Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here we go, Here we go, baby.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
He used to playing country music anyway because he works
for w ams A.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
That's right, get you some of this right here.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
All right, folks, let's talk to my buddy sports Drone
so that Indiana open since nineteen forty seven Saturday night
or the school bus figure eight races we have because
we're the two most respected journalists in Kentucky, Mike, we
have to ask you first. Is the lifetime band for
Dwight Witten Sect?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Oh? Oh, yeah, cause I mean, you know, you give
a brand new It's been over three laughs.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
It's been almost twenty years. Almost twenty years has been
he said, Oh yeah, I gotta tell you my gifts
in sports Trope Speedway. If you've never seen, ah, it's
a thing. Boy, it's a scene. But uh hey, listen, man,
it's been almost twenty years.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Oh I hadn't been that long.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah, I know it, I know it.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah, it's been almost I was gonna say. And by
the way, Tom Lovelace is a dear friend of mine.
Love the guy the bottle one that I totalled along
with my bus.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
But I wait a minute, but Mike told you one
thing before the raid.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
He told it wasn't just me, Mike. Mike Gibson went
back in the pit and he said, tonight, let's all
have fun. Nobody get hurt, but by all means stay
away from us. And had just been painted and had
the o's had eyes that lit up. But here was
my argument, and twenty years ago you wouldn't hear anything

(01:39):
out of it. My argument was, listen, man, if they
don't want their bus hit when it comes to the intersection,
they better yield.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Thinking right there, all right, Mike.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Uh, okay, he just said something.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Mike and I have been friends for a very very
long time, and you do a great job at the track.
Tell us tell us about the track for anybody that
wants to know, and then how and tell us about
what's happening Saturday night.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Well, it's been here for seventy nine years. And again, yeah,
when we went to high school together, this is what
I did on the weekends that we didn't go out
and have fun. So I tried to do a little
bit of fun and work at the same time when
I was there. But you know the big thing about
this bus races, it is for the Kentucky and a
friends of v I mean We're probably about thirty thousand

(02:29):
dollars right now is where we're I think we are.
That's the goal was thirty I think the goal was
thirty thousand. So we have a go fundme page out
there if anybody wants to join in and help. We're
just a little bit shy of our go of on
that page of like two thousand dollars. So I was
trying to raise money for a good calls this year.
The research is going to the Kids Cancer of Norton's

(02:51):
for research. So this is something new we did this
year with the Volvano group and cannot tell you it
couldn't be any happier with Bob Barbano, James Nick, all
of them. It's been a great effort for all of us.
Picked up a lot of good sponsors from it too.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
For the call, Mike Gibson joined the Sports Drom Speedway.
I just did the math. It's been an eighteen year.
Ba Okay, what to talk about? How do you get
what's veno?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
By the way, what's the venmo? What's the venmo? And
then we'll talk about the figure eight.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Well, it's a it's a QR code. So the easiest
thing to do is if you just go to the GoFundMe. Hey,
thank you, right to got you.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Okay, go ahead, a fob, go fund me.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
All right, let's talk about school.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
He's still living, he's still living in the past. You know,
you know, you probably don't even know this, but after
you hit Lovely he retired. That was it.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh my gosh, I did not know that. That adds
to the story. That adds to the Let me tell
you what we were.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
We were both we were both buses were going as
fast as we could go. We hit the intersection and
it was nose to nose that we hit. Nose to
know that that was the whole reason.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, I mean so not only not only did you
wreck the wrong bus. Everybody that does wreck we always
tell them hit the front of your city.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Both buses totaled. My engine caught on fire. But I
will tell you there was people out there with a
fire extinguishers. Win of the seconds.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
He wouldn't come in for a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
All right.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
So here's what I take from that. It is you're
sitting in the stands. It's a great family atmosphere, and
these buses and summer faster than others, and they roll
on through. But you see in Mike to tell me that.
You see the buses and you're like, there's no way
these two aren't going to hit because you see them
both coming around their their turn and they're coming heading
straight for the center and most of the time it'll

