Speaker 1 (00:01):
Thank you Jack Fox.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
As we broadcast live that Tony and Dwight Child brought
you by the Kentucky Offensive Highway Safety Quills on East
Main Street. Come on by, what a great place. I
just got some green tea. Maddie had her fancy little
cappuccino thingy. As we roll through, we've been talking to
folks from USA Cares of course, partners with US. Matt
Caster forever, and I bring in my friend John Ramsey.
(00:24):
I've known for one hundred thousand years and I think
we all have had sort of a relationship for a
very long time. And someone just handed a credit card
to John Ramsey. That's a dangerous thing. No, I didn't
think your wife let you have the credit cards.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
I actually gave it up for USA Cares.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
That's how much I believe, absolutely absolutely. And the Venmo,
by the way, is USA Cares one. Just pull your
phone up, pull Venmo.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
That's how I do it all the time. People doing
it right now.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah, USA Cares one, the number one. And you're going, John,
how do you how are you involved in all this?
I know you're with the Mayor's office and you're in
you are in charge of fund.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
I am director of city partnerships, and this is one
of those that I had before I joined the Mayor's
team two and a half years ago. Matt and I
go back in a number of different directions, but with
that being said, USA Cares has honored me with I
amc the Groundhog Day event that they do every year.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
It's a big event that they.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Do it with a golf house at the Golf Hoouse.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yeah, and it's packed every year and it's I was
just so touched by the stories, Tony. I said, any
way I can help, I said, let me because if
you ever had a cause ind of your giving and
you say, you know, I want to make an impact,
this one does.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I hear these really touching stories.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
They're all true, and USA USA Cares steps in and
they helped that transition from you know, military life to
civilian life, make that goes and reduce the chances of suicide,
which is very high.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
As Matt knows, I'm sure you've talked about.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, that's one of the tools in the toolbox for
USA Cares. We just had Maddie and Angelo on They're amazing. Yeah,
Maddie was getting emotional, which got me emotional, and you know,
I'm an emotional cyboard. So she got me going, what
stories And she's talking about stories from like four days ago.
It's not like he was like, oh, here's a story
from this year. No, she's like, no, we got somebody
(02:08):
in the house before the holidays.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
No, It's unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
And the people who work in our call center, I
mean the stories that they hear day in and day out,
and they've got such a passion and a heart to
make a difference for these people. It was two weeks
ago we had a twenty year veteran living in a
tent with nothing, had lost everything, And how do you
get that person back and try to show give them
some hope, try to give them some encouragement and a
(02:32):
new path forward and show them, hey, there's a way
out of this and there's a way to move forward.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Our team does that every day.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
And when people invest in USA Cares, that's what they're
investing in.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
They said they averaged about two hundred and fifty calls
a week. Yeah, you can't get to everybody.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
No, we can't. We can't.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
And when that government shut down happened, we've got crushed.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Oh crush. Yeah, so that sucked.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
Up a lot of the funding and some of their
jobs were there when they got back right exactly.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
And you can imagine Tony when you have the skills
that of someone who volunteers to join the military.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
These are people who want to survive on their own.
They want to do things on their own.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
It's, you know, for lack of a better term, I
don't know if it's you know, I'm the man or
the woman of the house, or I've got to be
a provider that's in their DNA. So these guys help them.
Sometimes they are struggles, and believe me, there were some
great stories with really good endings about people who were struggling.
USA Care steps in and now they're thriving. So it's
it's a fantastic organization.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Well, thank you, John for you're a lot Like Babe.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
You go to an event because we're asked to do
a lot, and then when one touches us, we go.
We rarely do it, but we will go and say,
you know what I'm in What what can I do?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
John? Thank you for doing that. That's awesome. What's the groundhog?
How do I go to the groundholl feam, I think
I went to you? Is it a breakfast.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Yeah, yes, that's the thing where you have a giant
your picture is up there.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I thought I thought I was going to the USA Cares.
You unseen it. You did a great job.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
It was funny that made people sick.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Before that picture down, there was a story there and
you were talking about stories. One that really touching, and
they all touched me. But there was one this gentleman
who was in the military. I think he had a
high ranking Yeah, and his son. He was telling the
story tony real quickly. So his son suffered from depression,
also military, and he said one morning he got up,
he was all dressed up. He said, I'm gonna go
(04:16):
see my sister. He said, and I'm gonna go see
and he was talking abou all these people. He was
saying goodbye, and he committed suicide and his dad discovered him.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
It broke my heart and I said.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Oh my god. And this guy just wanted to do
it right. He said, he wanted to leave the room quietly.
