live from Orlando Harley for our Bike Drive. The News
Junkie and the monsters have absolutely killed it. I'm looking
(01:20):
at a sea of brand new bicycles, tassels in all
young ones, old ones, big ones, small ones.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
It started slow when you start at six am, that's
gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
But they're over two hundred now. Oh really yeah, very nice.
It was the latest count Sabrina.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Thirty three.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
At three o'clock there's two hundred and thirty three bikes.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah, you guys are welcome to come on down. It's
Orlando Harley right there, right off five four is super
easy to find when you slide in, bring your bike,
bring you a helmet, brand new if you don't mind.
I actually got mine today and they were pre assembled.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
The bikes. I got the pre assembled lucky.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
And I see like I got here at one o'clock
today and there's a crew over there of three people.
Somebody's doing shots and they're putting together bikes. I busted you.
You're doing a shot over there.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
If they should do shots. They're putting together bikes. Jimmy,
the seat's gonna be what the handlebars are?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
That's speedy weenie.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
We have Kayla also working out there, coot.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Troops putting bikes together.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
They finished all so sometimes you get the pre assemble bike.
Sometimes they come in a box and they fi all
the ones that came that needed assembling.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
They did it.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
They finished, and then a generous company came and brought
like forty eight more all in boxes and that's the
pile they've been working through since.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Super happy to see those guys show up.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
Super happy a shot.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Big smiles, big smiles there. I brought jack on your recommendation.
I did not bring a child's bike. I brought two
of the twenty four inch tire bikes. I guess that
would be your And I brought a boy and a girl.
Remember I told you I was gonna bring a boy
bike and a girl bike.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Correct for a second, you bought a children and bike.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
I have a twenty four inch boy and a twenty
four inch girl.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
I was last year in Vietnam, but hey now, but yeah, man,
I mean it's awesome seeing this happen. And then you know,
how nice is it that Orlando Harley let's just come
out and kind of take over the dealership for a day.
And of course Corfloring and Corey. I see his truck
over there. He's got bikes in his truck as well,
So big thanks all those guys.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Corey's gonna swing by a three forty five because he
has bikes and donate. But I said, wait till after
three Yeah, so we can added them to our account.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah we want to get those breedy bastards, Yeah for sure.
But yeah, man, what a day. The weather is absolutely wonderful.
And again right off of by four, super easy to find.
So grab a bike, come on down. Remember, please make
it a brand new bike. I also got a helmet,
but I made it kind of a mistake.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
What wait wait, wait, wait, you got mistake. You have
two bikes, but you got a helmet. That's awesome. You're thinking,
you're thinking's safe.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Jack, I like that I got.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I got two bikes with only one helmet. And there's
no way for me to explain why. I do not
know why wait wait, wait a minute, you knew you
were buying two bikes.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
I did, so who gets who's safe? Whose life? Do
you care more about the.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Well, it's hanging right now on the girl's bike, So
apparently I like the girls bike more.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
But I'm a girl.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Dad, Well you have you know, three girls, so I think, okay, maybe,
but you figure the boy's tougher.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Maybe so I don't know.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
The boy wouldn't wear it anyway, Yeah, I think that's
probably what is the boy.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Last year I got one that had the spikey the
spiky brush spike like the mohawk. I got that.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
I remember those.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was definitely a boy when But
the reason why I have only one helmet is way
more embarrassing than I could ever imagine telling anybody.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
But it's thousand percent true. Okay, so you got the
two bikes.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Got that two bikes aren't cheap, and really thank you
to everyone who's made the donation, every company, every individual
person because they can run up there. So you got
two bikes and the helmet you're adding on, but you
only buy one helmet.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I got one helmet. Here's the deal. So I walk
up I get these at Walmart. By the way, I
strongly suggest to anybody that would like just to have
a great afternoon, just go to Walmart right now. Just
can I tell you, it doesn't matter why you're going
to Walmart, just go to Walmart. We leave the league,
(05:09):
I say, wee Walmart. We leave the league in people
breathing out of tubes in Walmart and lead the league,
and people who look completely able to walk, not walking,
but yet on scooters scooting through Walmart. But that's a sign.
That's another argument altogether. So they had these bikes on
sale and actually a really good deal. But it turns
out when I got the two bikes and they got
(05:30):
the one helmet. Remember how yesterday I told you that
was very proud that I had money on my Apple
thing after using my Apple cards you get the bonus money.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yes, So when you use your Apple card on your phone,
you're building up your credit and so you get that
money back and you have it's like free cash.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, you get that cash bag.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Right. What turns out that if I'd have bought another helmet,
it would have exceeded the money that I had saved.
I made up. I made a determination that I was
going to go in there, and I'm saying, I'm spending
(06:09):
this two hundred and sixty or fifty nine dollars whatever
it was, and I'm getting bicycles today. And I was like, well,
I can't get three bikes because then you know, I
can't get so I get two bikes. And the one
helmet brought me right up to exactly how much money
I had on my debit card for the for the
money I've used and gained by spending on my Apple
(06:29):
card all year for is that bad? It's not bad,
it's not bad.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
It's no.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
You you donated two bikes, it's awesome, and one helmet
that it's more than a lot of people can do.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
It wasn't cheap.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
But the reason even worse.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
When I get a by car.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
I put truck and I put the bikes up there,
and I threw the helmet in the four board of
the side. Yeah, and I just laughed at myself. I'm like,
why do you have one helmet? Duche? Why do you
have one helmet?
Speaker 3 (06:58):
So boy, bikes and bikes because we come from a
different era. Yes, you you apply gender to bikes. Yea, yeah,
what about the helmet? What color is it?
Speaker 2 (07:07):
It's black?
Speaker 4 (07:09):
That way it goes with everything. I'll get that fair
enough enough.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
I almost got purple because the girl bike is purple,
but it's got some black in there. Yeah, the boy
bike has black. I figure black will go with everything.
Most handlebars I'm looking out of those are black or
the handles are black's it'll match. It's fine.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
So we are looking out at A and we're on A.
They have a stage horse here at Orlando, Harley Davison
and people. You're welcome to come by hang out. We'll
be here until seven and the weather is just primo.
But we have a little area for little kids bikes
and then that medium size that what would be a
twenty inch bike or so and then but what and
what I've noticed last year when I see land and
(07:44):
I got to be part of the distribution event is
those older kids, teenagers, whether the twelve, thirteen, fourteen, little
big for a twenty inch bike, that's where you need
that twenty to twenty four inch bike. So the fact
that you brought two of those is worth the price
of one helmet.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
And the funny thing is I look out and I
don't see like a bunch of the ones like I got.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
I see some of them.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
But you know, I thought of BMX bikes, which is
cool because that's what like most kids are riding, is
the BMX bikes. But I do see some of the
other that size up there, which is kind of good.
So like a sea of bikes. This is great, man,
this is really cool. So again, if you have the
opportunity and the means and you would like to buy
a bicycle, you don't have to buy one two what
is buy a bike? Come on down, bring it to Orlando, Harley.
We'll be here like Jack's until seven o'clock. And if
(08:26):
you heck, if you can only get one of the box,
we have a crew over here that can put it
together for you if you can find one already assemble.
I actually asked the guy at Walmart, can I just
take the one off the rack? Yeah? And he looked
at me like I was crazy. Really, he goes, if
you're buying a dude, you can take it from wherever
you want.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Oh cool, Yeah, I thought crazy has in like no way.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
So I legit just grabbed two that they have already assembled,
right off off the rack and brought it right down
as a piece of cake. I wasn't in the store
eleven minutes.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah, but don't you realize now what you just you
just hindered their bike sales for the rest of the
day because if they don't have those display models, people
are not going to know they're available and they will
not be sold that And.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
You didn't get a second helmet.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
I just need a second helmet.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
God of Money. I feel like a complete ass. Now
I'm over. We do have a lot of stuff to
talk about, you know. Animal House Kenny Talier is gonna
be here live today because the Pedal Lions is just
try the street.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Yeah, exactly, and he's got some really great ideas for
the pet lover in your life, some maybe off the
wall things that you could do for a holiday gift
this year. He's also I think it'd be bringing Georgina,
who will be looking for cake.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Georgina is a dog okay and girl girlfriend if you're
saying that about your girlfriend, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
He is.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
He is a dog lover. Also was speaking of it.
If you're looking for a fur baby. They've got a
great deal on adult dog and cat adoption. Yeah, they do,
very not I'll let Canny tell you all the details.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Very cool. We also Scott Maxwell today. He actually comes here.
He's coming by live today. I'm I leaned on him
a little bit. I'm gonna be honest with him. Good
because I didn't even think he was coming today. I
thought he was gonna be out of town, but he
told me he got back in town. I was like, well,
we'll get to be at Orlando, Harley. You can make
the call. And he actually has an event not far
from here, so he's gonna drop by after his event
(10:06):
and can't wait to see Scott live. Santa just pulled
up on a motorcycle with reindeer orange, which is awesome, and.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
They lit Christmas tree on the.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Back and he is here for the afternoon and he
will be inside and you can get your picture with Santa.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Yes, you most certainly can. I did not know that.
Look at that.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
That's cool.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
That is I'm not sure you can sit on this side.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Well, man, forty bucks, I can do what I want.
Helmet with it.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Let me get.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
We will. Ross will be calling him talking about good
sauce today. We have so much fun stuff to talk about,
for sure. So just a fun day today as we
kind of sit back at Orlando Harley and wait for
you guys to bring this up bike. By the way,
we have tables set up. There's a food truck here.
I actually had a burger from Loco Burgers. Was damn good,
great French fries.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
You had a burger too, right, I did have a burger,
but I got their toastone ACKs.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Oh did you really?
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Oh? And they're so good.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Damn that's awesome. Yeah, we have whiskey over here. I
saw somebody, some people with beer. All the stuff is here,
So just come on down hang out for the afternoon.
If you get off work, just drop by, grab a bike,
come on by and hang out. Tables are set up,
or you can just chill for a bit if you'd like.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
And if you're driving by on I four and you
see our great, big real radio inflatable. We've had a
couple of honks in the past.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
And that will flash you if you honk.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
I did try it. It didn't work.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
What didn't work?
Speaker 5 (11:23):
Let's try it again.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
These are bikers.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
It works every time. I could make it work.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
I've got tiny fudgers. I think I could probably get
one of these dudes to wink at me at least.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
By the way, a big chat out we called in
our vip tech support. We'll be up on YouTube very
soon and you'll be able to watch the show as.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Well now as vip tech support. This guy, his name
is Ryan Holk.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
I was gonna say, can we give him a big
round upplus since he's been here since like what five?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Behind the scenes. The funniest thing in the world is
is watching Ryan sunk into the studio or anywhere we
were working to get us online as if he's Now.
Do you remember the movie Oh God, the prison football team,
Oh longest yard longest yark, Yeah, And the coach comes
up and the kicker is sitting in the stands smiling.
The kicker is sitting in the stands and he's smoking
(12:09):
cigarettes and drinking coffee and read then the paper and
the Cocoas what do you do? He goes, I'm the kicker.
He goes, why aren't you practicing? He goes, okay, and
he goes on the field. They sit one down in
forty yards. He banks it right down the middle. He
goes right back to his paper. That's right, that's right,
that's all the odd Ald. He knows this stuff like
inside out, So seeing him soul cup is kind of
fun for sure, Are you Ryan? Four? Seven nine one
six four one. You can always text us. By the way,
(12:29):
we do have the texting service up today, so you
get text as well. That is seven seven zero three one.
Are we doing talk backs thing? Can we do that?
We're working on that. Yeah, we should have them. Okay, good,
you can do that as well. Just grab the iHeartRadio
app good Real Radio and use that mike to send
your comment on the bike drive. Whatever we're doing, you
can certainly comment. We'll put you up for a short
dem What do you have for news today?
Speaker 5 (12:48):
We're going to talk about a Senate committee advancing a
Charlie Kirk bill. Orange County public schools are considering several
closures and splouting and booted but raising a whole lot
of cash. We'll talk about that and more coming up
next during JCSNW.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
You gotta take a little break.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
We'll come back and get Dev's dues and do more
of than Cober Show Live from Orlando, Harley Dury our
bike driving a bike Come on, yeah, Beck once Cobra's show,
Real Raindio one four point one. Thanks so much for
tuning in today. We appreciate that very much. We are
broadcasting live from Orlando. Harley Davidson during our bike drive.
(13:23):
Two hundred and thirty three plus bikes on property now.
We would love to get down to three hundred with
you guys help. So come on down, bring a new bike,
drop it off. Any size is cool. We do have
a lot of small bikes now, so if you wanted
to switch into maybe the BMX style bike or maybe
even that twenty four inch tire bike, we could use
some of those.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
That'd be great.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Helmets are all so useful. Just come on down. Brand
new bike in the box is fine. If you have
an assembled that's fine as well. We would love to
see you for sure down here to Lando Harley, Welcome back.

Yet there was popcorn as well, courtesy I believe of
Moto Yeah, Motorwit, thank you Moe and.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
He's mos given free hot sauce for every bike donated.
We have real radio merch magnet stickers as well, and
we'll really hook you up if you bring a bike
and two bike helmets to make up for the one
Jim shorted some kid in the Paramour or hold the
Heights community.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
There, that is a nice bike.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
All right, let's get some news.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Here's that it's time for JCS news. Wow, this guy
gotta put his name on everything.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
Colber Show.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
And JCS News is brought to you by that mortgage
guy Don all right, kicking it off with a couple
of national stories before we come back home closer to
the state of Florida. The Federal Reserve lowered interest rates
today for the third time this year. The rate cut
of zero point twenty five points was made during the
Fed's final meeting of the year. Now it brings the
rate to between three and a half to three and
(15:08):
three quarters percent, the lowest and nearly three years. Good
news if you're out shopping for car home Legiam earlier kid.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
And as Jack. The market three hundred and four hundred
points above where it was, So it's up to six
hundred point right.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
Now, which is good news. Now this mark, though, here's
the bad news. The fourth straight vote that was not
backed by all members of the twelve person Federal Open
Market Committee. There were three dissenting votes, and that's the
most since November of twenty nineteen.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
Really, they cannot get a unanimous vote like since July
they have been able to get a unanimous vote.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
All right. A New York judge has ordered the release
of grand jury material related to Jeffrey Epstein associate Glaine Maxwell.
The federal judge grant at are request by the Justice
Department on Tuesday and said it's it's taken measures to
put in place and mechanism to protect victims from the
inadvertent release of materials from the case. Why does that
sound like a threat to me? Ye, I'm the only
(15:59):
one that that's one that sounds cover up. No, come on, now,
you must be joking conspiracy theorists, are you? Maxwell was
convicted on federal sex trafficking charges in twenty twenty one. Now.
The ruling comes after a judge here in Florida ordered
the release of grand jury material related to investigations into
Epstein in the two thousands. Meanwhile, another judge is set
(16:22):
to rule on another request to unsealed grand jury records
connected with Epstein in New York. Back here in Florida
release all Epstein files. That's the wording of a neon
sign that appeared on I ninety five, an overpass in
Palm Beach County Monday night. Probably aren't going to see
it anymore. A driver's heading northbound just before the North
(16:42):
Lake Boulevard saw the sign, which was removed by authorities
soon after it was reported. President Trump last month signed
legislation to release the files following congressional approval. Much of
late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's crimes against underage girls happened
at his estate in Palm Beach. All right, does we're
sticking around in South Florida because this is a story
(17:03):
we had covered during JCS news yesterday and I had
professed my doubts that this could actually happen, but it did.
Miami Mayor elect Eileen Higgins held a news conference this
morning following her eighteen point victory yesterday's runoff elections. Oh
I heard you, Yes, Now, this geme was a blowout.
It was a blowout. And that's over a Trump endorsed candidate.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
Not only Trump, Desantus endorsed as well.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Absolutely. Now, the sixty one year old Higgins will become
Miami's first woman mayor. Not only that, while officially officially
a nonpartisan election, we just talked about the endorsements. The
former county commissioner also became the first Democrat to hold
office in at least three decades, and is also the
first non Hispanic candidate elected mayor since Stephen P. Clark
(17:50):
in nineteen ninety three. Why do I expect a Griswold
something after that Stephen Peak Clark.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
That's the least Spanish name I've ever heard, and that
was the last Clark has. Think those results might more
fuel to the idea of redistricting in state.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
You know, exactly exactly all right. A Senate committee is
advancing a bill to create a day of remembrance for
slain conservative activist Charlie Kerr.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Stop right there, stop right there. I want to ask
you a question.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Okay, what other person in the state of Florida do
you believe has a day of remembrance? There's only one
other person that has this designation as I read today,
do you guys know who it is?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
John Young? It is not John Young, I.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
Would say Martin Luther King.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
It is Ronald Reagan. Really, as I read this morning,
the only other person that has the designation they want
to give to Charlie Kirk is the former President Ronald Reagan,
some considered one of the greatest Republicans that ever lived.
They're putting that guy on the same par level as Ronald.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Reagan, well, the governmental level.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Well, Reagan's kind of a rhino. Now, oh, he'd be
a liberal now exactly.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
The Governmental Oversight and Accountability Committee approved the bill five
to two. It would authorize the governor to issue a
proclamation on Kirk's birthday, which is October fourteenth. Now the
bill needs further approval before going to the full Senate.
How much of a delay do you think that's going
to face None? Oh, okay, thanks playing yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
In Florida, yeah exactly.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Now, this next story just breaks my heart. But Orange
County Public Schools are considering several changes and that includes
potential closures. How many schools are they talking about closing
due to a significant drop in student enrollment?
Speaker 2 (19:37):
It's like half a does it?
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Six seven and.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Six seven seven?
Speaker 2 (19:41):
It is seven school I read that story this morning,
and I'll give you one guess where the schools are
Orla Vista, Pine Hills.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Now there areas that need public ed, free public education.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
People are coming to the state.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
The problem is the defunding of public education by shifting
that money charter schools, right.
Speaker 5 (20:01):
Absolutely, or we don't know what their accreditation process.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yes, it's so bad. They're thinking about actually combining some
of these schools together in the building so that those
two groups of students will go to one school wherether
Meadowbrook has one of them. That's school's been Pine Hills
for fifty years.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Yeah, and this is going on all over the state. Jacksonville,
they're also talking about consolidating schools instead of closing them,
and this of course comes as district leaders continue to
face huge financial challenges. The Orange County School Board is
going to be discussing the schools next Tuesday at a
work session. Like I said, seven schools that are under
enrolled have I've been identified but not announced publicly all Right.
(20:35):
After years of homeowners complaining that Florida, Florida's laws make
it nearly impossible to hold their ho way accountable, a
new proposal by a South Florida Republican would tip the
scales back in their favor. Do you need me to
repeat that? House Bill six fifty seven would be the
biggest overall of HOA laws in the Sunshine State in years.
(20:57):
The bill would remove a lot of the requirements that
homeowners have to seek mediation before they could sue their HOA. Instead,
the proposal would create a streamlined Community Association Court program
that would be a dedicated wing of a circuit court
that would specifically oversee HOA dispute.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
It would just allow the law to be the final
word of these HOA disputes rather than Stan who runs
the local lawnmower repair shop. It just happens to live
in that neighborhood who actually may have a better grasp
on what is legal and better for the community than
some of these people who wind up backing into these
HOA positions.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Yes, and that's exactly what it is.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
People just back into positions because nobody else wants to
do it. So then you have the least qualified people
managing neighborhoods and pissing everybody off. And there needed to
be another step. And I'm glad this is happening.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
Yeah, exactly, because it seems like the hoas continue to
have the most power when it comes to that, including
putting leans on your.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Arm, which is unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (21:52):
For something is your grass is happening, it's too high,
your garbage can is touching the curve.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Do you think about that? Like a group of your
constituents in your neighborhood could literally cause you to lose
your home because your grass isn't cut right right.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
Exactly, exactly unreal. All right, this story is really really cool.
State lawmakers tackled a lot of issues related to artificial
intelligence yesterday. We had talked about some of them, right
AI Bill of Rights now that includes House Bill five
twenty seven that's going to require a human being to
deny any insurance claims. So State Representative Hillary Castle.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
They don't seem to have a problem with that, right,
Maybe maybe we'll let AI roll on this week.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Well representative State Representative Hillary Cassel, who represents parts of
the county. She's behind the idea. She told her colleagues
with the House Insurance and Banking subjecty that they don't
really know how much insurance companies use AI right now.
