The NFL creates a lot of buzz with the release of the teams' schedules. While we know they're purposefully a 24/7 sport, if they really didn't want the schedules getting released, they should impose some penalties. Ian breaks down what we know about the Seahawks schedule so far. What are the most significant marks on the calendar? Do the Kraken have a new coach in mind? Ian has sources that tell him the Seahawks schedule! We will fact check this on the official release, but we are confident in what it looks like right now. Also, four primetime games this season...reportedly. We check the text line and talk to Softy.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
I'm just really wanting to get into one of those
hotel rooms, SiO. I'm just so excited because it's gonna
be so brand new, and you know they're gonna have
like the comfiest beds and the best linens.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
View of Mount Side and my favorite thing, I can
hang out at the sports bar, the brand new sports
bar and restaurants and the sports book and the new
non smoking gaming floor and have a couple three cocktails
adult beverages.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Because you got a bed to go back to.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Watch my wife sneak around the floor. She does like
she's like covert, like she's when she goes to the casino.
It's like she doesn't want to see me. She does
her own thing. She like, oh god, she's unbelievable with that.
So yeah, I can't wait to go up there and stay.
We'll tell you about that coming up on Friday. All right,
I want to get to this. It is a schedule

(01:31):
release day five o'clock, So Offti in Fame will be
here for you at five o'clock and have that for you.
They'll break it all down. They'll be the first ones
that's truly gonna do schedule roulette. I mentioned this to Mark.
This is this is why this is one of the
dumbest things in sports. Okay, this is why this is
First of all, we had the most cringe worthy moment
of the draft this year when the two ladies went

(01:54):
up there. Laura Rutledge was one, Colleen Wolf the other. Right,
So we had because remember the NFL Draft is on
both networks and if on network ESPN. Yes, Colleen Wolf,
Laura Rutledge. Just google each of them and you'll see
why they were the ones that did this.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
They're very beautiful people, yes, and.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
They went up there like music's playing. They're kind of
half dancing, very uncomfortable, very cringely. And their whole job
for the draft was to announce when the announcement of
the schedules coming out, So an announcement for the announcement
which is today, which is like back in the day
when we had the Hyder plane races here five to
the five to the five minute gun.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
That's what we used to have of our work place
when we have to have a meeting, to schedule a
meeting exactly.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
That's everyone can relate to that. Yes, So first of all,
that's dumb. Second, because it used to be we had
the schedule before the draft, which was really kind of
nice to have. Yes, made it really it made it
just a better situation. You get, okay, here we are
blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Anyway, the NFL has to be a twenty four to
seven sports I get.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, here's the dumb part. Today, at five o'clock it's
going to be announced, the schedule is going to be released.
Well before the schedule was released, we found out the
European games. Good, Seattle's not going. I think it's I
hate European games for regular season. I think it's just
I think it's all.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
It takes a toll.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
It takes a toll. It's not fair for the fans,
especially those who are losing a home game that year.
And less it's Jacksonville, then you can they can go
pound Sand and go over there. We don't care about them.
They're irrelevant. But anybody else shouldn't have to do that.
The Premier League is not playing games over here in
the States. I don't see Liverpool, Liverpool and Arsenal playing
a regular season game at MetLife Stadium. I don't know
why we reciprocate. They'll watch anyway. Roger Goodell, who cares?

(03:26):
But anyway, I move on. We're not playing one of those,
so good for US, US being Seattle and Seattle fans.
This is where then all of a sudden, so we
know those. Then we find out we all know that
Philadelphie is opening at home on Thursday, right, We know
that because why they're the Super Bowl champions. We know
that they played Thursday telling us their opponent's not a
big deal. That's fine. Who is is it? Dallas? I forget,

(03:47):
it doesn't matter. I couldn't care less while watch it
on Prime anyway, and away we go. I think the
next day there's a game in Brazil that too, is stupid.
But the funny thing about today we're waiting for five
o'clock and all the leaks come out. Seahawks at Niners
Week one, which I'm going to get to in a second.
Seahawks at Steelers Week two, that's also been widely reported.

(04:08):
Seahawks at New Orleans Week three, Seahawks at Cardinals Week four,
Week nine, Commanders hosting Seattle that's supposed to be a
Sunday night game. Week eleven, Seahawks at Rams, Seahawks at
Rams for Thursday Night football. Week sixteen, and then week eighteen,
Seahawks wrap it up against the Niners. So book in
games against the nine Ers, if it's true. Two things
one Last year and I wish I would have done this,
but that would take a lot of effort and coordination

(04:29):
and being basically organized on my part. But last year
there were at least three or four games that were
leaked for Seattle that were erroneous. Doesn't mean these are
the ones I just told you, doesn't mean those will be.
They could all be banging on. They might be. Probably
a better chance they are than they're not. The funniest
thing is, this is what I don't understand. The NFL

(04:52):
wants to control the message. He wants to make this
an event, and it's a primetime eight o'clock East Coast,
five o'clock West Coast, not primetime here, primetime in the
East coast announcement. Here we go, here's a schedule e lease,
We're gonna do it. Boom boom boom, it all drops
at the same time. If they really really wanted for
this to be one hundred percent schedule elease outside of

(05:15):
the European Games an opening day, we wanted to be
a big deal, you know what they would do. They
would make it a big deal and not allow leaks.
Now the teams know, yes, the teams know, the Seahawks
know their Digital Group has already put it together. They
already know who's They've already got the graphics ready to go.
All they're gonna do at five o'clock is hit send,
It'll be on their website, Boom, away we go.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Then they've got really creative with those they have.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
But the tickets, the tickets are the ticket guys. They're
ready to go. Like people in the building know, people
in the building know what the schedule is. I know
that for a fact because we've worked with them before
for television graphics and things like that when we were
their partner at Fox thirteen. We know they know. There's
also if the NFL didn't want it released, which I

(05:58):
don't know why they would want release, to be honest
with you, all you have to do is impose some
massive fines and some I mean just starting. You can
lay down the law and say, if there's a leak
and it involves one of your games, one of year, Beatrip,
whatever it is, we'll find out who leaked it. If
it came from inside your building, like Seahawks Niners, to
come inside the Seattle's building or the Niners building, you're
gonna get fined. There's gonna be some sort of punishment

(06:21):
and retribution because I know listen, I know the Seahawks guys,
and I'm telling you right now, getting getting any Hey
is the practice squad long snapper? Does he have a
sprained ankle? Can't really talk about that. Those guys are
locked down beyond belief. Pearson's got those guys. It is
my guys, Garza and Gonzales and Whitehead. Those dudes, I'm

(06:46):
telling you right now, they ain't leaking anything.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So if the NFL really wanted this to be that
big of a deal and not leaked, they love the leaks.
That's the point. The NFL loves the leaks. It's just stupid,
like we're going leak stuff out. I think there's some
leaks that are done in Tally that are wrong too.
Like that's and that's why I say.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Because it brings more attention.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
It brings a ton of attention. Now, with all of
that said, does that mean I'm not gonna talk about it?
And of course now I'm gonna talk about it. We're
gonna definitely talk about Yeah, We're gonna definitely talk about
it because that first game historically, and I'll get to
that a little bit in the next segment, we're gonna
check in with a guest down in Portland. But we'll
get to the next segment that first game. If true,

(07:27):
If Seahawks hosting Niners is true, it is really an
interesting dynamic in play, and historically speaking, not something we
see very often either. So we'll talk about that coming
up in a second before we do that. We'll do
that at the end of the next segment. Before we
do that, Jess, I'm gonna check in with my buddy

(07:47):
Dirt Andy Dirt Johnson down at Tennady the fan in Portland.
He went on a rant the other day that was
epic about the Blazers, their ownership, the fact that now
they're being sold the lottery, the NBA lottery is just
still kind of festering out there. We didn't get a
chance to talk to you yesterday. I mean it it
is so greasy. I mean it's so greasy.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
I don't believe in anything that they do being unintentional.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah, see it's interesting. Okay, that's a get a break suck. No,
it's good. Unintentional or fixed. I don't think it's fixed.
But it just seems odd that a team with less
than two percent chance could win a lottery. I think
if nothing else, you'd be safe to say that the
system itself is broken. I think that's what it is.
I think it's as simple as that.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Well, I think everyone here in Seattle would say the
NBA system is broken and would agree with you one
hundred percent exactly.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
All right, we'll take a quick break. Come back, Andy Johnson.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Next podcasting live from the R and R Foundation Specialist

