Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date update internshown in your morning show. Go out
with somebody, you think maybe there's a spark, maybe things
going your way, but then they stopped talking you we
tracked the big exactly what is going on?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Alex? Good morning, Good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Hey, So walk us through this, because in your own words,
you and Nina have been doing a slow burn the
last month and a half or so. So you guys
first met where.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
So we first met at happy hour?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
But so let me back a lit about I'm sorry,
but you guys mashed on Hinge first though, right, I
know that was your first like date.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
See yeah, sorry, no, you're good.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah, so we were both on hinge. Yep, so we
first met on Hinge. We're both on Hinge. We matched,
we met up at a happy hour at some remember
we had a good time though. Yeah and yeah, so yeah,
like that's a month and a half we've been dating.
We went to dinner a couple of times. Finally we
(00:59):
actually got to hang out with like our different friend
groups and like I got to meet her friends and
she got to beat a couple of mine at one.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Point, which that's that's a pretty big step.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
So and just to kind of clarify the timeline, So
a month and a half ago mash on Hinge. Since then,
we've had drinks, you guys have done dinner, and then
this past weekend that's when like the friend groups met,
which that's a pretty big step. And how the friend
meets go. Do they seem like they knew about you?
They were excited to talk to you.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, I mean they were excited to deal with actually
know the whole all night went time, right up until
the end, where I don't know, I feel like I
got a couple of weird looks when everyone was like
splitting at the end of the night. I don't know
what was up with that, but I don't know the
whole like we were partying.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
And so and that was on Friday. You haven't heard
from her since, which ro almost I mean nearly getting
a weekend. Yeah, and so you've tried to reach out
and just nothing, no response, not even like a hey.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yeah, and trying to reach out. I want to push
it too hard because like Thanksgiving coming out, and she's
probably working with a family to figure something out. But yeah,
I'm worried and I wanted to see if I could.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah, I mean, it is a weird week, like as
far as like it could be work stuff going on,
could be to your point, family stuff.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yes, if you're worried, have has she like posted anything?
It's a good question, like on our story or something.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, so I don't know. I haven't seen anything from
her anything about like anything that could be going on
in her life. But yeah, I don't. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
I mean again, but I do want to.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Obviously we'll call her, but it is, like I know,
for us, the week of vacation is always like the
most chaotic because it is everything. So it could just
be that. So let's do uh this, Alex. We'll call Nina,
trag you around with us and see what her side is.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Okay, okay, cool?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
One second? Yeah, see if we can.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Get hello, Hi, calling for Nina please, that's me, Hey girl,
it's intern John. I got Sauce and Rose here as well.
(03:27):
Can we talk to you on the show real quick,
just for like a minute, nothing bad? This seemed like
sixty seconds time. Okay, perfect, We're doing a second date update.
I got somebody on the hold here, Alex who wants
to say hello. Okay, nailed it all right, nail all
right there it is nailed it a couple of times,
and so Nina, Alex reached out to us. He told us,
(03:48):
you guys have matched on a hinge about month and
a half ago, gone on a couple of dates, been dayteen,
and then this past weekend, I did a little happy
hour with your friend groups.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
But he is not hear from you.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
So we're calling to see kind of where your thoughts
are at, where your head's at, and where you see
this going forward.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
Okay, Well, I didn't even know he was interested, Like,
I can't believe he's even asking about it now.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
First of all, Okay, you got you up by haven't
you guys been going on dates the last month?
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Okay, but if you're really interested in a woman, then
you're going to try everything you can to get her
to be exclusive with you, right, Like, if you're going
to go to the effort of meeting with her friends,
you should buy them a drink.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Right.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
He didn't even buy my friends one drink?
Speaker 7 (04:38):
Okay, how many friends were there?
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Not that that should necessarily change the thing, but like,
I don't, I don't think my brain works that way.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Like five okay, waiting, Okay, So Nina, you're you were
upset that he did not buy your friends shrinks?
Speaker 7 (04:57):
Yeah? Okay?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
And had he we are we saying like picked up
their whole tab or just got like a round of shots.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
I mean, yeah, whatever they want. He's a gentleman. He
should be making an effort with the people I love.
Speaker 7 (05:14):
Did he buy you drinks at night or just no one,
just himself?
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Well, he bought me.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
He bought me an espresso martini. Okay, that's a good
twenty bucks right there.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Okay, so I missed confused because if he's just trying
to date you, why would he buy other people drinks?
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Well, I don't want to date somebody who's stingy, you know,
I want to date somebody who's gonna be it.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
But prior prior to this interaction, had he paid for
the other dates?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (05:47):
Okay, it's like I don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Okay, okay, so let me do this. I'm gonna put
you guys in hold. Are you team Nina or team Alex?