But a national story is what prompted the bill, and
basically the national story was behind the assassination of United
(22:57):
Hell CEO share by Luigi Mangioni. Well in that apparently,
you know, we had talked about Mangioni the shooter, having
a beef with their denial process. Apparently up to ninety
percent of that company's denial process is handled by AI unreal.
So her bill would say, yeah, you know, that's not
(23:17):
going to go here in Florida. Now, there were some
opposed to this, including Michael Carlson. He just happens to
be the president of the Personal Insurance Federation of Florida.
I don't see what their problem was this, I really don't.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
I'm gonna tell you. I love the transparency. I love
the fact that they can't hide to go. Look, man,
I'm not for that. And everybody knows what y Yeah,
we know, we don't we know?
Speaker 5 (23:41):
Yeah, exactly, Quiet Piggy, Yeah, quiet piggy, you.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Use your words for the day, piggy, exactly. All Right.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
The subcommittee voted in favor of the bill, but it
still needs to go through several other committees before it'll
reach the governor's desk. All right, And update on another
story that we had covered earlier this week, and that
was the small plane that crashed onto I ninety five. Right, Yeah,
it turns out that a pastor and his wife and
daughter were there to help the driver out of the car.
So Annie Wiggley was with their husband and daughter on
(24:12):
I ninety five in Brevard County on Monday when they
saw that small plane crash land on the highway, striking
a car in the process. Wiggley and her daughter get
this just happened to be nurses, oh my, And they
said the traffic had slowed enough after the crash that
they were able to run across the road and try
to get her out of that car. They said when
they ran to check on the woman inside the partially
(24:34):
smashed car, she was really just dazed.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yeah. Other than that, fine, that'll happen when you get
snuck up on by a plane, exactly. Yeah. The other
thing too, is that that that was national everywhere everywhere.
When you see that video for the first time, you're like,
there's no way that doesn't go viral. I mean, you
just don't see a it looked fake. It did You're
watching a crystal clear dash cam shot of an airplane
from I Look at Indiana Jones movie. It was like
(24:59):
a car tell move Bales in the dude summary.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Well, and he just takes, you know. And what was
interesting is Burvard County Fire Rescue showed up. They said
the pilot was still sitting in the pilot seat. He
and the passenger were a okay. Now, They did transport
the driver, a fifty seven year old woman who was
taken to the hospital. Again, the miracle here is only
minor injuries. And I do stretch the word miracle because
Annie's husband is Pastor Bernard Wiggily, and he said, given
(25:26):
the state of the car, the woman was incredibly lucky.
He said, the entire vehicle was total crashed in except
the driver's seat.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
Wow, the only part of the car that wasn't destroyed.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
That's why he gave that up to divine intervention. Kidding too.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
Quickly, I would too. You know it, you know it
all right? Speaking of thanking God, one o'calluman. I wonder
if we know him. I'll have to see if this
name is Casey or anything. And o'kalaman is a multi millionaire. WHOA,
it's not Casey, fortunately it's David Rubert. How much money
did he win from a scratch off ticket he purchased
(26:04):
at a local gas station.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
So multimillionaire and a scratch When did scratch.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Offs come out?
Speaker 5 (26:10):
But I'm gonna start investing in these bad They have a.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Two or five million dollar ticket, I believe. I think
it's a two day but I believe in Florida there's
a two million dollar ticket, and I think there's a
possibility of a five million dollar ticket. I'll go two million.
Speaker 5 (26:21):
How about fifteen?
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Damn? Really?
Speaker 4 (26:22):
What did you played three of them?
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Oh? He did the bonus thing.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
He won the grand prize and a gold rush multiplier
scratch off. Oh lot of a circle? K and okalla, Jesus.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
So power Ball is tonight, yes, oh yeah, nine something.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
I thought it was supposed to be like nine hundred
and eighty five million drawing tonight. You guys can remember
to stop and get your tickets on the way home.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Hey, Siri, remind me it's seven point fifteen to get
a Powerball ticket.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
And it's days like this that I knew I should
have opened.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
That four wheeler dealership.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Now, ocalla, that fifteen million dollars is going to be gone,
and none of it's going to be on land.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
It's all gonna be on wheels or water guaranteed.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Well, Reuben actually chose to take the lump sum payment
of about nine million dollars. Damn taxes. All right, and
then finally we had talked about this and actually had
the video up on our YouTube channel earlier this week.
Remember that raccoon that went viral recently for its drunken bender.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Oh my god, Virginia Liquor store, did you see the
SNL video? The SNL thing. No, SNL finally hit something
because they've been it's been a little stale and they
had some money as the drunken raccoon go on to
the news segment and it destroyed.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Oh, I'll have to be checking that out. Well, this
drunken raccoon is actually helping raise money for a local
animal shelter. So the raccoon has been, of course safely
released back into the wild after their vendor at the
ABC liquor store thousands of dollars in damage, wasn't it
like almost ten thousand dollars?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Deliver?
Speaker 5 (27:52):
The Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter has been selling
merch with an image of the day's raccoon next to
a spilled bottle of liquor. Trash. Panda shirts, stickers, hoodies,
and tumblers have so far so far brought in how
much money for the shelter man.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Trash Panda is a great shirt? Three hundred thousand.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Ooh, I'm gonna oh that's a good number.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
It is because it's viral and even though it's the
you know, the drunken raccoon, it's still it is viral. Yes,
oh no, it's okay. Half a million, five hundred thousand.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
One hundred and fifty six thousand dollars day. So get
your trash Panda shirt stickers and hoodies and tumblrs.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
I kind of want one.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
I think I got to do it as well. Either way,
that concludes your JCS News trash Panda.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
All right for a seven text seven seven zero three one.
We are broadcasting live for Orlando Harley Davidson right off
of I for It's her Big Bike Drive. Guys, So
if you have the opportunity and the means, grab yourself
a brand new bike coming down and donate it and
feel good about yourself for the Christmas holiday. We are
in this in front of a sea of bicycles. I
believe we have about two hundred and thirty three so far.
(28:58):
And look the fight is is I see literally two
thirds of the monsters in the morning, no doubt, right
in front of us, right now, assembling bicycles. How cool
is that? Dude?
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Guys an angel, come.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
On, Rollins.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Where are you two thirds of the Morning show out
here twisting wrenches doing the thing. Love those guys, Thanks
so much. Ryan Holmes is there as well. See Lane
still on property. I think Sabrina is still walking around.
So come on down and say hey and bring a bike.
It's a great opportunity to do something nice for Christmas
out here at Orlando, Harley, you are listening to the
Jim Colbert Show and Real Radio one four point one.
(29:44):
Obert crew.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
What do you call an old snowman water?
Speaker 7 (29:50):
Would you call it with a six pack?
Speaker 2 (29:53):
An abdominal snowman?
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Oh? Oh that hurts?
Speaker 2 (29:59):
All right, Welcome back to the joke Over Show, Roll
Radio one oh four point one. I'm Jim. There's Dad. Hello,
Jack is here as well. Hi there. Scheduled to appear today,
Kenny Tale. You're from the Pedalliance of Greater Orlando. We'll
talk to him for Animal House. Scott Maxwell live on
stage today. So if you have a bike, come on
down to Orlando, Harley. Donate that bicycle. That's what we're
(30:20):
doing here today. We're doing our bike drive so you
can bring some cool stuff down. Bicycles for sure, and
helmet if you don't mind, that'd be great. And again
we're here at Orlando Hardley today for our big bike drive.
You are welcome to come down. We'll be here till
seven o'clock.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
And who knows will one of you guys drive away
with your own brand new bike? Does this make you.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Like? I gotta tell you I've been through that stage
of my life.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
I really did.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
I had a motorcycle for years. I absolutely loved it.
But just driving here today in my vehicle, I reminded
myself why I don't have a motorcycle anymore.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
Man.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
I'm telling you, people are just crazy. Just it's not
even the traffic. People say traffic, it's not the tray.
It's just how completely tuned out people are while they're driving.
Almost got sights white by a guy today, just on
his phone, switching lanes, even looking you know.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Yeah, it's why I don't like riding a bike, even
in the bike lane. It's nerve wracking on those major
streets because people are and every time you look up,
their eyes are like looking down.
Speaker 5 (31:19):
Towards their hands, doing the drift ye doing the drift
phone drift halftime. You don't know if they're drunk or
if they're on their phone. You've seen how many texts
we've received at seven seven zero three one from drivers
who said, Hey, you know, I wanted to honk at
you driving by an eye for it, but didn't want
to get shot by the car. Nasty, I thought, Man,
that's the state of the world.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Man, So dab I know the urbic animal fan. Actually,
I see Kitty over there right now getting ready for
Animal House with a with a dog that is like,
that's right up your alley.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
Yeah, is my breed right there, Golden Retriever. Yeah, I
cannot go wrong.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
But I can't believe that you haven't covered the newest
animal story in Orlando.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
There.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
You know we have Animal Kingdom or animal is it
animal Kingdom? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (31:58):
I saw the headline, but I'm not sure.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
Jungle habitat we have.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
We have the Central Florida Zoo that we have great
relationship with, Gatorland.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
Yeah, I'm not happy about this. I don't think.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
What animal jack do you believe would be the most entertaining?
But you don't know why animal display business, the drunk racoon,
The drunk would be great.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
How about a slotherium?
Speaker 2 (32:26):
O r I Drive not far from Rio right now
in February is opening Sloth World, the world's first slotherium
where you get a guided, small group experience inside a
rainforest style habitat where sloths live freely among lush trees, vines,
(32:46):
and natural climbing structures. Seventy five hundred square feet of
pure sloth.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
What's your concern?
Speaker 5 (32:53):
Deb You know what the animal welfare?
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Okay, because like as far as that interaction with human
to make it commercially viable for people to pay and
interact with them, and then what does that do for
their natural Because a lot of.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
Times when you go to like these small roadside attractions
or the malls where they'll have a quote unquote little
zoo inside. Yeah, yeah, you just can't help. But wonder
Yeah you're getting you're making a pretty penny off the tourists, but.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
That horse wants to kick your soul out.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
You're not kidding. Now. What's gonna happen is this. It's
gonna be home to more than forty sloughs across multiple species,
including a breeding program, that's gonna be on site. Oh really,
but here's the cool thing. I mean, just to quell
your okay good uh no hands on, no hands on,
it's all hands off education base giving guests a rare
(33:48):
opportunity to observe slaws in their natural habitat. You will
not be able to pet them, you can't touch them,
you can't high five them, you can't do any of
that stuff.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
They're just gonna be there for you to.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Check out and watch them kind of live and do
sloth business because they.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
Do have like that mold or like that that fungus
that grows in their fur because they move so slowly
and they live in such a tropical environment, right.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
They only come down to do what is it? They
only come out of the trees for one one or
two reasons.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
Oh that's right, I forget what it is.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
But they don't really come down.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
Did you ever and maybe pop?
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Yeah, I don't know if it's that, but they.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Give birth hanging upside they do.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
And have you ever seen that video of a guy
that's in the rainforest and a baby sloth had fallen
out of the tree, and the guy picks up the
baby sloth and holds up and the sloth grabs the
baby and just stares into this dude's eyes like they're
in love. There was just great gratitude from this sloth, yeah,
giving the baby bag. I was like, that's the coolest
(34:44):
thing ever. And then you see that sloths claws and
you're glad they move exactly. That's a dude.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
Well, and what's interesting is I recently saw on Instagram
the the rare video that they have of a sloth
giving birth and the baby literally comes out then immediately
starts to climb up the mother. Oh really, it was
fascinating to see because you know that moments after birth
you'll see horses start to stand that kind of thing.
But that climbing instinct, I mean, from the moment they
(35:11):
emerge into the world, they're already climbing up to see me.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Isn't that what marsupials do, isn't they when they when
they birth, they literally crawl into.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
Yeah, And the kangaroo baby is as big as a peanut.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
It looks like it looks like a pinky. They feed
the snake.
Speaker 5 (35:26):
Sorry, that's a terrible oh great analogy.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Terrible, but it finds the solace of the pouch and
that it does. It does all right for seven nine one. Again,
you can always text us seven seven zero three one,
And like you heard, we do have the ability to
do talk backs and we do have the texting service,
So feel free to spin your opinion over to the
show today and we are broadcasting live at Orlando Harley.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
Our entire goal.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Today is to get as many bikes as possible. What
is the foundation again, Jack.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
It is for the hol In Heights and Paramour Kid Zone.
So it's two of the areas charities that focus on
the well being of the kids in the communities for
those two areas, Holding Heights in Paramore and they've been
our beneficiar area the past few years. We worked with
the Orlando City Foundation in the City of Orlando to
(36:13):
you know, connect us with them and they you know,
they do their gift giveaway.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
I think they're doing it.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
And on December twentieth this year and last year I
mentioned earlier, Ceiland and I got to be part of
that aspect of it and it's great.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
They come through. It's a you know, families.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
And sometimes the kids are there, sometimes they're not, but
you know, when they when they get to pick out
a bike, it's pretty nagical.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
It's a lot of fun to watch kind of roll
into the room and grappling.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Or they do well, they identify they first they kind
of have to count how many bikes they raise. And
we've already exceeded what we did last year. Yeah, it
was just about two hundred. It was just shy at
two hundred bikes last year. But that was just in
you know, a four hour show. So we've expanded it
to you know, for you know, all thirteen hours of
(36:59):
our three main show.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
So we're looking at, you know, my goal.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
I would have been happy getting over three hundred. I
know at three o'clock, we were at two thirty three
and Corey, our buddy from Core Flooring Center, he's a truck. Yeah,
he's got a truck full. Oh and on the next break,
I got one in my car. I wasn't breaking it
out until our show started right right up.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Way back there.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
So the jeckt we did for it. Yeah, those two
were back there. We got to fold them into the
mix now, you know, and uh, and then we'll we
have brand and I brought in I had this one
of these those clicker counters in my door for the
past twenty years. I'm like, wait, I know what we
can use this for. So I gave it to him.
I go happy County.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
There you go real quick with the bike giveaway. You know,
I'm sure it just warms the heart to see all
those little kids so grateful and happy to have a
brand new bike to get to ride around the neighborhood
in Does it ever inspire you to drag along your
adult children just to.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Say, you know what, yeah, Jimmy went into well yeah
now And every year I start thinking it, you know,
what a great way to you know, get being more
involved on the business end of giving back in charity
and where the rubber meets the road and where the
need really is. When you witness that firsthand, I think
(38:11):
it really kind of really inspire you to make you
want to do more and realize the benefit because it's
great and believe it, it's wonderful. If you have the means,
you recognize the need, you drop it off, you do that.
But when you're there and you get to witness it,
that that's a special gift. That's the that's the payback,
that's the gift back that you get when you do it.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
And you know it's It's nice, man.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
It also warms my heart to see so many members
of the radio station out there right now putting together
bikes after being out.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Here in all day.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
I mean, Holmesy and Angel have been on property since
what five o'clock this morning.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
They have Sabrina, Handy John are putting together Speedy Weed,
and Prince of the Island is now here.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
It's up the island tainted and unclean.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
And I'm wondering how these guys sitting there much on
Hamburgers as they looked at the left and see these
people actually working, how they tell about it.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
He's got no problem a look, he's a supervisor.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
And then Orlando Sentinel Colvin and Scott Maxwell walking through
like the foreman.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Drive him, Scotty, drive him. We are at Orlando, Harley Man,
come on down. We're all just kind of hanging out here.
Like I said, a lot of the other show members
are here still, Ryan Holmes, Sabrina Angel from the Monsters,
They're all here. Handy John one of our listeners from
the onset of the show. He's an awesome guy. Scott
Maxwell on property. Kenny Talier is here as well. So
(39:32):
much cool stuff going on. Grab a bike. Come on
down Orlando Harley, donate it, feel great about yourself, and
then move on or hang out. We don't care. We
got you covered either way. Thank you.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
Wanting to see your company, that's right.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Four oh seven nine one. Text us at seven seven
zero three one back with Animiles, Kenny, tell you're we'll
do that next, Jimmy.
Speaker 8 (39:57):
My favorite part of going to Walmart and seeing the
scooter dwelling Walmart customers is observing them push the limits
of absolutely how much diet coked you can possibly fit
into one of those front baskets.
Speaker 9 (40:13):
Yeah, hey there, Colbert Show. I was wondering, hypothetically, say
a friend ordered a bike on Amazon and put it
together and realize there's no ce. Does that person still
bring it in or what do they?
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (40:29):
You know, I mean it swere I know some people
who take that bike.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Yeah. Welcome back to the Jimp Forward Show. Real Radio
one four point one broadcast you live from Orlando Harley
for the Big Bike Drive. If you can, if you
have the means, grab a bike, bring it down. We
would have a whole crew putting them together. So if
you can't find one that's already as symbol, bring it
out in a box. We got some people that will
take care of it before you. For sure. We'll be
here till seven o'clock and hopefully we'll see you with
(40:57):
a new bike soon.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
And congratulations Jimmy shamed of the man having his burger.
He and his wife If now stumps over to the
back and are now a stumbling bicycles.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Yea dev is here.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Jack is here and let's do Animal House.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
She likes them fuzzy, furry, feathery, tough and scaly. It's
time for Animal House with Roberts.
Speaker 5 (41:25):

Speaker 2 (42:15):
How this okay?
Speaker 5 (42:16):
Awesome? Awesome.
Speaker 10 (42:18):
So yeah, it's been a year since uh I adopted
her to January.
Speaker 7 (42:23):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 5 (42:24):
Well, and you know, for those do not know, I mean,
she's a pure bred Golden Retriever.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
I know.
Speaker 10 (42:28):
It's amazing when you you know, if you keep, if
you're patient and you wait, you can this is what
you can find in a shelter as long.
Speaker 7 (42:34):
As well as so many other amazing dogs.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
Yeah, she's absolutely beautiful. I gotta tell you. She makes
friends faster and a big boob woman.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
I'm sitting right here.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
Yeah, make up with Jack.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
No.
Speaker 10 (42:47):
I thought that, you know, I could bring into work today.
It's like she's loving all these people here.
Speaker 4 (42:52):
Rate this set up?
Speaker 5 (42:52):
Yeah, exactly exactly. Thanks to Orlando Harley for hosting us today.
But that's one of the beautiful things about Golden's is
they're just they're just love wrapped in.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
For really, they really are just She's just happy all
the time.
Speaker 5 (43:04):
And like you said, or were you going to say
to me like like you just said, Kenny, it goes
to show you that you can really get any kind
of breed. If you're patient and you want something specific,
you may have to wait a little bit longer, but
anything that you want you'll be able to find pretty
much at the pedal lines, right.
Speaker 10 (43:19):
Be like Jim and always look at our website and
check out all the photos and windows shop until you're like,
wait a minute, there's one I want, and then come
visit us and adopt.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
That's exactly what I do too, by the way I do.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
How about I don't know what's every couple of weeks,
I'll slide over see what's available.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
You really, you never know, man, You never.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
Know exactly might find your next love. And speaking of that, Kenny,
we are in the holiday season and maybe there are
you know, a lot of families out there that would
like to adopt their next for baby, and you guys
are making it a pretty easy for them to do that.
Speaker 10 (43:48):
Well, yeah, this is a great week to be here,
so I can talk about that. We're having an adoption
special going on. We're partnering with Hills Pet and they
are sponsoring adoption fees for all adult dogs and all
adult cats. So dogs that have an adoption fee of
seventy five dollars, it's covered cats with adoption fee at
fifty dollars, it's covered.
Speaker 11 (44:06):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (44:06):
Wow, And that's not all right that these animals come with.
Speaker 10 (44:10):
They're already up to date on all their shots, their spade,
they're neuter, they have microchips.
Speaker 7 (44:14):
They are so ready for their forever home.
Speaker 5 (44:16):
So there's really don't let costs be a factor about
that exactly.
Speaker 10 (44:19):
And then also Hill's Pet is also supplying adoption packs, so.
Speaker 4 (44:23):
They go home with goodies.
Speaker 10 (44:25):
It's just the win win, and it's going It's been
happening all week long.
