
all right, Fund said. If they didn't get the question answered,
how can they do so?

Speaker 14 (01:00:35):
Yeah, then go to the Athletic go to the fantasy
football page.

Speaker 13 (01:00:38):
It's there, and uh.

Speaker 14 (01:00:39):
Lots of rankings and information and stuff to get you
set for a very important week.

Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
Fantasy football so important. Yeah, for so many people, not
all of this, Okay, I said, week, We'll talk to
you next Thursday, buddy, you too, Thank you. It's Brandon
fund soon here you go. Good times anyway, we'll take
some look at some other texts four nine, four or
five one? Who else wants to do a s here?
We're just taking applications. You guys can all come in.

Speaker 9 (01:01:02):
Ian's planning a vacation games.

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Who else is going to finish last? Come on in
and do our radio show. Let's do it. Let's have
some fun. Justine come on and she welcomes all comers.
All right, we'll take it to take a look at
the text line in a second. Also, Jessman will have
a pick. Nope, Anderson Adams will have a pick, his
final pick for Factor fiction. We have two more on
this show today and tomorrow. We're on a heater right now.
We're gonna try to finish off with twelve straight wins.
He'll have that pick for you a chance one one
thousand dollars code up next.

Speaker 5 (01:01:29):
From the R and R Foundation Specialist Broadcast Studio. Now
back to Ian Furnez, powered by Seattle Closest sports book,
Snow call Me Casino and Hotel on Sports Radio ninety
three point three kJ R FM.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
It's going to a couple of text in four nine,
four to five to one that is the still unrestricted
free agent. Text line uh four two five I and
Keith mill and I are happy to give you a
day off. That's from our buddy Nick Allen. Sure, Keith
and Nick, you guys come in and do a show
of Robin Bury and do a show about Robin chrism Burien.
Have the two Burian guys come to a show. Let's
have Steve and Derek from Sultan the Sultan twosome come in.

(01:02:08):
Figure out three hundred and sixty five of those and
you're good to go. Ricky and Tacoma come in and
do a show.

Speaker 9 (01:02:12):
Ian is just looking at his bank. Vacation time.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
For people, just for people just joining us. It's I
got a bad situation, bruin if I finished last in
fantasy football. Basically my legal be coming in. You're doing
a ShoWest you're in charge, so fun with that. So
your loss means our loss? Yeah, yeah, it's we're all
one big, happy family.

Speaker 12 (01:02:33):
Like you.

Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
I didn't pick your fantasy team, no, but we're all
on the Hey, we're on the same team here, Like
I'm listen, maybe I'm Anthony Bradford and you guys are
the rest of the team. We're all still one of
the Wow you missed your assignment. Everyone else is elite,
everyone else is everyone else is really good, and it's
just here. I am Sam darnal get sacked. Who else

(01:02:54):
wants to do a show?

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Damn it?

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Come on down. We're all my Yeah, it's yeah, Like
I said that yesterday. They were talking about it last night.
We're all hanging out and it's like show prepping. Oh,
come up with a show plan.

Speaker 16 (01:03:07):
And have a meeting.

Speaker 9 (01:03:07):
And I'm like, I mean, like, have ad it if
you're well.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
I didn't think about it. I go Jesse. That'll be
a refreshing for Jess. Just I drive her crazy. What
are you doing today?

Speaker 6 (01:03:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (01:03:19):
I'm just gonna tell you about all these ideas.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
It's the one thing that Softy and I are exactly
the same one. And I think it's just an old
school way of doing radio because when we first started
in radio, there was no internet. You didn't you know,
you didn' can't just you know, do internet stuff and
look at text and Twitter and everything else. You just
had to go like you just had to riff. And
I think and I'd just rather do it that way.
I know some people like could do it different. We're

(01:03:42):
all different, but you know those guys are all will
be prepped up. Jess, you don't worry.

Speaker 12 (01:03:46):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
You'll probably be enjoying it a lot more than a
normal date, okay, or or you won't. I had the
same coffee experience you did it up in Anna chorus,
wanted a black coffee. Was thoroughly disappointed the coffee and
the view biggest waste of money they've ever spent. So
a minute, so MJ says he went to get himself.

(01:04:07):
He doesn't drink coffee, but he went through a coffee
barista stand yesterday, okay, to get a white chocolate something,
you know, like non coffee, non caffe ated. First of all,
you do you man, No caffeine, no alcohol is good
for you. Man. Yeah, provos calling, you know. But but whatever,
So he goes, and I had no idea these things existed.

