fight Friday.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I'm super pumped pumped from last night. I got residual
pump from the game last night. Week sixteen, no thanks,
But Week sixteen started with a bang, dude and Rich.
Unfortunately for you, both teams didn't lose.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
But but but the best thing happened for the forty
nine ers because they now controlled their fate.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
How insane is that?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Right?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Good for you, Rich, you got good news.

Speaker 2 (00:57):

Dicky Doodle Davis?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
I was.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
I was texting Dan Bayer last night at the Great
Dann Buyer about the no I'm you know, I always
wanted to be a rich this guy.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Why you? But I can't be the only one that
thought though Seahawks uniforms were on.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Five like those are sweet, like the little glimmer, the
little shimmer.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I like that. I mean, who does it like a
little holiday glimmer and shimmer.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
DUDEA it was nice. You know what.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Even I had a text Dan Byer and you know,
I'm a grumpy guy that doesn't want to bother anybody
and I don't want to be bothered.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Even I I.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Didn't FaceTime, I'm like you did, Rich, but I did
shoot him a text to be like, yo, nice win.
That was an exciting game, bro, that was really great.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
I will say this about the helmets. Don't you think
that they found a new shade of green that we've
never seen before?

Speaker 5 (02:40):
That?

Speaker 6 (02:40):
Yeah, Like it was just like is it ever green?
Is it regular green? What is that green? But it worked?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
It's magical green. I Holiday magic.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I thought everything about that game was amazing, from the
comeback because there was a time where when they turned
the ball over in the red zone again DV, you
were like, all right, this Ain and R night And then.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
You're like, wait up.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
When they hit that first two point conversion, not the
controversial one, the first one, I was like, Okay, now
they're down by eight, that's doable. Because you missed that
you're down by ten and it's a different ballgame. And
you know, everything about that game was insane. I loved it.
Dan Byer had to love it even more. But uh, Covino,
you're right A what A What an opportunity for Sam

(03:21):
Darnold step up, and he finally did, right after a
couple of misses.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Dude, insane game. Lots of fun to watch the poise
of this guy. Honestly, I was nervous. I was that
was one of those games where you stand up and
you stand in front of the TV and you're like,
all right, right, is he gonna pull this two point
conversion off? And he did, but not without controversy, And
we're gonna get to that. But Dan, you made me
think of something else too. And this is silly, but

(03:44):
I want to point this out. I've always loved the
stories about Michael Jackson. In fact, Jimmy Jam shared some
about how particular Michael Jackson was about his music and
the sounds and being creative and how he dwelled on
certain words and sounds and things with the song you
could hear it on over promised our bonus podcast, We
talked sports and music with Jimmy Jam superstar producer Michael Jackson.

(04:08):
The artist was obsessed with creating sounds that people.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Never heard before.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
He wanted to incorporate sounds that were brand new to
our ears. And I really do believe that color was
a brand new color to our eyes. I don't know
what that was.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
That Seahawks color last night was something I don't think
we've ever seen before. What was it?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But you think they invented a color?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yes, I think they invented a color last night because
I've never seen it before.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
So props to them.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Man.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I'm not one to really harp on the look and
the colors like you, but Dan Buyer has to get
a new helmet for his collection. And I've never seen
that color before, not on the road, not on a car,
not on a helmet.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
It was pretty dope, it was.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
And by the way, even some of the other uniforms
we've seen, we've kind of been hit and miss, and
Rich I know we haven't seen your Niners and we'll
see their rivalry uniforms in week eighteen. But this is
one that I thought landed. Like the Bills when they
wore those, it was okay. I wasn't as big of
a fan of the Patriots. I think you guys liked
the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
One did like the Patriots I thought that was a cooler,
cooler vibe like frost right the Patriots.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
From Yeah Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
But I felt that this one was more of something
that was more universally accepted or appreciated by the football
community as opposed to the other ones that we've seen this.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Year and dB side note, if people don't know, Dan
Buyer collects all the helmets, like many helmets of all
the games, in all the new renditions and versions of
these helmets, does the wife eventually say all right, enough
with the helmets.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
No, And that's why I married her. In fact, I
have them display it. I've sent you guys pictures and
she actually thinks it looks really good.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
On the wall.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
It's not what if you run out of wall space
event like there are a bunch that are in tots.
You just have to do it with discretion. It Also,
we've talked about this with you know, we had Benny
and Studio and Emma earlier this week, I think it
was this week when they were talking about all the teams.
That's how I've taught my on the teams. He knows
the helmets, so I think she's all for that as well.