Speaker 7 (44:28):
Saturday is the final day.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Hey, you know we've talked about the adopting thing during
holidays and during special times and stuff. And I know
that you guys as a rule, you know, don't really
like people adopting a pet for somebody else.
Speaker 7 (44:39):
Right, it's always a good idea.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
Yeah, how do you guys manage that?
Speaker 2 (44:42):
I mean, that's an interesting concept, But how do you
manage that when somebody comes in and there adopting a
dog and you know, do you I mean, during the
summer of year, you guys are learning questions you ask you.
Speaker 10 (44:51):
We've got a really good adoption application that they go
through and sometimes if you answer a question it's a
little red flag on our end, and so well that
will follow up. But if someone's looking for a present
for someone, let's make sure the person that they're giving
this pet too is aware. And if they are aware
of then great, you know what this this dogg or
cat or puppy or kitten would love her forever home
with you.
Speaker 7 (45:12):
But don't surprise him. Right then maybe they said they
wanted a pet.
Speaker 5 (45:16):
Ye, so last time you had Georgina and she was
looking for cake. Sorry, now she's trying to gank Jack's banana. Yeah,
that did sound that's a little bit healthier, right, that
did not sound right?
Speaker 10 (45:26):
Well, I did say she would work for food earlier,
and I didn't lie.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
I tell you it's not the only furry woman. I mean,
this guy worked in clubs. Come on, now, he was
a target for women.
Speaker 5 (45:47):
Now, Kenny, speaking of a traveling in the holidays, you know,
everyone's talking about affordability. Everybody is talking about how things
are just so expensive. And of course I know one
of the missions of the Petal Lions is to help
families keep their pets at home, and that means helping
with some some of the expenses. So what else are
you guys offering to help families as holidays, right, So.
Speaker 10 (46:08):
Like it's like, you know, like everyone that gets adopted
they're all up to date on shots, but you know
you have to annually go back and get shots for
your pets. We have two low cost clinics that that
help out with the public so that you know, people
can get their raby shots or their annual vaccines, or
help with.
Speaker 5 (46:26):
Distemper the flea medication.
Speaker 10 (46:28):
Thank you so many pointing at myself like yeah, exactly
apply it right here, preventing exactly advantage.
Speaker 4 (46:37):
I know, let's play charades.
Speaker 10 (46:39):
But but we do offer it at a low cost, and
it's available to the public, and you know, you can
go on the website.
Speaker 7 (46:47):
We even have the pricing available for you.
Speaker 10 (46:49):
But like you said, you know, people are traveling through
the holidays right now or they're boarding their pets, and
you have to have your vaccines updated. So if you're
not updated yet, now's the time to get shots for pets.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Take any when people come in Canny Tale, you're here
by the way from the Peed Alliance of Great Orlando.
When people come in and you know they're like, hey,
we want to adopt a dog. Let's say they come in,
they get a family, you know, one young child and
you know a medium kid that maybe one as a teenager.
Do you guys have somebody there that like can make suggestions.
Maybe they they're looking at a breed that maybe you
don't think it fits their scenario, so well, do you
(47:20):
guys have people to kind of, you know, counsel them
a little bit on what the best breed for them
may be or is that something you got to stay
away from. No.
Speaker 10 (47:26):
I love that you asked that, because not only do
we have sharing staff that knows the personalities of all
of our pets, we also have volunteers to spend a
lot of time with them. So when people come in
and they're like, I'm looking for this, we kind of
know which way to guide them and suggest animals to
them and then spend time with you.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
Yeah, because I mean when you find out maybe they
live in a smaller house, maybe they live in an
area that has a lot of area to run as
opposed to an apartment. I mean all of that really
comes into play. Because you may see a dog that
your friend has and maybe it's an Australian Shepherd dog
or whatever.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
You're like, I want one of those because they're cool.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
They're eiser to color, not realizing those things can run
flat out for ten straight miles, not even breathing hard,
and you really have to work them a lot. It's
opposed to like a mastiff that you don't do any
of that with. So I think it's super important to
consider all that.
Speaker 4 (48:11):
It really is.
Speaker 7 (48:11):
And like, I love that you mentioned those two breeds.
Speaker 4 (48:13):
One is a couch potato.
Speaker 10 (48:15):
One is just an energizer bunny, right, And like the
energizer bunny, like maybe a condo wouldn't be the best
home for him because they love the backyard. But if
you're an active person, then great, take them for lots
of walks.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
As a matter of fact, I got introduced to mastiffs,
which was my favorite dog ever.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
Might dog next her because he's such a great dog.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
My wife had one and she says they're called apartment
dogs for that very reason. You don't really matter of fact,
if you look at the breed, they tell you not
to over exercise them because they're hits in their legs
don't really are built for that. They're powerful, they're right,
they're built for streak, not like endurance.
Speaker 7 (48:46):
You know now that they're great breeds. They really are, though.
You just need a really big couch for them.
Speaker 10 (48:51):
Yeah, exactly, because they will take up the entire space
and be like you're on the floor, jam.
Speaker 4 (48:55):
If my couch I mean wallet? Yes, skinning your list?
Speaker 5 (48:59):
Well, you know that is because someone like myself who's
not a runner, is not going to go and adopt
a Belgian melanlong right, any high energy breed. You have
to be honest about your lifestyle before you bring that
animal home, because if it's not compatible, it's it's going
to be a tough go and you don't want that
for yourself or your pet.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
And even some of those smaller dogs get sketched out
by kids, you know.
Speaker 4 (49:19):
We just found that out about my dog.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
So my wife's best friend has a child that I
think she's like nine, right, eight or nine. My dog
sees big people all the time, you know, because it's
only us, we don't have like kids in the house.
She came over to visit last week, and my dog
is horrified of this young person who's never done anything
to her. But because she's so different and small, she
(49:42):
doesn't know how to like take her, and it really
kind of it's kind of trippy so I know some
of those smaller breeds are are kind of particular, and
you gotta make sure you have the right scenario for them, right.
Speaker 10 (49:52):
Because they're not used to the size, and kids move
quicker than we do, you know. Yeah, so, and they're
louder and they're more animated, and so the dogs are like, whoa,
what is this if.
Speaker 7 (50:02):
They're not used to it? But yeah, you're right, the
smaller reads sometimes.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
Now, if your kids are in middle school and you
want them bitten, I got it completely understanding, because middle
schoolers are the worst people on the planet. They are.
Speaker 5 (50:15):
He's like, don't get me in trouble. We'll take the
heat for that one.
Speaker 7 (50:18):
That's okay, I'll just smile and laugh.
Speaker 5 (50:21):
Well, we talked about what you guys are doing for
the community over the holidays, But what can the community
do to help the ped Alliance of Greater Orlando. What
kind of support could you could you use?
Speaker 10 (50:31):
You know, I mean you can always We're always needing donations.
We're a nonprofit right now, just updated it. We've you know,
our wish list. If people are out shopping, they're online
shopping and they're like, okay, I'm done my Christmas shopping,
but maybe I want to buy something for shelter pets,
you know, go to our website ped Alliance Orlando dot
org click on wish list.
Speaker 7 (50:49):
We need a lot of stuff right now for behavior
and enrichment.
Speaker 10 (50:53):
Which is to keep the pets occupied until they find
it forever home.
Speaker 7 (50:56):
A lot of items there.
Speaker 10 (50:58):
And then also if you want to support your your
favorite shelter while you're out walking around, we've got merch
available that totally proceeds all the proceeds to horn honk corn.
Speaker 5 (51:09):
Jack.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Just flash we.
Speaker 5 (51:12):
They just bought a hat.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
They just bought a hat.
Speaker 10 (51:14):
Nice, but yeah, we have merch that does benefit the pets,
which is great.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (51:17):
Well, and give us just an example when you talk
in Richmond. And obviously that's to keep the pets in
a good state of mind, good here so that they're
showing off their best selves when they're forever families.
Speaker 10 (51:27):
Right, So there's fun toys that you can get them
to keep them occupied.
Speaker 7 (51:30):
Of course they want the little training treats. They love
those also, like Martin Gale collars are really great.
Speaker 10 (51:37):
Because it just we'll we're trying to teach them how
to walk well on the leash before they go there first.
Speaker 5 (51:41):
Yeah, yeah, So where do folks go to see all
of this information including photos of adult dogs and cats
that are able to get adopted. You said, adoption fees
covered through this Saturday.
Speaker 10 (51:51):
This Saturday thanks to Hills Pet and yeah to go
to our wish list, to check out our merch and
to see all the amazing animals that are available for adoption,
go to pet line.
Speaker 7 (52:00):
It's Orlando dot org.
Speaker 5 (52:01):

Speaker 7 (52:11):
She's like, I know, She's like, where's my banana?
Speaker 5 (52:13):
Exactly? Jack had to move like his lunchback three or
four times. She was like, I'm getting that banana.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
Kenny always goot see you buy. Thank And that's pet

stuff going on as well. And I heard from our volunteers.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
If people want to volunteers to put together bikes, we
still have plenty of bikes to be put together.

Uh.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
Shout out to not only Kayla Prince of the Island,
Speedy Weenie Ali Is They're all putting together and.

All right, four seven four to one, welcome back. I'm
Jim Devin Jacker here as well, and so is a
writer from Lee Orlando sitting all. You can read his
columns Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sunday's giving up good loud for
mister Scott Maxwell.
Speaker 4 (55:52):
Just so I'm clear, you're not expecting any manual labor. No, no, no, no,
you didn't tell I'll dare you assume that I would
assume that.
Speaker 13 (55:59):
Yeah, I mean, you don't go in the newspaper expecting
to lift anything, anything and create anything to benefit.
Speaker 4 (56:05):
Society on site. Maxwell, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (56:09):
We actually just got lucky, did we not.
Speaker 4 (56:11):
I was out and about and I thought what would
be more fun.
Speaker 13 (56:13):
I gotta tell you what is gonna get you more
in the Christmas spirit than this place. You got hundreds
of bikes and it's like Santa's workshop out there.
Speaker 4 (56:21):
And by the way, I mean, I'm gonna tell you straight.
Speaker 13 (56:22):
Though, Angels like a seven foot Tallilo.
Speaker 2 (56:26):
But when you think about it, I mean these guys
like you know, Ryan and Angel have been here since
five o'clock this morning, you know, doing their show and
still here on property putting together bike. So it was
riding home. Sabrina's here from the New Junkie, I like
said Danny Myering, we'll hear it from her tomorrow for
her bit.
Speaker 4 (56:41):
Prince of the Island. You hear him calling our show
all the time.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
He's also up there, Kayla Pinkman from uh from the
News Junkie. Of course he was on the show with
him today. Plus he is Joseph Martin's with Sunday Morning
coming down. It is a team effort. Our Rep Alley
is out here doing it as well. So just a
team effort here at already one or four point one
to fulfill these bike board and we couldn't be happy.
I think Danny brought baby date night with it as well.
(57:06):
The result of date Night that's going on with you, buddy.
We had an office party today at the Orlando did
you really Yes?
Speaker 13 (57:17):
If you drive down Lee Road and you think about
one of those like buildings that was built in the
nineteen seventies, you know.
Speaker 5 (57:25):
Oh, the ones you always think host telemarketers.
Speaker 4 (57:27):
Yeah, the one.
Speaker 13 (57:28):
There's class A, there's Class B office space. Yeah, this
is class as bestos. Yeah no, yeah, we're we are
a smaller group. But we had a pot luck today.
Most people made things.
Speaker 10 (57:41):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
I was out of town, so I brought some Gideon's Cookie.
Speaker 4 (57:44):
I think there's hard Yeah, you win.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
You spent the most. Yeah, right about that? Anybody else
bought you spent the most? Lord cookies like six buggs
of Bees or something? Are they six plus? Yeah? Six
is the basic? Yeah, weak seasonal, but they're tasty. Oh
my god, I remember being in line something No, no,
the one that's uh uh in bald when over there right,
I was in line and somebody had never been there.
(58:09):
A girl was bringing her mom there, and uh, the
line was out the door because at Gideon, for a
long time they only made a certain amount. And they
told you right up front, we made like two hundred
cookies a day.
Speaker 4 (58:18):
And wh they're so loud.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
We just shut the clock. We shut it down and
we go home. We've we've accomplished. And the guy was
was defiant. He would not make anymore. He didn't want
to be that guy. He wanted to sell those cookies
so they would be really good at all times. Then
Disney money got him. But either way, this line would
be out the door. And this woman, this woman looked
at her daughter and said, are you kidding? We're waiting
(58:39):
in line for half an hour for a cookie, for
a six dollar cookie. And the girl said, you just
have to understand this. So she gets the cookie. She
gets four cookies, right, two chocolate chip and that one
thing that they have, like the pistachio.
Speaker 4 (58:52):
Face, is the greatest, That is one of the greatest.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
Food items on earth, That pistachio chocolate chip cookie at
Gettings is a game changing pastry. I don't care what
you say.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
She handed her mom in the box with four cookies
and you can see her hands drives. Those four cookies
were like eight pounds.
Speaker 2 (59:08):
Another thing I like, And they may have changed this,
but years ago I went to look up the nutritional
information that. Yeah, well they actually sat on their website.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
If you're looking, you don't need the right you should
avoid our product. Just don't eat it. If you hear
about that, this is where diet's going to die.
Speaker 2 (59:24):
Yeah. Good, It's like it's like a thing, a cookie
dough man. I was just talking to Scott right before
we came on the air. Beth Gasab a former writer
of the Orlando Signal End of Mine. Yes, yeah, a good,
good person. Love watching her on Facebook. She was doing
some stuff because they were you know, the Sentinel building,
of course, was in the news last week as they
started to finally develop that property.
Speaker 5 (59:45):
I did realized it was two.
Speaker 2 (59:48):
Twenty eight is ridiculous. I mean, the value of that
where it is is I can't even imagine what that
property is worth. But she kind of did a little
retrospecting of when she was there sitting on I felt
bad for you guys, man, I really did. I mean
for you guys who you know that's the paper that
kind of built Orlando. And you know, looking at those
photographs of the press pit and the press is gone
(01:00:11):
and the writer's pit and you know, all that stuff
is in disarray and stuff, it was kind of a
wild feeling. I really felt bad for you guys. It
was just kind of a wild thing.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:00:19):
I didn't know you invited me down here for the
Ghosts of Careers Past episode, but yeah, no, uh, it was.
Speaker 10 (01:00:30):
It was.
Speaker 4 (01:00:31):
Yeah, that's what he would warn you, don't go into newspapers.
Speaker 13 (01:00:37):
That building was gigantic. It was the size of them all.
The printing press was four stories tall. And as you said,
it was two city blocks, two New York city blocks.
And I was telling Jim when I started, there were
hundreds of people employed there. We had a parking lot
that had like four hundred spaces and if you got
there after nine or ten am, you were out.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Of a parking space. Really yeah, crazy that man.
Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
Our office party today had about forty people. Yeah, that's
like a radio. I mean we had two hundred day
I've walked through your offices.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
I know what it, yeah, which at one point I
was just asking Rakel the other day, who is like
the queen of everything at iHeartRadio and Orlando. That's a
good title, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:01:16):
It is, because she is.
Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
And I think at one point we had about two
hundred and thirty five employees and I think right now
we have about sixty five or something like that. So
it's just the businesses is changing. I mean, you know,
it is a change. You know, it's just how it is.
Speaker 13 (01:01:29):
But you know what, I think that and all four
of us have been doing this for a long time time.
And the reason we're in it it's not I mean,
it's not for the well maybe it's for the money.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Guy you hold me that I had to read the room.
Yeah yeah, oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
One hundred dollars still means a lot over here.
Speaker 13 (01:01:49):
Yeah, Jack, I have the worst car of all of us.
But uh, I mean I could do something else, but
I believe it. Yeah, it's it's in my blood. It's
a for better or for worse, and uh, you know what,
and we all get have one thing we have in
common is nobody tells us what to say or what
to do. And there you say, you can't put a
(01:02:09):
price on freedom I talk to. I hear from people
every day who say thank you for saying the things
I can't, And I say, well, why can't you? And
they're like, oh, I wouldn't be able to keep my
job if I did. But I mean, there's a lot
of problems, and I think that one of the missions
of newspapers is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
Yes, yes, And that's why even if you went from
two city blocks, you know, and now you have sixty people,
those sixty people, I hope they hang on as long
as they can because that's the difference maker.
Speaker 13 (01:02:40):
Now we've got some mean, maybe we've got some loyal
readers that have been yeah, I mean since we were
the Central Star. Yeah, that have been reading. It's part
of their daily routine. And I feel an obligation sometimes
too much of one of the truth be told. It's
a little stress and not to sound too you know,
self pitying, but I mean I worked about eighty hours
a week and it's because we don't.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
I still believe in what I.
Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
Do, yeah, man, And and we're glad to welse.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
When you write like Wednesdays and Thursdays and Sundays, the
very first thing I do is go and read your column.
That's the first thing I do in the morning is
read your column. For one thing. On Thursday or on Wednesdays,
when you're gonna be here, I've got you read it
because that's what we're talking about. But even outside of that,
you know, I read it simply because I know you
well enough to know that you don't you know, play
happenstance with the truth. And if you're out there reporting,
you know you're out there reporting on it. You're doing
(01:03:28):
it because it means something for our community. And that's
the thing I love.
Speaker 13 (01:03:31):
And you know, I get to do great things. Also
last week, you know, one of the things I did
is I went down and sat in the courtroom where
the Tommy Ziggler trial. Let's go, Wow, that was that vard, right,
And I've I've written about this case I don't know
how many times over the course of a decade or two, right, But.
Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
Finally I decided, well, there's a hearing on it. I
want to go see it. And the people involved.
Speaker 13 (01:03:52):
Tommy Ziggler is like eighty years old, been on death
row for fifty forty nine, half a century long, serving
death row.
Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
Behind him is a cousin who was involved in the case.
Speaker 13 (01:04:03):
She's eighty something, she's been to every hearing. In front
of me is two relatives of the victims and their eighties.
Sitting next to him is his eighty three year old
attorney who has been fighting, who lost the first case.
Speaker 4 (01:04:16):
When he's doing it, and uh, I mean, that's it's fun.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Isn't the right word.
Speaker 13 (01:04:20):
But it's fascinating to be on the front lines of
history to see that going on. I mean, that's a
fascinating case. A lot of people have strong opinions. They
say he's guilty, he's innocent. I don't even think I
have a strong opinion. What I do have is an
opinion that after fifty years, if we're still not sure
and there's still a lot of questions, yes, maybe we
shouldn't be executing this man. And there are some weird
(01:04:42):
things about this case, including you may remember the jury
didn't originally convict him.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
The judge ordered one of the jurors gave her a
valuable he.
Speaker 13 (01:04:51):
Said take this and then then come back, and she's like, okay,
now I agree, and the judge the jury originally said.
Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
It wasn't wasn't wasn't taken off the bench for giving
a jury value.
Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
And is that judge here by the chance to do anymore.
Speaker 13 (01:05:05):
I mean, he's not alive anymore. But Tommy Ziggler had
said before the trial begain. He began, this judge doesn't
like me. We were involved in another case and we
were on opposite sides. He shouldn't be presiding. Oh he
got but but I even had got into the big one.
At the end of the whole case, they did convict him,
but the jury said he is not eligible for the
death penalty. The judge of ruldom, you can't even do
(01:05:27):
that in most states, you can't do that anymore. The
jury said he deserves life in prison.
Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
Judge said, nah, kill him now.
Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
And for people.
Speaker 4 (01:05:37):
He was charged with killing four people in.
Speaker 13 (01:05:39):
His furniture store, his wife and their parents, and and
and yeah, and a customer. And the prosecutor said that
it was a plot by Tommy, who had recently taken
out an insurance policy on his wife, basically for money.
And Tommy said it was a fuilure. Call him, Tommy,
he's like older than my grant, my mother.
Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
Now.
Speaker 13 (01:06:00):
Tommy said that he was there when somebody came in
and tried to rob the elevate excuse me, robbed the
furniture store at Winter Gardens where it took and shot
him and he was shot in the stomach. Cops, he
shot himself, he says, you go. So anyway, there's a
lot there's been a lot of discrepancy. But just now,
fifty years after this crime on Christmas Eve, we're almost
at the anniversary. Actually, yeah, nineteen seventy four. It was
(01:06:23):
fifty years after that crime. They're still getting back DNA
of it. It was never tested.
