Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, come in, Good morning everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It is the Tony Dwight Chill, brought you by the
Kentucky Office of Highway Safety. I am Tony Venetti. John
William Alden the Third is our producer today. Dwight will
be back on Thursday, a couple of days away. I
think he flies in today and then does his decompression
and hangs out with Lemmy. He has special half. He
does this all the time. Yeah, he'll do a week

(00:23):
and a half or two weeks off, and good for him,
because really, I don't think we've had a lot of
time off.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Do both of y'all save most of it for you know,
the latter portion of the.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Year depends on the year. Dude, Nick Coffee was saying
that he was like, like last summer, I was, we
were gone all summer long, we were in all these
different places, and this summer not because obviously the remodel
and got people in your house.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Well, we're getting the floor today. We're getting the floor today.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Congratulations.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I want to cry. We're getting the floor today. The
electric got fixed yesterday. I'm feeling good.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Knock on wood.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I shouldn't be talking about it because something's going to
go wrong. Just like this, Senators will attempt another vote
to end the shutdown. Senators will be back at the
Capitol today for another attempt to end the federal government shutdown.
Now it's in its third week. A vote is planned,
but there's little sign of progress for funding the government,

(01:21):
with both Democrats and Republicans seemingly dug in and not
going anywhere.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
The main sticking point is the.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Expiration of the ACA tax credits that is Obamacare, I believe, right,
ACA Affordable Care Act. Yeah, that's true, Yes, which, if
not renewed, cause premiums for millions of Americans to increase
up to three hundred percent. We've been used to that.
I think that's what my first job, I didn't even

(01:50):
pay for insurance health insurance. My company paid it for
me because I think it was forty dollars a month.
It's gone up every year that I've been an adult,
so I get it. It could go up another three hundred percent,
but at the top end of the estimates, and who
knows how much, but they're going to continue to go up.
It's never going to go down. Whatever we're paying for

(02:12):
healthcare now will well locked in here or go up.
So we're kind of used to it, but I don't
want to see that. So House Democrats also, actually Marjorie
Green was the one that was ringing the bell, saying, hey,
this could hit us in the ballot box if we
do not pass with that included Democrats are also meeting

(02:35):
today discuss how they can move forward and get this done.
Just get it done, man. We all are sick and
tired of you. Your approval ratings are they're never good
for senators and congressmen congress people, but it's all time low.
It's not that we don't believe in you, we don't

(02:55):
like you. We are forced to vote for one of
you because that's what goes on. It's just a leffer
lesser of two evils. Most of the time I walk
into ballot box. I'm not kidding you, it's like, ugh, okay,
I guess this guy click. Some good news for a
local company, sort a local company used to be local company.

(03:17):
Papa John's International shot up yesterday. I don't know if
you paid attention to this, reports of a private takeover bid.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Dunt dunt, dun, I have it. I do it there
it is.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Shares of the got this from Louisville Business First. Shares
of Louisville Dash, Atlanta based Pizza Giant were up thirteen
percent yesterday as of three pm on Monday. The jump
followed reports at Apollo Management and Katari Investments Fund have
made a bid for the.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Pizza chain operator. Dude.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Shares later shot up nine point seven percent to forty
five dollars and sixty two cents. A couple of years
ago when the Papa John's or John Schnader thing went down,
and that was crazy to watch anyway that a person
could lose his whole control of his entire company, but

(04:16):
it happened, and shares went down to I don't know
if you remember this, John, I know you followed the market.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I did follow along with his. I remember when he
gained a decent amount of waiting. He had that interview
where he said the day of reckoning will come.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah remember that.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, Well it had gone down to like nine dollars,
like it was nine dollars a share. And this is
the time because Ford did this twenty years ago, and
I and I kicked myself for not getting in because
Ford and Papa John's, those companies aren't going anywhere.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
So I said, you should call.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Your guy, put some money in there and wait it out. Well,
guess what it's now, you know, trading at forty five dollars.
It was nine dollars four years ago. And this year
if you okay the fifty two week share for Papa John's,
get this, it's went from thirty dollars to sixty dollars.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
So if you put one thousand dollars in there, right,
is that how the math works for trading thirty dollars?
If you put a thousand bucks of shares in, you know,
or a thousand shares, sorry, you double your money thirty
bucks to sixty bucks. Papa John's is the seventh largest
public company with a Louisville headquarter, with two billion dollars
and twenty four revenue, down from two point one billion

(05:35):
the previous year. Posted earnings of eighty four million dollars
in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Not bad.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I thought the best thing they did was after the
Papa Johns or John Schnatter thing, they went and got
Shack as their spokesman. And I thought that is brilliant
because everyone loves Shack, Like there's nobody that doesn't like Shack.
He is a universally loved human being, and that was brilliant.

