Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the podcast for a Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
As we're in the middle of our never have You
Ever tore thanks to guest picture of service stations hitting
around the country doing things we've never done for the
first time and also helping people achieve their nevers.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Tell you what I've never done is break a fan,
which we have in the Wellington studio, and one of
the first things I did this morning was.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Not touching it, knock this.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Fan over, this goldier fan in the casing, fell off
it and it's been probably a good part of an
hour and a half reassembling it.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
The radio show was terrible, but you've got the fan
base together. Never ever repeated fan You've done that today?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Have you ever recorded a couple in an elevator before?

Speaker 5 (00:37):
Did that?

Speaker 6 (00:39):
He recorded them, he didn't play He chose not to
play it on the radio, but we.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Did hear about the couple's conversations.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
I've deleted it. Yeah, I was secretly recording this couple
who were bickering, and I felt dirty afterwards. You feel like, oh,
that was low It was sort of gutter Jerry Springer
sort of stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:00):
Yeah, so at least you had the realization at some
point you know it might have been after you did it,
but okay.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I'll tell the story about them. So anyway, I've got recording.
But anyway, I want the conversation, but.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
I won't play it. I have morals.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
We'll kick the podcast off of that.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Here we go, as well as plenty of amazing things
we've got to do over the last twenty four hours
on I Never Have You Ever tour, including a Megan
almost eating an oyster and helicopter ride as well.

Speaker 7 (01:35):
Enjoy the hits that jonaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
The actual Throne from Game of Thrones to sold it
an auction for over two million New Zealand dolls. Yeah
for the actual iron throne that everyone was fighting.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Over in the series.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
So I guess if you if you love the show, yeah,
well it's as I.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Just really love the show. I found myself in a
bit of an awkward environment today. We're saying at the
motel where we were in Wellington and waiting for the
Left and there was a wonderful couple, O very friendly
European couple. Had quick ship with them, leave it leaving
my hotel room and they were at the top of
Left and they got into a marital discussion.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
She's like, you need to be more aware of your health.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
She throws the health bomb out to him, and he's like,
I am or in my health and she's like, when
was the last time you went to the Gym's I've
got I go to the gym once or twice and
she's like, once or twice. When he came back with
once or twice this year and she's like, you need
to do some cardio, and he came up with quite
a brave volley on this one.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
He was like, do you even know what cardio is?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I thought, And you're still there as we're waiting for
the left to come and it couldn't come quick.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Enough for me. But then.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You were there. They talked to you so.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Openly, just yeah, and I was kind of I kind
of backed off, to be honest. You know what I
really did. I tried to start recording them, and I've
got audio of them. But then I'm like, I don't
play that.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It's it's guttered, journalism's GUTSM low brow.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
I've decided I've made the morral move not to play.
So it found a little voyeuristic. But anyway, I end
up in the lift with them going down.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Now, are you still recording?

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yeah, but I'm not playing it, so it doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Well, yeah, still recording. I'm glad you're not playing. I'm not.
I wouldn't been that keen to play it, so that's
not good.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Even I listened to it this morning in the hotel.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
I was like, oh, this sounds wrong. You know, when
you hear audio, you shouldn't have done that. But anyway,
so I'm sucking the lip with them. It's so desperate content.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Maybe it's everywhere. Uh, And they're still kicking off in
the lift about and do you know what he does?
The monster drags me into it. He's like, you, what
do you think? How how am I looking to you?
It's what he said, and she's clearing at me.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
He's not when situation.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
But yeah, I could.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Feel the brother drowning.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
And when the brother's drowning, you got to save them.
And I was like, no, what, I don't think. I
don't think he looks too bad. And then I hear
from her scoff in a deep sigh and the dlyft
doors open, and they continued on bickering as they were walking.
So I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
How it ended up and you had no real comparison
to what he'd look like previously as well, can.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
I see it before?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Like, I mean, what you're like right now?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
But yeah, so if they are listening, can you take something?

Speaker 5 (04:32):
I love some closure? Shut the loop on that conversation listening.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Because I'm like that weird guy on the left.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
I shouldn't get out and follow them, just for the audio.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Just keep recording, going to keep talking about this.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
Stopped recording the hits that johnaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
We're in the middle of our Never Have You Ever tour?
Yesterday we started in christ Church. We made our way
to Wellington. I feel like, I guess I've been watching
a lot of Present Break with my family over the
last couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
I feel like I'm on the run, stay too long
in a certain place.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
So are you Why are you just getting onto prison
Break now?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
No, I watched it the first time I watched it.
I've been but my daughters, I was telling to me,
they got it. They're loving it.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
I really love watching it with his daughters.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Are they going Why did these idiots keep eating up
back in prison? And they ask you to question they
haven't quite.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Got back to prison the second time. Yeah, so a
lot of episodes. They did five series of that show.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
I know, and then always ended up back in another present.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
That was of the show.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
My theory if I had ever been I've never been
to prison. If you break out once, that's a don't
don't push your luck.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
But they don't let you just stay out, but don't
let you go out. Go We'll good on you. You
got out, try and chase it down for Yeah, they
don't just go do I got out? Like you said,
it's a win for the prison.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So we are traveling around the country, not like prison bak,
but it feels a little bit that way.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Trying to do things that we've never done before. Are
helping you do your neighbors. Yesterday started in christ Church
with you eating an oyster.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Wow, I sped it.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
You're risting an oyster at the bottom of your mouth.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Briefly, Meghan yesterday live on the air.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Can you cut me down?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Three? Two?

Speaker 5 (06:09):
She's sucking on the shell.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Shot down.

Speaker 7 (06:11):
Go on.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
You gotta sut like there, you gotta suck the lin.
You're holding it in your mouth. You're holding your mouth.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
Goat.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
I can see like you can do it.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
I can see you dangle at the bottom of your mouth.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
Just do it.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And so she could do it. Meghan, you still haven't
done an oyster, mate. We're gonna stay here until done.
An oyster.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yes, couldn't do you reckon the oysters telling his friends
his eyes at the bottom of the ocean.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
They pulled me out. I sat at the bottom of
some lady's mouth. She spent me out there. That was
my life cycle.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Yeah, it sat there too long.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Emily, Emily who listens to the show from christ And
she came and she shuddered and winced, and.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Yes, swallowed the oyster. She did it, and then spent
ten minutes sucking on a lemon afterwards.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
So we went from there Lo Lo yesterday until the
High Heights, literally a helicopter ride for Allie, her listener
in christ Church, her first ever helicopter.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
That was a remarkable thing to do on christ Church helicopters.
And I think we've got some of the some of
the start when we're all getting prepared for it.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
So here we are at Cher Helicopters. We just watched
a wonderful safety video with Sir Richie mccaugh. I think
in my heart telling us to basically keep your hands
away from the blades.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
And Ellie, how are you feeling excited?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Very excited?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
First ever helicopter ride you were just telling Megan and
myself has been was relieving himself that you've actually booked
a few times.

