So the under Don Cathedral in Paris is about to open,
more than five years after the fire that nearly destroyed it.
So the church has a reopening date of December seventh.
Ahead of that, there's like events that are going to
be taking place.

Fifty million dollars left in the fund that was raised
to rebuild the cathedral. That money is going to be
set aside for ongoing maintenance and preservation, including bolstering the
buildings structural integrity. They raised like a billion dollars for
reconstruction after the fire that was like in April twenty
nineteen when that all happened. So the Capital Pride Alliance

announced yesterday that the official theme for World Pride twenty
twenty five will be called the Fabric of Freedom. According
to a news release, leaders wanted the theme to reflect
quote one of unity and a global call to action
to LGBTQ plus people and their allies. They also said,
quote the fabric of the flag symbolizes the strength of
the community, the shared humanity, and the unshakable unity that

defines resilience, love and acceptance. Now next year will also
mark World Pride's fiftieth anniversary in DC, and the event
will showcase cultural events in hopes of inspiring, connecting, and
empowering the LGBTQ plus community.