(06:04):
It was a brilliant move on their part, and it worked,
and you continue to do the right things, and that's
what it is. Remember they moved the right soon after that,
they couldn't wait to move the muscle from the office
out of town to Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
The funny thing is.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
People that have moved to Atlanta that will tell you
it sounds great, but Atlanta is a tough city to
live in and it's all one word traffic.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
You cannot get anywhere in Atlanta. Traffic.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
They called their version of you know, like the waters
and of the Geen Sneinder, they call it the parking lot.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
It's accurate, it's accurate. It's one of the stops if
you drive to Florida. We all do, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta.
We say prayers before we get to each one of
those cities.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
When you leave for your vacation, off of trying to
get through Atlanta at the best possible.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yes time, that's exactly right.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
You cannot time out your road trip to hit Atlanta
anywhere between three pm and seven pm. And that's a big,
wide margin there, but it's Nashville. Nashville has been better.
That time has been okay. So five Hail Mary's were good.
Then you get to Chattanooga, that's at least ten our fathers, okay,

(07:31):
the Lord's prayer. And then when you get to Atlanta,
you do twenty make everybody in the car twenty Hail
Mary's each, and then you just get stuck. We got
caught in Atlanta traffic on the way back, and it
was so bad. We just pulled off in a neighborhood
of Atlanta and got a hotel. And we got lucky

(07:53):
because when we pull first pulled off, it looked like
a demilitarized zone and I was like, oh my god,
this is this is nuts. Just three streets over it
was this mecca, beautiful neighborhood with two million dollar houses
and all these restaurants.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
And we were like perfect, and we pulled in hotel.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
We had a great night, had a great dinner, got
up and finished the road trip.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
The next day.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I was not gonna sit in this thing for the
next two hours or three hours.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
We're starving. We're old, I'm tired of driving. Sound old, Donah,
you do sound old?

Speaker 3 (08:27):
I hope I never get to the point where I'm
sick of where I think it's too much to drive
twelve hours to Florida.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Oh you're days away from that, bro.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Days do you think that's coming that soon?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I used to drive to Florida by myself, dude, and
it was not an issue, and they'd even after kids.
I would drive back fourteen to sixteen hours by myself.
Dad drives the car every once in a while, wife
jumps in the driver's seat, but pretty much you drive
it all. Now I'm not sure now. I just did

(08:59):
ten hours from Charleston, but I was by myself, so
I didn't have to deal with someone else. We got
to stop. Someone else wants to play the music. Someone
else I'm on a call, so you can't play any music.
It was just by myself, so I got to play
Tony music and jamming the whole way.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
I did the ten.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Hours in one day. It wasn't bad, so I admit
fifty six. The ten hours were actually easy, peasy.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
I got it done.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
But it was zero traffic, Like I ran into zero
traffic from Charleston Louisville.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
What big cities do you even go through?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Wing Knoxville, it's not a big city, but Knoxville is
basically the town, the only town you really because you
go through rural areas basically thought.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Just hoping for no interstate construction that's will to slow
you down.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Those Well, just outside of Charleston is ash where that
where that flood Ashville where the flood just wiped out everything. Yep,
and drive. I mean that expressway through the mountains. You know,
it had roaded the road all the way down. So

(10:05):
I'm driving in literally six inches from my tire is
straight down three four hundred feet and construction going on everywhere,
and people handled it pretty well, but it was really
super slow. I get it, so we don't want to die.
Pay attention. I took the driver's seat from my son.
I was like, em, I'll drive you here. That's okay.

(10:27):
I've got a couple of guests today. Nick Roush is
going to come on later to talk about stoops. Anytime
there's a coaching search, it's big time. People start to
perk up. Some people just go through the football season
or basketball season and it says like I'm interested and
I'll hear about it. But when there's a coaching search,
everyone's kind of in going who's going to be next.