Speaker 8 (07:42):
Yes, I've booked a few times before, but they've been
canceled due to weather. Since you've actually got myself on
the actual helicopter.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Where are you going to go?

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Friends, Joseph kind of for that today, mate, just then
and then you found out her name at school was
Eli Copter Allicopter, which worked perfectly well.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
The song anyway, you guys don't know I don't know
the song.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
It's a kids it's a kid show.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Later after seven you will hear how we went on
Ellie's first ever helicopter ride, which is pretty awesome.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
He can get bragging about the fact that she'd been on.

Speaker 6 (08:18):
I said you, I said one time that I've been
on a few so if you wanted the window seat,
I was being nice.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
If you say one time to be in a hill
dragged out three hundred times.

Speaker 7 (08:30):

got anything you haven't done before. For for eight seven
Megan tried to eat an oyster yesterday and also tried
to eat the world's largest nacher pleasure.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
It was enormous.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
I just asked for nacho's at the Musican place. But
then afterwards beIN's like, you know what's called monsternchos.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
The three of us tried to take a lot, still
didn't finish.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
It's a lot of cho It's the size of Mount Victoria.
There's a mound of just mince and nacho.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
That's huge.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Now we are trying to get ten out of ten
in the New Zealand Herald Daily Quiz. It comes up
every day, hence the name the Daily Quiz at the
New Zealand Herald.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Dot cod at the edge and we got we thought
we got it yesterday, all the way to the last question.
If we get a question wrong, we stop.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
When is the pin pulled on the campaign? Then we
get ten out of ten? Oh, well is it?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
I know?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
But then we're riding a high.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
Well, then you want to go again.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
This is gambling yesterday, we've got audio we nearly know
we got to the ninth question.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Ever, listen fifty five PC with it.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
We've got a drug boll lock it dowly BBC.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
That's incorrect.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Old Julius Caesar is assassinated. Fifty five BC will never
forty four BC, we'll never forget that.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Got into today really okay.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
It was a lot of.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Radio time to like Liam, who's pushing the buttons and
Auckland was like, you guys, spend twenty five minutes on that.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
Yeah, that's the dedication.

Speaker 2 (10:02):

off her seat. I was like, oh, the quiz is
coming up. She's the quizmaster.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
I was like yeah, oh, and I get like sort
of motion anyway.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
You don't see Bradley Walt sitting on the sidelines sucking
on a gasper.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Well, they're just filling in time. Walsh isn't ready it?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Question of one, what is the current official cash rate?

Speaker 9 (10:37):
Is it four point seven five, four point two five
or five point two five?

Speaker 5 (10:40):
I think it's four point seven five?

Speaker 4 (10:44):
So Ben and I actually talked to an economist last week.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
We did, no, we did.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
We talked to Yeah Stifney drop low five right, yeah,
so it's on the four point four point It feels
like if it was over five then dropping at four
point two five, it's two bigger drop dropped.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Point five right. I don't know what it dropped too.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
So yeah, five. You seem confident with that.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
I don't know why, but I know.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Five right.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
It's produce Elie.

Speaker 4 (11:13):

Speaker 5 (11:21):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (11:22):
Question number two, what is the capital of Mauritius? Is
it Port Louise or Lewis, Bridgetown or Antonana Rivo?

Speaker 5 (11:32):
I reckon, it's absolutely butchered.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Yesterday we went to it like a text a friend.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
On the On the second question, I feel like for
time purposes, because we spent a lot of time talking
about this, let's go with that now four seven, we're
locking an answer in just the moment. But can we
get ten out of ten? Or where we're going to
fail at.

Speaker 7 (11:48):
Number Two's that jonaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
In the middle of our never Have You Ever tour?

Speaker 2 (11:54):

of ten on the New Zealand Here Daily Quiz. So
we're doing it right now. We're at question number two

Speaker 3 (12:04):
A little bit and we're throwing it out to the people.
Now quiz master Elie, producer Elie. She's coming with the
capital of which country?

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Sorry? Elie Mauritius Mauritius.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
And the three options were as she's down in some
peanut butter, toast Port.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
Louis, Paulawis, Bridge Town or ant Nannaivo.

Speaker 3 (12:22):

texts come through action, Yeah, we we'll call Anna and Harward.

Speaker 1 (12:28):

Speaker 3 (12:31):
A lot of confident texts coming through for question number two?
Can we have a little teas of what's coming up
next to question number three?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
I don't think you go ahead though you can't go.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
They not giving you a little teasers.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
I should make you more excited about to hear.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
That's the mystery of the daily quiz. We don't know
how easy? What are they going to.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
Be testing the limits of our abilities this morning? Am
I going to Hell? I was going to say, Am
I going to regret calling Anna?

Speaker 3 (12:58):
And no?

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Is the answer in hardward?

Speaker 10 (13:00):
What?

Speaker 6 (13:03):

Speaker 3 (13:03):

Speaker 5 (13:36):

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Because I feel he's not He's not stuff in the studio?

Speaker 5 (14:07):
Okay, oh gosh, let's just take a gamble, go back. Okay,
go Bridget locking Bridget.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Okay, that is all right, this is good. So that
was good. That was a good guess.

Speaker 9 (14:23):
Question number four, all right, which actress voice Princess Peach
and the Super Mario Bros.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Movie?

Speaker 7 (14:28):

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Anya Taylor Joy, Kristen Bell or emm A Stone.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
I thought I knew, but I didn't.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
I was like a Stone. Christ Christon Bell was frozen.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, she was frozen.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
Yeah, that's trying to throw you off the sin yeah, Stone.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
And what was the first option on your Taylor Joy?
She was in furioso with Yeah, you know if you
see her Okay, Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Okay, Emma Stone, Okay, beneath the Stone's ability. But anyway,
that's incouraged.

Speaker 7 (15:04):

That Joan Ben podcast what she's the soundtrack to My
Household at the moment, it's got some bingers.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
She's done a great job. Sabrina Carventer.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
That's great. We're finally playing Sabrina.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Guys, I'm trying to get down and Olivia.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah, that one. I gave up on that one, but
I tried very hard for you.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Proud of you are you're supporting some women in music,
the great great need your help.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
But one was a good man, the supporting into talking
about a couple of lands playing musicasis. Of course they're
back together, the Gallagher Brothers, and they're playing the next year,
sold out concerts aroun in Europe and coming to this
part of the world again, not coming to New Zealand.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
What's happening here?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
This feels like it's becoming a thing where the world's
biggest artist they just go, we'll stop at Australia things.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
You're not good enough for us.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah, and I feel like we don't need to be
probably on the list of I know, but we give
them a good time.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
We asked them how they enjoy New Zealand.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
We're expensive to fly that little bit extra and.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
To set up everything in your eye, I get it.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
So that really puts out, That puts us in the
pecking order, doesn't it.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Tickets went on sale yesterday. Lots of people are trying
from New Zealand to go over and see them. Three
hundred dollars seems about things to be around about the
standard GA ticket for.

