people don't know that Cavino's the Chad Michael Michaels of

(02:13):
Fox Sports Right Now true story by the way, underrated
Will Ferrell movie, don't you think Yes? Now? That was funny, dude.
I used to love that movie. I'm not surprised. I
hope you had a Patriots sort tonight, not a New
York Football Giant sort of night, not a young Hoku
making excuses or or was he Oh, we'll discuss that too.

(02:34):
But man, the Giants are ass cheeks, we know that.
But they're exciting and they got promise. We get it.
But we knew what was gonna happen. We called it yesterday.
It was a boring game. But the Patriots are dominant
MVP chants for Drake May. They're eleven and two now,
ten games in a row, the longest streak this year
in the NFL. You know what it is close to them. Man,

(02:56):
you look at some of those games and you you know,
in the gambling world, all people say, oh, trap game, right,
But when you saw New England by seven, I feel
like that was a gimme and we all ignored it.
Right at the end of the show yesterday, Dandy was like,
Patriots by seven, Rich, what's your pick? And I'm like,
I don't know. I have the Patriots probably rock them,
but I didn't bet on it. I think a lot
of people look at a Thursday night or a Monday

(03:18):
night and sometimes screwy things happen. And again a ten
and two team versus two and ten team in New England, like,
why did we all not jump on Patriots minus seven?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Well, once it became seventeen to seven, some of us
hopeful fans out there were like, Okay, maybe they'll make
a game out of it. No, yeah, no, well, hey,
I think the two storylines though for the Giants are
Jackson Dart still being kind of reckless getting rocked alongside
the sideline there, and of course they're kicking.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
It's not soccer, man, it's football.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
He said, Yeah, I'm gonna keep kidding. Concussions is basically
what he said.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Listen, Jackson Dart, let's start with him. And by the way,
if you're on our YouTube chat, people already chiming in,
is it weird that I'm rocking a backwards hat. I
know Colin Cowhart doesn't approve. Fred Durst approve, so you're good, okay,
And Ken Griffy Junior said yeah, way to go, buddy,
Even I was. Sam's like, what, I'm more mad that
you were in a weak ass Ben Savage T shirt.
It's a Fred Savage shirt. And yeah it's not Randy.

(04:18):
That is lame.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
So anyway, it's too high up on your dome. I think,
rich you gotta like if you do the backwards cap, yeah, you.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Look like Steve Buscemi. Or he's like, how do you do,
fellow kids? What is that from thirty rocks? Like me
look like an old guy. We're holding a skateboard, skateboard backpacking.
How do you do, fellow children? Well, Riches came in
from the gym.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
That's why.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, I went to the sauna and I you know,
I like the chill in the sauna. But then my
hair gets messed up. But anyway, who cares. Jackson Dart,
you said a dandy g along the sideline. Guy gets rocked.
Legal hit. He's tiptoeing. Oh it was a great hit,
but it did in real time it looked like an
illegal hit. It looked like a bad hit. It looked
like a late hit. But no good hit. Good call.

(05:00):
And he spoke about it. Yeah, take a listen.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
I understand the question, but like this is like this
is football, like I'm gonna get hit if I'm in
the pocket or outside the pocket, Like it's I don't
I feel like I've played this way my whole entire life.
There shouldn't be like any shock or anybody if you've
followed along with my career and I'm we're not playing
like we're not playing soccer out here, like you're gonna

(05:27):
get hit.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Things happen. Yeah, it's part of the game. Well, here's
the biggest difference. He's not playing in college anymore. He's
not playing in the pee wee leagues. You know, you're
playing with monsters in the NFL peeleague and yeah, legal
hitting all but you keep playing like that, you're gonna
get hurt eventually. And you're too important as a quarterback
in the NFL to be doing that sort of thing.

