even if they are sitting right next to said coworker.

Okay, well, I guess it's like you're not friends with
them and you don't and like some people are just
awkward when you talk to them in person.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Yeah, I mean, I know, like I what is Jens.
It's eighteen to twenty seven, right.

I think so my brother Sendsey, he's like on a CUSP.

Okay, So I like the.

Kids, like I coach high school hockey and they are
a little bit socially awkward. And I think the pandemic had.

A lot, say yeah, ninety seven to twenty twelve. Yeah,
the pandemic definitely, Oh yeah, for everyone, especially them s.
They are like in such a developmental time for sure.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
So new forty percent gen Z is more comfortable communicating
over text or email than face to face. Sure, forty
eight percent would even rather do it when sitting next
to the person, just because it's more convenient.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I just feel so awkward.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Unless you unless you're multitasking or something, but you're busy,
but like that'd be I mean, do I stare at you.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Them for the response? Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean,
that's yeah. I don't love that. I don't like that.

Seventy four percent admit they overall, folks admit they struggled
to make conversation with coworkers when they run into them
in the office or the elevator. I think that elevator's
awkward because you can't really start a full conversation.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Super awkward, especially if it's like an older coworker and
you just don't have a lot to relate to them
on h So that makes sense.

You only have like five seconds like how are you good? Yeah, right, sailor.
And for us, like we're usually leaving when folks get here.

Yeah, so there's that, that's true. Yeah.

Twenty eight percent even avoid the kitchen all together because
they're worried they'll get in a situation where they.

Have to make chit chat. Yeah, I mean I do
that myself.

It's like, I don't know, if you like just hear