Speaker 5 (16:37):
Us running the surging system.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Yeah, it seems to be a little bit of surging
going on as well, but some people getting some cheaper
ones if you can. Yeah, throughout the surging. About three
hundred dollars seems to be now is what you pay
for gas lord.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
That's a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Bungers, Now, that's that's kind of standard, although they were.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
The good thing is in Victoria they've caught it like
an event of major interest or something like that, so
it's protected and the anti scalping law so no one
can scalp the tickets afterwards. So whatever you pay for it,
you can't put a price on selling it for more,
which is actually quite handy.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Well, it's the most Okay, you pick an artist, the
most you'd pay to see someone out of anyone in
the history of OEZ Okay, least go I'm going to
say Michael Jackson, right, if you could bring Michael Jackson back.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
I saw him when I was a young kid. I
saw him. Yeah, it was it was great.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
How much would you pay to see Michael Jackson?

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Now?

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (17:28):
So they can be dead in this year, So.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
The artist would pay the most amount of money to
see and then you've got to name that figure.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
I'd go Michael Jackson for you.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Yeah, probably I probably would. Yeah, i'd probably go Michael Jason.
I'd probably pay for a standing GA one thousand three
and fifty dollars.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
And now, knowing that you're never going to see him
again too, you probably end up paying more to be
surging like anything.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
This doesn't event major signal, No skelpeing, okay, yes, scalping, Yeah,
one thousand three and fife.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
How about you?

Speaker 6 (18:05):
I think i'd off the top of my head, I
think I'll go with Queen. Oh yeah, yeah, see Freddy
Mercury and you pay what r r P.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
I don't have any money right now. I would pay yeah,
about two grand I regret to see Freddy, you know who?

Speaker 3 (18:22):
I saw Queen with the wonderful Adam Lambert up front,
and he was magnificent, like he doesn't try and outshine
Freddy does his own thing. And Ellie particular early huge
Queen fan of grees. So if you do get the
chance to see Queen, still a great shot. Yeah, how
about you been? I don't know why Bob Marley pop money.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah, it would be good. I don't know why. I
just any dread locked here, might sick here and smoke.
I'll be la enjoying.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
How much would I would pay?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I'd pay a couple of grand to see I feel
like it'd be a fun time to see Bob Marley.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Do you know he went to a Rastafarian concert up
north and he was stage and there were people smoking
the Devil's let us and they handed one to Ben
and he said.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
No, I'm fine in front of the band.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
It was one of the least seconds of the band,
which I huge fan of, and I was I just
kind of went but I'm cool like this.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
But it was a very public environment. I think you, yeah,
what din't we get up to yesterday? I Never have
You ever tour included things like.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Helicopters and what a relaxing activity I've never done in
christ Jitch before.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
That was actually awesome. We'll tell you about it before
seven o'clock on that.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
The it's the Johonaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
On I Never Have You Ever tour? Heading around the country.
If there's things you've never done before? Four four eight
seven On the text, it's all thanks to gas, petrol
service stations, instant discounts, loyalty programs to get fuel discounts
every week. And thank you for supporting us on this
tour around the country.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
It's been fun so far. Day two though, don't get
away on yourself crying. It can all be downhill from here,
but you stay with a funday in christ Church's knocking
off some Never have.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
You ever on a helicopter ride, which you'll hear very
shortly with Eli. He had never been on one.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yeah, our producer Ali had never had Dmitriy Suberlaki iconic
food that you have there, so we had that as well,
and none of us had ever been punting on the
avon we drove past it. It looked gorgeous along there,
so we thought we'd stop and.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Have a little ride.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yeah now, but like you said, it was the most
relaxing thing I've ever done, Ben, And I've never seen
Ben lying horizontal?

Speaker 5 (20:24):
Have you mean?

Speaker 4 (20:25):
No up and down? Garage are even man spread?

Speaker 2 (20:30):
The sts go of lent themselves that way, So I
saw sat back. It was that was the only real
option always and knees, but it was lovely. Were relaxing
along along the water.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
I think that's what they wrote the song Gently down
the Stream purely for punting, and Shane was our wonderful
punting captain.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Yeah, sure, why not listen Shane, this is I never
have you ever taught, and we're about to do I'm
going to stand up now. I'm going to stand up
because I listened to the safety briefing and I'm not
going to stand up.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Is going to be punting for the first time. Thank
you for taking us out on a punt.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Hey guys, not a problem, absolute pleasure and yeah, welcome
christ Ish, but to beautiful day for its so great
having you guys aboard.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Quick question on the safety briefing. You had to stipulate
no fighting on the boats. Has it happened previously?

Speaker 6 (21:18):
Ah?

Speaker 5 (21:20):
Yeah, you know you get some interesting couples every now
and then. You know, one couple might come back one
person short. But you know we try to void as
much as possible, don't we.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
So yeah, well, I've got the front seat at the moment.
It is lovely. I feel like you could lie down
and have a sleep.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Yeah, totally, one hundred percent.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
I mean, I mean a lot of people do fall
to sleep on our punt rise, which is really cool. Now,
Meghan's demanding duckling viewing.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
I mean I was promised ducklings and I haven't.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
Seen any yet, just saying and Meghan, what can you
see now?

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Ducklings?

Speaker 7 (21:53):
How many?

Speaker 6 (21:54):
Oh my god, so.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Cute?

Speaker 6 (21:57):
Are you? A few of those are gonna survive because
the heels eat them, really shane.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
To the heels eat them.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
I can't lying so grizzly ending for this, like a
little chicken nugget for the eels.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Yeah, so that was yesterday, punting on the oven for
the first time. So four four eight seven is something
you haven't done. We're headed to Wellington to win Wellington today.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
Are we going to do?

Speaker 3 (22:22):
We're going yeah, okay, we're going to call someone right
now who did message. They've never done an iconic thing.
Lisa is her name.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Now you'd imagine most Wellingtonians would have part taken in this,
you think.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
So very iconic thing in Wellington, and so we thought,
while we're here, this's sef Lisa as keen to take
part in it.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
No jokes, that's for real, that's absolutely.

Speaker 5 (22:49):
No low brow jokes.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
She's going to pack up though early in the morning.

Speaker 8 (22:54):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Morning. It's John Meighan from the hats morning, Good morning.
How are you, Lisa?

Speaker 5 (23:03):
What are your plans today? I don't care.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Don't tell me cancel them because we've created some new ones. Okay,
listen to this to.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Be No, you're cruising on the inter Islander today. The
key are you okay? You where? Okay? You've never been
on the inter Islander, fairry.

Speaker 11 (23:23):
We thought today we can south Wellington as south as.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Like you.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Island.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
Okay, yeah, well today red.