(05:48):
And I get it, you could be tough. There's a
balance there, right, Josh Allen's sort of figuring out that balance.
We've seen mobile quarterbacks be told, hey, you're not as
mobile as you once were. We're not going to allow that.
It's dangerous. You don't want to he doesn't want to
spend every other game in the blue tent. It's but
you got to respect it.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Though.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
He's a badass, he's a tough guy, he's a football player,
and he's leading by example. Glad you said that, because
the question is to start the show simple Jackson Dart
badass or dummy or setting the precedent right, Like as
a dad, as a leader, a lot of times you
say to people, hey, I'm not asking you to do

(06:28):
something I wouldn't do myself. So as a leader of
a team, you know, this is what he expects from
his his players, Like, hey, man, if I'm willing to
give up my body and sacrifice and play my heart
out like a Baker Mayfield, those are ways to send messages,
you know, like I'm willing to do this, I expect
that from everybody, agreed. As a guy that's setting the
tone and establishing a reputation in the NFL. I think

(06:49):
it's okay now he's young now, but eventually it will
catch up to it. I don't eve think it's the
age thing. I think it's sometimes you just you minimize
the risk. Right, that's an obvious thing, right, I mean
if Jackson Dart is scrambling, we don't I don't want
this guy to stop playing with some fire and passion
and running around. And I don't I don't mind when

(07:09):
he's mildly reckless, when you're tiptoeing along the sideline, getting
that one extra yard isn't worth getting clobbered. It's little
things like that. It's it's like, thank.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
You, this is not the Super Bowl where John Alway
needed to the helicopter into the end zone.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Dude, perfect example, Like you're not asking. You're not asking Josh,
you're not asking Jackson Dart too. Hey man, listen, we're
gonna keep you in the pocket right with no none
of this, none of this reckless running around. It's part
of his game. It's what makes him exciting. It makes
the fans love him. He's a passionate dude. I love him.
He's got balls, and you're not your games right. It
is football. But you know, I love him and Scataboo

(07:49):
and they're both healthy, headbutting each other and acting like
you know, silly frat dudes. But again, it's like, pick
the times you're gonna throw you body out there. If
it's if it's a scramble and you already got the
first down and you're tip toeing, why why are you
leaving yourself vulnerable. Man. So Jackson Dart badass, fool or both,

(08:13):
I mean both could be an answer here. I'm going
with badass now because again he's setting the tone and
he's a young player in the league. I know you
already said that doesn't matter. Rich, I think I feel
what you're saying, because you could get hurt. You're not,
I mean to getting hurt. I think he's a fool
until he gets that first big contract. Now, if he
had that, you know, because even if you're average, Now,
what is your first contract, Danny, forty to fifty million

(08:35):
dollars a year? It seems like if you are, if
you if a team banks on you, you're getting forty
to fifty It seems like the standard now.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
So, yeah, he hasn't signed is one hundred and eight
million dollars signing bonus.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, So when Jackson Darted a couple of years from now,
the talk is, oh, the Giant's gonna give him forty
to fifty to sixty million, depending on where things go,
then I'd say, did play your game. But a couple
hits like that, he's never gonna make it to contract too.
So again, they lost thirty three point fifteen to the
what seems to be unstoppable Patriots right now Jackson Dart

(09:10):
one hundred and thirty nine yards, one tuddy, no turnovers
and yeah, putting his body on the line as a viewer,
as a fan and as a casual fan on a
Monday night while we wrap up week thirteen.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I like seeing it again fan perspective. I mean, mister
mcchieley hit us up?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
What up?

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Mister mcchieley said, guys, look at Lamar Jackson. Every injury
he has, he comes back a little less the player
he won, less explosive this year way noticeable too. And
I get it, you know, but how many years has
he been in the league now? But Wes is saying,
dude is getting paid millions? I don't know. Can you
look up Jackson Dart's current contract, because he's not getting
paid like millions like the Lamars and Joe Burrows and

(09:57):
Mahomes of the world. So he said he getting paid million.
I gotta love that attitude goes, even if it's foolish,
the things he says, like, no, man, this isn't soccer,
this is Football's what I do. Like, that's the kind
of attitude you want, though, so I would never want
to deter him from that fire, from speaking and leading
that way.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
His rookie deals are fully guaranteed, four year contract worth
seventeen million dollars.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
That's a small fortune.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Yeah, he got a signing bonus of almost nine million.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
And by the way, Lamar Jackson is eight years in
the league right now, and this is really the first
time we've seen him let up. I mean, what quarterback
is the same from year one to year eight. Anyway, Yes,
he looks like he's less explosive. No doubt he could
be having an off year. We don't know that. Wes
in Vegas. To finish what he said, he goes. These guys,

(10:47):
even at that level, are getting paid millions. Danny g
proved it. He's got seventeen right. The new trend is
some of these guys make a ton of money, might
step away early. What if Jackson darts, okay, dip it
out early, if he plays his game. I'm surprised we're
not getting more because Rich isn't the only one saying
foolish right, Like, hey man, take it ease, You got

