Speaker 1 (00:22):
Let's have a kick ass Thursday. Thursday's the new Friday,
the weekend begins. We have lots to get to today.
Every Thursday, old school win fifty hits, so we throw
it back, We rewind, we reminisced, we get you involved,
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Let's just say
we're gonna talk six oh or something like that. We're
gonna celebrate somebody win fifty hits on the clock, so

(00:45):
stay tuned. It's perfect that we have Mansi here for
a good female perspective because there's a hypothetical floating around
social media today and it has to do with who's
the most eligible bachelor that's gonna be at Jeff Bezos's wedding.
Two guys are now apparently you know best bros. They're
hanging on water taxis in Venice already one's an athlete,

(01:05):
one's an actor, and they're browing it up and it's
a funny hypothetically. And of course we have to talk
about being a father, being a parent. There's a story
in sports that involves being a dad and what you
expect from your kid, and also involves the NBA Draft.
And we have to give our reaction on the NBA

(01:26):
Draft Day one yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Cooper Flag is the man. We knew that.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
No surprise there Day two today, But what were your
immediate reactions? What were your thoughts? Did you tune in?
Was it kind of boring? What were they wearing? Were
you impressed by that? Did you say, huh what?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
What's that?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Any surprises?

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Let us know?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Eighty seven seven ninety nine on fucks, I gotta ask
you a question. If if you want to have this conversation,
you'll gonna keep it real. Where you want me to lie?

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Lie to me?

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Jerry, lot of me, Jerry, keep it real. I didn't
watch the NBA Draft. I mean, Cooper Flag was going
number one. Who sits there and watches it, it's just on.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I watched it on.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I watched the NFL Draft, but I was nobody doing
things you could be busy doing things still have it on,
meaning like I had it on, but I was doing
the scroll, I was on my phone, I was sliding
around my kitchen floor. Evedn't get that from me. I
swept up a little bit, cleaned the counters off. I mean,
it was just on.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Rich making me feel like a loser because I watched
the entire thing.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
But you sit there, Honestly, Danny, do you sit there
glued and watch the whole thing or you just have.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
It on like the first five picks, yeah, shot, then
after that it was on in the background.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
No, that's fair, and then you see, yeah, that makes
perfect sense, especially Danny being the resident Laker fan.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
We had a buddy in town. We got a couple
of coffee, caught up with an old friend. I went
to the gym, got home, and my wife and I
got dinner, like honestly, like I was like.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Oh, yeah, it's at the NBA draft.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
But I think the fun of social media in twenty
twenty five is you don't feel like you miss anything away.
When Rich says we caught up with an old friend,
it wasn't like some guy named Ebenezer. It wasn't like
Sam the old guy, not u io Sam, just yeah,
Sam the butcher.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
You have an old guy names actually Sam's a young
guy name.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Some call me an old man.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
At now you are you are, You're the bee's knees.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So you don't pick up any what a Nichols caught
up with a friend we haven't seen in a minute,
and yeah we had a busy day, but still had
the draft on when I got home, and today's day
two of the draft. First thing I noticed, again this
seems to be a commonality in the NBA world. I

(03:37):
felt like the excitement level wasn't that grand. And these
are just observations, it's not nitpicking. It is what I
felt like. I felt like it wasn't the excitement you
get from the NFL, not even close, not even in
those same well ball park wouldn't really be the arena,
it would not even the same arena stadium. Yeah, and
again maybe that has to do with because the first
pick was that obvious. Everybody knew Cooper Flag would be in.

(04:00):
But then you make the other observation. It seemed like
some players weren't that pumped to be on the team
they were drafted.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
That that's my one and only observation.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Of course, we all knew Cooper flag was gonna go
number one, and yeah, could that have given Nico more
time in Dallas, Dallas, Dallas.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
A sudden looks like they're right there again, right.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
They're all in the mid looks as at the Mavericks
official draft party were still chanting to fire him.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Poor guy. He's like, no, keep Nico, keep Niko.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
The two guys that stuck out to me South Carolina
is Colin Murray Boyles. He gets drafted by the Raptors
and they pant to him and all you see is
him mouth fouge, but he didn't say funch fuge and
you're like, is that the excitement? Like, oh man, the

(04:53):
anxiety's over because he tried to sell it as yeah, man,
it's like the anxiety was over. I just I finally
knew where I was gonna go. So I think it
was a because now I have to go move to Canada.
He's a Southern kid, South Carolina got to move to Canada.
Now you have to know you're on camera, right, so
you have to be careful of what you do and say.

(05:13):
And in that moment, so we saw a natural reaction there.
I'm with Rich. I think that the other reaction Ace
Bailey got drafted by there was no reaction to jazz
and he's like his reaction was like, I'm blessed. I
guess I'll make millions there. But you know what, he
actually spoke and said, he's apparently he's all jazzed now.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
He was jazzed up to play in Utah.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Leading up to the draft, he made it known he
did not want to go to Utah.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Yeah, that was not one of his preferred destinations.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Flipped the script on it though, and said the right
things right, you know.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
Afterward the Raptors before you move on from the Colin
Murray Boyles, they posted a pic.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
So the Toronto Raptors X account posted.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
A picture of him smiling and it says, see, guys,
he's happy.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
I read he's all Jazz's No, she's talking about the
Raptors the F bomb, but they're you know what, they
should be happy.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
That's just how it is. Like you made it into
the NBA.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
You're the zero point one percent of the chosen people
that were good enough to get this far. You're living
every kid's dreams. That so, yeah, you might not want
to play on that team. But guess what if somebody
you're getting your feet wet, you're getting the experience in
the NBA to earn that big contract, and if you're
really the man, turn that franchise around like a like
a Yiannist. Did you know you think he wanted to

(06:35):
play in Melia Wake, I don't know, but he made
it his home and he made the best of it.
If you're really the guy, you could change that franchise.
So to me, I don't give a Diddley squat. If
you're happy or not, you should be. You should be
thrilled that you just change your family stars. No matter
where you end up, well, no matter where you play
in the NBA, the money is huge for first round

(06:55):
picks and guys that end up signing deals, right dude,
Also less pressure if you end up on a weak
ass team, and that's where you get your feet wet, man,
That's where you you learn the ropes. That's where you
acclimate to the NBA. I'm glad you said that, because
there's a couple of layers here. Unless you're a Cooper Flag,
who you could feel will likely make an impact right away.
If you are a top ten pick pick eight, nine

(07:16):
or ten. Do you feel less pressure if you end
up in like you know, playing for the Hornets?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Or do you want to play for the Knicks, the Lakers,
the Celtics. Do you rather drop and try to find
your way onto a premier team? Or is there something
to be said about listen man, I there's sure something
to be said about you and I learning the talk
radio ropes in the bubble of serious XM. It's a big,
gigantic bubble, but it's still a bubble on the grand

(07:43):
scheme of things, so that when we come here to
Fox Sports Radio, people are like, bamn, they're ready.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
There was less pressure there.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
These guys get to learn the game some much faster
game and again acclimate like I said, and work their
way up to that bigger contract, that bigger city, that
big your platform, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Also, you want time on the floor, You want to
be in the lineup, you want to be in the
game experience. Did Dalton connect get to play any minutes
in the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Dude? You get your reps?

Speaker 6 (08:11):
What I mean?

