I laughed heartily.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh help, it's respectful to say I love you.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
The full show podcast starts right now.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
That's Mom one A four to three, My fam, It's
Valentine in the Morning. New York val is alive. We're
in New York City right now. What's going on?
Speaker 4 (00:23):
I thought we weren't saying we're in New York.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
We're saying it. Brian's like, he's like John Peek goes
do tell people?
Speaker 5 (00:28):
Do truth?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Hide it from them? What's up?
Speaker 4 (00:31):
New York Valentine is my favorite version of Valentine? Like,
besides the original, we've got m Valentine number one.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, besides the original my favorite.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
So better or worse than Vegas val Better than Vegas Val?
Speaker 6 (00:45):
John, I wish you guys could see New York Valentine.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
I don't know what she's talking about when you say
we're in New York. We just got to clarify. Brian
and I are just living through jail right now.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, you guys are stuck in beautiful downtown Burbank. Jill
and I are three hours ahead of you in New York.
So it's like ate something for us.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Ha ha, how's the future.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Oh it's great, dude. Here's a lot of numbers. So anyway,
we're in town. We're not going to discuss this yet,
but in town for the Marconi Awards, which is a
big radio award that we're up for, and so we're
in town for that, and we're at the iHeart Building
in New York City and it's gorgeous. All the money
from the company went here.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
It's so true.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
It's so beautiful, Ryan, you love this place.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
I mean, this studio is beautiful and burbang too.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
I mean it's so oh no, it's a dump compared
to this.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Okay, that's what you think. I just spent like thirty
minutes yesterday doing a nice clean sessh on our studio.
Just wait till you get back.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Thanks John. That's really cool of you. That's awesome. It's
gonna be awesome. Boy, New York Jill is different too. Yeah,
three minutes in it's a.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Dump shared to this.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
This is crazy, like beautiful white.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Cat like yeah, the cabin try and stuff, it's called
the Caventry.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Beautiful.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
It's so nice here.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
So there's so much to tell you, guys. We're in
New York for this award show. But and Jill and
I flew out and our flight was delayed. We landed.
I don't even win. It was like three forty morning,
you know, not a soul in sight. Can I still
do that? Probably not? And anyway, that was three thirty
in the song, but I'm not sure I can do that.
But so we landed JFK. We're flying back out of Newark.
(02:13):
It's just a quick turnaround trip and everything. We landed
so late that there was nobody at JFK. That was great,
very clean and clear and blah blah blah. And we
hop in a car. We get an uber and all
the hotels in New York are booked. I don't think
everybody's here for a radio awards show. So I don't
know if it was because of the hurricane. Laura had
said the other day, maybe Hurricane Milton. God love those
(02:34):
folks getting hit hard by that. Maybe a lot of
folks that evacuate. It's in New York City or something
like that, because her, I mean, the rooms are all
taken up. So we got an Airbnb, which is overkill.
It's seven bedrooms, four stories. What. It's beautiful, and they
gave us a deal because there's nobody using it right,
and it's also in a part of town where, like
(02:55):
we don't know, I don't know if this is a
good part of town. I'm not from New York.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
Yeah, I have no idea, but we're okay so far.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah. We locked the doors and checked every room. So
I gotta go to break here in Talia see traffic,
But I have to tell you what we did, what
type of building search we did at four in the
morning or so when we checked in to this airbnb
or in the morning. Yeah, because our flight landed like
three forty or something, so it was like four something
(03:21):
by the time we got.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
To this Airbno in the morning.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
What's street one hundred and twenty first or something?
Speaker 6 (03:26):
Don't give that out?
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Oh kay, I was gonna confine us right the Taya
Friss Santa Ice to get that morning traffic? What's going
on in Taya?
Speaker 7 (03:32):
Good morning.
Speaker 8 (03:33):
We're looking at your drive right now in Industry sixty US.
We have a stalled big rig blocking your two right lane.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
Okay you.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Tonight, my fam It's Valentine in the morning. Jill and
I are in New York City for an award show
for radio people, and uh, Brian and Laura and John
all back there in Los Angeles when Stefani, by the way,
coming on the show today. Brian, Oh, yes, so you'll
get to smell her and sniff her from there.
Speaker 9 (03:58):
No.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I mean yeah, but you know no, aren't.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
You a little Bidenish? Don't you stiff?
Speaker 7 (04:02):
Here?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
I thought that was you? Am I mistaken?
Speaker 3 (04:07):
I confess that to you in a moment of prove vulnerability.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Okay, I'm sorry. So you guys there of course, us
here in New York we got to this airbnb that
we found and we went offline. We asked him like, hey,
can you give us a deal because we're only here
for like, you know, thirty six hours or something.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
And we gave them the budget we had and we thought, oh,
there's no way.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
And they accepted it.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
They accepted it, which was amazing.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
So they accepted the company's budget, which was zero. Basically
the company was paying for nothing because they've spent all
their money on the equipment in New York City as
far as we can tell, so the company didn't spend anything.
We're in New York and everything, and we find this airbnb.
We get to it and we're gonna do a whole
building search and stuff. We asked the guy, the Uber driver, Hey,
you know we're from La what about this part of town?
(04:52):
He goes, get inside, do.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
Not linger outside, do not linger.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
It's not a good part of town.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Hurry up and go in. Don't wait.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
It was a panic, John like, hurry up, get inside now, wow,
And I'm like fumbling with the electronic lock and everything.
He's driving away. Jill starts sobbing. It was so hard.
We get inside, right, and there's like two doors and
we're locking the door and dead bolt and everything and stuff.
We're a bit of a panic. The whole place is dark,
and it's right out of some movie. I mean, there's
literally like four floors this place, spiral staircase type things,
(05:22):
and there's rooms everywhere. There seven different bedrooms is all
this stuff downstairs. It is absolutely insane this place, right,
So finally we get inside. We're not panicking. We're checking
every nook and cranny and we're trying to think are
we about to be trafficked? It's something gonna happen with us, right,
like pops out kills us or tomorrow I'm in some
(05:43):
country going I love you, daddy. Who knows, right, Well,
they'd probably traffic you first. They'd probably traffick you, probably
not me.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
That's nice of you to say that there's a market
for everybody.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
We're opening, John, We opened up everything, and then we
go down to the basement. Check on the basement. Then
we go up to the top floor and this room's
on every floor so and they all have like bathrooms
and stuff. It's a beautiful, beautiful.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
Home, stunning floor stars.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
So Jill's like, where do I sleep? I go, take
your pick, and she gave me the nice shower. That
was very nice of her. But they're all nice showers, right.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
I believe the quote was this is mine's sucker.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
That's what was said. When I don't know if it's
a shower.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Well, it's on my credit card until the company pays
it back. So this is mine sucker. So I take that,
and then I'm like, Jill, this is beautiful room down here.
But that was like a room on floor two or something.
