Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date update on Internshohn in your morning shall you
meet somebody could be on the apps, could be out
in the wild, but you think this person is different.
You think there's a vibe. We try to see what
goes wrong, why they stop talking to you. That's what
we're here for, Matt, Good morning, Good mornings. So walk
(00:20):
us through this. You and Hannah met where and how?
I guess?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Okay, So Hannah and I met on Hinge? Okay, I'm
about two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
And what about Hannah on Hinge made her stand out?
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Like?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Why why her?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
I thought she was really really attractive, but she also
seemed really smart. Okay, and I'm gonna truck both of
those things.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
And you mentioned an email you made a point of
taking things slow. So how long do we talk on
the app before we got numbers?
Speaker 2 (00:48):
So we're talking on the app for about two weeks okay.
And I wanted to kind of keep it like a
low profile, so we talked a little bit enough to
garner interest, but not to overdo it, you.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, that makes me. I think that's the hard part.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Like you, you have to realize you have met this
person yet, and it just seems like they're the one
for sure. Okay, so we do that. We had dinner
last Friday, correct, correct, yep, okay? And so how long
I guess from matching to seeing each other for the first.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Day, Like what was the how many days in between.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
From matching? Because I would say maybe about ten to
fourteen days?
Speaker 3 (01:29):
That was okay, And so tell us how dinner goes.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
So dinner went really really well. We didn't talk much
of the day of the date. But you know, essentially
I wanted to have things to talk about while you know,
we were meeting face to say.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
So, but you can you can firm the day though, right,
so they can I ask the big thing like the
day of d you text like, hey, so make sure
we're on right?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Oh yeah, gotcha? Ok yeah, yeah, gotcha?
Speaker 2 (01:56):
All right, all of that, I went, I picked her up,
or actually rather I wanted to pick her up, but
she said that she would meet me there, so I said, okay,
you know, no problem, and so we met there.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
We both got there on time.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
We had what I thought was a really great time.
Dinner was great. I feel like there was some chemistry,
and you know, I took her home. There wasn't too
much after that. I mean we we we hugged like
had like a small little kid from the cheeks, nothing
super crazy, wanted to keep it, you know, modest, sure,
(02:33):
and it was overall a great night.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
And this this was on Friday, last Friday, and you've
not heard from her since.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I have not heard from her since. So I facetimed,
you know, a couple of times I called at text,
but I didn't want to overdo it, you know, like
it's still.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Very new, So I I just haven't heard from her.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I'm gonna be honest, I'd be confused too, because I
get like, if as a woman wanting to meet somebody
somewhere instead of picking up I get that. But the
fact that she felt comfortable enough with you that you
could take her home though, to me, suggests it must
have gone well. It seems like it'd be an odd
thing if like she didn't have a good time and goes, well,
he can bring me home. So yeah, So two questions
(03:17):
I have left. So you left things thinking like for
sure it'll be a second date?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah? Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
And then how long have you both been single? Just
just kind of paint the picture.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
I want we've both been single that's a good, good question.
I've been single for quite some time.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Okay, but I worked, Yeah, I gotcha, gotcha got I.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Think I want to say Hannah was single for a
good amount of time as well, like a reasonable amount
of time.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Sure, yeah, I was curious. So let's let's do this then, Matt.
So I'll I'll call Hannah. We'll drag your out with
us and get her side.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Okay, okay, sounds great.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
One second.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, I guess the car at home to me is
the interesting part.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah, yeah, I'll disagree. Hello, Hi, is this Hannah?
Speaker 5 (04:13):
This is Hannah.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Hey, Hannah, it's intern John. I got Sauce and Rose
here as well. We talked to you on the show
real quick about something.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Nothing bad. Just need like U I on like forty
five seconds of your time.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Uh sure, I guess, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Okay, so we're doing second date update.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
I got somebody on the line here, Matt, if you
want to say hello, Hey, nailed it, and so Hannah.
Matt reached out to us. He told us, you guys
are matched on hinge. You've been talking for a couple
of weeks. We had dinner last Friday, but he has
not heard from you since and we're trying to see
where your head's at and trying to help him out too,
because we're a little bit puzzled.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Well, hello, Yes, we went on a date the other day,
and I have been avoiding him.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
I have.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
We got that. We kind of figured that.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I guess more here more so for the why, because
we can't really from what he's told us.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
So, Okay, the date was amazing.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
It was great, but he.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Offended me and I didn't quite know how to address
it or how to say something, but it really offended me. So,
like I said, the date was amazing, and when it
came time for the bill, I asked him, Okay, well
let me pay my part of the bill because I
don't want any man taking care of me or paying
(05:36):
my way or anything like that. I worked very hard
and I can afford my lifestyle and I can afford
to pay for things. And he no, I got it.
I asked you out of the day, and he just
went back and forth. And at that part, I just
started to get offended and I felt like he didn't
think that I could afford the food.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Okay, So I was just really offended.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I'm not passing Josh yeah to this I understand. So
you you were upset that he paid for the date? Yes, okay, okay,
And so because of that you'd rather not see him again?
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Yes, because at that point I felt I was offended
and I felt disrespected because I said to him, let
me pay. The date was it was. It was a
mutual agreement. It's not like he asked me on a date.
It was like, not like I asked him on a date.