The schedule release leaks continue. We have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,

(10:05):
eight for the Seahawks so far, Seahawks Niners opening Week,
Seahawks Niners Week eighteen, bookend, forty nine er games top
of the at the start of the season and the
end of the season are in there. And so one
of the things we'll discuss in just a couple of
minutes after we talked to Andy Johnson from Tenny, the

(10:26):
fan is are we gonna wait? You want to wait on? Andy?
What do we want to do We're.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Gonna wait until he gets into a little more reception.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
How about to do this? Tell them we'll come back
about one thirty.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Okay, I think that's a good idea.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Okay, we'll call him back a one thirty and we'll
get him on for a few minutes. Sinc So I
do want to get him on today. The schedule I
mentioned this earlier. This is the schedule release situation for
Seattle Week one forty nine ers. It's significant for a
lot of reasons. First and foremost, it's your biggest rival,
I think, and I think just talking if you guys

(10:59):
get this from Lund as well. We talked to him
every week. We had him on yesterday. Of course as
weekly visit. John London leashed the forty nine ers. They
reciprocate the rivalry, make no doubt about it. It's nobody
cares about the Rams, all right, and less people care
about the Cardinals. Hell, nobody cares what the Cardinals in
Arizona much less. You know, outside of Arizona, Seattle, San

(11:21):
Francisco is the best rivalry in this division. You would
think it would be San Francisco in LA, but they
just relocated it from out from St. Louis a decade ago.
No nobody cares, and you listen to lines, he'll tell you.
We'll talk about it next week when we talk about
the schedule with him on Tuesday next week in six days.
That's the biggest rivalry. It's also a very pivotal game
Week one, Seahawks Niners at Lumenfield. If if that's true,

(11:48):
let's assume it is.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Yeah, we need to hedge on all those I'm.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Hedging it, but let's assume it is, and we'll talk
more about tomorrow. This would be just just the fourth
time since twenty twelve. And I use that as kind
of I mean, I know Schneider got here in twenty ten,
along with Pete and everything, but their third year twenty
twelve was kind of the start of good things for
this organization. Really the start of this team and this

(12:14):
organization being relevant every year and having what only what
two losing seasons in that timeframe and all that. This
is when it really kind of became a deal. This
when they became it was twenty twelve kind of is
my it's my mark. I like to use that mark,
so I'm going to use that mark. Twenty twelve, twenty
fifteen and twenty and twenty three. Those are the three

(12:36):
times recently that the Seahawks have opened up against a
divisional opponent. Now three of those, I'm sorry, two of
those were on the road, and now including this year,
two will be at home. But of the first three,
all three were losses by the Seahawks. All three of them,

(13:01):
they came out of the gate and did not do well,
did not farewell against a divisional opponent, and one that
they had hoped, you know, would set the tone for
the season. Now here's the interesting thing when you look
at what's happened over those years. There's been the first
game twenty twelve at Arizona, Russell Wilson's debut. They lost

(13:22):
twenty to sixteen, and they had a chance at the end.
Russ let him down the field. They threw the ball.
He had a couple of shots at the end zone
in the final seconds. One is which when kind of
a medicine bality threw up and almost Doug Balld when
almost got decapitated, took a couple of teeth out in
the bottom.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yeah, that was the chick lick game.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Yeah, it was. We were I was standing next to
our photographer my man Chad Bailey or Schramick one of
the other guys. We were there in the end zone
getting ready to do our postgame show, and it was like, oh,
like that collision was like, Russ, he almost killed your
guy there, man that bully. Yeah, but they had yeah,
medicine ball, but they had a chance to win. But
they had a chance to win. Russ played actually pretty

(14:00):
well in his debut. They kind of kept the training
wheels on him, but they I mean, that was a
game in which they just came at him with everything
and they could seattle end up getting making the playoffs
that season. But that was the first that was the
first game that that they had played that they opened
up in this in this era, I guess I would
say against a conference opponent or a divisional opponent. Didn't

(14:21):
go well. Twenty fifteen, this was an interesting year because
twenty fifteen, I'll remind you, do you remember what happened
in twenty fifteen start of the season. Start, So it's
it's coming off the Super Bowl loss, yea to the
to the Patriots, right, and we remember we had the
holdout of one Cam Chancellor and this was kind of

(14:43):
the beginning of the end of that era of Seahawk football.
They now they lose, They go to they go to
Saint Louis, They lose thirty four to thirty one in overtime.
They had a lead with seconds left in that game,
and who, God, I forget, I can't remember who it was.
Somebody can text at four nine, four to five one

(15:03):
who was replacing Cam as a safety because Cam was
holding out still and that dude got beat deep by
a tight end Kendricks for a touchdown late to tie
the game. Saint Louis goes on to win it in
overtime thirty four thirty one and twenty fifteen. Seattle then
lost the next game to Green Bay in Green Bay
and had a tough start to the season with Cam

(15:25):
holding out. He came back soon thereafter, but they lost
that game as well. Twenty twenty three, they lost to
the Rams at home thirty to thirteen, a game that
frankly wasn't even that close, and that set the tone
for kind of a rough year. Now. Twenty twenty three,
they still finished nine to eight. The other two years
they went to the playoffs, but both those years it

(15:49):
made it a lot more difficult because in twenty twelve,
they won as a wildcard team. In twenty fifteen, they
won as a wildcard team. They didn't win the division
either one of those years. The three years prior to
that they've played an NFC West team the first game
of the season, they did not win the division because
they lost all those games. And we all know the
importance of divisional games. They are massive. So for Seattle

(16:12):
to have to start the season and I'll tell you
who else probably isn't happy about that. I'm gonna get
San Francisco doesn't like it either. Yeah, Like, I think
that's a tough Like if you win that game, man, fantastic,
But you know, I mean, you'd much rather see the Saints,
which is your reported Week three opponent, rolling in here,
then you would the forty nine ers in a Week one.

(16:33):
Whoever wins that game is going to have a nice
leg up in the race for the division. I wish
they wouldn't do that early season against the forty nine ers.
Maybe you love it. I want to know, four nine,
four to five one, we'll do a little more. We'll
do a little more schedule roulette coming up tomorrow and
kind of check in with that as well.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah, it's it's.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Just interesting to see, like what because we never know
what will be the significant game, right, you know we
when the Seahawks won against Detroy TI Lee off this season, right, we'relling. Yeah,
then they lost to the Giants and both of those
were just opposite ends of you never know situation.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
It's it, Yeah, idea, let's go ahead and give Andy
a call here and we'll get him on.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
I think his film might be a little out of service,
but I am trying, Okay, let me know.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
So. Yeah, well, that's it's interesting what you just said there, though. Yeah.
It does set the tone. It sets a tone for
the season, and it sets the tone for the year.
Divisional games are probably if if you're just kind of
looking at the value, I don't even know that. I'm
sure someone some nerds out there, got some analytical value
based on to it. But based on that, the the

(17:38):
the amount of importance for those games, it's probably double
anything you see in the AFC. A non conference game
like the Steelers game Week two, that's gonna be cool.
Again reported that'll be cool because it'll probably be more
than likely be Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf against the
Seattle Seahawks DK against his old team. He'll be revved

(17:59):
up and ready to go. Him and Weatherspoon will be
barking at each other the entire game be kind of nuts,
kind of crazy. But that game really isn't all that
important non conference games when it comes down to tie breakers.
I mean, every game is important in eighteen game or
seventeen game schedule, but non conference games they don't have
that same weight. Week three, New Orleans again, that's being reported,

(18:21):
and that's at home against New Orleans against more than
likely a rookie quarterback and Tyler Shuck should be a win.
Nice little conference get an NFC win along the way
would be awesome. And then Seahawks at Cardinals on Week four,
another really important game. I looked back at the schedule
of the last few years. To have two divisional games

