(00:00):
All right, we're gonna check inout ca C. Crosby at the Republican
Convention case, how's life. Lifeis great. I'm calling him from Milwaukee.
Just got off the convention floor tocome up and talk to you for
a few minutes. Well, Ireally appreciate that. What is your current
job? Are you the treasure Yes, sir, Well, that's some serious
(00:21):
work you got to tend to.Then, it's been quite busy since the
President Trump became our nominee. He'sobviously been fundraising like crazy, and so
it's been pretty exciting to be treasurerright now. Well, I mean,
you know, it was riveting tosee the reactions of so many people after
Saturday's assassination attempt. And I meanit's like I'm hoping the messaging out of
(00:45):
everybody is a little more friendly. That's all I know. The President Joe
Biden spoke last night and President Trumpis going to speak on Thursday at the
convention, and they say he's goingto reshape his speech. You have any
inkling of what that might be.I have no idea what it's going to
be. I mean, we haveAmerica First policy, and we're all behind
(01:07):
President Trump and his nomination, andyou know, I think you nailed it.
Though. There's no room for thatjust ugliness and politics right now.
And I think that that's one thingboth sides can agree on. And I
certainly hope that we won't see,you know, any more violence like that,
there's just no place in it inthis arena. Or vitriolic talk as
(01:29):
well. I mean, there's somany things that are loobbed by both sides
that it gets ridiculous, like it'sthe end of our democracy of such and
such wins and he'll rip the Constitutionand he's like, let's all calm down,
right, right, Well, we'rehere to nominate President Trump, and
I think we are seeing democracy atwork and people excited and pumped up for
America First agenda, and we're justall excited to be here in Milwaukee this
(01:53):
week. Yeah. Senator McConnell,of course, was the guy who announced
the delegate count earlier. Tell meabout some of the other folks who are
in the Kentucky delegation. Well,we've got a great mix of people from
all over the state of Kentucky andour delegation. We have some of our
elected officials, we have some ofour grassroots activists with us, and we're
(02:14):
strong delegation, and we're enjoying eachother's company, and we're gearing up to
help UH put President Trump over thetop come November, and all of our
other Kentucky officials as well well.A lot of people always feel like,
you know, our polls close whenthey do, and we're one of the
first to report. A lot ofpeople feel like it's read every time,
and the networks always say right awayKentucky and Indiana are in for the Republican
(02:38):
and so do you expect that sameoutcome this fall? I expect. I
expect Kentucky to completely go for PresidentTrump, no question, so we won't
see him visiting here. He doesn'tneed to cull more votes in the Commonwealth
of Kentucky. Well, listen,I don't think anybody takes anything for granted.
But you know, President Trump,I would hope does not need to
(03:00):
worry about Kentucky. But of course, if he wants to come visit us,
where you are going to open ourarms wide open for him to come.
Obviously, the announcement of JD.Vance as the vice presidential candidate for
him brings in a fact faction ofKentucky because his life started in the Commonwealth
and then they move to Ohio, and that story is controversial for some people.
(03:21):
Tell me about your impressions of jd. Vance, who was adversarial with
Donald Trump at one time. Well, I think JD. Vance is a
great pick. I mean he's onthe floor speaking right now. The crowd
is excited, everybody's pumped up.I mean, certainly he can articulate the
America First agenda. He's loyal andwe know that President Trump values loyalty above
everything, and I think he's agreat pick for the president. And again,
(03:45):
we're just excited to go to workin the bye By sense here is
everybody's just really excited. The crowdwas roaring when he was announced, Okay,
And obviously there are people that comein with various things. They say,
well, if this happens, youknow again, it's the end of
our democracy. What's the messaging thebasic messaging from the Republican Party to tell
people Project twenty twenty five is notthe Trump platform. Well, I mean
(04:12):
the Republican Party we passed a platformthis morning. You can look it up.
It's very pointed. It's I thinkour message is very well articulated.
In it. President Trump had ahand in crafting that. And I think
that you will see what the messageis from the Republican Party by looking at
the platform that was just approved bythe body this morning. Okay, that's
on the website here locally. Yeah, it should be already up. The
(04:35):
platform's public. Yeah, okay, very good. Yeah, we'll get that
over to you though. All right, they told me you only had a
five minute window. What do youhave to do that's so urgently right now?
Well, Ja d Vance is actuallyon the phone floor speaking right now,
so I snuck up so I couldtalk to you. We were a
little behind schedule, and we initiallyplanned our interview with you we were having
(04:57):
a break, but we don't havea break right now because we up behind
schedule, so we didn't want toput you off any longer. Oh,
no worries, all right, Iappreciate it, Casey, go enjoin this
so much, Terry, thank you. I hope you have a great day.
Thanks for your time. I alwaysdo, thank you, Casey.
Okay, by bye. A cCrosby is serving as a treasure for the
Republican Party and is in Milwaukee liveat the convention, and I think she's
(05:21):
a fangirl. She just wants togo out and hear what jd Vance has
to say. But anyway, we'regonna get into more of this stuff later
in the show. Ian and Ido what's called knob City after six o'clock
tonight, and there's a lot ofaudio that people have been posting online about
both sides yelling and saying horrific thingsto each other. I think it's probably,
(05:42):
you know, the internet saves everything. I think it's probably gonna at
least slow down for a while afterthis assassination attempt on Donald Trump on Saturday.
More about that ahead, and we'llget you a little sports deal too,