Speaker 1 (08:11):
You get your reps now? If Dalton connects on another team,
he's getting all the minutes but he's not on the Lakers.
So there's so many angles and ways to look at this.
You're right, Cavino, it's a good way to get your
feet wet. You could make a difference on a franchise
with very little expectation.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
And playing time. You know, less eyes on you, you
get more playing time.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
But I'm just saying I point this out a lot
of Cavino during the NFL draft. There's a big difference
between getting drafted and finding out, all right, I'm going
to live in southern California and play for the Rams.
I'm going to live in Jersey or New York can
play for the Giants or Jets, versus I'm moving to
Green Bay, Wisconsin. So what you're getting paid nicely and

(08:53):
you're again you're one of the chosen ones. Everybody makes
sacrifices for their career. Don't act NBA there is a difference.
But how many people in our industry, Like every industry,
please chime in and represent But in our industry, if
you really want to make it, you gotta be willing
to sacrifice and move somewhere else in small markets. So

(09:13):
you think I'm gonna feel sorry for the guy who's
in the NBA, not a show.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
I'm not saying feel bad for him, but you have
to acknowledge.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
No, they should be grateful, they should like it. That's
just look at a draw. That's why it's a draft,
and it's temporary. They'll end up somewhere else if they're
good enough. I know what you're saying. I'm just saying
you're allowed to have that emotion. Yeah, you don't let
it show you. And we saw it. We saw visible
disappointment last night. Whether they want to spin it or not,
there's the truth and the spin. The truth is we

(09:42):
saw with our own eyes disappointment. It wasn't there was
an excitement. Was there excitement we would have been able
to see it. We saw maybe relief. You could try
to spin that, but we got to spin like, no,
they're all happy. I don't know about that, but they
should be happy. You do look like an entitled little
a hole. I'm I'm not calling out anyone in particular,

(10:02):
but the sentiment of looking disappointed being drafted.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Is like the ultimate like are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Like are you out of your f in mind? Like
oooh man, you're in the NBA. But to say that
you don't understand a little bit. Yes, you know, because
there's pros and cons.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
All right.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
You may end up in a bigger city where the
sun shining brighter, but you get no playing time.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Where do you get to shine? I know?

Speaker 1 (10:25):
But this guy and me get to shine in and
on a smaller market team that's more important. So there's
pros and cons and they're just looking at it glass
half empty. There are guys that got drafted in the
NFL and the NBA where everything lines up where it's like,
he's a Florida kid, he was a Gator in college
and now he's playing for the Buccaneers and you're like, yo,

(10:47):
his family, his life is college, everything, he's in the
same state. And to those people, that doesn't always pan out. No,
But what I'm saying is that's a scenario where it's like,
oh my god, amazing. Or you live in the South,
you went to Georgia and college and now you're playing
for the Falcons or the same So the you know, Panthers,
you're you're there. You're taking some of these kids and saying,
all right, young man, you grew up in a small

(11:07):
town in South Carolina. Yeah, now you're going to Utah
or Toronto or you know, across the country. Agreed, privileged
and blessed. It's not awesome necessarily, again depending on how
you look at it. No, it's awesome playing. What's awesome, growing,
what's awesome putting up great numbers so you can get

(11:28):
that bigger contract to a bigger city. Like, what's so
awesome about playing on a major market team and you're
not playing at all? I hear you, right, So there's
just pros and cons depending on how you look at it,
Like you're basing it on lifestyle and location and summer fun,
but you downplay the personal side of this, like there's
a big difference if you're yours, but they're not at
that level.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
They're just out of college. I get it. I think
they can make that sacrifice making millions.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
You're blessed.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I'm saying, put aside the fact that yes, we all
agree they're blessed, and you look like a complete weenie
if you complain about being it into the pros. But
there is a big difference between Yo, Cavino, you're a
young guy in the NFL with the twenty third pick,
so and so goes to the Dolphins're like.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Versus Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Every time we saw someone drafted in the NFL, for example,
you saw everyone, no matter what it was proud to
put on that hat because they made it, dude, they
made it feel.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
It feels a little bit different in that league a
little bit the draft. The NBA players feel just a
little more entitled, the little players, I mean.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
And don't blame us for making the observation. It's an
obvious one. It's an obvious servation. We're just calling it
as we see it. Tell everyone's just not picking on anybody.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Everyone's going ro.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Hugging Roger Goodell. Everyone's all smiles, put on the hat.
Post interviews like y'all bringing my best and I'm gonna
give it to Cowboy Nation, you know, like the NBA,
it's just a different vibe.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
Also, like half of these guys made a ton of
money in NIL already, and you're mad or you're annoyed.
It's hard, Like, you know, I get it, as Bailey,
you don't want to be there, but you.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Are on the smallest of levels though, Moncie. Right when
your aunt Sharon bought your Christmas gift and it was
a bunny costume.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Didn't you fake it?

Speaker 1 (13:09):
A little bit like Aunt Sharon A.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Yeah, absolute, you got globe.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
You gotta fake then unk. You're on TV, they're paying
you money, they believe in you, they drafted you. Show
a little.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Bit of of of what what's the word?

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Just be grateful? Yeah, that's all we're saying. When is
that out of style? You're gonna pount like a big baby,
because that's what we saw. It wasn't the most drastic
thing in the world, but it was obvious. That's why
I went viral. That's what everybody sort of saw. So
we'd be lying to say that we didn't notice it,

(13:49):
but I noticed it. Can't you at least admit though
that while yes, you got to fake the funk, you
got to be grateful. Some people do get a little
luckier than Like, let's look at your Yankees. Anthony Volpi
grew up a Yankees fan, Derek Jeters his hero, and
now he's the shortstop of the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Like some people's story is just he manifested a little
harder out of it.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
But I'm saying, like there's guys that absolutely, I'll give
you gread You know what, Anthony Vopie has to a
ton of pressure on the guy. But where you know,
people are like, he's not caught out from New York.
Let's just face it, He's not the guy. He's no
devern Geeta. If he was playing in Colorado, I'd be
lighting it up, everyone be kissing his ass.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Hey, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
So there's there's pros and cons. He's learning as we
go on the biggest in the biggest city possible.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
There's a lot of pressure on Vulpy. Who's Danny G's
favorite football quarterback he loves to talk about every day.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Danny g favorite quarterback that he loves to talk about
it Aaron row Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
His story book was California.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Your kid grew up idolizing Joe Montana went to cal
Niners had the top pick. That storyline in his mind
would have been like, and now I'm a Niner. Does
not work out that way, goes to Wisconsin, has to
sit behind Aaron Rodgers. Brett Favre finds his way and everything.
But I'm just saying, like, some people's story is a

(15:21):
hell of a lot sweeter than others. Some We're gonna
talk about a few of them later on today. One
of them is somebody's birthday O fact today. And there's
another story too. We'll take your phone calls on this.
Not everybody, but.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
There was some sense of lack of gratitude.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Another observation, was it Trey Johnson? Was it Trey Johnson?
Danny g Number six to the Wizard, number six to
the Wizards. We haven't seen this since the other tray
Tray Young or the had the angus Angus Young Young look. Yeah,
it looked like he was about to go on tour.
A lot of people think it's cool when Angus Young
does it. He's the oldest school I've ever seen. Angus

(16:01):
Young's one hundred and eighty years old. We're in a
school boy outfit from ac DC.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
What's the deal? I get it.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Trends change, you know. Don't want to sound like the
old guy, but the whole little schoolboy shorts with the
suit like, what is that?

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Come on?

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Turn you on?

Speaker 4 (16:19):
No, they said business from the waist above and ac
DC below the belt.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Hey listen, yeah, listen.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Some men, some men like the school girl outfit, Monzi,
do you like the school boy outfit?

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Not as much? I prefer the schoolgirl outfit?

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Okay, yeah, yeah, sexy right he actually did look excited,
so I got to give him the pass, but I
have to say, what the hell is he wearing? Even
though when we look back to the nineties drafts you
see all these oversized suits and everything. You know, like
it's always funny, but that was absurd.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
I got to throw in one quick thing too, because
you guys were using the word gratitude. You weren't tuned
in at the very end of the first round, but
the Brooklyn nets grabbed Danny Wolf and he and his family,
especially his brother, were sobbing, and it made did you
see that? And it made a lot of the analysts
on the set cry. It was a great moment.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
That's that's the contrast, though, right, like that's what you want, Like, man,
look how much it means to them. That just changed
their whole life. His dream came true. Look at his family,
how proud they are. That's what you want. You made it, dude,
You made it. So when you sit there whole home
Pountain as a regular Joe, how could you not make

(17:27):
the observation of what's that about? I was pointing at MiTV,
like Leo Dicapriole, like what's he doing? Why is he
not smiling.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
This guy a little bit of what a difference in
having to go the long route. Like his dad said,
the odds have always been against him. He's always had
a chip on his shoulder because he wasn't supposed to
make it this far. And he sat there through the
entire first round. A lot of the supposed experts had
him going halfway through the first round, and he waited
all the way to the bottom.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
His face went right into his hands, covering up the tears, crying. Yeah,
a special moment. That's what it should be for everybody,
regardless of the city. You made it, dude, I mean,
it's a it's a big moment. I also thought it
was pretty wild when our very own Colin Cowhard got
drafted by the Memphis by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Malika Andrews made the big announcement, so the.

