Speaker 2 (00:03):
Cheers Rose with three things you need to.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Know Forree Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Rose, you got for us.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
So I do want to note that today in Virginia
is election day. So governor, lieutenant governor, Attorney General, House
of Delegates, and local offices are up for election and
polls are now open until seven pm, So get out
in both. The Trump administration totally federal dead yesterday that
it will use contingency funds to provide only half of
the normal SNAP food benefits four November during the government shutdown.

(00:29):
So the Agriculture Department said it will use all four
point sixty five billion dollars in the contingency fund, which
should cover about fifty percent of each household normal benefits.
Now about forty two million Americans rely on SNAP, receiving
an average of just over three hundred and fifty dollars
per month. Now, I will say Virginia and DZ both
said that they will fund SNAP while they can. And
now Maryland Governor Wes Moore is releasing sixty two million

(00:51):
dollars in state funds to ensure full November SNAP benefits
for Maryland. Or So that is very nice to hear.
So if you want to go to this year's Christmas
tree lighting ceremony, you need to enter the lottery to
get tickets, and that ends tomorrow at three pm to
enter that lottery. So the results of the lottery will
be announced on November twelfth. It is not a first come,

(01:13):
first service, it's literally a lottery. It's just random. So
the ceremony is going to be held in the Alps
near the White House on December fourth, So if you
are interested in going, make sure you enter that lottery.
And Mackenzie Scott if you do not recognize that name,
she was once married to Jeff Bezos. But she is,
I mean a philanthropist. She is phenomenal. She is giving
Howard University eighty million dollars. That's crazy, eighty million dollars.

(01:38):
So the university announced yesterday that she made an unrestricted
sixty three million dollar donation and then another unrestricted donation
of seventeen million dollars that will go to Howard University
College of Medicine. So Howard University officials call the donation
a historic investment that will go towards essential student eight,
infrastructure improvements, and the school's reserve fund. This is not

(02:00):
the first time that Mackenzie Scott has donated to Howard.
She gave a forty million dollar donation back in twenty twenty.
She donates so much, Yes, so many places. I just
thought that was really cool. That's good local I runs.
Those aren't the three things you need to know today,
he roscome.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Somebody texts in regards to me coaching, I totally get
I coached cheer and top of having three kids working
into the hospital things, SEC get leadership, I get ij
the kids eat us. That is so true. Oh, I
think my kids had me thanks to Eric reaching out
enforcement coach. You're still lucky, very very blessing in that sense.
I think it was either yesterday or last week. We
talked about how Red Bull was doing their own Advent calendar,

(02:36):
and some of the flavors were questionable, to say the least,
Burger King putting their hat in the ring baby a calendar.
They're doing twelve day advan calendar. So last year they
saw that in less than five minutes, which is crazy.
The they're doing their twenty dollar calendar. It's twelve days,
very exciting. So apparently it's it's gift wrapped, which is
very nice with a festive snowman symbol in each of

(02:58):
the a dozen drawers. Each side the drawer inside is
a fast food inspired gift like a mini candles, Coca
Cola keychain and more. Yeah, the calendar goes for nineteen
dollars and fifty four cents. That's the year they were founded.
The value over one hundred dollars sounds.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Kind of like this full junk because it's not like
you're getting like a burger, well, you're getting a key chain.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's treats or what it's very for treats.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, to have an ornament, a little gift car. Absolutely,
I would.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Rather have like coupons for like you get a whopper today,
you get a large fry, you get whatever. If I'm
gonna if I want like a burger king like it,
that's what That's what I want.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Well then, so Dairy Queen not to be a match,
they revealed a last week. They are like many professive
like things. So their holiday treat collection available now, yeah,
has new things and all some old things as well.
So among newbies. Peppermint bark lizard not a big peppermint
bark guy personally.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Not a peppermint yeah. Yeah, yeah, not really like that lizard.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
They say it combines a white milk chocolate, lairs of
candy cane pieces and vanilla soft served queens anymore. There's
one year me because I've definitely uber each in there before. Yeah,
and that was like I tried to uber eat the
ice cream cake like my birthday, like a small and
the guy that didn't grab the cake, he has got
the pretzels and cheese. Dude, do you guys get like
pie off my ass them? Like any pretzels fro dairy queen.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I mean the fact that you ordered from dairy queen,
I will probably assume both, but.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
You were from a iceam cake. They also have a
holiday a nog shake, which is eggnog. Again really my
type of thing.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
That's cool, thank you. And the frosted sugar cookie blizzard.