(11:09):
nothing to prove. It's a random night. You guys are
two to ten. But isn't it a little refreshing too
that people still want to play at that level. I'm
not saying we don't see it, but when you see
load management in the NBA, and when you see some people,
you know, what's the proper word blank footing around? In

(11:29):
the NFL? Sometimes I want to know what the proper way,
but you can't say the other word blank footing around
sometimes whissy footing playing patty Cake. You know, it is
nice to see and be reminded that this is the
NFL and that he's here to win, regardless of the
record and regardless of the investment, how much money he's making.

(11:52):
You could say, man, that's that's refreshing. I like that attitude.
But the sentiment is, hey, man, take it easy, Hey
dun buyer. Isn't a while to think that. On one hand,
there's people that are curious as to why Joe Burrow's
even playing right, yes, and then there's other people that
are like, get Jackson dark, go for it.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
I think that's a good example, and maybe not necessarily
with the Bengals because we did see how Joe Flacco performed.
But my question to Jackson Dart would be what would
Wandale Robinson want you to do? What would a healthy
Molik Neighbors want you to do? Because you are responsible
for everybody, and if your wide receiver doesn't get paid

(12:30):
because his quarterback's been knocked out because you won't get down,
you're likely not winning games and it could affect how
you and your business goes because now you've got to
play with the second or third string quarterback. I think
on the surface, it's great, what a gamer for a
two to ten team, But when you're the quarterback of
the team, you have a lot more to think about
than just am I going to get this extra yard?

Speaker 1 (12:52):
And especially with what you saw for a minute with
him in Scataboo and Molik Neighbors, all these guys banged up,
there is a sentiment that next year the Giants retooling
some draft picks the Giants. Would you agree that most
think they're not as far away as they feel? Rephrase it,
so you think they're closer than that they're like I
meaning they're they're banged up a couple of draft picks wide. Yes,

(13:19):
I don't think they're that far off from being like, well,
maybe they're a wildcard team. There were they were a
player analysts. I thought this year the Giants might make them. Yeah,
I think that's fair. So you're right, there's no point
in getting hurt. Now where next year is like off
the table. You want to be you want Molik neighbors
Jackson Dart camp scout a boot with the addition of
some maybe free agents and good draft picks ready to

(13:41):
roll for twenty twenty six. Don't jeopardize anything. But he
has a baller huh. Trying to think that bow a
quote where he tells Adrian to oh, stop telling you
to make a man. Yeah, it's like you're telling him
not to be who he is. I know that's good
to stop being a woman. So don't has me to
stop being a man. Stop telling him to stop being

(14:01):
a football player. Absolutely no, you know, like it's kind
of who he is. That's what you sign up for
when you sign a Jackson Dart. Maybe maturity, maybe a
good pop will change those things, but that's how he
plays the game. That's who he is. So it's kind
of hard to change that once you've been doing it
your whole life. That's the truth. So I feel all

(14:23):
those things. But we posed a question to you. You
heard our side Jackson Dart you saw it last night,
meaningless game. Badass for taking that hit, trying to get
that extra yard. Is he a badass leading by example?
Or is he just a fool what a fool believes?
Is he a down ass full or both? Eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox At this stage of his

(14:45):
life and career, I kind of appreciate it. He's trying
to make a statement, trying to make a name for himself,
trying to establish who he is in this league. As
he grows and he could depend on other people, I think,
you know, hopefully he's smart enough to back off on
that sort of thing, and you know, I'd like to
see him mature and grow. But right now I like it.
Who am I? Homer Camacho? Hit us up? What's up? Homer?

(15:08):
On the into YouTube threat, he said, Guys, Troy Aikman,
did you hear he compared Jackson Dark to Jim McMahon.
He's not going to last at this rate. At this rate, yeah,
but everybody evolves. Hey, Rich, you were kind of reckless
in your career in the beginning. The things you would
say in interviews, the way we would talk to people
on our show, the antics we pulled on the air

(15:30):
way because we were trying to establish ourselves as a
pushing the envelope cutting edge. But those things could eventually
have gotten us in trouble. Right, So once you establish
yourself as credible broadcasters, you just do that and he
become a professional and you back off the silly stuff
a little bit and you show what you really got.
I think early in his career, this is what you

(15:51):
get because that's who he is. He'll change.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Think.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Also, you have to show the other defenses around the
league that you're not going to be a sitting duck.
If they know you're a quarterback that's gonna get down
and slide. Yeah, because you guys, just the eye test
at the start of the season when you called them
him in Scataboo, the new dynamic duo, what was the
caveat you guys gave.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
What's gonna happen?