Speaker 11 (23:31):
Rocks actually red Rocks will be the closest to the
South Island.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I've got them.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Well, Lisa, pack your bags. You're going to be feeling fine.
There's so many things to see and do. We are
taking you to the South Island today.

Speaker 11 (23:46):
Yeah, you're lucky.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
I don't network, Lisa.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
If you want to, you could go on the inter
Island fairy. Thanks for the legionds at the inter Island.
Do they want to hook you up for that?

Speaker 11 (23:57):
Awesome?

Speaker 8 (23:57):
That's Cole.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Thank you well this morning, so we'll talk to you
before nine o'clock as well.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Do we come down and waiver off like the titan
It won't be like the Titanic.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
You pull your hand downtil they took the horn.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
We'll find out enjoy that.

Speaker 7 (24:11):
Yes, thank you the hits that Joan ben podcast up.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Four nil in the America's Cup. So it's looking pretty good.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
I think that's halfway to taking the old mugat for
another to win eight and a raven.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
It's around but halfway, so just over halfway.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Yeah, she's whitewash and they're taking on the British people.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Don't say that. Remember that time right when we.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Just need to do with last tuning up with his
guitar play celebrations, so it was going to be loyal
yea god like not today, Dave.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
We're back the next day, only Dave Dobbin waits in
a marquee just waiting for their day.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
They celebration, so.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Hopefully they pull the way back from five nil.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah it was. It was all the way back. Yeah,
it wasn't sex because whatever it was it was. Yeah,
Jimmy Spittle came back and it was anywhere.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
That's not why until that would have been one of
the greatest comebacks in sporting in history.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
It's not going to happen this.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
We weren't appreciating that at the time.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
We were we just need to win one more race
and then sorry, and we're not talking about me, because
remember we were winning that race and they caught it
off for lack of wind.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
And then when we were we were in the late
sorry guys. And then so yeah, it just started tuned
ready to go. I just quickly.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I know a lot of people were like relieved to
have the kids back at school, you know, after two
weeks of school holidays. But I think it worked out
my kids as well. Generally, you know, great kids, but
they have the in the car trips after a long time.
It's one of those situations you've had enough.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
You get it. I get over it. They get over it.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
And the middle part of the back seat between two
sibling kids, it's just like it. It's like there's a
lot of wars going around the world, but that's.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
This is a rush or a Ukraine of your car.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
That's is prime real estate, right and I remember.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Or even just yeah, the folded out of great but
even just the middle part, if you want to put
your elbow on it, you want to put your bag
on it's like someone's over my spot.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
I did it to my sister. Then sister, you just
kind of lean over, you take a little bit more
of that sort of real estate.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
I grew up as an only child, so I couldn't
bicker with anyone who, like you said, to yell at
myself in public, and it was a bit unsettling for
my parents. But what I have learned having two kids
is the dynamics of siblings is it's the oldest one
and the older one's duty to just constantly antagonize the
younger one.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
Do you find that?

Speaker 11 (26:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I didn't found that when I was because I was
the oldest. With my sister's you know, particularly my one
sister there, I would kind of wind up.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
It was close to age to me even okay, stop now,
and they see that as a sign to go harder.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, double down, stay out of my room with a
stam room. But I don't just put my arm And
I'd stand in the hallway and I put my arm
into the room and geez, it would wind her up.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
And then of course you're a big brother, and it
makes so much sense.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
In the hall then I just put the arm backer.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Do you bully your brother?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I'm the baby?

Speaker 5 (27:10):
Oh you're the baby?

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Would you get Does that make sense now?

Speaker 6 (27:12):
Because like my role was just to like play my
parents off and get whatever I wanted, because my brother
would always be like, I didn't get I was able.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
To do that.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Yeah, and there's always a bit of a bit of
a staying in the older ones aura because they feel
like they've paved the way, they've done hard. What you're
allowed to do now, the benefits you're allowed to enjoy
changes with.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Kid number two, whatever three, or whatever.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
It is, you're allowed to go out because the baby
is the favorite.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Always after seven o'clock, I'll never have your ever talk
continues where we took an trip yesterday with Ali for
the first time. She got to do something in christ
Church and your chance to win one thousand dollars is
after seven with the up requesse.

Speaker 7 (27:51):
The hits that John wan Ben podcast, Tumultuous Spring.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
But we're almost there.

Speaker 5 (27:56):
Well, we are nowhere near the end of what we're
doing right now. Hours to Never Have You Ever Tour?
Let's play the music and true the Liam and Meghan's
Never have You Ever Tour?

Speaker 7 (28:06):
With Gas?

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Yeah, thanks so much to Guess bet your service stations
never miss a fuel discount again. You can download the
one hundred percent key we Guess app to get discount
office delivered straight to your phone, traveling around the country,
making your nevers come true, things you've never done before,
including some of our own four four eight seven.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
Still time to make some of them happen, just for
one least.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Some moments ago, we're in Wellington. She's never so Wellingtonian,
who's never been to the South Islands. So we've said
stop what you're doing today. She's like, I've got stuff
to do. I've got to go see, you know, a
family member in hospitals, so don't worry about that. She's
hopping on the Enter Islander and we're going.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
To catch up with her very shortly.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
But yesterday Elie, the wonderful Ellie, had gotten in touch
and what hadn't she done?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Meghan?

Speaker 4 (28:46):
She'd never been on a helicopter or an alli copter.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
As he keeps saying, apparently there's a song and you
keep singing it.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
Oh no, because you've got sick and singing it. So
I've actually got the song to play for you. This
is for all the kids that like Nina.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Okay, So we got to take Allie in a helicopter
for the first time, which is pretty cool. Grocier helicopters
there by the airport me again, had been on you've
been on the helicopter?

Speaker 6 (29:20):
Okay, okay, so I said, my dad used to work
in a helicopter company. So I've been on a few helicopters.
I see that one time.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
You keep going you have the seat with the woman,
because I've been on lot.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
I just said, you go, you go on the window,
because I've been in a couple of Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
She was keep saying to me, who do you think
I've been on more helicopters, My costing on me, all
that sort of stuff the whole way through.

Speaker 5 (29:42):
So with old the old chopper pro over here were
we did board and we met Elie and here's how
it played out. So we're inside the helicopter.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Now apparently it's gonna get quite loud, so I don't
know if we're gonna.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Have any audio recording. Final words.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
I'm just excited. I had to have these Brittany mics
on our headphones.

Speaker 5 (30:04):
Ellie, final words from you.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
I'm just really excited.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
Thanks guys, you keep issues. How many words do you
want from me? How many final words?

Speaker 3 (30:18):
And so then we're set to go and Megan said,
well what happens now is termed the pilot help me.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
The warm up, the old shopping, the blaze.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
I did know I wouldn't using there times. I mean
the helicopters. We haven't been well. But anyway, he did
a great job. You navigated him up into the air
as well.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
It was very help would without give me your headphones
made in the copper.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
I'll talk to control teller.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
All right, here's here's the biggest part. Okay, we're going
to fire up. Now, you be using this making the
fire up?

