Oh yeah, absolutely.

I just want to make more success now and We've
got a lot more music coming out.

And I've just broken my leg, so it's a bit harder.

But how did you break your leg? Was it during
your show?
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I was at Tomorrowland and I didn't get to actually
play it Tomorrowland because the day before I was going
with a friend next guy. I was walking to the
stage and then there was like a hill and I
tried to take a talk up to.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
The stage so beat the crowd.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
Turns out there was a reason the crowd won't because
and I shout up my leg four places and you can
show you it's.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Oh and so you you went over there to play
the music festival, but you couldn't play the music festival
because you broke your league at the music festival.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
That's all right, you know, I've got a studio and
so it's really fun. Yeah, that's been good.

You're probably the most casual dude. I think.

Maybe Amsterdam's rubbing off on you.

Now obviously you've teamed up with Dean Lewis to perform
a song.

Now can I apologize because for years we've seen Crowded
House or a New Zealand band and you know Neil
finn As, you know, the front man for Crowded House.
But there's two OSI's one key. I don't know why
we've claimed this as being a New Zealand band formed
in Melbourne.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
I honestly think we're all friends, you know, like, yeah,
that was formed in But then you know, I think
it's a It's just a really good band made from
two of the best countries in the world.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, okay, wait to look at it, that's not the
way we've been looking at it. Did you have to
ask the band's permission? And what do they think of
your version?
Speaker 2 (02:06):
I don't actually know. Obviously I ask permission and stuff.

They're happy with the version, and but I haven't actually
talked to the band at all, so see what they
actually think of the version.

What would you say if we had the Finns here
right now, I'd be like, no, like, yeah, you'd be
right right, yeah, right, we could have a better radio show,
would organize that, right, did you?
Speaker 3 (02:28):
To be honest, I didn't think of it last night,
and I was like, oh, we'd never get it. I mean,
we've had neilfin Motts maybe in our twenty years, so
you know, he's like New zeal with music Royalty.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
But hey, next time, all right, we'll line that up.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
You spent a lot of time in the Northern Territory
and Darwin and stuff like that, you know, and you
worked on You're like farms and stuff as well, and
then kind of wanted to give music another crack.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
It must be kind of good to know it's kind
of worked out.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Yeah, And you know, there was a long time when
I was broken stuff as well, Like even when man
miss first child, I was like stress and I was like,
what are we going to do?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Covering rent and stuff?

You know, So looking back now, It's like the biggest
blessing of my life, Like just amazing to be able
to support my family. And you know, if anyone needs
told me in the family or friends and stuff, I'm.

I imagine when you're like, I'm gonna pursue my career
as a d J might have been a bit of
a hard sell for the family, was it. Mate.

I was in Uni startying to be a music teacher,
and I remember distinctively that I went up to darn
One because my favorite uncle lived up there.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
He was a huge inspiration when I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
He went into an army and he was an actor
for a bit, you know. So two years into my
UNI I was like, hey, uncle Scott, I'm quitting Uni.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yahs, why I'm going back to djail.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
He no, not idiot, I don't know I am or
are not gods and I we're gonna make it. And now, yeah,
I think he's happy.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Now. I thought I thought you were going to be
like I thought there's gonna be a real inspirational story
where he was like, you go and.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Chase your dreams.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
None of my family said that.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
So now we've got a bit of a treat for
you has been mentioned for whatever reason. For decades we've
believed Crowded House or a New Zealand band that Australia
stole off us. So we thought only fair that we're
still in the Australian classic and we remix it.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, but we've made a version, a new version for
us of the Home and Away think tune with some
Alf Stewart, but's in between.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
All right, Now you've listen to me, and.