Speaker 4 (01:06:28):
That's the thing that kills me the most.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Of course.
Speaker 5 (01:06:29):
I was just about to say the same thing.
Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
That is the exonerator. I mean, DNA is the exonerator.
There is no great area with DNA.
Speaker 4 (01:06:36):
It is or it is not.
Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
And that's the part that throws the big branch in
it for me, because some of the other stuff is
kind of sketchy, being honest. You know, who robs an
effing furniture store? Are they known for having tons of
cash on a good I even thought about that. Who
robs a furniture store? They're not known for having a
bunch of cash. Most furnitures financed even back in the
day most furniture was financed. It's weird that there's a
furniture store robbery for one thing, and then secondly some
of the other stuff was kind of sketch as well.
(01:06:59):
The insurance company the man with the DNA comes back
and there's no match. I mean, there's no way to
prove that the guy shot himself. I don't did they
do powder on his hand.
Speaker 13 (01:07:06):
One of the things that they came back is they
basically said that none of the victim's bloods that Tommy
said that the prosecutor said he physically attacked had there
was none of it on his only his saying you can't.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
You can't kill somebody in this kind of violent way
and not have anything.
Speaker 13 (01:07:22):
But then also to listen to some of this, they
got a prosecutor, I mean, they got an investigator who's
saying this was slot shot, shoddy police work, and they say, well,
were you an expert on Winter Garden police protocol in
nineteen seventy four, I was sitting in the corner thinking, who.
Speaker 4 (01:07:37):
The hell is a nice pert? I mean, really, who
are you going to get to testify in.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
Twenty twenty five about what Winter Garden was supposed to
be doing in nineteen seventy four. And by the way,
why is Winter Gardens policeporer call different than any other
police That's actually what the that's actually what the detective said.
He said, there's no other universal way you collect evidence.
Speaker 13 (01:07:55):
And there were weird things like the shirt evidence that
Tommy had on, like one of the officers, I just
took it home.
Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Yeah, yeah, took it home souvenir.
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
And and so he's like, that's gonna be a famous case.
Speaker 13 (01:08:09):
And then and then the guy it says, well, that's
not standard protocol. And then the prosecutor says, well, was
that not standard protocol? And maybe it's not in Miami
in twenty twenty four? What about Winter Garden? He's like,
I don't think that's standard protocol anyway.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
How about taking wind guard saying evidence protocol? Y this
evidence protocol, say cops take stuff home.
Speaker 13 (01:08:28):
But the bottom line is when you're sitting there and thinking, man,
we are watching half a century later and we're still
not one hundred percent sure.
Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Uh, that makes me uncomfortable. And what does it even matter.
He's eighty five years older. They still seeking but this
guy to death at eight oh absolute absolutely on oxygen already.
This guy's been dead for years on.
Speaker 13 (01:08:44):
Oxygen in a wheelchair, on ninety some pounds, ninety five pounds.
Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
Oh yeah, yeah, right, yeah, hey, look, I look, I
mean you and I. You know, of all the things
that we agree about and see id I on you
and I disagree by the death penalty. But even in
this case, I would think this guy is dead. I
mean they they have taken his life from him. He
is dead.
Speaker 13 (01:09:00):
The other thing that would appeal to you, and one
reason there is a growing movement conservatives is that it's
expensive and the amount of money that's actually that's probably
how I'm going to begin my column that I'm writing
about this on Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:09:12):
I counted all the people that were in the courtroom.
There's a swat team that was there. There's a bailiff,
there's uh.
Speaker 13 (01:09:20):
It's actually it's a third team, the special but yeah,
it's basically the equivalent of Yeah, there were three that
that at least three of them that transport him from there.
Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
There's deputies, there's the judge, there's the court reporters.
Speaker 13 (01:09:31):
There's four sets of prosecutors, two from the state to
the local office, two from up there, a firm up
in New York has spent millions of dollars in pro
bono defending him. But the amount of money that the
state and the has spent on this is millions, millions
of dollars.
Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
And yet you know, you have Monique Morrel at one point,
you know, ruling that no, this evidence doesn't need to
be retested. I'm with Jimmy. I think let the science
be the final say. If there's evidence that still hasn't
been been tested, surely in twenty twenty five and.
Speaker 13 (01:10:01):
Two years ago, prosecutors were still arguing not to test
the evidence. Yea, and exactly that kind of broke my
brain would make any sense.
Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
There was an argument.
Speaker 13 (01:10:11):
That it's, uh, it was already a conclusive conviction, so
we don't need to that. Everybody would ask for more
evidence to be tested.
Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
Well, if I was on death row and I thought it.
Speaker 5 (01:10:19):
An exambery, yes, yeah, more testing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:22):
Yeah, you know fun over here. Hello, I'm gonna be
protest at that point, exactly to test junkie at that point. Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:10:31):
So, I mean that's fast. I'm right about that for Sunday.
But those stories, I mean, it's interesting. I love hearing
from people.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
And so also, we'll momer you on time that were
about it? Were fine? Don't you tell me that. You
don't tell me that, I'll tell you when we're here.
Speaker 4 (01:10:47):
I'm taking better orders of the dog.
Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
You're never gonna talk about your best things to make
Orlando great the hundred line.
Speaker 4 (01:10:54):
Oh yeah, You're never gonna do that, because I think
you're either out that week or.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:57):
Would you like what didn't you like? It was on
the cruise?
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
I was gonna ask you not about not about the
list per se, but how long does it take you
to to compile that? What what comes into play for that?
Speaker 4 (01:11:08):
For you?
Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Do people pitch you for that? I mean, how's that?
And how did that come about? By the way, it's
one of your more more red and famous columns of
a year.
Speaker 13 (01:11:16):
I don't know I was doing something. I don't remember
how it came about. It's been fifteen years now. Gosh,
I should come up fake something a good story about it.
But I started just pitching it out there. When you
ask how to do people come up with it? Yes,
they come up with it. And I have gotten over
the like in the year, I will get a thousand
suggestions and I get them for your Facebook, I get
(01:11:36):
them for your Twitter, I get them email, I get
the and I compile them all into a file.
Speaker 4 (01:11:41):
I do all this.
Speaker 13 (01:11:41):
I wish I had an assistant. And the file is
you know, ten feet tall. And then I just start editing,
you know, duplications.
Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
Get rid of there.
Speaker 13 (01:11:50):
If there's a lot of push, like like one of
the things that a lot of people, more people voted
for this year than anything else.
Speaker 4 (01:11:56):
I don't even know if you've ever been there, Orlando
Wetlands Park.
Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Have you ever out there? Is that the Awka thing?
Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
The driveway, it's out in East Store Old East or
Land there.
Speaker 13 (01:12:03):
Yeah, I would say that I got more boats than
anything else. I'll be damn yeah. And and the birds
out there are kind of crazy. Everything if you name it,
there's anyway.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
But the reason I asked is I figured there'd be
at least two or three or four or ten politicians
that would have their aids type you a quick note saying, hey,
you know, my guy, my I did this this year.
Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
My guy did this year.
Speaker 13 (01:12:25):
I never I do two things. The other list I
do every year is ten people who make more Land
to a better place. And in both of those I
vow no politicans. No, politicians, I don't care. Even if
I like you, that's not what I that's not what
I want. I have had people nominate themselves for I'd.
Speaker 4 (01:12:41):
Like to stop. You're not supposed to reveal that I'm
one of the best people. It doesn't work.
Speaker 13 (01:12:47):
And there's a few I usually try to throw a
few unique food things out there that maybe people haven't tried.
This year it was the plantain pancakes of lamp and Shade.
I don't know if you've ever had those. No, I
haven't ever eaten there.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Every time I try to go there, I don't have
any seats. Like Yeah, I've literally tried to go there
three times. I can't find a reservation. We'll get you,
We'll get you. No, I just make a reservation. Well,
you know, sometimes we're procrastinators. We'll wait for the day before. Inevitably,
the last the three times we fried, there was nothing there.
Speaker 13 (01:13:17):
It's tough with coconut whipped cream, and it's uh. Amy
Drew wrote about it. I went and tasted and thought
it was solid, very nice.
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
When it comes to your list for the things in Orlando,
do you think make it great? Do you have a
personal list? Can you give me a couple of those
radio But you think about other dishes. I've put the
ravenous pigs old Fashionable. Oh my god, it's so good,
the vanilla maple bacon. Everything in that building is great.
But I mean, yeah, that's really really good. I liked.
Speaker 4 (01:13:47):
I like the traditions. I like the parades.
Speaker 13 (01:13:49):
I like the fact that there are so many little
dorky hometown parade and I've seed them, and those are
the best.
Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
They're the best. They're like the best in show, isn't
it is?
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
Might I suggest Geneva's next time you want to step
out into that.
Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
Rural area and see. Do I need a Confederate? You
do not need Okay, you need a.
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
Seat and a gun. It's just very interesting. By the way,
I'll give you another food heads up for you. Won't
get you out of you all right, No, I'm good.
All right, here's what you gotta do one?
Speaker 4 (01:14:20):
Oh no, you gotta go.
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
I hope they still do this because they've done this
for years and they only do it during the time
of year. If you want the single best hot chocolate
that you will ever have on near your life, that's
what I'd like. And it's close to you, but to
black Rooster Tacorea hot chocolate. Black Rooster Tacorea makes a
(01:14:45):
Mexican chocolate hot chocolate, a true hot chocolate from like
you know, because you realize that you know chocolate. We
were in Cosmelo for that cruise thing, and we like
actually took the beans and roasted them and made our
own chocolate and who nine yards. It is a completely
different machine. You will never in your life drink anything
like that. It is. It is a gate.
Speaker 4 (01:15:04):
It is a Gideon's cookie and a cup.
Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
I may get it on my way home if they
if they're serving because sometimes like it's like a it's
only a seasonal thing. They only make it a little
bit of day and you got to get in there
and get it. But we've had it two years. I'm
telling you, my wife and I. When we drink it,
your eyes roll back in your head. It is a
completely different machine. All right.
Speaker 4 (01:15:21):
I will try and I also don't sleep on their
glock of molar.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
Oh everything in that place is great. I mean everything
in that Takaria is absolutely great. It's unbelievable that that
that port troller thing they have as well.
Speaker 5 (01:15:31):
God dog, you know, it's interesting because people you know,
Columbia is known for coffee, right right, But actually the
drink that you have in the afternoon is hot chalk.
Speaker 4 (01:15:38):
It is Yeah, that's a traditional drink at Columbia.
Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
It's hot chocolate. And there's a special pot in this
wooden spindle that you use and you boil the milk
and then you put these bars of chocolate in. It's
it is.
Speaker 4 (01:15:48):
Maybe that needs to be on next year's list. You
do it, I think so I'm gonna go try it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
You should call them and see if they have it. Seriously,
when you get out of your car, just give them
a buzz and see if they're serving it, and then
go get something. I will try it all I can
and I might get it to He's got.
Speaker 5 (01:16:01):
A gideon Cookie in there that needs Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:16:05):
I'm gonna consume about twenty two hundred.
Speaker 13 (01:16:07):
I made a down payment on a Gideon's cookie and
now I'm gonna consume about three thousand calories and chocolate.
Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
You guys, get it up your back. Yeah, seven six
four one down at Orlando, Harley, the Big Bike Drive continues.
Guys will be here till seven o'clock tonight. Don't let
anything scarry you away. We have plenty of bikes here,
plenty of people to put your bikes together. Come on down,
brand new bike right here, Orlando Harley. The bike drive
is going. We would like to get the three hundred bikes.
Were not that far away, guys, so we only need
(01:16:33):
a few of you to get activated and come on
down with a new bike at Orlando Harley Davidson back
in a second with more than Jim Colbert Show. Hey,
Colbert Cruz just dropped off a bike a little bit ago.
(01:16:54):
First time participating. What a great event. I think I'm
gonna make it my annual thing.
Speaker 8 (01:16:59):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
I've done angel trees in the past. Nothing to disparage them,
but I kind of got rattled last year.
Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
Because the tagget on the taget requested Amelia Earhart, Barbie Doll.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
I couldn't find one anywhere. Why didn't you say, Hey, dude,
I hate that man a right. Welcome back to the
Jim Colbert Show, Real Radio one oh four point one.
We are broadcasting live for Orlando. Harley. That finds you
women did the right thing, wrote a bike down and
if you have the means to do so, We'll be
here till seven o'clock. Look I know you work until
(01:17:32):
five five point thirty, but we will have time to
accept our bicycle. So please, if you can come on down,
bring a bike. We have a sea of them in
front of us, a couple of hundred. We would love
to make it to three hundred. And if you can
only find one that isn't put together. I'm looking at
Angel Rivera from the Monsters in the morning right now.
This guy is dying to turn a wrench. He can't wait,
(01:17:53):
he can't wait. He wrenches everywhere. This guy's a wrench monkey,
loves it. He wants to be out here all nine
or ten o'clock. We were just talking about we were
just talking to the dealership. He goes, Look, if you
can keep me out here all night, Jimmy, i'd really
love it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:06):
I didn't bring a jacket.
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
I'm freezing, and because of how tall he is, his
head is actually colder than his feet.
Speaker 4 (01:18:13):
It's up in the atmisphere.
Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
It's been one heck of a day because they start
at six am. Obviously they have to be here earlier
to set up yea and they so they've experienced all
the different weather. During the news junkie was bright and
so it was actually hot. It was wet and now
it's getting a little chili when it's overcast. But it's
neat seeing all the tassels and streamers on the handlebars
of the bicycles just blowing in the wind, looking out
(01:18:38):
at two hundred and forty nine bikes.
Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
Right now, Kay is here or Betty, Remy is here,
some reps are here, Bruce and Ali are here doing
their thing. So you guys come on down Orlando, Harley Davidson.
We'd love to see when the new bike will be
here at seven o'clock. We do have a special guest
with us though.
Speaker 3 (01:18:55):
We do, and it's one of our co sponsors for
this event. He gave us the core Floor that area
which has never been more in use than this year's
bike drive.
Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
We're gonna wear a hole in the thing.
Speaker 4 (01:19:06):
Wow, I can't.
Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
I can't believe how that worked out. And it is Corey,
owner of Core Floor Center, big big fan of Corey
he U. But this Matt I was like, well, we
need a narrative to do bikes because each year it
seems more and more people bring him in a box
and so all and then we had one company that
brought I think like forty eight of them in a box,
which was fantastic. And but we have a half dozen
(01:19:30):
or even more volunteers working feverishly in the core flooring
assembly area.
Speaker 2 (01:19:35):
Yes, Corey, how's it going, buddy, that's going great. Thank
you for having me. Yeah, man, thanks for coming out,
Thanks for providing the I just when the minute Jack
was saying that, a couple of the reps are around
and just said, yeah, thank you so much. We would
be doing this on the cold ass concrete right now.
Speaker 4 (01:19:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
If it wasn't for that, Yeah, you're welcome. Yeah. How
long you've been in business? I've been in business about
a year and a half. About a year and a half. Now,
what did you do before flooring? I've been doing flooring
for about twenty four years now, Oh have you rid? Yeah?
So were you with somebody else before you open your.
Speaker 14 (01:20:00):
About seventeen years? And then decided to open my own
store and do my own thing.
Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
That's interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:20:04):
What caused that? Because you know, it's so funny our
buddy Leon Mills at Mills Are You know, when you
talk to him about the onus of his business, he
would tell you he just didn't like the way the dude,
was he was working with did it? So he just
stepped out on his own thought he could do a
better job or buy a better service at a better price,
and built his business from that concept.
Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
And is that where you are?
Speaker 2 (01:20:21):
Pretty much all that I knew I could do a
better job.
Speaker 5 (01:20:24):
Yeah, that tells you a lot right there.
Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
I mean with the tariff thing, has it been difficult
for you to supply stuff? Or is a lot of
your stuff come from a Maria? I mean, how does
that work out your supply chain? I do sell a
lot of stuff made in the US.
Speaker 14 (01:20:35):
Some of our accessories are made overseas, which has been
hit by the tariffs. Right, supply chain hasn't been really
all that bad.
Speaker 2 (01:20:42):
That's good.
Speaker 14 (01:20:43):
Prices have gone up a little bit unfortunately, But as
far as you know, most of the stuff I make
or I sell is made in the US.
Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:20:50):
Yeah, what are you selling a lot of right now?
Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
That's interesting because you know, my wife is not an
interior designer by trade, but she has a real knack
for it. And we have noticed though because you you
kind of I don't know, you know that my wife
and I for a while have bought and refurnished and flip.
But we live in and we don't. We're not doing
quick flippers. We're not putting up factor you know, contractor
paint or baseboards. We're doing nice jobs for these people.
Are you for our homes? But we have noticed that
(01:21:13):
the flooring game has changed dramatically. Now. You used to
have like maybe three or four choices. It was hardwood,
or it was tile, or it was laminate, and those
were your choices. But man, they have peeling stick stuff
now that looks like it cost three hundred dollars a
square foot.
Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Sure, I mean when did that start? I mean that
that that game has changed a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
It keeps changing all the time. In fact, we do
a lot of like waterproof lam in it. Like I'm
at Jack's house.
Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
Yeah, And that was one of the things I was
looking for because with pets, you know, I always heard
with laminade, if it gets wet, and I just know,
I know my family, you know, I know something's getting
spilled and it's not getting wiped up right away.
Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
And I was always conscious of that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
And then when I you know, learned they had you know,
it's made in the US, say waterproof laminate.
Speaker 4 (01:21:56):
The two rooms I could not be more pleased with it.
Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
I know I say it all the time, but the
insul Ryan your install guy to a plus job.
Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
I am so pleased with the product we have.
Speaker 14 (01:22:06):
Yeah'm glad to hear that. Yeah, we do a lot
of Mohawk lambin it, which is made in the US.
It's greater proof. Yeah, you can put in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry.
I've got it throughout my entire house and it looks
brand new. Six years down the road.
Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
Yeah, that engineer at forty is really coming a long way.
I remember when the floating came out. Everybody was freaking
out about floating lamin and how easy it was. I'm
good at look. Yeah, snap it right into place. And
I remember getting them like, yeah, it's depending on the
maker because some of the makers the engineering isn't that great.
But when you get the good companies, it goes together
pretty quickly. But man, today they have this stuff where
anybody can do it, like grade school kids can do it. Yeah.
(01:22:39):
I tell people, you give what you pay for.
Speaker 12 (01:22:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
The cheaper stuff is.
Speaker 5 (01:22:42):
You know, not great quality, but it's not gonna last long.
Speaker 2 (01:22:45):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 14 (01:22:46):
Spend a little bit of money, you get stuff that's
going to last fifteen twenty years easily, and you know
you never have to worry about it.
Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
Yeah, hanglers for a second, because we ran up against
the break and I want to give you little bit
more time. For seven nine one six four one text
us at seven seven zero three one. We are broadcasting
live from Orlando. Harley Davidson. It's the Big Bike Drive.
Bring a bike down. We'll be in here untill seven
o'clock tonight. Let's make it to three hundred bikes please.
I gotta sect with more than Jim Colbert Show.
Speaker 11 (01:23:12):
Hey Colbert crew, Good afternoon from Jacksonville. I'm sure wish
I lived there because I would love to donate some bikes.
I just want to tell you the happiness that you
guys are putting out right now, Jimmy, the excitement in
your voice, deb Jack it's electric. I've been smiling my
entire drive home.
Speaker 5 (01:23:34):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 11 (01:23:35):
Everybody, hurry up, get out there, donate a bike if
you're local.
Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
Keep it up, guys, Thank you very much. For oh
seven night on six four one, text us at seven
seven zero three one. Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show,
broadcasting life from Orlando. Harley.
Speaker 4 (01:23:51):
I'm Jim, there's deb Hello, Jack is here? Hi there?
Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
How about Corey from Core for Core Flooring is still
hanging out with us. He is one of the co
sponsors of the Big Events Day along with Orlando, Harley
provided not only a killer station for the guys to
you know.
Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
The funny thing is, I remember when.
Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
Jacksburt just started talking about the whole the pad there,
I was like, I wonder how many people are really
going to bring a bike that needs to be put together?