(06:04):
So it's just the when I have different Seahawks ones,
he knows the logos or a different Bills one. When
we were in Buffalo, I picked up the rivalry helmet
and so he knew that it was Bills, but he
knew it wasn't the normal Bills.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
So that helps that way.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And you know, it's cool that look that helmet. It's
all synonymous with a really great win. So I did
text Dan Byern last night.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Rich.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I think all of our buddies were texting each other, like, Yo, dude,
you watching this. My brother texted me this game is
fire friends I haven't heard from in a long time.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Dude, you watching this game?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Hit up Dan Byer, congrats it to win, he goes man,
that two point conversion they didn't get was overturned. I
feel kind of guilty about it. Is that a normal feeling?
You're just happy that you won. Should you feel any
sort of guilt if you're a Seahawks fan? Or is
that the right call and you won? And that's sick?

Speaker 6 (06:54):
I think most people would take it that way. But like,
when does that happen? When does the whistle blow in
the ball there and your guy just happens to pick
it up and it ends up tying the game.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Dude, call it. Call it. You know, sometimes a little
luck is part of the equation.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
And it was a backwards pass happened to just float
near the end zone, picked it up two point conversion.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I stand by.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
I don't think anyone would really debate it. I heard
Mike Harmon and Jason Smith last night. I happen to
be where was I was driving around somewhere, Oh, and
I heard them saying that.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Somewhere where'd you go out for a late night massage?
Where were you?

Speaker 3 (07:31):
No? Actually, you know what, believe it? Or I played
softball like ten o'clock last night?

Speaker 1 (07:34):
You forgot No.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
I was like, why was I driving around late at night?

Speaker 4 (07:37):
And they were saying that it's not hit, it's not
in the.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Spirit of the game. And I'm like, yeah, but what's
the spirit of the game?

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Like, I get it, it wasn't intended, but by the rules,
backwards pass deflection end zone picked up two point conversion.
You can't twist the rules because it's not in the spirit.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Of the game.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
They got it right, And we want to know your
thoughts on the game. And I do want to ask this.
It's an obvious question, but is Sam Donald elite and
we just don't want to give him that credit because
of his path. Everybody has a different path, everyone has
a different journey, right, I'll give you an example, Rich,
everybody starts out somewhere.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I started off in radio as a van driver.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
That's sort of your come up, right, You drive the van,
you work in promotions, you hang up banners, you give
out stickers, and the.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Irony of that is that you're the worst driver. We know.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Oh yeah, but you got to get your foot in
the door, right, And my way was to work in promotions,
radio promotions, on.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
The Street team Kate Rock New York.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
No matter what I did, ever, people still pointed at
me like, yeah, that guy used to be on the
Street team. So I don't think I really ever got
the credit I deserved as I came up and hey,
look at me now Fox Sports Radio nationwide, the world
famous Cavino and Rich show.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Right.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
But to some people still the van driver. You think,
because Sam Donald had this journey, had this path, he's
not getting the credit he'd because we still remember him
as a jet and how he bounced around and everything else.
Because this dude is playing like on another level. I
think on a big stage. That was a big game
last night. OHI it's a I.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Think it's a moderate level of r SPC T. I
think he gets just starting to get it. Well, you know,
why can you know because there's you know, if you're
a diehard football fan, you remember him in college as well,
and you're like, oh, well, Sam Darnold did come with
a lot of hype, and then I think there is
something to be said. We're seeing more and more people
understand that, hey, the Jets could.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Really just ruin a guy.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yeah, you know that's part of it.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
But I think that like, yeah, he still has that
or had that stank on him a little bit that
you know, he was on that team and he was
part of that misery.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
You know, dB will back me up on this, I'm sure,
and if not, then screw him. But no, damn tred
Danill backed me up in that. When he played for Minnesota,
you could be like, well, you know, he's playing under
like a quarterback whisperer and like it was the right circumstance.
Now that they're in first place and have a path
to the one seat and he's on yet another team,
you have to start saying Sam Donald might not be
a leade. He's not Josh Allen Mahomes top tier.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
You're still hesitant to say it. The guy's done it.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
For two teams that tier.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I don't want to throw out fake stats. But I
was talking to Mike, who runs his place.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
What does Zach I know?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Well, he didn't know completely, so yeah, I give you that.
He said that. Colin Cowherd said in his last thirty
nine game, he's like thirty.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
And nine or something like that.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
He's got a great record.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Yeah, yeah, something like that.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
So I think we do need to put some respect
down his name a little more.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
I mean, I don't know if he's wins and I
don't know if wins and losses are how you can
really determine success, because then you could say a guy
like Jimmy Garoppolo's like top tier as well, because Jimmy
g is a Niner and.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
You know he's true.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
It's how you do it, and he did it with
two different teams.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
But Donald is twenty six and six.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Well, Mike was wrong, Rich was right.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Number twenty six and six is damn good, dude.

