One of my favorite shows of all time Impractical Jokers jumped on the O Show with me to talk about the Drive Drive Drive Tour coming to Atlanta Symphony Hall June 22nd. Mishaps on the road, the awkward moment at an Atlanta car wash he had and who gets the shock collar on tour.

What's going on as Otis with theO Show. And I got to say,
one of my favorite people of theplanet who've never got the chance to
meet, but I'm excited to talkto you because in practical jokers, it's
probably my favorite show of the entireplanet ever. Yeah, I'll take it.
I think I've been like a onesince day one because that show I
picked up on like so fast, and I've watched almost, I believe,

(00:20):
every single episode just because you guysare so hilarious and how much you screw
with each other and it makes methink of my own friends and I'm so
jealous that y'all came up with theidea before my friend's death. That is
my number one favorite thing to here. Uh, and we've heard it a
lot. Is like, oh mygod, you guys stole the show me
and my friends would make, whichI love. Yeah, it's so connected

(00:43):
done that way, I get it. Yeah, it took prank shows to
like a different realm I think, and it just you guys pull it off
incredibly and your humor is spot onwith exactly what me and my boys are
like. So yeah, great man, I love to hear it. Broy.
You know how all of you, buddy, forty three, forty three,
Yeah, all right, So I'ma little older than you. But

(01:03):
the show started yeah, oh mygod, it started when you were in
your thirties, so you're like me. You know, we started making the
show, I was thirty six,so you know, it could be argued
that I don't act my age.Yeah. I saw you talking about this
a little bit, and somebody atsome point when you pitched the show told

(01:25):
you you're way too old for TVto do this. Our agent, our
own agent, said you have tosell it as a show, as a
show for younger people because no onewill put you on TV because you're too
old. Our agents great. Soknowing that statement and I know it gave
you a lot of drive to justpush further for it. What have you

(01:46):
done so far in your career? In what are there twelve seasons of this
show? We're going on thirteen, coming on eleven now, and we start
shooting twelve. We already signed fortwelve, so twelve at least. Yeah,
so eleven's coming up with July eleventhon TV. I think it's yes,
Okay, that's a lot. Sowhat have you done so far in
this length of your career. Thatwas a moment was there was a big

(02:07):
middle finger to that statement, tothat person that said that, Oh man,
I mean, look, look, and I rip on him a lot.
He's not our agent anymore. Butit wasn't for that that statement.
He's a good guy and a goodagent. Yeah, and he was probably,
you know, ninety eight percent ofthe times he probably would have been
right, but for some reason.Look, when we sold it, we

(02:29):
got offers from both True TV andMTV, and MTV said we'll pay you
a certain amount of money, butwe're going to do exactly what our agents
at the time. We're going tomake it into a game show for teenagers
where every week different teenagers compete inthese things. And True TV was like,
well, how about this. Wewon't give you as much money,

(02:52):
but we'll put you on TV andyou could be in the show. And
I got out voted three to one. I said, let's go to MTV,
and I'm glad to be wrong. So, you know, from moment
one, it was it's like everyday is kind of like, how the
hell did we pull this off?Still, you know, yeah, I

(03:14):
don't know if that answered your questionanswer. I had so two of my
favorite bits. You guys do thegrocery shop grove grocery cart basketball game where
you got to throw the toilet paperor whatever. I love that. Me
and my son do that in thegrocery store store shootout, we call it.
My wife hates it because we doit to her cart. Uh.
And then when you clip balloons topeople on the grocery store as well.

(03:36):
I haven't pulled that off in alive setting yet. You want to hear
a funny story about that, boy? Yes, that because I was a
fireman in New York City. Iworked at a latter eighty six, right
and uh, when I first startedin the firehouse, that's for the guys.
And we went to go to thesupermarket to get the meal, and
there's a photo of me somewhere around. One of the guys took it.