I was on a room or floor three.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
I wanted to be on Valentine's.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
She wanted to be on Valentine's floor you know.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Okay, just by itself, I wanted to be on Valentine's flooring,
that's just yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
I thought about maybe doing the fourth floor, the top floor,
because it had it had a really nice bathroom as well.
But what scared me was the ladder going up to
the process.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
I felt like the burglars were going to come in
through that.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Latch through four stories up to Africa. R.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
So then I went down to the third floor to
be with Valentine.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
All right, So she's on the third floor, but in
the meantime, she has me climb up this thirty foot
ladder to the ceiling to the roof of this you know,
brownstone or whatever they call these things, and I have
to go up to the top and check that latch.
These ladders haven't been climbed since they built a place, right,
and they're not for boys coming in at two hundred
(07:24):
and forty pounds or anything. So I'm up there. The
ladder starts to shake a little bit. I'm checking the
latch and everything. I'm like, I think it's safe. Jails.
She goes, dun't fall. I'm like, okay, I won't.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
It was so nice just to make sure that that
latch was closed and no one could open it from
the outside.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
But but so her room was like right across from mine.
I got in trouble saying one thing which she totally misinterpreted.
I said, let's do a little rom com in the morning.
You're yeah, yeah, no, she totally misinterpreted this.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Oh did she?
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (07:52):
She did.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
John. I said let's do a little rom com. You
can go out because it was a bad area. We're
thinking at this point, right, I go you in the morning,
go out and grab a cup of coffee and bagel
for me and bring it back. I forgot my rob
comm at home. I'm like, I didn't mean that, lady.
I meant a bagel in coffee, And it was a
joke because we're in a bad area of town.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
I don't know how that means let's do a roum com.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
But I think he threw that out there to see
how you would react. I was king. I was just kidding.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Once I said I want to Valentine's floor, he was like.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Hold on, misinterpreted this work trip. But then this is
the funny part too, is I'm going to bed. I've
got the TV coverage on for Hurricane Milton I've been
following that a lot because we got some friends there
and stuff, and Brian is family in Florida. So I've
been following that coverage and praying for those folks. And
I've got the TV turned on and like I'm getting
ready for bed, and I go to my door. I'm like,
all right, so Jill's right across the hall. We just
(08:43):
in case, like a burglar does come in, though, I mean,
I'll probably hear her scream and as she goes, save her.
But let me lock my door. Anyway.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
I locked my door, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Like one
of us goes down.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
We don't need both of us going down. So I'm like,
I was gonna go out and like savor maybe you know.
And then she texts me, Hey, I left the water
outside your door. Okay, com back it down, my friend.
I'm in here watching hurricane coverage. I don't need you
coming in like all.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Hot Valentine in the morning.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Three FM, Nisa, Now.
Speaker 8 (09:25):
We've got a cigarette for you in Monrovia right now
to TENA west at Mountain Avenue. Stalled big rig partially
blocking that Mountain off ramp, but they are waiting for
a tow truck and now the backup goes all the
way from Azusa Avenue. Traffic is really starting to stack
up on that five North as well as you leave
Santa Fe Springs and go into commerce. Right now, you
got delays between the six oh five and Slawson. The
support is sponsored by Macy's. Ship Seasons in Style at Macy's,
(09:48):
a fab Fall sale where you'll save on all the
things that you can't wait to wear, like coats for
your crew and your favorite brands at Macy's Great shoe
Sale and essentials for hosting at home today at Macy's.
I'm gonna tell you, President, that's your traffic a Valtaentine.
Speaker 7 (10:00):
In the morning.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
All right it, Talia, thank you very much, appreciate that.
So we've got Gwen Stefani in the show today, Gwen is.
We're gonna be in New York interviewing Gwen from here.
Her new song is somebody Else's. The new album is
called Bouquet, and it's an album that is very much
as far as I can tell, because they sent me
some tracks that nobody's heard yet. Do you get those?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Bright No, you were the only one on the show
that got them.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Got it well, Jill listened to him and Mamosa, who
was her uber driver.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Wells he wasn't supposed to hear that.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Yeah, well this is enjoying it. This guy was bopping
along the Gwen Stefani's new tracks. It was so great.
So it's an album that to me and we'll have
to ask about this very much relationship heavy, about how
she's doing great with Blake right now and just the
beauty of that relationship. There's some darker stuff too. This
song Somebody Else Is It wasn't gonna be on the album,
but she wanted to have that darkness to you know,
(10:48):
go with the light and joy of the album, to
show the difference between the two and everything. And I
guarantee you this one's on my right hand side. He's
gonna go nuts during this interview. She's going to be
all about, oh my god. Here speaking directly to myself, there.
Speaker 6 (11:02):
Was one song.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
I won't say what it is because I don't know
if she's even released the track list yet, but there
was one song where I had to hide my tears from.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Was that the one that I wrote down the notes? Yeah,
because that's how you feel that.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Way, because I'd be like, oh, this is me and Jeff.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Right and it's gonna be the whole thing. Guys.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
No, I'm not going to talk about me. It's all
about Gwen. I'm not going to even mention myself. Promise
I have I want to ask her about the voice,
but I don't want a TV show, yeah, because she's
a coach.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
About that.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
I have some wattions, but I want to coach.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Who do you want to win?
Speaker 4 (11:31):
What?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Snoop dog?
Speaker 6 (11:34):
But I'm not going to make it about me, I promise.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
How work with Michael Blair? Noo?
Speaker 6 (11:40):
Well, what questions do you have?
Speaker 2 (11:42):
I've got some questions. I've got some They are actually
more about you and the album too. I've got nothing
for myself. All right, it's one of four to three
mile Fav's Valentine in the Morning. Your chance to hang
with Taylor Swift that is coming up details in the
way my family. It's Valentine in the morning, Brian, I
(12:04):
gotta tell you something. I feel good, man, I feel
good right now. You know what it is. I'm not
running aboard stuck in head. Stop it dire, dark room
of doom. Listen to these stories. Do you hear how
my voice is flowing? This story?
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Feel that this version of you, the New York version
of you, it's fair. Yeah, you are relaxed, you're fun,
You're I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
It's because New York is fast paced and there's no
couch in the room. You know that helps, Oh, Jean
get out. You were such a homer, such a homer.
But it is right in this version of me.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
I feel good right now, you know what I mean?
Can people tell that my voice so they can tell
I'm having fun? Three one oh four to three reach
out three one o four three. By the way, we
do have one thousand dollars coming up are at six
o'clock your chance to win that. We're in New York
for award show Jule and I for the Marconi's, which
is kind of like whatever your company is. If you
guys have some big award for what you do, if
you're the top you know, a physician assistant, and all
(12:58):
of a sudden, California seven, there's an award showing a dinner
you have that. This is us like Top DJ in America.
It's that type of award show for us. So we're
in New York, myself and Jill. The rest of grew
back in La when Stefani's stopping by the studio today.