Speaker 5 (10:53):
Well it's better than thirty and nine.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Yeah, yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
You got to keep him in that conversation of dudes
that really turned it around and how a different setting
could really change everything for you.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
So props to him.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
The funny thing with Donald is this, and this is
why I side with Rich is the interceptions have always
been there. It's now you just got to deal with it.
Like I listen, I got married later in life. I
lived a life as a single person for a long time.
So did my wife.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Not everyone likes helmets, Dan, right.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
So they are just things that and it's not a
matter of like my wife does a lot of interceptions,
but that that's who they are. That's that's who Sam
Donald is, right, And you're not going to get the
overtime Sam Donald that you got if he's not throwing
those interceptions.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
And I've said to you guys before, I think it's
it's it.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
It is something that could derail the Seahawks season. Like
a Sam Donald interception he leads the NFL and turnovers
he does with interceptions and fumbles combined. Sam Donald leads
the end. But for what they're paying him and what
he did last night, the Seahawks think that it was
worth it. And you just hope if you're a Seahawks
fan like me that you can get more of the overtime,

(12:10):
second half or fourth quarter, Sam Donald, than maybe you
did in the earlier game.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
And Dan, that's a great point in relationships with players
on a team, you like coworkers.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Someone could be great, but there's always something where you're like, well.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
If they didn't do this, like if my wife wasn't
so damn messy, or you know, like I was saying,
you know, like Kman I was saying last night, too
many times Sam Donald put them in a bad position
because he took a sack when it's like, dude, just get.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Rid of the ball, throw it away, do something.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
And then all of a sudden you got a second
and sixteen or something, and it's like, get rid of
the ball.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
And there were a couple of funny plays.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
I want to just point out last night, and I'm
sure you Danny g Dan Bayer. Everyone remembers. It was
like a third and sixteen. The crowd immediately started booing
when they ran the ball, but then there was a
run for seventeen yards in a first down to.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Just Kenneth Walker.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yeah, Kenneth Walker bust open for seventeen on a third
and sixteen drup play and the crowd went from booing
to cheering.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
I think without even taking the breath.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
You're exactly right.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
You know what's wild about talking to your buddies while
the game is on is your friends may have some
action on the game. Like I'm pretty sure my brother
had some money on the game last night. And I'm
talking like, yo, dude, you watching his game, but I'm
watching ahead of him, like I don't know, like his TV,
his cable or whatever he's watching on his Prime I
guess is behind mine. So I'm like, oh, so when

(13:39):
that seventeen yard run was happening, he's like, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
You wait?

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Did they score? Because he's behind me.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
So anyway, I was watching while talking to my brother
and texting everybody. It was a great Thursday night football
game and rich and you know, congratstor forty nine ers
like you said, they control their destiny.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Yeah, it's it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
We're gonna go over that stuff later as we get
into week sixteen. Now, the two point conversion at the end,
and I don't blame you, and I'm not throwing you
into the bus, but Cavino and a bunch of my
buddies were hit me up like should they have gone
for two first?

Speaker 2 (14:14):
And maybe they said it on the broadcast, but again
I was talking to people in texting and I'm just
watching it.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
I did and hear what they said. I'm like, man,
this is a bold move.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
But you know what they did point it out. I'm
sure Al Michaels and Herbstreet pointed out. But even going
into the game, if you follow the NFC West like
I do as a Niners fan, you.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Knew that if the game ended in a tie, A,
it did.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
The forty nine Ers no favors, and B it did
the Seahawks no favors. Because if it was a tie,
then the head to head between the Seahawks and the
Rams is Rams are one to oh to one and
the Seahawks would be oh one and one. So if
the Seahawks let that game end at a tie, it's
almost the same as the loss because unless they win
the division, they're a wild card. Right, So you go