(03:57):
This was back in two thousand andfive. And you know, I was
at the supermarket and I was newon the job, and I was walking
around in my gear. You shopand your gear, you know what I
mean? You know, feel prettygood about myself. You know, I'm
a fire man. What's up,ladies? How you doing? Kids looking
at you like your superman. Andthen after a while, like people are
looking at me with like smiles ontheir faces, and I couldn't figure out

(04:18):
why the guys had hooked to Thomasthe tank engine balloons to the back of
my bunker gear. So I waswalking through the store like this, like,
you know, like this big timehero, proud of myself, and
I looked like an idiot. Andso I stole that from the guys and
put it on TV. They bringthat up all the time. The bit

(04:39):
was born. I love that.Now. I know that you've probably been
asked this a lot because you doso many strange things to people. Has
there ever been a moment where somebodypunched you or you got close to getting
punched? No, I mean Murraygets close to being punched all the time
just because he's mumery, you know. And yeah, Exaft, that makes

(05:01):
you want to really just floor theguy. Yeah, but no, that's
a joke. I love. Butnow we you know, it has happened
very frequently. It happened maybe overall these years, less than ten times.
Because we don't go out to makepeople look or feel stupid, so
very rarely is that angry reaction evennatural to the moment, Because most people

(05:25):
are looking at us like, whatis wrong with these guys? And why
these guys so stupid? We don'tfeel dangerous, we don't feel like we're
making fun of them. So mostpeople are just kind of amused it has
happened. But it's usually someone havinga bad day or somebody who's a little
off in the head. Yeah, you know, the only people you like
to make look stupid is South whenthere's a cat involved or something. Well,
he does that on his own.I for many years I tried to

(05:47):
stop South from looking stupid. Turnedback to Tide man, absolutely, have
you ever gone, because you're cominghere June twenty second, you're gonna at
Atlanta Symphony Hall, have you evergone out into the crowd, maybe in
disguise or messed with the people standingin line, just to see We don't
do it on this tour. Butwe had a bit that we shot in

(06:11):
the last one or the one beforeit, where we did mean full prosthetics,
and I went out and I wasjust bad mouthing Sally and Murray and
Joe and trying to get people agreethat I was the best, you know,
And then we edit it down, and of course we only edited in
the people who were like, Qsuck. You know what I mean?
You know, so, you know, making ourselves look bad is the name

(06:32):
of the game. So we've doneit. We've done it. This time,
we don't this this tour, weactually bring someone up on stage and
we put Salent shock collars and welet them press the buttons to shock him
while he's telling a story. Theopposite this time, we're letting people mess
with us on this tour. Now, I would imagine that the level of

(06:55):
trust people have in you has gonedown since you've done this show, just
because they're probably always on guard likeis he doing something? Is he not?
Have you ever had that situation wheresomething became a big fail or something
was going wrong and they're like, come on cue, what what are we
doing here? Cameras? Yeah, most recently it happened last summer. I
had bought when we shot the movie. We actually shot the movie mostly in

(07:17):
Atlanta. We were down there forlike a couple of months, and we
in the movie We drive It's nineteeneighty nine Crowned Victoria, Powder Blue,
and I bought it when the movieended because I just loved it so muchs
actually in my driveway right now Ijust got it touched up. And last

(07:38):
year I let the battery die likean idiot, I jumped it and then
drove it to a car wash tojust get off the loose dirt, and
the battery died installed and just beforehe was about to go into the drive
and the line started building up behindme and people were annoyed. And then

(07:58):
they saw me and I was like, like, could you help me?
Just push the car out of theway, And people are like, oh,
yeah, right, you're pushing thewalking I'm gonna get allll soaked.
And I was like no, no, no, I was like, I
just I please, I just needhelping. It took a while, like
the work whoe ended up helped mewith the workers and the thing. They
didn't speak English, so they didn'tknow who I was and they helped me.