(18:41):
in the first four weeks of the season, it is rare.
It's a rarity for Seattle. I don't know about other teams,
but it's a rarity for Seattle. I can't imagine that.
I mean, you're going to know the fortunes of this
team pretty quick after those first four weeks. If they
come out with wins against the Niners, and the Cardinals

(19:03):
in weeks one and four. Again those are being the
reported ones. If that is truly what happens, then my goodness, man,
they're off to a great start. You lose both those
games week one and week four, man, it's going to
be tough to come back, and the whole thing of
it's early and all that, blah blah blah. Yeah, it's early,
and we saw last year they were in first place
for a while. You can blow a lead, but I'll

(19:23):
tell you right now, a lot harder to come back
from a deficit than it is to uh, you know,
to to to lose a def to lose an advantage.
And I just think that's I think those first four
weeks one, week's one and week four are just massive. Again,
if that's that's being what's reported for these guys, that
is a massive, massive start to the season.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
When you throw the in between ones, especially the Steelers,
that's going to be have news all over it.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Tough but sure, but.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
But it'll it will and it won't.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
I think you don't think the DK thing.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
No, it'll be it'll be a bigger I think let's
let's separate what it is. Okay, the game itself non
conference AFC opponent doesn't hold the same weight as an
NFC opponent, and not even close the same way as
an NFC West opponent. But the story, oh oh god yah,
I mean DK against the Seahawks, Yes, huge.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
And that's an East coast trip. Those aren't easy.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
But they've been better at that. I heard Mark talking
about earlier. I don't have the number in front of me.
I'll try to. I'll get it before tomorrow. We'll probably
see it by by tomorrow. So because when the schedule
finally comes out, So now we're assuming that's a ten
o'clock game here, right, we're assuming that that's ten o'clock game.
I would assume so, but maybe it's a four o'clock
Eastern game four twenty five. Who knows. But they've been
better at those East Coast games. Holme Gren's teams struggled

(20:38):
mightily in those games. Pete struggled initially and then flipped
the switch. It's funny because Pete's teams later on, which
warren't is good, had better success in those early ten
am Pacific time one o'clock Eastern time starts. As years
went on, a lot of it had to do with
how they did their travel. They flipped it around and

(21:00):
they switched it up. Pete did, and I don't know
how Mike did it last year. I wasn't there, but
I know last you know, when when Pete was doing it.
One of the things he did is he said, we're
going to go out on Friday. We're gonna go two
days in advance. They practiced early, flew out, got there
usually late on a Friday night, and then they would
have the entire day on Saturday to kind of get acclimated,

(21:21):
to get yourself back in here we are, get used
to the East coast time change, get rid of the
jet lag and all that. And frankly they had good
success after that, and then you come home and then
away you go. But it was that they did a
really good job, and they have and all NFL teams do.
I just I was more familiar with Seattle's when I
was there or covering those guys. Their performance people are

(21:45):
so good. They're monitoring everything like oxygen level, sleep time,
here's the hydration thing. They've got the GPS on guys
during practice and all those things. There really is no
excuse anymore in the National Football League and frankly, most sports,
To be honest with you, there's probably no excuse to
go out there and not have success. Traveling, you're not

(22:07):
flying commercial, you're not going through sea tack. You're not saying, God,
where's my enhanced idea? Do I have my hand? I
don't forgot my enhanced ID, got a passport. I'm good
to go. Like, you're not doing any of that stuff.
You're not doing any of those things. You're jumping on
a flight with plenty of room with whatever, you need,
more food and drink than you can possibly handle. You're hydrated,

(22:30):
you're fed, you're good, you're rested. Yeah, it takes its
toll to fly across the country. Anybody that does that
knows that. But any of us that have traveled, you
do know this traveling commercial it kills you man, it
takes it seat. But these guys aren't doing that, and
you know they're not. You know, you get to the hotel.
You're hoping you can find a bottle of water somewhere.

(22:50):
By the time they get to a hotel that's not
like nine dollars like the.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Best thing in the world, like those ivy things that
you get after a weekend.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
We roll a new hotel room, and it's it's like, okay, yeah,
I need a bottle of water. I forgot to pick
one up or whatever you go because you can't travel
with one, right, I guess you could buy one once
you get through the airport. But how much of that
bottle of water here at the Old Weston or the JW. Marriott.
That's a twelve dollars bottle of water that if I
went to the store it would cost me seventy five cents, Like,
come on, So they're fine with that. I don't worry

(23:21):
about the ten o'clock starts for Seattle. That's like the
last thing I worry about now. But I do look
at one at weeks one and four, if it is
Niners and Cardinals, I think your season is really going
to hange on you win both those games. Man, you
are in a great situation. You're in an un especially
the Arizona game. If you win that one. The Niners
game is almost a must win the Arizona game, that's

(23:45):
kind of like, boy, if you win that one, you
got money in the bank. Road. Win NFC West your
loving life at that point, and then after that, I
think Seahawks commanders, you said was a Sunday night game, right.
I saw that that Seahawks Commanders on Week nine Sunday
Night Football leave correct that Thursday, Thursday Night Football. So
that's their one Thursday game, correct that we know of

(24:06):
right now? You're talking week sixteen. Wait, no, that's that's Rams.
That's Thursday and foot Punch. That's I think the Commanders
are a Sunday night game.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Oh that's a night game. Okay. I didn't have time
rumor on that one. I just knew it was a
Week nine.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Yeah, and here I am just blasting the how the
leagues come out.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
It's fun.

Speaker 6 (24:23):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
The NFL has to be in our faces and on
our brains at all times, and we can speculate and
we can do everything we.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Have to do.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Let me tell Seahawks fans this is my my pro
traveling tip of the day. I would, I would tell you,
if you're a Seahawk fan, if you're thinking about going
to a game, you want to go to a road game.
We've talked about this a lot of times before Week
two in Pittsburgh. I would I would make that trip
if you can. I would as a Seahawk, And that
has nothing to do with DK or if it's Aaron Rodgers,

(24:51):
which we assume it's going to be as a quarterback. No,
that stadium is awesome when they play sticks to start
the fourth quarter. Yes, it is awesome. Like it is
a really cool atmosphere. And you're going at the time
of the year. You're not gonna get snowed on. You're
not gonna have to worry about travel delays and god
am I gonna get there and all those things. I
would tell you to go to Pittsburgh. I think it's

(25:12):
a I think Pittsburgh is one of the coolest stadiums venues,
and the stadium itself isn't It's not there's nothing special
about the stadium. It's outdoors and it's open, like there's
no cover, right, so if it does rain or snow,
you're screwed. But the atmosphere in that building, everyone wears yellow.
It's what they're trying to get Loom and Field back
to be like, So you this is this is maybe

(25:34):
some payback. If you're a Seahawk fan, I would urge
you and you're you're gonna make the one trip. There's
a lot of people that save up their money to
make one trip a year, two trips a year to
to a road for a Seahawk game. I'd go to
Week two against Pittsburgh. No matter what happens week one,
You're still in it. The games are still relevant, you know,
because that's that's the part thing. You get to a
late game later in the year, they may not mean
as much. Go to that game in Pittsburgh. You will.

(25:55):
You will, you will think I'll use them Mark James, uh,
go there me later.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
I also, I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
He has a lot of catchphrases, so I haven't written
them all down yet.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
But I will say too.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
I think that if you haven't traveled a lot to
the East coast, people can flate Philly and Pittsburgh. And
we know Philadelphia they're all lunatics. Pittsburgh is not that way.
It's a very they have a historic respect like I
Gin Yes, yeah, yeah, not lunacy central like the you know.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
I think I've been to three or four games, covering
through at least three games there. I believe it is,
and every every experience has been I've just I've come
out of going this place is awesome, Like it's just
it's just a.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Cool sale of the earth kind of city.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I'm gonna tell you we're not to go.