And it turns out about forty percent of the people
that broughte a bike or one that need to be
put together. So Corey, your your your piece of your
piece of turf there, your artificial term has come in
quite handy to this.
Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
Yeah, it has worked out quite well. Four oh seven
nine one four one.
Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Corey was just telling us that he has been listening
to real radio for how long?
Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
Since nineteen hundreds? That means something so sad, that actually
means something I literally would have bopped you beforehand, like
this is nineteen hundred, Like damn, that's been a while.
So twenty five years, you know for sure, and you
know the two thousands, and then you know we started
broadcasting the Monsters myself for us and uh and bo
(01:24:55):
I think we got on there at nine and ninety
three and then you know, it just kind of morphed
from But Ben, it's been a long ride for sure, sir,
it's been great. You know. One of the great things
about working with Real Radio is you know Scott was
saying in earlier and a lot of people just simply
don't believe this about us. They think that we're run
by iHeart corporate. We get we get a list of
things we can talk about and not talk about every
day and.
Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
All this other stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
And I would put my hand on as many Bibles
as you can bring down here right now and tell you,
without question, without any hesitance, that in my thirty three years,
not one time has management ever come into my studio
and said you can't talk about that, yeah, or you
you need to talk about this, or here's a topic
we need to push because it's good for the company,
or anything like that. Not even once. So that's that
(01:25:37):
is a that's a great advantage. And of course with
Real we're able to do wonderful things like these and
like these bike drives because we it's just a community
driven you know scenario. That's a great thing. And it's
cool that business leaders like you and other business leaders
in town, you know kind of you know, heed that
call and then come through.
Speaker 4 (01:25:53):
That's that's very cool, man.
Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
It really is.
Speaker 5 (01:25:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
I'm happy to help and hopefully for years to come.
Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
Yeah for sure, Corey. I know you've been on site
since seven am. But uh, I, you know, when you
told me you were bringing some bikes, I gave you
one caveat.
Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
I said, I had to wait.
Speaker 4 (01:26:06):
You can't release the bikes until after three we get
we need the credits.
Speaker 5 (01:26:11):
So we tried it.
Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
Monsters.
Speaker 4 (01:26:12):
I pulled up and there, Hey, we got bikes.
Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
I said, nope, nothing to thank.
Speaker 4 (01:26:18):
Somebody here, So so you brought it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
Besides, you know, uh, the investment into helping us produce
this event.
Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
You also donated some bikes as well.
Speaker 2 (01:26:27):
With my help from Cato Steel. We did ten bikes.
That's all.
Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
That's great, A great job. Yeah, thank you Steel.
Speaker 5 (01:26:34):
What do they do?
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
They do steel fabrication.
Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Yeah yeah, just building stuff for company just by order,
mostly commercial stuff. That's awesome.
Speaker 14 (01:26:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
Yeah. I had a dude in the uh in the
he he had a company that did that, and his
whole thing was air conditioning ductwork. Yeah, like he built
all the and he built hoods for restaurants and stuff
because he had the forming it was called Superior Metal
for years. That's what he did. That's a that's a
really cool business. By the way, forget all right for
a seven nine six one o four one.
Speaker 4 (01:27:00):
We can do some topics today too.
Speaker 8 (01:27:03):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:27:03):
The funny thing is is, you know, we talk about
animals a lot on the show because dev is a
massive animal fan.
Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
But I think we all are well and Corey of course,
you know, donates to save a rescue yeah no.
Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
Kill shelter, which is awesome. So we know that humans
as a rule are monogamous beings, right, even Corey gave.
Speaker 5 (01:27:24):
You them exactly when we try to study it exactly
we tried.
Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
CNN had a really interesting story to it says just
how monogamous are human? Scientists break down how we compare
with other animals now and this goes into that myth
world sometimes because we've heard what are the what are
the what are the animals?
Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
We've heard for years that like mate for.
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Life for monogamous for the most part, birds like penguins, right,
and dolphins, right, we've heard the porpoises do or.
Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
No, no, they bang anything anything.
Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
And they're actually one of the only species that do
it for fun, right, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:27:54):
Them, and I believe apes, the babos, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
The bonnabos. They tell you it's hard to even display
bonabo eight of a zoo because all they do is bang.
Speaker 5 (01:28:03):
Yeah, I mean give them a banana bang. Yeah, yeah,
take a banana bang. So outside of it with the
world deep just a happier place.
Speaker 4 (01:28:11):
It's oh, you're good.
Speaker 2 (01:28:15):
Because believe or not that humans are actually far more
monogamous than our primate cousins. Apparently, apes and stuff like that.
They they do not like adhere to the whole. Yeah,
they don't need to hear. They're all about making more
of them.
Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
How you do it?
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
Right? Right?
Speaker 5 (01:28:28):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
What animal do you believe is one of the only
animals in the animal kingdom that's actually more monogamous than humans?
Because when you get into the numbers, it actually is
kind of interesting. Humans clock in its sixty six percent.
Sixty six percent of humans are monogamous, and that's a
really super high number.
Speaker 4 (01:28:49):
I'll give you an example.
Speaker 2 (01:28:50):
Mirror cats are sixty sixty percent of mer cats are monogamous.
Oh wow, turtles, turtles, Okay, this we we're talking about
this animal. Seventy two percent of this animal's speed. This animal,
they're monogamous.
Speaker 4 (01:29:05):
So it's the it's the one more than humans.
Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
And I'll tell you, I'll give you a little hint please,
it's it's it's kind of ironic.
Speaker 4 (01:29:13):
The name of the anal rabbit. The name of the
animal makes it kind of ironic.
Speaker 5 (01:29:20):
Out of horse Corse, researchers.
Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
Found that beavers have a monogamy rating of seventy two percent. Wow,
seventy two percent. Gorilla is only coming at six percent.
They are banging everything trees. Yeah. Chimpanzees, dolphins, they're off
the completely other end of the scale. Only four percent
of chimpanzees and dolphins are monogamous. The rest of them
(01:29:46):
are just let it rip.
Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
See the birds. Ones I know is we have a
lot of sand We had a lot of sand hill
cranes out in the Geneva area when I live there.
You see them everywhere in Florida. Those tall birds are
almost always walking in bears. They call them the rabbi
the sky. But because they're protected, you can't kill them
or anything. But you know, we've heard that they're good eating,
but I don't know anything about that.
Speaker 14 (01:30:05):
And they stopped right in front of your car every time,
every single time with the baby.
Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
They always have the baby.
Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
Yeah, And we were kind we lived on kind of
a monk pond, and they love that. I mean, they
would stay out there. They actually have their their babies
out there because they were protected. They were like gaters
or whatever. But man, those things, those are those are
I mean those lifers?
Speaker 5 (01:30:22):
Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:30:23):
If we would see one and then we didn't see
the other one for a while, we would get like,
you know, a little sad because they get hit by
cars a lot, I know, and we would kind of
get bummed out. Then all of a sudden, that one
would come out of the woods. And but man, when
they have a kid, and it's crazy, it is beautiful.
They switch back and forth and take care of it.
But kind of like what penguins do.
Speaker 5 (01:30:42):
Right, So after the mother has been incubating the egg
or whatever, then she finally gets to go on hunt
for six months while dad is left alone with the kids.
Imagine that we.
Speaker 2 (01:30:52):
Ranked seventh out of eleven species included in the study
to be socially monogamous or favor long term bonds. And
I actually the beaver thing that was kind of wild.
I mean, you know you would never know that, but
I mean it's just kind of wild that that's the animal.
Speaker 5 (01:31:06):
They're actually fascinating animals. I recently learned something with beavers,
you know, with the wildfires out in California. What they
found was that where rivers and streams where beavers built dams,
except for like they burned one time versus the three times,
the area around them all that it just protected them.
So if you're lucky enough to have a beaver, and.
Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
Serena was just happening to walk by.
Speaker 5 (01:31:37):
Perfect time, perfect time exactly. Reason did someone say beaver? Yeah,
but they say, if you're lucky, if you have one
of them in your environment, that's interesting that you do.
Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
So when we were up to Maine, we go up
to Joe's place in Maine, we go in that back
area looking for moose, we would inevitably find beaver dams.
And they hate them up there, like the people who
own those lands. Yeah, they hate beavers. Now, they don't
kill them, but some of them do because I guess
they can harvest them for that scent land thing they
have or whatever.
Speaker 5 (01:32:08):
Oh that they yeah, with the vanilla flavors stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
Yeah, they get better butt. Yeah yeah, but they do that.
But they don't like them because they.
Speaker 5 (01:32:16):
Can flood their lands.
Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
I'm sure, well they not ruin it, but they do
kind of disturb the natural ecosystem there by blocking up
the water that doesn't make it downstream for the other animals.
So what they do is they just go in there
and they bust up the dams, and the beavers get
super pissed.
Speaker 5 (01:32:30):
Good they should.
Speaker 4 (01:32:31):
They chirp out them and they slap their tail.
Speaker 5 (01:32:33):
Good they should.
Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
Yeah, interesting stuff, all right. Four seven nine one six
one o four to one. Text us at seven seven.
Speaker 4 (01:32:39):
Zero three one.
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
Don't forget we are broadcasting from Orlando, Harley Davidson.
Speaker 4 (01:32:43):
It is the big Mic drive. You hear the motorcycles
in the background.
Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
We're looking for bicycles, those guys, and if you could
bring one down, we'll be here till seven o'clock. If
you're just knocking off work right now, you have plenty

entire team of people ready to as your bike helmets too,
by the way, guys, and we'll take bikes of all sizes.

in here and they have a free photo booth. You
can get free pictures with Sanna on the Harley, and
we have one with Angel, Ryan and Sabrina and it's
just like a photo booth photo. You get three pictures
and it has happy Holidays from Orlando Harley Davidson.
Speaker 4 (01:33:21):
Pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (01:33:22):
That's happening free inside Orlando Harley here. But we still
have are just called mo tent set up and Core
Flooring center with Corey's got some some golf teas. Jimmy,
get your core flooring golf teas.
Speaker 4 (01:33:36):
I do not very good, but I do.
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:33:39):
Yeah, he's got some core flooring swag here as well.
Speaker 4 (01:33:43):
He's set up right next to the entrance. Come on by.
Speaker 3 (01:33:45):
We're hanging out until seven. Yeah, we are four seven
one and that's when we turn over. Today's take to
the kid zones, the Paramour and Holden Heights kid zones.
Speaker 4 (01:33:55):
They are coming.
Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
They're picking up all bikes. Well, we're gonna get a count.
At last count we were at two.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (01:34:01):
Yeah, that is nice. Help us get to three hundred though,
that would be so awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:34:05):
If we get even to three hundred, guys, it would
be awesome. Again. We got time. You do have plenty
of time. It's only five fifteen. If you're just eternal,
if you're just not gonna work again. Target Walmart. There's
actually one not far from where we are right now.
You can pop in, grab a bike and drop it off.
That would be awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
And if you need the address, you go to Real Radio,
dot FM, slash Bike. The address for Orlando Harley Davidson
is there, or just navigate here. Everyone has a navigation now.
You know, it's a little circuitous when you come in,
but navigation brings you right to this very parking lot.
Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
Now we know that immigration has become very interesting under
the Trump administration. They announced something they're gonna think about
doing today that I find very very interesting. I'll tell
you what that is next, Hang loose.
Speaker 1 (01:34:56):
Still to come, we find out what's in the good
Sauce with Ross Today. It's six on the Jim Colbert Show.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
How awesome is it? What one four point one is?
Speaker 5 (01:35:08):
Done today with this bike driving everything. I have one question,
is Ryan Holmes still live?
Speaker 4 (01:35:22):
We are back at Orlando Harley Davidson.
Speaker 5 (01:35:24):
And Ryan is actually still here putting bikes together.
Speaker 2 (01:35:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:35:27):
Man, he's killing it out there in the T shirt
and it's swat sixty three degrees out sixty.
Speaker 5 (01:35:31):
Three and he's been here for twelve plus hours put
bikes together.
Speaker 2 (01:35:35):
Unbelievable four seven nine text does at seven seven zero
three one. The guys are right. We are here at
Orlando Harley Davidson broadcasting live for the Big Bike Drive.
We do this every year, raising as many bikes as
we possibly can. Right now, we're right about two fifty.
We would love to get fifty more bikes before we
get out here today at seven o'clock, which means you
still have plenty of time to make it down to
(01:35:56):
a Target, to Walmart, your favorite bike shop, wherever, grab yourself.
I can bring it on down. It really does help
the community. We've done this for a while and the
faces of the kids when they get these bikes is
a game changing human experience. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:36:10):
I was talking with Joseph with the kid Zoned, who
handles the donations for the Paramoa Holy Nights kid Zones.
They could not be more appreciative because I know last
year what we brought to their event to give away bikes,
that was ninety percent of the bikes they had came
from our bike drive last year.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:36:31):
Yeah, and so we've exceeded that amount. We'll have account
by the end of the night. But thanks to everyone
who's came down earlier, either donating a bike, donating their
time to help, or helmets as well. One of those guys,
you know him as Cooch. We talk about him a lot.
He's also a Santa he does you know, that's one
of his gigs. He's a Senna and he is a Senna.
(01:36:52):
Out at Sunset Walk, they have something called Holy Nights
every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They have a tree
lighting at six thirty by the main stage. Toy soldiers,
elves and of course Santa. And that's something happened in
this holiday season out at Sunset Walk. I know we
get to enjoy the best of food challenges out there
in October, but you know they do Christmas as well
(01:37:13):
out there.
Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
Yeah, they do tons of stuff out there. Couch is
a great guy. He's been a real radio listener for years. Yeah,
he supports us at a lot of events. Matter of fact,
I think he comes almost every one of our Margaritaville
events and comes out there and hangs out. Just a
wonderful person, he's saying. And now, so, like Jack said earlier,
if you want to come down to get your photo,
he'll be inside doing that. Actually, Sabrina, Ryan Holmes and
Angel just did that, so you can do that as well.
Speaker 4 (01:37:35):
And it's free of charge. You don't have to pay anything.
Speaker 2 (01:37:38):
Pretty cool. Yeah, all right, four O seven nine one
six one o four one. You can text us at
seven to seven zero three one. What are you laughing
at the Prince of.
Speaker 4 (01:37:47):
The Island putting together bikes and dancing over there?
Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:37:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:37:50):
Oh, by the way, thanks to Prince of the Island,
because he not only donated a bike and brought a
helmet for that bike, but brought an extra helmet.
Speaker 2 (01:37:58):
Why would he have to do that the helmet that
you did.
Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
Not donate with your two bikes, You, Jim, you made
a wonderful donation of two two bikes and one helmet
for them for the kids to share.
Speaker 4 (01:38:13):
The story of why is even worse But we're not
gonna do that, pless.
Speaker 5 (01:38:17):
Ye, it is priceless. Especially you would have got You're
just you would have got a great reward for it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
There's no great reward I did. There is gonna. I
definitely could. But again, we'll be here. We'll be here
n till seven. You have an hour and a half, guys,
bringing on down. And if you're running close, don't worry
about that. These we'll still be here. You'll come on down.
Bring your bike where to Orlando Harley right off of
buy four easy to find? Just pop, like Jack said,
go the real radio dot FM slash bike. Yeah, it
might take them a minute or two to load up
(01:38:45):
the trucks with all of these bikes. There's there's quite
a few. Yeah, you'll have time for sure. So, uh,
before we wanted to break out on you guys. You
know we've the immigration thing in America has you've basically
been shut down, and you know, we have seen a
lot of different things when it comes to immigration. Now.
I saw this today on the on the BBC and
then I looked it up at when CBS News just
(01:39:05):
confirmed that it was true. And what do you guys
think is happening right now? I think forty one countries.
Forty two countries are going to be affected by this,
and this includes like the UK and Europe. Before you
come to America, you have to show our government this
what do you think that is your social media account?
Speaker 5 (01:39:25):
That's what I was going to guess for how long?
Speaker 4 (01:39:29):
Six months, a year, years, six years?
Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
If you would like to come to America from one
of these forty two countries, you better cough up five
years of your social media history before you can enter
our country.
Speaker 5 (01:39:43):
Oh are you kidding?
Speaker 4 (01:39:45):
Five years?
Speaker 2 (01:39:45):
Why?
Speaker 4 (01:39:46):
Well, because what they want Wait, they don't want haters.
They don't want haters.
Speaker 2 (01:39:50):
They want to make sure that you don't have any
anti American sentiments in your history. That's basically the what
they're saying is now. It says that the changes and
all the things have to come down from the White House.
We don't know what it's gonna be yet, but it
looks like that's exactly what it is gonna be. You
will have to show five years of your social media
(01:40:12):
history to enter the visa waiver program. That can be
up the ninety days of a wait, but that's what
they're gonna wind up doing, and it shows it's basically
all of Europe, a lot of South Chile, in South America,
I don't know where they say France, that's not France,
but all of Europe here in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Iceland, Spain, Australia, Japan,
(01:40:34):
South Korea, Taiwan, all of those places, you're gonna have
to show five years of your social media. It's weird.
It's up Russia.
Speaker 4 (01:40:42):
Yeah right, yeah, we may have free speech, but you
guys don't.
Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
So are you sure we do?
Speaker 4 (01:40:50):
In theory?
Speaker 2 (01:40:52):
I find that very very interesting. Here's the thing. I
guess the question is, and you obviously to money anymore, Well,
the question they have to answer is, you know, what
is going to be disqualifying, Like when you know, if
I show you five years of my of my history,
what would disqualify me from from coming to America? Like
you know, what would you have to say? Would have
(01:41:12):
to be something negative about Trump in general or maybe
the administration? Yeah yeah, what if you were just slamming Biden?
Yeah yeah, what if you were just.
Speaker 4 (01:41:19):
Slamming get a parade? Yeah yeah, yeah, it was five.
Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
Years would basically include his entire administration and then just
of course one year and trumps Yeah, but that is
a very interesting concept. Uh, and I'm interested to see.
And I mean, you know, we already know that Canadian
visitorship has basically gone.
Speaker 3 (01:41:35):
The conversations that have to happen now though, if you
were planning a trip, you know, not only your social media,
you might even but your kids and stuff, It's like, well,
who is.
Speaker 5 (01:41:48):
That is that trip? To? Uh? You know the theme
parks aggrevation?
Speaker 4 (01:41:53):
Right. The thing is, you'll never even visit the other state.
Speaker 2 (01:41:55):
You'll pop into Florida, you'll go to Disney, you'll go
to Universal SeaWorld, you maybe leyo Land or whatever. Then
you're hauling as you're leaving all your money here. You're
just you're not even leaving Florida. You're no threat. But
it's gonna be interesting to see how it goes, says.
It is also directed to adjudicators to more intensely probe
the quote good moral character of legal immigrants requesting US citizenship.
So even if you're here, even if you're here legally
(01:42:19):
and you're waiting for citizenship, they're going to also roll
through your social media to see how it looks there
to make sure that you even still bomfy for legal
citizenship even though you've already been in the program. Well,
I mean it says US Citizenship and Immigration Services has
instructive officials to investigate the social media history of several
classes of immigrants, including for views and activities deemed to
(01:42:41):
be quote anti American. But the funny thing is, and
you know what sometimes this administration, minute misses is speaking
out about the government is one of the most American
things you can do. So I don't know what they
would consider anti American. I mean, if you say death
to America, or you say I hate America or Americans
are terrible people, you can understand that. I mean, I
wouldn't want people like that in this country. But if
(01:43:02):
you're just saying I don't agree with this administration because
of maybe the way they run education, maybe the way
they run other things, I mean, that's just a freedom
of speech out issue that all Americans have. You know,
you can't throw me out because I don't like the administration,
and it seems like it could be executed quite subjectively.
Speaker 4 (01:43:17):
Yeah, I would say it's probably going to.
Speaker 5 (01:43:19):
Be subjective, which is why they have the broad term
of anti American.
Speaker 3 (01:43:22):
Yeah yah, yeah, the because you think college admissions they
do that employers will do that.
Speaker 4 (01:43:27):
They'll look back through your social media.
Speaker 2 (01:43:29):
Yeah, and again, as a rule, to be honest with you,
I don't really have a problem getting people to come
here that want to be productive people. I don't have
an issue with that, and I don't have an issue
with keeping people out that aren't going to be that.