(15:00):
the win on the two point conversion in overtime because
if you miss it, you're in the same position you are,
playoff seating wise for the most part, right, I mean,
a tie is sort of like an l there so
it's ballsy, but not really because it's like going for
the win or not. It's because a tie in that
case is sort of like an l.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
Yeah and the other There are a couple of things
that you're one hundred percent right. And there were three
minutes still left on the clock in overtime, but you
know that the Rams would have worked the clock, so
the Seahawks weren't going to touch the ball again. So
that's the decision. What's also interesting is because of all
the multiple two point conversions that the Seahawks had earlier
in the game to get back in it, maybe the

(15:41):
one that they had here in overtime wasn't their best
play because they had already used a couple that they
felt were better plays.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
They already used their patented backwards pass off the defender's
helmet by the goal line it you.

Speaker 5 (15:53):
Know that picked up after the whistlo.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
They already used that trick one and dB. Interestingly enough,
I'm sure you did this as a Seahawks fan. You
looked ahead and said, well, if there is a tie, well,
there are a couple games left, and then you see
that the Rams play the Falcons and the Cardinals, and
those are likely to wins. So if you want to
win the division and you're the Seattle Seahawks, there's no
doubt you go for that overtime two point cover.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
They're going to make the playoffs. There are ninety nine
percent chance, regardless early of the outcome last night, so
they're very likely in So you have to go if
you would have went for a tie, that takes winning
out of it and only brings the other stuff into
the equation. Here's my quick question now that we've seen
it this season, and it goes back to the Super
Bowl with the Riches Niners against the Chiefs and the

(16:38):
kicking or taking the ball. At what point, now, if
you have the football first, do you go for two?
So the Rams score and kick the extra point? Right
with the only the ten minute quarters, we're seeing like
there's not a lot of time to go in and
maybe not every team would would go for two, but
the Rams were at a disadvantage because they scored for

(17:00):
and then just kick the extra point. At what point
do you say, you know what, maybe it's just worth
us going for two in the scenario and making it
an eight point game and hoping we just stop the
team on four downs or stop at two point play
then just kicking the extra point, because it was quite
an advantage for the Seahawks to be able to know
that they could go for two and win the game. Y, Yeah,
don't mean to go first. It would be very risky

(17:22):
to say, well, we're only taking a six point lead,
but if teams are gonna do what Seattle did, maybe
it's not as much of a risk.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
As we would think. Or dB, can we just go
to fifteen minute overtime?

Speaker 6 (17:32):
Yeah, that would help too, Yeah, Dan, But then rich
wouldn't make Thursday night ten o'clock softball, you know, all right,
like several times now where it's a possession, a long possession,
seven to seven, and then the team that scores second
has to go for the two point conversion because there's
not enough time left on the clock.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
So the ten minute thing is not working out in
my opinion.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Yeah, and I know you guys are well, I know
you guys are dining note four for five with two doubles.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Just oh good.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
No, no nobody cared about, yeah, no one, No one
cared about.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
That's because the leftfielder was sleeping.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yeah, and he was eighty five years old.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
But a few other observations last night's game, like the
back and forth with Nicoua and Cooper Cup and that
that one catch in the fourth quarter that Cooper Cup
made insane, but that friendly back and forth and that
competition was so cool to see. And did anyone noticey
I mentioned, you know, I'm standing up watching to see

(18:28):
if they get this. They panned the camera over to
Stafford and Nikoua and some people on the sidelines and
they're like paling around, laughing and smiling. Meanwhile, I'm like, yo, dude,
how were they not like, obviously they're in the moment
they can lose everyone. No, no, no, That's really my point.
It's really crazy to see how loose and how much
fun they really are having because I was kind of