(01:04:28):
And it was a baristed bikini bearistastem Miami. Well apparently
they don't have those down there. He claims. There's no
such thing as bikini baristas in Florida. Now, how about this,
somebody can fact check that for me for tomorrow's crosstalk
and check and see if there's bikini baristas in Florida,
but he claims there weren't.

Speaker 11 (01:04:45):
Everyone does walk around in a bikini like actual bikini Bearisa.

Speaker 9 (01:04:49):
I know, so it might not.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
They're not in a bikini jazz. Sometimes they're in I
would probably phrase lingerie or stickers, whatever you want to say.
But I told him, I said, I went to the
one down here on East Margin because coming from the
airport to here, when I come home from a long
road trips, I needed a coffee. I went there once
nine dollars coffee, worst thing I've ever had, and the
view was even worse.

Speaker 11 (01:05:08):
I'll just say that, Yeah, oh, that's what you were referring.
There are bikini shops coffee shops in Miami, right.

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
Send that to me, will you please? Because I think
he's they are on. I thought he was pulling the
old well. I mean some people may go there. I've
never been to one of those, okay, fella, I thought
it was a little sketchy. I have and first of all,
just go get some Swiss miss and make it at home.
What do you need to spend five bucks for a
hot shop for hot chocolates? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
You know what they do have?

Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
Now though, I just discovered this, and people canna say,
oh for now, they've had those three years. Uh little
you have a curry and me have a currying here
yeh yeah, Okay. They have hot chocolate pods. They do,
which was good because the other night we're decorating the
Christmas tree and it was just my wife and I
and my son Baled and so we're sitting there and
he's like, and you know, she goes, I want to
I want to hot chocolate and some schnops, my wife says,

(01:05:57):
and I'm like, well, I know we got schnapps because
we have a pretty extense of flickor cat. I never
got that, but we didn't have any hot chocolate. So
I guess who had to bust ass up to the
old fred Meyer at five o'clock in the afternoon. Wasn't
was not my one. But yeah, they had been curing
hot It's the greatest deal ever.

Speaker 11 (01:06:15):
It's awesome, yeah that they have that. I think they
have tea pods nowadays.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
There, yeah, yeah, yeah, but this is key. So yeah,
if you're just a pro tip, if you need schnops
and hot chocolate or schnaps, hot chocolate and some something else.
I meant you know where you go? Oh, speaking of
its Real Fast, Real Fast Tuesday show. Speaking of spirits
Tuesday's show, I will be down at Chambers Bay Distillery
and University Place. Big thank you to them for all

(01:06:40):

specials if you want to buy us. If you have
friends family that like a little bottle for Christmas, that
is the place to go. Chambers Bay Distillery would be
there on Tuesday. Factor Fiction. Now, where's that to go?

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
Glad you're with us, It's your shot at our weekly
thousand bucks and the.

Speaker 3 (01:06:58):
Ten thousand dollars in price.

Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
It's Fact door Fiction probably presented by Lucky Eagle Casino
in Hotel where every day feels lucky. Fact door Fiction
is on Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ R FM.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
Anderson Hurst, who is the guru and the se sayer
of all things Factor Fiction. He's in charge. Yeah, I'm
in charge. I don't know about like picking things. He
gets the odd pick couple times once or twice a week.
This is your final final pick. I'm gonna be honest.

Speaker 10 (01:07:32):
I didn't I still have yet to decide, but I'm
gonna just go with my guys.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Rip the band aid off.

Speaker 10 (01:07:38):
I'm ripping the band aid off, and I'm gonna go
with the Baltimore Ravens at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers
minus five and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
Yes, I like that pick all you like that? Pick
all on?

Speaker 10 (01:07:51):
Yeah, I think that was the first one I kind
of saw this Sunday Night. No, it's a ten am okay, yeah, alright,
all right, yeah, the Sunday Night game.

Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
Is the Chiefs. Soft there you picked that one in fourtly,
this is a good one. But I like this one too.
I'm not sure if the Steelers will score five and
a half points. Aaron Rodgers telling his receivers they suck. Basically,
they don't work hard enough.

Speaker 10 (01:08:12):
Come onme, Mike Tomlin talking about taking the Penn State job.
All of a sudden, it's not gonna happen, not gonna happen.
But anyways, all.

Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
Right, Steels minus five and a half fall sorry ball, Yes,
at home.