Speaker 1 (30:54):
You know a little bit being on a helicopter more times.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Do you know anyone who has answering the question how
many hell the copter rides you've been on? Just say
less than me?

Speaker 4 (31:02):
Okay, I'm been in the window seat back.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Okay, the propellers are slowly turning.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Spoiler alert they get faster.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
Final words, Ellie, I regret that.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
She how they got the ride just talking to us there.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
I have no expert, but I feel like things are
getting underway.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
I'll tell you who's next, Bert.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
Water right, Water right? Final words?

Speaker 4 (31:42):
That was amazing.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
Those are her actual final words. Thank you, Ellie, thank you?
Have you ever ridden a helicopter? Take it off the list?

Speaker 6 (31:51):
Ellie?

Speaker 3 (31:53):
So yeah, written the helicopter so loud, so loud, so
we couldn't get an audio. But it's just amazing views
three sixty views of Christ's Little in the harbor and
it's just not being on the ground but higher.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
It's incredible to see it up there. I see why
you love it so much. It's your favorite.

Speaker 7 (32:12):
You feel.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
It has a beautiful day yesterday because I am a
bit of a nervous flight, but it was no turbulence.
It was beautiful. So think the team at christianch Helicopters
looking after us. It was great.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
Yeah, it was merely fun.

Speaker 7 (32:24):
The hits that johnaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
Yeah, we are in Wellington and just a bit of
a gear change because it's all fun of games and
we do like to entertain people. But life happens in
between the radio show and some serious life happened yesterday
for us when we got to Wellington. We experienced something

(32:48):
someone having a serious medical event, particularly you.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Two, because I was a lot further behind you, so
I was a few minutes afterwards, so Tom I arrived.
You guys are really and it was like just the
scene going on and you guys are right in the
thick of it, particularly especially.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
You Meghan, because like my parents, I just came from
a family who were just always like always help get
in there, like don't wait, to just do what you can.
So like I ended up calling the ambulance and had
to stay on the phone with them, and I did find.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Myself quite close to the situation.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
Yeah, and it was quite it was quite traumatically. Yeah,
So I don't want to go into too much detail
because it was full on for the people involved, and
you just.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Really just feel for I feel for you being right
in there as you know, as a mate, but also
the people involved and having you go through that and
seeing this whole scene way out and just yeah, horrible.

Speaker 6 (33:48):
I've never I've never experienced that before. And yeah, my
thanks to you guys, because like after I hung up
the phone to the emergency services, I just.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
And I was just like, well, that was a lot,
It was a lot.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
So yeah, without going into details about that, I went
home to my hope, well, went back to the hotel
room and I wrote something that I just it impacted
me so much, so I just thought I would like
to share this. So John o'bn and producer Ali were
giving me shit for pointing out all the blossom trees
around christ Church yesterday, but there were so many and

(34:25):
that was so pretty. Plus I know that they only
blown for such a short time, and so I always
appreciate them. So yesterday and christ Church, I also pointed
out a bird singing while we were punting on the
Apron River and how rare it is to hear a
bird in the center of the city. And BEEN was like, geez,
blossoms and birds, are you okay? And I was like, yeah,
I don't know, Am I okay? And then hours later

(34:48):
we were confronted with this really awful situation, and I
honestly I went back to my hotel room and I
just sobbed, and then I thought about the day, and
I remembered the blossoms and the bird words, and I
realized that even the hardest day has beauty, and some
of it might be fleeting, but it's still there, and

(35:10):
if you don't stop to take notice of it, it
could all just be gone in an instant. And we
rush around and we complain about trivial things and even
not so trivial things in our lives, but we miss
the good stuff, ah, and it can all be ripped
away from us in a second. So it's probably in

(35:35):
the last moments, it's going to be those fleeting things
like the blossoms and birds and the people around us
that we will miss the most.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah. Yeah, So like just in that tough moment, I
went home and I was like, yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
About the blossoms.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Over in an instant, the things that matter and the
things that don't. So that was beautiful.

Speaker 5 (36:03):
So yeah, sharing that when you're for sharing that, man, just.

Speaker 6 (36:07):
Like I mean, I just if you see anyone that
needs help, just like dive in. Yeah, it's like it's
it's hard, but like.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
I wouldn't have changed any of it yesterday.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
It's yeah, well in our thoughts with the family, Yeah yeah, yes,
just a just a horrible thing for everyone, including yourself,
to to have to go through.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
It's seven eighteen is the hats.

Speaker 7 (36:29):
The Hats. The Johona and Ben podcast.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Are in the middle of it.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Never have you ever tour traveling around the country? Are
things that we haven't done for the first time or
maybe you haven't four four it seven on the text.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
We were in Wellington today, So if you want to
knock anything off in Wellington, we're your people now. As
we're broadcasting from the Wellington Studios. Ben is working behind
a microphone that has what we call in the industry
a mic sock on top of It's basically a contraception
for Microsoft microphone, so you wrap these on and it's
a news talk zb microphone sock you behind.

Speaker 5 (36:58):
Ben has a look opinionated.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
It does look like you would have to make a
call and make it put your opinion out.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
I feel something I've got, like thoughts on immigration coming from.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
Unnecessary.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Don't get me started on the labor but the previous government.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Yeah, so as soon as I can take this Mike
Starck cough, I'll go back to the normal me, not
wanting to make a scene, not wanting to.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
Cause a fuss. I love that I was hosted, just like.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Right now, we want to know what the hats or
four four eight seven one of the little things that
your partner's doing in your relationship that's causing some stress.
And it was actually after having a conversation with you,
Megan and your husband Andrew, that I realized that in
some relationships are not every relationship, but some relationships there
is a more organized sort of person that wants to

(37:58):
get things planned, and then there's the other so I'm
a bit more chill.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
We'll just see what happens.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Yeah, And sometimes that works great together and other times
I feel like as the more stressed out, wanting to
get everything planned. And I noticed this over the school holidays.
I like, I can't just turn up by the place
and not know what we're done for dinner and things
like that. I'm like, I want to plan some stuff.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
We can change the plans, but I want to want
to plan some stuff. And a man and my wife's
a bit more, you know, a bit more chill, particularly
around holiday times, and that I feel causes me more
x because she's so chill. And it's the same with
john It's like I worry about Johnny and not bringing
in the pants are at time whatever it is.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
You know, every.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Pants on.

Speaker 5 (38:44):
The thing is from a relaxed person. Over here, I
go with the float person. There's no people stress, you know.

Speaker 7 (38:51):
More ship.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
I'm like, if the person who is the non relaxed
one could just take a little more cure, You're like.

Speaker 6 (38:57):
That stress about your own pants have to worry about
his angels.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Strictly comes down a little bit.