(18:50):
nervous watching. I think in a moment playing slap pass
on the sideline, they're thinking, we're doing everything we can.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
In Nikua had two hundred plus receiving yards Stafford. Stafford
sort of solidified the MVP if he asked me, even
though they lost.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
They put up a show.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Dude.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
They're thinking, you know, we're doing everything we can. Let's
play loose, let's keep it fun.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
It just was a wild as you like to say
juxtaposition or contrast. Yeah, you know, to know how nervous
and in the zone. We were watching it and they
were there just like having fun on the sideline, like
smiling and laughing.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
I couldn't believe Stafford was that loose.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
You see when the Stafford got hit hard once they panted,
Jimmy g and he's on the sideline. It looks like
he's looks like he's modeling for NFL shop, Like.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, stop being so handsome, dude. All right, so your thoughts.
There's a lot of people chiming in where they have
thoughts on the game. Last night eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox, it felt like, uh, like, I can't
say Game of the Year. You're right, I don't want
to be the boy right tell me about a game then,
you know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
I haven't written down right here.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I thought you were gonna make fun of me for
saying that, because I'm always the guy that's like, dude,
that was the fight of the year.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
You're the boy. You're the boy that cries Fight of
the Year. You're not the boy that cries Game of
the Year. I didn't want to be prisoner of the
but hell of a game last night.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
Can we agree it was the best fourth quarter in
overtime of the season.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Well you know why, Danny, I think when you talk
about best games, and like you said, best quarters, I
think you know what's at steak is also a big
part of that.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
And this was for the one seed in the NFC.
So if you're gonna.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Say game of the year, well hell yet, because I
think you saw the one seed fall into the lap
of the Seahawks after they were ballsy and went for
that two point conversion.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
And I think looking forward, and I'm not.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Just saying this because I'm a Niners fan, for the
good of football, for the good of the viewer, for
the good of the game. If the Niners they should
beat Indianapolis with old man rivers.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
On Monday night, they should.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
If they then go on to beat the Bears in
the Bay in San Francisco, that Week eighteen matchup Seahawks
Niners would be for the one seed. The winner gets
a buy and home field, and the loser is a wildcard.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
I think that's just great football. Write that script.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Come on, so a great way to start Week sixteen,

Yeah, buddy, yeah, you know this song broke a record, Camino,
Whether you love the song or not, Little Mariah, what's
the record throughout all the years? You know, around Christmas,
there's always charts on the Billboard Hot one hundred.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
I mean, look, I'm not Mariah Carey guy. I find
her to be highly annoying that the whole diva mattitude.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
But this song is magical.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Oh, this song is magical. Yeah, and I'm not a
fan of her. I agree, you know what?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
And I hate on the song.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
You and I on the same page.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Ok, this song has been number one twenty weeks over
the years now really non consecutively. But how often does
the song rechart? So it's that little caveat where if
it's number one two weeks a year for you know,
a decade, So over twenty weeks now.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Over Christmas rappings by the waitresses over uh Mary, Merry Christmas.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
By Yoko and John Yo. Can I ruin that for everybody?

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Obviously you know Lennon and Yoko ona wor a thing.
But have you ever really noticed her isolated lyrics at
the end of that song.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
They make you want to vomit.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
It ruins, the whole song ruins. Once you hear it,
you can't unhear it. Because here's what it sounds like.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I have a marry Mary chrisms.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
I'm not happy new ye Oh my.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
God, I allow that. For years I thought it was
annoying children.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
I dealt with it. Then I'm like, wait, that's Yoko.
Oh no, oh, my god, No, I hate it.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
But anyway, Happy Hanukah, Happy holidays. Let's have a happy
holiday weekend. You know what, Iowa Sam has it isolated?
Take a listen. Is it this part? No, it's at
the very end. Yeah, it's hard. I'll find it, you know,
unless you want people to vomit, just leave it alone.
We're live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. Sesame Street
helped raise all of us. Now it's our turn donate

(24:54):
this holiday season at sesame dot org because the world
needs sesme and Sesame needs you. Now, rich let me
tell you what's on the menu. Besides some panatone, some fruitcake,
and some treats Grandma's butter cookies.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
The menu for tonight I ordered a play like a
platter of Mexican food and I ordered pizza like I
made the order says that could pizza or Mexican.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
You got a choice for fight night.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
You know what, who's gonna argue that? We have Brainwave
coming up. It's the game that sweeping the nation. Is
very visual, very interactive, so we urge you to watch
and play along again YouTube dot com slash at Covino
and Rich FSR Covino and RICHFSR on YouTube your chance
to win some prizes, a great stocking stuff for our

(25:39):
cn R on FSR nerve football brand new, and we
got Rich's big TV game of the week and weekem
hobnobn coming up. So we have so much to get to, man,
but we got to wrap up this Thursday night football game.
It really was a hell of a game and a
great way to start the weekend.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Well, you know, Dan Bayer, Danny j All the schedule
watchers like me realize that the craziest wild pun attended
part of this cove is that there's two games left
for those two teams. The Niners have three games left
the NFC West. Each team has the ability to either
be the one seed or the seventh seed, which that's

(26:19):
a big little shift the route. Now you could be
the one seed or the final last wildcard seed, depending
on how you do over the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Out you're rich. Do you have more?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
You have more fun watching the schedule or watching drunk
girls come out of the club in Vegas?

