are you hey?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good things? How are you all that Jaers?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
You need to read a book, release a book called
all That Jazz? Oh.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I sure they can be booked.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
One before, done a couple of books. Right now. You
got to write another one for John O and his
pun name. Just write a book for me, just as
story out three. But anyway, I'll do another one for you.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Now.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
We managed to catch up with you.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
It's probably a week and a half ago and you
were just about to head off to New York. Incredible
thing you got to be part of.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
You can explain it.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yeah, So I was part of the case Bade New
York Global Mental Health Summit they do every year, usually
alongside the UN but this time they did it with
Fashion Week. Ended up speaking alongside some insane people. I'm
not sure how I ended up on that stage, but
was very thankful to be there.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
You're very mid as we know how because you do wonderful,
wonderful things for mental health around the world and particularly
in New Zealand. But we were a bit nervous because
you were speaking in front of this huge audience in
New York. But you were coming, You're going to talking
after someone pretty pretty famous as well.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yes, yeah, I found out about a week beforehand that
I was speaking directly after Simone Vials. Oh what, I
don't know how you follow Simone Vile.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
You come on with a big blackflip, you do a
double backflip.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, I can do the worm through me. Even more
is after she spoke, I went backstage to get my
mic on, and then she just looks at me and
she's like, oh my god, I've seen you like all
over my TikTok. I love you. And then I just
froze and was like, how do I go on stage?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That's the goat? What what do you say to that?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
When Simone biles like that?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
So do some name dropping though? Who else was there
with you?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Henson? She was just at a premiere with I think
she's just in a movie with Kevin Hart. So she
came straight from me. She's I'm with her for the
last few years. Cynthia Goma, who's Lady Gaga's mom, was there.
Sophia Wiley, who you guys might not know because she's
on there. She's a current like Disney Channel.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Kid, excuse me, why would we not know current Disney
Channel kids.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Probably your hairlines.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
And all that jairs. I'll read that and I'll remember
this funny moment.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
So the talk that you did, how did it go?
You know, a bigger audience after someone bars.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
It was I got a standing ovation. Wow, it was
really cool.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
And something else I thought was really awesome Rachel Platton,
who sings the amazing song The Fight. So now, this
song was very special to you, helped you out through
your life and you got to meet Rachel Platton through
social media.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, We've been talking for like a year and a
half and I like fangels so hard when she saw
it in play dms and then we finally got to
meet and she like invited us to a that she
was doing that night, and then she dedicated Fight song
to me, and I just like sobbed, Oh, sobbed.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
It is and it's inspiring song. The lyrics are awesome
about you know, keep fighting. You know, it was incredible
to know that you've had that song and it's been
a song you've used to get through some pretty tough times,
and then to meet the person who sung that song,
it must be just an incredible moment.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
It really like honestly took the breath out of me.
Like it was the song I would blast when I
was in the intensive care, you know, of the psych word,
Like it was the thing that I really held on too.
And to be like even to be in New York
in September, which is suicide prevention months, and for me
to be speaking at this event while she's there releasing
a new album, like, it just felt like worlds collided

(03:42):
in the most crazy way. And Little Jazz would have
never believed that that would even be possible. So yeah, wow,
I still can't really comprehend it.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Yeah, and I behave It would have been a special
moment for Rachel too, I imagine for her to know
that her music had such an effect.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yes, she brought her eyes out as well. We ended
up seeing the whole day together and she cried multiple
times and just realized the impact that she had made
because I guess you don't really see it a lot,
right like in person. You hear it so much online,
but for her to actually see someone who is alive
because of the music she created was pretty special.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
So what a great what a great story. Yes, well
let's be abid, let you go, You've got some writing
to do for all that is, you go and hit
those and hit the keyboard.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Channel one. I met someone Biles back, so you carry
on from there. Oh no, We're so proud of you.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Ye's such a wonderful ambassador for this country and everything
you've done and you know, sharing your story and saving
so many lives and doing so