A bit of a bomber won't be there, but we're
gonna interview her over zoom here and then one thousand
bucks coming up next.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Good days.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
One of four three mile famites balencein in the morning. Hey,
nice win last night, needed because we lost. This place
was going to be a bad, bad scene. Dodgers congratulations.
Series tied up two to two. We'll go from here
and see who wins this entire thing. Better be the
Dodgers are a lot of people, are gonna be a
lot of trouble, you know.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
And finally back to Dodger Stadium tomorrow. Yeah, that's a
big deal too, right, good place till we can be
well behaved.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Yeah. Are we only letting in Dodger fans like the
Fadres did?
Speaker 3 (13:46):
We should?
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Right, we make everybody go, it's time for Dodger baseball.
And if it doesn't sound good, out you go.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
I did it last night, did you myself? And I
made sure like as the game was going on, I
did it.
Speaker 6 (13:59):
And look what it did.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
You did it in our airbamb in the other room.
You just said it's time for Dodger baseball. Ye, let's
hear it again.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
It's time for Dodger baseball.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
That is not Vince calling. That is like some eighty
five year old lady that's had a couple of rose.
Speaker 6 (14:16):
Yeah, you know, hey, they won. You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Okay, thank you, Jill, thank you. Those guys are the
bats had nothing to do with it, Natalia friend stand
by to other morning traffic when Stefani coming on the
show today.
Speaker 8 (14:31):
All right, as you go into Santa Anna on the
five south right at the twenty two, you got a
two car cross.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
One of four to three. My family, Edith Valentine. In
the morning. We've got Gwen Stefani coming on the show today.
She's got a new song called somebody Else's and it's
a really good new album called Baquet, and that's coming out.
You say bouquet or bouquet.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
I say bouquet.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
A bouquet of flowers, A bouquet of flowers. Yeah, she's
got a bouquette.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
We have to talk to her about making good on
the promise of you running shirtless on stage.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
It has to happen.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
No, I don't think so, because I don't think like
I appreciate you saying that, but people don't care.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 10 (15:09):
No?
Speaker 2 (15:09):
I really don't think people care. I was supposed to
stage dive at Coachella. Gwen said, listen, you're allowed to
come on stage, take up your shirt and stage dive
and it's funny, and Laura social media directors like, oh
my god, that I'll be so amazing and it would
have been great. But does that affect enemy's life as
a fan of Gwen's to funny? No, So I don't
think during the interview it has to be oh, we
got to do that thing with val da da da da.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
But it affects the lives of fans of Valentine in
the morning.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Yeah, But are they're more fans of Gwen or Valentine
in the morning. Yeah, but listening to the show and
there might be more fans of Valentine in the morning.
Thang Glen, Right, you're right, this isn't about her. What
an egomania. Let's shut her down and do this ourselves,
all right, If you got your kids going the school
this morning, getting up getting ready. I know my kid
(15:53):
gets up early sometimes for like soccer practice before school.
So if you got a kid that gets up early
for any type of sport and anything you want them
to get a shout out. Out reach out at three
one oh four to three, and there is one thousand
bucks on the way seven o'clock and tour tailor continues
today as well.
Speaker 11 (16:06):
Text Valentine in the morning at three one oh four
to three.
Speaker 7 (16:10):
I'm gonna tell you present that's your choppic with Valentine
in the morning.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
All right, Natalia, thank you very much. Appreciate that Jill
has some Uh do you have any entertainment headlines today?
Speaker 9 (16:18):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (16:18):
I didn't prepare anything.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Excuse me, you.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Just phoned it in. You just thought we're gonna hang
out in New York City.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
I left my laptop in the Airbnb New York Chill.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Huh oops, there's no computer here for me.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Oh there's no computer. There's eighty computers in this room alone.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
Are you doing three things?
Speaker 12 (16:39):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (16:39):
That's right, Well, I guess if you're not doing headlines,
we're not gonna go through that.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
We're in New York City, Jill and I broadcasting from
our sister iHeartMedia facility, while I'm Brian and John and
Laura live back in the studio. We do have Gwen
Stefani in the show today, so that's kind of cool.
So we just have blown out all the rules for
that today. But if you want to reach out, three
one o four three, our text lines wide open. Three
one oh four three. Tour Taylor also coming up. It's
(17:07):
Valentine in the Morning.
Speaker 9 (17:13):
Down down.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
One of four to three mile fam It's Valentine in
the Morning. We just played two Taylor songs in a row.
Can I ask what your name is? Please? Hi, you
have got some Taylor merch coming your way and you're
qualified to.
Speaker 10 (17:29):
Yay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
But that also means you are qualified right now to
see Taylor Swift as her very last show of the
Aras Tour in the United States.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Hang out so we get your information. Okay, we'll get
you all set here.
Speaker 10 (17:42):
Hey, thank you.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Another chance coming up all day long. We're doing this
multiple times a day. So anytime you hear two Taylor
songs in a row, get your name on that list
to go to the final tour stop of the Aras Tour,
the very final stop in the United States. You'll be
there for that final show. Final shows are always off
the chain, so you can be there for Taylor Swift's
final show in the United States for this tour. Good
(18:04):
luck to tell you for ascent about you got that
morning trapping and tell you what's going on.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
So as you go into Hawthorne on the four or
five north from Londale, you got an accident that has
been pushed up to the right.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Children one of four to threem it is Valence out
in the morning tour with Taylor. Your chance to hang
out with Taylor Swift. That is happening all day long today. John,
it's a contest that you're I guess your hero came
up with John Peak.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yes, yeah, And what a guy for doing that. So
many people are stoked on this contest.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
By the way, you know what John calls him now,
like little John. John Camucci here calls John Peak his muse.
Wow yeah, not being like like his inspiration. That's a
phrase from back in the day.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
You know, it's bad juju to make fun of someone
else's muse.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Oh, I'm not making fun of your muse, not at all. Okay,
oh for the muse of music.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
But John, if you were in a canoe and there
was only one space left for someone, and Valentine's in
the water to your left, and John Peaks in the
water to your right. Who are you going to bring
up into your canoe?
Speaker 2 (19:07):
He's taking John Peak every time, and he'll cover it
by going only think Bell can swim gootter ooh, He'll
say something like that.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
Actually, John Peak could probably swim better. What the dude
hikes like seventeen miles every weekend.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
He's pushing John Peak into the water.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
So John Peak's staying in the water and you're pulling
me into the canoe.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
I would have to make a game time decision.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
A game time decision.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
I would jump out of the boat myself and allow
both of you to get in it.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Wow, that's a beautiful answer.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
What times let me think? Okay, all right, make out Mary?
Maybe okay, John Peak, John Peaks twin in me?