(10:49):
We'll see what he says. And they have the money,
they got sec money, they can go out and get
some money. Of course, they have to pay the last
guy off Stoops unless Stoops gets a job and then
I don't know his contract says then. But there there's some,
there's some, there's some people out there. They've been kicking around.
You don't want to hear it, Louisville fans, but they've

(11:10):
been kicking around will Stein, former Trinity Rock, former Louisville quarterback,
and he is the offensive mind in college football right now.
And that could be because will Stein's dad, I think,
played for Kentucky, so there's a Kentucky connection. But that

(11:31):
would that would be tough.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
That would be tough.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
That would really reinvigorate the rivalry though, oh big time.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
I mean big time.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Well, I mean it would be the same as uh
and will Stein was an All American, but Howard Sneldberger
was an All American for UK and then went to
coach U of L. But will Stein doesn't seem like
he was at U of L not too long ago.
But he is an offensive genius right now and someone
is going to grab him and that's that's the names
that have been thrown around. You not gonna get Franklin.

(12:01):
I mean, that's not I don't know what you And
all these people saying that Signetti is gonna go to
Penn State are you nuts?

Speaker 1 (12:07):
That's not happening.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Signetti may maybe he does humor some jobs down the road.
But here, here's the thing with with all of the
Penn State stuff. If Indiana is in the playoff gamers,
they will be I believe, and they make a run
for a national title. If you're Penn State, you don't
want to wait for him to be done. You're gonna
want to have somebody in early December and players. You
can't sit there and wait for Signetti to finish the season.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Isn't Signetti gonna go after the Penn State players that
he that they have?

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Gosh, I would imagine so right, they're.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Calling him now, Hey, dude, you got a spot right here,
let's go. They're not.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
You're not gonna get anybody better than us, Baby, come home,
be part of the be part of the who's your rising?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Man, I don't know. And now Indiana is gonna I
don't what is Signetti making? Do you know, three eight
point three million dollars a year, so it's only two.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
It's only so. James Franklin was making eight and a half,
so they're they were on the same level in terms of.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Oh my lord, yeah, there's no. I'm sorry, he's not
going to Penn State. No, he's already making eight million
a year, which I think is crazy. Sorry, that is
that is nuts. All right, when we come back, where
do you fit? Actually we're gonna talk to Austin about Louisville.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
We haven't talked about Louisville at all, I mean really
all season.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Well has They've already had two bye weeks? No, why
do you have two bye weeks?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
This two by weeks in a schedule and then lose
a tight game against Virginia.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Not good.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
So they had taken on the bully down near Miami
Friday night. And I love Jeff Brom. Grew up with
Jeff Brom, Trinity connection, all that, known him for thirty years.
But he said he'd tell you, He'll tell you nothing
in the press conference. Those are the vanilla Tubby Smith,
Denny Crumb. You ain't getting you ain't getting anything of

(14:06):
friends coference. I love you, Jeff but dude, say something
except for coach speech. All right, So when you come back,
we'll talk to Austin Montgomery. He promised he's going to
have some takes on this Louisville in Miami matchup. We'll
talk about that. Plus, I'm gonna tell you where you
fall in the top So where is your income versus

(14:29):
percentage in Kentucky? Okay, Louisville Business first has a good
one where you know, how much do you have to
make to be the top one percent? How much do
you think you have to make, John Alden in Kentucky
to be the top one percent of the threshold of
income per household in Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Income per household, Yes, I do. I would even know
where to base that off of. I was, I guess
you probably you're probably making per house old maybe eight
hundred thousand. It's a lot less than that, less than
maybe six hundred thousand, it's.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Less than that.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
So we'll talk about it when we get back. Plus,
I think most people want to know, Joe I cracked that.
I think when I tell you what the top five
percent is, you're going to go, oh, we're I think
we're there. I think people will say that you know
that they'll they'll learn that their top five percent. Most
likely we'll talk about it. Plus, I'll tell you that
the cities, I'm sorry, the states that have the highest

(15:24):
number to get to the one percent and the lowest
in Kentucky. Yes, is on the lowest list. So we'll
talk about that when we come back. Edland and Edland.
If you're selling your home, it's one percent commission rate.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Eight hundred.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
That's the owner's cell phone. Did you call them right now?
So you're going to sell my property for one percent
commission rate? Yep, we got We're on it. And no
surprises on the back end. There's no charges in the paperwork.
It's because some people try to sneak that in. They've
been a real estate brokeraach for forty six years. Edland
and Edland one percent commission rate. That's all you need
to know nine twenty eight hundred or go to Edland

(15:58):
dot com. Back after this on news radio eight forty whs.
That is the old school University of Little Fighting Cardinal
Fight Zone. Louisville's biggest football game to date is Friday
night in Miami against top ranked Miami Hurricanes. They are

(16:19):
good on both sides of the ball. They are good
in the trenches, they are good at wide receiver, they
are good at running back, they are good at quarterback.
Louisville is yet to kind of see what they are.
The Virginia game, there were so many mistakes and things. Look,
you know, you can take five or six plays away
from any football game and it could go the other way.