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Oh? Both? You know? Wow?

Speaker 4 (26:36):
All there for you drunk girls coming out of the
club in Vegas. We used to call them one shoe
dirty foot club stumblers.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Right, one shoe dirty foot club stumblers because they come
out with one shoe on and dirty feet. Yeah, man,
schedule watching all right? Yeah, let's get seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Before we play way, let's take some phone calls. DANYG.
You want to start in Fillmore, California? Or do you

(27:06):
want to start with Tim? Where do you want to go?

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yeah, let's go to Alejandro? Alejallejandro? What's up?

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Man? Hey?

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Bro?

Speaker 7 (27:13):
Okay, So when you were talking about you're talking to
you guys are signed to your brother and like he's
ahead of you in the system. Yeah, that is the
worst thing ever. Because my girlfriend lives in Portland and
I'm in southern California and i hear her yelling on
the phone and I'm like, what happened? Like wait what?

Speaker 2 (27:35):
It's kind of weird though, because we're all hudro the
same thing, right, Alejandro?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
It is infuriating. In fact, I've tried to tell my friends.
I have a bunch of met fan friends back east.
When they're watching the Mets on local SNY and I'm
watching on the MLB app they're five to ten seconds
ahead sometimes and they'll be texting like hell yeah, and
I'm like, don't stop.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
So I urge him. I say, hey, guys, can you pause?

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Everyone hauls for five seconds and then restarted, and we
get text throughout the game, because I'm not gonna play
these little games where you and I are texting and
you're ten seconds ahead and you know, you know.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Cooper cup over the middle for fifteen yards and I
don't know that yet. I can't know it.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Thank you, Ali, Alejandro. Let's go to Jimmy in KC.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
What up Jimmy? Oh, he's so right though, there's nothing
more annoying.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
It is this annoyed. I was that guy last night.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
What up?

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Jimmy, Jimbo Yo, Jimmy top, Jimmy, whoa Jimmy top?

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Jimmy, Jimmy failed, Jimmy, Jimmy, do what you gotta do?

Speaker 1 (28:41):
You know what? Jimmy beat it. Let's talk to Timmy instead.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
How do you know? Nothing? Dad happened to Jimmy. I
hope you're okay.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
I hope he's fine. Call back.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
That's what he was on a cell phone. I hope
everything's all right.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox and of course
at Covino and Rich on social media.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
What up Tim? In New York City?

Speaker 8 (28:57):
I was I thought you were mispronouncing my name. I
didn't know if it was my turn, but I hope
you Okay. Yeah, but I was thinking texting my buddies today,
I think I know how to fix college.

Speaker 7 (29:06):
Football bowl season.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Oh, let's do again.

Speaker 7 (29:11):
So you know, we get all.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
The matchups and instead of playing it now, you play
it week one, so you get all weeks, you get
all off season to prepare, you get the storylines. The
game means something. Is that you know fresh late and
before you say different teams, no one's playing their players anymore.
Everyone's opting out and getting in the transfer portal. So
this this gives you a fresh chance to really make

(29:33):
ball season matter again.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Bro, I feel like you smoked a ball before you
thought of that one. That's that's wild. Carry the playoffs
over to the next season. He smoked the ball before
he tried to fix the ball. Yes, what's up, dB,
It's not just the playoffs. It's not the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (29:51):
He's just talking about these meaningless bowl games, which, by
the way, I love team's enthusiasm. Other people have brought
this up as well as that maybe to get value.
Although nobody wants to go to Florida and Tampa in
late August, which is part of the reason, now why
these bulls are. People want to get away from the
cold weather, even though there are some cold weather Bowl games.

(30:12):
The premise is is go someplace nice, have a nice vacation.
But the balls don't mean much anymore, and that would
be a way of adding value to it.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Thank you, dB.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
Let me ask Dan Byer, being that the playoff has
been you know, now it's twelve teams, and when we
were on our come up, there was no championship, then
there was a championship game. Then there was a smaller
you know, you know, a pool of four, and that
it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Back in the day,
top draft picks would sit things out unless they were
in the national championship game. Are any players in the

(30:41):
top twelve in the playoff you think anyone will opt
to sit?

