Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, welcome back our number three on news radio
eight forty w h as Tony Venetti, Dwight whitting Dwight
is on a plane right now, going to a caboo
matter of fact, on the same plane with Susan his wife,
of course, and Jackie, my wife, is headed out of town.
So they are gone. It's a great day for them
to leave because it's like Gotham City out there today.
(00:20):
Please slow down, be careful out there. If you don't
have to leave the house, don't because I don't see
anybody downtown. It's crazy, dark and weird out there, so
don't be out there for weird. What you want to
do is good weird, which is sorcer Rita's right. Pam,
all right, Pam and his National Taco Day. What's up.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
We've got Aubrey here now to help guide us into
the weekend. And I think National Taco Day is actually
what today?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Oh it is today? Today? Yes, it's a Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I'm old.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yes, it's okay. You're busy making these double wrapped tacos.
By the way, By the way, these are I did
not know that this is something new. Jackie came home
with them the other day and I go, what is this?
She was like, sauceritas, and I was like, and now
that's all I've older for like three weeks straight.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Oh, Steve gets I mean they're so good. We had
them last night too.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Oh yeah, they're they're on again. You can have them
wrapped with either the queso or I do the free
fried beans. Yes, I do with the refried bereans. What
do you do on your taco.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
I did the refried beans last night.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
And then what's the toppings? This is important?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Oh gosh, everything, I love it so colored. The ghost pepper.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Yeah, well I'm not a big fan of the spice,
but the spice is really good.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Our new Ghost Pepper sauce is delicious.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I do a little pico shredded cheese, lettuce and don't
be shy with sour cream. There you go, that's what
I do. Uh. But you're doing a silent disco on
the deck outside in Saint Matthew's. That jumped out at
me right away.
Speaker 6 (01:59):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
It is a it's a it's a new hip thing
around the country and now in Louisville, a silent disco
on the patio Saint Matthew's location. That is Saturday, October
twenty six.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Right Averyday Sunday.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh, I'm sorry, Sunday Sunday, October twenty six.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
We tried to do a Swifty thing, yeah, and he's like, no,
that's my thing, and I'm going to bring in what it.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Would have an he's oh, a Taylor Swift thing. Yeah,
why didn't you do that?
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Was my idea?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah, well, well let's do that next. Yeah, just don't
get sued.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I know.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Our patio is small and Taylor Swift will bring a
huge crowd, so I don't know if saulsree Is is
quite ready for the Taylor Swift crowd.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
That is a beautiful outdoor area though it really is.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yes, and it really is. And we're gonna have a
fun day. It's going to be Day of the Disco,
so a little play on Mexican Fiesta, so we'll be
playing you know, think Disney's Cocoa Halloween Vibes on one channel,
Pop on an their channel, and then throwbacks for the
parents on the third channel.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
So it's really fun.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
If you've never done a silent disco, highly recommend. We're
partnering with Louisville Silent Disco.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, he's everywhere.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, it's it's awesome. It's so fun. So we're gonna
have a great day out of it.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Three locations. How's the newest one, Shepherdsville.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Right, Shepherdsville is really growing. Yeah, now that everybody's knowing, because,
like I'm telling him, I was out there go kart
country or something and delivering tacos over to them and
all the kids were off from school and yeah, we
didn't even know you were here.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
And right, yeah, that's right there.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Right there. Well that's how it gets there again. Sorcerita's
great family owned operation. Man, it's this fresh Mexican grill.
This the food is fresh. It's made every day. Maria
and Maria every down to one Maria now and she
makes the rock. The guawk is made fresh every single day.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
You can see that on our TikTok.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Oh like so cool now, it's weird cool.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Download the app and score five bucks off your first order. Folks.
This is the way to go it. Plus, you know,
on Halloween, since it's it's a Friday night, I think
more people are gonna have get togethers than ever before. Now,
you know, you people usually do what ChIL They almost
make upon of Chilian and call it a night. Just
get Saucertas to do a buffet for you, because people
(04:29):
are coming, go and hanging out, and people are coming
and hanging out. I think Saucerta is a good idea
for that.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Yeah, we could do our Fiesta packs, which are easy
for smaller families too. You just grab and go and
everything set up ready for you to serve for.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
And if you want chili, we have the chips. Yeah.