(16:39):
That clearly was the case against Virginia. That could have
easily been a win, but it was not. So Austin
Montgomery has really gotten better at sports. Even though you're
the HATTI yaw wamz DJ.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Talk a little pig skin come out.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
I asked you to sort of give me your thought
because we have not I was just telling John, we
have not talked about Louisville football all year long.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I noticed that it has been in.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
All year It's either been a crap opponent, a boring opponent,
or a loss to Virginia. And Virginia did beat Clemson
or Florida State.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Florida State.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, but now that win is not looking as good
as as it was earlier in the season. So, Austin,
how important or un how important or not is the
game on Friday?

Speaker 4 (17:36):
I think for my big hot take with this game.
This is the last chance for Jeff Browning Company to
really bring the fans back to football, because after this
something happens and they lose it's head onto basketball. I
think a lot of people have been let down by
the season. Specifically, I tell you say, you don't know
who Louisville is, I'll tell you who they are. They're

(17:56):
like the son of the Beasts, Like they're a roller coaster, right.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
You bet you don't know. Yes, at King's Island it's
the Sun of the Beast, or.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Just a up and down team. You just we've gotten
a little bit of everything we've gotten on times, or
they are there, we've gotten times, or they just come
out and make mistakes everywhere. They were down ten points
against Pittsburgh and had to come back and score seven.
I had to outscore them seventeen to nothing, and their
defense looked. Their defense has been something that a lot
of Cardinal fans, including myself, as questioned about because why

(18:30):
do you bring back Ron English? That was one of
the things that we were all harping on the defense
for last year. He's held up his end of the
deal because you're not going to be able to stop
any everybody every single drive. You're gonna have to win
football games sometime by score thirty points, yes, score, and
they've had to do that. They've had to put the
ball in Miller Moss's hands for that Pittsburgh game and

(18:50):
they won the turnover battle the very next week. When
you play Virginia, your quarterback's making mistakes. He's horizontal to
the ground, he's throwing things that are just his on
his hands, Sam pick.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
When he's falling down and throws it to him inexcusable.
That reminded me of was Shuck last year? Yeah, yes, yeah,
and then the previous year was Plumber. Yeah, Plumber did
that in the UK game. He just threw it to
the UK guy and gave him six points. Break. Yeah,
that was that was That was just the things where
you're like, what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Well? The calling card is supposed to be what everyone
was sold on as you had this uh all accy
all acc running back, Isaac Brown, Duke Watson. You thought that,
if anything.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
You're gonna be able to run the ball and eat
the clock.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
HM.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
The question was always Miller Moss, what's this offense gonna do?
What is Jeff brom seeing him. What is he going
to when Miller Moss goes through the Jeff Brohm car wash,
as I like to call it, what's he going to
look like? But now you have Louisville I was We
would have called you crazy as Cardinal fans if you
would have told me a month before the season that
heading into the Miami game, Louisville would be ranked out

(19:57):
of the top one hundred and rush yards per game.
There are one hundred and twelve right now with two
stud running backs.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Okay, I don't follow it as like I used to.
Are they both hurt? Or is the offensive line suck?
It's a little bit of both. There's been a lot
of questions with both Brown and Watts. In the last
couple of weeks. They've been listed on the injury reports questionable,
but still have been playing it right. Okay, So Jeff,
he's not going to show that he's frustrated, But to me,

(20:24):
he looks frustrated. Yeah, there are mistakes, the penalties in
the wrong again. You know when you count up the penalties,
A lot of teams get a lot of penalties. It's
when you get the penalties that kill you. Yep, it's
drive killing penalties that are easily not you.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Why did you do that?