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Both of them were gonna get hurt if they continue
to play with that style. So if you guys could
see it from your living rooms, you're telling me defensive
coordinators and defenses don't lick their chops when they go
against them.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
They do. But here here's a reality check too. And
we know this, but when you hear it sounds different.
He's twenty two years old, twenty two. You guys, watch
how invincible you feel at twenty two years old, especially
especially a dude in the NFL. You guys want to
expect him to play any other way? You guys watching
new Kevin Hart special on Netflix. I started it. He
talks about how he's forty five now. Yeah, and he

(16:44):
goes he doesn't care what anyone thinks. He talks about
how he'll play like pick up basketball. Yeah, he called
out Michael Jordan pretty hard. That was wild, did you
he like? Was called style. He talked about his son,
called Michael Jordan's son's losers and everything. So in the special,
Kevin Hart's says he's in his forties now, he plays
pick up basketball. You roll your ankle, you might have

(17:05):
a hurt ankle forever. He's like, you know, that's forever
an ailment. You're you got a boot on for and he's,
you know, limping around for tending he has a boot on.
I think this is how legends are made. He said,
when you're twenty something, you'll see something. Dude at the
gym roll his ankle's like the dude's ankle hits the
side of the gym floor, jumps up and he's like,
all right, I'm good. When you're twenty something, it's like

(17:27):
when your kids fall knockout wood, Like your kids get
up and they're like, I'm fine. How many kids are?
You're there? Pliable the recovery. He's so different. Uh, it
looks dangerous, but it's a dangerous sport and he said it.
He said it best, So badass, fool both your thoughts
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven

(17:48):
ninety nine, O Fox at Covino and Rich at Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (17:50):
There's also the face paint angle that you guys have
not addressed. So when you are painting your face, whether
it be yes of whatever mark he's got under his eye,
I think you should totally run out of bounds and
wipe that stupid black mark whatever he's got under his
face off. But you can't be running out of bounds

(18:13):
if you're painting your face like that.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
So you're saying he should wipe that off and put
ultimate warrior face. No different.

Speaker 7 (18:20):
Joji McCarthy does, and it's it's even worse with him.
But when you go to the specific eye blacks, you know,
swipe on your cheek swipe, or the yeah, you can't
be going out of you can't be running out of bound.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
I think we also need to give prompt to uh
is it Christian Ellis right, the linebacker from the Patriots?
That was a sweet hit? Yeah, sweet hit. But to
back up, he wasn't only hit what dB said. You
can't be painting your face and not play a little wild.
It's like, uh, if you ever play like Rex softball,
if you have the guy that shows up and you're

(18:56):
wearing like an elbow guarden batting gloves softball, you better
hit four hundred foot rockets. You can't be average and
show up wearing like full uniform. Like yeah, that's a
funny point. Are you ever golf with someone I'm guessing
that has all the gear everything they suck.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
All the time, all the time, all of the stuff
from all the courses that they've played, top notch everything,
best golf ball, best golf shoes, that the hat matches
the belts not.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
I don't go unmatched, like it's I try to match,
but I don't. It's not.

Speaker 7 (19:28):
Everything is primo as then I'll say, but yes and
then the game doesn't match it, match it.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
I got two more examples, DV and that's a really
great one. You have to be a wild sort of
player if you're gonna paint your face right. How about
the guy that shows up to the bowling alley with
the wrist guard or the guy that shows up to
like a bar pool table with his own pool queue.
He's screwing it together like that. Dude better be Minnesota
fats if he's if he's screwing up his old his

(19:57):
own pool cue. If you're a woman, the you better
have some game.

