Speaker 3 (00:19):
I thank you Nat and King and Cole, all three
of you. Sound fantastic on that Christmas Carol if you're
on news radio eight forty w h as the annual
fet To Noel is back at Paris Town. Genie hilt
is the Queen of Christmas.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Well, hello there, Oh gosh, i'd like to sound that
Queen Chris in presence and stuff. Yeah, you should wear
some sort of a crown. Oh that declares that. So
what is fet to Noel? Well, it is French for
festival of Christmas, and we wanted to say Christmas, but
we've got it. We're being sensitive, so we're like, let's
just say it in a different language.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Okay, beautiful.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
So and this is our seventh annual.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
So we went from you in twenty nineteen just having
an ice skating rink, moving some dirt around and kind
of establishing it and every year since then, we've added
something new and exciting to the festival that's great.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
I do like the ice skating rink. I think it's cool.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
It's very cool.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
It's been really popular already and we're just really thankful
that the community loves it.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
And Eric was on a little while ago with the
forecast and said, we're going to go into a cold
staff the ice rank. People are going to love that.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
They do, I know, right skating.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Do you still have a train like we do?

Speaker 2 (01:28):
The Kroger Fresh Express runs. Absolutely, It's adorable and I
always remind people the best little pictures are those sweet
little faces peering out of those little train windows. It's like,
you know, get pictures of your kids doing that. We've
got Santa you know, We've got a really great Santa House.
Santa visits out there. The Brent Street Holiday Market twenty
different local shops are staged on Brent Street, so they're

(01:51):
open mostly on the weekend, but you know, you can
buy some really great things there, local stuff that's wonderful.
Woodford Reserve is out there, our bourbon sponsor. They're selling
bottles and doing personal engraving on them no charge. A
fabulous gifts so you can come out and get Woodford
or double ohk it.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Person. It really makes you feel important when they bring
you booze and has your name on.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
It, no kidding, right, especially when it's really good booze.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
All right, did I win an election and I was asleep?
What happened?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I know?

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Well, there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
But yeah, it's it's really a wonderful time. I think
they added another Breakfast with Santa this Saturday. The other
one last Saturday sold out right away, so we've got
all kinds of activities there. It's it's really wonderful. Honored
to say that we are now being referred to as
Louisville's holiday tradition.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
That's pretty awesome. The skillet curling Championship did you mention that.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Well, that happened last Monday, and it was epic. I
cannot tell you how really great it is. There's a
bunch of bartenders and service industry people that compete for
the coveted golden skillet.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
That is fantastic, raised a bunch of money for Apron.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
But you know, these folks don't have the opportunity to
really party together or celebrate the season with their colleagues.
So I think that will eventually be like the official
Christmas party for the service industry out there. So we
really love that. So we uf L Hockey was out
there last Saturday. They did like a little scrimmage meat greet.
We had Nutcracker on ice last week with yeah, well

(03:18):
I mean with the Louisville Skating Academy. We did do
our sixth annual drag Queens on ice last Sunday night.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
So what a show?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
What show?

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Really fine, really fun. We have a great time out there.
It's you know, we love Louisville.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Also in a studio with us is Eloise Eiffel. Nice
to see you, my friend.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Nice to see you too.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Local legend. I actually saw you a few weeks ago
standing in a cold field where people were gathering around
a fire and there was an outstanding buffet and you
had a setup there that was fantastic. Please describe.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Yes, we always have a setup. We bring our brand
ambassadors are very friends. The sheep that represent Black Lion Vodka.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
They were so cute and I had a little chat
with one of them. I can't remember his name, it
was probably Frank, and he just looked at me like, dude,
can you just stay here with me. I mean, this
is so fun.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah, that seems about right with Frank.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, Frank, very pleasant. So are these this Black Lion vodka?
It says rare sheep's milk. Is that really an ingredient?

Speaker 4 (04:29):
It is?