Speaker 7 (26:41):
Here's where not to go, Philadelphia, Commander, Sorry, Commanders, stadiums.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
You will be You'll hate it. You'll hate everything about it.
It takes forever to get there.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
You're's not convenience.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
It's out in the middle of It'd be like if
there was a stadium I was gonna say, like where
Emerald Downs is, but I have such great respect for
Emerald Downs I want to do that. I'd say, you
know what it'd be like if you had a stadium
up in Marysville.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
You mean, like the Patriots do with Fox.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
That's it's similar, except for the only difference is well
that that stadium there's only two roads. There's like one
road in, one road out, and there's and it's two
lanes and it's that's That's But the stadium itself Foxbro's fine.
It's I mean, it's not, but it's not an unpleasant experience.
That's whatever they call FedEx Field now, I don't know
what they call it these days. Whatever they call is

(27:32):
it still FedEx. I don't whatever they call the stadium
that the commander's playing. You don't want to go there,
wait till they build the new stadium with the old
rfk is. Just trust me on that one. Don't go there, No,
no need to go there. You'll be massively disappointed everything
from seats to site lines to getting there.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
And there are some you want to talk like, I'd
put their fans in the category of worse and dumber
than than maybe Philadelphia or Cleveland, And those are the
two worst ones I've been aroun They're prett bad. Like
it's a it's a pretty bad place.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
It's a kind of weird that it's called Northwest Stadium.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
What is it Northwest? Is that like is that like
a credit union or something?

Speaker 7 (28:08):
It's probably Yeah, I did, in fact did not know that.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
The fact that it's in the northeast and that's the
name of it. Yeah, exactly, don't go there some respect
to go to Pittsburgh, maybe go to l A.

Speaker 8 (28:21):
Is cool, is amazing, Yeah, I mean it's it's I
think it's a there's nothing to do before the game,
like the tailgating zero and it's out in Inglewood and
you kind of fear for your life driving through the
neighborhoods out there.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
Can attest to that, Yes, but once you.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Get to the stadium. The stadium itself is really cool.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
It's beautiful, the sunken stadium.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Yeah, except for the announcers.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
Was he was he?

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Was he there for the Bowl game when you were there?

Speaker 7 (28:43):
Not that I recall was like you would have known,
yes if if I say that, you would have said, oh, yeah,
the guy's screaming.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
No it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
No, we didn't have that.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Okay, we'll tell you break come back nose dirt. His
phone didn't work, you know what? That's you know what? Okay,
that's why I left that radio station. Stuff did work?

Speaker 4 (29:01):

didn't work?

Speaker 3 (29:04):
They?

Speaker 2 (29:05):

I believe choice.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
I want news of the day because I think this
is interesting and has more bearing on Seattle.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Adam Foote being the head coach in Vancouver. Is that
what you're talking about. I think you're talking about something else.

Speaker 10 (30:21):
I am talking about something Rick the new head coach
in Philadelphia for the Flyers of Philly. There were a
lot of thoughts that maybe he would be the new
coach in Seattle at some point, but it seems like
all things are pointing to him going to Philadelphia. The
initial reaction will be that he's going to go to
Philadelphia and he turned down Seattle, and I would say

(30:44):
not so fast.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
To use LEA courses.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
This is what I wanted news of the day.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Not so fast, my friend. I don't know if that
would be one hundred percent accurate. I think Seattle's waiting
for someone still in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Well that's I said. This has more and.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
It wouldn't be a coach. A head coach necessarily be
somebody on a bench somewhere along.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
The way, something who was ready to elevate.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Yeah, because I think they would have made the hire already.
You know a lot of things taking play. Adam Foot,
by the way, he's gonna be the new head coach.
And in Vancouver, former defenseman for the Colorad Avalanche, Danley
Cup Champion was an assistant coach last year with the Canucks.
Coach in the dub for a while, didn't I wasn't
highly thought of as a junior coach, but I which
is odd because I guess a lot of the Canucks
players are happy he's gonna be coaching them as a

(31:27):
head coach. Guys sometimes are different as head coaches and
assistant So I would just say, be careful what you've
asked for. But he's gonna be the coach there. The
talk at the Philadelphia makes sense. He played their legendary
player from Philadelphia. If he goes there, then then that's fine.
I just have a hunch Seattle's waiting for somebody that
is on a bench somewhere. It might be Mitch Love,
the former Everts silver tip player coach and now on

(31:51):
the Capitols coaching staff, who sought to be an unpucoming.
But I'm just that's just it has That's just a guess.
But that's kind of what I'm thinking all the way,
all right, Ken Holland, New GM in La as well,
Stanley Cup playoffs two games tonight, Game five, Panthers Leafs

(32:12):
series tied two games apiece. Oh, there is pressure in Tronta.
There is pressure on the Leafs up to nothing, go
down and lose two in a row. In Florida, Panthers
can take a three to two lead and head home
with a win tonight. Someone's gonna go down to Game
six on Friday with the three games of two lead. Toronto,
where there's more pressure than you can ever fathom. Man,

(32:33):
they are stressed out right now. Game five tonight as
well in Vegas, Edmonton has a chance to close out
the Vegas Golden Knights. They lead three games to one.
Mark Stone, captain for the Knights will not play in
that game, so that's a big advantage for Edmonton. Last night,
just one game Sevey Stars the Dallas Stars. We call
them Sevy Stars from Brent Severn.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
I'd like that rolls off the tongue better.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Sevey Stars beat the Winnipeg Jets three to one. They
lead that series does Dallas three games to one. Game
five coming up later this week in Winnipeg, where the
Jets will have to win the next three to stay alive.
The number one team in terms of points in the
regular season of the National Hockey League and they are
on the roads.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
I think it's an icorous situation, a little too close
to the sun too early.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Listen to this, that sounds.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Like a newspaper.

Speaker 2 (33:21):

that has every Seahawk game in front of me. I'm
not gonna say where it came.

it is tomorrow. Actually, as a five o'clock.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
We'll fact check it tomorrow that I have every single
game in front of me, all seventeen games, including the
bye week in there as well. I can't tell you
where I got it, but I got it sources. We

seventeen games that I'm going to go through with you
in a few minutes time, so stand by for that.

(37:08):
Joining us right now before we get to that really
cool thing going on this weekend and throughout our state.
And I'm a big fan of high school sports, especially
high school football and basketball, which is what my son
played on his way to a college career. What our
coaches do in our state at all, for all sports
and activities, so to speak to is really important the
Washington State football and by the way, we'll get back

(37:28):
to the Seahawks schedule here in just a couple of seconds,
but the Washing State Football Coaches Association, they've got an
event coming up this weekend. They're going to induct their
Hall of Fame coaches. They're also doing a mentor program
as well. And the reason the mentor program is important
and hopefully we can get William on, but if not,

(37:49):
the reason that is important is because last year there
were forty nine actually currently postseason last year nine head
football coach openings in Washington State alone. Over the last year,
forty nine head football coach openings across the state. That's

(38:10):
an alarming number. And the bigger issue is the turnover
of young head football coaches and football coaches as a
whole that are young in our state. Over the last
three years, the turnover rate is really really high. So
the Washington State Football Coaches Association is doing this event
this weekend, and what they're doing is they've invited fifty

(38:32):
new or aspiring head football coaches to the vMac this weekend.
And big shout out to the Seahawks. I'm going to
tell you right now, those guys. A lot of it
has to do with Mario and Bailey over there and others,
but they pushed so hard for girls flag football. They
were a driving force behind that, and they're a driving
force behind helping youth football in our state, and I

(38:52):
have to applaud them for that. You know, a lot
of big time organizations forget their roots, and I think
it's really an important thing that Seattle does the Seahawks do.
I see it with the Kraken with the development of
and building of rinks all around the state and what
they're doing. It's really cool. But I think what we're
doing here with the Seahawks is great. So they're bringing

(39:15):
a bunch of young, aspiring head football coaches of vMac.
They're also bringing in fifteen long term highly successful high
school football coaches to mentor these coaches. They've got college
football coaches from Wazoo, Eastern Washington, Central PLU coming into
assist these coaches. I'm sure that might be my guy
Brent McAdam down there at POLU, who I think really
highly of even though my son went to a rival school. Also,

(39:38):
Randy Hart, we all know his name, former Husky coach.
He's coming in as well to give the keynote express.
They've got multiple sessions going on, and what they're just
trying to do is they're trying to help They're trying
to help these young people get more involved. And this
is a quick shot. They've got three Hall of Fame
members getting inducted this weekend, and selfishly, I've got to
mention well. Rocky patchin from North Thurston, Randy Afalter from

