Wildfires in California are still burning in the death toll
from the Los Angeles fires continues to climb, reaching twenty
four confirmed fire related deaths as of last night. Officials
have said that they expect the confirmed death toll to
rise further in the coming days. White House officials said
yesterday that over twenty four thousand people have registered for
FEMA assistant since President Biden approved a major Disaster declaration

last week, and Governor knew Some announced yesterday afternoon that
he's deployed another one thousand members of the National Guard.
And I found interesting. The Los Angeles Unified School District
announced that some schools are reopening today, depending on their location.
So yeah, I was like, okay, well that sounds positive,

right now. So the demolition of our Ka Stadium is
expected to ramp up in the next few weeks. Events
DC posted an update on its website over the weekend
saying traffic around the stadium site will increase beginning today.
Some parts of the interior of the stadium have been
demolished and contractors will keep doing that and start removing
parts of the exterior, but a timeline of the complete

demolition has not been announced. But look like they're they're moving.

And the National Zoo has obviously we know that the
tickets are free, but they have tickets available for the
upcoming debut of its two newest guests, their giant pandas
bo Lei and ching Bao, which can be seen by
the general public beginning January twenty fourth. So that's what
next Friday, Very soon, very exciting. So the Zoo's website

is still showing some free passes available, but you do
need to reserve them in advance. Parking passes are also
available for thirty dollars. And yeah, so with the winter hours,
they're only going to be open between eight am and
four pm. So if you want to go see the
pandas for their debut, make sure you go do that.