Speaker 7 (20:02):
If you're a closer with some sort of weird facial hair,
not weird, but like long hair, beard, sideburns, mutton chops, whatever,
you better throw one oh two like that is like
that is who you are?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Like, yes, it's got a match. Yeah, it matches his style, right.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Can't go in there throwing junk.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
That's tampire along with the closer. I don't think unless
you are a Marianna Rivera and ENW. Diaz A Trevor Hoffman,
there's certain guys. I don't think everyone deserves an entrance. Correct, Yes,
not everyone gets Timmy trumpets. It's a good point. You know,
if you're gonna be face painted like the wild thing
that you are, you gotta play that way.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
A lot of the younger players do the dripping face paint.
Look at JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Yeah, he said that is Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
He didn't exactly play like a warrior this season. He tried.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
It's like the meme goes little league team, four thousand
dollars worth of bets, two hits, sometimes sometimes the gear,
and you know you're spending all this money, like I
love the golf on. There so many good ones. But
thank you guys for playing along. In fact, you got

What's the state abbreviation trying to expose me? MS? You
idiots m Osippi. Come got you think I don't know?
The Gary Goleman routine where he talks about the masterminds
involved in the abbreviation. It's very funny comedy bit. He
does a whole bit on it. Coleman. Yeah, your own,

(24:13):
I don't know, look it up. You don't believe me? Man? Well,
what do we what do we learn so far? That
Jackson Dart is reckless and awesome and badass. But I
think the biggest conclusion we came to was that if
he continues to wear face paint, he has to be
reckless because you can't wear extra EyeBlack and face paint
and then like run out of bounce right, you got it?

(24:36):
It's misleading. Yeah, it's misrepresentation to some degree. And I
just think that he's a twenty two year old badass
and he's gonna play that way, and that's leading by example.
And these are highlights, like where are heads at? We're
talking like old guys, like we're investing in these dudes,
like these are the highlights that we're gonna see from

(24:58):
years to come. Should I have been like, yeah, Derek Jeters,
shouldn't have dove into the stands. Man. Come on, he
put himself at risk. No, as a fan, I want
to see that, not to mention. This is the NFL.
It's football, So props to him. As time goes on,
he'll switch his game up accordingly, at least you hope so. Badass,
fool or both. Let's wrap it with your phone calls.

(25:18):
We have more things to get to.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Man.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Prize is to give away things to talk about you
like all in Virginia. It's up, Mike.

Speaker 8 (25:26):
Hey, Rich Convino, love you guys. You guys are the best.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Thank you, bro.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
I like what Jackson dar is doing. Like you said,
he's trying to make a name himself. He's trying to
put his team on the shoulders. But here's a prime example.
This athlete, this NFL quarterback was by far the most
freak of nature, strongest that I've ever seen in our generation.
That's Cam Newton, and his kit career didn't last long
and even to this day that after that Denver Broncos

(25:53):
Super Bowl, Denver roughed his world up to where his
career is never the same. And so you know, Jackson Dart,
he should be careful. But I mean even the strongest.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Yeah, dude, Listen, the NFL does a lot to protect
these guys. They protect him now, but still there is
a layer of danger if you're a quarterback that runs.
Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen. There's guys that you know. I
always say Mahomes is really good at tiptoeing out of scenarios.
Mahomes never leaves himself vulnerable. Other guys aren't that careful Jackson.

Speaker 7 (26:28):
Dart is mobile, but he's not as much of a
threat as Cam was. Like, I think it was totally
a part of Cam's game. So Cam not running or
not doing what he should would have hampered his game.
He had to be smart about it. He had to
get out of bounds, he had to slide and do
those things. But I like Dart's got that ability to move,
even more so than like someone like Aaron Rodgers, who

(26:50):
thought was more of a passer. But yeah, you just
got to if you're any quarterback, I think you just
got to get out of bounds.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
You know what, look pretty mobile. The other the night
that I was reminded of, you might have heard of him,
Marcus marry Ota. He ran for lock almost fifty yards.
I think sure Mariota has got some legs. I forget
that Dart ran for twenty yards. Four carries twenty yards.

Speaker 7 (27:09):
Just another TikTok of Mario Ta Today.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Mariota, people are letentless. That's the only that's like one
of the few benefits of social media. People are pretty
funny out there. Other than that, it's terrible. It's also brutal.
Now let's say how to Roger in Tacomo. What's up ron, Hey, Roger?