Talk our TikTok would be so our large chip bag
yeah is five four to five to tostaedo bags.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Oh, I don't doubt that. I mean, I don't tell that.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Dollars.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
The big bag at Saucers last our family like a month.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah, Garrett Bins from the airport.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Nothing tastes like it's they're very they're thin and and
have and they're perfectly uh you know seasoned on there.
They're perfect. I mean they're they're perfect chip. Yeah they are. Yes,
there's no doubt about it. All right, kids, Saucertus National
Taco Day Aurey and uh and Sam good. How's everything going? Yeah,
(05:32):
the family's going. How about the pro golfer? Is he
coming back?
Speaker 2 (05:36):
He's I believe he might be back and forth a
little more than newsual.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, I love it. I love it all right, Pam,
we love you, you know, all right? Thank you girls?
All right, Tell the newsroom they can have a taco
out there if they want them. Rick, did you get.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
And on for me?
Speaker 5 (05:51):
Got him right here, Tony Ed, Gary.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
On, how are you, sir?
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Good morning, soggy out here on the farm. Good morning, Tony,
Good morning to the listeners. I'm sitting on the back porch,
just got my rain gear off after doing chores to
have this conversation with you.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Real quick before we get to obviously. Today is the
anniversary of the attack on Israel on October seventh, boy Ed,
it feels like it's more than two years ago. I
can't believe that it was it just two years ago?
Am I wrong?
Speaker 6 (06:21):
No, you're right. It was two years ago. And on
that date, over twelve hundred were slaughtered. I wouldn't use
the term killed, and that included over forty US citizens.
That seems to get forgotten many times. Reports are forty
eight are still being held, but it's estimated only about
twenty are still alive. I would brace the American citizen
(06:44):
in public for what comes out ultimately on the treatment
of those hostages that will probably be horrifying. Probably not
much as being said, because of the threats to the
ones that remain, but again they are not released as
of yet to my understanding, Tony, are there any developments
this morning?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
No, not that I have heard of since I got
on the air. But what is the I know that
we are obviously supporting operations there. Do we still have
one or two aircraft carrier groups in there near there?
Speaker 6 (07:15):
That's a good question, but I'll answer it like this.
The United States has sustained the largest deployment of naval
assets since World War Two as a reaction to the
Hamas attacks. Now, remember part of the reason those forces
is over there. We would have forces that are what
we call stage position, ready to move if we were
(07:36):
to receive what we would call actionable intelligence to get
the remaining US citizens out. So there's another element that
would be embedded somewhere, and that, of course that would
be highly classified and sensitive. But all that to say,
we've also got a couple other roles over there to
stabilize the Mid East, and that includes you know, the
what's going on with the Houthis and trying to close
(07:58):
down the Straits and in the Red Sea of trans
and for international trade. So freedom of navigation has been
one of the missions. But this has been an extraordinary
strain on the US Navy. So it's been great to
hear the administration is got that's gotten their attention, and
they have committed to increasing navy ship building where we
(08:19):
need it badly. Could we come back to the Hamas
attacks sort of where we're at, sir. This is a
long term play by Hamas. It's a tet offensive like strategy.
Remember Teed Defensive was the Viet Coong and North Vietnamese
attack on the US forces and Vietnam, and it was
not to defeat the US tactically or operationally, it was
(08:40):
to win the strategic battle of world opinion. So you
might remember famously various photos came out afterwards and it
made us look vulnerable, weak, and that you know, we
had in fact lost. The truth is the Viet Cong
were decimated tactically, but that got lost very quickly with
(09:02):
the information operation on the street and what the sentiment was,
and it turned the US public and the world against
the war. There ergo via the Kong and North Vietnamese
won the strategic battle. And that's simply what's going on
with Hamas. Could I talk about the Palestinian state recognition
by some of the various allies and nations around the world.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Yes, that is where this thing is getting dicey, because
a lot of countries are now backing the Palestinians and Hamas.