Speaker 8 (18:14):
Portland Trailblazers select Colin Coward. Here, this is a young
man with the ultimate bed on yourself story, Colin.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Then he was traded to Memphis.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Colin by the way, he leaned into that as he should.
That was hilarious. The kid's last name was Coward. Yes,
that's the kids last name. Spelling of that last name Coward,
whouldn't change Cowhard? Yeah, Cedric Coward.

Speaker 9 (18:43):
Maybe he's so cool in confident, He's like, I don't
care if my name is u you know, but you
know or something general booty, general boody.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah, I made it.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
I made it.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Who sings out of the song I look up to
the sky and now the world?

Speaker 2 (19:00):
How about this one? Fallout Blay.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
I don't like fallow Boy, just kidding. I always Sam
on the ones and two's what if Pete Wentz ever
do to you? I like Pete Wentz by this.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
It's not even Fallu Boy's Pattick at the disco. You're
a dunce.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
That is Danny g on the phones at eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox we got Manzi Belanias with
the update in about nine minutes. Spots on the videos.
Remember we're streaming on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page and
you can see all our clips at Covino and Rich
at Fox Sports Radio. Yeah, I'm Steve Cavino, the All
Valley Carate.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Champion, and that's Rich Davis.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
You know, I was just looking at something that I
thought was awesome for Major League Baseball. We are exactly
at the midway point for some teams. Right, So a
lot of teams have played eighty one games of one
hundred and sixty two. And would you believe that after
eighty one games the Mets in the Phillies are ah dentical.

(19:59):
To quote my cousin Finny forty seven and thirty four,
they're tied for first place after eighty one games, which
is great for baseball because every division's tight. Your Yankees
are half a game ahead of Tampa. Detroit's the only
team in Houston. They got some pretty good leads, but
every division's pretty tight. The Dodgers haven't got cold Jet,

(20:20):
and you know they will at some point. First team
to get to fifty wins in the NL yesterday, they
haven't got cold Jet. That'll happen at some point. The
best always go through something. The next freed, first pitcher
to get to ten wins, let's go Yanks. But we're
talking basketball right now.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
And I.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Figured it out.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Kevin Rudolph sings the song I was singing before, but
I made it. It's a wonderful feeling, and we saw
a bunch of people make it last night. They got drafted,
and to be fair, I hadn't Epfanie. I was in
the bathroom when I was thinking about it. Oh that's
when you're peeing, you get come up with a deep thought. Yeah,
I said, Epfanie, I had an e P. And Hee's
letting people know. And I realized, you know, as we

(20:58):
overspeculate and dissect the first round and the reactions, there's
lots of things to keep in mind. I don't want
to come down hard on young kids who might not
know how to react in that situation. We don't know
the level of nerves, That's one thing. And also the
feeling of I'm not surprised, you know, maybe they're not

(21:18):
as surprised as we feel they should be. Like, yeah,
I agree. I've never been a twenty years kid, right,
so I'm just trying to be fair. I've never been
a twenty year old that knows that if my name
is called all of a sudden, me and my family
are multimillionaires. I don't know that feeling. You never thought
it out like one of my fantasies I got. My
dreams aren't as big as first round NBA. But there

(21:39):
will be a day, Danny G when I'm at a fight,
you know, Chavez Junior, Jake Paul Canelo Crow, I'm there
at the fight and the camera's on me.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
What am I gonna do? Freezing the moment? Or throw
out a fist like.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
I'm shadowboxing the ABB underneath your radio scream shot? Yeah,
it says, well, I guess it's radio Tyger Radio.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
And then I do a little punch.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Like yeah, because I thought it out already. You're gonna
tell me these guys never thought out the moment. Hope
they just fell your name, Steve Corvino, which would probably
happen for sure, right my one sweet moment.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Rich leaning out of the frame.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
But you know, nerves are high.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
They had to have thought about it. But they're also
very young. There's a lot in here. Maybe I'd expect
too much.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
I know you're saying.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
It's sort of like when someone wins a Grammy or
an Academy award, they're like, oh my god, I didn't expect.
It's like you want to you're one of five people.
You're not freaking prepared. I'm always torn on this safe statement.
You know, act like you've been there before, and I
get that, but it also comes across sometimes that you're
too cool for the room and.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Sometimes you weren't there before, so why pretend?

Speaker 1 (22:44):
And in fact, in this in this scenario, no one
has been That's the point, Like, I want to see
you act like you were never there before, and that's
just our expectation.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Are they probably thrilled? Yeah, but guess what it didn't
look it can I tell you it's on us because
we just want to see tears. We really want to.
I just want to see the.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Emotion because in my mind, in my mind, I'm like,
you're you just went from probably you know, middle class
family or whatever to you're you're signing an eight figure
contract to start and then if you're good, you'll sign
a max dealer a couple of years. Like, in my mind,
this should be the moment of your life. Show me

(23:23):
something and you know what. Maybe it was. It probably was,
but it didn't seem that way. And that's our observation.
And it's not just our observation. If you follow social media,
a lot of people were pointing this out, and there were.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
A few exceptions. There were some players up there with
all free time first legator.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Tears uh John in Portland talking about the first round
and what seemed to be a lack of excitement or
gratitude or whatever. What's up, buddy, We're good man, what's up?

Speaker 10 (23:51):
Good?

Speaker 11 (23:51):
So yeah, I just wanted to weigh in on mostly
mostly just the top ten picks, but I mean you
could see it from everybody, but I feel like a
lot of it for a lot of these guys is
like Monty kind of said, like they're already paid like
with nil deals. So yeah, I feel like a lot
of them kind of do come in with a little
bit of diva mentality. You got some that are really

(24:12):
close to their families, and I think a lot of
it is proximity to the family and prestige of the
team and stuff. But I just feel like so much
of it is I mean, they're they're not worried about
money then how it's gonna come. They want to go
somewhere where it's like, you know, like a high profile
city that's got like the I.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Know what you're saying, they might have.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
They might think to themselves, I already made four mil
on nil and my family's on the South and now.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I'm going Now I'm gonna going to Portland.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
But yeah, but college football players make a lot of nil.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Winner, I know, But it's also changing, Denny. In the past,
it was always game changing and money changing. Now over
the last couple of years, because of Nil, you are
seeing stars that are being drafted that have already made
their millions. Back in the day, no kid went into
the draft. A millionaire might have something to do with it.
Now we're seeing the aftermath.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Indiana, Jesse, you're alm a Covino on Wretch.

Speaker 12 (25:02):
Hey, buddy boy, Hey, how's it going?

Speaker 10 (25:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Man, what's up? So?

Speaker 12 (25:07):
Yeah, I wanted to speak more on the being grateful
part of things. I'm you know, I'm twenty two years old.
Wasn't in Chicago a few days, yo. I'm loved to
go to MLB games, But I'm a I'm.

Speaker 10 (25:18):
A broadcaster here in Indiana.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
I cover high school sports, and I am so grateful
every time I get to put a headset on and
call a game, regardless of it it's two schools in
the middle of a cornfield, or I'm in Indianapolis calling
the game. It's the biggest.

Speaker 11 (25:34):
Game to me.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
I love that because you're doing what you love, You're
getting paid to do what you love, and sky's the limit, right,
So why are we not seeing that in the NBA
for some players, Danny jass what it is for some players,
and thank you man, thanks for chiming in.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
I never think because they're crowned early on cove. Like
you're in high school and you're already superstar in your
own mind, right well, not just in your own mind,
but you've been recruited that way.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
You're an as. You didn't do it in the NBA yet.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
True, but it's it's different right now, you know, especially
in basketball.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
You thinking about it, Danny, I'm not changing my mind,
but you know what, everyone's emotional Everyone's emotional intelligence and
how emotional they are is different right there. Like me,
I could watch, you know, a coffee commercial and cry.
I watch a rom com if I watched a video,
I could go to a wedding of people I don't

(26:31):
even know.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
That's beautiful, some people at their own wedding. I guess
it's great.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Everyone's got different levels of emotions. Why we you know,
just because I might be an emotional buffoon.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
That's true. Everybody has a different personality.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Does it take a lot of emotion to crack a smile?
Come on, man?