And I mean, right now, I'm tearing up. It's happing.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
You.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Hear a lot of these stories and they're true, but
also there's the good stories. And if you give the
USA Cares you're helping the good outcomes.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Those are the injuries.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
You don't see what you're talking about there, And I
see that you're getting emotional now as you talk about it,
because that's you know, I think everybody we exposed USA
Cares to there, they're sure. Like John and I were
sure because I did the same thing six years ago.
I said, okay, I'm in. It sucked me into yeah, right,
it's just okay, I'm in. And you bring up a
great point.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
You know, when we lose somebody, and we're losing twenty
two a day right now. When we lose somebody, the
story doesn't end. There's still a family left behind, and
we want.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
To be there.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
The other part of the story for USA Cares is
taking care of those families when they lost somebody.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, yeah, and again we talk about that. The current
servicemen that are serving it, our women that are doing
it now just got out. But I have a friend that's,
you know, seventy years old. He fought Vietnam, didn't have
PTSD until he was sixty five. Yeah, and he was
an MPD officer and all that, and it hit him
hard and he had no idea where to go.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
So there's those stories are everywhere.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
John.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I appreciate you hanging out with us today and USA
Cares and thanks for coming by.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I know you all are busy. Is crazy. Light up
Louisville's tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Yeah, light up Louisville but at a huge event, and
I know the mayor and everyone's looking forward to it,
and Tony, as you know, it may sound the corner,
but I always say that Louisville is a great place
to raise adults. Yeah, my buddy Mike Maloney who listens
to you all the time, it's made sure. That's him
and Wayne Headinger. They work so hard to give. It
kind of brings this community together. So I'm looking forward
(06:14):
to it. I'll do anything for you. USA Caris when
Matt asked me, I'm on it because I believe, as
you know, when you believe in something.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
It's easy.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
It's this is not a chore, this is this is
something I should It's a mission.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Okay, when's the breakfast?
Speaker 5 (06:25):
By the way, so the breakfast is February secondbruar.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Okay, just go to the website and.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
Stay they Groundhog Day breakfast. Everybody would know when it is.
And then okay, what it is? So no work at all.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
I'm not very smart. It's now connecting to me right now.
That's good.
Speaker 5 (06:41):
And then we got our gala coming up again July nineteenth,
also at the golf House.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
All right, thank you John, John Ramsay, ladies and gentlemen
with the Mayor's office, thank you, man Matt, thank you
so much.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
If you find Kyle when you sent her over, Oh
there she is, Kyle Kyle. Come on, thanks fellas.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
All right, we are broadcasting live from Quill's here on
East Main Streets. We are here till noon today again
USA Cares.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Those stories you just heard there are very similar to
most people that once you get involved with USA Cares,
you just go, okay, I'm in and I'm looking at
a blonde Kyle Shephard right now, looking good, looking good?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Did you make those ear rings?
Speaker 6 (07:21):
I did not?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
You did not.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I know that's what I was because I've seen I
used to see you at the U of L Games,
and you would have something new doing your thing.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
And who did you bring with you?
Speaker 6 (07:31):
This is Heather Been since she's with the Crusade for Children.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Oh hello, Heather, you're combining my favorite charities of all time.
USA Cares is there, And of course crusade is non negotiable.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
That is non negotiable. That's what you have to do.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
We do Crusade for children trivia here in a couple
of minutes. Uh, and we give money at the end
of the year.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
And now that we've had we've had we have three
people that match that number.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
I so when I did the crusade on Sunday more,
I mean I brought four checks. I think it was
six thousand dollars that ended up being. So every dollar
goes to the kids. So we love it all right,
But you're here with the fireman's yes.
Speaker 6 (08:09):
Yes. So the calendar for the third year, we're doing
our calendar for the pre Safe for Children. All the
Prussies go to that. We've got. It's a true calendar
from January to December this year. In the past it's
been like a fiscal calendar.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
And these are all Louisville firemen.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
These are all in our Jefferson County or Louisville. Yes,
and these are all the minimum women. So there are
women in the calendar as well. There's a first responder.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
I saw Metro Safe in there.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
Taker.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
I think I've met her that she answers nine one
one call.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
Yes. Yeah, and Dana she's an important story. Of course.
