Speaker 1 (00:00):
Twenty two service members got injured in a helicopter crash
in Syria. You heard that story, Yeah, thank god all
are alive. So far right, I probably should have gotten
more news coverage than it did, but we have our
tentacles and a lot of places around the world. I
had no idea, first of all, that we got nearly

(00:21):
one thousand people fighting in Syria Holy Cow, and they
did something like twenty five missions against Syria last month,
not last year or the last decade, last month in May.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Great scott and nobody has any idea of it. It
gets no coverage. It's not part of the national discussion.
There are no prayers for the safety of these fellows
outside of their immediate families. I would guess which is wrong.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
But if a presidential candidate I don't know, orders a
bagel somewhere, it makes the evening news. We have people,
highly trained soldiers wearing a US flag on their shoulder,
risking their lives in operations, and nobody has any idea's happening.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Every time I hear how many guys and gals in
how many places, I'm shocked anew it's dozens of places
where they are involved in violent conflict.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I wonder what that feels like when you come back,
you know, and risking your life's not a minor thing.
You go out in those operations, everything like that, you
come back when you're out and everything. I spent three
years in Syria doing what what were you in Syria for?
It was fighting? Isis like every other day I would
drive out into the desert, be shot at, shoot at
other people. Nobody has any idea. That's just that's stunning

(01:43):
to me.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
It's like our guys in Africa fighting Boko Haram.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah. I can say the same thing about Sudan or
a bunch of different players.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