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Yeah, well that that part of it is. That's not
on my preferred list of destinations. And back to what
Rich was saying about that if you took that into
account for our business, Say there was a radio draft
and you got got drafted to Bristol, Connecticut instead of
Los Angeles, California for Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah, let me tell you, how am I twenty one?

Speaker 13 (27:08):
You know?

Speaker 4 (27:08):
What? Did I take?

Speaker 1 (27:09):
What?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I again? Okay? But what if you were like forty one?
I'm my god man, but what if for years people
had been saying you're the next Howard Stern. Yeah?

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I get what you're saying, Danny, because there was a
time when we were when we were at ESPN out
here in La A lot of the people we worked
with then had to eventually move to Bristol. We had
since left, and you know, when we were here, reluctantly
moved on. But in my mind I always thought, like,
would I have wanted like I would have been, I
would have went kicking and screaming.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
You're also a guy that earned your way and broadcast.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
I know, but these guys haven't proven anything as professionals yet,
all right, so we still wish them all the best.
These are just observations. We could be completely wrong, but
this is what our eyes told us are almost And
there was another story that we're gonna talk about and
dissect and play for you.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Next.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
It involves Dylan Harper and what he said about his
dad at last night's draft. But first, we're so happy
to see the rock star, the party star with the
update Monsy.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
You guys, it was a lot of fun. I'm not
gonna lie, but you know I don't. I didn't. I
was such a groupie by the end of it.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
I was.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
I was such a groupie with your fat heads.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
I have a video of you probably let's not holding
our fat heads dancing around the of.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
Course, No, I became a what did Sam say? Ring
a ring girl with Lorena.

Speaker 6 (28:30):
No, guys, it's a good thing I left when I
did Super fun.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
You guys have a great fan base.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
I was happy to be there, and I get a
shirt from it, so I'll never forget it with the
poker chips.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
So I'm honored in Monty wear our Vegas shirt.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
Absolutely, it's a great shirt. It's really soft. I'm into it.
I'm into it, all right. We'll start in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
Fellas Raven's former kicker Justin Tucker, has been suspended for
the first ten games of the upcoming season for violating
the league's personal conduct policy.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
The Buccaneers have agreed.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
To multi your extensions with both head coach Todd Bowles
and GM Jason light.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Caitlin Clark is going to.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
Miss night's fever game against the Sparks because she deals
as she is dealing with the left groin issue. That
is not the issue that kept her out a couple
of weeks ago. That was a quad issue. Now it's
the left groin issue in baseball. Clayton and Kershop pitched
six innings, gave up two hits, one earned run, and
had five strikeouts, meaning he is three strikeouts away from
three thousand career strikeouts. Very exciting times show hey Atani

(29:27):
also hit home run number twenty eight on the season.
Right now, the Dodgers have officially defeated the Rockies three
to one.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
The Marlins have retaken the lead from the Giants. It's
been back and forth on this one.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
They're in San Francisco, Miami up eight five, bottom of
the sixth inning. The Mariners and the Twins have been
on a rain delay since I started my shift.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Back to you guys.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Thank you. Now we are going to talk some more
NBA draft and observation. But also I think we're gonna
throw a really fun hypothetical at you guys before we
get out of here today, and it has to do
with Jeff Bezos's wedding. Jeff Bezos is getting married. We'll
be married, so we'll get to that. We'll go old
school a lot of fun today on Cavino and Rich

(30:06):
Hang Tight more next on Fox Sports Radio. Speaking of
of milk, before you get to the play of the Dad,
I got to ask Mansi something. If you run a
date or any of your girlfriends run a date and
the guy ordered a glass of milk at dinner, is
that like a red flag. I've heard women say like

(30:27):
they've been on a date and the guy's like, albu
glass of milk. Yeah, no, absolutely absolutely dating a great
school boy.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
I'm just saying, like there are still grown ups that
will be.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Like glass of milk. Absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Well, what if you had nuggets with ketchup or something
at dinner, specially you need milk, but you need milk
to wash it?

Speaker 5 (30:43):
Absolutely not. No, they get the tenders with ketchup and
then get like an old fashion and make up for it.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Ladies, at, ladies.

Speaker 9 (30:51):
What if it was a white Russian and it has
a dairy in it, or a Caucasian.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
It's also called leave rich out of this. I'm just curious, ladies,
if it was a good one. If it's a super
hot dude, Ladies, and he's like, yeah, nice to meet
you and everything. Hold on, I have a glass of milk.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Whole milk.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
I don't know if I could keep a poker face
in that moment.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
Yeah, I think I would be like, I'm sorry, you're
having a glass of milk.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Milk.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
Okay, Wow, All of a sudden, I don't feel well.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
We're live from the Fox Sports Radio studio and it's
time for our tire rack play of the day. The
NBA Draft kicked off the way we all knew it would.

Speaker 14 (31:22):
With the first pick in the twenty twenty five NBA Draft,
the Dallas Mavericks select Cooper Flag from Duke University.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Fire Nico, Fire Nico.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
It's a new era for the MAVs, well is it.
I mean they have a pretty stack squad there in Dallas.
That's courtesy of ABC and that's the Tyraq play of
the day.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
And look at the time, let's go there's a curtain. Yea.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
What we gonna do is go back.

Speaker 13 (31:54):
Back into town, throwing it back for a Thursday. Old
School went fifty hits that after CNR give you the
time capsule topic and we reminisce together.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
He has three thousand, four hundred and sixty five hits,
two hundred and sixty career home runs, a three to
ten lifetime batting average, multiple World Series victories, Captain Clutch.
He has a stellar do we call it an ass resume?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
What do we call it?

Speaker 13 (32:25):
Ye?

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (32:25):
And a big basket wicker basket where he used to
collect cell phones.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
And today is his birthday talking about Captain Clutch, mister.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
November number two, Derek Jeters birthday. Everybody g time. And
by the way, did you hear those stats? Number two?

Speaker 1 (32:42):
People still say he's overrated. It's like that's the weakest
argument ever, Like, beat it with that. Let me karate
kick you in the chest. Anyone that thinks Derek Jeter
is overrated, you don't understand. You weren't old enough. Something
wrong with you. You were in a coma. You don't get baseball,
You suck up baseball, and you're resentful your team sucked.

(33:02):
Something was going on if you think Derek Jeter was
overrated because he was not. The guy was a winner period.
He's his birthday as a Mets fan. I hate to agree,
but I never understood people that said Jeter was overrated.
To me, I just hated the Yankees out of jealousy
in the nineties.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
I'm like, oh, man, another one.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Oh but yeah Jeter, Yeah he did everything righty he was.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
The argument is he was part of a stack lineup.
Yeah he was.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yeah, he was part of the stack, but he was
the stack. He was the most clutch of them all.
He was great. And on top of that, while he
denies it, I always admired how he gave out gift
baskets to all the random women he slept with.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, like allegedly.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Like yeah, I mean that was the rumor. He has
denied it, so it's ridiculous. But I feel like that's
a rumor that you continue.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
He who denied it supplied it.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
But because it's Jeter's birthday, fifty one years old, the captain,
the captain, what a career. It got us thinking of
the greatest sex symbols of our time, male and female. Right,
So we open it up to everybody. And the reason
we bring that up too is because I mean, you
may look at Jeter now and think he looks like

(34:09):
a grown up Kayu Goodbye in his day, in his prime,
in his prime, man, that guy was, he was scoring.
Let me talk about that, baby, baby, Charlie brown looking guy.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
No one likes that Kayu. No one likes kay Kayo
is a big crime.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
Baby.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
I will say this.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
I'm about ten years younger than Jeet's but growing up
in my twenties in the two thousands, when I tell you,
there wasn't a hot group of girls that didn't have
one girl in the group that bragged about and she
got with Jeter.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Dude, for real, it really was like Rich is right.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Rich grew up in Long Island. I grew up in
New Jersey. I have the same exact stories that Rich had.
You bumped into a group of hotties. One of them
is like, and you see Jessica over there, she's the
bang Jeter.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Like it was, it was every group of hot girls.
Everybody love there. Cheaters got away with everything.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
Young women, your mom, every World series, so your mom too. Yeah,
everybody loved Derek Cheeter. You know, he was just a winner,
and he was handsome in his younger days. I mean,
he still looks great now. I'm just saying, no, no know
what I'm saying. But when he was a young dude,
he was a stunt. So based on that, he was
a sex symbol for sports especially who comes to mind,

(35:22):
who were you the greatest of all time?