(39:59):
Kennewick Els Brig and topon Ish. But my favorite guy,
Tony Davis coached at Renton but forever he coached at
Tahoma High School. Tony's a former and I believe in
original Seahawk from nineteen seventy six, and Tony was just
awesome And I can't say enough good things about Tony

(40:21):
Davis the human being at Tahoma, and I'm bringing up
him just because my son played for him. I was
around Tony forever. But this is the importance of high
school football coaches, mentors, people that help young people, not
just football wise. We have some great high school football
coaches in the state x's and o's, and I think
almost all of them, to a man, the best ones

(40:41):
are also great mentors. I think a Keith ross Down
is in Sumner, for example, Monteepid o Day guys like
that that are massively successful, but just good human beings
and there it's more about it's it's more than football
for those guys. Tony was one of those people. He
did a thing and I would hope most programs and

(41:02):
he'll be there. He'll probably speak on this stuff, do
something called He did a program called being a Man,
and it was like teaching our young football players at
Tahoma what it's like to be a man, what it's
like to be a man, and that means respecting women,
how you handle yourself day to day mental issues that

(41:24):
so many of our young people are having right now.
And it was part of training camp in summer football
every year. And I know it helped my son. I
know it helped all his teammates. And you know, state
championships are great and that's what everybody aspires to. Conference
championships even better, are also great as well, But most
important is just growing through the sport. And so shout out,

(41:44):
we're not going to be able to get our phones
are dead.

Speaker 4 (41:46):
Yeah, we're deciding that we're having a technical issue.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
But this is so great everything that you just said
to You know, my dad, for my whole life was
a college football coach. But right now, a guy who
played for him is a head high school football coach
in the town over from where I grew up in
New York, and he is actually working with him, and
he's coaching the coach too and teaching him how to

(42:09):
coach the young men. And obviously we're you know, high school.
These are boys turning into young men at that age.
And what I see the importance of coaching do the
snowball effect of positive coaching goes so much farther than
on the field. It goes beyond the field and everything

(42:30):
that you were talking about being a good person, being
a good teammate, showing leadership, showing initiative, and being there
for you know your teammates, and that could be anyone
in your life. That's what I see from coaching. So
hats off to everybody, all right.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
So yeah, I think that's coming at this weekend. So
our apologies to William for not getting him on bummer,
but that happens sometimes in the world of live radio
and technical issues along the way, let's move into the sex.
I don't need a phone. I don't need a phone
for this. Got in front of me, got in front
of me. Here it is. So again, we're gonna fact

(43:10):
check our fact check ourselves tomorrow. Four nine four five
one is the text line. I trust your sources this one,
I'm not sure. We don't reveal. I'm not revealing. You
know who the source is.

Speaker 4 (43:25):
I do, I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
No, I'm joking. I think I think that.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
You have a good chance of having everything right now.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
Okay, four nine four five one. By the way, let
me know what you think of the schedule when it's
all said and done, let's go through it, shall we. Yes,
We'll start first week one, as has been reported, at
home against Santa Clara Banas, rolling into town coming off
a six and eleven season. Week two, last year a

(43:57):
playoff Teamvan God, how do they always get into the playoffs,
By the way, I don't know how they do. They
were a garbage team last year. They're probably gonna be
garbage this year. But you got to go there week
two and they might have Aaron Rodgers and they're gonna
have a motivated DK Metcalf.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
Oh, so the leaks were right so far.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Pittsburgh Steelers Week two, Week three so far? Yeah, let
me seehere's your schedule that you gave me earlier. Far.
So far we're three for three. We'll make it four
for four. New Orleans Week three, Seahawks versus New Orleans
at lumen Field Week three. That's a win. I mean,

(44:35):
that's a win.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
We will.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
Week four. Prim Video, Ladies and Gentlemen, Prim Video. Kirk
herb Street is al Michael still doing Prime Video? I
think he is right.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
As far as I know, he is still with NBC,
which is a.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Carried out all right, And if you get him week four,
he won't be too bitter yet. Like you know how
he hates the.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
Game, tired, just sorry, he just sounds sick of it.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
He does sound just it's it's just beneath him. At
this point. But week week four he should be good
at the Arizona Cardinals. So four for four.

Speaker 4 (45:09):
So what day of the week you said, Thursday.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Night Football Prime video. Kirk kurb Street bringing one of
his dogs. Whatever he's he to me is just weird.
He's turned into a weirdo.

Speaker 4 (45:22):
He is a term I like to use throughout my
radio career to a little big for his bridges.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Something something's off. Doesn't matter. Okay, so week one through
four we've already told you about. Here's where it gets fun.
Week five, a team last year that had a pretty
good season won the NFC South leth That's like being
the tallest short person. They were ten and seven. Baker
and the Tampa at Bay Buccaneers rolling to town Week five,

(45:53):
home game for Seattle. So the so I like that
three of the first five games are at home Tampa
Bay Week five, Week six, This was one I think
we were wondering and we found out obviously with the
international games of the day, It's not we were wondering.
Would Seattle have to travel because I don't know where
Jacksonville plays. They may play in Jacksonville, they may play
in Tottenham. I don't know where the hell they play.

(46:13):
But that will be in Jacksonville. Week six at the
Jacksonville Jaguars. Last time they were there, God, that was
right after a hurricane a few years ago. Remember we
went to the Oh yeah, we went to the hotel
and it was like our hotel was like half open. Yeah,
that was goofy there.

Speaker 4 (46:27):
I'm liking the schedule so far by that's.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
Week six at Jacksonville. Week seven, Monday Night Football, the
Houston Texans Week seven and where that would be at
home roomanfield against another team that was ten and seven
last year. It seems to be a theme here a
lot of teams that were ten and seven taken on
your Seattle Seahawks, probably because wait, the Seahawks were ten

(46:50):
and seven last year, and sometimes the'll schedules match up.
Although this air and a half Seattle the AFC South
this year. That's why that that happens, just kind of
a coincidence, and they get the NFC South at the South,
they get South and South all right. That leads us
into the bye. So seven games before a bye, which
is week eight of the season, not a bad bye week,
to be honest with you, It's not too early. Probably

(47:12):
would probably prefer a little bit later, but that sets
you up for the second half of the season. So
Week eight is a bye I'm gonna go because we
like to play a schedule roulette. I'm gonna go one, two, three, one,
four and one, four and two. I'm gonna go five
and two through the first seven. That's my initial thought.

(47:32):
That's how I see it. Subject to change, subject to change.
I'm going five and two heading into the bye week.
Here's where it gets a little dicey for the next
three weeks. Week nine, a team that surprised everyone last year,
led by a head coach who, by the way, we
had on the radio just a couple weeks ago, Dan Quinn.

(47:53):
In the twelve and five jayde and Daniels led Washington
Commanders host your Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football Week.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
That's gonna be a tough one.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Coming out of a bye. Tough game. Week ten, another
tough game. Arizona's vastly improved eight to nine team last season.
They're better this year. Arizona Week ten at home at
Lumenfield in a key NFC West matchup. Week eleven the
Los Angeles Rams in SOFI Stadium, PA announcer screaming at

(48:23):
the top of his lungs.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
That's probably the most obnoxious person you'll face. And that's
a stadium.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
By the way, Tennessee Titans Week twelve. You know who
the quarterbacks of the Tennessee Titans is in Tennessee and Nashville, Tennessee,
we sure do. Cameron Ward from Incarnate Word. That's who
the quarterback is.

Speaker 4 (48:42):
You gotta give him Wazoo credit.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
Miami from the U.

Speaker 4 (48:48):
He was a kug and he was a good one.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
He was okay, he was okay.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
He was a nice person too, a.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
Really nice guy, and I think I think he'll be successful.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
He got put in a very difficult situation with the
head coach, the coach that brought him there, who got
the job at Washington State. What I can assume is
because he was bringing cam Ward from the corn.

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Yes, and then he jumped out on him.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
And then cam Ward gets this new hot shot of
an offensive coordinator Arbuckle, who is four years older than him,
and the guy tries to do magic tricks and doesn't
try to play to camp strength.

