Sam and Phil have been dating for a little over a year and while Sam say things have been great for the most part, Sam knows Phil is currently lying to her. This past weekend Phil was supposed to be out of town for a work trip until Wednesday, but one of Sam’s friends actually saw Phil at the Caps game over the weekend. Sam isn’t really sure why Phil lied to her, but she asks for our help to see what’s really going on.

We call Phil pretending to send him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask Phil where he current is, Phil says DC and he asks if we can send the flowers to someone named Lacy. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:04):
War of the Roses on eternshown in your morning show.
You think your person is stepping out, we try to
figure out exactly what is going on.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Sam, Good morning, Stay good morning. This is one of the.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
More bizarre stories we've had for War the Roses. So
let's kind of walk through this first. You and Phil
have been together for how long?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Gosh, a little over a year?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
If things have been going well, you know, relatively right,
everything's been happy, everything's been fun.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yeah, yeah, no, everything's been really good.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Complaints And the reason we're doing War of the Roses
is he had told I mean in theory right now,
he's on a work trip, left last Thursday, supposed to
be back this Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Correct, that's what he says, so out of town. Y.
Has he been checking in the last couple of days.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, and you've been checking in. You've been telling me,
you know, oh, I just went to this restaurant or
you know it's a pretty here, wish you were here
or something like that, like, you know, m check in.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
But you know for a fact he is here because
on Saturday he was where he was at the Caps game,
which is crazy, okay, crazy Okay, And so I'm gonna
I'm gonna explain this to folks who don't know, because
I got your email here.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
So if we don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
At Caps games, they'll do like this bit with Chick
fil A where somebody has a giant video camera and
they have to zoom on the crowd to find where
the Chick fil A cow is.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
See you find the cow? You at Chick fil A.
It's a great it's great thing. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
So, Sam, you had a friend who happened to be
at the game and says she saw Phil in the
background next to the Chick fil A cow.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
And this friend was able to figure out where he was,
went to the section and confirmed he was there somebody
else she did.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Yes, that is like another woman. Yeah, okay, that's a.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Good friend yet friend in fact that they went over
to inspect the situation.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
That's gotta be.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
One of those things where it's like it's fireflight. You
don't even think about it. Yeah, I gotta make sure
that's not him, right there. So Sam, guys asked your
initial thought. I mean, he's told you he's on a town.
He's been sending you updates of his work trip.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
But you have a.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Photo of him in the District, Columbia this weekend.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah, I do.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Do you know, like who the other woman was?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I don't it was.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
The photo was a little bit blurry, and so I
mean it was him, but I guess in my head,
I'm still trying to justify maybe it wasn't. I don't.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Okay, Yeah, I made sure one that would make more sense, certainly,
So let's do this web sauce call from the flower company.
Off from the Flowers should go to you, certainly if
they dealt with some answers for you.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Okay, yeah, thank you?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, problem war the Roses an intern Johnny Mary shows
wore the Roses interns John in your morning show? Is
Simley recap this? It's there's a lot here. So you
and Phil been together for a year. He had told
you he was on town on a work trip, that
he left last Thursday, gets back on Wednesday. We believe
that's not true because your friend happened to see him

(03:29):
at the Capitol's game on Saturday with another woman. That's
that's correct, right, Yeah, Okay. A couple of backup questions.
Does he often travel for work? Like is it within
the realm of possibility he'd be gone for five days whatever,
the week of and before Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, lately he's he's had to go out of town
a few times. So when we first were together, it
wasn't so much, but lately it has.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Been when he's on town, I guess this past trip.
Has he facetimed you at all the last four or
five days?