(04:42):
be just barely missing. Uh in the last second. It's
pretty exciting.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Well it is because you got to realize these things
are eight tons, so they're they're not easy to stop either.
So if you are going and you think somebody else
is stopping and then all of a sudden they decide
they're not going to stop, that's that's really when you're
gonna hit somebody. But you know it. You know again,
you you have different people of twelve buses. I've got

(05:07):
three people that really don't have much driver experience that
are gonna do it, and then you have people that
have been out there and I use a lot of
my race car drivers to do this as well. And
then you have people that want to win, and then
the other people that don't care if they wreck. So
that's the thing. You never know who you're gonna get.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
You might get it in the first three lass I listen, man,
I was just driving it like I stole it.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
You stole it, are right.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I thought Mike was going to kill you.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I thought I was gonna kill both of you.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Listen, man, I've got I've got families. As a matter
of fact, I think my cousin rush Yoda still races
or does something.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Over there, and I think, well, yeah, they built Yeah, Russ,
Russ was building motors for a long time. I think
he still does. I haven't seen him in a long time,
but he I think he was still building.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Well, maybe even show up if you invited me back
to drive a school bus.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Mike's really quiet right now.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Maybe maybe, maybe, maybe we can do that in the
near future. I know, I know we're talking. I know
we're talking about doing more of this with Kfov, maybe
making this an annual event, and maybe my heart will
soften a little bit product you back out there.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
But no, but no, kidding so much sports trope, speedway,
school bus figure eights. This is one hell of a time. Yeah, uh,
this is probably it's such a big deal and so
much fun to watch, Mike, it probably has to be
one of y'all's biggest draws, right.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
It is. School bus races have been you know, for us.
Actually a little Momotor Speedway did them in the first
year they closed, and then I've been doing them ever since,
so we've we've done about fifty of them or so.
So you know, we're we're we're really moved along with them,
I mean with what we've done, the people, what we're

(06:59):
using and everything like that. So you know, it's so exciting.
You know, the fans could be a part of it. Plus,
you know, we still do school bus rides for the kids,
so that makes them be a part of it. We
have a pit party this weekend. We also have five
thousand popsicles, thanks God because it's gonna be one hundred
degree so that we're given away from graphic packeting. So

(07:20):
you know, I mean we you know, again, the relationships
you built, I mean, I don't know. I'm sure you
guys have heard. Jeff brought our honorary starter, So I
got I got Jeff to come over and he's ever
been here, so he's actually bringing ten people as family.
So we're excited to have Jeff come over. I know
a couple of our classmates are coming to and it