Speaker 9 (27:25):
Yeah, you doing so. I'll give you this my story
before I give you my opinion. So when Russell Wilson
was maybe Daniel Mmans when he's a rookie, they had
just signed Matt Flentz a big contract. Of course, it
wasn't expected. He wasn't expected to start, but he was
so good in training camps they actually gave him Game
three of that preseason, which will used to be the

(27:45):
most important preseason game as a starter. He was doing
incredibly well. In the second half. He takes off out
of the pocket and he's gaining about fifteen yards and
here comes to defender straight at him. And if anyone
needed to prove his machoness, it was Russell Wilson. To
trying to win a job what did you do? He

(28:05):
took a left hand turn and he got out of bounds.
And as soon as you did that, I go that
guy's ready to start in the NFL because he's smart.
You have to be there for your team. Jackson's already
had two stints on the il. You don't have to
prove your manliness on the sideline. They need you to
play quarterback.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
You prove your manliness by being out there and playing. Yeah,
I agreed. And by the way, Marie, finishing debate, because
you're right, you have to be smart. But as a
football player, you also like to see that Mariota Mariota
fifty five yards rush five. Let's say, how to Caleb
in Missouri where you can now gamble Missouri?

Speaker 10 (28:42):
Hey guys, former last man standing, former second to last
man standing here?

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Oh yeah yeah over time?

Speaker 10 (28:50):
Yeah uh so the last caller I think hits it
on the head too, is like, what are you trying
to prove well on a two win team? You're trying
to prove what you can take a hit that you
know are the medical tint is. I don't think that
proves anything. I think Giants fans would much rather see
him prove he can read to cover four go through
his progressions. I mean, let's see, let's open the offense

(29:10):
in that way. Let's understand if we have the quarterback
of the future. Let's not understand that. Oh you're really tough,
you can take a hit. I get it gets the
guys going. But on a team that's going to draft
in the top five, what are we motivating here?

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Yeah, honestly, you ain't kidding. This team has promise if healthy,
but they have a lot of guys that are injury prone.
We'll see what happened. By the way, two great calls,
and I can't say they're wrong. Right, they're right, but
it's in their competitive nature. You're telling them to tone
it down. They're playing Monday night football. This dude's going

(29:46):
all out, So I understand. But you know, you guys
make great points, bad ass full We're both thank you again.
You can chime in at Covino and Rich Now before
we get to Mahomes show time trivia, before we get
to some more NFL and oh my god, this they

(30:06):
sound like a girl there, Oh I sound like my wife.
Oh how about this? Oh loaded? There are five NFL
games this week that are so unbelievably important. I was
looking at the schedule and I got like, uh, I
got a little NFL. My pants sounds nflans, Holy bananas.

(30:30):
Well we'll talk NFL. We're gonna play your schedule, watching
our schedule watching I was Sam who the rich loves
to look at the schedule, game schedule.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Watch it.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
I get tired of them. I want to go over
I'll never get tired of that. And we pause and
take in the fact that it's week fourteen. Yeah, that's insane, dude.
So five games will go over coming up and a
hypothetical that will really get you thinking. I was not
high or drunk when I thought of this, but it's
still a good one. But first, let's go to Dann
Bye for an update. Are pal dbway.

Speaker 7 (31:02):
Guys, some waves being made in college football as Old
Miss offensive coordinator Charlie Wise Junior, who's going to join
Lane Kiffin staff in Baton Rouge at LSU, Well, he
is going to coach Ole Miss through.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
The College Football playoff.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
So Charlie Wise Junior will be running the offense as
Lane is now in Baton Rouge. He'll rejoin the new
coaching staff once the Rebels playoff run ends. Kalani Sataki
is reportedly no longer a candidate to be the next
head coach at Penn State. ESPN reports that Sataki has
told those close to him that he is staying at

(31:35):
BYU Boston College.

Speaker 9 (31:37):
A D.

Speaker 7 (31:38):
Blake James announced TAD football coach Bill O'Brien will be
back in twenty twenty six. The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed wide
receiver Adam thielinoff of waivers from the Minnesota Vikings. Lions
wide receiver i'm On Ross Saint bromised his second straight
practice today because of an ankle injury. He says it's
still up in the air on whether he will be
able to play Thursday against the Cowboys. Freege wide receiver
Elijah Morris signing with the Broncos and Niners. GM John

(32:01):
Lynch said he was hopeful but wasn't sure if it
was realistic. The wide receiver Brandon Nyuk suits up at
all this season. When he spoke with KNBR earlier today,
Sesame Street helped raise all of us. Now it's our
turn donate this holiday season at sesame dot org because
the world needs Sesame and Sesame needs you. Some NBA
news Pelicans forward Zion Williamson's could have missed at least

(32:22):
three weeks of action because of an deductor strain. And
then Lo Gallinari announced that he is retiring from professional basketball,
and twenty first rank Kansas will be without Darren Peterson
tonight against number five yukon the seventh straight game he's
missed because of a hamstring strain. Finally, Tiger Wood says
he continues to recover from an October surgery to replace
a disc in his lower back.