Speaker 4 (20:45):
And the biggest thing you can also have. I've also
hear Nick Coffee talk about this. I've heard him talk
about with you before. One of the things that's hampered
Jeff Brohm over the last couple of years is his
end of half play management, and that's came into it
with false starts, are holding a something that just matt.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Fourth and one, fourth and four And then, by the way,
I want to know if it's easy to look up
what his fourth down percentage is, because it's got to
be all no, it's got to be awful. I don't
know why he's running those. The reason he lost two
years ago at Pittsburgh in that rain, Remember when Louis
was undefeated. They lost because they went forward on fourth
and one, they got the ball and they very kicked

(21:23):
the field goal. Yeah, it was. It was terrible. And
and the fact that they're not creative plays. That's what
gets me. If it's a super creative play and you
get fourth and one, great, but it is just line
up and try to get a yard sometimes. Look, Jeff
was known as the Savant. He was the Bobby Petrino
of a couple of years ago, and you're like, that's
not very creative. So I guess he thought I can

(21:46):
bring in Moss even though he's not experience. He threw
six touch chowns against Louis in the ball game. But
we have the running game, so we can bring him
along with a week schedule and then use the running
game for the first couple of games and get him
acclimated to college football at least in the ACC. YEP,
that hasn't happened, or are we over evaluating Moss?

Speaker 4 (22:10):
I also kind of think to like the last question,
a little bit of both, because you had to rely
on Miller Moss in the Pittsburgh game because you were
not getting anything with the run game, so we had
to bring you back. He threw for over three hundred yards,
almost four hundred yards and four touchdowns. He threw a
couple of interceptions, but the running game was not happening.
I think Isaac Brown was dinged up, Keiwan Brown was

(22:31):
dinged up, and he had Duke Watson that was dinged
up too, and that Pittsburgh was not giving anything. So
you had to put the ball in Miller Moss's hands.
That's what week three, when you're even still hearing the
announcers talk about this Jeff Brom system is a little
bit tough to complicate. A little bit complicated, Yeah, to
kind of get adjusted to. And that's what Miller Moss
is still trying to learn because he's still trying to

(22:52):
build up his confidence. He was bench last year at USC,
so he's going to give everything to Jeff Brom And
you know Jeff Brom, he's gonna everything to his quarter
quarterback with he was he was one of those guys
Tony you know, was a guy that a lot of
people didn't believe in. And he's not just gonna give up.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Got his first quarterbacks drafted. I mean they're both on
NFL rosters. So I look, I there's the talent of
the two running backs they brought back, and it was
a miracle. I thought that we brought him back are undeniable.
The talent's undeniable. But I'm a I'm a big back guy.
I'm a two hundred and thirty pound Yeah, just thumperck roll.

(23:32):
If you get one that has breakaway seed, bittem right.
And the thing is those running backs, the ones, the
special ones that are two thirty six foot six foot two,
six foot two thirty. They get stronger as the reps go,
so they're they're getting stronger on Rep. Seventeen eighteen nineteen.

(23:52):
When you've got a guy that's got twenty five carries
and he's the single back back there and you see
him and he's a beast, and you're like, we're handing
off between the tackles right now, and you know the
linebackers are tired of tackling him him in space, yes,
and they're like, oh, I got to tackle this dude again. Dude,
that's the back I like. I like the little scatback guys,

(24:14):
and that's what they are. They they they want to
make moves in traffic and then break out in some
open space exactly and then gone, that's what they do, yes,
boom boom boom out. Well again, I like the bigger back.
I wish we had one of those guys right now.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Just yeah, rock bowl. Well, you give it.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
The thunder and lightning sort of thing, so you hit him,
hit him with one pace of a back and then
you hit him with the other and it keeps keeps
the defense.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Honest.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
I've always liked that because you have Isaac Brown as
your as your typical one through three, and then you
get Duke Watson in there for a like you just said,
a change of pace type of back. And I will
tell you one good thing to believe in. At least
with Miller Moss, he seemed to found his rhythm. With
Chris Bell. Chris Bell is now finally showing he's a
bad He can possibly be a first round n IF
one of the first couple of wide receivers taken right.