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Or is that just like bad taste? You can't be
sitting in the playoff, right.

Speaker 6 (30:48):
Yeah, you probably won't see that, but we've, as you said,
we've seen for a while now in meaningless Bowl games
players sitting out because of injury. We've got guys who've
been injured in college football seasons that have said, you
know what, I'm probably not going to make it back
this year. I'm just going to kind of focus on,
you know, the rest of my college days and focusing

(31:09):
on trying to get to the NFL. We've seen that,
but to opt out of a of a playoff run
would be crazy. We have seen players on teams enter
the transfer portal and remain with their teams through their
postseason run. That happened last year. But yeah, to completely
opt out of a playoff game, you probably won't see.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
I want to give some shout outs for Rich.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
The live chat is pop and you could stay interactive
at Covino and Rich FSR and you too, Manny Munios,
Wes in Vegas, Scott for Mayor. I see that people
are saying the fight is rigged tonight.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
It is not.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Steve Underscore Man one ninety nine says if Paul wins,
it's one thousand percent rig after show, but later says,
you look really handsome in the studio that you're in
right now, our over promised studio.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Oh this is I'm in the home studio today because uh,
if you want the truth, my kids had their school
concert and Dan Byer, I know you said you went
to your kids for a school concert the other day.
As we get into the update, had to go for
a little brody. Did he have fun or what?

Speaker 6 (32:14):
He had a great time? Loved it, you guys a freezer.
Did he lean into it? No, he was into it. Yeah,
he was into the whole to the whole deal. They
were first.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Funny, it's the first time most of us see our
kids on a stage. Is like a pre k or
kindergarten little Christmas show and your kid is either the
ham or they're.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
Just like, yeah he bought it.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Yeah, so he brought it. Thanks to thanks for our
buss Scott. He said, watch the show and do the
show from home.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
You know, you don't want to miss those those little
kindergarten performances.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
They do them once you got to be there.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
Yeah, it was quite the show. And the line was
long before they opened the doors. It was a long
line to get in, so seating was at a premium.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Oh nice, it's a I know what I did this morning,
Dan Buyer. I told my wife, I'm like go early,
stand in line. I'll drop the kids off strategies. It's like, yeah,
you know, like like your tailgating or something. You need strategies.
All right, let's get to DB's update.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
What's going on, Dan, there's my music.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
The NFL find Pookinnakua twenty five grand for criticizing the
officials earlier this week and after yesterday's lost to the Seahawks.
Seahawks edge rusher Derek Hall, he's been suspended one game.
The linebacker got a one game band, but he's appealing
the suspension for stepping on the leg of Rams lineman
Kevin Dotson last night at the NFL called the act
unnecessary and unsportsmanlike. Chiefs wide receiver where she rice out

(33:32):
against the Titans. Steelers edge rusher TJ. Watt is not
going to play against the Lions on Sunday, still out
because of that lung issue. Falcons wide receiver Drake London
expected to return from his knee injury to play against
the Cardinals coming up on Sunday. You guys talked about
college football at Alabama and Oklahoma first round game tonight
eight o'clock Eastern time, winner gets Indiana and the Rose

(33:53):
Bowl on New Year's Day, Gasparilla Bowl wrapping up in Tampa.
Just six minutes left and spent all NC State. They're
up thirty one to seven on Memphis. Western Michigan won
the Myrtle Beach Bowl over at Kennesas State today forty
one to six. The Angels and the family of late
pitcher Tyler Skaggs reached a settlement shortly before a jury
was set to reach a verdict in the one hundred
and eighteen million dollar lawsuit brought by the family against

(34:14):

a three team trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. In

Speaker 4 (35:12):

Speaker 2 (35:23):
These guys are my number one favorite Siberian orchestra around.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Goodyear, Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Happy Holidays.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
It is time this Siberian Orchestra is trans Now.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
We are live from the Fox Sports Radio studio and
it's time for our tire Iraq play of the day.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
What a wild.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Finish, to say the least. In Seattle, it sounds like
a church right now. The twelves are being quiet for
the offense.

Speaker 9 (35:58):
Sam empties the back and now we bring charbone back inside.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Three receivers to the right. Motion back inside.

Speaker 9 (36:06):
Is Barner, darnold pastime looks hitside hits.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Talk cut down, make it extra ployt make a conversion.
I don't care what it is good. Say Yawks win
the game?