Speaker 5 (04:29):
We use rare sheep's milk to make vodka from England.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Isn't that amazing?

Speaker 3 (04:35):
That's just such a cool idea it is. The bottle
is really expressive. I mean it's a beautiful portrait on
there or etching whatever that happens to be.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah. So it's a luxury vodka.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
So we really like to stand on luxury in our branding.
But we're also at fed today nowell this Christmas season
with the sheep, and actually we have a huge prie
coming this week. Oh we have a baby lamb that
is going through this.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
I mean five pounds baby lamb.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
It's just awesome.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I mean, like you know, the children, you know, they love,
like the sheep in general, love for people to come
up and pet them.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
They do.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Frank I was like rubbing his like scratched his neck
and he was like thumping his foot like a dog.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Right the way he looks at you like he's so
enthralled with you as well.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Yes, they're wonderful. But this little baby lamb.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Can you imagine the photo ops with that the entire
you know, every weekend they're out there, so you know
photos are being taken constantly.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
What kind of hours we talking.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
About, eli, So we'll be there Friday after work till
about seven or eight pm, and then Saturday eleven to
seven and then Sunday twelve pm to seven pm.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
This makes a heck of a Christmas picture.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Oh, it's awesome, it's so enchanting. We have a whole
setup with real Christmas trees. Why picket fence with all
the sheep in there, and not only do you get
to pet the sheep, but you also get a free
sample of the vodka.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Oh that's not a problem, it's.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Not People have been loving that.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, it's really good.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
It's really designed to be a sipping vodka. Not that
I'm a vodka expert, but I'm willing to learn it's
designed to really sip. So is really young me. Now,
we do have a really wonderful event tomorrow evening. There's
still tickets available a few The Black Lion Affair, so
that is at the cafe. It is a high end
dinner featuring four courses, five different vodka cocktails.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Just really kind of awesome.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
And the co owner will be here from the UK
and the Costswalts in the UK and so he will
be signing bottles. So if you want to give somebody
a special gift, personalized, we got that going too.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
That's pretty cool. That's tomorrow night. Where do we get
information for.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
That, parsound dot com and to you know, look at
the hours. You know, we'll put weather updates on that
website as well, but look at the hours. Buy tickets,
you know through pairstown dot com and you know, come
out and check out, you know, Louisville's Holiday Trader.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Indeed, the inn this Black Lion Vodka. This is a
British product, is that Yes.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
It's made in the Costswolds, England. And kind of the
process behind that because a lot of people are like
sheep milk vodka, right, What we do is the sheep
make the milk, there's the curds in the way the
curds makes the cheese, the way we take the sugar
from and to still it with local spring water. So
we're using all natural products which makes this one hundred
percent sustainable products.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Very cool.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Yeah, you know that.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I just noticed, you know, the thought we have branch
water here that makes our bourbons so delicious, and perhaps
you were spring water and the Costswalls is one of
the reasons that this vodka is so delicious too.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
You know what it's so interesting the sunlight that hits
the grass, the rain that they get, it all determines
on making this vodka. So it all determines on like
you know, like the spring water and things like that.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
So it's very interesting.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Indeed, black lion, that's one word. That's the way it's
printed on them.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Black lion. One word that is correct.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Rare Sheep's Milk Vodka. Come celebrate at Paristown fet to
know well runs actually through early January.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
It's January fourth.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
The kids go back to school on the fifth, so
we're going to keep you know, obviously the market will
close on Christmas Eve and some different activations. Well Santa
has to go back to the Northwest of course all that.
But but you know, the train will keep a running,
the ice rink will be open so that you know,
when you need to get your kids out of the
house and have to come ice skating with.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Want to go to the fancy dinner. That's so you
got to get on Paristown.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Paristown dot com and that's tomorrow night.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Okay, very good, and then you can see the sheep
and take pictures and all that business and learn more
about Black Lion at fet to Noel this weekend. It's
great to see you, Eloise.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Great to see you too.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
