There's M and M one or twopoint seven kids. F M. This
is just a great story. It'sjust one of those things that will make
you feel better today. I thinkhis name is Alex Para. He goes
goes by Alex one leg on TikTokthat's right, and call out, how
did you did you find him?Did you see him on TikTok? Yeah,
he just showed up on my foryou page and it was like originally

(00:21):
because he does a lot of becausehe has a prosthetic, so I saw
some of those and then I sawthis cancer bucket list thing and you're gonna
love his energy. He's like,it's like an infectious energy. He's the
sweetest Okay, let's bring him inhere, Alex Para. So his story
goes he was always athletic, andhe was diagnosed with stage two bone cancer
in high school and his right leghad to be amputated. When he was

(00:44):
sixteen years old, the cancer cameback in the form of stage four lung
cancer and Alex, at that pointthey told you had three months to live.
Correct. Yeah, it's been astill long short of journey that I've
had for the past couple of years. And how can you tell us when
you hear that, like what happensyour whole world honestly just sort of stops.

(01:07):
Like I mean, especially at fifteenwhen I had cancer for the first
time, I honestly didn't want cancer, you know, I kind of wanted
a normal life. And then Ibeat that for the first time, and
then I kind of had this mindset. I'm like, Okay, I'm never
gonna have cancer again and never todeal with that. And then fast forward
a year and a half later andthen I told I have stage four lung
cancer in three months up to livein a ten percent chance and I'm terminal.
So it's just like, what amI supposed to do if that is

(01:30):
bro Like, I'm ready to docollege and have this new life. And
then it was just a new lifein the hospital again. So it was
just a really scary moment, butyou kind of just do your best to
keep your headup through it all andyou beat it. Yeah, I'm officially
cancer free as of January eleventh.Yeah, and what's so cool is that

(01:51):
you started crossing off things on yourbucket list? Right when did you start
doing some of these things? Yeah, so I know when you told you
have three months lf to live. You kind of you know, like what
would you do if you told you'regoing to die soon? Like you kind
of want to do all these thingsthat you want to do lists. I
made this list exactly, and Imade this list of things that I knew

(02:15):
I was never going to be ableto accomplish because I was going to be
passing away soon. So I madethis list of all these things that I,
like, you know, that Iwould dream of and I would just
imagine being there. So I hadthis huge cancer scare in twenty twenty three,
like for the third time, Ithought it was going to happen,
and I'm like, oh my gosh, Like what am I waiting for?
Like why am I waiting to crossthings off my cancer bucket list? I
told myself I was going to accomplish, or you know, I wish I

(02:37):
was going to accomplish when I wasdying, Like what am I waiting for?
Am My waiting to start dying againto do all these things that I've
dreamed of? Like why am Iwaiting for that at my door? Like?
Why not do it now? SoI started doing sorry with the prosthetic
leg. You started like doing coolstuff, right, like I was reading
he are you hammicked in like Tahoe? Yeah, Hamilton Tahoe went to point

(02:58):
raise went to aquer just like eitherwith real small stuff, big stuff,
it wouldn't matter. It would justbe things that I would want to do
out of the hospital, because that'sall you would be cooped up in,
you know, whether it's on yourmeto therapy or chemo, like, that's
all you would be. You wouldjust be in the hospitals. Like,
I just want to do something outof here. And I remember writing all
these things down, this list andstuff. So I've been doing all the

(03:20):
driven stuff ever since Yosemite. Abig outdoors guy. So and you ran
the San Francisco Marathon on crutches,Yeah, tell me about that. Yeah.
So I wanted to bring awareness tohow much prosthetics cost, because the
prosthetic leg that I have is onehundred and twenty thousand dollars without insurance.
So I wanted to bring awareness tohow much we had to pay as a

(03:40):
as a community. And I wantedto attempt the sandwichis Skoo Marathon on crutches
and I only trained for five days, which isn't that much. Yeah,
because I decided to do the marathonabout a month before, and then I
injured my hands because you never realizedhow much you use your hands on crutches
and it's amazing exactly. And Ionly made it sixteen miles, which took

(04:00):
me like nine hours. I'd sayit was a good attempt. Wow that
dude, what a great story thisis. Like your energy is so good
too. If you want to checkhim out, look him up on TikTok
and Instagram, alex one leg Atalex one Legs what he goes by And
thank you for inspiring. Thank youfor your your positive attitude and sharing all

(04:21):
that bro continued happiness. Oh,thank you so much. I appreciate that
so much. Thank you. Niceto meet you. By you. I
mean, there is that song livelike you were dying Tim mcrow saying,
and you start listening to that andyou start going, yeah, you know
what, why put stuff off?I mean, think about saying today I've
been putting off and get it done. Changes when you have to deal with

(04:45):
something like that in a flash.Yeah, in a flash. Well,
thank you call that for finding himand passing him along. That he's just
I get it. He's just awesome. Yeah, he's a sweetie. See
I would not say that myself, but it sounds exactly right. I would
not hang up with Alex and gohe's a sweetie. But you're right,
he is a sweetie. It's naturaland it sounds right coming from you,

(05:11):
not me. But yes, he'sa sweetie. That's what he is working
in. Work it in all right. Coming back here with Ushers, Lovers
and Friends. Tour tickets next inVegas.