She was one of the first calls for the old
National Banks.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yeah, and so she was right.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
She's truly a first responder. She's the first person.
Speaker 7 (08:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
I think we had her on, Yes, yeah, we did.
We had her on. She told that story, which was nuts.
It was crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
And I see a fou man chew mustache on one
of these firemen. That is that's that's you got to.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
Do it, right, Nick Elder from PRP. We I tried.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Okay, here's the deal, Kyle. You work at the zoo. Yes,
I do you do photography?
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (09:04):
How did you get to this calendar?
Speaker 6 (09:06):
So? I have volunteered for the Crusade for like twenty
more than twenty years.
Speaker 8 (09:09):
At this point.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
When I used to work at WHASTV, you just kind
of your grandfathered in and then once you're in, you're
in because you don't want to leave, right. And I
wanted to blend my passions the whas Crusade for children
as a passion of mine and fire services of passion.
I think I always wanted to be maybe a firefighter
at some point I would love to see. You know,
I did not pursue that honestly, and then I wanted
to combine my photography skills and just into a passion project.
(09:33):
So this is our third year. All the proceeds benefit
the Crusade. I get to tell their stories, these these
men and women who give so much of their time
and to their community.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
How do they get the calendar?
Speaker 6 (09:43):
You can get it at WHS Crusade dot org, which
is fine.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
You can also this Sunday, which is why I'm here.
I'm hoping that we can get people out to the
ox More Center with a calendar signing.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Okay Oxmore, Yes, I'm in what time?
Speaker 6 (09:55):
Ox Moore Center? Twelve to four?
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Okay, you can get your calendar. You're going to be
in the well. There's like a Starbucks or something right there.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
Center court, right, yeah yeah, j yeah, yeah, yes, Cass. Okay,
we'll have a fire truck out there.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
For the kids to engage with you a pull fire
truck into the mall, not in the.
Speaker 6 (10:08):
Mall outside, but they can engage with it before they
see us, and then before they go in to see Santa.
Of course, is there. I'm not sure which tween stands
is in, but all the proceeds, like I said, benefit
the Crusade will have them there on hand for fifty
Most of the of the firefighters that are in the
calendar are going to be there and they can sign it,
you can.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Mean them be fine. You know, Crusade is all year round.
This is part of it.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
It's all one piece of the jinga stack. Yes, right,
that that is the Crusade. But people do sort of
choose around the holidays to give a little extra. Yeah,
tell me about what's going on with the Crusades some
of the things that you can highlight right now, because
you know we're all part of that WHS Radio, WHS
television for one hundred years.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
And what number are we on now? Seventy for Crusade.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
This next June will be the seventy third.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Seventy three I've done thirty five. Wow, I haven't missed
one in thirty five years. So we're on. So tell
us what's going on with the Crusade today.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
Yeah, So, like you said, end of year giving is
huge right now, it's so easy to donate to the Crusade.
You can just go to our website Whascrusade dot org.
You can always mail a check. We have the option
to venmo as at Crusade for children, cash app, PayPal.
Speaker 8 (11:21):
Apple pay, Google pay.
Speaker 6 (11:22):
We take it all.
Speaker 8 (11:23):
We make it easy.
Speaker 7 (11:25):
And then of course in the year a lot of
people are now giving through their donor advised funds. So
if you have a donor advised fund, there are.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
So many My wife's company, uh fifty.
Speaker 8 (11:38):
Match nice and so many companies.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Do so yeah, well they don't even know it. Like
she didn't know it until like three years ago. She
was like what and her boss was like, you know,
we matched that, And I'm like, oh my gosh. So
that was a huge game changer. So we gave a thousand.
Her company gave five hundred. Right, So that's you got
to look into your office.
Speaker 8 (11:54):
I have to ask you your HR.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, that would predict Here's what I'll predict. Look, I
love doing the Crusade every year.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
This crash, it.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
At the airport in Oklahona and PRP and all those
folks that were first on scene is an incredible story.
