Believe.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
This is iHeartRadio's WSLC Tampa Bay. The Joe Show.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
Has all the news an info you need, top stories
at the top of the hour with Katie Summers. So
last night Wesley Chapel police shut down another team takeover,
but before it even started. So this is our friends
at news Channel eight again reporting on it last night.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
There, I'm just kidding, Hello and sec. Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
The message from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office is loud
and clear. They will not tolerate these types of team
takeovers in their community. The deputies on scene just told
us they saw the flyers circulating on social media that
something would pop off here about ten o'clock and they
showed up in force. They told us there's about thirty
to forty deputy patrol cars here in this area. They
are blocking off all of these areas. The deputies on
(00:52):
scene told us they do not want this area to
turn into another Clearwater, another Tampa. They want to ensure
that anybody that's coming out to this area is being safe,
and they're going to continue to monitor those social media platforms.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Shut it down. This is just crazy to me, Like,
what what about it is fun yeah, sided with my
fiance about it last night. What about it is fun?
I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
But remember Joe, back when the movie Project X released,
everyone wanted to throw a party. No one wanted to party.
It was like a mega banger.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
I don't thank you. Do you understand what the team
takeover is because we don't affiliate with teens, so you
may not know. You're right, it's where they don't put
together a party. They're not trying to party. They're like
putting together a fight. They're like, hey, we're all going
to get together hundreds of people and just fight. Oh,
I don't know it was that. I don't know they
were fighting. Isn't that what it is?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I thought they were just flooding the area.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
I thought they were just So why are they all
fighting and shooting each other and stabbing each other and
acting like.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
It's a flash mob just gathering and it can turn
into chaotic stuff with other people who don't get along.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
There at least Project X. We just wanted to drink
and in smoke weed.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
And I feel like a lot of these things, like
we met up and we have big groups like this
because they're saying sometimes like twenty to thirty Kids. But
it wasn't on social media, right, So it wasn't like
we were asking more people to come out.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Oh no, when I was a kid, we would do
it on Facebook groups. Oh yeah, we never did that.
Oh yeah, private. So what is on TV tonight?
Speaker 3 (02:22):
We're gonna get part two of Bravos Summer House Reunion,
and there's also going to be a watch party at
Sparkman Wharf. They're doing like this big viewing party and
they're encouraging people to wear costumes a la the Summerhouse Party.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
I will not, but I will look at the pictures
and stiff at social media.
Speaker 3 (02:40):

