Speaker 1 (00:00):
This from the city that changes the world.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Peers rose with three things you need to know?

Speaker 3 (00:06):
You said yes by Shepanese. Then we got for your
quesday Rose Scotpris.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
So Chris continued to work in the Potomac River to
remove the wreckage of American Airline Flight fifty three forty
two and the military black Hawk helicopter from the water.
The pieces were placed on a flapped trailer to be
taken to a hangar to be examined by investigators. Now
the major goal for today is to bring the cockpit
of the plane to the surface, and yesterday while they
were removing pieces, there were multiple stoppages because their recovery efforts.

(00:36):
To the recovery efforts after finding additional human remains, I
read a report that there are still twelve that they
are searching for. So Washington Commander's owner Josh Harris is
thanking fans for their support after the team's very successful season.
One of the big takeaways was Harris said there are
no plans to change the team's name, though the Commanders
will do more to honor their pass in the upcoming

(00:58):
seasons because there's been talk of a potential name change
and he's like no, You're going to see us move
back towards honoring our past and bringing it together with
our future.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
That's what he said.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
He also said he had no new information about the
Commander's possible return to DC, saying the team is talking
with all interested parties about the next steps in the
stadium process, so I'll keep you updated once we know more.
And Super Bowl fifty nine is this Sunday, and it
is the second biggest eating holiday after Thanksgiving, which I
was kind of shocked by the maybe like Christmas, but no,

(01:32):
it's the Super Bowl. So it's predicted that Americans will
spend ready for this seventeen point three billion dollars, thank God,
on food, drinks, and other purchases, which would be a
new records for passing the seventeen point two billion spent
in twenty twenty. One of the big food items chicken wings.
The National Chicken Council estimates that Americans will eat over

(01:53):
one point four billion chicken wings and that's enough for each
person in the US, every single person of the US,
to have four wings. So if you are inviting friends over,
now is pretty much the time to stock up on
the essential food to so that some things might be
a little more expensive. I know, like avocados are kind
of a little pricier than normal, and especially with like
the bird flu going around, I'm sure chicken wings, both

(02:14):
prices are going to be a bit too.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Rose.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Those are the three things you need to know for
the day.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Thank you, Ros, You're welcome. Real quick. On the name
change thing, I've realized it's a pain the ass change
in NAA sports seeing. Well, yeah, there's so many trademarks.
So there's a hockey team in Utah, the NHL right now,
they're called the Utah Hockey Club. Yeah, they announced the
names they are going to change, shoot so that fans
vote on. Yeah, and those names included Yetti, Blizzard, and
Venom Yeti. The trademark office said, hey, you can't trademark

(02:42):
any of those, so they had to scrap all.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Names because yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, especially YEI yeah, yeah,
because you think of Yeti, you think of the Tumblers,
the Tumblers.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, So at this point, I mean, is the name
the best?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
No, come on, you tall do some homework before you
start talking about it.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Oh man, it takes somebody to trademark something, and then
it's like.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
You've gotta've been trying to come up with a name
for that hockey team for quite some time. Yes, Like
it didn't take the Commanders nearly as long to start
like throwing names out there.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
They're the football team for a minute. I mean, never
forget they were.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
They were.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I forgot about that

Speaker 1 (03:20):
