(00:00):
One or two point seven. Itis kiss FM. Ryan Seacrest with you,
(00:05):
Sissony, Tanya, and Olivia Rodrigojoining us. Wow, Olivia,
it's good to hear from you again. Hey, great to hear from you.
It's been a while. Well,it's funny the way the world works,
right, Because I was over thelast couple of days on my feed,
I just you know, news storiesare curated, and I kept like,
(00:25):
an article about you came out andI read it, Michael, that's
interesting. And then another one cameout about you. That's interesting, and
then I read there's two things thathappened. I don't know if it happens
to you, but when I readthat you like Macha, I'm like,
oh, we can relate to that. Do you make it with like a
milk or water? I both?I nick like a little latte thing.
(00:48):
I've just learned how to make itat home. It's like my pride and
enjoy. I do it every morning. It's my little routine. I actually
used pistachio milk too, which isvery like la girl of me. But
would recommend if you're wait, doyou do you have a little thing that
plugs into the wall that spins it. No, I do it by hand.
If I was more professional, Iwould get that. Well, you
know, I'm running a coffee shop, so yeah, on all your spare
(01:11):
time. The other thing is AndI was so surprised, but Sisney loves
it. It said in the articlethat I read about Olivia Rodrigo about you
that you will before you go tosleep, you'll listen to true crime podcasts.
Oh my gosh. I mean whenI'm being really bad. I love
true crime. I think they're sofascinating, but it's a bit like junk
(01:32):
food for the brain, and Iget so anxious. I always think,
I like, see someone in theshadow. I don't know why it can
do it. I'm with you,Olivia. I was like, that's my
girl. I like, I'm thesame. I love watching true true crime
anything. But then when he saidthat you do it with podcasts, I
was like, that's actually genius becausewhen I watched TV, it actually wires
me more and then I can't fallasleep. But I feel like a podcast
(01:53):
is more like a bedtime story. It just put me right to sat away.
Anyway, even if it's the scariestthing I'm I'll listen to it.
Like if I'm like cleaning my houselike before I go to sleep. But
my best friend Irish will literally likeput the put the podcast on and put
the under her pillow and like fallasleep listening to it. I'm like,
how do you do that and nothave the worst dreams? Like I would
(02:14):
just have nightmare very night? Butshe does it. I guess we're talking
to Olivia Rodrigo here. I guessthere's telling I'm scared of the like nest
Cam commercial that catches the guy atthe front door and says like that scares
me, you know, But butit says that the clown is there something
called the clown? The clown andthe candy man. Have you heard of
that one say, isn't he No? I guess it's a popular I guess
(02:38):
a true crime popular podcast. Olivia. We have got to take a break
and come back and get to thereal moment here. Vampire is out.
New music is coming in September,so much excitement. Can you hang tip
for one second? Yeah? Yeah, we're coming back with Olivia Rodrigo.
Kiss a fan that is Vampire OliviaRodrigo, And here she is. It's
(03:01):
out. It's off the new album. So when you hear it, like
when you hear it now it's beenwith you for a long time. When
you hear it, what do youfeel all of you? Yeah, I
mean it truly takes on a totallydifferent life. I feel like I've obviously
listened to it so much before itcame out and spent a long time producing
it. But yeah, it soundstotally different to me, like hearing it
(03:21):
through other people's ears. It's reallyfunny. Yeah, but I'm super proud
of it, and I'm really excitedthat people are, you know, saying
such nice things as it means alot, and you look at the success
of it, which is great, and people not just sitting right here,
but really all over the world aretalking about it, which must make you
feel great because it's so personal foryou. Yeah, it's a very interesting
(03:45):
thing. I feel like I writesongs that are, you know, kind
of like my diary, and thento see them out in the world affecting
people that you know in places I'venever been to before, It's it's really
surreal. I'm a very lucky girl. I have a very crazy job.
Well, and when you listen tothe lyrics of the song, it's like
I guess what's the best way toplay. It's like things we have some
(04:08):
of us have thought before but can'tarticulate it or articulated in the combination of
words that you put into these lyricsbrilliantly. Thank you. That means a
lot. I mean that's the goal. I just I think I just try
to write songs to understand my ownfeelings in them. If they can help
other people do the same, Ithink that's that's the dreamy Toney. When
(04:31):
you heard it first, what doyou think about It's interesting you say that
because I have felt all those feelingstoo, Like all these lyrics in the
song Vampire, I have felt them, but I've never connected them to a
vampire. And it's so interesting howyou do that, because it's true.
It's like think your teeth. Yeah, they're like they think their teeth in
you and you feel like they're justlike sucking the life out of you.
(04:51):
And I'm like, oh my gosh, I've never thought of the connection between
like that and a vampire. SoI thought it was very very interesting.
Thanks appreciate it, Olivia. Whenyou we only know that song, but
when you think about the album that'scoming out, September eighth. It's called
Guts. What can you share withus about it? Now? Yeah,
(05:15):
I mean I think it's definitely alot more mature than my last album was.
I think it's a little more fun. I'm overall probably a happier girl
than I was back then, andthis I think it's a little like Tongue
in Chicken, just a little alittle more fun. I think people are
gonna have some songs that they liketo like, dance too, and like,
(05:39):
you know, move to. Ithink the concert's gonna be really fun.
So it says September eighth, butyou're here to tell us you're gonna
play it all for us? Now? Oh my god? Yeah, exclusive,
let's go. Yeah, I guessthat's the thing you've got. You
know, the the album comes out, people get to know it, and
then you get to go perform itand really show people and we live and
(06:03):
have them connect, you know, with Vampire. I'm gonna imagine when you're
up on stage singing that song,You're gonna see people emotional, don't you
think. Yeah? I hope so, I mean, yeah, that's kind
of the coolest thing. That wasone of the coolest things about my last
tour. I feel like there werecertain songs that I played and I'd look
out to the audience and girls andboys of all ages, I just do
(06:25):
them like crying, and I'm like, that's the coolest thing that can just
all in this moment right here andmovie with such a such a huge way.
That's like my favorite part about livemusic. So hopefully that that happens
this next door. Well, congratulations, thanks for coming back, Thank you
for chatting with us. Vampire's out, album's coming, and when the album
comes out, come back. We'dlove to see you again. I would
(06:46):

own. Olivia Rodrigo, no localgirl. That's fun for me to think