It was we should meet, So we meet, then I'm
(06:37):
expected to pay for myself. I don't need anybody pay
for me. And I just felt very disrespected in that moment.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
Do you think then maybe he just you know, because
I feel like I've done on dates where I'm like,
oh no, I'll pay and he's just being a gentleman.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, very nice.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
So for me, in my head, it was, okay, this
will be the start of a whole bunch of not literally,
it's this relationship continue.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Well, let's just I'm gonna put you guys on hold
real quick. Are your team, Matt, Are your team? Hannah
eight seven, seven, nine ninety five for six state one
to call, nine ninety three three eight to text and
second date updates on intern John Your Morning Show. Second
date updates on intern John in Your Morning Show. We
just talked to Matt and Hannah. They matched on Hinge.
They had a first date last week. He had not
(07:26):
heard from her. According to her, she was offended that
he would not let her pay for the meal. Whose
sidey you on eight seven seven, nine ninety five four
six state one to call, nine ninety three three eight
to text so we get you on hold Shelby sauce
you were in the dating field.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah, your thoughts.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
I think she should have just said it, though. I
understand that it's like miscommunication. She wanted what she wanted,
because I guess sometimes you know, like if you let
someone pay sometimes maybe they expect more.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
But use your words, just say that.
Speaker 6 (07:56):
It sounds like she just didn't like him, and then
she just kind of has this as like the idea.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Of why, like he used as excuse me.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
I mean, maybe it really is the reason why she
doesn't want to see him again, but it seems like
she just wasn't into him. Yeah, personally, but I think
it's kind of ridiculous personally.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
That's just me.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
That's just me.
Speaker 7 (08:15):
It seems like a bit of a reach for her
to like assume that that is his thought process to
like buying her meal. Like, I never once when I
was dating thought when a guy, do you know, did
he bought the meal? Never once did I think this
(08:35):
man thinks I can't afford this? Yeah, never once did
that ever cross my mind. I just thought he's being
a gentleman. That's very nice of him. Let me say
thank you. I don't know where that thought comes from.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Well, I was going to say, without knowing anything about
her history, to me, that's a pretty negative view of things.
So something maybe happened to trigger that.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
That possibly.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
Even I'm saying so, I was like, it seems like
a reach first of all, but also maybe she should
have just said she should just use her words, I think, though.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
I agree, Yeah, because I just think that everybody deserves
to be treated well. Yeah, and like if you're a
lady on date, deserve to be treated like a princess.
So if a guy does that and you assume there's
an ulterior motive, like, clearly something probably triggered that. I'm
not a therapist, but I just think as a dude,
it's like, how can you win?
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Brother?
Speaker 6 (09:22):
Yeah, I mean I think it's like you'll lose lose situation.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
It sounds like, oh yeah, let me give him Fairfax cat,
Good morning, morning.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
What do you want to say with this girl? This
girl's ridiculous. I mean, I agree with you all the
same thing I always say, who can darn it? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (09:44):
My god?
Speaker 3 (09:47):
How mad I got?
Speaker 8 (09:48):
Like I just I don't get it, Like there are
times I have to pay for me and a guy
like I'm tired of you.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I'd rather have a guide pay for me, and he's like.
Speaker 8 (09:55):
Volunteering, being siverous about it, like what, Yeah, ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Cat, thank you for listening to have a great day.
Thanks you too. By Let's go in Largo, Tamar, good morning,
Good morning. What do you want to say with second
date update?
Speaker 8 (10:14):
I think this ship has got issues really that goes
deeper than this date.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Yeah, what I'm here, I'm.
Speaker 8 (10:20):
Like, this is insane. The man is being a nice guy.
I mean, what way overthinking it? She couldn't say suggested,
you know what, second day, I'll pick up the check, okay,
But to go to this extreme to disrespectful and what?
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Crazy?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yeah, I think we've all.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Been ship ditcher.
Speaker 9 (10:42):
Move on, We've all been legit disrespected on dates that's
been like, yeah, the story, thank you for listening, have
a great day, Thank you you too, Bane let me
go and be more, said good morning.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
What do you want to say?
Speaker 4 (10:59):
I to agree with everybody. I feel like she needs therapy.
Something in her past was the trigger this, because this
man is being she said, the date was amazing, everything
was great, and then he offended me by paying. Girl please,
oh my god, Like the rest of us are sitting
(11:20):
here like what's men's number? Because you want to pay.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
For your day? Like are you crazy?
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
And that's the reason why you.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Don't you gost him.
Speaker 8 (11:30):
You go to guy who doesn't.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Want to pay, like not the one who does, like
you're crazy crazy. I just feel like it sends mixed
signals to most men. Most women want that guy who's
gonna pay, And then you get people like this who
like like freak the men out, Like now they don't
know what to do.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Should I pay next time?
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Should I not pay?
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Is she gonna go to me like insane? Now disagree
with me? Said thank you for listening. You have a
great day, you too, by uh yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
To that point, as a dude who's single, I'm confused
about things anyway.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
But now more I'm like, I don't even know.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
But I also think that if you're just he was
just being a gentleman, like if he had done something
that was like not great and then she just like
high spial from there. Sure, But if you're just a
gentleman and you have manners and then you treat each
other with respect, it's not even about paying. It's just like,
I don't I don't understand this.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Yeah, exactly, it'd be different, guess to your points if
he insinuated she couldn't afford it.
Speaker 6 (12:28):
That's what I'm saying, that they'd be different. Like when
I went on that day the summer and the guy
like this. The second he sat down, he was like,
are you a redneck? And that does not hurt my
feelings because I'm from passing, you know. But I was like,
what I'm in this? Like long cute trust like what
about me.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
To eat roadkill? Yeah? I do.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
I put also get well soon balloons on them first
until you know there it is my friend's.
Speaker 1 (12:49):

we're false. You can decide which one it was. The
saucy roge kill or should put balloons out the animals?