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Doesn't doesn't have to be sports related, of course not.
I mean, who are you gonna?

Speaker 1 (35:27):
You can mention stephie Graffer when it comes to sex symbols.
From me as a little boy, I remember I knew,
I knew I like girls the minute I saw National Influence.
Vacation with my dad and Christy Brinkley was driving around
in the sports car and she started stripping in front
of Chevy.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Chase at the pool. This is crazy, this is crazy.
That to me, I was like, Yo, Christy Brinkley, I
hate the name drop. Actually I love it. We've interviewed
Christy Brinkley.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Can I tell you she was just dropped dead gorgeous
in person, in person at how she on hundred sixty
still at this age, Well looks amazing.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
So your phone calls.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Next, he was whether you want to deny it or not?
He was a sex symbol for women in the nineties
and two thousands. You could deny it all you want
if you lived on the East Coast. Every group of
hot girls had some girl bragging that she hooked up
with Jeter to Club Ones or some you know story.

(36:25):
But from Jessica Alba to Vanessa Manilo to Minka Kelly,
they'll all tell you otherwise. Because he was with every hobby.
He had the Jessica trifecta. I think he dated every
hot Jessica of our time. Alba to beale.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
By the way, I think our version out here on
the West Coast was Andre Ethier because I remember going
to Dodger games in my younger years and girls would
be screaming, Andre have my baby really?

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Oh yeah, I would say, before that and again outside
looking in, and we're taking answers from the male and
female perspectives eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
I just remember, like my aunt or my mom.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Like Steve Garvey so handsome, So I imagine I don't
think my grandma would have said, yeah, I can imagine
that he was Steve sax Oh, yes, Steve sax hold On.
It wasn't Kurt Rampas and his glasses. I imagine they
were slaying in their heyday. So we opened it up
and we talked the greatest sex symbols of our lifetime,
not necessarily in sports, just in our life. You mentioned

(37:25):
the first time you realized that you really liked women.
Rich was Christy Brinkley.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I remember watching National Lampoon's Vacation during that pool scene.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
This is crazy, this is crazy. I'm like, what do
I feel flumming in my pants?

Speaker 1 (37:36):
I remember when I was a little kid, I was
at the Jersey Shore and I won, you know, one
of those stupid games, you win a poster or whatever
on the boardwalk, And I remember my mom was all
excited for me. She's like, Steven, don't you want the
Done Manningly one. I'm like, no, Mom, I want the
Samantha Fox one. I want the Samantha Fox one. But
if we're talking like sex symbols, I have to give

(37:57):
my props to my all time favorite. I still think
they're there's a chance somewhere, maybe in another lifetime. But
Karmen Electra in her prime was the ultimate sex in
bold of our generation. That music video, remember oh yeah, dude,
go go dancer. Yeah, I used to order that on
the video jukebox over and over again. You did yeah
that and put him on the glass.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Who do you got, Danny g Besides the time I
grew a mustache in the fifth grade, I became a
man in nineteen ninety six. Oh boy, when I saw
Selma Hyak dance on stage in From Dusk Till Dawn.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Dude, you ain't kidding, jez My dad still talks about that.
I'm like, all right, slow down, Dad.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yeah, Selma Hyak. I'm like, Dad, I was killing you.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Ain't kidd And she is still so gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
That was one of those scenes.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
That's one of the most memorable sexy scenes that really
like she was beautiful before that, but I think everybody
was like, you know, how do I get to that
bar again?

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Like where's she at? Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I'm I want to go back to Carmon Electra just
for a second, because if you were a kid of
the nineties, you had your choice. If you like Blondes,
it was about Pam Anderson, and if you like Brunette's,
it was about Carmen Electra. And I always thought, why
not both? But it reminds me of a great meme.
You got to get props to not a sex symbol.
But if you said that meme about Dennis Rodman and

(39:15):
it's like it was nineteen ninety eight, Dennis Rodman was
winning NBA titles with Michael Jordan. He was also in
the nWo with Hultkogan. Walt's at the same time banging
Carbon Electra. It's like, did anyone have a better year
than than Rodman?

Speaker 2 (39:30):
And now heates world Peace?

Speaker 4 (39:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Now what what a career?

Speaker 1 (39:34):
But I want to ask Monsi, and I want to
get some female opinions on this.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Was there a moment?

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Because I know guys will always say Megan Fox and Transformers, Sure,
Jessica Simpson and Dukes of Hazard.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
It's like, sure, Jennifer Love.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
That one where she's the tuxedo, Now, wasn't it was
the movie where she's like Heartbreakers?

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Heartbreakers?

Speaker 4 (39:57):
There it is?

Speaker 15 (39:58):
I think can Harley Waite is the one I think
when I think of love?

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Is there a moment Mansi where women are all like,
yeah that? Like brad Pitton fight Club?

Speaker 5 (40:05):
Is there a Brad Pitton fight Club is a good one.

Speaker 15 (40:07):
I do think maybe at some point Leonardo DiCaprio was
like after Titanic, because in Titanic he.

Speaker 5 (40:13):
Looked a little young, but then he gets out of
that and then.

Speaker 9 (40:16):
It's like, you know, from the beach. Maybe was that
pre or post Titanic?

Speaker 15 (40:20):
Oh, I don't know, I don't I don't know, but
definitely Leo Leo in there. And I feel like maybe
Jason Tatum, no sorry, Channing Tatum, No, yeah, Channing Channing Tatum,
who was in Jason Tatum Not Jason Tatum, Channing Tatum.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
I think for a while was like in what was that.

Speaker 15 (40:35):
Movie he did with his wife ex wife Jenna Dewan
Dancing one? No, that was after the fact, which is
what happened because of what he did in that other
movie that what was it called?

Speaker 2 (40:48):
But who comes to mind for you now? Would it
be the Jason type.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
That's a good one. Henry Cavill, the Kevill Henry Cavill.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
Because she wants to jump on.

Speaker 16 (41:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (41:03):
Absolutely, And Derek Jeter's still up there for me, man,
he does.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Look great, but again in that moment of time, he
was slain.

Speaker 15 (41:12):
I think Matt Kemp also here in La for a while,
Matt Kemp was a was a heartbrock.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Wasn't he he was dating like Rihann He did date.

Speaker 15 (41:19):
Rin and I think there was some issues there.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
So the greatest sex symbols of our time, you know,
if you want to stick to sports. I don't know
why this name comes to mind, because I feel like
you would hear women be like Grady size More.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Was he stud Yeah, I like.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Bring that up because I remember, like I had a
girlfriend that thought he was like the hottest guy.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Going, yeah, I got one for you.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
Now.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Of course, women all love Kelsey because of Taylor Swift. Sure,
but I'm going to name another tight end from back
in the day. I don't know why. He was a saint.
He was a giant. There were women that used to
always talk about Jeremy Shockey. Do you remember Jeremy Shocking Again,
we grew up on the East Coast, so he was
one of those party dudes at a lot of young

(42:00):
women were talking about.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
For sure, we go to the phones, we turn it
over to you.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
When I think of pin up girls and poster girls
of our generation, I think Carmen Lecture's right up there.
You already mentioned Pam Anderson Rich of our generation. Yeah,
it's a it's a really a story of Andy Dufrayne.
It depends what generation you grew up in. Whose poster
was on your wa whose poster was on your wall?
Because old fuzzy riches. The first poster I had of
a woman on my wall with Cindy Crawford.

Speaker 5 (42:27):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
So let's go to the phones the greatest sex symbols
of our time. In honor, Spot had a poster of
Nancy Reagan. Honestly, yeah, just say no. She did have
a reputation though. By the way, Spot was like, just
say you look it up. Let's got a trip in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
What's up? Trip, trip trip?

Speaker 17 (42:46):
Hey everybody, I just want to say a few things. Hey,
for all the listeners out there, you guys could not
have been more accommodating. I mean, Rich grabbed me at
one event.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
I didn't even see him consentrally or.

Speaker 17 (43:00):
And in the time I spent with Spot, and I
hate that I missed Mancy.

Speaker 5 (43:04):
H we missed each other.