I think we're going to be telling those stories on
Crusade yes, coming up this summer. Yes, and they're all
going to be super compelling. And I think I think
they're going to work on getting records, record numbers, right,
I hope they are.
Speaker 7 (12:26):
There's some healthy competitions already brewing last year if you
remember it, ye Fern Creak and pr oh yeah, now
Anchorage Middletown.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
In the mix.
Speaker 7 (12:37):
And of course we have I mean these fire departments
in southern Indiana that live in communities or working communities
of five thousand people. They pull incredible donations for the Crease. Yes,
such generous people on both sides of the river.
Speaker 6 (12:50):
And healthy competition is only good for the Cruisade, right exactly.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
And you chose the Crusade for the calendar again, so
oxmore from twelve to four Sunday this sun Day and
then other than that, go to the Crusade dot org
Crusade for Children dot org and just click and they'll
get this so we can hang it up in the
bathroom or wherever we're hanging in right, okay.
Speaker 6 (13:10):
And I will say it's a functional calendar because you've
got fire safety tips. I asked the firefighters to give
you safety tips. And there's reminders that at the first
of every month to checkers, not detectors, and all those
kind of fire related safety tips, all.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Right, and we are.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
I told you last year I needed you, and we're
gonna do the Tony and Dwight promotional bits.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
You're doing it.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
I've got the spot, I got the idea and it's
going to rock and you're gonna get credit.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Put it right there. It's gonna be It'll be retweeted
a million times. I guarantee the day. Where are we doing?
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I got it, I got the spot. You're going to
love it. Thank you so much. I'll see you whenever.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Just call me.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
We'll go do whatever you need to do for the
Crusade for sure. And Kyle, you are so hot and awesome.
I love it.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
And get to the zoo. You all are open, we
have season passes. We have become the old couple that
walks at the zoo.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
You'll have to.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I'm not proud of it, but it's a way to
get two miles in and see animals. The problem is
I try to get Jackie. Okay, you've seen it. The
lima stop. Come on, let's go. Gotta get our heart
rate up.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
I get those steps in the hills. Do that for
us for sure.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Thank you, Kyle, Thank you guys for coming by all right,
it's gonna be a short break.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
We'll come back.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
We are still crazy busy. I see Genie from the
Paris Town here. We're gonna talk to her about what's
going on down in Paristown in the next couple of weeks,
including the shopping you can do this weekend. I guarantee
down there now. Of course, they've got food and booze
and everything else. And I think she brought Jeff's donuts,
so I am in Thank you ladies again. All right,
(14:44):
we're gonna take a short break. I'm trying to look
at my trade.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
No towers.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Let's talk about trade no towers. It's not too far
from here. It is uptown in Louisville. If you want
to stay for winter, you can do that. Okay, they
have a winter stay to try it out. Isn't that
kind of awesome. It is a facility if you're sixty
five or older. It's got a wood shop and four
(15:08):
restaurants with chefs. It's got a movie theater. It's got
one two three bedroom condos with amazing views of Louisville.
It is one rate. It's not piecemeal. So once you
move in and you've paid the rate, that is it.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
That is it.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
There's no they're not charging you for extra and for
a goofball like me. Laundry is included. You put the
laundry in the basket, they know who you are. You
throw it down the laundry chuot, and it's back to
you the next day. You got to love that. That's
included at Trade No Cowards. If you're sixty five or older,
let's get it done called five eight nine thirty two
eleven five eight nine thirty two eleven Trade No Cowards
(15:45):
Back after this Sun News Radio eight forty Whas News
Radio eight forty whas. Tony Venetti Dwight Whitten is in
Cabo Den seeing his little feet off and drinking a
gave tequila and having fun. I'm wearing a turtleneck and
(16:07):
a scarf sitting here on East Main Street and quills.
We're here with USA Cares. What a lineup evad So
far it's been crazy, but it's awesome. USA Cares kind
of get you, get you going, man, But especially this
time of year, if you're thinking about helping the ones
that helped us in the service and the ancillary, the
(16:29):
folks that are around people that are in the service,
their families then do that make that choice? Venmo Usa
cares one. I am gonna have Maddie come back on
before the show is over and talk about one or
two or more of those stories, because she really got
me going earlier talking about the folks they just got
(16:49):
into an apartment before the holidays, a family in there
and another family that had a baby premature, and all
the timelines were wrong, and they helped them to get
into a place, or they were at a place but
had to pay for their the heating bill because they
wanted cheat for the place for the newborn.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
So it's it's stories.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Like that, uh that that will really get you going
him of course, Uh, Paris Town is also going on.
