Everyone around him got ready. Now he was went right
through the eye of the store.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
So you're in Florida when that happened over the eye
of the hurricane went directly over my house.

So is it true what they say that the eyes
really calm?

Speaker 5 (02:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I mean there was no there was dead sound. We
had about a storm for about thirty minutes and then
it was dead silence.

And what hav to the houses around you?

Speaker 5 (02:16):

Uh no, really loss of life or anything like that.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
God blessed, but you know.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
We were lucky.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Is it an annual It feels like an annual levin? Yeah,
oh yeah.

I got hit by one and live in Louisiana. I
got hit by one in twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
It wiped out.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
It looked like it wiped out the whole town like
somebody dropped a nuke.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Is wild?

Speaker 4 (02:38):
What do you have? You got little bunkers? You're going
under the house. You're just strapping back out of town.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Comes in get away?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, because can you love your vintage clothing? I mean
sweet on the internet. What are you finding in New Zealand?
You're finding anything vintage? You got old old black stuff.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Or anything like that.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Well, I usually go to Search and Destroy. You get
a lot of good vintaged stuff. And where he's filming
right now, streak just a road.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
What's the arcade ca? Yeah, so we were there and
we were just we were shopping in between takes. Yestually,
it was amazing.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Are you filming up there?

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Yeah, that's what's cool about Wrecking Crew. It's not like,
well Chief of War was like, you know, all these
really beautiful remote spots, but now you know we're going
to be in the city, so it's kind of cool
to be around town now.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I'm being was saying that you guys, actually you rehearsed.
The band rehearses in between takes on the movie. Yeah,
do you have just like how many minutes do you
get to rehearse at the time?

Speaker 5 (03:29):
Sometimes like fifteen minutes minutes is quite a bit done.
It's more me versing. They're the ones that need good.
I'm the one that.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Needs apparently heard you say before because you taught Jason
to play guitar originally, but you've seen many times he's
a great musician.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Absolutely, yeah, he is a musician.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Fish Yeah like that.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
And what did you cost? What's your charge him back
in the day for guitar liston I don't just be.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Good?

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yeah, we should have start charging money because did you
realized it was.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I didn't even really think about that. It was about
hanging out and just having a good time.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
It's like, good, you guys have brought your friendship the band.
You get to travel the world, You get to travel
around New Zealand. Seems like a great time out. You
play a lot of covers and original music as well.
We're talking Read Hot Chili, Pep's Metallica, Rolling Stones.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Yep, that's up and it's just basically all our favorite music.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
So would you rockify some pop music like some Taylor
Swift or.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Thinking about that?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Won't have a band meeting afterwards? Me they can do this.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
No idea is a band.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Because I've seen read Or jump on stage with you
guys before.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Jack Black and all sorts. It was awesome.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Yeah, my kids came on. My son's gonna come down,
so he'll probably jump up hopefully when we play a
couple other shows.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Does your family visit quite often here?

Speaker 5 (04:59):
You try to if they' cool? Yeah? I love it here,
both of them. So I'm super pumped.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
But you love your rugby of course if you introduce,
because I've seen on your Instagram you love football, American football, basketball,
like Heavis, Jason introduced to rugby here.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Really we wouldn't watch the player Argentina all black players
mind blonde.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
It's unbelievable those boys are. There's something else they got
to meet the team.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah, yeah, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
I'm a fan now I'm what's up the scot Rapperton.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
And you know, yeah that's cool because obviously, Jason, you
love the old school. A tan of Umong is like
one of your items.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Man, he's yeah, he's man. Yeah, he's the best.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I had a moment at your premiere actually because I've
met him before. He's a lovely guy and he smiled
and waved at me and he came walking over. I
was like, this is going to be the greatest moment.
He was, how you're doing, He's going to have a
chat his wife was behind me. He felt obligated because
he's such a lovely guy to have a chat to me,
And then I realized he didn't come to see me.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Oh my God loves me.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Really.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Hey, we don't get rock stars in the studio that often.
Then there's a train going around get people to sign
old photos themselves. So Kenny, it was the first.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
One for you.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Needed this right now. Kenny's got here like mine at
the moment peroxide? Was this nineties or what was this?

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Stick my head and bleach? It feels like a sort
of an offspring there.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, okay, well you're a harder person to track down
old photos of you.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Now this is all we can fight. Looks up maybe
one of the first times you met Jason for a
long time, about ten years ago.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah, your head, yeah, quite good, quite good here there,
and now you're rocking a lot shorter haircut as well.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Jason's pulling the fingers in the photo.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Rock and roll and Jason, we're gonna go with this
one for you.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I wasn't.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
Screen screened it.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Thought we had.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Sorry, there's a few photos of me out there like
that on the internet too. I'd like to burn.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
We need to present. Actually me, I drank all those memories.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
We need to spring clean the internet.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
About to go on tour all the details and get
the hat stock code. And it's awesome to have you