Speaker 10 (01:08:25):
They need to win this game, and I still feel
like a big time breakout Lamar Jackson performance is coming.
It could come this weekend and it would help both
me and you. Uh with your famous football team. So
I'm gonna go kind of take it all here. Yeah,
I'm gonna take Ravens minus five and a half points
at home versus the.

Speaker 9 (01:08:44):
Pittsburgh Steel Wishful thinking Vick, I like yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's see. Wow, somebody wants to do
a commercial free hour when those guys are in here.

Speaker 13 (01:09:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
No, you want to pay for it? Yeah, exactly. A
lot of people volunteer. You guys all finished last in
your fantasy league too, Is that the reward? Yeah, that's
not I don't know what it. Okay, by the way,
hot chocolate, peppermint candy cane and Bailey's for the wind,
the peppermint vodka. Smirnoff has a pepper peppermint vy hot chocolate.

(01:09:25):
Maybe the pepperint vodka candy cane, Bailey's for the wind. Yeah, yeah,
you know what, this is the best time of the
year for like I like a hot cocktail type. We
were down in the Claw the other day, Eat them
Claw the Scratch and uh we were down there and
I had a hot cider with a cinnamon whiskey. Oh

(01:09:46):
yeah stuff yeah yeah yeah, with a little to it. Yeah,
very good. That's a good time. Of the year for
that stuff.

Speaker 9 (01:09:54):
I had moulded wine for the first time here in Washington,
and it is phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
Yeah, done, it is very good. Oh maybe, yeah, done, right,
it's very good. Okay, we're good.

Speaker 10 (01:10:03):
One more time to pick Baltimore at home minus five
and a half against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
If you agree with Anderson Hurst fact four nine four
or five one. If you disagree fiction four nine four
or five to one, text in right now a chance
to win a thousand dollars weekly price. You cannot win
one thousand dollars if you don't text fact or fiction
right now. That is a correct statement. You cannot win
a thousand dollars weekly prize. If you're correct once you're
enter to win one thousand dollars. It's all just take

(01:10:29):
one correct text, and we have been correct a lot lately.
So you'll text fact and be very happy. I hope so.
And then you'll be finishing the day Sunday going I've
got at least one chance, yeah, maybe more, twenty one
thousand dollars, and Anderson will call you on Monday.

Speaker 9 (01:10:42):
One chance is better than none.

Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
Fane joins us. From the five to twenty next all right,
head to the five to twenty, barn and girl Richard
el Fain in today, no softy for a couple of days,
I hear, right, is that right?

Speaker 16 (01:11:03):
The suit of days?

Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
Yes, multitude of days. Short show today though, right, g
oh no, well yeah crack and it's short ish short
ish yeah, a couple of hours ish. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:11:14):
We have got Mike Holmrin and Rick new Heisl Same
same deal as usual from here. But it's so nice
in here, Like you come in here at Christmas time,
it's just cozy, it's warm, there's Christmas lights, and then
you look out the window and you're like, why would
you want to be out there if you're wandering through Bellevue.
There's no reason to be out there, and a lot

(01:11:35):
of reasons to be in here. There's good food, there's
alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

Speaker 16 (01:11:40):
And it's nice and cozy. So come on in and
you get to see Mike Congre.

Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
I was telling MJ in the midday earlier, I said,
you know what the five twenty is, and just downtown
Bellevue as a whole this time of year is awesome,
like it really is, like it really snowflake laying the
whole thing. I mean, it's it's very cool down there.

Speaker 8 (01:11:55):
By the way, So we give all the credit to
the CEO of the Bellvy Chamber, Joe Paine.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Yes, let's do that, and congratulations. Congratulations to his wife.
By the way.

Speaker 16 (01:12:05):
It's a it's a power that's a power couple. Man.
You can't even touch them. They're on fire.

Speaker 7 (01:12:11):
Uh I.

Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
I just stumbled across your tweet responding to Bandit band
It twenty three.

Speaker 3 (01:12:18):
Oh boy, let's.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
Get rid of Daddy Sprinkle. Yeah, let's get rid of
Daddy Sprinkle right now. You know I'm in on that.
I say, yes, they do it because I think he's.