Speaker 5 (39:05):
Do you want do you guys want me to act
the street or.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Responsibility.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
Last time, we were going out for dinner and I've
been handed the company credit card.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
Previous mistake and that's on us, and I can tell.

Speaker 5 (39:20):
And producer Elie was handing me the company credit card
being I could.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
See being going this is a good idea, and I
was just mean to pay for a taxi and get
a receipt and I can tell He's like, he's.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
He's going to lose the cards. You did get a receipts.

Speaker 5 (39:34):
So we're hitting out for dinner.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Aund We're pretty much nearly there, and I was like,
I've got the credit card and I've got the receipt
and Ellie's like, great, where is it?

Speaker 1 (39:42):
I was back at the hotel mate. She's like, what
are we going to do in your wallet? And I'm like,
who's going out to dinner without a wallet?

Speaker 6 (39:47):
First nobody was a pause after you were like, it's
my wallet in the hotel room, and then being goes
do we not needn.

Speaker 7 (40:00):
We did?

Speaker 5 (40:01):
Plus a way to rush and put my pants on.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Sometimes you sent me are closer than the dryer as well.
I was like, I can't get some stuff out in
the dry so who's doing what? Won't he be away
for one night. This is why kept.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
It's the room.

Speaker 5 (40:21):
In the room there was a washer and a dry
and so washes it goes into automatic dry story. So
I was like, well, what would be a fool not
to make use of this? And then once it's in
the song, you can't open the door.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
The door that's still the first night of our trip.

Speaker 7 (40:35):
Was so.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
It go one of the little things that your partner
is doing, you know, maybe your friends is doing the
little things that are just stressing you about.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
You got a chance to vent right now. We've got
some help.

Speaker 5 (40:50):
I'm smelling fresh that I'm saying my close feel brand new.

Speaker 7 (40:54):
The heads that JOHNA and Ben podcast Listen.

Speaker 5 (40:57):
We're having to have some calls on here.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
Weren't we talking about how you partners stressing out at
the moment, but there's just an on slaughter character assassination
of me.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
We kind of went away from like a briefly touched
on the fact that a man was just to be out,
then put more on Johno's as you know, you have two.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
People in your life that, yeah, stress you out.

Speaker 4 (41:17):
Been probably deals with you more than I you do, Yeah,
but been deals with it.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
Andrew your husband stress you out.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
He's quite relaxed. I could tell he's the relaxed. There's
just he's the.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
One who's like, yeah, let's buy a cafe. And I'm like,
oh my god. I'm the realist. So I'm like thinking,
we don't know what we're going and I do all
the stressing.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
Well, I mean that's yeah, buying a cafe. I've been
going out today buying. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
Good, Well tell you one thing that's stressing me out too,
And I'm going to go on a rent. Here, really
is something that is stressing me out, and no one
can stop me on this rent. Okay, I'm going to
take down big toothpaste. Do you want that pop sock?
I want to swap it over.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
Yeah, get your opinions out there.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
What fun burger is to time at change.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
I'm going to be this to the toothpaste industry because
they are They're starting to have a laugh the toothpaste industry.

Speaker 7 (42:07):
Have you.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
I've taken a photo of the range of toothpastes that
are on off and now purely for whitening. Okay, Coldgate
optic white nightly treatment, Coldgate highest level hydraen hydrogen peroxide
whitening treatment. Coldgate Optic White renewal, ten times whiter Fresh, Coldgate,
Optic White Luminous deep Stains, Optic White Stain, Fighter Enamel Core,

(42:31):
Optic White White Express whitening, pin the Optic White White,
purple purple toothpaste, surface stains, Colgate Optic White Advase whitening,
and Coldgate two and one whitening. And I even got
onto the oral b range. How many different ways can
we whiten our teeth?

Speaker 4 (42:50):
Like, surely there's just one that would just whitened right.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
Well, it's not ten times. They're like, well, surely that's great.

Speaker 5 (42:57):
We all have the same amount of white teeth and
there's just one thing that can do that. So they're
having a layer like what the razor.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
Blade industry did to us in the nineties, adding more
blades on.

Speaker 5 (43:10):
We've got thirty two blades on a raiser now.

Speaker 4 (43:12):
But then what's the purple one?

Speaker 6 (43:14):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (43:14):
Like when you put toner in your here.

Speaker 5 (43:16):
The surface things a surface seeds. But look at the
photo I took a photo. Show you do it now?

Speaker 4 (43:23):
So many you took a photo of the supermarket.

Speaker 5 (43:26):
Yeah, a lot of toothpaste back in the day.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
You're just like, I'm going to nineteen ninety five, Marke
get tooth but one of the nice stripes down that
you stripes macleans.

Speaker 5 (43:36):
All we demanded in the nineties was a minty frush
in the mouth. You're right now with us, Maybe it's us,
Maybe we're a's are a dingerous listening? Do these whitening toothpastes?

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Actually you see on TikTok and the charcoal teeth and
things like that.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
Does that sort of stuff work? It's just like funny
for little videos. It would be good to know. We
always wanted to come up remember the because you have
the problems getting the last bit of toothpaste. We wanted
the double in toothpaste.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
And the name.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
But you imagine if you've got a nozzle at each
end of the tooth and then you never have that
problem with the end. We wanted the john side and
the binside. That was all we're going to do. But
I manufacturing problems and the branding problem work. But it's
listening right now.

Speaker 5 (44:20):
Just do the toothpaste next. You want your teeth? Yeah,
you know what I mean? Does a general life rule?
We don't want to be confused when buying toothpastes straightforward.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
Four seven that and your chance to win one thousand dollars.

Speaker 6 (44:30):
This next I'm just going to say, you know, this
energy that you've got with this toothpaste, like the passion
you're putting into the toothpaste, can you just harness some
of that into your daily life and your attitude towards
your pants.

Speaker 7 (44:46):
The heads that John and Ben podcast are.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
The weather not the greatest around the country over today
and tomorrow, some gusty year conditions, so particularly in the north.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
But right now the heads live free Bill's edition.

Speaker 1 (44:59):
We could be paying off what of your bells? The
cost of living? It's not great there.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Fun fact, actually did you know this is his child
actually recorded that song pay your bills bills by telephone
bills for this for this.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
Use a long play from him to do it. I
couldn't quite stay together for us to have the competition.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
But anyway, but you appreciate how we're feeling about beyond
that question, Marks Hagen know.

Speaker 4 (45:24):
I still feel I haven't done anything wrong.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
I'm not deep into like the whole slippery scandal that
you are me again.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
No, John and I are part of a special diddy
chat that Finn is not a part.

Speaker 5 (45:35):
Of what explosives, you don't know what anyway, forty five
minutes and you're like.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
What am I doing?

Speaker 7 (45:44):
What?

Speaker 6 (45:45):
What?

Speaker 5 (45:45):
What am I?

Speaker 3 (45:46):
Like?