Speaker 17 (43:06):
I know, all right, West, relate, West, relay the message.
So uh, but I will say this. I know yesterday
we're talking about triggering things. Let me tell you what triggers.
Coveno when he gave me a hug and he said,
how in the world is your shirt softer than mine?
And I was like, what do you think? Like, what

(43:27):
is this? Who makes the shirt? Why is the shirt
so saf So anyway, I thought I'd relay that. But
then sex symbols. How about a current one or the
first time I ever saw this? How about Margot Robbie
and Wall Street, Wall Street.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
When she's sitting in that bedroom, that scene with DiCaprio,
Holy Mexic.

Speaker 9 (43:47):
Okay, but on that stage and in that same vein.
How about like Jamie Presley and Joe Dirt.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
She looks no, no, no, but but Jamie Presley looks
almost like.

Speaker 9 (43:59):
In those movies. Yeah, all right, Oh, I kind of
have I share another one. But she plays this character
Nadia Shannon Elizabeth in an American Pie.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
Oh dude, absolutely.

Speaker 9 (44:07):
I mean how many young boys like watch that scene
where she's with Jason Bateman, Sorry Jason Baby, Jason Biggs.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Have you ever thought back to how wrong that scene was?
Like everyone was watching her against her will?

Speaker 4 (44:19):
Yeah, what he was watching?

Speaker 1 (44:22):
It was a it was a different time, It really was,
no doubt. Uh, temp Arizona. Let's say hi to Dave.
What's up, Dave?

Speaker 11 (44:29):
How you guys doing today.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (44:31):
Man?

Speaker 18 (44:32):
All right, A couple of different things.

Speaker 14 (44:33):
I'm giving away my age, but my influences as a
young as a young man where Aaron Gray watching Buck Rogers, Uh,
Susanne Summers was always on top.

Speaker 18 (44:48):
And of course when I first saw Weird Science and
saw Aaron LeBrock, I absolutely lost it. But as far
as the first poster I got was Heather Thomas from
The Fall Guy, and uh, I don't why.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Don't you bring up Linda Carter and call it a
day wonder? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (45:06):
You know, you know you you nailed it with all
the older school hotties. Yeah, thanks man, that was great,
thank you, Yeah, you got it. It's all generational, really is.
But of our lifetime eight seven seven ninety nine brought
up Susanne Summers. Even as a little boy. I remember
remember she was on Three's Company, and you know she
was like, of course she was Chrissy, right, the you know,

(45:28):
the ditzy hotty like she was great on that show.
Later on Step by Step with Patrick Duffy, a stud.
Who else do we got? I watched that show a lot.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
Let's go to Nick in New York City. What's up? Nick?

Speaker 19 (45:39):
Hey?

Speaker 18 (45:40):
Nick?

Speaker 10 (45:41):
Hey?

Speaker 16 (45:41):
You guys don't love this show.

Speaker 11 (45:42):
Thanks for making us a part of that.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
Honestly, Hey, no problem, Hey Nick, before you give us
your answer, will you back us up being that your
New York guy in the two thousands, didn't every group
of hot women have one girl that claims she got
with Jeter.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
Yeah, I would say so.

Speaker 20 (45:57):
It would always.

Speaker 16 (45:57):
We'd always hear, like on the radio up here, like, oh,
she got a gift basket.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
The gift basket he said it was, Yeah, but I
believe it basket.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
I believe it.

Speaker 16 (46:07):
Bro never said like what was in it, Like they're
very secretive about it, but they got a gift basket.

Speaker 11 (46:12):
So that's a very secretive thing. You.

Speaker 16 (46:16):
So, I want to say two things. One, I think
that white women liking black men and vice versa is
because of Julia styles. You know what.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
The last that broke some color barriers in crushes.

Speaker 16 (46:30):
There was a movie that we watched when we were kids,
and then oh, my sister's bringing over a black eye
like the next week.

Speaker 11 (46:37):
So whatever.

Speaker 16 (46:39):
But we went to a WWF event back in the
day and my friend bought a stable poster and when
she wore the pasties on her boobs that were like
the hands on it and it was that was tab
boo back then.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
Yeah, and some of those w W E divis I
know recently Cavino was like, we forget how popular Stacey
Keebler was for a second. Oh yeah, by the way,
Sam Moore similar pasties at our pool party.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
Yeah, you visit.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
When he said that too, reminded me of the famous
H cover cover for Janet Jackson. Was it Rolling Stone
hands on her? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (47:12):
I was. Sam just had pastis of Kaitlyn Clark's head
on his Nipples.

Speaker 4 (47:15):
Podcast on my unshaved chest was very good looking.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
Who else? I would go to Colin in New York State?
What's up Colin?

Speaker 16 (47:23):
What's up?

Speaker 14 (47:23):
Guys?

Speaker 11 (47:24):
How about Jenny McCarthy.

Speaker 4 (47:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
We worked with her at Serious XM, and I always
every time I passed her, I had small talk with her.
It was so weird to think, like, oh my god,
I had such a crush on you, and she always
looked great.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
So yeah, Jenny McCarthy always definitely on the list. Remember
what singled.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Out exact her and Carmen Electron singled out, but Jenny McCarthy.
It was definitely part of the Spencer gift posters. You'd
see in the back of the store for sure. The
Kathy Ireland days. Well, if you're just joining us, it's
Derek Cheeter's birthday. So we decided to throw it back
and say, who are those sex symbols that you remember
back in the day men and women? Who who are

(48:01):
the athletes and studs every woman wanted? And what was
the woman that that you had it for back then?

Speaker 2 (48:06):
David Beckham? Can I tell you.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
I've never felt more insecure as a grown man. When
Covino and I had the pleasure to sit down and
interview David Beckham, he was charming and handsome.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
Is I'll get out of here?

Speaker 4 (48:21):
Hold on?

Speaker 2 (48:22):
You know, David Beckham not only a superstar athlete, right, hello, ken,
not only have a high voice though hello, I know,
I know he's a stunt on every.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
To a glass of milk and I let it slide.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
But you know what he owned something that only only
a few own, maybe Brad Pitts in this company.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
Because every phase and stage of his life he was awesome.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
Yeah, Like he had so many different looks and you
see that in the in the David Beckham documentary when
he had like long blonde hair, when he had now
he's all tattooed like he's sick and it's sickening. You
gotta give him credit, though, Yeah, you gotta give him credit.
What a guy he belongs in this conversation.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
You know he uh, he was so kind.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
He did a personal video message from my sister Ah
And looking back, I'm like, that was like super kind
and pretty cool gift.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
Where do you want to go? New Mexico, New Mexico, Anthony?
What's up buddy?

Speaker 10 (49:19):
Hey?

Speaker 14 (49:19):
Guys up?

Speaker 2 (49:20):
So thank you man? What's up?

Speaker 20 (49:22):
Hey?

Speaker 14 (49:22):
You guys were talking about teenage movies the other day.

Speaker 5 (49:25):
I got one for you, End of.

Speaker 17 (49:27):
Six symbol there?

Speaker 18 (49:28):
How about listone Clueless?

Speaker 4 (49:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (49:32):
It all started with the Aerosmith video with Steven Tyler's
daughter liv Tyler. That's what really put her on the
map for a minute. Was that amazing? What video was that?
But it was an Aerosmith video that really like skyrocketed
her career.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
Like who's that? If you guys remember videos?

Speaker 4 (49:49):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Katie in South Dakota, what's up Katie?

Speaker 10 (49:53):
Hey?

Speaker 14 (49:54):
So Cavina is big on music.

Speaker 16 (49:56):
I would like to chime in with Debbie Harry and Sebastian.

Speaker 1 (49:59):
Bob Blondie Big time. Sex symbol for her day in
Sebastian Bach. Not only Sebastian Bach a good looking rock star.
That dude's known for having one of the greatest voices
ever EKU So yeah, skiter for sure, awesome, but yeah,
every chick loves Sebastian Bach growing up.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
You know another singer, well, she turned to singing after
the she got in trouble because she was in Playboy, right,
she was Miss America Vanessa Williams.

Speaker 16 (50:30):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
Yeah, our first poster. My older brother and I. She
had an album called The comfort Zone When you have
a moment. Later after our show, google the comfort Zone
album cover and we had that on a poster until
my mom came in and took it off the wall.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
Danny saved the best for last, Get it best for last.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Danny's mom was like Marcus Allen poster And do you
know her brother is the black dude in Dodgeball with
Penn Stiller. That's Chris Williams. Yes, that's right, Yeah, he's
a funny ass dude. Sex symbols, by the way, the
greatest of all time.