Speaker 1 (19:42):
How about you Brian and John Peak. I feel like
that's no, no, no, I just want like two John
Peaks versus me. Well, you can't have two John Peaks,
so yeah, the clone's gone.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Okay, Wow, continue you make it out with who you're Mary.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
That's a good question. Who would be a better spouse? Well,
Valentine's see your meals. I don't know if John Pee
can cook, so we might have to get married.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
The sad part. He's really got this down, went in
intellectually speaking about this thing and came up an answer
that actually does make sense.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Yeah, wow, just not to cook myself. It's my least
favorite thing.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
To do is make dinner. So so you're still not
like cooking for your girlfriend Olivia, Oh god, No.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
I try sometimes and it's fine, and she'll lie to
me and she'll tell me it's fine, But realistically she's
just better at that stuff. She'll whip up something and
she's like, oh this is it's not gonna be that good.
It's the best thing I've tasted in months every.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Time, because she'll post some of those plates and those
meals look delicious.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
It's so good.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Have you have you? Have you? Have you checked the trash?
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Are you implying that she has potentially gone out, gotten
to go food, brought at home, switched what that food
is in, and then lied to me and told me
she made it.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
That's a possibility. Could have hit up a Trader Jows
or something like that, cook something up and shove that
thing in there. And I would not even just check
the top of the trash. I checked the bottom of
that bin. I check outside too.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Listen, you couldn't fool me, because that's my move. I've
done that so many times.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
No chance, have you actually done that for ex girlfriends
I have before?
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, And it's not like I told them I made it.
I'm just like, hey, I I.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Took care of dinner. I took care of dinner. And
they know better. They know.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
They just don't say anything because they're like, it was
still sweet that you want to.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
It's John's legal backgrounds coming out here. You know, a
play on words. I took care of dinner for us,
not saying it purchased it.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
It's not a lie, it's just a fit.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
What a catch?
Speaker 2 (21:29):
What a catch? Right there? Thousand dollars come your way
at seven o'clock this morning.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Every time you come around. Do you know what.
Speaker 2 (21:40):

the number five hundred represent the winning car? The amount
(23:42):
of miles? Five hundred miles? And now you would, and
now you would? Daniel.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Zoey deu Chanel stars in the movie five hundred.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
Days of what?
Speaker 10 (23:58):
Five hundred days of some Yes, that's.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Correct, guys, take the lead. It is one to nothing.
How many members make up the electronic music group known
as the Chain Smokers.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Q's correct, Daniel.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
How many brothers are in Hanson?
Speaker 12 (24:20):
Two?
Speaker 5 (24:21):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (24:22):
There's three?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
All right, you guys are tied up. If you were
playing a FIFA video game, what sport would you be playing?
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Football?
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Well? What do you mean by that?
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Like?
Speaker 12 (24:39):
Flag football?
Speaker 2 (24:40):
No, it's actually it is soccer. But I don't know
if you were saying football, but now I know.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
And Daniel Pedro Pascal currently stars in what HBO show
based on a video game?
Speaker 10 (24:54):
It's The Survivor one where he's on an island. I
don't know, last Survivor.
Speaker 6 (25:01):
Oh, the Last of Us?
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Okay, that means we go to announced tough tie breaker question. Holler,
are you named her? The answer name will be your buzzer.
Wait until Brian Burton finishes asking the question before you
buzz in.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
What album is perfect from start to finish?
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Daniel Daniel The Beatles album where they're walking across the
front of it.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Is that what they call that one?
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (25:28):
Heavy Road?
Speaker 3 (25:28):
That is heavy road? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Guys? When you got it? Battle Sexist Championship certificate posted
on soul She's a hashtag Valentine the morning you share
with Pride. Okay, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (25:42):

Speaker 2 (25:44):
And you've got tickets to go see.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Because you know I'm all about that.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Meghan Trainer can't form October nineteenth throughout so now ticketmaster
dot com love it. Oh that's awesome. Well, Davinaz, you
exit the stage. This moment is entirely yours. You take
it away.
Speaker 12 (26:00):
Congrats put on with your daughter.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Thanks Savina. One of four to three. My Fami, It
is Valentine in the morning. Jill and I broadcasting from
New York today. We've got Gwen Stefani in our Burbank studios.
She's going to be there at about eight twenty five today.
So we're in New York and we're broadcasting from here.
(26:24):
And I wanted to just shout out to me. It
has kids that have imaginary friends. And one of the
reasons I wanted to do it three one o four three.
Shout out to your imaginary friend kids. If you want
your imaginary friend to have a shout out, reach out
three one o four three. But one of the reasons
I wanted to do it is the show IF was
playing on the movie screen on the plane ride out
here for Jill and I and I was gonna watch it,
(26:47):
but I don't know I wanted to watch it. I
didn't watch it, and it was a really dumb reason
why I didn't watch it, And that's why I wanted
to shout out to the imaginary friends out there. There
was a lady next to me sitting in the seae
next to me. Jill didn't want to sit with me.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
No, that's not true.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
These the only two seats available, so I'll just say
we could have asked.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Them to switch, but you were like I stayed with
the smelly cheese guy.
Speaker 6 (27:09):
Yeah, he smelled like cheese.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
Like cheese. So anyway, the lady next to me looked
older and learned right, and I just thought she's gonna
judge me if I'm sitting back watching if so, I
watched like a documentary about animals narrated by David Attenburg
or something. I know over the judged you.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
But I do think you kind of dotched a bullet
because that movie was whatever to mean. Oh it was cute,
I like it was so good. I really wanted to
like it. It was like directed by John Krasinski. I love
Steve Carrell, but I just know it was kind of whatever.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
For me. It just didn't grab you. Did you not
have an imaginary friend, John, No, I never did. Maybe
that's why you couldn't connect.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Yeah, I just I couldn't do it. Like I don't
mind children's movies, like sometimes they're really good, but this
one for me.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
I just as a kid, I had imaginary friends. I
had more than one, because some just I guess quit.
I just decided to move.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
They weren't at the same time.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
It was it was like replacement friends. And I would
have one, and as my mom would tell me, something
happened to them, and they just she said, they moved away.
And then I got another imaginary friend, and so I
just cycled through names for them and stuff. The boy
that lived in the attic was one of the longest
imaginary friends I ever had. And he didn't really have
a name. He's just a boy that lived in the attic.
(28:22):
And he would come down our attic stairs and everything
and come hang out and you play with me. But
at night he would go back up in the attic.
It sounds creepy, I realized. I'm so sorry that sounds
so creepy. I didn't mean it that way. He was
a fun guy.
Speaker 6 (28:33):
He was a ghost.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
No, he was a boy that lived in the attic.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
Okay, And what was his name?
Speaker 4 (28:37):
Didn't he didn't have a name, boy that lived in
the adic.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
He couldn't come up with a Chris or something.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Excuse me. The guy was just a boy that lived
in the air. I didn't call him, you know, boy
that lived in the attic? Ess go high friend, and
he was just a boy that lived in the attic.
He was my maginary friend, so I called him high
friend and that was sweet. Brian, what about your kid's
imaginary friends?