Speaker 8 (01:12:28):
I bet you, I bet you would you know, And
I mentioned last night before the game on the air,
I said, you know this, this kind of feels like
an emotional swing game for Husky fans, even though it's
game one of the Big Ten season. Yeah, a win
over uc LA, and you're like, hey, maybe this is different, right,

(01:12:50):
But if you lose then I've got guys on Twitter
bringing up all the stats again all they've lost seven
straight conference openers. That blow this and that it's just
the same team basketball team that we've seen the last
decade and I'm like, Okay, well it's not. First of all,
there's almost nobody here from any of those teams. Forty

(01:13:12):
percent of your team has been injured most of the season. Yeah,
and so like, so you're gonna fire a coach who's
had sixty percent of his roster and is six and
what five and three? And they just lost the game
in the last seconds to UCLA where they came back
from a sixteen point deficit and turned it into a
one point game with thirty seconds left to go.

Speaker 16 (01:13:33):
I mean, I just but I get it. I mean,
I get it.

Speaker 8 (01:13:36):
That's fans are fanatics, and they're sick and tired of losing.
And I don't think the losing's gonna last much more.
It's just they got to get these guys healthy and
they gotta get them playing basketball together, because I don't know,
if you've seen January schedule, it is murderer's freaking row.

Speaker 16 (01:13:53):
Well, this calendar turns the James.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
I mean, you got one, two, three, three teams in
the top seven in the country in the Big Ten.
Three other teams ranked the top twenty five. UCLA just
dropped out, but probably shit there, like the second team
out at Iowa was Io was twenty six, Ucla is
twenty seven, Nebraska is twenty eight. Okay, so just think
about that. And oh, by the way, the team that

(01:14:16):
you lost to as although they just dropped out, the
next team coming in here is undefeated at seven to zero,
and you at USC It's a tough conference. I listen,
I watched that game last night, a good chunk of it.
And you know he's got talent. You've got a lottery
pick playing in the front line that is maybe the
best offensive rebounder in the country. Like so good, Like
just people relax, just ye like I'm telling Husky fans

(01:14:40):
to relax. Come on, Why am I the one has
to be the voice of reason besides fain Huh? Come on,
it's just I mean this starting on. Here's how twenty
twenty six opens for Danny Sprinkle. How about at twenty
second rank Indiana, followed by at number one Perdue. Then
you've got Ohio State and third ranked Michigan and seventh
ranked Michigan State at home, and then two weeks later
you got at fourteenth rank Illinois.

Speaker 16 (01:15:01):
Now the good news is once.

Speaker 8 (01:15:03):
January's over, you can make a run because there's a
lot of teams on your schedule that you're better than that.

Speaker 16 (01:15:10):
But that's the that's the thing.

Speaker 8 (01:15:12):
If they're if they're one in five or zero to
six in those games that I just mentioned, doesn't really matter.

Speaker 16 (01:15:19):
If you make a run in fetors, it might be
too little.

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Too late, real quick. Just would you be disappointed if
this team's not a tournament team this year?

Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (01:15:27):
I would, I would.

Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
I would think so.

Speaker 8 (01:15:29):
I think. I think it really depends on, you know,
when how healthy they are, if they're if they're healthy
for a majority of the season, they get Nasovitch back
and he's healthy for a good chunk of the Big ten,
and they still don't make the tournament.

Speaker 16 (01:15:43):
I think that's a disappointment.

Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
A lot of people think they're a tournament team. Mean, listen,
Minnesota's better nicos Can coach and we saw that at
Colorado State, Like they're better. It's good conference anyway, fight
on Trojans. What do you got? What do you got today?

Speaker 8 (01:15:56):
Rick new heisl coming up at three twenty A lot
to get to with him and including Maline Kiffin news.
We haven't talked to him since the jump three thirty five.
We got our factor fiction pick. We are we're trying
to knock down the door of the morning show.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
You better worry about us catching you first. All right,
I'm just gonna tell you that. I mean, that's fair.

Speaker 16 (01:16:13):
That's fair. You guys are you guys are close?

Speaker 8 (01:16:14):
And then of course the Big Show Mike Hombrin comes
in from from four to five before we chat with
Everett fits you. We'll see if we can get a
split of the two Edmonton games this week.

Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
A goal would be nice, that'd be a good start.
Yeahlet's score, not.

Speaker 16 (01:16:27):
Even not even asking for a win, just like you
would like a goal, right setting O.

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
When leading after two, get a couple of goals, you
win the game. That's how it works with this team.
All right, have a great shows.

Speaker 6 (01:16:35):
Yet, thanks man for the mild mannered and marginally objectionable
in forness.

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
This is paddle day saying so long everyone,

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