Speaker 6 (09:33):
Yes, and you can't separate the two people. Try to
do that, but for all intents and purposes, Hamas is
embedded in the Palestinian nation there and until such time
the decision is made to separate there by the Palestinian people,
it's difficult to do that. Now. All that to say,
from a strategy point of view, it was wholly ill
(09:55):
advised for nations to recognize the Palestinian state without conditions,
and it would have been one of the simplest ones
would have been. Yes, after you remove Hamas from all
elements of leadership of Palestine, you disarm them, you implement
the processes and procedures to ensure they remain disarmed, and
(10:19):
you come into the you know, the world, as a
peaceful nation. To my knowledge, none of those conditions were set.
They merely recognized the Palestinian nation which played right into
the hands of the back to the Hamasis strategy, a
part of their pet offensive like strategy to go around
the US and Israel and world opinion and try to
(10:41):
establish a Palestinian nation that they could continue to control.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
The difference between the Palestinians and Hamas. How much is that?
I just I don't I don't understand what they're going
to end up having to do, Like this is never
going to end even if they go all the way
and try to get rid of of every single Homas
in that in the in that area in Gaza Strip right,
and now you just have Palestinians living there. But aren't
(11:06):
that that that's going to be an impossibility.
Speaker 6 (11:09):
Well, then back to my point about the conditions when
the when they did that without conditions of the Palestinian
state would have to do x y Z ABC one
two three. You've opened up that Pandora's box to just
what you mentioned. I mean, it's it allows them all
sorts of uh, what we call branches and sequels in
the military of what they could get involved in. And
(11:31):
again it remains undefined, although the President's got a twenty
point plan out there, it remains undefined. Fully what they're
going to agree to, because reportedly they've disagreed to some
of those points. But the clock's still running. We'll see
what comes out of it. But to your point, Uh,
(11:51):
they have historically not abide it by any of their
previous agreements, any of the things that they said they
were going to do. And remember who's behind the scenes
missed Iran right, Iran remains the puppet master there. They
do not want peace and palace.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
That Here's what I will say, and I'll ask you
this and what it could have looked like. You know,
I don't care what people out there that are listening
to my voice think about Trump. You're a fan or
you're not a fan, but I do know this. I
would hate to see what that entire area would look
like right now if he did not get voted in,
(12:30):
because I think there is a fear from other countries
of especially the effect it had when he did the bombing.
We did the bombing into Iran and hit those spots,
just sent that message of we're not going to let
this thing go any further out of control. But if
there was a different administration in there, I can't imagine
Israel putting up with all that craziness going on. Can
(12:52):
you imagine what that theater would have looked like if
someone else was in the White House.
Speaker 6 (12:58):
And in this juncture we are read a thing point
where now Iran Pothie's, his Balah and Hamas have been
greatly diminished. This is the time to finish to reset
the mid East. The administrations on the right path include
the Abraham Accords to get peace in the mid East.
(13:20):
And you know, one of the first trips the President
made was to the mid East, and recall if he
went there and met with a number of the leadership,
took a number of the US key leaders with him,
in addition to business organizations, because the economic power will
underpin other elements of national power. But with respect to that,
(13:41):
you're exactly right. If this is a point in time
where the administration is set in the conditions to have
a long term more than an impact the consequences there,
and if if we do not act decisively, we may
miss this opportunity. Accordingly, it's going to be a very
interesting to see if we get sort of a loosing
(14:03):
lose the football. Again with respect to what Hamas does,
because their last bargaining chips are these forty eight hostages
and their weapons. And remember they are not a nation state,
so with they have a political spokesman, they've got the
armed elements, it's not always clear if they're in full alignment,
(14:25):
and then we're down within the armed elements, even they
are not always in full alignment. So you could fully
expect there's going to be those that don't agree and
they're going to resist, you know, the transition to you know,
sort of a peaceful transition to disarmaments. But again, I'm
certain the contingency plans have been built in by the
(14:46):
administration and the Israelis to deal with that.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
It's you know, in all of these finer points, and
there's been so many attacks on navy ships and navy folks.
I remember my son said, you know, he doesn't tell
me a lot. He can't, he said on the phone
because I'm an idiot and asking questions and he doesn't
answer anything. But he did say they did have a
They went through the whole class their officers and said, okay, scenario.
(15:11):
They just threw it on them. Scenario you got two minutes,
you have a boat that's unidentified, it's headed towards your boat. Uh.
The commanding officers not on deck. You have to make
the decision in two minutes what do we do? What
do you do?
Speaker 5 (15:22):
Right?