Speaker 4 (50:59):
It was a Aerosmith Oh.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Crying when I mean you Yeah, that's where Silverstone I
don't want to say made her debut, but it really
brought it to the mainstream. Coach Russell in Orlando, what's up, Orlando, Hey, guys,
how we doing, good man, what's on your mind?

Speaker 20 (51:17):
Yeah, I'm I'm an older guy, of course, but uh,
back in the day, uh, Pharah Fawcett and Jane Seymour,
Lauren Hutton and the one scot I always wanted to
see flip up.

Speaker 10 (51:29):
Was Chris Everett.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
Yeah, it's so funny Faa Fossett definitely. I mean I
that the posters she had and the onesie my Yeah,
I thought it was the hottest thing ever.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
My wife did.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
My wife did a photo shoot like sort of mimicking that,
and it's the favorite pictures I have of my wife.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
And the fact that Fara Fawcet look is hot.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
And Jane Seymour Cavino and I always left because we
had her on our show once. We sure that and
at first we were like doctor Quinn, Yeah, medicine woman.
Oh yeah, I think she wanted to be Sam. No,
but Sam, she can give me her medicine. Sam, you
have no.

Speaker 4 (52:00):
Faith in medicine. Play the room shot on yourself.

Speaker 1 (52:03):
But I so we we were discussing, like ya, Kimino,
should we have shod we have Jane Seymour on the show?

Speaker 2 (52:09):
I don't know, is it really in our demo? What
are we going to talk to her about?

Speaker 1 (52:12):
And our opal Steve Cohen, who not the owner of
the Mets, the guy that runs a lot of sports networks.
He worked a series X and the NFL. It's a
great guy and we always remember the quote he'd be like,
you have to have her on. Think of the story,
think of the story, and that the story changed our
mind for interviews from that point on, like, all right,
well think of the stories. What stories will this person have?

(52:35):
And you know what, she had plenty of story, eight stories.
Jane Seymour Definitely. When I think of sex symbols, I
think of the horny little boy I was, right, Yeah,
I think I was like boob obsessed. I was a kid,
and I think of like eighties boobs sorry forgive.

Speaker 2 (52:50):
Me, mom, I'm sorry. Eighties.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
And I think of like Jennifer Tilly because every character
she plays, she's always wanting it right as a kid,
as a teenage kid, what.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Does she carry doing? Cash in on that?

Speaker 1 (53:04):
But did every movie she was in right or like
even further back. Rich, Like, I know it's a stupid answer,
but my heart was on fire for Elvira bro I
wanted to yo. I was like, yeah, Mistress of the Night,
was it darker night? I didn't care, dude, she was
rocking the cleave. What I cared about when I was

(53:25):
when I was around that age, man, I'd stay up
late to watch her. You know, we're gonna take a
few more phone calls, but I want to ask this question.
We're talking about the sex symbols on Jeter's birthday. Carmen
Electro is by far my favorite number one and now, Rich,
we live in a different time, which makes this conversation
more fun because there's no standard answers anymore, because it's
just I don't know the hot girl on Instagram right

(53:47):
this you were just oversaturated with random girls with their
cheeks out. Yeah, like the closest thing might be like
I don't know guys like Sydney Sweeney, but you can
find like the hottest girl ever just by scrolling on
TikTok for five seconds.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
My question is it's twofold.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
Do you believe the Wilt Chamberlain Chamberlain numbers when they
talk about the tens of thousands of women, Like when
you do the math, three hundred and sixty five days
a year divided by like, is it possible he really
got with that many women? And number two, I mean,
how could he possibly play that much basketball and still
do all that?

Speaker 2 (54:18):
I just don't know, right, but stamina parteople one night.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
Part two of that question is what athlete do you
think probably got with the most women? Like who was
such the playboy in the seventies, eighties, nineties, Is there
one athlete that you're like, Man, that guy he was
so handsome and it's clear that he was just eligible
magic Donald Johnson before yeah, before everything bad.

Speaker 4 (54:44):
Yeah that didn't end well, but that's uh, yeah, that
might be the answer. Yeah. We heard crazy stories and
some of them may be exaggerated, some of some of
the stories not and the lady loved them. Just his
smile attracted women by the dozens, so.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Second symbols of our lifetime, you guys, Derek jeter Man,
he was.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
He was the stud of.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
The mid mid nineties to the early two thousands for sure,
especially in the world of sports.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
Billy in Vermont, what's up in.

Speaker 17 (55:15):
Hey, how you guys doing I just want to first,
thank you guys.

Speaker 10 (55:18):
I would listen to every day on my way home.

Speaker 4 (55:20):
Thank you for.

Speaker 10 (55:21):
About forty five minutes. And I gotta go from AM
to am because the FM bugs out. But anyway, the
guy in Orlando stole my pharaphonsic because I had her poster.
And I don't know. You guys were youngsters, so you
probably enjoyed it more than I did.

Speaker 20 (55:39):
But.

Speaker 9 (55:41):
I had to.

Speaker 10 (55:43):
I don't know if I heard when I was waiting
to get in. I didn't hear everything everybody said, but
everything I heard was yeah. But from Halloween to training
places to true lies Jamie Lee Curtis, I think if
you guys haven't seen.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
That, now you're talking Mike, good answer, Mike, who runs
this place is a territory?

Speaker 4 (56:03):
Who Mike?

Speaker 2 (56:03):
He was talking about it. I thought he said Chad Curtis.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
At first, I was like, Chad Curtis, the baseball player,
Jamie Lee Curtis.

Speaker 4 (56:14):
I have a redhead. Nobody is gonna bring up justin No, look,
nobody's gonna say her name. But and I don't think
she's in this new edition of Jurassic Park. But Bryce
Dallas Howard, Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
Oh, she's got a what is cal Rawley's nickname? Oh
the big Dumper? I mean yeah, And she's a delight
you know.

Speaker 4 (56:44):
Yeah, you told me you guys interviewed her really good.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
Ron Howard's daughter. You know, when you bring up brings
the heat.

Speaker 1 (56:51):
When you bring up redheads, think of your childhood and
watching all the reruns of Gilligan's Island. Ginger, whoever that
actress was, I saw everywhere knows. I saw a picture
of Ginger recently, like a rare spotting in la.

Speaker 4 (57:03):
I think she's like.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
Ninety, She's still alive, dude, Yes, geez, Ginger still.

Speaker 9 (57:07):
Can I give you guys a couple from the from
the olden times? If I may, I always sam this
up a little bit, Oh, Mary Todd Lincoln not that far,
Mary Tyler Moore, I was gonna go. I'm gonna give
you three ladies from maybe our golden age of cinema,
marilynd and Roe obviously, Sophia Loren Doubt and Raquel Welch, dude,
and thank you. And then my I swear both of

(57:29):
my grandmothers who are now deceased, Helen and Nancy, great
names for grandma's By the way, Helen and Nancy both
I believe uttered under their breath once how they thought
Kirk Douglass was so handsome. Yeah, let me ask you this.
And Spartacus he was all oil, you know back in
the day. He was a looker.

Speaker 1 (57:46):
Sam the amazing answer, right, it has to be representative.
We're talking sex symbols.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
I mean marylyn Roe with the events, and.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
I'm gonna say Jessica Rabbit because I felt are you
more of a Velma guy or as if you had
to choose, because that Velma's always sexualized, you know on
social media for some reason.

Speaker 9 (58:06):
With Velma from Scooby Doo, she didn't quite expose herself
as much as us as much as Jessica Rabbit. Okay,
so you're like, how about how about Velma's personality Jessica
Rabbits physical.

Speaker 4 (58:19):
Rabbit good for perfect, good for Roger bro How about
the old school actress that Elvis went crazy over? And
Margaret Yeah?

Speaker 2 (58:27):
Oh man, any Elvis? How about Elvis?

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (58:32):
The fun fact you know me, I'm on this day, boy,
I always know these fun facts. Today is the anniversary
of Elvis's last concert. You know who knew because he
passed away soon after so, and when you see how
good looking Elvis was in his prime, it's gross like
that the era where's wearing the black leather outfit, Like,
I don't know what era that is? Yeah, not fat Elvis.

