Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the city that changes the world. Cheers Rose with
three things you need to know for your Thursday. Rose,
What's you got for us?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
The Trump administration is moving to take over a Union
station in Washington, d C. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy made
the announcement yesterday, saying the station has a fallen into despair.
Duffy said that they will help the city, help make
the city safe and beautiful at a fraction of the
cost by reclaiming management of the station. So, so, you know,
absolutely heartbreaking news that I hate that I even have

(00:30):
to talk about. A shooter fired through the windows of
a church in Minnesota where Annunciation Catholic School students were
praying during a mass marking the first week of school.
So two children were killed, fourteen other children and three
elderly people were injured. The gunman was in his early
twenties and fired dozens of rounds through the church windows.

(00:50):
A lot of reports are saying that because the church
doors were locked, a lot of kids' lives were saved.
So the school serves students from pre K through eighth grade.
And it's I mean the videos of the elementary school
children reporting and saying what was going on is just
absolutely heartbreaking. They were describing getting down taking cover. There's

(01:13):
one interview of a student that's been all over social
media and he was talking about how his best friend
laid on top of him making sure he was safe,
and his best friend got shot like.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
In the back. Heartbreak.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, it's so heartbreaking. And it's literally the first week
of school. So the student also said that they had
practiced what to do in the main school, but they
had never practiced what to do in the church.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So it's just terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
And drivers can expect Maryland's gas prices to be lower
than last year this Labor Day weekend, which is very
nice gas. But he is expecting that the average cost
of for a gallon of regular gas will be around
three dollars and fifteen cents this year. That is fourteen
cents lower than last year. So you are getting a
little bit of a break if you are traveling this

(01:58):
Labor Day weekend. IROs those are the three things you
need to know for the.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Days you're welcome. I also look up to a fun
uh soon to be adult project. I went in my
laund room and there was water on the floor. No,
it's from I think it's from the washing machines. I
texted our buddy Corey listens to the show's been basically
by the facto plumber the last years. I was like, hey,

(02:21):
by chance, is this under your field of expertise? So
because actually I got home from TV, I noticed that
was what closed in the floor, Like, oh to my
dumb ass, like forget the throw in the dryer, Like
I must have not been paying attention.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Maybe like a hose is loose, so maybe it's like
an easy face.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
So I'm hoping. Yeah, ideally it is always when you
feel like you've kind of got bills under control that
in life goes ha. Literally, Yeah, that's when the car
breaks down. That's why it's on the medical. Oh yeah,
I went paid off my first like car. The next
week it was like and out and that's not gonna
work anymore in good luck and the dealership is like

(02:57):
repair is gonna be like ten grand. That doesn't make
any sense. Yeah, So some of these commutes, by the way,
Haymarket to Arlington that's crazy hour and a half, Warranton
to Springfield forty miles hour and fifteen. Somebody said, my
commutes about an hour. I drive from Stevenson your Winchester,
VA to Ashbourne. I drive an hour and forty five minutes.

(03:19):
Huh from Smithsburg to mclan Oh, my dog. I hope
that we are helpful. I hope we'll make your commute works. Yeah,
I hope a little bit. When you're about traffic, Hey,
my suck because I gotta listen to you clowns. Thanks
for let me go in Westminster, Chris, good morning, are

(03:40):
doing good? So you commute from Westminster to where.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
District Heights Capitol Heights areacha.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Okay, it's about how long for you? One way? My gosh? Okay.
And you must see the worst types of drivers at
all times, Chris, Yes, because if you do two belt ways? Yeah?
Do you want you understand that there are a lot
of folks that failed drivers? Absolutely, Chris. I get you

(04:13):
a coffee for listening to them.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
That's the worst idea in the world.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Somebody else said, Ela City bethesay five minutes. Yeah, that
one and a half hours back. That's crazy. Well, we
appreciate you, listen. Yeah, we love I saw this trending yesterday.
We're living in a time where I think people see
like the the pranks on TikTok and YouTube and think
they're real. I would bet you the majority of them
are not real. This idiot in Wisconsin decided so he

(04:45):
he works at a car dealership, and there's that new
trend TikTok where it's like, uh, why are you smiling?
It's like, oh, because I just you know, told off
my baby daddy, or I just you know, won the lottery,
and yeah, so this moron side to post TikTok saying
that that's why you're smiling. Quote, I overcharged a single
mom ten thousand dollars on new car.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
What Yeah, you're gonna get punched in the face for
that one.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
But that's a lie, right, like is he?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
He claims it was a joke. So he's just.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Trying to like, you know, what's it called rage bait?

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah, so that the text says you look happier thanks
to so a single mom a car for ten thousand
dollars over sicker price your girl, funny, he claimed, as
a joke. Obviously, the dealerships like, we're not gonna, yeah,
deal with that, sir.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
What's funny about that?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
I don't know. I think that's just like the just again,
most of those pranks aren't real, and I think I've
made the prediction eventually, like these social media sites will
be held liable for that kind of such because you're
perpetrating that.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
But it's like, yeah, dude, that's good literally talking also
about your job. I didn't want you working at my
car dealership either.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Well, and that's what they're saying because it's a small
town where Sine, Wisconsin is a very very small town.
The dealership's like, hey, all it takes is one bad
review to undo thirty years of us being ye like
in the community.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Yeah yeah, so and then if if it is a
small area, even in past, you know, you could easily
figure out who was sold a car for if that
really didn't happen.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
It's one. It's one thing maybe like in the group
chat to be like ha hash I do this, ha ha,
but like I would never to publicly do it, Like
what do you think the reaction is gonna be?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Like that, Like that stupid trying is for like dumb
stuff like huh, just stole stole the flower around my
ex's house, Like I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Well, it's like the trend people are doing now where
they will put their phone next Year's and play the
cash apps sound so like, oh, I took money from you,
and then they're getting surprised are swinging on them. Was like, yeah, dude,
if you're making it seem like you just rob me.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Yeah, because they're in like public places, they're at the
grocery store and they're like they act like they like.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Oh my gosh, I just can't They act like they're like,
what happened And you took thirty dollars, I took three
dollars from you.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah, but who's gonna find that funny? So we just
got to stop and realize that we're all human beings.
We're not all on to trends and like it. And
even if it seems like a joke, we're all going
through right now. Stop trying to test us.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Now. I will say, this is the funniest prank I've
ever seen. Was about six years ago. I laid out
months in advance that I was going to prank Eric.
By the end of the year, that alone was one
of the best parts the whole prank. That was just
for three months, he thought I was going to fire bombs,
car release killer hornets wherever he was. He legit thought
the worst.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
He asked me every single day, do I know if
it's happening?

Speaker 1 (07:24):
And I was like, all I did was you think
these studios are designed horribly? The ones upstairs to get
out the doors right, so soundproof, you had to pull
a handle to get out. Yeah, well, the handles upstairs
would become loose. So my brain went to what. I
took the handle off of Eric's room and he shut
the door. He's stuck in there. And the best part
was we actually a windows upstairs, crazy so you could

(07:46):
see like he was an animal.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Stuck in the zoo, but a sign. Yeah, don't feed
the animals, he said, don't feed the error.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Yeah, and then he tried to escape back and then
I closed the door and his finger, he legit broke
a broom in half, remember that, And that's how he
tried to waste.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
The door trying to get out one time.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
It's fun times.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
We had fun.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
It was fun times to intern Johnny Morning Show. Is
Sabrina intern.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
John in your Morning Show?

Speaker 1 (08:09):
True?