Speaker 3 (28:58):
There's boogie la la chanch You were.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Mad at me for boy that lived in the attic.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Then I have a new one from Amaya, my three
year old chi chi wah wah.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
These sound like Jill's family names, right, Jill's reunion.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Let's run him down slow against Bookie.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
La la booky laala.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yes, then chancho chancho and chi chi wah wah, chi
chi wah wah. Are you concerned at all that they're
in Spanish immersion and don't know how to speak English?
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Are those words in Spanish?
Speaker 4 (29:26):
Cheese?
Speaker 2 (29:26):
No? Chi chi is the other words bookie la la.
I don't know what's going on there. I mean it's
making up words or something.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
I just remembered Jill told me what chi chi means. Yes, oh, yes,
before was chichi.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
I have chee cheese. You don't say that.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Well, I put on some weight so I might have
some chee cheese. I might have better che cheese than you.
Eight sixty six five four four f three one o
four three. Would your child or if you want to
talk about their imaginary friend, like to give them a
shout out right now, let's hear name three one.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
Four three FM. Listen anywhere with the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 7 (30:07):
I'm Natali present. That's your traffic with Boundine in the morning.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
All right, Natalia, thank you very much. The weather today,
I guess eighties to nineties and sunny so still it
kind of warm out there. We're actually in New York.
Oursells right now, Jill and I in The weather here
today is just it's stunning. It's been so nice here.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
It's so beautiful, it really is.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Sorry, guys, and we're peeping. We're peeping all over the place.
What do you mean leaf peeping?
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Pep didn't give me any clarity.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
You know what leaf peeping is when you're checking out
the leaves. You've never heard of that before. People go
on leaf peep trips. People to leaf is how you
say it in French. I am not. There are leaf
peepers all across this country. When you guys doubted me,
we're getting off topic. When you doubted me about being
a member of the Autama Society and doing the Great
Backyard Bird Count, you know wrong. I'm not wrong. Leaf
(30:58):
peeping is legit. That's what you call it.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
A quate to google, leaf peeping as the term used
to describe the activity of traveling to see and photograph
the changing colors of the lead.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Jill, I can't see you right now, but take the
twenty that I'll just slid.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
John. You can google that yourself. Google John, look it
up yourself.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
Because val uses peeps in a different context, so you
don't have to.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Okay, we don't have time for your fantasy land marching
Easter Eastern. Let's just move along from that, saying good
morning to Casey. Casey, good morning, Welcome to Valentine in
the morning. How are you doing, Casey, Hi, how are
(31:40):
you good?
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Good?
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Fantastic? So, imaginary friend, Casey, who's your maginary friend of
your kids? Imaginary friend?
Speaker 10 (31:48):
So, my son has two imaginary friends, and they're chickens.
They're Nana boo boo and Chicken.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Nana Yana boo boo and Chicken Nana are the sagenary friends?
Speaker 10 (32:01):
Correct? Yep?
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Wow? And what do they do?
Speaker 10 (32:04):
They run around the house, They go with us places.
He's had them for a couple of years. Okay, people
even pet them. He'll like, we were at church once
and he let running around to everybody at church all like, oh,
pet my chicken, and they all just pat him on
the head and they all just go along with it.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
So your kids run around the church, you go, pet
my chicken, Nana booboo and pet my chicken. What was
the other one?
Speaker 10 (32:26):
Chicken Nana and Nana chicken?
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Then okay, Nana booboo and chicken Nana and people reach
out and pet the air.
Speaker 10 (32:33):
Yep, they'll pat him right on the head. It's very funny.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
I know I would if a child asked me to
do something like that chicken, you play along. If they
have imaginary friend, you play along.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
But at first you don't know what he's talking about.
It goes, hey, pet my chicken, and you're like, how
does he tell him?
Speaker 10 (32:49):
The part? Oh, if you go to pit check and
Nana and you say, oh, chicken, Nana, he'll correct you.
But you know, for the most part, you know, I
pretend to trip over them around the house too, be
like Nana boo and he's like, that's chicken, Nana.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Stop it. He corrects you when you get the wrong chicken.
Speaker 10 (33:07):
Absolutely, have you ever late at night.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
When it's dark outside, you lay your head to rest
upon the pillow and you're going to sleep. Have you
ever heard me in the room a little?
Speaker 10 (33:20):
No, Thank goodness.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Is the fridge always filled with eggs? Yes?
Speaker 10 (33:26):
No, there was an incident about a week ago, because
he's seven now and he started this when he was five.
And the other day we were talking because he hadn't
mentioned them in a while, and he mentioned them one day.
I was like, chicken Nana, Nana Boo boo. We just
had chicken Nana the other day. And he's like, no, stop,
you're God, Casey.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Way to take it dark.
Speaker 10 (33:50):
The worst part though, is like I text my husband
be so then text me back and I'm in the car. Yeah,
and so I have Sierry read back the message. He goes,
Nana Boo boo's on the bo on the next blow
the chopping block.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Yeah no, we all got it now. Yeah, thanks, Casey.
This is such a fun conversation. Until now worried about
the welfare of Nana Buoba and Chickenana.
Speaker 10 (34:13):
They are alive and well.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
All right, just a joke. They're a lot. Nana boob
and Chickenanda live and well, okay, case thanks for calling in.
Have a great day.
Speaker 10 (34:19):
Okay, You're welcome, you too.
Speaker 11 (34:23):
You're listening to Valentine in the Morning on three my
SM Listen anywhere with the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 7 (34:30):
I'm the Tali Press and that's your traffick with Valentine
in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Good morning, Kim. How are you doing today? Good?
Speaker 12 (34:36):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (34:37):
We're doing good? Jill and I are in New York
City for a radio award show. How compelling and exciting
is that?
Speaker 6 (34:42):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (34:42):
Good luck?
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Thank you very much, appreciate that. So the imaginary friend's name,
is it your child or is it your imaginary friend?
Speaker 12 (34:50):
No, it was my daughter.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Okay, what was her name?
Speaker 12 (34:52):
Her name's Jacqueline. But the imaginary friends were Batman and Robin. Yes,
not unique. But she did have an older brother, so
I'm sure that Fi it's the name.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Oh my gosh. You think they were hand me down friends?
Can you do that? Can you have a hand me
down imaginary friends?
Speaker 6 (35:07):
Probably?
Speaker 2 (35:08):
You know.
Speaker 12 (35:08):
I think she probably just heard the names a lot
and thingured they were good names.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
I wonder how that works. So, because like in toy store,
you handed down the toys, right, they became the valued
friend of somebody else who was a bit younger and stuff.
So what was your son's name, your older son, Chris.
Do you think that Chris said maybe to your daughter
one day, well, I bequeathed to you my imaginary friends
Batman and Robin, and treat them well.