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Eight seven seven nine four six State one to call
nine nine three three eight to ten. It's second date
update on Intern John.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Your Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Second Date Update Intern John in Your Morning Shelby's talked
to Alex and Nina. They were going on dates for
about a month. She blew them off after last week
they had a friend meet up. She was upset that
he did not buy drinks for her entire party, not
just her. Your thoughts eight seven, seven, nine, nine five
four six state one to call, nine ninety three three
(06:23):
eight to text, well we get you in hold Shelby
saucy thoughts.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
I think she's a little de lulu.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (06:30):
I'm never just it's a nice one.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
The guy that you're just seeing, or just the guy
you're dating in general, buys drinks for your friend.
Speaker 7 (06:37):
Sure, I would never ever expect that.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Even the guy that my friend recently started dating, he
bought us drinks and stuff, and I thought that was
really nice.
Speaker 7 (06:45):
It's definitely brownie points.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
But I would never go into something assuming that you
would buy my friend's drinks.
Speaker 7 (06:51):
It's so odd, Like it's not a deal breaker.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
It's not a deal breaker. I wouldn't expect it. And
it's like you're dating me. Sure, my friends come along
with the package for but they can also buy their
own drinks.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Especially. Yeah, that's it's like people you.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
Need be doing that, Like that's expensive. Yeah, you'll need
be doing that thoughts.
Speaker 8 (07:11):
It just kind of comes across as a little gold digger. Yeah,
Like because obviously five friends a new and him, like,
that's a lot of drinks.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
This is on a.
Speaker 7 (07:21):
Pricey I probably wouldn't be able to swing that.
Speaker 8 (07:24):
No, so her being mad about it, it's almost more
like she's upset that he doesn't have the money to
fund the lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Interesting, it's a good point, that's there. Let me go
in fair facts, Heather, Good morning, Hi, good morning guys.
What'd you want to say with this, Heather, No.
Speaker 9 (07:43):
I agree with Shelby and Rose for sure.
Speaker 10 (07:46):
I think it's a little gold diggery and it's like
not present day.
Speaker 9 (07:50):
Like it's nice for him to maybe offer.
Speaker 10 (07:53):
To buy like around the shops for her friends if
they're out for like a long night and they're all
drinking together as a group, But as long as he's
like offering like to pay on the first date or
I mean.
Speaker 9 (08:03):
That's even super generous. Yeah, So I'm totally came Alex.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
So this was heaven.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Thank you for listening, have a great day, Thank you,
thankgiving you too, Thank you so much. Well, now there's
point two five people easily could be over a thousand
dollars and.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
If you're just find the first one and they're like, oh,
he's not gonna buy me a second one, that's a
lot of money.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, and then what do you do for his friends?
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Ye?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
You're also exactly Yeah, let me go, Anna, Marie, good morning,
good morning. Are you doing well? What'd you want to
say with this?
Speaker 3 (08:35):
So?
Speaker 11 (08:35):
I feel like she's more so like money hungry rather
than wanting to get to know him. You know, it's
not you have to have your friends included in everything,
Like you met your friends school. That's fine, But he's
there for her, not for her friends.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah, so you know, yes, your kind of point is
a Marie. As long as he's taking care of her,
that's really be all the matters.
Speaker 11 (08:55):
Yeah, Like the friends can pay for their own thing.
I'm for Amanda, dude, but he doesn't have to take choice.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, thank you for listening.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Have a great day you too, Bye, let me go, Shavin,
good morning, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
What'd you want to say with second day out dates? Shavon?
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Yeah, I think I'm definitely team Alex. I think maybe
if he met like two or three of her best
friends and they were just going out for like one
round of drinks and maybe, but I really don't think
it's ever been an expectation, at least nothing that.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Me and my friends have ever seen.
Speaker 6 (09:30):
I think that there might just be a misalignment of
like values here because if that's like all that she
chalks it up to of him being interested is like
whether or not he buys all of her friends' drengths,
Like I just don't like, maybe it's not the right.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
They'd be a huge shut off for me personally as Yeah,
vibe for sure, chavon, thank you for listening, you have
a great day.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
Exact thank you, thank you?
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Is I guessing my thought would be, are you expecting
me to do this every time we're all out together?
Speaker 7 (10:00):
Also the audacities, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (10:02):
I think it would be different if like he initiated saying, hey,
let's have your friends meet us for drinks, for sure, Yeah,
if it was like his idea. But if like this
is where you're going to meet my friends, like, that's
not that's not the vibe.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Yeah, I do disagree. If you want to tea ever,
text you can nine ninety three three eight. You want
to do a second date update, dms are upen at