Speaker 3 (04:02):
No, No, he'll say that, you know, he's you know,
out with friends after a long bit of work. And
then he'll say, you know, he's really tired and he
you know, really just wants to go to bed. But
he'll text me. Sometimes he'll call me, but no, no FaceTime.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Okay, okay, So this is either a case of mistaken
identity or he's a sociopath who is able to make
up that he he's even sending updates on restaurants and
what he's doing in a different city.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Right.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, And when I asked him FaceTime, he gets mad
and he'll you know, a choose me of not trusting him.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
So okay, okay, all right, okay, so let's do this.
We'll have sauce call from the flower company, off from
the roses. I clearly should go to you, girl friend
of a year, if they go to you. We'll put
him on hold. See what you want to do if
they go somewhere else, lookut some answers for you. Okay,
thank you, I would say to U, Saus really trying
to figure out what cities in like currently in maybe

(04:59):
say we've been running ads or something. Is I I
hope the friend was just mistaken, but like that is
bizarre audio. Chick fil A is coming in though, Chick
fil A. You're looking at Stay of the Day right,
if that is what's happening.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
So basically, like I say, like we do guerrilla marketing
based OFFICIP codes, So what city are you in?

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Just so I can make sure you're local?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, I would.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
We want to make sure their ads are running in
the right cities. Can you just let me know where
you are right now? I think maybe that would work
and hopefully we can get them that way if the
phones work.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
But so far, so good, it's been great.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Hello, Hi is this Phil?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Hi, my name is Olive. I'm just calling you from
a new flower shop. We're called MS Flowers. We're trying
out to new marketing where we're offering local people a
free bouquet of roses. Just in hopes you come back
to us. Here's the thing, is that actually something you're
interested in?

Speaker 1 (06:10):
First?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, why are you calling? Why you're calling me though?

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Well, it's it's marketing, you know. We get a whole list.
It's called I think gorilla marketing. Uh, we're doing it
based off as zip codes. So are you Are you
in the DC area? Just so I can make sure
you're actually local before I do my whole spiel.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
So what is it? It's like free flowers or something.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
Yeah, so we are new to the area and like
the holly is coming in everything. We're trying to make
sure that people will actually come and buy the loved
ones gifts here, keep your money in the local economy.
And yeah, so I just want to make sure that
you're around us before I keep wasting our time.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, yeah, I'm here. I'm in DC.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Cool, I didn't even say where we were, but look
at that. Yeah we are in DC and okay, So
is that something that you're interested in? Though? Because we
don't need any credit cards or anything, and they can
go wherever you want, Like, they don't have to stay
in DC, they can go anywhere in the US if
you want. We just want you to use our shop basically, Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I mean if it's if you don't need any cards
or anything, sure I'll help out.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Oh thank you.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
Uh okay, So let me just go down this list
really quick. So can I get a name of who
they're going to?

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Lacy? Okay? Lazy? And is Lazy in DC as well?
So you're in DC right now?

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Okay? Cool? And is she Is she in d C?
Or is it going to be you know, a national
delivery not local? Yeah, she's in DC too, sick.

Speaker 3 (07:45):

Speaker 4 (07:45):

is it like l A C e y.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
L A C l A C y Okay?

Speaker 3 (07:58):

Speaker 4 (07:58):

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Girlfriend?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
She she she's a little some special.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Someone sam some special pic. Sure, I'll put friend go,
I'll put girlfriend just in case you come back. I
don't want Lisa come back. And then it's her sister,
you know, and I'm talking about how she's her wife
like that would be really embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
For my mom, right right right, okay, And when we
want the car to say, it's just your typical little
flower card just put can't wait to see her tonight.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Wait when will she get them?

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Will she say do you want? Do you want them? Today?
Her to get them today? I can have my brother
run them over.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah, she can get them today.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Just put on the car and can't wait to see
her tonight.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Okay, all right, perfect?

Speaker 3 (08:49):

you're currently in and where you've been the last four days.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
I don't understand how you even said.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
How did you figure this out? Even?

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Why?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Why are you lying about where you are?

Speaker 4 (10:28):
I was, I was on a trip for work and
early so I'm glad.

film Phil real quick. So you were supposed to leave
on Thursday. Here's timeline. Thursday supposed to leave. Okay, today
is Monday. We know you're at the Capitols game on Saturday,
so with the trip just twenty four hours and then
you were going to tell your girlfriend until you're supposed
to go back on Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
It's weird if you're hiring from a girlfriend. Is that
like a red flag? You think?

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Phil?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Did your brain break?

Speaker 3 (11:02):