Speaker 1 (15:22):
So it's this is not simple, but you know by
the book sort of stuff. Man, this is a this
is a crazy theater. And I think you're right. It
rhymes me a lot of Vietnam that that's just there.
You know, it's and it's not easy decisions to make.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
You're exactly right, And it's it's not the good old
days of say, you know, when we were you would
you'd stand off with you know, shirts and skins, so
to speak. Well, there there's that that the armed force.
This is this armed force. There is a lot of
gray and nuance, and the enemy takes advantage of that
to operate sometimes you know, in plain sight. Accordingly, it
gets very complicated, very quickly, and that has to be
(16:02):
factored in, you know, and to that point, you know,
a lot doesn't get reported. And just to remind folks,
during that slaughter two years ago, many of the tortures
and executions of women, children, and men were live stream.
Think about that live stream by Hamas. Now that that
gets blocked here in the US, to my understanding, but
(16:25):
live stream one to celebrate it, two for psychological effect,
three to recruit, four for fundraising. Now that might sound
hard to believe the folks, but that's what you're dealing with,
that type of mindset. So when you transfer that to
where you're at right now, it's hard to believe they're
going to become for lack of better term, reasonable at
(16:45):
you know now that they're down to the last forty
eight hostages. But again the conditions have been set by
Israel in the United States that this is appears to
be one of their last opportunities for to come to
some agreement for their survival. But remember the way they
see the world, survival is different, you know for them,
(17:06):
you know, to to die martyr. You know it's celebrated
as opposed to you know, I will use words necessarily.
Lets you agree to the UH, agree to the peace
Agreement to transition to a peaceful society and establish a
state of Palestine, which is going to again be a
wild card back to the peace of the various nations
(17:27):
recognizing UH Palestine as a state. Again, that is going
to really hurt us in the long run. I would offer,
as we've lost that bargaining chip now to maintain leverage
on the Palestine and people so they can in fact
re enter the world, you know, in the forum as
(17:47):
a peaceful nation.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Yeah, it's it's still a long way to go. And
I can't believe it's just been two years. It seems
a lot longer than that. Ed Galron, thank you so
much for joining us today and thanks for being our
guy Johnny on the spot on days like this again
two years ago. Today, October seventh is the anniversary. So
that's the conversation a lot of folks are going to
be having today. Thank you. And don't drown out there
(18:11):
at the farm, Ed.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
I'm pretty good swimmer learned on in irrigation irrigation farm
in the Ohio River down here.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
In good Thanks Tony as a seal, I hope you
don't drown. I hope you adopted former seal. All right,
Thanks Bud, Thank you, Ed. And on that note, NATS
and National Weather Service flash flood warning where else but
North Bullet and Jefferson County from now until two fifteen pm.
(18:39):
This rain has not stopped and it is still dark
and rainy out there, so flash flood warning please be
advised till two fifteen. This afternoon. We'll get more details
coming up here in the next couple of minutes in
the news back after this on news radio Waight forty
whas let a peta. That is that Salisbury Hill, Salisbury Hill,
(19:05):
good song.
Speaker 5 (19:09):
Man.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
There's so much going on out there right now. There
is a flash flood warning going on till at least
two fifteen. I'm gonna guess they're going to extend that
at the end of this for North Bullet and Jefferson County.
It has been a problem obviously.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
It just does want to stop raining.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
It does not. It's like Gotham City out there downtown.
Nobody's on the streets. I'm sitting here overlooking. We're at
four Street. Obviously, you can see all the way down
to fourth In Muhammad Ali, there's nobody walking around. It's
it's uh, everyone's staying indoors and they should. Really more
updates are coming your way with some news and whether
that's what we do. But they also had a plane.
(19:47):
I don't know if you saw this. They had a
plane run off the runway at Bowman Field. We just
did the show there Bowmenfield. The weather was absolutely perfect.
They had bowman Fest out there. This weekend, which were,
oh it was awesome, forty planes and all that. But
apparently this this plane ran off the runway and onto
Seneca Golf Course. I'm sure we're gonna see video there
(20:11):
and thank god. I don't know golfers are crazy. I
wouldn't think that there wouldn't be any golfers on Seneca
golf course. But you never know.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
I don't know how some people who are really golf that.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Now, no kidding, I mean there, I've got buddies, older
buddies that will play it all through the winter.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Yeah, yeah, there it is.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Plane runs off Louisville Boulmenfield, comes to a stop at
Seneca Golf Course. That looks like, uh, there's a driving
range and I think it's right behind that. But this
isn't a Sessna. This looked like at least a twelve
seat jet private jet. The nosewheel is down and the
(20:55):
two wheels in the back, so it slid to a stop.
