Speaker 1 (00:00):
Turns on and your morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Happy Tuesday, friends, Welcome to the show. Sauce, Hello, Hello,
Rose Hi, Hi, got to Eric here, Hoodie Savera nine
ninety three three eight to text DMS open at WYMUS Radio.
I think this is interesting to try out for your Tuesday.
Nothing worse than when you're in a bar and you're
trying to have a conversation.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
And what yeah, huh, I can hear you.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
And then you decide do I ask for a third
time or has to pretend that I heard them?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, you know what I mean, yeah and.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Go yeah uh huh.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I asked you if your fair of colors green and blue? Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I thought you said? Is that somebody I knew?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
So, science has found a trick to help you hear
better in bars.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I need this.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I can never hear kaz so uh, they say, try
tapping your fingers. So researchers in France test the people's
hearing by having them listen to someone talk, but made
it harder by adding background noise. Okay, for some reason,
they could pick up more words in each sentence when
they tapped their finger, like on.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Another finger or on anything something.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
So they say it worked if they tapped along to
a beat or rhythm at their own pace. They think
it comes down to our brains are wired. The part
that controls my motor functions is somehow intertwined the part
that controls hearing.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Oh, I'm gonna try this. I can never hear it.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I can barely hear when there's no sound.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Like my friends don't always make fun of me. They're like, oh,
Shelby just can't hear it now, So unless you say
Shelby and then she can hear that a mile away.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
That's true, they say it. Tapping or moving to melody
can help your brain all the background noise. So next
time you can't hear because the music's too loud, try
tapping your foot to see if it helps.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
That's kind of interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
I'm gonna try.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
That's like they say, if you have a gag reflex,
you're supposed to like squeeze your hand like that's like
and they're supposed to make you like forget about It's
like front of a shot, for instance. You can like
do that and like that helps you not have the
gag reflex. Okay, So also, like I don't know if
we need to studies about how to get more drunk.
I think that's probably not the yeah yeah in this case,
though again this weekends a little tapping Tom I'm gonna try.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Out to see if it works. Intern Johnny Marty Show
