Yeah, tenth anniversary of a different way of thinking. It's
my signature show I tour the country with in which
I can bind magic, comedy and storytelling to share what
living on the autism spectrum is like from an authentic perspective.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
You're traveling a lot, now, a lot.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I just ended a road trip, started in Chicago, then
I flew from there to DC. Then I had a
gig in ann Arbor at Domino's headquarters of all places,
and then Lansing, Michigan for a school and then I
got back from Bangor, Maine yesterday.
Speaker 1 (00:51):

you're in a different place when you're up there, no.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Doubt, but You're bringing your show back to your hometown
high View Arts Center this Saturday night. What can people
expect with this show.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Well, the core of it will be my full length
hour autism advocacy magic show. It is a fun magic show,
I emphasized, But within the script I talk about like
trying to play sports as a kid, trying to date,
common challenges that autism made difficult but not impossible. And
then on top of that, I got two awesome opening
(01:25):
acts who are also autistic and who are dear friends.
Jordan Allen is a magician from Murray, Kentucky. He said
he was inspired by me to be open about his autism,
which is very flattering you've been. And then in the
studio is Nick til He is an amazing guitarist who
performs the Monarch all the time. But as LeVar Burton says,
you don't have to take my word for it.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Nick's here himself. Ay, Nick, are you going to perform
for us today? Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (01:51):

bit of what you do there. Nick. Awesome.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
But I got the idea. That was pretty awesome, Hannah.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
I can feel the rush when you put your sugar
on me. Will you're bringing me a laugh on a
chance to kill me up there.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Because you throw my soul out in their sun those

you wanta know you're the one.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
How you are the world.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
That was terrific. Thank you very That's funny that you said.
It sounds better if I'm standing because he is seated
in front of we had adjust mix accordingly. That was
great though, all those references in there.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I love that he's a great songwriter, isn't he?
Speaker 1 (05:12):
That was great. It was like a musical jukebox all
of a sudden here that he had all those song titles,
the references.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Quite a range. And you'll get that if you come
to the tenth anniversary of a different way of thinking music,
magic and learning about autism. How can you beat that?
On a Saturday night arena?
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Are you gonna do a trick right now?
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Say yes, I am to have time for a longer
trick or doesn't need to be a shorter trick.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Oh, we have a couple of minutes left, so awesome,
all right.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I would show you a card trick, Terry. But not
only is it hard to top Nick, but I brought
a blank dead.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
There's nothing on any of those cards. Nick sees that too,
there's nothing there.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
How can I do any card magic if there's no pictures.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
There's nothing on the one side of the car.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Yep, no nothing. But the good thing, as you know
for me from Lance all the other magicians that you've
had on is when there's a will, there is a way.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Oh now, there. Now it's a full deck. I don't
know how you did that.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yep. Now we can do the card trick. Now we
can have the fun and I'll have you.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Okay, take anyone, Do I hold it, don't hold it?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Show it to Nick, whisper it to the camera. The okay, good,
and put it right back on top, on top.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
There it is.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Okay, Now you're gonna follow my lead. I'm going to
mix the cards. I'm watching you, and then I'll take
a clump of them out of the middle. Okay, of
about four or five. Okay, you do the same, mix
them and give me about four or five.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Just take just four or five in succession.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yep, and put them right on top of these.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Okay, there you go.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Now you can keep the deck from it.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
I've got the rest of the deck in my hand.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
We will do like we did when we were kids,
before we smartphones, when we're bored. Back then, we made
card sculptures, right, card castles. Yes, and you see that's
what I'm trying to do.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Now he's building them.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Okay, holding them up and seeing if I need some more.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Nick, do you remember the card? I do remember? Okay? Good? Yeah,
I'm just I'm testing you.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Let's see if this works.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I'm looking at the ones he gave me. It's not
in here. Oh my gosh, he's making cards rise into
the air. I don't know how he's doing it all
except there're one in the air. All except one card,
which is my card. I don't know how.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yay card.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
That is awesome.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Appreciate you, Terry.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
I don't know how you made those cards levitate. That
was kind of cool. But I was standing there watching
you up close.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yeah, and you certainly do watch me close. You make
sure that every magician on here fools you.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I'm so proud of you for following this passion of yours.
You're showing, you know, people on the autism spectrum can
do anything.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, literally anything, whether it's get a job or like
I told you earlier, moving into the Highlands.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Congratulations, Well, thank you.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
I've went to live in the Highlands ever since I
performed at the Carmy Caravan and this year, thanks to
my success and parents had taught me how to save