Speaker 11 (32:43):
Unfortunately, I've been through this rehab process before as a
step by step and then once I get a feel
for practicing, exploding playing the recovery process, and then I
can assess where I'm going to play and how much
I will play.

Speaker 7 (32:53):
Yeah, it says the recovery so far has been slow,
as he's only been able to chip and putt guys
back to.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
You, Thank you, Dan Bayer. And isn't it interesting how
Dan Byer's career is not only given updates, but it's
like health updates. It's like you almost have to pivot
and know like medical terms and expectations, like your whole
job is is now shifting into.

Speaker 7 (33:14):
Like medical updates in terest states, I think that it
plays a role inmbedding and in fantasy. It's actually why
I think that information people want to know for their
fantasy teams, they want to know for lines and tiger Woods,
just because it's become so much of a conversation about
Tiger Woods and and specifically Zion Williamson right hurt Again.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
That's the one that baffled me the most. I'm like, geez,
are you saying, like Dan Byer, much like a TV
doctor knows enough to if he needed to do he
has to surgery. Yeah, yeah, like he has to know
a little more than the average sports guy. We've had
the dumb when it comes to injury. We've had the
dumb thought, Dan Byer that if you've played a doctor
on a TV show that lasted years and years, do

(33:55):
you think just you know more than the average guys.
Let's say you were on a plane. All right, you're
on a plane. Is there any doctors here? I would
trust that guy more than any other guy. So it's like,
do you have any doctors? Do you have anyone that
played a TV doctor? That's like number two? Yeah, I
asked to be does anyone do sports injury? Updates. I
was like, I know a little something about Hya ankle spring.

Speaker 7 (34:15):
If someone on a plane suffered to write a doctor
stray and I would say, the next three weeks are
not going to be good for you.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Is it your turf toe in row five turf tote?

Speaker 5 (34:27):
But if Dan pulls out, like is it Liz Frank That.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Liz Frank injury, So that's going to really impress the
updates man, thank you, damn man. By the way, Dann Buyer,
not the three on the spot. I know that's a
trend recently. Don't want to put people on the spot.
But my dude, Brandon Ayuk, is there any incentive for
him to play at all this year for the Niners,
because I, like you said, every day, I feel like
reporters and update guys like you were getting mixed. But

(34:54):
he wants to play. He may be now it's like
he doesn't look like he's going to.

Speaker 7 (34:57):
No, it doesn't make any sense. I think it would not.
I think it would ruin the chemistry. Guys need to
know their roles in the playoffs and to try to
incorporate Brandon Ayuk in the postseason doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Yeah, well, hey, what a weird story that is when
you think about how Ayuk didn't want to be a Niner,
then sign some big deal, gets hurt immediately, and then
never really plays for the Niners. A rich not that
I'm not listening, but what do you think of Jackson
Dart's nerdle neck that he's rocking at the press conference.
That's a lot. That's the George steinbren Or turtleneck. That's

(35:28):
a guy that steps out of bounce. All right, right,
maybe he's like, yeah, maybe I'm toning it down. Moving forward,
I'm gonna rock a turtleneck. Now if he wears a
turtle neck well like tinted glasses, then yes, all right,
we got more Coveno on a wretch, a dumb hypothetical,
A bunch more NFL all coming your way here on
Fox Sports Radio. By the way, Rich Santa Claus is

(35:52):
on his way to you and your backwards hat. By
the way, look at this shirt. What a sweet shirt
I have. If you're watching on YouTube, look at this
bad boy. You should throw that in your fire pit.
So it's a weakish shirt. Savage af with a big
head of Fred Savage. Well, you're not a fan of
the wonder years. I am you too good, but not
enough to have Fred Savage on my shirt.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Fred Savage wears his hat backwards too.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Are you sure it's not Ben? It'll take Ben Savage anyway.
You're Ben Savage even weaker. Codino Enrich live from the
Fox Sports Radio studios and his time for our tire
IRAQ Play of the day. Patriots ran away with the
game and the Giants gave us one of the strangest
special teams plays you'll ever see. But pushing at my staff,
the kick got dumb well the right now. He never