But I mean again, when you define the the words
anti American, I would like to see what the qualifiers
are for you not making it in. That's the most
interesting part of this entire policy to me.
Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
I'm just wondering if I scroll back five years you know,
what were you what were you posting five years ago?
Speaker 4 (01:43:55):
It was you know, we see it a lot with
when we were.
Speaker 3 (01:43:59):
Kind of in the height of the cancel culture where
people were going back, Hey remember in you know, twenty twelve,
this person posted this, We're two thousand and five this.
But when the times are different, you know, it's a
different atmosphere. And now it feels now it's different than
it was just a few years ago.
Speaker 5 (01:44:16):
That's why you buy a burner phone for you and
the rest of your family just say we have no
social media accounts?
Speaker 2 (01:44:21):
Yah, yeah, yeah, you know, it's so funny. You say,
the burner phone thing. And this is completely off subject
to what we're talking about. But I heard a story
the other day about a scam thing. And again, I
just saw a thing today about the mall of Millennium,
which is not far from where we're sitting right now,
telling people and this is just what I said yesterday
day before. I was like, you know, if you're a
female and you're out and you're with your daughters or
(01:44:42):
whatever you're shopping, you need to be painfully aware of
your surroundings all the time. A Lendy tells a story
of walking in the mall a Moennia and a dude
just walking up to her and started taking pictures of
her mom and then then they saw her that same
guy do it to a number of other.
Speaker 4 (01:44:58):
Women in the mall as well. That we're walking alone.
Never with someone alone.
Speaker 5 (01:45:03):
Oh, I would have to throat punch.
Speaker 4 (01:45:08):
Yeah, And I forgot what the hell I was going
to say with that.
Speaker 5 (01:45:11):
I mean, I know that's not illegal, but.
Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
No, I don't know if it is illegal or not.
I don't I don't, yeah, because you're in the public domain.
But he the lady said that, you know, just walking
right up and like sticking the phone right in your
face was the issue?
Speaker 5 (01:45:25):
Can you smack it out of his hands?
Speaker 4 (01:45:27):
I would if I was there, I would have thrown
on the ground and he was just knocked on it
and that.
Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
Yeah exactly, Yeah, that's all right. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:45:36):
Sometimes you got to take the hits.
Speaker 5 (01:45:38):
Yeah exactly. I don't know what he's doing with that photo.
I don't know what he's doing with that photo, know that,
or maybe using it to reverse engineer and find out
where you or your daughter lives, or there's just too
much nefariousness out there. It's no more of the innocuous.
Oh you just you guys look like you're having so
much fun. I just want to take your picture.
Speaker 4 (01:45:59):
Yeah yeah, but I mean the scam scenario is is
so bad right now.
Speaker 2 (01:46:03):
And you know again, when you're walking to the parking lot,
I think that's the most egregious place.
Speaker 4 (01:46:07):
Like you really have to be careful, man, you really do.
And what we've started doing is like if we.
Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
Have a bunch of packages and stuff, and if it's
from a store that looks like it may be worth
a little bit of money, my wife just waits in
the mall and then I'll go get the car and
pull up, and we'll load the car there at the
door and then move forward.
Speaker 5 (01:46:23):
That's a great idea.
Speaker 4 (01:46:24):
We're not walking into the parking lot anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
We're not doing that.
Speaker 5 (01:46:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
I like even with me because I mean, you know,
here's the thing. It doesn't really matter. Like if people
want to rip you off, they're not really cared about it.
They're not carring about a fifty year old guy. Even
if I am six two and two hundred pounds. Nobody
gives it. Damn.
Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
I mean, you're gonna roll up with four dudes, I'm
not gonna be able to put it.
Speaker 2 (01:46:39):
Much of a fight. No one's gonna pin you as
fifty either. But I'm not you know here And the
other thing with me is is like I don't fight
for stuff. Yeah, Like I would never ever ever put
my life or my wife or my family's danger in
danger for stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:46:55):
If I have a back full of stuff, I don't
care how much it's worth.
Speaker 2 (01:46:58):
I'm handing it to you. Yeah, And I'm gonna try
get the best description of you I can, but I
am not gonna fight you for my stuff. That's just
how it is. I don't, I don't I see videos
on install where dudes are like putting up fights for
their stuff and they're getting popped or getting slapped, and
I was like, man, it's stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:47:13):
And instinctually you're like, wait, no, this is fine. I
know what I paid for this all, and I haven't
got I got everything in this phone. Yeah, I'm not
giving it up, but I mean it's it's a well
reasoned thought out position because retroactively, like it was just
something that wasn't worth being stabbed over it.
Speaker 5 (01:47:29):
Yeah, exactly. It's almost to the point where if you
are going to shop at those stores, you know and
Neven Marcus a Bloomingdale's, to just walk through the mall,
not come up, maybe through their doors, maybe bring one
of those just you know, those reusable shopping bags and
put your stuff in there so that people can't identify
where you shopped at.
Speaker 2 (01:47:46):
That's exactly what I say. Matter of fact, I read
a thing from a former FBI guy, and it's you know,
about the season the whole nine yards, and that's exactly
what he says to do. He goes, when you go shopping,
bring a bag from your grocery store, Bring a bag
one of those one of those a back from target
or right like that, or back from a store that
does J C. Pennies where it doesn't seem like and
then put all your expensive stuff in that when you
go to leave. Because man, you are being targeted. The
(01:48:08):
people that you see hanging out on the mall aren't
just like kids hanging out on the mall anymore. You
are being cased, you know so much. So I know
that sounds so alarm us, But the problem is there's
too much evidence to prove that I'm right.
Speaker 5 (01:48:19):
Because out in California, what they're dealing with in several
neighborhoods is families finding small cameras that have been placed
into their bushes with fake greeneries that they mix in
with other you know, the foliage around it. And some
of those cases they found them to be part of
like South American gangs. Remember like at the story of
NBA players MLB players being robbed when they're autititilen playing games,
(01:48:42):
so that these families are being cased.
Speaker 4 (01:48:44):
That's your number one thing.
Speaker 2 (01:48:45):
That's why they tell you to never ever, ever ever
put your travel plans on Facebook or social media, never
say you're leaving town, never do mat.
Speaker 4 (01:48:52):
Matter of fact, we even have a thing, you know,
but you never do that now.
Speaker 12 (01:48:57):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:48:57):
The other thing was the safe word. That's what I
was talking about earlier. I saw that coach Jack.
Speaker 5 (01:49:00):
You know all about that, don't you how you doing it?
Speaker 2 (01:49:04):
But it was a really cool thing. Was this corn chowder?
Corn chouwnder corn chowder?
Speaker 4 (01:49:13):
They get out.
Speaker 2 (01:49:14):
I don't know if I don't know if I'm safe
or hungry.
Speaker 5 (01:49:18):
I'm scared.
Speaker 2 (01:49:20):
But the lady tells a story about how somebody called
in the same scenario, I dealt with my son.
Speaker 5 (01:49:25):
Oh right, you know we have your boy.
Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
You know it was a bad drug deal, whatever the
case may be, and you don't get my money. And
I'm like, uh, and I you know, while my wife
was dealing with that, I'm calling my son on the
other phone. He's working out of the gym. And they
you know, but they said the safe work thing came
into play, because that's exactly what happened. They get a call.
They say it's a grandma who's been you know, I'm
broken down, and you know i'd need money because the
tow truck driver blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 5 (01:49:47):
And uh.
Speaker 2 (01:49:48):
The woman said, hey, look, I got no problem sending
you the money, but what's our family's word? What's our
family's keyword? And they just hung up And it's so
it's so simply effective. So I would say that your
family out there, you get one of those going and
and make sure you have it. Especially if you have
young ladies in your family. You got to protect them
because they're targets unfortunately, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:50:07):
Or moms who live on their own. You know, just
anybody that's you worry about being in a vulnerable position.
Speaker 4 (01:50:13):
One thousand percent.
Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
All right, pour seven nine one six text us at
seven to seven zero three one. We had the keyword
talk in my family and we we discussed very few possibilities.
Speaker 4 (01:50:25):
The problem is I don't remember which one.
Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
Possibility.
Speaker 5 (01:50:29):
Yeah, with many passwords these days.
Speaker 4 (01:50:32):
If they come up with anything, I'm like, that could
be it.
Speaker 2 (01:50:35):
All right, load them up, Okay, I'll pay. We are live,

Speaker 5 (01:53:19):
Oh, we're gonna really mix it up today, guys. Let's
go number one.
Speaker 2 (01:53:22):
Number one.
Speaker 4 (01:53:22):
That is Richie Ritchie.
Speaker 2 (01:53:25):
How are you doing, Richie?
Speaker 1 (01:53:26):
Currently writing?
Speaker 4 (01:53:27):
Okay you today?
Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
That's funny doing good buddy trivia.
Speaker 4 (01:53:33):
There you got Richie. I jump the gun a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
How seeing you? All right?
Speaker 3 (01:53:36):
Hey?
Speaker 2 (01:53:36):
Yeah, good, how about you guys? Good to hear that
wane to play a little game with us? Yeah, all right,
here we go on this day in nineteen fifty seven.
All right, Austar nominated actor. Known as a gentle giant.
He helped Ricky Bobby win races. He lived on the
Green Mile. Now remember that, remember the fact that you
(01:54:00):
can't remember his name. Michael Clark Duncan was born on
this day. That's right. Here are three fun facts about
Michael Clark Duncan and one mouthful of lies. All right, body,
we're talking about Michael Clark Duncan you know him from
the Green Mile? Here we go. Number one, before acting,
(01:54:21):
he provided bodyguard services to Will Smith, Jamie Fox and
Notorious Big Number two. If you met him on the
street and you knew his full name, he would give
you five dollars. Number three he was a blue belt
in Brazilian jiu jitsu. Or lastly, he loved his animals.
He had five cats and a sugar glider named Chucky,
(01:54:41):
and they were all provided for in his will.
Speaker 4 (01:54:44):
Which one of those is a lie?
Speaker 5 (01:54:47):
We're gonna go number four. That's the one.
Speaker 2 (01:54:54):
Hey, check this out. There's only one part of that
that is an actual lie, and it's the sugar glider part.
I'll give you no extra prizes because I can't, but
give me give me one guess of what you think
the other other pet was other than his cats, and
it is a unique animal. I'm gonna go, is the answer.
Speaker 4 (01:55:14):
Oh my god, if he wants to go to the
Bowl game and universal, we'll do that.
Speaker 2 (01:55:23):
He idiot, five pats and a chinchilla named Chucky and
he and he provide for every one of those animals
in his living Will Oh, that is so cool. Of course,
died at only fifty three years old. Yeah, and was
considered one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. The Rock
actually got him a start. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:55:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:55:40):
He was good friends with Dwayne Johnson and all those people.
He could and he couldn't help him, so got him
on his jack.
Speaker 2 (01:55:46):
Yeah. Before acting, he did provide bodyguard services to Will Smith,
Jamie Foxx, and Notorious Big But guys, that's just where
it began. Nicki Minaj other big stars as well. He
provided services for those guys. If you met him on
the street and you didn't know his entire her name,
he would give you a five dollar bill.
Speaker 4 (01:56:02):
He carried money off the pressure we got to hit
the ATM.
Speaker 2 (01:56:07):
He was a blue belt and Brazilian jiu jitsu as well,
and a couple other things.
Speaker 4 (01:56:11):
Before we get to the top of the hour sport.
Speaker 5 (01:56:14):
He was Okay, you are at that.
Speaker 2 (01:56:18):
Okay, so you're a you're not a Chicago Bears fan. No,
are you a White Sox fan? No, you're a Cubs fan.
Yes he Jacko loved this. He was present at the
infamous disco demolition night at Chicago White Sox the Misky Park.
Speaker 4 (01:56:33):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (01:56:33):
He was there that night and actually got onto the
field and got to slide into third base while they
took a picture of him.
Speaker 4 (01:56:39):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (01:56:40):
Yeah, pretty cool. At the time of his unlikely death,
he was engaged to controversial Prentice star Omerosa.
Speaker 5 (01:56:46):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:56:47):
As a matter of fact, she caught slack because he
died in his sleep when the when the Ears got there,
she had been trying to do a CPR on him,
but he was so big that she couldn't really help him,
and he wound up dying at fifty three years old.
He did most of his own stunts, why.
Speaker 4 (01:57:04):
Because they didn't have anyone who looked like it.
Speaker 2 (01:57:06):
It's exactly six y five, three hundred pound stuntmen are
hard to come by, so he actually went out and
did most of his own stunts. And then lastly, he
was supposed to have been with Notorious Big the night
that Biggie was shot, but he actually had to call
out and a friend covered his shift for him. He
quit bodyguarding the next day.
Speaker 5 (01:57:24):
Oh yeah, I could see why, man.
Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
I could see why he stopped that business. The very
next day when his buddy was on guard on that
job when when Biggie got shot, he said, man, there's
no more of that for me. And his mom would
not let him play sports. He wanted to play football
as a kid so bad, but he had such a
gentle disposition. She didn't think the game was good for
him and was fearful of him getting hurt. So he
never was much of an athlete, although he had this
(01:57:47):
mass of size. He tried to play basketball, didn't work.
He actually went to Juco and tried to play baseball.
It didn't work, so he just kind of went into acting.
That's how it happened.
Speaker 5 (01:57:56):
For me, I know exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
Yeah, so he is Austar nominated for that portrayal in
Green Midels.
Speaker 5 (01:58:03):
I love that movie is one of my favorite. Yeah,
and he's one of my favorite characters in it.
Speaker 2 (01:58:07):
It's weird because didn't didn't didn't King.
Speaker 4 (01:58:10):
Stephen King also write Greenmount and Shawshank.
Speaker 2 (01:58:13):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:58:13):
So those are two of my favorite movies of all time,
both prison movies, both by Stephen King, which.
Speaker 2 (01:58:17):
Is amazing when you consider what this guy made himself
famous for, for those really campy horror movies and books.
That's what made him famous. But really the stuff that
is his most successful stuff has nothing to.
Speaker 3 (01:58:27):
Do with any and I believe Green Mile might have
been based on a short story by Stephen King, and
then you know, when it was written for the screen,
obviously they elaborated.
Speaker 2 (01:58:35):
I think they're both perfect movies.
Speaker 5 (01:58:37):
I don't really, they really are.
Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
It's hard to find a problem with either one of
those films. I mean they're absolutely of course, you know me,
I love good stories, and I mean they're perfect stories.
The acting is unbelievable. I mean, the casts of those
are simply unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (01:58:50):
All but well, I think one of the guys in
Green Mile, he kind of had a sketchy background.
Speaker 2 (01:58:54):
Yeah, yeah, that one dude, the bad cop. Yeah, I
went up marrying a girl that was like sixty years
old or something when he was forty four. There you go,
he was Courtney something. And you know that's where the
which I think is one of the most underrated actors
in all of Hollywood. I think that was one of
Sam Rockwell's very first appearances on film. He was the
(01:59:15):
crazy gunshooter guy. That's right, the gunslinger guy they had
to execute who said you want to see him?
Speaker 5 (01:59:19):
You know?
Speaker 4 (01:59:20):
I think that's Sam Rockwell.
Speaker 3 (01:59:21):
The the he was in the movie Three Billboards Outside Evingr,
which was should have won lost to Shape of Water.
But that was a great movie.
Speaker 2 (01:59:33):
Water it was.
Speaker 4 (01:59:36):
But that really blew him up in a career.
Speaker 3 (01:59:38):
And then when you go back and see all this stuff,
it's like, oh, yeah, there's Sam Rockwell and he's there
in that.
Speaker 8 (01:59:42):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:59:43):
Uh, there is just so many movies. Galaxy Quest, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:59:46):
He unbelieved.
Speaker 4 (01:59:47):
He was great in that.
Speaker 2 (01:59:48):
I'll tell you were the coolest scenes in movie making
in the last few years, last few years because this
movie is older now. He played He played the bad
guy in the very first Charlie's Angels movie. Yeah, and
there's a scene where he he's going to kill Drew
Barrymore but he does a dance scene to that to the.
Speaker 4 (02:00:08):
What's song Marvin Gay tune? Oh sexual Healing? No, it's
that other one. Let's get it on.
Speaker 2 (02:00:14):
No, he'll know what when you hear it, But but
he does it and if you'll notice, but Sam Rockwell
makes appearances on talk shows, specifically Fallon.
Speaker 4 (02:00:22):
Do you know what he does?
Speaker 2 (02:00:23):
He comes out and does like a thirty second dance
thing with Fallon. He loves to dance, so he incorporates
that into a lot of the stuff he does, which
is cool.
Speaker 4 (02:00:31):
All right, four oh.
Speaker 2 (02:00:31):
Seven nine one text us at seven seven zero three one.
No ross for good sauce, but we'll tell you to
check it out tonight at eight o'clock.
Speaker 4 (02:00:40):
Back in a second with more than Jim Coward Show.
Speaker 2 (02:00:50):
Welcome back to the Jim Colberd Show for All Radio
one oh four point one, in our final hour of
broadcasting live for Orlando, Harley Davidson for the Big Pike
and Drive or All Radios Bike Drive very successful, all
already already more bikes than we had last year, two
hundred and fifty or so on property now still taking
bikes if you make it down. We still have an
hour man. There's walmarts and targets near here. If you'd
(02:01:11):
like to drop bike, grab a bike and drop it off.
Speaker 4 (02:01:13):
We would love that.
Speaker 2 (02:01:14):
And when you get here you'll kind of immediately get
into Christmas sperod when you see all these brand new
bikes out here waiting to be donated, just simply an
amazing vibe and we would love to see you tonight.
Speaker 4 (02:01:24):
You have a full hour to be able to make
it down.
Speaker 2 (02:01:26):
So it's Orlando Harley Real word to do FM slash
Bike for the directions to make it down and we'd
love to see you.
Speaker 3 (02:01:31):
Our volunteers finally got caught up. I don't know, maybe
seventy five eighty bikes they put together. They just got
caught up, and then they're all standing around all proud,
and then another donation comes in in a box.
Speaker 4 (02:01:45):
They're all like, Okay, who's going to do it? Who's
going to do it?
Speaker 3 (02:01:48):
And Prince of the Island was like, yes, another bike.
So he jumped up and started putting it together. Yeah, awesome,
Thanks Prince. We appreciate that very much.
Speaker 2 (02:01:56):
Welcome back. I'm Jim dev Is here, hello, and so
is Yo. I know Ross tonight. Did he give you
a reason why everything all right?
Speaker 4 (02:02:03):
Yeah? He was working his other gig.
Speaker 3 (02:02:05):
He had to go do dad duties and pick up
his son and was not going to be able to
do the normal video call that he could.
Speaker 2 (02:02:12):
No worries though, Man, make sure you check out Good
Sauce tonight, new episode at eight o'clock right now after
Tom and Dan. So check that out tonight on Real
Radio one or four point one. So, I don't know
if you guys saw the story, we know that the
Port Canaveral has really gotten a lot of attention lately.
Just this year, it finally surpassed Miami as the busiest
cruise port on planet Earth.
Speaker 4 (02:02:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:02:33):
It's something you can visually see if you are taking
five twenty eight east the Bee Line or the Beach
Line and you are coming around, it curves around and
then starts heading south and you can just see these
floating hotels.
Speaker 4 (02:02:48):
Yeah, and it's just one after the other, and it's
cruise ships used to be not that big.
Speaker 3 (02:02:54):
Yeah, yeah, and now it's like the next it's we're
always reporting it's the new biggest one in the world.
Speaker 2 (02:03:00):
And they're actually starting to finally, I'll say finally, they're
starting to get a little blowback. The cruise companies are
really starting to kind of kind of feel it a
little bit. People are like, yeah, man, you know, when
when's it going to be too much? Yeah? When is
you know, when's it? When's ten thousand passengers coming?
Speaker 4 (02:03:13):
Because right now some of these boats.
Speaker 2 (02:03:14):
Can carry like six thousand and seven thousand people, which
is bananas. By the way, I think eight million people
went through that port last year, if I remember right,
something like that. Well, there's a new story developing out there,
and it is not a good one.
Speaker 4 (02:03:26):
Have you heard this one?
Speaker 2 (02:03:27):
Never? No, have you heard this one? Jackson?
Speaker 5 (02:03:29):
I have not.