Speaker 4 (49:26):
That's just my story and I'm sticking to it. Oh,
so I didn't blame him.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
You know what I like. I like that thought. I
think I think you're right. I think Morris was a
dipstick and Arbuckle was over his skis and somehow very
Alex grinch like found his way up the top of
the ladder, just like that. Anyway, Tennis Samsy pulled down
to car. Yes, we're twelve at Tennessee. So back to
back roll games. Week thirteen Minnesota Vikings, the Sam Darnold

(49:51):
Revenge Game, Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (49:52):
Oo fun. Week fourteen, Wait, hold on, where is that game?

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Minnesota's here?

Speaker 4 (49:58):
Okay, thank you?

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Week fourteen is in the atl Michael Pennix Junior and
the Atlanta Falcons hosting your Seattle Seahawks second year old.
The Seattle has to go to Atlanta. You're wondering. Last year,
Michael Pennix in the limited time, he played sixty one
of one oh five fifty eight percentage, completing percentage, three touchdowns,

(50:20):
three interceptions. He'll be better this year, but he's still
young guy. We'll see next up week fifteen if he's healthy.
What Anthony Richardson in the Indianapolis Colts, which I'm gonna
get back to a theme here in a second, with
the quarterbacks he I was going to play. That's at Lumenfield.
Week sixteen, also at Lumenfield Thursday Night football the Los

(50:43):
Angeles Rams. That that is a pivotal I mean that
could be, that could be so huge. I mean remember
Prime being like, these guys have picked the nation games.
They kind of get their pick of the litter, and
Primes thought of a lot higher than it used to

(51:04):
be when it was ESPN.

Speaker 7 (51:05):
Is ESPN who did these Thursdaynight game three, NBCNBC, NBC
Sunday are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (51:10):
I think I think it was ESPN, Right they did
Thursday Night football before? Oh yeah, right, well no, only
three had.

Speaker 4 (51:15):
Monday Night Football always.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Anyway, Prime gets their pick. So that's a good that
they think that these two teams will be in it
yes Week sixteen, Week seventeen at the Carolina Panthers, that's
a w Yeah, I agree, Week eighteen at San Francisco.
So the Seahawks have two times this season, both after

(51:38):
the bye week, in which they're playing back to back
road games at the Rams and at Tennessee, and then
they finish off the season back to back road games
at Carolina and at San Francisco.

Speaker 4 (51:54):
So we have a week eight bye.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
Week eight by four primetime games, two Thursday night games,
one Sunday night football game, one Monday night football game.
I counted it up. If you want to count like
second year guys or like inexperienced guys, New Orleans is
going to have more than likely a rookie quarterback. That's one.

(52:16):
Commanders have a second year quarterback in Jade Daniels, but
I don't I'm not gonna count him because he was
great last year. The Titans have a rookie quarterback. That's two.
Minnesota has effectively a rookie quarterback. JJ McCarthy's in his
second year, but he didn't play last year because he's
hurt all season. So that's three. Atlanta Penni's barely played.
That's four young guys. If you want to count Richardson,

(52:39):
which I probably would like, they have five, like really
young quarterbacks that they're going to face this season, first
or second year guys, and in case of Richardson, a
guy that's barely played because of injuries. So there you go.
That's a Seahawks schedule, at least as we have it.
We will fact check ourselves coming up at five o'clock
today with Softy and fine and see how close we
are to nailing that schedule. But that looks like I

(52:59):
didn't did I say five and two earlier? I was
okay five and two the first seven, Yeah, five and three,
six and three, six and four, seven and four, eight
and four, nine and four. Who I'll get back to
that one ten and four. I got ten and four sixteen,

(53:21):
now's fourteen? What am I missing here? I'm missing a
game rams rams niners. Let's say you split those. I
got them eleven and six.

Speaker 4 (53:35):
It's enough to get into the post.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
I'm going to eleven and six. I think that is
that's my That's that's on the air live, with no
research on whatsoever. That's all I can do. We're on
the air live. Our phones aren't working. We're just flying
by the seat of our pants. We don't even know
if the commercials are going to run next.

Speaker 4 (53:51):
Well, maybe that we'll just keep talking.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
We don't even know if our text line, which is
an undrafted and an unrestricted free agent, you can text
it at four nine four five one. Let us know
what you think of the sea schedule. I'm going to
eleven and six h four nine four five one. Text
in your thoughts four nine, four to five to one
on the unrestricted free agent text line, don't bother to call,
they don't work, but that's what it is. Eleven and
six is that a division? Is that enough to win

(54:13):
the division? That's the question. Would eleven and six be
enough to win the division? Oh, here's why, Sammy Washington
was twelve and five last season and didn't win their division.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
That's a good point.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Minnesota was fourteen and three, Green Bay eleven and six,
they didn't win their division.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
I'm not intimidated like I used to be about the
NFC West, though.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
Chargers eleven and six didn't win the division last season,
so eleven and six should will get you in, but
may not win the division, depending on if the Rams
kind of get on a heater. Again, I don't think
the Niners is gonna be much of a factor. I
think Arizona's gonna be much improved. All right, four nine,
four five one. We'll get your text next.

Speaker 5 (54:49):
Bad Testing Live from the R and R Foundation Specialist
Broadcast Studio. Now back to Ian Fornez, powered by Seattle's
Close to the Sports Book Snow call me Casino on
Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ R FM.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
What we got? We back? Hang on a second, I'm
texting somebody.

Speaker 4 (55:16):
We're multitaskers on this show.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (55:20):
I'll let you do one thing at a time and
this rock and bedplay.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
All right, good, all right, welcome in here we are thirty.
What time is it?

Speaker 4 (55:29):
It's two thirty.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
You're welcome. You are not a multitask.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
Our phone's working yet? Can I call anybuddy?

Speaker 4 (55:37):
It is an observant report situation.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Yeah, zero, I'm gonna tell you right now, man, I
like I've had the worst. We've had the worst the
for nets, like, like really about twenty four hours of
like technology in our world?

Speaker 5 (55:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
Things, I'm just I hate like things should work, So
I get madden, things don't work? That should work? Yes, anyway,
let me get to let's get to text four nine
four to five one that I don't even know what
the text music is anymore.

Speaker 4 (56:04):
It's non license sped.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Okay, there we go.

Speaker 4 (56:09):
I do have a text coming all the way from
the five to one six?

Speaker 2 (56:12):
Where's that that is my home? Where's that Long Island?

Speaker 3 (56:19):
I say it long island, but I really say it long.
This is coming from a very special nine year old
by the name of Bo, who is going yes with
my dad. They are on their way to a Mets
game and they coach Mac and Bo are listening and
he said, no offense, your partner is overconfident in eleven

(56:43):
and six.

Speaker 4 (56:44):
Nah, Bro, I think that that's right on the Bo.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
Bo?

Speaker 2 (56:51):
Why aren't you in school right now?

Speaker 10 (56:52):
Bo?

Speaker 4 (56:52):
Because he gets to go to a Mets game every
once in a while.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
That's actually pretty good. Is that Grandpa for him?

Speaker 4 (57:00):
That is his pop pop yet?

Speaker 2 (57:02):
That's awesome?

Speaker 4 (57:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (57:03):
I know.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
Okay, let's get let's get to text that aren't ripping
on the end. Actually, that's gonna be hard to find,
so we'll try to find some anyway.

Speaker 4 (57:11):
No, we uh, we have. We have a couple of
good ones.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
I got one. Let me start with this one, because
I think two of six is six games in the
Eastern time zone has to be the most ever. I
counted five. I think you might be thinking that, let's see,
let's go Eastern times on Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Washington, YEP, Atlanta, Carolina,
Tennessee Central time zone. Yeah, so if you're I mean,
if that's the splitting hairs at that point, but I

(57:37):
think you're he said six in the Eastern time zone,
six of the of the road games, but actually it's
only five. Plus it's Central Time Zone mixed in there
as well as what I've got and then Mountain Time. Well,
Arizona is still on Pacific time at week four. Yeah,
they'll still be in Pacific Time, so outside that it's
all pretty much local. Uh So, yeah, I don't know
if it's the most ever, it'll be interesting. Again.

Speaker 3 (57:58):
I was thinking that too, because Richard Truman was very
vocal about that during his time here. I just remember
that they he really didn't like how many East Eastern
time ten am games.

