The DC mayor, Muriel Bowser is hopeful that the usaid

city control.

The mayor was asked about the depending bill yesterday and
she told reporters that DC has done everything in its
power to move the legislation forward. They're hoping to have
an answer by the end of the week. Washington Commander's
owner Josh Harris has reportedly assured political leaders in Maryland
that he will redevelop the team's stadium site.

In Landover if the Commanders moved to another.

Location, and Bowser says she believes everything everyone involved in
the process is working in good faith.

So there's some heartbreaking news.

From Madison, Wisconsin, and there was a school shooting at
the Abundant Life Christian School, which is a K through
twelve school.

And that happened late yesterday morning.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
A student and a teacher were killed and six others
were injured, and two of those six wounded were in
critical condition as of last night.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
The suspect.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Was identified as a fifteen year old girl. She also
died from what authorities believed to be a self inflicted
gunshot wound. And even sadder, the original nine to one
one call from came from a second grade students.

Just so sad.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
And the holiday skating rink at DC's National Building Museum
is getting noticed for using something other.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Than frozen water. So the indoor.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Rink it opened yesterday is using a synthetic material that
some skaters said was more slippery than water based ice.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
I don't know if that's a good thing.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Now, it's horrendous for your skates, Okay, if you if
you bring your own skates, give them sharpened back towards
because it's destroyzer skates. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
So the rink is part of the DC Downtown.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
DC Holiday Skates Spectacular, is of promotion designed to draw
more people downtown during the holiday. Skating is free to
the public five dollars rental for skates, So if you
don't want to wear your own five ubs, I guess.
And that rink is open every day except Tuesday and
Wednesday through January fourth. I'm ROSA. Are the three things