Speaker 4 (45:47):
A whole of my down anyway.

Speaker 5 (45:48):
We won't get into that now.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
All right, now we want to pay someone's bells, so
hundred the hats the phones? Now?

Speaker 5 (45:53):

Speaker 11 (46:08):
Oh it's from the work, yeah, yeah, I just do accounts, not.

Speaker 5 (46:13):
Just do accounts.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Yeah, it's very exciting.

Speaker 5 (46:16):
The hell out of those accounts.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
Well, we'll look at hets accounts. At the moment, trying
to pay you some some bills. So what have you
got going on? What have you had to pay for?

Speaker 11 (46:24):
I've had to put two new tires on the back
of the car, which is quite strange because it was
only one that was kind of really bad. But apparently
you need to do both.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
Just a balance.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
It's the tire industry having a laugh.

Speaker 5 (46:37):
Mate, We'll pay for one and we'll give you fifty.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Bucks to go and have a coffee while you're wait,
Oh okay, don't get sucked into the you've got to
get two for a coffee.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
It's a coffee six. But that's what we did. My
team mate tea. Yeah exactly. Okay, So what one tire
costs you?

Speaker 11 (46:54):
One hundred and firsty here was one?

Speaker 5 (46:56):
All right?

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Well sorry, okay, John, I say we'll pay for one.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
We'll pay for one tire and we'll give you fifty
dollars so you can go to a cafe, get a
nice still my tea and some breakfast.

Speaker 11 (47:03):
It's so nice.

Speaker 4 (47:04):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
That's aw.

Speaker 5 (47:07):
I love that boy yourself something nicer.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
I appreciate you listening to the show. You have a
great day.

Speaker 11 (47:13):
Hey, thank you.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
Now we are traveling around the country. I now never
have you ever tour thanks to guest picture service stations
getting to know a lot more about each other on
a longer tour, especially Meghan. This they didn't point out
I had something on my face for about three hours.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
Yeah, I just watched it. Then I've got something her
face and I was like, thank some white fluff. So
initially I wasn't sure if it was your year. And
then it traveled down.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
And I just watched it, so thank you producer, Elie.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
We know she's got your beg.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
Meghan not so much.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
And something I've learned about you. John Watch actually ought
to be honest, I would he knew, but something in Meghan. Yeah,
shocking when it comes to directions. He was in charge
yesterday of.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Just anything that requires any level of responsibility.

Speaker 5 (47:58):
You're fun is a just for responsibility. I'm not going
to argue on that case.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
So you were like navigating our way around christ you
should be heading around yesterday, and you were like left
up there.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
It was on your phone. You were telling us all
what to do, and then we keep driving and you go, oh,
we should have gone map.

Speaker 6 (48:15):
Back there because we were going very I don't know
exactly where we needed to be, but I knew that
we had gone far away from that point and I
was like, don't Mike Crow manage this situation.

Speaker 4 (48:25):
I was driving, He's got this, And then I was like,
I feel like we've gone through John, are we still
going straight?

Speaker 1 (48:33):
And then it happened again, didn't it? Oh I should
have gone back.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
Turned around and go twok's back the other way.

Speaker 3 (48:40):
My problem is, what why am I playing the role
of google Maps, like Google Maps is you can tell
you where to go.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
We should happened my phone.

Speaker 5 (48:48):
I'm going lift up here, lifting four hundred right, don't
believe that on me.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
We should have been right. We should have had Google
Maps going because that where you're like the middle person
for no reason.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
It's like Google Maps is like that's had a pretty
bang up job of telling you we to go, and
I even Google Matter is looking at me, going brush,
how much easier can I make it?

Speaker 1 (49:04):
You missed this one? You missed this one. I have
to do this again.

Speaker 5 (49:08):
We literally ended up.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
You know you're in trouble when it directs you to
the middle of a roundabout. Yeah, and it's like you've
arrived at your destination.

Speaker 4 (49:16):
No we haven't.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
We are making your nevers come through this week and
we're in Wellington to today, heading across the parmy later
and we've just had a call come through of something
pretty cool that I have done it, but I don't
know if you guys have done. It's very iconic for
Wellington and an opportunity for not you, not just you
John o'meaghan to do.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
But you guys, listen to Papa, not to Papa okay, okay,
See the Wellingtonians are getting behind it.

Speaker 5 (49:37):
There are getting office something for free.

Speaker 1 (49:39):
If we're not for you guys, and for you listening
right now, we'll tell where it is in three minutes.

Speaker 7 (49:43):
On the Hats the Heads that johnaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
On our never have You ever tour around the country
doing people's nivers the things that we've never done before,
which is pretty cool as well.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Four four eighty seven.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
If you've got something you think you want to do
while we travel around, when Christ's yesterday made away to
Wellington today.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
And the joy you see on people's faces when they
do experience something for the first time. We took Ellie
on a helicopter. Been like to keep calling it the Meghan,
keep calling it the allicopter. And she did that for
the first time and just when she landed beaming.

Speaker 6 (50:16):
They've been trying to do it for a few times,
so it was a big thing for her to finally
get up.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
In the air.

Speaker 5 (50:21):
So already changing lives, guys.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
So thanks against pictures gradinations heading around the country right
now now, someone very very special on the show right now,
oh one hundred the hits.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
Good morning, how you.

Speaker 5 (50:32):
Doing TMZ, Hey, hey guys, welcome to me. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
Now, of course you're in Wellington right now. Now I
know about this, but John and Meghan don't know. You
want to offer something today that I don't think these
guys have done.

Speaker 8 (50:48):
What is it, Well, basically it's the Wellington cable cars.
So I understand John and Meghan haven't been.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
From what I say, it wasn't aware there was one.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Oh this is great.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
I have not been on a cable car.

Speaker 1 (51:03):
It's iconic. Yeah, it's awesome. They go, you go up
the hill, over the views back down of Wellington and
the harbor as well.

Speaker 3 (51:09):
It's I mean I've seen the picture like Wellington and
there's a cable car in the full.

Speaker 4 (51:13):
Ground and I saw that picture, but I didn't know
it was going.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
It still exists. Yes, it's awesome.

Speaker 7 (51:18):
Have you been on it?

Speaker 10 (51:18):
John, never undred and twenty two years. You've got to
come and see it. So we really want you guys
to come along.

Speaker 8 (51:24):
But we also wanted to we realize that so many
Wellingtonians have never ever been on it either, So we
want to invite everyone to come along between ten and
eleven this morning. Just say the magic words at the
ticket box and come and have a free trip on.

Speaker 5 (51:38):
Us, free table caring for the city of Wellington's very cool.
They say you can't be.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
Wellington on a good day, and this is the good
day they we're talking about right now.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
It looks beautiful out there this morning. Okay, so between
ten and twelve this morning, anyone could come along the
minute just about ten and eleven, mate, put them out
of business.