Speaker 4 (58:08):
That they had.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Thursday games just be on the NFL network. That's Ryan
and Scott Stale, a couple of people.

Speaker 4 (58:13):
Yeah, I forgot that.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
That's what it was, NFL Network, And that's and that
brought up my point about Thursday Night Football that I
knew there was a reason when Prime Video paid all
that money for the Thursday Night Football package. The reason
was is they got good games, or they should get
good games, and.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
The NFL network would always get the best game.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
No, they would get crappy games. Oh, they got the
bad game they got, they got ones, especially as the
season went on. There's a lot of Jacksonville, Tennessee matchups
in there.

Speaker 4 (58:41):
In fact, maybe I block that out here.

Speaker 2 (58:43):
Here's how you know it's a bad game, like a
bad matchup on a national game. If you look up
and you say, who are the teams playing? Where are
they from? Oh, they're AFC South teams. That's right, nobody cares.
Or it's the Chargers which really don't have a home.
Teams like that Carolina, nobody cares teams like That's what
it is. NFL Network did have the games, and thank

(59:03):
you guys for pointing that out. I just wonder where
that was. Why could I not remember that? Anyway, That's
that's what it was. So yeah, you get those games
in that Thursday and football. They're a little bit bigger
deal now, even though it's a streamings thing and people
don't like streaming. Hopefully we're all used to it by now.
Everything's streamed. And while you're on Prime, can I tell
you about the crack and Hockey Network on PRIMEA.

Speaker 4 (59:19):
Please do right, it's right there of the kra In
Hockey Network.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
I've said this, I really truly believe it I'd like
to think it was one hundred percent the talent on
the KRACK and Hockey Network. Yes, I don't think that's
the case. I think a lot of it had to
do with the fact we were on King Kong, but
also Prime Video because people now, because of the NFL,
this is where other sports and leagues should follow suit.

(59:44):
You want to stream Apple's great whatever, you know, we're
gonna have Hidie on on Friday and have an Apple
game on Friday. And the best thing she's done for
Apple is she gets people like me to be subscriber
to subscriber. For the last year, I never to cancel it,
which I probably never watch anything on Apple, but there
I am Prime Video because it has Thursday night football.

(01:00:06):
People go there. It's the like NFL football is so
so heavily consumed and watched on TV. People now go
they're used to going to Prime Video for sports, and
that helped the Kraken immensely, immensely. It helped them. But yeah,
there's that football crew. Okay, so let's get some more techs.
Let's see to shout out to coach Ross played for

(01:00:29):
him years ago, and nobody deserves a state championship more yeah, absolutely,
don't forget, sit out and down. Tumwater absolutely said with
you on those two things. Much like this is two
five three, Much like the old PAC ten slash PAC
twelve used to beat up on itself, usually to its
own detriment. The NFC West as the same thing. I
would expect eleven wins to get it done. The Niners
will fall off but will be dangerous still. The Rams

(01:00:50):
will be dangerous, and the Cardinals they have neat uniforms
or something that's pretty good. Cardinals, most people believe, are
gonna be vastly improved year three with Gannon and everything.
I don't trust Kyler. I think Kyler Murray is one
of those guys. He's going to win them a couple

(01:01:11):
fifty to fifty games, and he's gonna lose them probably
one or two more of those fifty to fifty games.

Speaker 4 (01:01:15):
I would agree with that who.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
That's who, Kyler. But their defenses is improved. Ian so weird,
I said eleven and six. When you said the last
game of San Francisco and Lloyd will and Behold, that's
what you came up with. So it's destined to be sure. Absolutely,
let's go eleven to six get in existence four to
two five. Hey, Ian, I miss weeks four and five
on your breakdown. Please recap them real quick if possible.
Much appreciated P one listener. Hopefully the schedule holds as

(01:01:38):
well as your eleven win guest him at peace from Everett.
So what do you said weeks four and five? Week
four at Arizona Thursday, n Football Week five at Tampa Bay.
I need to go back and remind people this. We
think this is going to be accurate. We won't know
until five o'clock.

Speaker 4 (01:01:54):
That's exactly true, which you have to.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
SOFTI and Fane will have the official schedule at five o'clock.
There's so many leaks. I don't I go back to
the start of the show. I don't understand the leaks,
Like if the NFL really wanted to keep it, you know,
from people from knowing and leaking it out, they would
and they could. I mean the threats of the threats

(01:02:18):
of sanctions against teams because the people that have it,
you know, like the digital department for every team has
it because they're building their graphics for their websites and
all that. Probably a lot of people in the ticketing
department have it because they're gonna be going full board
as soon as this comes out as well, and then
the pr staffs have it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
Like start planning road trips and stuff.

Speaker 10 (01:02:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Yeah, my guy Jeremy's already booked all his flights for
this year, for all his hotels for the Seahawk travel.
But it's it's those guys have it. If they didn't
want it out, if the NFL really didn't want it out,
then they would make sure it wouldn't get out. I'm
always surprised that these leaks come out. I'm gonna guess
it's this thing that we gave. He was probably about
eighty five percent accurate, could be more.

Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
I hope it's more.

Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
Because I like this schedule for Seattle, Yeah I do.
I love that a week eight bye. I always look
at the bye week too, if it's too early or
too eight. I love the week eight bye. And I
really like this schedule just the way it's set. It
sets up, like you said, you know it's too or
it's Oh. I guess they go to the East Coast

(01:03:24):
for the Commanders, which I look at is the hardest
game on their schedule, considering the.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Travel in the outside of outside of the the games
against the Rams forty nine ers. Yeah right, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I think the Rams are the toughest games. They just are.
It just they whatever, It doesn't even matter, you know,
let's just bs. It doesn't matter if it's Jeff Fisher
and Saint Louis, Sean McVay in LA, yeah, or Sean

(01:03:51):
McVay in the LA Coliseum. It doesn't matter. The Rams
are and doesn't matter if it's Peter, if it's if
it's Mike McDonald. Like, the Rams are just a pain
in the ass of this organization.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
It's a stupid punter from the local area who throws.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
There's our guy, Johnny Hecker. Did you know he played
quarterback at baffle High School?

Speaker 5 (01:04:08):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
I never heard that.

Speaker 7 (01:04:09):
On the broadcast somebody mentioned that I ever told I
had no idea, but yeah, apparently he played quarterback at
at Baffall High School.

Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
On that they just have their number somehow. I don't
know why.

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
But we got a couple more hockey wise, we'll get
to to wrap it up. Let's see where was this? Oh, well,
this one. People are crazy already put money on the
hawkswing the division and the over on wins for the season.
They're not the third or fourth team in the NFC West.
That's nuts. Yeah, I think they have the fourth highest
win total in Vegas. Right yeah, first Seattle does like

(01:04:39):
they'd be picked last in that sense. Finally, three six
o off cap season ends today. I want to see
Coach Love having drinks and poutine with Lywiki at the
thirty two Bar and grill tomorrow. I think the thing
is li Wiki's got He's got a table, same table
he sits in for lunch every day at the thirty
two Bar if he wants, If he eats lunch there,
they've got one table reserve for li Wiki every right there.

Speaker 4 (01:05:00):
I've seen him a couple of times.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
I wonder if he's right by where we do our
show get missed all the week he sitting here, Yes,
yes he can. He's we're not going to interrupt us.
Actually he does interrupt us, but we love him for it. Anyway.

Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
Yeah, let me throw a headst on him and make it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
I don't know if if, if Coach Love would be
out here by tomorrow, if they if they get knocked
out tonight, bulls uh. Finally, what was Keith Miller say?
I'm low key rooting for Trump versus Edmonton standle like
CA Final just to hear Anders squirm. So am I?
So am I?

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
And with MJ the next couple of days. So he
he'll have to be a part of cross talk.

Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
And is uh.

Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
He's kind of I put him in the same category
as our current president in terms of how he feels
about our friends, our neighbors to the north.

Speaker 4 (01:05:44):
He does not like Canadian teams.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
You know, the two people in our country that hate
the Canadians more than anything else, or Anders and Trump
like they just hate him. I don't know what the
deal is and I never took Anders for that kind
of guy, but he doesn't like.

Speaker 4 (01:05:57):
Oh wow, yeah, that is very very scific categorization.