Speaker 12 (35:32):
Seriously, I would not have put it past him. Yeah,
sounds like something you would absolutely do.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Or if you watch Curb, it's a foist. He foisted
the friends onto your daughter. She gets stuck with Batman
and Robin. It's like, well, now I got to take
care of these two. They're not even my friends. He
foisted Batman and Robin on me, and all of a sudden,
they're like on my welfare program of friendship.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Do you know were they the actual Batman and Robin? Like,
were they wearing the suits or was that just their names?
Speaker 12 (35:57):
I think they were. I think they were the Batman
and Robins because she she would talk about how they
would fight and how Yeah, so yes, I think they were.
I think was inspired by that.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
They were fighting each other or they're secretly fighting for
the Oh they did to hear that.
Speaker 12 (36:12):
Yeah, yeah, they argued all the time. You know, we'd
literally be on our way somewhere and she'd be like,
Batman and Robin are fighting again and they won't come,
and I would have to tell her, Look, if they
can't get in the car, then we have to leave
them behind her.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
So it really is either the superheroes are just like
a really old couple.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
How do I want to go? I'm not getting in
the car. We did these road trips in there, boring.
That's great. How old is she now? By the way,
how old is your daughter now?
Speaker 12 (36:39):
Twenty five?
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Do you ever ask her about Batman and Robin?
Speaker 12 (36:43):
You know, when I saw this question, I thought, you
know what, I'm going to ask her because they haven't
talked to her. I don't know if I've talked to
her in a long time about this, So I.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Think I'm going to There's such a magic and such
an innocence to the imaginary friend that you wonder, when
is that moment where they're just not part of the
day any more? And does she remember that and does
she miss that? Would she like to still have those
imaginary friends in her life? You know?
Speaker 12 (37:05):
Yeah, I'm guessing it probably transitions when they get real friends.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah, maybe, but psychologically too. I'd love to if somebody
wants to reach out three one o four three. That's
in that field psychologically. What is the benefit to the
imaginary friend? And why do kids develop the imaginary friend?
And some kids like John never had an imaginary friend.
Speaker 12 (37:24):
Oh that's sad.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
I think I was all right, I had a sister.
I mean, I guess a lot of these kids, did
you did you a minute?
Speaker 2 (37:34):
She was my imaginary friend this whole time We've never
met her. What all right, Kim, have a great day,
Thanks for calling in.
Speaker 12 (37:41):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Do you go dreams?
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Why in the quiet of the night and it is
valid out in the morning. This is one of four
three I FM. If you are taking the kids to

Speaker 8 (41:54):
We got a three car crash as you go into
Santa Fe Springs on the six oh five north, one
of four three.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
My family is Valentine in the morning. You put your
hands together for when Stefani in the studio.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
Thank you for having me.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
You look great, you sound great. Life is great for you,
isn't it.
Speaker 13 (42:23):
It's you know what, new music never gets old. It
is so exciting. It's been such a journey and I
didn't know it was going to be this like fulfilling, emotional,
like healing, like all the stuff that it usually is,
except for I don't know, I'm in a different place
in my life and I really had to fight to
get this record, fight with myself by the way, to
(42:44):
get it to this point. And it's it was really
an kind of an art project for me because I
knew it wasn't like anyone's really necessarily waiting for it,
And it was almost like the idea of going and
stealing moments out of my family time to like go
be oh, I'm gonna go write music, like what are
you doing? Like you've already done that so much like
just grow up kind of thing. But I also know
(43:06):
that I needed to do it for my own sanity,
for my own mental health, like and my own artistry,
like all the things that we need as people.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
So I'm just excited it comes out November fifteenth. The
song we're playing as somebody Else's Okay is the name
of the album, because i'd Aveber fifteenth. When you talk
about you had to get it out of you, do
you feel like did it flow out or was it
a tougher process?
Speaker 13 (43:29):
Well, I started a long time ago. I started, like
Kelly Clarkson actually was texting me during COVID and we
were like in Oklahoma with the kids doing the homeschool,
doing the sour no bread all the stuff, and she's like, oh,
listen to the song I wrote. And I was like what,
Like when like, oh, I stay up all night blah
blah blah.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
I was like what about the kid?
Speaker 5 (43:50):
Like when are you writing.
Speaker 13 (43:51):
A song in COVID? Like I was so jealous, and
they were really good songs, and so I started thinking,
like I want to do that song. And then I
basically came back after COVID and was still COVID.
Speaker 5 (44:05):
I went in the studio.
Speaker 13 (44:06):
It was like everything was covered in plastic and a mask,
and I met this girl and like I'd never met
her before. She's in a mask and like we're trying
to write a song together. And that was the first
session I had. And then I actually went back and
started doing a bunch of sessions just on zoom right,
and I wrote a bunch of songs I love, like
I even put out, you know, a couple of songs.
(44:27):
But it felt like I really wanted to. I was
chasing myself a lot, like I was going backwards, like
with trying to like compete with myself or something, and
even just like stylistically, like it just never landed, Like
it never felt like even when I'd played for people,
it'd be like they wouldn't react, like you know what
I'm saying, Like it was like you just know it's
(44:49):
good when it's good, and you know it's not when
it's not. And it just wasn't the time, like I
wasn't landing, And it wasn't until like I finally got
in the right group of writers that I fel well
and got into the right head space for myself to go,
you know what you need to like you can't wait
for anyone else.
Speaker 5 (45:07):
You got to do this.
Speaker 13 (45:08):
And I wrote Purple Irises, which is the first song
that kind of led me into the finish of this album,
which actually got written pretty quickly after I wrote I
finally figured out where who I am today.
Speaker 5 (45:19):
You know what I'm saying. The art process is really weird.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
No, I'm sure it is. I mean, I've written a
couple songs myself and they've been they never landed process hard.
But when I listened to these songs I mentioned before
went on the air that I got a sneak release
of tracks that you know, the album's not out until
November fifteen, so everyone be ready to preorder that. But
I listened to some and you're in such a beautiful place,
(45:46):
and these songs, more so than any album that comes
to mind for me, for you will speak to people
so much like they're going to grab them and go,
oh my god, that's me. Even the darker ones, they're
gonna go, that's me.
Speaker 5 (46:01):
Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (46:02):
I think so? I really do.
Speaker 13 (46:04):
I hope so like that at this point, like that
is the purpose, right, Like I always ask God, like
use me for your purpose? Like yeah, And I think
about my life and I think about me and Anahim
and being.
Speaker 4 (46:17):
Like like who am I?
Speaker 13 (46:20):
I don't know, like passive, not good at anything, dyslexic.
And then I wrote a song Like I didn't write it,
it was handed down to me and I received a song,
and you know that was like that process was what
nine years of being the garage, like just never thinking
anyone would hear it, going through heartbreak and writing about it,
(46:41):
not even know I could write about it. I didn't
even know I could do that. It's like it was
like somebody that said, oh, I'm gonna do some backflips
right now. I've never done it before, and then you
did it and you're like, w oh, I didn't know I.