(07:41):
should be a good time. And you know, again for us,
it's it's a part of the community. I mean, my
father did this for fifty six years. You know, I
don't know how many other families like us. This would
be seventy nine. Seed this year has entertained the Kentucky
and area any longer than the Gibsons right now.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
But it's not just school bus figure as the earlier
race is in the night that they involved regular cars
figure eate racing as well, right more.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah, yeah, we have a big fifty LA board figure
eight race. Whoa, we have a future star race with
your kids eleven to fifteen are driving full full LTDs
like cop cars.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
All that is all that is awesome. Uh, Mike Gibson
Sports Drome this Saturday again. The speedway has been there
since forty seven this Saturday night. And I love the
setup because it's a big field. You just park it
and it's a great night. H We'll see you Saturday night.
Except for Dwight Mike Gibson. We talked to you, buddy,
Love you buddy, Mike Boy.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
He didn't bend on that.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
He did not I thought he was going, didn't even blink.
Is the band still in fact?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Oh yeah, it's been eighteen years. He still remembers, Oh,
he will never forget No, No, he was pissed when
I said that his face was as red as that.
iHeart right behind Tony. Yeah, he's got it's one of
the most uncomfortable. It probably took me to get back
to the pit area in that bus seven minutes.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Well, he's got big can haam hands. I thought he
was going to wrap it around white neck, right too.
That's great, it's fun.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Well, the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic has been pushed
back yet again. Name of the movies Michael.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Did, wasn't there one before? That caused a lot of
stir This is the same one. Okay, this is the
same one. It was slated to come out in Octa.
The new release date is now April twenty four to
twenty twenty six. This is the same one that you're
talking about that had to go under reshoots and all
this other stuff because it was finished in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Uh, this is the one where they cover the little
boy stuff. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's what the
deal is.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
In twenty twenty four of the film underwent shoots that
came in a lengthy, lengthy So it cost her to
to be pushed back in for Discussions were held about
making a two part movie, but that plan seems to
have been abandoned. It's gonna feature Michael Jackson's nephew, Jafar Jackson,
starring a oh oh oh.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
That's kind of crazy. I did not know that setup.
So there they actually have. So they have like documentary
and then they have scenes where he's acting like Michael.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Fun if they just had Janet play that part of Michael,
it's kind of the same person, right, No, but he's.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I mean it's Michael Jackson. It's one of them. Show earlier.
Because everything comes in threes. Remember when he died. Pharaoh
Fawcett died the same day, and it was like poor
Pharah Fawcet. Yeah, because she died, but b because she
died on the day of Michael Jackson, no one talked
about her.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
I still have her picture on my basement.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
It's a poster. Well, and yes, you're.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Right, but here's what I did do. It was a
poster that was up with thumb tacks in the seventies. Yeah,
but then when we got our house, I framed it,
so now it's no longer a poster.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Of course, you did.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
It's a piece of art.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Of course you did well.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
The good old days of taking a doctor's note to
be excused from school in Tennessee. What I don't understand this?
Lawrence County School System says those days are in the past.
In a move to boost the attendance rate, the school
district has announced that the doctor's note will no longer
be accepted as an excuse for absence. Parents have spoken out,

(11:18):
I guess why.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
If the kid's sick, you don't want the sick kid
at the school getting other people's sick or our kids
taking advantage of this and saying I need a mental
health day? Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (11:28):
I'm sure there's some of that in there, but I mean,
think about how we used to forge or some kids
parents name you know and say hey blah blah blah
and then put that Darlene Witten, Yeah, I remember that.
Really hard to copy from what I was told.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
From the movie Catch Me if you can lead. Leo goes,
he looks at the girl and goes, fold it, and
she goes what she goes, your mom always folds it beway,
So she folds it. And it was like, oh, that's
so smart. Why did they Why is a doctor's note
not good enough for an absence?

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Because they want to boost attendance at schools. This is
calling us a lot of parents to get pissed off
and even considering holding to the school's policy, the school
will begin an intervention if a student misses three days.
If you miss eight or more days, the school will
result in giving a referral to the juvenile court.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
This is a problem and a lot of it has
that's surbated lately lately because of the COVID kids. The
COVID kids had a hard time going back to school,
and I feel for them. There was some mental issues.
Jefferson County Public Schools is one of the worst or
the worst school district in the country. It's on the
list for sure. They sent chronic absentee percentage of kids.

(12:47):
That's forty thousand students are chronically absent from school. I
mean you keep asking about grades, Well, you got to
get them to school first. I mean that's a very
high percentage. And at what point you get to crime.
I think, I don't know how many days you have
to miss before you get to chronic, but it is.
It's bad. So this is Nashville maybe they're just trying
to stop the floodgates here of kids not going to school.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I don't know that's evident what they're doing. But still
I don't understand what you mean. It's not excused. If
a doctor says, hey, you know he's got I guess
maybe by not being excused, is sure you get the
sick day. But maybe just maybe the doctors know kept
you in perfect attendance. I mean I was never a
perfect attendance.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Kid, perfect than anything, except in trouble.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
I was pretty perfect at that though, Yes you were
all right.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Klein Brothers locks, locksmith and commercial doors. They've been around
since nineteen fourteen. How many companies in Louisville make commercial
doors custom? Yeah, clin Locks. So go to clinlock dot
com twenty four hour service, free estimates. I've been to
where they make it. They have a place on Broadway
and then they have where they make them, and I've
toured both places. The main building has where you have