great names that are going to be attached to this thing,
So check it all out and win your trip. At
nine twenty five, eight hundred and four oh nine ninety
(04:44):
three ninety three. Is there anyone I saw this Instagram video?
Is there anyone who explores abandoned places? Go ahead?
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Jed So I saw a real yesterday of this guy
going through an abandoned shopping mall, and I thought it
was like one of the coolest things ever. Now I
know there's at least the top of my head, I
can't think of any at least near my house. I
want to go someplace near my house case I got
to escape, but I want to go and explore abandoned places.
I like, what's that one tower that's off of two
(05:18):
seventy five. I saw another guy do a video there
that would the word like the tower is abandoned and
he's gone up and done the towers? Have you ever
seen that show? It's like right off at two seventy five.
If you head southbound on two seventy five, like you're
coming towards Tampa, you'll see it on your right. I
want to explore the abandoned places. I want to go
to like a spooky house or I know this is
like right up Katie Summer's Alley. Absolutely well, even like
(05:41):
a shutdown restaurant, you know, would be kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Are you like trying to find ghost or just like.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Well, so Ashley funny, you should say that one guy
in previous videos.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Is it funny or scary? It's scary. You should say that.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Uh No, but this one guy who does the same
videos and I'm blinking on his name, but he went
to a place where there was an old lock box
that he broke into and there was cash and jewelry
you could you could find. I don't like a rat infestation.
I don't know there's we don't know what we're going
to find in abandon building. I would love to go
(06:16):
to an abandon building.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
What do you guys know about the shutdown park at
Disney World. I've heard of adventure park, but I don't
know anything about shutdown park.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
I've seen stuff on TikTok and because there aren't there
parts of is this that Disneyland or disney World disney World. Yeah,
that there's a parks that have been like kind of
just like they.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Had like a water park. Yeah, it was like an
adventure type of thing where you would go. Is that
what you're talking about? Are you talking about the defunct land,
the one that got shut.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I'm talking about the defunct land they had like a
million lawsuits against it.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
There No, not that they shut it down just because
they were building other things and they just it got old.
But there was like it was like a water park
type of deal that people could go to at Disney
and it was on an island and they shut it
down and when they shut it down, they just left
everything there. So people were exploring it and it was
(07:10):
like stuck in time. It was super sick because then
like the grass is growing and stuff that it wouldn't
have been normally, and they ended up having to like
really fence it off and make it damn near impossible
to get through. But people do that, they make YouTube
videos of it. And then there's people who that's that's
(07:30):
like their hobby is they go to theme parks and
they sneak into the closed attractions. You know who, They've
done it at Appcot.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
You know who's also done this. David Jones. He goes
on his roller blades and he goes through the abandon
all in Serasota.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
I've seen that.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Yeah, wait, he goes like on his roller I swear.
I think it's like what's his Instagram? It's like roller
skating dat or David America David Joe.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
David Jones is a legend. I told him this but before.
There's been times where I've baked cookies and I've looked
up and David Jones is looking at me. You ever
seen him in his awning commercials? You've never seen him
in his aning commercials? No, have you guys ever seen Yeah? No, no, no.
David Jones is like the man. And if you've ever
(08:18):
listened to radio in Sarasota, you hear them. David and Meredith.
We love them. And also they well he he does
like infomercials and stuff. So he has one with a
vacuum where he's cleaning out stuff, and then he's got
another one with an awning. It's like the sunshade thing.
But I've been baking cookies before and I look up
(08:40):
and I go, oh my god, damn it, look at that.
Anybody look at him? He's And by the way, it's
an infomercial, so definitely it starts. I begin, I'm done,
and about twenty seconds later his commercial is.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Learn something new every day.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Hey, oh my man, we're talking about abandoned places. You've
gone to an abandoned train station.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Abandoned Well, so when I was a kid, I used
to be heavy into GRAFFEEDI And in New York City
there are abandoned train stations that you have to like
find secret entrances to get to them. And me and
my friend had found out that the McDonald's on thirty
thirty fifth Avenue across the street from the Empire State
Building in the basement as a door that opens up
(09:26):
into one of the abandoned subway systems. And we explored
the old Grand Central station, the old forty seconds like
it's a yeah, it's it's insane, Like it's actually so
creepy because you hear the water drops and they like
first and they echo that. We used to make a
weekend Yeah, we used to make weekend trips to go
through all these tunnels and we would take our our
(09:48):
stuff that you know, the Devil's let us with us
and we would just go down there and just go
out there and rip out in the tunnels. And it's
a city under a city under there.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
That's so cool. I mean place there's something about like
and then like I you know, imagine going into a
mall and it looks like stranger things like not like
the upside down, but it looks. You know, it's got
like the the teel and pink chairs and a you know,
food court. All would be so cool to be sick.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
The catacombs would be fire like that. Have you seen
the catacombs up in France?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Like the it's not abandoned? Yeah, no that they do
tours and stuff. Now, my brother wanted to watch it
if we were going to go in there. It's a
good thing you didn't. It is you know what the
catacombs are. It's just dead people. It's just skulls everywhere
in the walls. Why because it's like, uh, it's it's history.
(10:51):
It's kind of cool. I'm a big tour guy. There
are no good museums here. There's no good tours or
anything like that. But if you take me to a
place with a tour, just I'll be there. I love
a good tour.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
Also, Joe, I found out the name of the tower.
It's the Sulfur Springs water Tower. That's right off two
seventy five and you can go up to it. And
so probably it sits in a park. It looks like
a castle.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
Hold on, let's do it. Let's for these abandoned places.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
All right. We gotta do. I'm down to go. I
am one thousand percent again.
Speaker 6 (11:26):
We gotta get the glasses. We gotta get the meta glasses.
We go send me and as the crab.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Let's do it. No, you're not baked. We need you.
We'll all go in together as a team. Can't take
all of us out.
Speaker 6 (11:39):
You know.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
I gotta stick back to make sure y'all got no
I have to you gonna tell them what happened?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
You will, because you're all gonna go. Come on. He
oh my man, love you buddy. Did we have fun today?
We did? I love it. I love it. I love it,
I love it. I love Tuesdays. Honestly, Tuesday is an
incredible day when you wake up with the Joe Show.

Just deleted, and I know I'm.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
Gonna go to the app store and hit up to you,
like what's going on?
Speaker 2 (13:02):

your app. I just deleted. Delete it in redownloaded. You'll
get the new burden in so updated in your app store,
or do it Ashley. You can delete it and then

Just make sure we're one and two there. And then
because it's a podcast, turn on auto download that allows
you to access the videos and whatnot. Okay, cool, Katie,
you got a lot coming up on your show. I
mean this is an exciting week. I Hurt Radio Music
Festival and then also and then the money twenty five
(13:46):
hundred dollars. So uh trip to Vegas with one thousand
bucks and then twenty five hundred bucks to celebrate America
to fifty over the next month, we're giving away more
than two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. It's crazy, it is.
The whole thing is where would you go in America
if you won? Where would you guys go? You know,
we answered it yesterday, but give me more today.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Tucson, Arizona. I'm gonna go. Try to extend off of
your search for Nancy Goutrie.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
That just randomly pop in your head? Or did they
do it?
Speaker 1 (14:14):
No?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
No, no, you know you can stay at my grandparents
and save money on a hotel and listen, twenty five
hundred bucks get you a long winter.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
I would go to Napa Valley, wing frolic through a
vineyard with Dennis Clark, with Dennis Clark.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Going around over there.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
I go to Las Vegas. Baby, Well, what's nice is
you could win to Vegas. Now have to spend it.
See smart Now we're talking and when you win a
trip to the iHeart Radio Music, they take care of
the hotel and everything. So that'd be nice. You know
where I would go anywhere you guys, because you want
us to pay.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
You just won't go to Chivaldi.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Bring someone in here, one last person.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
So I think the flip is out there.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Maybe AUDREYI.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Whip listens to the show. Though, all right, watch this,
I got them. This is gonna be good. Ready, I
didn't watch. He's gonna have no idea because he's gonna
think that we're And what's really cool about this is
the fact that so essentially, and like I've even I
went to the barber shop and they were doing it there.
But you take these hello, but you take these cards.

(15:53):
big concert that's coming here. Yeah, we're not. We don't
know anything, none of that or anything. Okay, but we
were talking about how we've got an event coming up,

can't wait until your boy is old enough for me
to teach them all the tricks of the trade. Although