Speaker 5 (46:52):
Could do that.
Speaker 13 (46:53):
So it's interesting because when you just be you sometimes
and you just be truthful and hones and that's what
I tried really hard.
Speaker 5 (47:02):
I knew I needed to do on this record.
Speaker 13 (47:05):
That's why it took so long, because I kind of
like I even after I finished writing all the songs
with amazing writers, producers, all of it, I felt like
I needed to re record it as a bouquet.
Speaker 5 (47:17):
I needed to go back in. I needed to pick
out just the best.
Speaker 13 (47:21):
Ones that represented lyrically, what represented the last eight years
or whatever it's been, and like go in and cut
it live. And I went to Nashville with a producer
that I've been dying to work with who would be like,
you would never imagine us together because he's a country producer.
It makes no sense to the Anaheim me and the
Nashville him.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
Right, Seeing you and a country person together makes no sense.
That's crazy.
Speaker 13 (47:44):
Oh yeah, well we're kind of getting used to it now.
I've gone country, but not musically. But this guy, Scott
Hendricks who had worked with Blake, and I'd got to
work with him through Blake and he's like a quirky,
eccentric genius. And I wanted to sound like the songs
that I listened to in when I was a little
girl in this like in the seventies, like in the
(48:05):
back of the station wagon going to church, like all
that kind of Now we call it.
Speaker 5 (48:09):
Yacht rock, but is that yeah, exactly, that sounds.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
That was our generation. Yeah, yeah, let me do this.
Gwen Stefani's in the studio, take a break, come back. I
want to tell you because I did get some sneak
tracks that haven't been released yet, obviously, and I want
to tell you about Mamusa. He was the Uber driver.
Unfortunately he did get to hear them as well. I'm sorry,
Imusa did hear them? And I want to tell you
about the girl in the back of the uber that
cried and you see, yes, and you see if you
(48:34):
can tell me what song you think made this girl
in the back of an uber cry when she heard it?
Speaker 5 (48:39):
Are you really lying right now?
Speaker 2 (48:41):
I am not. Am I really lying right now?
Speaker 4 (48:42):
No?
Speaker 2 (48:42):
I'm not. This is one hundred cent true, and I'll
prove it to you, Gwen Stefani right after this.
Speaker 11 (48:46):
Okay, you're listening to Valentine in the Morning on my FM.
Listen anywhere with the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 8 (48:53):
I'm gonna tell you press and that's your chapic with
Valentine in the Morning, all right, to tell you thank.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
You, Gwen Stefani in the studio, thank go.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
Do I clap for myself?
Speaker 2 (49:02):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (49:03):
You like, there's lots of people.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Yeah. If you don't do it, then Brian has to
go find some clap from some sound effect library. And
it's a whole big mess, you know. So the song
somebody Else is that's what we're gonna play in a
few seconds. Here. Bouquet is out November fifteenth. Gwen is here.
I mentioned that I was in an uber We're in
New York for a radio award show, myself and Jill
and then John and Brian a Lure all there with
you in the studio in Burbank and Mamusa was our
(49:26):
uber driver today and your team had sent me a
bunch of tracks to listen to from the album. And
what an explosion of relationship love this album really is.
It's coming in and all vibrant colors of music, it
really is. But there's one track where the girl next
to me, and her name is Jill, I love you
chill your letters just like your name and your sister's.
Speaker 6 (49:45):
Name, right, Gwen, I love you so much, I love you.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
Back, and she and I let her jump in. But
there was a track she said, that's exactly how I feel.
I even wrote down myself some of the lyrics from
the song and everything, which I won't say because the
album's not out yet. But she was just so impacted
by that, and I thought, like, how many other girls
and guys will be impacted by one particular song about
how they finally feel. Do you have any idea what
(50:09):
that song might be?
Speaker 5 (50:10):
How I finally feel?
Speaker 2 (50:11):
How you find?
Speaker 4 (50:12):
Now?
Speaker 2 (50:12):
You find is somebody made you feel a certain way finally.
Speaker 5 (50:14):
Oh I'm gonna guess pretty. Yeah, I'm gonna pretty.
Speaker 4 (50:19):
Because when I am, I immediately related to this era
of yours with somebody else's because I loved how you
said that. This song wasn't originally going to be on
the album, because you know it was. It's more of
like the darker song, but you need that darkness to
appreciate the light. So you wanted to make sure you
had all of those emotions on the album, and I
(50:39):
love that so much because I'm in an era of
my life where I am the happiest I've been and
finally finding that one person that I'm supposed to be
with who came much later on in life after so
many different relationships.
Speaker 5 (50:51):
Well, this is your record, girl.
Speaker 4 (50:54):
We're listening to it in the back of the uber
and I turned my head to vow because I just
my eyes were just feel with tears because it was
exactly how I feel in this moment, and just like
leading up to it, never knowing and never feeling like right,
never feeling I'm gonna cry right now, Yeah, never feeling
like the right appreciation and that right love for someone,
(51:15):
and then you realize what that love is and how
someone can love you the way they do. And this
I know, I'm going to absolutely love this album, So
thank you in advance.
Speaker 13 (51:24):
Oh my, just hearing just a couple songs, it's so
wild because I honestly know that it's like a god thing.
Like it's because if the fact that like I could
just be like super honest about my feelings and then
that you could have the exact same feelings.
Speaker 5 (51:41):
It makes me feel like I was like used to
like say that.
Speaker 13 (51:45):
I'm saying like it's and I actually played the record
for my entire like record company Universal the world. Right
the other day, we had like this huge zoom with
like I don't know how many people were on there,
like like over fifty people.
Speaker 5 (52:00):
And I'm like, you know, racing around in the morning
getting the kids.
Speaker 6 (52:05):
Off, Like what are we doing?
Speaker 5 (52:06):
You know what I mean, Like get in front of.
Speaker 13 (52:08):
The zoom and I'm clicking through and seeing all these
humans like in these little boxes, and we start talking
about the record and I'm literally crying, like it was
so embarrassing. And that's why right now I'm not doing
it on the radio. Guys, I'm holding it together. But
when you started crying, I was like I was crying
because it's like it's crazy to play it and share it.
Speaker 5 (52:31):
Because I was thinking about this on the way here.
Speaker 13 (52:34):
You need to confess, like we as people need to share, confess,
bounce off each other, love each other, like help each
other in this life.
Speaker 5 (52:43):
We're tribal, We're we're resting for each other. We need
each other. I agree.
Speaker 13 (52:49):
And I feel like it's like with music, it's that
that that one thing, that one thing that is you
can't see it, you can't you can't see it. It's
like if you can't see love, you can't see faith,
you can't see hope, you can't see trust. But it's
so those things are so powerful, and music is so
powerful and it's such a binding thing between people, and
so I just feel so honored, like and also like
(53:12):
I would never expect at this point in my life
right like to be able to be here right now
on the radio talking to you guys about new music,
Like I am so honored and just grateful, and I
just want people to be able to get like a
record that they listen to and that I'm hopefully that
it's this one that they can just ya fell in
(53:32):
love with and just listen.