(13:58):
the keyless access, the cam. They have a closed circuit
camera so you can protect your your own place, and
how you can monitor it inside your business. If you
haven't upgraded that in a while, you probably should and
If you need a commercial door is Klinlocks. Go to
clinlocks dot com.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Baronos Pizza it's Louisville Sto Pizza and it's pizza I
will be eating tonight or will it be the baked
spaghetti Danio's way. What's Daniel's way is where they put
that red pepper cheeseening from Daniel's on any any menu
item you have? Did you know that Baronos their fifth
consecutive year for the Best of the Community award when

(14:34):
it comes to pizza. That's how good they are. But
more than just our favorites that we've had for well
over four decades at Baranos, they keep expanding the men.
You try the apple smoked chicken wings. Oh man, are
they good? Dine in, carry out or delivery Baronos Pizza, Yeah,
it's that good.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Back after this on news RADIOA forty WANs.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
I got a questioned, foe you.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yes, Paul Stanley?

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Who what's the meanest sacred hot go?

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Thank you? I do I do bad?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Stanley Madison Row? How are you?

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Madison? How you doing?

Speaker 2 (15:14):
How are you goie?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Listen?

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Uh hey, lacrosse is what we're talking about, not fiel Hawk.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Can you please quit booking over achievers. I've got lowest
self esteem and listen to this.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Can't promise anything.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
So you start varsity lacrosse as the goalie, and you
do this on your freshman year. On top of that,
you simultaneous you simultaneously whatever that word, simultaneously.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Good boy, you can go see she's made you nervous.
She's so much more accomplished than you. And you're fifty
nine years old.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Fifty seven so president of Donate for Life program, on
and on and on, and when I'm looking at it,
look Goalie of the Year twenty twenty five, First Team
Allstar Our twenty twenty five, First Team All Star Academic
twenty twenty five, twenty twenty four, All Star Region Team
twenty twenty. It goes on and on, and it would
take the entire interview if I read all your accolades.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
I say, yes, man, it's some good job. Obviously you
love it. Yes, yes, how long you've been playing lacrosse?

Speaker 5 (16:18):
Sixth grade?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Sixth grade, so not that long? Not long in terms
of girls' sports. Now people start in second third grade
to play these sports. Do you also play field hockey?
I did, yes, But now you're specializing in.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Your freshman year. You're a true freshman. You come in
and they say, hey, we're going to start this freshman
on the varsity team. I gotta think that's gonna make.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Some Well, we'll sidestep those stories here. I'm sure it was.
Sure it was uncomfortable, and it's a very competitive environment
with the Catholics. We have our storts as a family,
so we're.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Just one bit. Can I just tell you, Can I
share with you that Charlie Manson had a family? All right?

Speaker 2 (17:00):
But when you play for Sacred Hard, a lot of
times you're winning by a lot, yes, so sometimes you're
you could be bored. Oh yes, when it's uh, I've
been to some of these games. I'm like, I'm pretty
sure the team hasn't even gotten on this side of
the field all game. Uh so what are you thinking?

(17:20):
I'm sure you try to not lean on your stick.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
No more just walking around looking at the crown.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Sometimes hold me down on the ends, just give you some.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Water, something angry.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Do you ever take your stick and just hit the
side of the post just to say I'm still here?
I do, but just the same, still here. Well, you're
ador you are adorable here so you are Sacred Arts. Yeah,
I'm gonna be a junior rising junior year. And how
does the team look for next year?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
We're looking pretty good, I think.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Okay, I think we should be the number one favorite.
But okay, well with the best goalie, but the best
goalie in the state. And are you looking to play
this in college right now? Okay? Awesome, So parlay this
into scholarship. So D two and a blow you start
talking to me now, but D one the date of
September first, So that's one.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Everybody, is there a college that you would like to
go to?