(58:55):
There was a filter on him before filters were invented.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
Yeah, come on, stop with at Elvis. Stop.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
You kind of get it, but you know, because he's
overshadowed by Elvis when you look up old stuff from
like Ricky Nelson, rick Nelson in his prime, because I'm
just thinking of the things that my mom would say,
like he was so handsome.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
He really was a good looking dude. And we have
no shame saying that.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
Paul Newman, right, the Paul Newman super stud of our lifetime.
You brought about Rob Lowe. You know women loved in
the eighties, said Tom tom Selick.

Speaker 6 (59:28):
Smuster Celik is a good one, none of you, said
Scarlett Johansson.

Speaker 5 (59:33):
I feel like she was a for.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
A while, No doubt, no doubt. Jeff Bezos is getting married.
I think didn he shut down Venice and everyone's everyone's
like bitching and complaining that Jeff Bezos shut down Italy.
It's Jeff Bezos. That's pretty cool. He could buy what
he wants. He's shut down whenever he wants. And they're
saying it's a star studded wedding. And there's two guys

(59:58):
that are going to this wedding, and the big debate
on social media is who is the more eligible bachelor
because they both apparently are going to this party, going
to this wedding to unleash. In fact, one of the
guys said, I quote planned to party pretty damn hard.

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
One guy is recently a bachelor.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
I'll give you the tail the tape. He starred in
Lord of the Rings the Pirates movies. His exes include
a Miranda Kerr, Katy Perry, forty eight year old Orlando Bloom. Yeah,
just split up. But Katy Perry after nine years they
were engaged. The other stud seven time Super Bowl winner,

(01:00:42):
divorced about a year ago whatever Tom Brady, forty seven
years old. They were seen hanging out on a boat
in Italy and apparently they're browing up.

Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
Did Orlando Bloom have his pants on? Because I know
how he rolls in the water. That is true.

Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
There was that famous there was that famous picture of
him and Katy Perry where he was new on a
peddle board and you saw the shadow of his junk
true story. But Tom Brady and Orlando Bloom are both
single and going to this wedding. And the social media
debate among women on like TikTok and Instagram and Twitter,
who is the more eligible bachelor who would get more
attention from women at a wedding? Tom Brady or Orlando Bloom?

(01:01:20):
Is this when we rely on the women of Fox
Sports Radio. Yeah, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox,
Ladies be dialing in because as a as a man,
I can tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
I think the answer is obvious.

Speaker 4 (01:01:33):
But what do I know?

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Yea Manzi is the more eligible bachelor at Bezos' wedding?

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
Tom Brady Orlando Balloon?

Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
Listen?

Speaker 6 (01:01:41):
Orlando Bloom never did it for me, not ever, not once,
not ever, and still does it.

Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
So picture him on the paddle board that passed it.

Speaker 6 (01:01:51):
It doesn't matter, doesn't matter, would I not does nothing?

Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
I don't care, that does nothing for me? And does
Tom Brady definitely.

Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
Even though even though his face looks like it's had
work done. I it just Orlando Bloom. I was just
telling Isaac here like he just never did it for me.
I was more into Johnny Depp, even though you know,
apparently he's stinky. I was more into Johnny Depp than
like Orlando Bloom during that That's what they.

Speaker 16 (01:02:13):
Say that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Any any women or men come to mind? Who is
his favorite sex symbols?

Speaker 5 (01:02:20):
Man come to mind for you? Isaac woman specifically maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
Sex symbols, sex symbol.

Speaker 5 (01:02:25):
Linda Carter wonder Woman was mentioned.

Speaker 6 (01:02:29):
Yeah, Matthew McConaughey, I'll honorable mention.

Speaker 5 (01:02:32):
And also Brandon and shay Me Lacunis.

Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
Oh, yeah, yeah, we forgot about in the movie.

Speaker 5 (01:02:38):
In all of them, it doesn't matter forgetting Sarah, for
getting Sarah mar Oh.

Speaker 6 (01:02:41):
Yeah, but even in Bad Moms, she's great still in
Bad Mom.

Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
And then New Brandon and I we were talking about
Anne Hathaway.

Speaker 5 (01:02:49):
Her face card, like I love Anne Hathaway. Shut up
spot giving me.

Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
A little no, you know what I want to hear
all the feedback about Bloom or Brady, who do you
feel like would get more female attention at a wedding?
Tom Brady or Orlando Bloom. They're both going to Jeff
Bezos's wedding, and the whole joke on social media is
that they're new like bros. And they're hanging in Venice

(01:03:16):
together and everyone's like, oh, who could get more booty Brady.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
I think the ambler.

Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
Is so obvious.

Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
I mean, I comoletely agree with Moncey Bolango and here's why.

Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
But there's a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
Of book nerd girls like, oh my god, Orlando bloom
I mean, come on, he'll slay it in Middle Earth
then I guess. But here on Regulars, yeah, regular it's
Tom Brady because he's adored by men and women. The
guy is a super stud. There's only one guy in
sports that outstuds Brady, and that's Ronaldo, who Mancy mentioned before.

(01:03:48):
But he's not single. So Tom Brady is by far
the most eligible bachelor in all the land period.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
He's a superstar. He's an icon.

Speaker 1 (01:03:57):
You'd be the judge Bloomer Brady at VI and Rich
Now Kevino, I feel like the story will get stale,
so let's touch on it real quick. If it's cool
with you, we got a few minutes perfect. Dylan Harper,
Dylan Harper, not in Harper, not the porn star that's
by believe Dillion anyway, by the way, Rutgers point guard,
Yeah right, yeahmate, which is wild, like Rutgers, what up

(01:04:19):
going to get?

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Perhaps to that coaching staff right prepping these kids.

Speaker 4 (01:04:22):
For the next top ten.

Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
So he goes number two in the NBA to the Spurs.
Dylan Harper is interviewed by Taylor Rooks and she asks
him about her famous dad. What you said her famous dad?
His famous dad, his famous dad, Ron, take a listen everything.

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
I mean, my dad was dead. Definitely was a great player.

Speaker 19 (01:04:46):
I mean, my dad scored the ball, pass the ball,
play defense.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
But I think I'm just I mean, I like to.

Speaker 19 (01:04:52):
Always have the utmost confidence in myself, So I'm just
saying I'm a little better at everything of him, except
for jumping. He might have jumping over me.

Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
But besides that, I got my asked what is what
is he better than his dad?

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
And he said everything.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
It's the way he said it, bro, It's the way
he said it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
Like, you're better at everything.

Speaker 1 (01:05:16):
Your dad was a bona fide NBA star with the
with the balls. I'm thinking of him, and you're better
at everything. Then, isn't there a nicer.

Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
Way to say that?

Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
You feel it to be like I feel like it's
a little condescending towards his dad like a little disrespectful.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
I look at it this way.

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
I feel like every dad's goal and dream is that
his son is a little bit better than him and everything.
If if my son could be a little taller, a
little more handsome, a little funnier, a little more successful,
what do you want your kid?

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
Does that necessarily mean? You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
You don't need to like downplay your dad's achievements to
uplift yours in that way. It just sounded a little
too harsh in my opinion, that playful.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
It wasn't playful. I don't think it was.

Speaker 4 (01:05:58):
His dad was also a clipper and a laker.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Yeah, his dad had a stellar career.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
I got a famous name in the draft, and she
asked him, you know, what are you better at than
your dad?

Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
Listen to the tone one more time. What are you
better than your dad?

Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
Everything?

Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
I mean, my dad definitely was a great player.

Speaker 19 (01:06:15):
I mean, my dad scored the ball, pass the ball,
play defense. But I think I'm this. I mean, I
like to always have the utmost confidence in myself, So
I'm just saying I'm a little better at everything of him,
except for jumping.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
He might have jumping over me a graceful way to
say that. I think there is, and of course I
agree with Rich. We all want our kids to be
better than us. I'm sure our parents wanted us to
be better than them. But what is better mean?

Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
And I'll never have that. My dad has a great
slash beautiful kid.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
It's a great mustache, you know, he owns a home,
He has grandkids at seven of them, you know, forty five,
forty nine years of marriage. I'll never have any of
those things. So it all depends on what you consider
greatness and success is get busy making babies. Then all right,
we'll see you guys tomorrow. There may see you in
the over promised lamb.