Speaker 5 (53:33):
To over over over, and you know what I mean,
and it speaks to them because it did that for me.
This record did that for me.
Speaker 13 (53:39):
And I can say that and not feel like arrogant
because I promise you that these songs just appeared and
came down to me like they all have like in
my entire career. It's just the most beautiful. I feel
so blessed like that that I got to do music.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
You've painted such a great picture though too. You talk about,
like when you said humans and little boxes too. I'd
never heard that phrase before. We talk about zoom or
something like that, but really we are all human. We
forget that. And you talked about the tribal connections. And
in the early days, you know, if you go back
to cave man time, you gather around a campfire, you
sang songs, you told stories. So that art form of
the spoken word and the lyrics that you bring to
(54:15):
life with the music and everything, that is a connection
that resonates in our very own DNA. And that's what
this album I think is going to show people the
connection of love and struggling through love and the finding
a relationship that really speaks to your heart. I think
that's what you've got in your hands here. Wow.
Speaker 5 (54:30):
Well, I cannot wait for everyone to hear it.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
Well, I mean, we could push it up and play
the whole thing right now, if you're to do.
Speaker 5 (54:38):
I would be into it.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Well, you're the best. We appreciate you coming in. We're
going to play the songs you exit when Stefani. Always
great to see you. I wish I was there, Jill.
Speaker 5 (54:45):
Thank you for crying in the car and.
Speaker 13 (54:48):
Listening and Mamosa, Yeahmusa, shout out to you.
Speaker 4 (54:52):
I've loved you since middle school and it's just it's
so amazing that like we are on this path and
you're still creating music that speaks to me.
Speaker 6 (54:59):
So thank you.
Speaker 5 (55:00):
Oh my gosh, thank you. I love everybody that's listening.
Speaker 2 (55:03):
I love Did you want to introduce your song?
Speaker 5 (55:05):
Okay, this is my new single off my new album
called Bouquet. And this is somebody Else's.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
One O four to three my Vami, it is Valentine
in the morning. Thank you to Gwen Stefani for coming
by the studio again today.
Speaker 4 (55:28):
I love her so much.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
Brian is going to now lean into the microphone and
tell us what Gwen's toe Fani, because you got to
take a picture. They remember if you missed part of
the show today. Jill and I are actually in New
York City right now, broadcast from my heart here. We
came for an award show for radio people. So, Brian,
what did she smell like?
Speaker 3 (55:47):
If you can imagine a purple lily kissed by an angel,
that's what.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
I would have gone to. The purple iris. Yeah, yeah,
I would have gone with whatever song. Well, it smelled
like purple dandelion. She was great. You can hear that
entire video. It'll be up on our Instagram and stuff
as well. At Valentine in the Morning, at Valentine in
the Morning and insta thousand bucks coming up at nine o'clock.
Speaker 11 (56:09):
You're listening to Valentine in the Morning one four three
my FM. Listen anywhere with the iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (56:16):
App one O four to three MYVM. It is Valentine
in the Morning. My fashion designer Ronnie now entering the studio.
How are you, Gray? How are you Ronnie? I wanted
to talk to you because now we are into October,
deep into October and the fall fashions for men. There's
(56:37):
been a trend recently, and this specifically affects like divorced guys.
It seems like they've been doing this trend, like do
you think Jeff Bezos, You think of like Elon Musk
guys like that, where older men feel like they have
to wear leather and show up a bit of masculinity
to do their fashion. Have you noticed any of that?
Speaker 9 (56:57):
I see that, But I do feel like leather is
just coming back because a lot of the cowboy culture
is coming back into play thanks to Queen Bee.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
I was gonna say if you were crediting her for
that yet.
Speaker 9 (57:08):
Yes, of course, but I do notice that trend is
coming back and a lot of guys are wearing leather.
Not everyone can pull it off. I will say that
because you know you have to, like, let me see
how Let's watch you.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
Okay, this is great. Guys, watch the car as it
starts to go off the cliff, but then maybe comes back.
Speaker 9 (57:24):
Go ahead running. Yeah, it's like teeter tottering and then
you know it lands safely. But yeah, I just feel
like you can't. How do I want to say that?
Just just do it, Just rip off the bit. Everyone
just wear leather. Honestly, No, that was not what you
were saying.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Come on, are you saying that certain men can't pull
it off in their physique? Yes, that's a great way
to phrase it.
Speaker 9 (57:46):
Yeah, like not everyone could pull up like I've worn
leather before at stagecoach. Okay, but yeah, not everyone can
pull it off. And also, like, I don't think everyone
would want to wear it because it is kind of uncomfortable.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
It can't be. You're also very fit. You wearing leather,
you can wear those smaller sizes look fine. If you're
alluding to me, I assume you're saying that. I know
I didn't wear you. I was just saying him someone
like me, could I wear leather? I don't think so.
(58:17):
No offense to you, I'm just keeping it. Yeah, no,
none taken. But you look good in other stuff. Now,
this offense taken.
Speaker 4 (58:27):
You need your stylist to be honest with you, and
Ronnie's being honest with.
Speaker 9 (58:29):
You, right right, yeah, and the nicest way possible. Well,
you look good right now, you look great.
Speaker 2 (58:36):
I'm wearing a new balanced T shirt, Ronnie. It's nice.
You see this three times a week, arguably this particular shirt.
Speaker 9 (58:44):
You know, Yes, But if you listen, I've been telling
you about like compression clothing, and I think you need
to get on that trim compression clothes. It sucks everything
and keeps everything nice and like tight, and then you
could wear whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (58:58):
Wait, what happened to that no offence thing? What you
need me to wear spanks over my entire body? You
want me need a spank suit. Men do need to
wear spanks to So you're telling me that suck everything in? Yes?
Oh no, not you personally that's exactly what you said.
Speaker 9 (59:15):
I'm just saying like men in general, like you can
wear spinks too and everything. You need to get on
that spanks thing.
Speaker 1 (59:22):
I've been telling you valder trap Ronnie, and I'm very yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
I can never say anything because I'm always just my
fashion designer Ronnie, available for fashion consultations as well. You guys,
you can find them on social media. Thank you, babe,
Thank you the pirscent you had the morning trapping to
tell you what's going on?
Speaker 8 (59:42):
All right, We're going out to downtown LA right now.
One ten North adjusts at the time, one.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
Of four, three Mi vam. It is Valentine in the morning.
Jill and I are going to be headed back after
tonight to Los Angeles. We're in New York City for
the Marconi Awards, and we like New York. It's fun.
Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
I love New York City.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Yeah you like.
Speaker 6 (01:00:07):
I love this place.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
I like the studios that I heard media here in
New York. I heart radio spent all their money in
New York.
Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