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Kind of looking all overwhere, leaning towards Pennsylvania almost mom's from.
Oh oh wow, well that's like IVY League. It's IVY
League in Pennsylvania. Oh okay, I'm sorry. Well you know what,
you go, girl, don't set the bar. It set the
bar very very high, and you go. But we'll very

(18:38):
proud of you. Go Valkyries. We'll be looking for you
next year to come in and do this interview again.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Okay, So win the state championship and.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
But because it's you, I'm going to do this and
because of the team, if you want me to come
out and speak to the team about getting over adversity
of tearing an achilles.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
To all right, that's it. Thank you of the classes,
twenty seven Goalie of the Year and Sacred Hard. Good
luck next year, and let's get a scholarship to help me.
That would be nice. Vicky Rodgers is gonna stick around
because we're gonna play reeling in the years next and
that is where we play songs that charted today and

Speaker 1 (22:14):

Speaker 2 (22:14):
You're looking grunge bands at Phoenix Hill? We weren't playing.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Can I say one thing? Vicky Rodgers has not aged
a minute.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
It's ridiculous, It's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
She might be a vampire.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
That's one of heart. That's why women hate Vicky because
she's never aged. They're like, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (22:32):
These guys are to how do we know if she's
not a vampire?

Speaker 2 (22:35):
It's your pure hearts wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Steak through her heart and she doesn't catch on fire.
She's not a vampire.

Speaker 5 (22:41):
I'm in.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
It is.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Let's go through the game for.

This place is beautiful at huge, has four ballrooms, four restaurants,
as a movie theater. They do everything for you in
your retirement paperwork. My wife does all the medical paperwork.
If you don't have one, then they'll take care of it.

Speaker 3 (26:15):

Speaker 2 (26:15):
It used to be a hospital. They turned it into
a resort. It is a fantastic place. You know what
they say. They say, if you take a tour, you'll
move in. Call five eight nine thirty two eleven five
eight nine thirty two eleven. If it's you or you
have a parent that you can't figure out what you
want to do, Howers, it's uptown Louisville. Back after this
on news RADIOA forty whas the first time I saw

(26:38):
Hulk Hogan, his name was Thunderlips and he was in
I went with Kenny Kern, my buddy in seventh or
eighth grade. We walked, we walked to Oxmoor shopping Center
and went and saw the movie and we were like,
who is this wrestling dude? We just thought he was
an actor. Then next thing you know, he's on the
wrestling program. He would become the Tiger Woods of wrestling.

(27:04):
I mean money went through the roof. And when you're
that guy Austin Montgomery from WAMZ and the podcast Babyface, that's.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
Right, you were born yet No, not during the not
during the Rocky movies.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
No no, so he came later for you.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
What year were you born?

Speaker 5 (27:22):
I was born in nineteen ninety three. Oh wow, okayyeh,
the little nineties baby.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
All right, so you were a little older and you
knew him as post post all that.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
Oh, yes, yes, I knew him when he was in
the w CW. Remember there was a WWE and then
the w CW, the Monday Night Roars Nitro. He was
a leader of the New World Order, the nWo. So
that's as much as I known about him, and he
eventually ended up making a return to the WWE, probably
won a few years after he had a short run

(27:51):
as the leader of the nWo when the Third Man
and the Heel Hokogan the first time he's ever went heel,
and that was such a big moment in wrestling history.
So I remember watching that, and eventually when he got
back on wwf WW programming, that's when they started showing
all he always showed his highlights and you always knew
who he was.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, So I saw that. I saw the Netflix has
a great documentary on Vince McMahon. Yes, not very flattering
for McMahon, No, it's not. And I'm not a wrestling
fan at all, but I loved it and enjoyed it.
But evidently McMahon somehow gets him Hulk Hogan. They built
this empire and then Hulk holand turns his back on
Van's or Vince screws him over, I can't remember.