(25:00):
He's really good. He had a career day against Virginia
that got screwed up. It had a really good game
against Pittsburgh. So this is going to be interesting to see.
And and there Miami's no slotches too. They have Carson
Beck and they have Malachai Tony there. They're going to
be really good. This is just going to be as
strictly if Louisville basically needs to play the game that
they played against Clemson last year where it's perfect. They

(25:21):
need to be able to run the ball well and
no mistakes.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Right now, let's let's bring in the off the field
stats thread about Jeff brom What is Jeff bron famous
for winning big, huge games? He has no business winning
and losing the ones like Virginia. Yep, right, So he

(25:45):
did it all at Purdue, he did it at Western,
did it at Purdue and at Louisville. Could this game
be one of those Jeff bromps. He just lost to
Virginia and then he's going to win the big one
and maybe drop another one after that game.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
But that would make me scared.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Yeah, that's the end of Jeff Brown.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
He'd be the reverse Jeck Broun.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
He pulls off that big win, he's not supposed to win,
and that could happen Friday night.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
So if he wins, I'll go there's Jeff Brown. Yep,
there he is.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
And then we're looking and we're just we're sweating the waiting.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Waiting for the shoe to drop, right right, yeah, right exactly.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Cal comes in here and we're just like.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I think pundits were ready to talk about Louisville this
season and they have not talked about them at all.
Is that accurate to say sure any of these shows.
I think the beginning of the season, they were like
louis was going to be exciting, Jeff is the quarterback whisperer.
They got two of the best backs in America. This
is going to happen. Their schedule sets up for a
play a playoff run, and then nothing for the first

(26:42):
six weeks of the season.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
I would also say that Louisville Twitter, even though I
think sports Twitter in general is some of the most
toxic places.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
I can't even go on Twitter anymore.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Twitter is a cesspool of insanity.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
And you're absolutely right. Aside from there is some running
back drama with the are these guys really injured? Because
you have Brown always questionable, now Duke Watson's questionable every
time that you look at the injury report. The last
couple of weeks, there's a lot of talk about what's
really going on with the running back room. But there's
a lot of momentum on the Twitter side and excitement

(27:14):
about the season has died down, and that is partially
to a poor schedule. That is partially to like John said,
there's been two bye weeks already in the first what
six seven weeks?

Speaker 3 (27:24):
I know, so like that's not even halfway through your schedule.
Yet you can lay five games, yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
And then you have and now you have yeah, And
don't dismiss it's a Friday night that means it's the
only game on television, So this is an opportunity to
look to change the narrative or an opportunity to put
you in the grave for the rest of the year.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
And Louisville has normally done typically well in Friday night games.
The last time that they went to Miami, they beat
Miami and they secured their spot in the ACC champions
Yeah games.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
His name is Austin Montgomery. WAMZ. Do you have an
AMZ voice?

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Or is this it?

Speaker 4 (27:57):
No?

Speaker 1 (27:57):
This is it? Okay?

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Do I not have an accent?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (28:01):
You sound like you're from You're from Arizona, aren't you?
You have that West West.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
I've had a couple of people tell me that. But
also when I talk to other people, they say, Oh,
you're definitely from the south, aren't. I don't consider Kentucky
the South by it's not.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Some people, Uh yeah, they don't realize they have a
little twang.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Most little villions is most little millions, don't.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
I've got a Bullet County accent that comes.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Out of county County, County, Bulay County. We have changed
Bullet County to Boulay County. They're fancy now.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Bougie.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Boulay County, Bullet.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
County used to be redneck. They are now Boulay County.
Their fancy. That's officially changing. We're gonna that's gonna be
a thing. Everybody in Boula County needs to call it
Boule County.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
In Mount Washington, yes, dropping.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
The art, No Mount Washington, and they need to George Washington.
They need to have a big statue of George Washington.
That's what they need to. Right, John to John's point.
Mount Washington whether not a mount that's right, no mountain.
There's no mountain, so it's just really Washington. I guess

(29:08):
they had to ride their horse uphill at some point.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
And they went, wow, it's a mountain here in Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
It was a mountain called me Washington.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
Then they just left and never came back.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Washington. Zill's good. Austin Montgomery, thank you for your input,
thank you for having me on, and go Cards. That's right,
all right, Go Cards. Kentucky has who.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
By the way, they got Texas? Yeah, okay, that's I
don't seem a little bit more winnable than it was
at the beginning of the season.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Yeah. The Manning kid all play in games.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
They have no business playing well then yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
No, yeah about that, Yeah, there's no doubt. All right, man,
short break will come back. But first, Christian Brothers Roofine.
I love this company. When I first started to deal
with them, I love the company so much, and I
called my nephew and said, go work for them.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
I will at least ply. They hired him. He's been
there for like four years. It's a great company.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
I wouldn't send a relative over there to work if
I I didn't really believe in these guys. Aaron owns
the company and he's been It's been around since nineteen