Speaker 10 (51:56):
Sorry, people have gone back to work. Come and have
a morning tea break and come.

Speaker 1 (52:02):
Yeah yeah, okay cool and we get to go. We
get to travel this morning. Can I bring them along, Megan.

Speaker 10 (52:07):
And John, Yeah, come along. I can't let you drive
it balls or anything, but you can bring the be.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
I've never rung the bell able car. I'm ringing it.

Speaker 5 (52:19):
It's like a diagonal elevator, isn't it.

Speaker 6 (52:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
It's also it's quite a steep incline, you know, but
it's really awesome. It's a very cool thing.

Speaker 5 (52:26):
Do people can muse on it daily.

Speaker 8 (52:28):
And Wellington Yeah yeah, there's about two thousand people who
commute on it every month.

Speaker 10 (52:32):
So yeah, up and down through the Rave Cave, you'll
see what's do.

Speaker 5 (52:36):
Work in school on this thing, the Rave Cave.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
For the last time, I took the kids. There's the
rave cap and we will see You'll see mate when
you see this between ten and twelve.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
This morning or ten and eleven after.

Speaker 10 (52:47):
Your eleven.

Speaker 5 (52:50):
Is clarify. That's one hour of free cable car.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
I'll say you heard it on the hats this morning
and between ten and eleven you can go along. We'll
go along this morning. I'll bring you guys along. It's fun,
it's all express.

Speaker 4 (53:00):
Come ride the cable car with us.

Speaker 5 (53:02):
Tansy lovely. Hey, thank you for your generosity and being
part of the show. Appreciate it.

Speaker 10 (53:06):
No problems saying the same.

Speaker 7 (53:08):
The hes the jonaan Ben podcast.

Speaker 2 (53:10):
So we're heading around the country on our never Have
You Ever tour. A pretty cool textas came through we
might try and do after the show as well as
the cable car in Wellington.

Speaker 5 (53:17):
Yeah, Jamie's just text.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
In full for a seven high team and from the
Insed CIS, which is the official training base of the
All Blacks.

Speaker 5 (53:24):
Heard of Them? Heard of the Black films?

Speaker 3 (53:27):
Yeah yeah, and also the Hurricanes and Phoenix. Do you
guys want to come and do a minus eighty.

Speaker 5 (53:33):
Seven degrees therapy session?

Speaker 3 (53:37):
Mine as you'll never have you ever, I've never put
myself in minus eighty seven degrees if anyone.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
You thought it was eight seven degrees. He that's so hot.

Speaker 5 (53:51):
Cremation.

Speaker 1 (53:52):
So we might try and do that later on as well,
if we can put that in the schedule.

Speaker 4 (53:55):
It sounds is he gonna like HB backwards?

Speaker 1 (53:58):
Yeah, incredible.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
I don't need things shrinking backwardsrees, that's for sure.

Speaker 5 (54:05):
Don't judge, just mega, okay, just know the conditions of fropy.

Speaker 6 (54:10):
I went to the supermarket and had a very awkward
situation because I had done a load of washing and
I've got like two little toddlers, so they've got little clothes, right,
So when I chuck everything in the washing machine, sometimes
bits and bobs end up in sleeves and whatnot.

Speaker 5 (54:29):
Through the static. Sometimes if you put on the dryer
to it.

Speaker 4 (54:33):
Oh yeah, no, like and crevices and like sleeves and whatnot.
So I was wearing a jacket.

Speaker 6 (54:41):
To the supermarket and it was like one of those
showl jackets that it was quite puffy, and I thought
it was because it was freshly cleaned, and I was like,
there's a lot that's kind of like bulky. But anyway,
I was at the supermarket at the counter with the
conveyor belt, and as I was putting my gross series
on the belt, my son's little undies fell out on

(55:04):
the belt in front of the chick.

Speaker 5 (55:07):
Out operations for public assumption, We've.

Speaker 6 (55:09):
Got a little beer ofies, and I was like, First
of all, I was like, I'm not trying to steal those.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
I haven't. It would look like like chuck stuff up
my sleeve. So I was like, I'm not trying to
steal those, and she was like, no, no.

Speaker 3 (55:22):
We don't premium beef mints in mind, but it's not
like a suit airport conveyor belt, where like they can
go on and you don't have to lay claim to them.

Speaker 5 (55:30):
They could be anyone around. Everyone knows the yours.

Speaker 6 (55:34):
Yeah, so yeah, undy's got stuck up my sleeve and
I was like, no, they've come from home. And then
I was like, that's not good enough explanation why I'm
carrying around the undies. And so you go into the
hole like, oh, I did the wash and it was
up the sleeve.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
And over explained it and then they're like.

Speaker 6 (55:52):
Looking at me weirdly, like nodding, like you're just please leave,
Just take your groceries and go love.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
Yeah, okay, So what do we want to do when
your undy's fell out? What's the topic we're rolling with?

Speaker 1 (56:03):
The may not necessarily when you're undy's feller? What fell out?
Where there was a car boot, whether it was out
of a clothing, you know, bag.

Speaker 6 (56:10):
When you drop your bag? Why is it so embarrassing
when you drop like you guys probably don't know. When
you drop your handbag and all the contents falls out
of your handbag, you're having a laugh.

Speaker 4 (56:19):
Pick up everything out.

Speaker 5 (56:20):
Happened to him at a Thai airport once white like
powder spray everywhere.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
Talk about it.

Speaker 5 (56:28):
Everything was very embarrassed.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
I think of a cleaner, that's for sure, fast clean up.

Speaker 5 (56:35):
Quickly.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
Yeah, the same sort of situation that happened to our
boss Harriet. Remember she oh her partner right. Remember he
had someone a long winded story.

Speaker 4 (56:45):
About how someone else is like underwear women stayed in.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
The place like a year ago, and somehow don't don't
lead him with it's a long winded story.

Speaker 3 (56:54):
He's he's already under the pressure, he's in an eighty
seven degree Further, it's like, oh, that.

Speaker 1 (57:00):
Would be from the flatmate that the person that stayed
like a year ago. You're like, really a year ago?
These are still caught up and the ship haven't won
the shit anyway. I believe them.

that we're not going to get too excited just yet.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Don't get cocky because you did remind us of the
time that we were up six nil or something and
then we ended up we only needed to win one
more race, and you fond memories of Dave Dobbin waiting
in a giant Marquee to perform loyal is the winning song.

Speaker 5 (57:51):

They got stuck up the sleeve and then they fell
out on the conveyor belt at the supermarket, which was
just would have been easier to explain my own undies.

Now, no one believes my story, so I'm going to
believe yes, And I knocked on the door to deliver
the underwear back.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
Did you tell your wife about that.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
Yeah, well, yeah, she was there at the time. But anyway,
I knocked to the door to tell and there and
the lady did not believe my story. It felt like
I'd just told them from the line, and then I
got the guilty. It was a long windowed story.

Speaker 6 (59:23):