Speaker 2 (02:03:30):
What do you think they want to build out there
on near Merritt Island? Now would not be near Port Canaveral.
It would be at Merritt Island And as you might imagine,
oh they're not with.
Speaker 5 (02:03:40):
The wildlife refuge out there's some of the best birding
in the world.
Speaker 2 (02:03:43):
The commission meeting actually met tonight and they heard a
pitch from a particular company looking to build something that
people are like, not in my backyard dog.
Speaker 4 (02:03:53):
And I would really agree with that.
Speaker 2 (02:03:55):
If they tried to pitch building this within five miles
of where I lived, I think I would be pretty
piste off.
Speaker 5 (02:04:02):
Is it a Is it a fuel depot?
Speaker 2 (02:04:06):
It is a liquefied natural gas plant. There you go
to fuel all mby to fuel all of these cruise
ships that are coming by there. And as you might know,
the port owns undeveloped land west of the port on
the barge Canal right there in Merritt Island, right there
on the other side of five twenty eight. There are
hundreds of homes over there, and my man Vince says, nope,
(02:04:30):
it's roughly two thousand feet away from us. He says,
as the crow flies, So yeah, I'm worried about it.
If it blows up or if there's a leak, I
have no idea what's gonna happen. Yeah. So yeah, it's
this company producing this liquefied natural gas. They want to
build this giant plant over there, and they're said it's
almost gonna be like a refinery, and they're saying it could.
(02:04:51):
The port said the plant could support the space industry
as well. Falcon nine rockets like the one that launched
a classified national security mission on Tuesday, they don't use
liquified natural gas. But the spaceship, the spaceship, the starship
SpaceX does.
Speaker 3 (02:05:05):
What about out there on Kennedy Space Center property out there,
you know, like or the Canaveral Space.
Speaker 5 (02:05:13):
They're busy dumping blue origins. Ever, Jack, they've already got
a plan for destroy the environment.
Speaker 2 (02:05:19):
Yeah, it's at the ports that it would be premature
to talk about the plant proposable before watching a presentation
from the energy company Chesapeake Utilities during Wednesday's commission meeting.
Speaker 4 (02:05:31):
So I'm sure that when we wake up tomorrow morning, we're.
Speaker 2 (02:05:33):
Gonna hear minutes and hear all the comments from the
people who are fighting this Chesapeake Utilities liquified natural gas
plant in their neighborhood.
Speaker 5 (02:05:43):
The would you want one?
Speaker 3 (02:05:44):
I mean no, of course, no one wants to be
near the dirty side of anything, right Exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:05:50):
I don't want houses next to me, much less a
gas plant. Yeah, like, you know, nobody wants like. Look,
there's been so much there's been so much expansion in
the state of Florida, there's nowhere else to go. So
you're going to be encroaching on someone's property somewhere. Yeah,
I mean, unless you find a striple land or a
piece of land. And the problem is where and right
in Florida, it's all very expensive, even the rule land
(02:06:13):
is expensive in this state. So if you're building a
gas plant, you want it near what you're fueling, and
of course it's these ships and they say space X,
but we know it's for the ships.
Speaker 3 (02:06:21):
Yeah, so the the cruise ships. We're talking, what is
it now, five six thousand passengers?
Speaker 2 (02:06:28):
Yeah, I think the Icon of the Seas is the
biggest one, and I think it's like sixty five hundred.
What's your first experience with cruising? When were you first
aware of cruise ships? When I actually, myself, Russ and
our significant others went on the big red boat.
Speaker 4 (02:06:47):
That is an adult in eighty eight or eighty nine.
What about Saturday nights in the late seventies it was
a love boat?
Speaker 5 (02:06:53):
Oh yeah, yeah, I was just gonna say that used
to look big to me when I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (02:06:56):
How many passengers?
Speaker 2 (02:06:57):
I looked it up.
Speaker 4 (02:06:58):
How many passengers do you think love boat would carry?
Speaker 1 (02:07:01):
It?
Speaker 5 (02:07:01):
Probably about the same as the Titanic twenty five hundred, it's.
Speaker 2 (02:07:04):
Not even that six hundred and fifty.
Speaker 5 (02:07:07):
No way, How did everyone not have a state room?
Speaker 2 (02:07:10):
Yeah? Whoa, the big that's a tiny ship ship. The
big red boat would actually fit on this boat. I mean,
that's it's so crazy. I'm trying to find out how
many the Icon of the Seas holds. It's a two
hundred and forty eight thousand gross tonnage Icon of the Seas.
Speaker 4 (02:07:30):
It doesn't say how many people though. It's got to here.
In a second, I'll find it. But thank you, thank
you so much, and shout out to the people on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (02:07:40):
Thanks to Ryan Holmes, they can hear us again on
YouTube and they can hear that Mike going by on
I four.
Speaker 2 (02:07:46):
Thank you and look we are, like I said, we're
still here at Orlando. Harley. If you want to bring
over a bike, we would love, love love to see
you when it comes to bring us a bike. I mean,
we have a very very cool group of people here
ready to put it together. Un maximum capacity on the
icon of seventy six hundred people. Damn whoa that is
twenty five hundred people short of my entire hometown. Ten
(02:08:10):
thousand people in black.
Speaker 5 (02:08:10):
Of or Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:08:12):
Seventy six hundred people, uh five six hundred passengers and
twenty three hundred crew.
Speaker 5 (02:08:18):
Just think what you could do for your city of Placa.
You can take your town, take your entire town on
a cruise.
Speaker 4 (02:08:24):
Power ball tonight.
Speaker 5 (02:08:25):
He will get that float, he will get his balloon,
a parade.
Speaker 3 (02:08:29):
It's it's a little shy of a billion for the
power Ball tonight. But Jimmy wins it, and he takes
Palaca on a cruise only only if they name him
the best Platkin ever exactly and this statue.
Speaker 5 (02:08:40):
Exactly, and he's got to have that float in the parade.
We gotta figure out a way of getting that Jim
Colbert float. You can see it on our Facebook members,
Jim members, that was the best float.
Speaker 2 (02:08:52):
It ain't never gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (02:08:53):
People are never gonna say, Chipper, what kind of shop?
What kind of what kind of statue would you? Would
it be the baseball? Would you being the wind up there?
What kind of statue do you want to for the
Palaka High?
Speaker 2 (02:09:04):
It would be mullet chip to hammered on sheep beer
passed out face down in some sandpit somewhere, that would be,
because that's pretty.
Speaker 11 (02:09:13):
Much what I not.
Speaker 2 (02:09:13):
The Watermark melon salesman outside the wind Dixie maybe that
one who knows? Allright? Four and seven and I went, no,
that was here, Oh oh god, that was a nightmare.
I've never been arrested. The guy just told me I
was arrested. I'm like yeah, And I just kept on
ringing on people how confused. You must have been. I
(02:09:34):
was like nineteen years old. And the guy said, for
people who don't know, I was arrested here in Orlando,
in Okoe, Florida for selling alcohol to a minor while
working part time at a convenience a while I went
to college.
Speaker 5 (02:09:46):
But you said he had a beard and three kids
we had.
Speaker 2 (02:09:48):
He was fifteen years old.
Speaker 5 (02:09:49):
He had a beard, and it looked like minor to me,
and the cops.
Speaker 2 (02:09:53):
That arrested me looked like a comedy troop. They did
not like cops. It was like a short, fat one
like he like Hori sayings yeah, and then the other
guy was like Jeane Siskel and uh, nobody knows those references.
But I got it.
Speaker 4 (02:10:08):
But they said you're under arrest, and I literally laughed
at it.
Speaker 2 (02:10:11):
I laughed at him and kept bringing people up and
they're like, no, you weal there are You just sold
alcohol to a minor. And I said that kid, I said,
I said the guy with the beard, the kid. And
they freaked out when I said that, they did not.
They freaked out, like, if you if anything happens to him,
you're doing I'm like, shut up, nothing's gonna happen to anybody.
They literally just gave me a notice of peer. I
finished my shift. I literally called my dad and I said,
(02:10:34):
I think I got arrested. He goes, what happened?
Speaker 5 (02:10:36):
And I told him.
Speaker 2 (02:10:37):
He goes, yeah, you got a notice to a peer.
And man, what a pain in the ass that was.
Ooh man, what a pain in the ass. I had
to go through like pre trial diversion and all kind
of like anger management.
Speaker 4 (02:10:47):
And I like, anger management, Are you sure you did
the course?
Speaker 2 (02:10:51):
I needed the anger management for how pissed off the
act made me. I was like, it's stupid, it makes
no sense. I didn't even get mad. I just kept
working the entire time. I barely looked up, and uh, man,
what a nightmare. Whydn't costing me like nine hundred dollars? Well,
that's a lot of money.
Speaker 5 (02:11:07):
Back then eighty six money.
Speaker 2 (02:11:08):
Oh, get out of that.
Speaker 5 (02:11:10):
That's new car money.
Speaker 2 (02:11:11):
Like I was. And it stayed on my record, and
I told I told this story as well. And you know,
when I was my kids were in elementary school. Jack
knows this because he lives in somewhel County. You know,
there's a thing called the dividends program, and what it
is they do a background check on you so that
you can do stuff with your kids, you know, for
field trips or be a chaperone or something like that.
But they need to make sure that you're cool right. Well,
(02:11:31):
when you log on that machine and it asks you
if you've been arrested, I'm like, well, I mean I
went to pre trial. It was basically done, supposed to
be expunge for my record. And then the next line said,
if you lie on this and we find out you're lying,
you will never ever be able to be part of
the dividends program. When I check yes, I was arrested,
(02:11:56):
the entire school shut down. The CIA dudes were dropping
out of the camp out of the ceiling with like ars.
I'm like, it was just I sold a dude do
a six pack. I didn't even do anything. I didn't
touch anybody, Like it doesn't matter, I'm not asking you.
The screen had a giant X that came up on
it and it started beeping. Really kiddy's I can try
(02:12:19):
to steal a watch from a jewelry store and they're like,
oh sir. And then that's when they told me you
have to go through all of this hoops. You have
to prove to us that you did all this. Let
me tell you that case at that point was like
eighteen years He thank you.
Speaker 5 (02:12:34):
You can't.
Speaker 4 (02:12:35):
You can't get mad at the car's going by a
night for twenty twenty years ago.
Speaker 2 (02:12:39):
And I told them, I said, I don't even know
if this information is even still available, And it turns
out that it was. I got lucky.
Speaker 4 (02:12:46):
I got all the paperwork and proved to them that.
Speaker 2 (02:12:48):
It was like that. But man, what a joke. So
much easier to lie on that question. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:12:52):
I should have probably just lied.
Speaker 5 (02:12:53):
They probably didn't care, but they did find the information
so well.
Speaker 2 (02:12:57):
I found it. But had they gone digging, I don't
know how much dig there.
Speaker 4 (02:13:00):
They don't dig it, maybe not. Ain't nobody digging?
Speaker 2 (02:13:04):
I went.
Speaker 5 (02:13:06):
I appreciate the listener just texted us at seven seven
zero three one back to our topic. Don't forget he
should also get the key to the city of Palaca
after that cruise.
Speaker 4 (02:13:15):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right yeah yeah. Powerball to
Night Jim is gonna win.
Speaker 2 (02:13:18):
I'm going to get tickets.
Speaker 4 (02:13:19):
We'll get Oh do we still get a cool mill?
Speaker 8 (02:13:21):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (02:13:22):
Me and Devin Ross?
Speaker 2 (02:13:23):
But it's more now, yeah, absolutely right?
Speaker 5 (02:13:26):
Ten whoa, he's winning nine hundred and eighty five million dollars.
He can kill upon even yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:13:35):
You have to understand the entertainment value is I'm gonna
give you enough money to ruin your own life.
Speaker 5 (02:13:39):
Okay, challenge accept.
Speaker 2 (02:13:41):
It, give you enough money to ruin your own life. Okay,
and then I wanna sit back and watch all right,
like trading places. Let's do it all right, four O
seven four one text us at seven seven zero three one.
Don't forget we are still at Orlando, Harley. We're broadcasting
until seven o'clock. That will be the end of the
Real Radio Bike Drive. We hope you can make it
down before we get off the air. Just dropped by
a Target or Walmart. Get yourself a new bike, bring

the community as well. Let's take a little break back
in a second with more of the Jim Colbert Show
of Guys support from Duva this afternoon.
Speaker 10 (02:14:27):
The bike from has been delivered today.
Speaker 2 (02:14:32):
You guys do an awesome job man, keep up to work.
Love you guys.
Speaker 13 (02:14:37):
Also, next year, can we start a gofund me so
Jim can afford.
Speaker 2 (02:14:40):
To hum you son a bit.
Speaker 4 (02:14:44):
Come in and stop saying yeah, very Christmas buddy. He
sent the bikes from Jackson.
Speaker 3 (02:14:48):
He's in Duval, but he said at five point fifty
one it shows it was delivered here.
Speaker 2 (02:14:54):
That's probably when the Amazon truck was here.
Speaker 5 (02:14:55):
Probably I was thinking he was gonna make it by
Oh Man, I was hoping to meet you.
Speaker 12 (02:15:00):
You go.
Speaker 2 (02:15:01):
We appreciate it very much. Welcome back to the Jim
Bolber Show, Real Radio one oh four point one. I'm Jim.
Speaker 4 (02:15:05):
There's depth, are you sure?
Speaker 2 (02:15:07):
Yeah, there's Depp.
Speaker 5 (02:15:07):
Hello, that's weird getting on my right.
Speaker 2 (02:15:09):
On my left.
Speaker 4 (02:15:10):
Jack is here as well.
Speaker 2 (02:15:11):
Yeah, and we are at Orlando Harley for about another
or half an hour or so. That is the Real
Radio Bike. Dri've been doing it all day. The monsters
kicked it off right into the News Junkie, into us
two hundred and fifty plus bikes. We're hoping to make
it the three hundred. We still have time for a
little last blast. Guys. If you want to make it down,
drop by Target, Walmart, whatever the cakes may be, pick
up a bike, bring it on down and feel good
about being in the Christmas spirit. And if you want
(02:15:34):
to find out how to get here real radio, dot FM,
slash bike, it's all right there.
Speaker 3 (02:15:38):
I just like Georgia presidential election results. I told Brandon
to keep counting until he gets to the number we want.
Speaker 5 (02:15:47):
Just give us twenty thousand more.
Speaker 2 (02:15:48):
That's what you have to do. Well. A couple of
interesting things that you know before we get out of
here today. One is, you know, it's so funny, what
are you The most caring scenes.
Speaker 4 (02:16:05):
Is that tomorrow's news story.
Speaker 2 (02:16:07):
Stop stop sping. We will not take your We will
not take your news story. And the sorry, so you know,
can we talk about the company letter we got when
in regards to AI, is that something we can talk about?
Speaker 4 (02:16:24):
Monsters have been okay?
Speaker 2 (02:16:25):
Good? I didn't know so here at iHeart you know
our boss Bob Pittman. And for people who do not know,
Bob Pittman was the guy who started MTV. You know
he is the guy who now runs iHeartMedia. And I
think he's actually a fine, a fine executive. He's he's
done fined by US. I have no complaints from Bob Pittman.
I think he runs a company as well as he
possibly can considering the changes that radio and media in
(02:16:47):
general have gone through. He's been able to negotiate that
through some very difficult times and and as an employee
of the company, appreciate that greatly. And he sent out
a directive along with Rich Prestler, who is his partner
in crime. Here I Hard Media. They were the one
and two I believe, And it was an important thing
for us because with the advent of AI, a lot
of people, specifically in the media, you know, influencers are
(02:17:10):
using AI to create their content. We got a letter
that said, do not use AI to create your content.
You know, we want human, authentic interactions with our audience.
And I'm going to tell you I could not agree more.
I never really adopted AI. It did not look genuine
to me. It did not look it didn't feel like
whoever was using it was putting in the time that
(02:17:31):
you know. It just didn't feel good to me. And
I'm not dogging anybody who uses it. I understand it's
very efficient. It makes your workload way lighter. I get it,
one hundred percent.
Speaker 5 (02:17:40):
Yeah, but it makes our workload that much bigger. Like
on social media now, you have to do so much
investigation before you can even like a post yeh yeahah
before you get a community note that says.
Speaker 2 (02:17:50):
Oh yeah, that was AI.
Speaker 4 (02:17:51):
Right. I mean some of it is pretty easy.
Speaker 5 (02:17:53):
I thought dogs are really adopted humans.
Speaker 2 (02:17:56):
That broke my heart. But one of the biggest companies
in the world is actually kind of dealing with this
right now, and it's kind of interesting. So as we
deal with this as the biggest media company in the US,
radio media company in the US, and actually we're big
in billboards and other influencers as well, number one podcast
company in the in the US. You know, we we
(02:18:17):
want to make sure that people don't believe that we're
kind of cheaping out and giving them AI content. You
know that anybody in the world could just punch in
a prompt and create you know, you want something that's you, really,
that reflects who you are and what you do.
Speaker 5 (02:18:29):
And that's a lot of that has come from, you know,
surveys of listeners who are like, listen.
Speaker 2 (02:18:34):
I'm not reacting to this.
Speaker 5 (02:18:36):
I want I want it to company human being just
like me.
Speaker 8 (02:18:39):
Right.
Speaker 2 (02:18:39):
Yeah, I don't want you punch any it in and
spinning it out.
Speaker 5 (02:18:41):
Yeah, I don't want that Hollywood actress to or whatever
who isn't even real.
Speaker 4 (02:18:46):
Well, uh, McDonald's is actually going through it a little bit.
What Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:18:50):
So the Netherlands division of McDonald's pulled a Christmas advertisement
following some massive online backlash because they did this commercial
and it was a I generated And the crazy thing was,
is it really was. I watched the thing. The AI
is very obvious, like you, you know, it's just obvious.
The movements of stuff look weird, the people look weird,
(02:19:12):
the lighting is weird. It's all weird.
Speaker 3 (02:19:14):
And Coca Cola has an AI one that they were
a Christmas spot they were running last year and it's
running this year as well.
Speaker 5 (02:19:21):
Is it really bears?
Speaker 2 (02:19:22):
And the and the reason why, the reason why I
think there are no more polar bears the McDonald's one
was wild soon is because it really wasn't the AI.
I thought there was offensive about it. I mean the
content of the commercial was brutal.
Speaker 6 (02:19:36):
It was no, it was.
Speaker 4 (02:19:39):
I mean a lot of McDonald's this past week.
Speaker 2 (02:19:43):
Why it's okay, Yeah, I got it's called.
Speaker 5 (02:19:47):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:19:48):
The reason why is because it was called the most
stressful time of the year. That was the name of
the commercial, right, and the entire time was just how
much life can suck this time of year, you know,
making it the family stuff, cooking the right thing, making
it to your Christmas party, wearing the right this, and
you're picking out the right Christmas tree. And it was
taking you through all of these decisions and how they
(02:20:10):
could fail. And at the very end it said, but
the most stress the most stressless decision you'll make all
day is eating at McDonald Right. That was the whole
gist of the commercial, and it got straight blasted. I
was reading some of the comments and by the way,
if you want the truest entertainment in the world, it
has nothing to do with what you're watching or reading.
Speaker 4 (02:20:28):
Yeah, it's a reaction to it.
Speaker 2 (02:20:30):
It's the comments. I don't care where the comments are
some of the best comedy happening in the world right now.
And the comments lit this thing on fire. And it
was very funny, and it was exactly what our guys
are saying. Like, you know, not only was the content
of the thing crap, but it just doesn't seem legit.
It does doesn't seem real. It doesn't seem like the
company cares enough about the clients. For the customers we
(02:20:52):
go to put in the time it takes to make
a genuine commercially you know, Budweiser and McDonald's and publics
and all these people this time.
Speaker 4 (02:21:00):
Year they shine. I mean, I don't know about you.
Speaker 2 (02:21:03):
I wait for the Budweiser commercial, like you know, because
every year all the Coca Cola commercials. You wait for
those commercials.
Speaker 5 (02:21:10):
Because the publics, because you know you're gonna cry.
Speaker 2 (02:21:12):
As Americans, we have been like it's Pavlovian. We have
been classically conditioned to expect these moments in our lives
and those coke commercials or the public's commercials.
