Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the City that Changes the World, Peers Rose with
three things you need to know for.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
You Monday Rose.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Okay, So just because there is a tax loophole video
that goes viral on TikTok does not.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Mean you should use it.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
So there are a lot of videos, especially with it
being tax season, that are coming out about these different
in fights and strategies that are claiming to be helpful.
A lot of times it's not accurate information, it's misleading,
or it could just be completely accurate. So some of
the videos are suggesting, like you hire your kids, there
are very specific requirements if you're doing that. Basically, like

(00:41):
they're saying, oh, you can pay them most employees. That's
not entirely true. Other videos are saying, like rite form
an LLC to write off personal expenses. Don't do that.
That's that's not how that works. So following tax advice
from TikTok could end up costing you in penalties, back
taxes owed, and a just basically be a huge hasshole.

(01:02):
So just hire a professional who can tell you if
it actually can be written off or not. So the
Washington Commanders are acquiring wide receiver Deebo Samuel senior from
the San Francisco forty nine ers in exchange for a
fifth round draft pick. So the deal is pending a
physical and won't actually be official until March twelfth, which

(01:23):
is the first day of the league here, but very
exciting news. And US figure skaters paid tribute to the
lives loss in the middle collision near Reagan National Airport
last month. During yesterday's legacy on ice at Capital One Arena.
It was a sold out crowd. They're over fifteen thousand
tickets sold. The exact total raise is not yet publicly available.

(01:43):
I believe organizers are hoping that more donations will come
in after the event, but obviously it was very emotional.
More than two dozen young figure skaters, coaches and family
members had died in the crash, so proceeds from the
show will go to support the families of those killed
in the crash and the first responders who work during
the rescue and recovery efforts. Now, if you want to

(02:06):
see any of it, the event aired live on Monumental
Sports Network and streamed on Peacock. But NBC is going
to show an encore performance on March thirtieth, so mark
your calendars for that I'm Rose. Those are the three
things you need to know for the today. Thank you Rose,
You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I'm excited now. It's this every now and then the
show we do bad Tattoo Poker or people call in
with their bad tattoos, and it's always something good. If
you have a tattoo that you don't like and you
want to get rid of. Today were launching our bad
Tattoo Battle, brought to you by nor Esthetics. So here's
how it's going to work. If you have a black

(02:41):
ink tattoo that maybe you got in spring break, maybe
you gotten it was an ex, whatever it may be,
go to Hot ninety nine to five dot com slash tattoo,
submit your bad tattoo. Our paneled experts are going to
pick the top tattoos. Then we're gonna have kind of
like a battle royale of people voting for which tattoo
is the worst one. The worst one you get removed

(03:02):
by Norris Sthetic. So to me, very fun. I'm excited
to see the tattoos person.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
They're always so good, like so bad that it's just
purely entertaining to look through.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
And the question is always why to the person that
got it to the person the person that gave it,
you know what I mean. So, if you have a
black ink tattoo that you want to get removed, our
bad tattoo battle is officially open. Hot ninety nine five
dot com slash too slash tattoo huge thanks to Norris Setic.
You have until March seventh to submit your tattoo, then

(03:33):
the voting will start the following week. I'm excited for it.
Hot nadim five dot com slash tattoo real quick. I'm
not too sure why this is being put out now.
There's a bank that accidentally credited a customer with eighty
one trillion dollars instead of two and eighty. The way
I would I would leave my car there and I

(03:57):
would walk into the ocean like somebody's gonna kill me
this ze.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I would panic if I saw that many zeros in
my bank account.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
So they're saying it was a quote fat finger input
error by an employee. So City Group, which is one
of America's Big four lenders, accidentally transferred eighty one trillion
dollars the account last April instead of the two hundred
and eighty requested because of a keyboard mistake. By a
bank staffer. I don't know how you would realize, Yeah,
all those extra zeros, you would think it's also the

(04:26):
right number.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
What did what did? How did does that happen? Because
I feel like if you hit a like I'm holding
zero down on my keyboard right now and there's one
zero yep, So what I mean maybe it's a different
keyboard where you just hold it in it like just adds.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's worse zeros, it's worse mass. So the huge sum
worth more than twenty times Britain's entire gross domestic product,
was approved after being checked by two of the bank's
employees before being sent to the customer account for the
following morning. Hold on, so two people are like, yeah,
that looks good, that looks light through it.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, this seems like an inside like there has to
be an investigation because there no way that there's that
many zeros. It doesn't trigger any red flags along the way.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Well, the payment was only flag after a third employee
notice the problem with the Wall Street Giants' overall balances. Yeah,
because all a sudd you're missing eighty one troy dollars. Yeah.
Ninety minutes after the payment between two separate city accounts
have been made, the Financial Times reported, so they were
able to reverse transaction a few hours later, with no
funds actually leaving the bank, so they say. But still,

(05:35):
they say, our detective controls promptly identified the inputting error
between two city accounts. We reverse the entry. Yeah, I
all know. That's just one of those things again where
it's like I would be so freaked out, like this
is like somebody setting me up. Did you call the
bank like, hey, I don't have eighty one. I don't
even know what that number is. If I saw it,

(05:56):
like this is.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Like that's weird. Would you rather not know? Like they
put the money into your account and then all of
a sudden it's gone. But I'm sure in your account
records you can see that there was money added and.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Then get out for sure, or get an vacation.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Would you rather log into your account and see all
those zeros or log into your account see that everything's normal,
but when you're going through to the numbers, you're like,
wait a second, what happened here?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I would probably rather be taken care of. I would
put I think of a panic attack if I saw
that much money. But all I want to.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Call the Bank regardless, it would be like, why is
there what is this transaction? Why is there so many zeros?
What happened here? That is a no go nothing intern