She just showed up with some Jeff Donuts. Jeanie is
the lady. We're gonna talk to her about what's going on. Plus,
I'm trying to put together a broom ball hockey game
down at the rink, and we have challenged the Mayor's
(17:28):
office to play iHeart, So you know, Dwight and I
and and Terry Miners Austin, you're gonna have to play.
Speaker 9 (17:37):
Does this involve skating, you said on the rink.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
No, we've decided that we're gonna do tennis shoes. You
just wear shoes cool, you know, right, Dwight obviously played hockey.
Uh so he's the expert. But this is not hockey.
I mean, it's a broom.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
It's a soccer ball. Uh and it's gonna be fun.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
So we're gonna try to get that game put together
as much as possible.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
And of course that John Ramsey was here with Mayor's office.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
They're gonna have light Up Louisville coming up here tomorrow
three to nine, close to where we are right now.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
We're on East Main Street.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
I'm always surprised every time I come down here of
the new places they have. Knew lou obviously has been
a thing for about a decade, but they keep improving.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
You know.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
The soccer stadium helped out with that. And then the
news that the Bats, Louisville Bats and the soccer Stadium
we're gonna work together. Condos are going up and businesses
are going up.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
This is a great place.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Look, there was only bars down here when I was
your age, Austin, you know, Butcher count Pub and a
couple of other places that you just you ended up
down here at two in the morning. You didn't want
to go down here on a Saturday night, but you
ended up down here, partying, all all having fun.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
But now people live here, people live here and the fun.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
So we also like Kevin bratcher On from the Metro Council,
Angela and Maddie. We had mask Castor of course from
USA Cares, Kyle Shepherd from the Zoo talking about the
Fireman's calendar.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
So it's been busy, it's been fun.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
We're gonna take a short break now and come back
and we'll have Genie and we'll talk to USA Care.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
So stick around Quills on East Main Street.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
I have Tony ven Nettie and you're listening to theres
Radio eight forty w h Billy Joel he wrote this song.
I saw an interview back then he sat. He said
that he was sitting at a bar and some older
person had looked at him and he said, nothing happened
(19:34):
when you were growing up, man, shut up. Everything happened.
I was the depression and I was at Dad and
he was like nothing. So he got pissed. Billy Joel
got pissed, went home, sat down and started writing this
song and cranked it out. Yeah, Son, some new band
redid it for like gen X, and I'm like stopping.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
They have Cuban missile crisis and all that. We don't
have stop start the fire. Yep, all right, I'm in
eighty nine. I'm locked in.
Speaker 8 (20:02):
Give us the next song that will guarantee it's eighty nine.
Speaker 9 (20:05):
Yeah, all right, This is number one somewhere and I
don't know if you're right or not, but maybe this
will this will do it.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Oh is this Millie Vanilla?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Poor, poor Milli poor guys.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Uh, they obviously were not singing.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Gotta blame it on the rain. Gotta blame it on
the rain.
Speaker 8 (20:37):
Jeanie, this isn't the song. I was expecting.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
They had two hits.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
This was one of them, and obviously they had other singers,
but they liked these two guys in the way they
looked and they danced, so they put them up front.
It got out that they weren't the singers one of
them and eventually committed Susie. But it was a terrible story,
but people made way too much of it at the time.
Millie Vanilli would always be famous for that. And Jeanie
(21:05):
nineteen eighty nine.
Speaker 9 (21:06):
You're going with nineteen eighty nine, Gene, what do you think?
Speaker 8 (21:08):
Sure he was going to do fine, young Cannibal.

And we didn't come from a military family. Both of
them played sports at an academy yep. But you really
see the impact that you know, military service has on families,
and you know, you learn a whole lot, but you
don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Until you're exposed to generationally.
Speaker 8 (22:12):
And the one that blows me away is the impact
a deployment has on young kids. Yes, yes, it's amazing
how USA Cares is tuned into that and can really
help the mental health of those young children who they
don't understand mom and dad are leaving me.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
John my son is just twenty two and he wants