Speaker 9 (36:18):
Hook in on the last playing the game, don't say
Yawks win thirty eight thirty seven hit sobber with a
two point conversion catch Holy.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Cow, Holy Cow is right Battle in Seattle. That's courtesy
of Seahawks Radio Network and that was our tire rack

(36:53):
buying should be. What a game still recovering? And what
a night fight night tonight and what a contree?

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Am I right? So rich?

Speaker 2 (37:04):
We have lots to get to Brainwave, Big TV Game
of the Week, weekend hobnobbing, but real quick, right quick.
I want to remind everybody that we have a bonus
pod called over Promised right and it's a great show.
I really believe in it. Give us twenty two minutes,
We'll give you the world. It's like twenty to twenty
five minutes. And yesterday we broke down the fight like

(37:25):
in detail and we had a fight expert on the
show two Tone to Superstar broke it down with us,
and not only did we talk about Jake Paul and
AJ tonight, but we talked about Shakur Stevenson and Tia Fimo.
Next month, we talked about Bud Crawford's retirement and Rich
gave us his week sixteen picks. So again, that's on

(37:46):
our YouTube page Covino and Rich FSR if you want
to check it out. And I am so pumped for
the fight tonight. Bro, I am so pumped. Come over
your house, eat all your food, eat for free. You
need anything? You need me to bring anything?

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Bro? Can you bring think some Uh? You can bring
some high noons maybe?

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Or when I asked, I'm hoping here, No, I'm good, No,
I got everything.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
But if you want to bring some high noons because
uh you see uh that the Coplay concert cheating girl
said she had won too many high nuons?

Speaker 1 (38:15):
No is that she's blaming it on the alcohol.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
And uh, I think Portnoy was like, what an endorsement
for his high news?

Speaker 1 (38:21):
So makes you a cheat on your husband? News makes
you a cheat?

Speaker 5 (38:27):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (38:27):
So tonight I think I know what I'm going to
bet on and I know there's a clip you want
to play. Also, there was a funny comment last night
during during a game. But tonight I think the play
is this Cavino round three, four, five, and six. I'm
gonna do twenty bucks a round, I think, and twenty
bucks pays out.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
About two hundred for most of those rounds.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
So Jake Paul, I'm gonna bet twenty bucks on him
just to win, just like walk shop for poppits.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Yeah, I mean hen then hey Andy Ruiz Anthony Joshua out.
It's a matter of how serious he takes it. I
don't see that happening, but anything could happen.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
I'm gonna spread one hundred bucks over five bets.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
I'm gonna doude Anthony Joshua wins by knockout, well not
just knock at, wins in the third, fourth, fifth, or sixth.
And I have twenty buckses on Jake Paul to win,
because if he wins, you mean.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Come on, well, I will say this.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
I don't believe in Jake Paul fixing fights or rigging fights.
I want to make that clear, right, But if there
is any wink wink or understanding, I was telling our
buddy Steve who's in the studio hanging out with us.
Stephen Dale here hanging out with us today. Maybe there's
an understanding that, hey, you know, give the fans one

(39:43):
round to feel each other out, something to cheer about.
So you gotta figure one round it's gonna last, at
least one round. I think A's gonna knock him out
either in the second or third round. I think that's
a pretty safe better.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
Our buddy that lives in New York, we call him
Handsome Gabe. Yes, he's handsome, and his name as Gay. Yeah,
our buddy, Cape says, Anthony Joshua might like a like
a wild animal to jungle, you know how, like a
lion or someone will play with their food a little
bit before they eat it.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
Toy with him.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
Yeah, yeah, like he might Anthony Joshua about essentially play
with his food a little bit and be like, all right,
let me f with this guy for a couple of
rounds and then just I.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Agree, but you can't do that too long. Like Jake
Paul is still a big dude with a powerful punch.
So they are shorter rounds, right, shorter rounds. Jake Paul
Six's one AJ sixty six. AJ's a great, great fighter,
so he should have his day with him. He's already
planning for a Tyson Fury fight. He's looking ahead. Anything

(40:40):
could happen because it's boxing, But I think he's gonna
be an exciting one. Guys, and again, if you want
to hear more about it, Covino and Rich FSR on YouTube.
Oh that promised episode one twenty.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
Two embarrassing in your mind, if Anthony Joshua doesn't knock
him out, I.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Think he has to knock him out. I think you
will knock him out.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
I do.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
I think he'll knock him out.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
Well, we have more CNR next right here. A Fox