(36:38):
kicked it. He never kicked it.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
He k kicked out.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Go to time out with six twenty two to go
here in the second that's courtesy of ninety eight five
kicked the ground the sports hub. That was worse than
like a Charlie Brown move man, Patriots Radio Network, and
that was our tire Rack Play of the Day. For
over forty years, Tyraq has been helping customers find the
right tires for how, what and where they drive, ship
fast and free back by free. It has a protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation all at

(37:04):
tire rack dot com or tire buying should be and
we should talk about that. Man, Young ho I believe him.
In fact, it's not Young ho Ku. Unfortunately, No, it
is Young Wayku. I made.

Speaker 5 (37:15):
I actually made the same mistake. I said young Oku
once and I got laughed at. Is young Wayku?

Speaker 1 (37:20):
What I hear? I texted you guys about that. I know,
but I thought you were wrong in lying or joking
or something. No, no, very serious. Yeah, I know it
looks like that, but I mean I hear them say that,
but then again, I trust you. Sam Dan's nodding his head.

Speaker 7 (37:35):
The Sam's right, Yeah, it's Young Wayku.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Young Wayko, how about that. I believe him. By the way,
we're going to talk about it later. You think it's
a weak ass excuse I believe them? Well, I'm a
little flip floppy on it because I saw two different
angles of the ball. He said that the ball was
slip and move in a little bit. So we held up.
And that's why, do you know what helped why I
put the conversation on a hold. Let's start me. I

(37:59):
was and trying to let me listen to the dude right.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Now kind of slipped out at the bottom, so it
was moving, you know. I wasn't able to kick to
the ball. The ball was moving when I was driving
to it, so I just pulled up on it.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
And you pulled your leg and get stuck here.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
No, No, I couldn't. As I was driving to the
ball was the bottom of the ball was slipping out,
So I just pulled up on it.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Same. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I
thought he was way coop until yesterday. There you go,
very good because that was weak. Dude was still way cool.
I mean, I think I saw the side angle in
slow motion and it was just so minimal. But when
you're a kicker, the long snapper of the holder, this
is a game of precision. And I did see a

(38:41):
little slippage. Ye, the ball was not upright before. That
wasn't a hold up. That was a misfire. I saw
two different angles. One angle you're like, you know, it's
not moving, what's he talking about? Then you do see
another one and they readjust it last minute, But I
don't know. It looked very much like he missed his target.
He timed it wrong, or he just didn't His step

(39:04):
was off, you know, because he kicks the ground pretty hard.
So your thoughts on that. You've got you an excuse maker,
by the way, yeah, and you are. The answer is yes,
I was. I'll answer for you. If we go bowling
and Cavino stinks, it's always the oil on the lanes
isn't right. But that's true. You go with the hook.
You can't if the lanes aren't oil, we go to

(39:25):
if we go to the gym and play pick up
basketball or twenty one or something. If Cavino stinks, had
the ball was not inflated the right way? Caveno's an
excuse guy with sports. I mean, I never thought of
myself that way. But if you want to, like put
me out there on national radio as that guy, and
you want me to be that guy, then I guess
I will be. You're the Hey coup of the man,

(39:46):
and Rich is just a degree. He doesn't justify every
wrong answer that he gets. On last one's stand, I'm
a man that sticks by my mistakes. Rich isn't the
guy that justifies every single thing he says wrong. Still,
I mean, he is right about the bowling thing, but
let's talk about the worst excuses. Let's say he's full

(40:09):
of it. I don't know in reality, though it's a
tough call. I'm not sure what happened there. I'm really
not I see two different angles of it does move
a little bit, but enough for that. I don't know
worst excuses based on that though.

Speaker 5 (40:25):
It looked painful, Like if you're pulling out and you're
just jamming your foot into the ground, that that's like why,
why that's like extra damage, Like don't you feel.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
You did that messing around trying to kick a field
goal that you hurt your toe. It's possible. I feel
like I've done that. So we'll get to your phone
calls next. Right here on Covino and Rich