Speaker 5 (28:29):
Yeah, Vince ended up he ended up leaving to go
because Vince wanted him there to be his to be
his superhero. Hulk Hogan wanted to go make movies and
he said that he will never betray Vince. And that
was the time when they were starting w CW, and
is when he went with Ted Turner and took the
w c W money and completely turned his back. And
then Vince McMahon went to court over the steroids stuff

(28:51):
back in those days, and Hulk Hogan took the stand
and testified against him. He had the neck brace on
and everything where they tried to make him look sympathetic
in that. So it was like, yeah, it.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Was that Tizzlers. They didn't they all die in their fifties.
He's Hulks lucky he made it to seventy.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Did you see the stories that came out were evidently
he just got baptized.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
No, I didn't see that.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Yeah, I saw on Fox News several sides yesterday.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
But he Yes, he's the Tiger Woods of rests. A
lot of he he screwed over a lot of other
wrestlers by backstabbing them and doing all that. Well, remember
Arnold Schwartzenegger, He's he did the same. If you watch
his biopic, he's like, look, I used to sabotage the
other he was he played there.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
There was one story where it was hit down to
him and another guy on mister Olympia. Okay, and so
they're out there doing their final poses and when they
get to the polls for their backs, Arnold looks over
at the other guy on the stage and he goes,
I think we've given them enough. This is enough. Let's
just go. And so the guy walks off the stage

(30:02):
and then orl turns around like shrugs or shoulder were like,
where'd the guy go?

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Yeah? That that's like. That's like when you're standing there,
somebody goes step forward if you would, and you start
to do to step forward and you stay where you are.

Speaker 5 (30:14):
Sorry, buddy, well Tony, you'll like this.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Hul Cogan was actually in uh. He was teaming up
with every old CEO of w c W. They were
going to start a amateur wrestling like federation. It was
going to be basically like what the UFC and w
w E is, but for literal amateur college wrestlers and
professional amateur wrestlers.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
So a lot of people don't know this, but.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
He also had issues with issues with drugs. There's the
tape of Bubble Love Sponge and his wife. Oh, here's
a tape of him saying stuff like the N word,
uh where it was over and over again. So he
does have sort of a there's a there's a nastiness
to Hulk, but for but for the like I watched
CBS Sunday morn or CBS this morning. The panel was

(30:59):
like little kids talking about him. They're like, and I remember,
and I used to do this. I used to jump
on my brother, you know, we do the move and
all this, and the other two were sitting there going yeah, okay.
So he does have that effect on people. The whole
comania and what were the fans called the Hulk maniacs,
the whole cam maniac brothers.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
Take your vitamin and say your prayers, I guess you
could say.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
And he was huge. He was six eight six y nine,
three hundred four hundred pounds. I mean he was legit huge.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
I just looked up the cause of death heart check right, yeah,
no foul play.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Big guys. Big guys have a trouble living along the side.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
That was the thing.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Do you have any sound from him?

Speaker 5 (31:39):
I have, I have, I have a promo from him,
But also want to play one of my favorite moments
from him. This is when his first match in w
w EE back he was facing the Rock and this
is Dwayne the Rock Johnson when he's literally about to
take off during start him. So this is what they
called Hogan pick right here and made him look good.
He's facing the Rock and he's about to kick out
of the Rocks signature move the rock bottom. Hogan kicked out.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
How do you?

Speaker 5 (32:09):
How do you kick out of the rock Bottom? He's
hulking up now. Rock tries to hit him, doesn't work.
He tries He's gonna try to hit him right here.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
He does.

Speaker 5 (32:21):
He just pointed at him. He's wagging the finger. Now
now he's now he's powering back with punches against the cock.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Now. Is the biggest movie star in the world besides
Tom Cruise. It's the highest paid besides Tom Cruise. The
thing is, it is like a soap opera, and people
know that it's not real, but they but they love it.

(32:54):
But they love it. No, it's real when you throw
somebody at a rim out of a gym and they
and they and they laying on a table at hers
and that's real. But they all know the outcome is
is already determined. So uh, but people just love it.
It's in their blood. What else do you got? Give
me one more?

Speaker 1 (33:10):
I was just good the scores.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
This is when Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage joined forces.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Oh, this was a big moment in sports history.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Didn't everybody do that impression?

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Which? Listen?

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Which which over.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
Which? Which? I'm gonna love him?