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Like public enemy number one north of the border, the
guy with the weird hair and the guy that played
soccer at Seattle. You those are the two they both hate.
They both hate Canadians.

Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
I'll make a T shirt. Yeah, it's equating them.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
Actually, be pretty funny, a Trump T shirt with trumpet
and Anders.

Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
On it, I mean us and has better hair. Let's
be honest.

Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
Well, it's not fake and it's not weird colored, like
it's not yellow whatever color that is. But yeah, those
two peas in the pod. They both they both hate
the Canadians.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
By the way, Bo was in school, but what they're
on the East coast. So my dad just picked him
up instead of setting him home on the bus. So
he went to school today. All right, just letting you know,
thank you, we're not irresponsible youth family.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Well, your dad is a football coach. I mean he's
got to worry about eligibility and things like that, doesn't he.

Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
Yeah, yeah, but at nine, I think he's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
All right, we're good. Are good for? Are we good for? Now?

Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
I think we're solid?

Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
All right, soft he's gonna join us next, all right,

(01:07:20):
Dave Softy Maller has made his way into the radio studio.

Speaker 6 (01:07:27):
I think we could fit a horse in here. By
the way, Oh yeah, could you get through the door?
Your better than Yeah, Kobe could fit. He's pretty big.
He's a big boy. He's like width wise, well he's
huge up here, but like the height of the door.
But they with, yeah, they're with he would fit. Yeah
that door is pretty wide. Okay, but he'd be close.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
He'd be close.

Speaker 6 (01:07:47):
Hey, why don't you do me a favorite? What do
you think rich More would do if he brought a
horse in the office. What did Griffy do? He brought
a cow into Penela's office? Remember when they sent the
email out of what well he lost it. He lost
a sake dinners. It was a march madness bed I believe, okay,
and you lost the steak dinner to Panela. So he
brought in a cow in to lose office.

Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
We sent out the email like six months ago. Maybe
it was a year now. I don't know. No more
dogs in the office.

Speaker 4 (01:08:13):
Yeah, I know, it's over a year.

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
Never said horses. No, that is not enough. It wasn't pets, right,
it was just it was just dog.

Speaker 4 (01:08:21):
It was just friends.

Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
I think. Didn't we call that? Didn't we call that
the Jim morrule?

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
We did? What do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
What do you think the other more rich more would
do if I brought a horse into the office.

Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
Well, we'd probably get another email.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
There would be an.

Speaker 6 (01:08:34):
Email no non humans in the office. You know what,
I'm gonna Junkie, you can't come to work anymore. Sorry,
I'm gonna urge you not to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
You know why, because that would result in like in
a meeting, like we'd have one of those all staff
you have to attend, can't be on teams.

Speaker 6 (01:08:49):
Well, and plus Jessmon knows because she's been around horses before.
They leave an odor behind, and they leave other things
too behind, don't they kind of? And it's somebody else
I know, right, leaves an order behind, right, so that
that would not be good at all anyway, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
You know, bring the horse in man, why not? Yeah, hey,
continue to do that. Of course you have like a
horse that ring up, well, yeah, we don't have one,
but they exist. But I think you should do it.

Speaker 6 (01:09:15):
Right, a horse trailer just kJ our logo on the
side of it and drive it up by five from
Buckley to Queen Anne.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
That would rank bring it into the office. What the hell?
That would rank.

Speaker 6 (01:09:23):
Among the great moments of kids our history. We've gone
from the sports hog to a horse trailer with our
logo on it. How come we don't see our logo
on more things?

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
By the way around town.

Speaker 6 (01:09:33):
Arm Foundation specialist. There's like five people that see that,
by the way, okay, three Jackson's four dick.

Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
Fine, that's about it.

Speaker 6 (01:09:40):
Right, by the way, thanks for ruining the surprise, pal.
I know you're well to five o'clock.

Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
These are just alleged.

Speaker 6 (01:09:48):
I mean, I got the whole things sitting here, you
know that, And I was going to just say, you
know what, I'll get a couple of leaks out there.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
You know a little leakage. You know, fifty one years old,
little leakage. We all have that.

Speaker 6 (01:09:57):
Sometimes things happen, it does, and then boom, you just
blew the whole place to Kingdom.

Speaker 7 (01:10:01):
Come.

Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
I came in there, and you got to get the
fabreeze out, the ear fresh, the whole thing. Who was first,
Hot Blogger Corbyn Ian Curtis for the entire schedule we
got for the Seahawks. Yeah, for the for the whole morning,
all seventeen games. I first, well, I then reported it.

Speaker 6 (01:10:20):
The first person I heard of doing it was you
because I was in the sports pit and someone said
he just came out the whole schedule.

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:10:27):
So and then apparently Corbyn put it out and Hawk
blogger put it out and those guys put it out.
So yeah, I mean, we we reported last night. Thanks
for the retweet.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
By the way, that is such a douchey thing for
someone to say, did I retweet it?

Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
You're pretty good at it?

Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
See my tweet? Did you re could I get a retweet,
Well you might. You know how engaged I am on
the social media.

Speaker 6 (01:10:48):
World's more dude, Holy cow. But we put the Niner
thing out there yesterday. Apparently Greg Bell was busting my balls.
This morning, I heard on my show pretending I know
the schedule. Who's laughing now, Gregory? Gregory, Well, it's still
not official in you suck, Greg.

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
Greg Reedy. So you put out the forty nine ers opener,
I did. Did you have the forty Niners end of
the season game too?

Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
I did not put that. That's true, one like book
ending is true. First of all.

Speaker 6 (01:11:15):
Okay, because you put it out there, well, I don't
put out any false information.

Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
I've had the disclaimer all day, just in case, just
in case you mess up.

Speaker 6 (01:11:23):
Well, see, there's an old trick where I go on
Twitter and I say I'm hearing I'm hearing, you know,
or the rumor mill says, but I've I've put out
I've had the schedule since last night. And I I
asked Dick and Jackson do you guys want this? And
Dick says no, Jackson says, yeah, give it, give me
so so just to see it, not even talking about right,
I put out. I put out a couple of games.

(01:11:44):
I put out the Niners, and I put out the
Texans on Monday night, and that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
The rest of it.

Speaker 6 (01:11:48):
I left alone thinking that maybe there was a reason
to be surprised at five o'clock. And then mister Sportscaster
of the Year comes over here. He doesn't have that title,
tramples on the whole freaking thing.

Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
Probably won't that now.

Speaker 6 (01:12:01):
Yeah, I mean the first thing I look at, or
used to look at, is the Husky Seahawk road trip possibilities.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
Do you have a Husky? The schedule all the time
they go to.

Speaker 6 (01:12:09):
They go to Maryland to play the Terps in DC,
and there's a Commander's game on Sunday night, it's not
the same week, and they play at UCLA. The Huskies
do on November twenty second, but that week they're going
to be in Nashville at the Titans. So that would
have been nice to do a little Rose Bowl Sofi
Stadium thing. I haven't been to Sofi yet. Been to

(01:12:31):
Rose Bowl many many times. I was there a month
ago or three weeks ago for ac DC, which was
freaking awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
You can you can feel like you're so far when
you hear that guy screaming through the TV set or announcer, But.

Speaker 6 (01:12:42):
Is that the same guy that does the USC game
by the way, so he was there two years ago,
Well we went down there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
Oh my god, unbelievable. It's the worst. How can they
allow that? I don't know, it's horrible. Well, even USC
fans hate the guy when you have when you have
no fans of your own in the stadium. But the
RAS don't they just that guy. So outside of the
big skinul release at five o'clock, which has been released
Petros forst or So, Yeah, he's real fired up.

Speaker 6 (01:13:09):
Yeah, that and Pete Rose talk with Petro's coming up
at four pm hour, we'll obviously go over the entire schedule.
Mariner's Yankees comes to an end soon. We'll chat about that.
Uh you know, look, man, I mean here we are.
We're not even you know, to Memorial Day, and three
fifths of your rotation has been on the inter list
and it's on the injury list right now. So there's
two things about that that are incredible to me, and

(01:13:30):
we'll discuss them both next.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
That's a tease, babe, ladies and gentlemen. Is a professional,
soon to be a sportscaster of the year, so