Speaker 4 (02:21:23):
But for me, like what was the other ones?
Speaker 2 (02:21:26):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (02:21:27):
I just mentioned it, the co commercials, the Budweiser, Budweiser ones.
Speaker 2 (02:21:32):
Want to be part of the team, dude, all of those.
That's like, that's part of American culture. And then I
can't imagine them ever relying on AI to produce something
that's been that's meant so much to Americans for so
many years. But boy, they're catching at the McDonald's, that's
for sure.
Speaker 5 (02:21:47):
We riot if the HES truck start going.
Speaker 4 (02:21:49):
Oh yeah, the the uh.
Speaker 3 (02:21:52):
There's definitely been a swing in public sentiment because at first,
where you oh, it's fun and how much you can
use it, and people have and I'm making goofy images
and you know, and doing this. But then when you
see it start being used commercially, and then you realize
that the concern is, well.
Speaker 4 (02:22:09):
What about the people who used to do this for
a job?
Speaker 2 (02:22:12):
Right?
Speaker 10 (02:22:12):
Right?
Speaker 2 (02:22:12):
Right?
Speaker 4 (02:22:12):
And so then it comes with that, you know, the
other side of the coin.
Speaker 3 (02:22:17):
And there's definitely been a swing in public sentiment on
the favorability of AI.
Speaker 4 (02:22:21):
It's a tool.
Speaker 5 (02:22:22):
It is a tool, and.
Speaker 4 (02:22:23):
We're kind of figuring out where it should be used
and maybe where it shouldn't.
Speaker 2 (02:22:27):
And we know because of the blowback of that, that
actress that was created what was her name, till Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it cheers. That thing is still getting actions. A matter
of fact, the lady who created that just had to
have a press like a press conference or a statement yesterday. Uh,
you know, basically reminding you, like, you know, AI characters
are not going to replace your favorite actors. And I'm like, well,
that's not up for you. You don't get to decide that.
Speaker 5 (02:22:47):
Yes, correct, heads are going to decide yes, it's gonna
save them a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (02:22:51):
Yeahah, you don't get to decide that lady who created
this and it's not your game? I repeat?
Speaker 3 (02:22:55):
Wouldn't it be a positive thing if AI actors were
used in porn?
Speaker 4 (02:23:05):
Oh got them?
Speaker 5 (02:23:06):
I don't know though, because you know they they thought
that as well, like, well, if you give access to porn,
then you reduce the amount of sexual assault or if
someone has like a sunstall. I don't and it's still
not right.
Speaker 4 (02:23:19):
But oh, I think people need it to be real.
Speaker 5 (02:23:21):
Here's the other thing. Wouldn't that create like a new
cottage industry for the porn industry all our films feature
real actors?
Speaker 2 (02:23:29):
Yeah, but I mean I don't. I don't think you
think people are gonna be leaning like I don't. I
don't know anybody.
Speaker 4 (02:23:34):
You haven't seen that tab?
Speaker 5 (02:23:36):
I haven't have you seen some How are you getting
on those sites?
Speaker 2 (02:23:39):
What sights?
Speaker 4 (02:23:42):
You're like talking to a lawyer, I know you're talking
to it.
Speaker 2 (02:23:46):
You're like talking to YEA.
Speaker 4 (02:23:50):
And so tell us sault.
Speaker 2 (02:23:54):
Yeah, I don't know, man, I don't think I would be.
I think people who watch that kind of content want
that to be legit, They want that to be actual.
Speaker 4 (02:24:02):
They need that girl to have a daddy issue.
Speaker 2 (02:24:07):
You can't which you can't.
Speaker 4 (02:24:10):
And that's where you get the victims and the negatives.
Speaker 3 (02:24:13):
But if, but if it was artificial, artificially created content
in that realm, would there be a downside to it
besides the you know, creating a more insensitive culture and
you know, make it more insensitive.
Speaker 2 (02:24:31):
I gotta tell you, when I write pick the porn,
I got bad news for you. It's really insensitive. Porn
is not. There is nothing sexy about pornography. It is
horribly insensitive. The stuff that I see when I write
that bit and have to watch when I look at
when I when I write.
Speaker 5 (02:24:50):
That big listen to the show.
Speaker 4 (02:24:55):
Who's the victim?
Speaker 2 (02:24:56):
I dare either want of you to do it?
Speaker 5 (02:24:59):
That one sounds like he does it on the regular.
Speaker 2 (02:25:01):
I should I.
Speaker 4 (02:25:03):
Challenge you to do it.
Speaker 5 (02:25:04):
I challenge you to go and watch that or look
at that's license. I'm not.
Speaker 2 (02:25:08):
I don't have to. I mean, I like, here's the thing,
Yeah it's and it's not that. I mean it's not
even that store. It's a place that we all know about.
But you just go in there and you browse their
their movies. But here's the thing, they're not hiding that stuff.
I mean, you're not watching the film itself, but my god, man,
the covers alone.
Speaker 5 (02:25:25):
I was gonna say, Jimmy, as soon as you told
us that you look at the covers like you're looking
at a horror.
Speaker 4 (02:25:31):
You have no idea.
Speaker 2 (02:25:32):
What I try to do is just read the name
under the thing and just and just kind of not
try to look up. But sometimes when you read the
title you have to look up. You're like, what is this?
Speaker 4 (02:25:42):
And when you look up, you're like.
Speaker 2 (02:25:43):
I shouldn't not have looked up, Like I shouldn't have
looked like Lot's wife.
Speaker 5 (02:25:49):
Turned to a pillar assaulted.
Speaker 2 (02:25:50):
Shouldn't have looked all right? Four O seven nine one
six four one text us seven seven zero three one.
There was another story we can maybe in with this,
or a couple of other things as we kind of
get out of here today. Remember we are still here
for another few minutes. If you have time, you can
still make it down to Orlando, Harley Davidson and bring
a bike. We are still here till seven o'clock. You
got twenty eight minutes to make it to bring that bike.
We would love to see that an inch closer to
(02:26:12):
three hundred bikes. But so there was a woman who
this is another one of these airplane stories, and as
people travel for the holidays, you're going to experience some
of this stuff, you know, if you're flying, you're going
to experience some of this. This lady is not having
it though. This is a woman that she refused to
give up her window seat that she paid for because
(02:26:32):
the kid that was in the row with her was
crying like a maniac because the kid wanted to sit
next to the window. The kid would not shut up.
The bomb was absolutely laying it on the woman, like, hey,
you know, how can you deny the child this experience?
And the lady's like, look, man, I paid for the seat,
I paid extra for the seat. Your kid's not sitting here,
I'm sitting here. She a passenger when they started having
(02:26:56):
this interaction, started filming her right, filming the interaction, filming
her right without her consent, and to put it up
online online. She got smoked. The mom or the person
at the window seat, the mom or the woman not
giving up the window.
Speaker 5 (02:27:12):
Seat because you child right now is so entitled, right,
The kid.
Speaker 2 (02:27:15):
Was dying to get over there, and the you know,
and the people are like, well, what couldn't you just
do it? The kid obviously wouldn't do it. You fly
all the time, blah blah blah blah blah, all these excuses,
and of course there were some people going, yeah, the
kid can piss off. You know, the kid can kiss ass.
I mean, it's just But the thing that was crazy
is she got really hit hard online. A lot of
people are coming at her and finding out who or
she's suing. She's suing not only the airline, she's suing
(02:27:38):
the passenger who filmed her. Good good, And I have
to tell you, I think this may be a precedent case.
I've not heard of anybody. Of course, we've heard of
these interactions, We've heard of people getting pissed off about this.
I've not heard of anybody, you know, uh, you know,
moving to litigation and then bringing the person who just
simply shot the video into play. But I love it.
Speaker 3 (02:27:59):
I like it because right now it seems like the
first reaction when anything of news happens.
Speaker 4 (02:28:04):
It's not render assistance, it's not de escalate or find.
Speaker 2 (02:28:09):
Out what the truth is.
Speaker 4 (02:28:09):
It's to record.
Speaker 5 (02:28:11):
It's to get fodder for your social media, to inflame,
to flame exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:28:16):
That's exactly what it is.
Speaker 4 (02:28:17):
But I'm gonna keep an eye on that story.
Speaker 2 (02:28:18):
Actually made a note of her name in the story
because I'm interested to see how that works out, because
maybe that'll not embolden so many people to quickly get
into their phone trying to make a situation that's already
crappy worse.
Speaker 5 (02:28:30):
Well, she could have just told the mom what her
zelle or venmo is and said, hey, you go ahead
and calling up the extra money that I paid the
sip the seat, I'll switch happily for.
Speaker 4 (02:28:39):
The entire seat.
Speaker 2 (02:28:39):
I would and take the upgrade. I'd say, you paid
me three hundred and fifty dollars, that's what this seat costs.
And your kicking smear's face on on that window. He
can look it until it breaks. I don't give a damn,
but it's gonna cost you three fifty lady, yep, exactly
if you want to. If everybody in the cabin wants
to chip in, so this dude, this kid can sit
next to there. Everybody call up five bucks and I
will move as fast as you can imagine. But until then,
(02:29:00):
here's these.
Speaker 5 (02:29:01):
And here's here's a good question. Because you guys have
flown when your children were small, would you ever allow.
I mean, was that something that you would have asked
another passenger to give up their seat for or would
you have just used it as a teaching lesson that
you don't always get everything you want.
Speaker 2 (02:29:17):
I would have I would have been out of breath, unfortunately,
because I would have been smacking my kids so often
that I would have been breathless. I would have snatched
my kid up into the bathroom so fast you have
no idea. One whimper and it's done. There'd been no
way that would have happened on my watch. I'm not
I'm not trying a tough guy, big dad, but this
is where I'm from. We don't roll like that. Kids
(02:29:38):
that aren't entitled, kids don't run the show.
Speaker 4 (02:29:41):
That's right, But when they're young. We flew with my daughter.
Speaker 3 (02:29:44):
She was just over two, yeah, I would say two
or three. And it was an overnight flight, so her
sleeping schedule is off. She was cranky and irritable, but
I just remember saying, oh, I'm never flying with her again,
not until she's eighteen.
Speaker 4 (02:30:01):
We're not doing this like I'll.
Speaker 2 (02:30:02):
Tell you straight up. One of the first things I
do when I walk on an airplane, especially if I
wind up getting on late as I just where are
the kids? Where are the ones you know that are
gonna scream the entire time because their ears are popping
or they're not getting what they want?
Speaker 5 (02:30:14):
I remember how painful that was as a kid.
Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
Yeah, nightmare, all right, four oh seven one.
Speaker 4 (02:30:20):
You can always text us at seven seven zero three one.
Speaker 5 (02:30:22):
Years so in one of my flights as a child,
I think my mom still has the poem. I sat
next to a guy and he wrote me like roses
are red, violets are blue. After sitting next to you, deprah,
I need a trip to the bar because I, oh, really,
I'm a talker for a living. Yeah, it turns out
I'm just a talker.
Speaker 2 (02:30:44):
It is all right, seven seven zero three one. That's
how you text us.
Speaker 4 (02:30:46):
Will take a little break, come back on a second.
Speaker 2 (02:30:48):
That what do you have for news? Hey?
Speaker 5 (02:30:49):
Are you guys ready for some more road construction? Are you?
Speaker 9 (02:30:53):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (02:30:54):
This one's gonna be fun. Guys, don't go to this
mall if you think you're gonna grab some count he
fit Chanel.
Speaker 4 (02:31:01):
I saw that, cray how crazy.
Speaker 5 (02:31:04):
That it was in a mall.
Speaker 4 (02:31:05):
Dude, I got a better I when I read that story.
Speaker 2 (02:31:07):
This morning. I've got a story that'll blow your mind
even more in the mall thing.
Speaker 5 (02:31:10):
All right, and then lastly, pretend you don't know, but
we're going to talk about America's most caring city play along.
Speaker 2 (02:31:17):
Actually, the funny thing is, I don't know what the
city is. I just know where Florida City's fell. That's
all I know.
Speaker 4 (02:31:23):
I don't know what the real city is.
Speaker 5 (02:31:24):
All right, Well, then don't look at my notes. We'll
do that next thing.
Speaker 2 (02:31:26):
You heard it here first, break back and say, with
dam's news, we'll get the hell out of here on
a Wednesday.
Speaker 12 (02:31:37):
Happen to be lomsday. I'm gonna tell you, man. First off,
God blessed you guys to do a great job. And
the bike affair every year it's fantastic. But quick little
story man, Not when I got my first bike, but
when my daughter got hurt and got her trained, little
(02:31:59):
six years old, she smiled from ear to ear, and
I smile with her.
Speaker 2 (02:32:04):
You doing a blessed job. Welcome back to the Jim
Colbert Show. Real Radio one O four point one broadcasting
live from Orlando. Harley Davidson. At the very end of
our bike drive, I want to thank everybody who showed
up tonight.
Speaker 5 (02:32:17):
Yeah, thank you guys.
Speaker 2 (02:32:20):
Angel and Ryan Holmes will be late tomorrow morning. I'm
gonna tell you straight up, that's just how it is.
Still on property. Ryan right here, Angel right here. They've
been putting Mike together all day, along with Sabrina from
the News, Chunky, they were here, Some of our reps
were here, Cause and her husband and just Bruce and
so many great people that work at this station putting
in extra hours and make sure this event goes great.
We can't thank you enough.
Speaker 4 (02:32:41):
Brandon is the awesome crab man on Jr. Are you
guys know him? We had some of the coolest listeners.
Speaker 2 (02:32:45):
By the way, this gentleman right here builds theme parks
for a living, travels all over the world to build
theme parks. Got to say hey to him. We've just
had some really interesting cool interactions all week in long,
all day long. We really appreciate that we have a fine.
Speaker 5 (02:33:00):
That is our official count. Gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (02:33:02):
You want to do it, I will, Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 3 (02:33:05):
The twenty twenty five Real Radio Bike Drive has raised
two hundred and fifty eight bikes for the Paramour Kid
Zone and Holden Heights Kid zone of Orlando. So they're coming.
They're here to pick up these bikes right now, two
hundred and fifty eight.
Speaker 2 (02:33:25):
That is awesome. You guys gonna take them apart so
they can fit in the trailer though.
Speaker 3 (02:33:28):
Yeah, yeah, you guys have to dissemble. I mean seriously,
they were only assembled for the picture. Matter of fact,
we need the picture. Then they can take the bikes.
You're not the Marinches plays.
Speaker 2 (02:33:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:33:40):
An amazing day, it really was.
Speaker 2 (02:33:41):
Yeah, the monsters were here like five o'clock this morning,
right into the news junkie to the heat of the day.
And of course we get it, it's cooling off a
little bit. But these bikes out here, there's a sea
of them. It's just great to see it. And again,
you can just imagine that Christmas morning with that kid
that really didn't have a lot of hope for Christmas.
We'll be able to see that brand new bicycle next
to the tree.
Speaker 4 (02:33:58):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (02:33:59):
That is what the season is all about. And we
can't thank you guys enough for coming through. This is
why this is the greatest station in Orlando, no doubt,
and one of the greatest stations in the United States
of America.
Speaker 5 (02:34:07):
E Yah listeners.
Speaker 2 (02:34:11):
Big thanks to everybody again. Orlando Harley Corey from Core Flooring,
simply awesome people, Orlando Harley, very benevolent for them to
let us come down and set up and have the
food trucks and all the cool stuff and have plenty
of space to be able to stage the bicycles, invite
listeners come down and wander around the showroom all just awesome.
Speaker 3 (02:34:28):
Yeah, they had a Santa Claus here as well, just
call Mo. MO was here on both monsters in the
midday show. Made a huge donation I think of like
seventy bikes, the ones right in front here and was
giving away hot sauce with every donation and had all
of his Mo merch available and thanks to them. Also
thanks to TNS Professional Rentals. I know they dropped off
(02:34:50):
a bunch of bikes earlier and Rockaway. Let's find the
information there it's Rockaway something or other. Oh there it
is Samantha with Rockaway Exhibits.
Speaker 4 (02:35:02):
That's where I think like the fifty or sixty unassembled
bikes came from.
Speaker 5 (02:35:06):
Oh wow, yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (02:35:08):
So a great day all round and a big thanks everybody.
Speaker 4 (02:35:10):
We appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (02:35:11):
Absolutely, just can't believe the outpouring of love in the community.
Speaker 4 (02:35:15):
But that's what we all do.
Speaker 2 (02:35:16):
This is what we do.
Speaker 4 (02:35:17):
So Dad, let's get some news. Let's get out of here.
Speaker 1 (02:35:19):
Good time for you heard it here first on the
Jim Colbert Show.
Speaker 5 (02:35:24):
All right, Yeah, Central Florida Expressway Authority leaders they're going
to gather tomorrow to vote on a two hundred and
eighteen million dollar expansion. It can't get any more convenient
than this of save Roade four oh eight near Camping
World Stadium. Now, the proposed expansion would include the addition
of a new eastbound lane and modernization of the tolling
(02:35:46):
system near Camping World Stadium. And because Chef's kiss on
the scheduling, you know, Camping World Stadium, they're going to
be hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars during the football season during
the twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (02:35:58):
Yeah, football season.
Speaker 5 (02:35:59):
Yeah, yeah, that would coincide with ongoing construction. If the
expansion is approved. Good job, good job, all right, have all.
Speaker 3 (02:36:07):
Next year they're they're refurbishing this stadium all next year.
Speaker 5 (02:36:12):
Yeah, all next year, refurbishing the stadium and then going
to make it three times as difficult to get that yah. Yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 2 (02:36:17):
All right.
Speaker 5 (02:36:18):
Hundreds of items, many suspected of being counterfeit, were seized
by the Ocoe Police Department at the West Oaks Mall yesterday. Now,
Kobe PD had a search warrant for two of the stores.
Turns out investigators were able to determine that the designer
labeled items, you know, Louis Vauton Chanel, those cheap things
were indeed counterfeit. What the items were collected as evidence
(02:36:41):
for ongoing charges.
Speaker 4 (02:36:43):
Oh my wife doesn't hear about this.
Speaker 2 (02:36:44):
I'm gonna tell you something. Look you go to the mall.
Le's fine, no problem. They used to sell this stuff
on Sundays and Sandford right downtown at that plaza little area.
That dude would set up in a tent like a
ural radio tent. They would be out there. Cops would
walk by and that dude would be selling Fa Louise,
fake Gucci's, fake all this up and it was fake
af and they would just walk right by it. And
(02:37:05):
we never figured out how they did that.
Speaker 5 (02:37:07):
My favorite would be in Chinatown in New York City,
go to buy all of your best counterfeit stuff. So
with the walkie talkies, as soon as they saw one
cop down the block. Those walkie talkies would start singing,
and pretty soon black garbage bags and people just runing.
Speaker 2 (02:37:21):
A girl I knew you used to play New York
once a year with an empty suitcase and should go
to Chinatown and load up on all that stuff and
bring it back down there for all her girlfriends.
Speaker 3 (02:37:29):
Oh, and I was a manager at Kalico Jackson went
to Chinatown, got three silk ties or ten bucks.
Speaker 5 (02:37:33):
Let's go one time in Chinatown. They said, just come
upstairs in this factory you can will show you our showroom.
We're about three flights up going. I wonder if we're
gonna come out of this a lot.
Speaker 4 (02:37:42):
Oh, this is also where we live exactly.
Speaker 5 (02:37:44):
And then finally a new study finds this is the
most caring city in the country.
Speaker 2 (02:37:50):
Orlando, No, No, it's not even close.
Speaker 5 (02:37:53):
Virginia Beach, Virginia here where clips is from. No.
Speaker 2 (02:37:57):
I know that's a deep cup by the way, super deep.
Anybody I should.
Speaker 5 (02:38:02):
Get street for that study by wallet Hope compare the
top one hundred populated cities in the country and found
Virginia Beach ranked first overall. The metrics to use included
caring for the community, caring for vulnerable populations and carrying
in the workforce. But let's be honest, people, it's really Orlando.
You can see two hundred and fifty eight bikes as
living proof for that, right, yes, but in reality we're
(02:38:24):
like eightieth Oh he either way, you heard it here
first on the Jim Colbert Show.
Speaker 2 (02:38:29):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (02:38:29):