I wonder if they the nose wheel. I'm guessing here,
I don't know. I'm not a pilot, uh to help
it stop. But on that that day is a down
slope on Seneca Golf course. If you've ever driven by
you know exactly where it is. You got to check
out the internet to check out some of these these pictures.
(21:19):
But that is I bet you that's scary as heck.
You're on a private jet. One thing is though, in
the last couple of days, these planes have come, They've
dropped out of the sky, These cessness I used to
joke and call them Volkswagens with wings, but they're not
much more than that. I owned a seventy two Beetle
(21:39):
and it seemed like if you put wings on that thing,
it was that's what people were flying around in. I
flew from Tampa to Key West. My uncle died, Uncle Titi.
All of my Cuban relatives have nicknames t T, Lolli, Choucci.
But Uncle t t died eating a moyete at the
Cuban Club and I was flying down there. So I
(22:03):
flew to Tampa with my buddy, and then I drove
to Tampa and then I flew on one of those
cessnas from Tampa to Key West. So you go down
the coast, it was beautiful and back then it was
a couple hundred bucks. That was it. And but when
we came into Key West, I got to tell you, well, well,
first of all, I had never been on a flight
to where you carried your luggage onto the tarmac. You
got on a scale and then they said okay, you're good,
(22:27):
and you got on like I had never done that before.
And then when I got on, I was last. There
were six seats in it. That's it. And when I
sat last, he goes they before they shut the stairs
that I just walked on, they go, you're in charge
of the back door. I was like what. And the
back door was basically one of those little latches that
you put on a bathroom. That's what the latch was.
(22:48):
And I was like, oh okay. And this thing flies
into Key West, the winds take it. We are sideways
about fifty feet above the tarmat or for the runway.
He's straightened that thing out the last second and put
those wheels down. The hell of a job. And nobody,
(23:12):
Oh it wasn't too bad. It was too bad. You
went right down because qs comes shooting around, so you
just go straight to it from Tampa.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
Oh okay, right.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
So, but he was not one person. There was five
or six people on this thing. That was it. That
was all it would hold it. Maybe four people and
not one of us said a word. When that thing
went sideways and we were fifty feet off the runway,
we all figured we were all adults. We're all figured
he's pretty busy. I'm not yelling at the pilot. So
(23:42):
he straightened it out and landed that day and then
turned around and gave us that look like, oh boy.
I was like, We're like, yeah, I know, but these
these planes again, they fall out of the sky all
the time. Man, It's they're tiny. But I get it.
I get getting into it. It's an addiction to man.
We talked to Pat on Friday. You know, he grew
(24:07):
up over there, crawled over the fence when he was
five years old and ran around the airport and said
he never left. He was a great interview. Talked about
his passion of flying. He said it was ninety nine
percent heaven and one percent pure terror. And I said
it sounds like marriage, but flip it, ye right, one
percent heaven and ninety nine percent pure terror. I'm kidding.
(24:32):
I'm only saying that because Jackie's out of town today.
The big news from today, obviously the weather is the
number one. It is the anniversary of the attack on
Israel October seventh. No one will forget that. I spent
the entire day in front of the television, could not
believe my eyes of what was going on. And then
(24:53):
earlier today, Lowell officially lands a UFL football team. This
is pretty big time foot ball besides the NFL, and
they're playing it at this is perfect Lynn Family Stadium.
It would have been a huge mistake to play this
at Cardinal Stadium, huge mistake. Lynn Family Stadium seats about
fourteen thousand rick and it's perfect.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
That's a good looking stadium.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
It really is. If you've never been inside, never been inside,
it's perfect.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
I pass it every day coming to work. But it
is just the way.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
They design these smaller stadiums, which is perfect. It's fourteen
thousand seats and the site lines. If you are in
the corner in the last row, you feel like you're
right on top of the field. And I gotta tell
you it's going to be perfect for football. And I'll
say another thing. It's going to open the door to
move the State ext Trinity football game over there too.
