really cool is that you can honein on some very simple, attainable common
denominators to think about now and there'sa blue zone here in southern California's right,

me, you channel brilliant no listencisity, and I stumbled upon this as

on Netflix and I watched the wholeseries in one sitting. Are what are

it might be. You know,there's so much money and efforts spent on
these longevity hacks and remdesert beer andstem cells and so forth, and none
of those show any real promise ofworking in humans yet. And here's here's
a set of lessons that we knowhave produced human humans in four different continents

living into their nineties and even hundredswithout chronic disease. So why not just
take what works rather than what's experimentaland hot, and you know, put
it, put it to work inyour life. What did you find as
those common denominators that we can alluse, Well, the first one,
if you look at all five Bluezones and what they've eaten over the past

hundred years, they're eating pests andfood, basically whole plant based food.
The pillars of every longevity diet inthe world are whole grains, whatever happens
to be growing in your garden,or you know, vegetables, tumors like
sweet potatoes. Snacking on nuts workedabout two years of life expectancy, and
a cup of beans at day probablyworth four extra years of life expected over

eating unhealthier sources of protein. Theother thing that, and we have a
blue zone here in South in California. And yeah, there's a real sense
of community. They're right, right, Lola Lomlindi. So the lessons they
give us, I mean Loland theSeventh day Adventists, but the lessons are

clear. They're mostly you know,eat vegetarian, but they have very strong
social circles. They take one daya week where they down shift. That
it's their sabbath, but you know, for other religions it's you know,
Sunday church or or going to themoss. But how important and those rituals
of downshifting ore. And then Ithink it's just really important to surround yourself

with the right people. We knowthat if our three best friends are unhealthy
and obese, there's one hundred andfifty percent better chance we'll be overweight ourselves.
Smoking is contagious, alcohol abuse,etc. So in the Adventures,
teach us to surround ourselves with peoplewho are healthy and will become healthy ourselves

that looked at all sports, running, bicycling, even golf, but rack
sports. People play racket sports tendto have the highest life expectancy and that
may be because of its range ofmotion and maybe because you know, you're

of it. And by the way, it's probably not just tennis. I
would put pick a ball on thesame count. Yes, that's where you'll
find me most days at about thistime on the pick a ball court.

two extra years of life expectancy.So given the bonus years I should get
for living another thirty years, Ishould make it to one hundred hundred.

Even that I'm down, I'm downto live that long too. So this