(08:20):
But yeah, I was running, nobody wanted to help me. Amazing.
I've always said to my wife,if I happened to run into you
guys, I feel like I wouldrecognize you immediately, but I would go
along with the bit I would Iwould just play. I probably would have
helped you out and still been waitingfor the punchline. Like with what's gonna
happen here? You know what Imean? All right? Comedy tour coming

(08:41):
through June twenty second, Atlanta SymphonyHall. I've not got a chance to
see you guys live. I'm oneof those bucket list things. Unfortunately,
I'd be out of town when you'rehere. Oh man, So I'm gonna
catch you on the next one.But what can we expect on this year's
tour that may be a little bitdifferent. I know you said you bring
somebody up on stage for the shotcollar. We bring someone up on the
stage. We tell the saga ofmers Wig made for my hair that was

(09:05):
an incredible like series of episodes.Right, well, that wig, we
bring it on stage. We wewe show it up. They'll have it
great. It's about it. Youknow. We show videos that we can't
show on television. We got somevideos with goattoing it. He's up there
with us in the videos and whatnot. It's just, you know, it's
just like a popeurreeve of fun andpractical jokers stuff. But we try and

(09:30):
each show make it a little differentfrom the from the from the one before.
We made this one a little bitmore interactive in a few different ways.
I love that. Brian Quinn Qfrom A Practical Jokers June twenty second,
going to be at Atlanta Symphony Hall. Definitely grab those tickets. Incredible
show coming up again. What Isaid June July eleventh, TBS, I'm
looking at your socials right, hell, so you know they send me these

(09:52):
dates and I never look at them, right And then yeah, July eleventh,
TBS, I just checked your socialmedia. Thank you. I appreciate
you know that information because I youknow, it's like to me, it's
just like at this point, we'vebeen on so long and I'm just like
a nobody watches it first run.I wish you would the ratings, you
know, I would love it,but like people just watch it on repeat
all the time, so I don'teven worry about stuff. I watch episodes

(10:15):
I've seen fourteen times and still laugh. My wife's favorite to this day,
she will cry laughing, and we'vewatched it probably fifteen times. Is when
Murr's mouth was like novacane and thenhe had to go into teach the class
and he was just drooling and couldn'tplay. Is brilliant, tim to tell
you Beef World. She will tearup and just be full port tears on

(10:41):
that episode every single Oh that's sofunny. What's great is we just this
shows you how the times change. We just recreated that for commercial, uh,
for TBS for the move over toTVs, and you know, MERR
did it. He's a trooper, merle do anything. And GVS was like,
Oh, I don't think we're gonnawe're gonna use it because he like,

(11:03):
he looks too messed up. He'slike, it's not like it wasn't
the and it was. I don'tknow why it hit him differently this time,
but like it did. It wasn'ta good look. That was one
thing. I guess my wife's gonnabe so disappointed not you cue. Keep
doing what you're doing. Man,You're doing incredible things, absolutely hilarious for

(11:26):
the show, and I hope thetour goes incredible this year as well.
Man. Thank you very much, man, nice talking man. I appreciate
it. God bless you. Man. Take it easy, dude. Thank
you for your time. Dude, that's a lot of fun. Thank you
for the time and the hell promoting. I really appreciate it. I tried
reaching out to you a couple probablytwo years ago. To get you get
you guys on the show, andI didn't hear back because you were you

(11:46):
were through a couple of years agotoo, and uh, like I said,
I uh love this show. SoI was like, man, I
got to get those guys on,and I mean, you're real easy to
talk to, so I'm surprised. You know who knows we we we we
switched pr people every every year,so who the hell knows who's looped in
and not looped in? Yeah?Yeah, well cool man, tell the
guys that I'm a huge fan.If you, thank you so much.

(12:09):
How do you work with your name? Brittany? And yeah, Brittany said
alone, absolutely dealing with us onyour TV so often. Cool And hopefully
next time you come through Atlanta oranytime you come through Atlanta, I'd love
to say hey, or you know, coming up to the show. So
I'm gonna yeah, well, ifyou're missing us this store, I think
the next tour will probably be afterseason twelve, and then we might even

(12:31):
have Joe back on tour with usthen, so I probably you know,
yeah, I'm sure, but Ido hosting for the Atlanta Braves too,
So anytime if you ever come,I know you're a Mets fan. God.
I was gonna bring that up too. I was gonna, oh,
man, yeah, all right,if I ever come through. But I
got your number, man, I'llhit you up. I love baseball absolutely
so I do all the fan gamesin between and stuff. That's cool.

(12:54):