(25:46):
That's not surprising, No, yeah, it needs to. We're I
think they average between fifteen and eighteen thousand. On a
good year it's twenty maybe, huh, but a fourteen thousand,
then you give the tickets some value and it looks
better because every seat is full, right because in the
football game at Cardinals Stadium, most of the kids never
get to their seat, right, so they're all running around
(26:09):
in the concourse. So you don't sit in a seat,
it just looks empty. And even if all eighteen thousand
sat in their seats, it just doesn't look good anymore.
So it's been a crazy, crazy day and we all
started with bitching and moaning about JCPS, and and well deserved.
They have lost their minds. The board I think got
(26:31):
used to getting another one hundred million dollars every single
year to play with, and they just spend it like
an eachen housewife with a rich husband or a professional
athlete that's you know, married his sweetheart and the wife
goes from a college college money to thirty million dollars
(26:53):
a year and just spends it like that's always They're
always going to have it. Their revenue has gone up
so much every single year and they still spend more,
and they still ask for more. Somebody, and I think
people in this city have finally said there was a
(27:17):
little bit of an appetite for it when the vote
came down in twenty twenty. That was five years ago.
But there is zero appetite out there to give JCPS
board more money. Not happening. You got to deal with
what you got Right now, they're spending on average twenty
(27:37):
three thousand dollars per elementary student. This is insane. So
now they're saying, and everyone's going to focus on that
number because it's really a great headline for news. But
they've asked for, and they think estimated two point five
(27:58):
billion dollars for innovations and remodeling of the buildings they
have instead of building new because they have not built
new in forever. But I want to know how many
jobs that pay over six figures in the Van Hughest
office that's moving over to the KFC place, how many
(28:20):
are redundant? Do you really need all those? I know
one specific, the person that used to do the accounting
did it by himself, retired and today there's eleven people
that does his job that he used to do eleven.
And you would think with AI and computers and everything's
(28:41):
on computer and billing comes through a website. Even if
you have a vendor, the vendor probably has to go
to the website put in his numbers. You would think
it would be easier to do accounting today than it
was twenty years ago when he had paper. Everything was
on paper.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Yeah, accounting software is You would think always that's always
being revised, make it easier.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
But you right correct, and you would think it would
be some vendor website. If you're a vendor for JCPS,
you probably go to the vendor website. You put in whatever,
the building and all that. It should be all online exactly.
I wouldn't need Why do you need eleven people in
the accounting office at JCPS. I think there's a lot
(29:27):
of offices like that. Any Ballard High School is the
last high school you built. It's embarrassing, and they keep
spending the money. People used to listen when they say
we need more money to take care of our kids.
And I gotta be honest with you. I was one
of them because I don't think I think a good
high school. If you look at every great neighborhood in
(29:49):
this town, there is a there's a there's a great
school in the center of it. Atherton, Great neighborhood, Trinity
High School, Saint Matthew's great neighborhood. You just name it
out in the south end. You got to sales right
in the middle of it. That neighborhood's fantastic. If you
look at all these Wagner the Center High School neighborhood,
(30:14):
that's how it's supposed to work. But I could do
JCPS all day long with what I have mined out
of interviews and off the record conversations, you wouldn't believe it.
Take a short break, we'll come back again. National Weather
Service flash flood warning going on till two fifteen at
least News Radio eight forty whas crazy day today in
(30:41):
the city of Gotham. Look for Batman to help you
out on the expressways and roadways because every creek and
river is overflowing. Now. It's a flash flood going on
till two fifteen in Jefferson County and Bullet County. I
grew up in this town. You know all the floods
go right to Bullet County. They've helped out with a
lot of that right and a lot of the infrastructure
(31:04):
that has been built since in the last twenty years.
It's cost billions of dollars. I mean, it used to
be a lot worse, a lot worse. But this water
is getting dispersed pretty well today. People don't I mean
people don't remember. They forget how it just rained a
little bit and everybody's street was overflowed. But the money
(31:25):
has and put it into good, good spots. The water is
getting dispersed, so that is good. But please be careful.
It's not gonna it's not going to end anytime soon.
Rick you with me tomorrow again.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
No, I'll be with you on Friday.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
