(00:01):
It's the Valentine in the Morning replay. Welcome to the breakfast table of Valentine
in the Morning. I laughed heartily. Oh my god, help it's respectful
to say I love you. Thefull show podcast starts right now, six
twelve. It's Valentine in the Morningone O four three MYFM. We're gonna
run down some of Jill's gems rightnow, and this is some stuff that's
going on around southern California this weekend. And this first thing I have.

(00:23):
This first gem is for people whodon't necessarily like clothes and like bikes.
The World Naked Bike Ride is happeningtomorrow what and people ride bikes naked to
celebrate cycling in the human body.So the dress code is as bare as
you dare. And I went tothe website and people are completely bare.

(00:47):
So this is done to protest society'sdependence on pollution based transport. It is.
So there's two bike rides tomorrow, one through Chinatown and another one through
downtown LA and each ride is aroundseven miles long, and everybody's going to
meet in LA parking Lot number sevenin downtown LA. So if you're in
that area tomorrow, just know,if you see people riding bikes and they
have no clothes on, there isa reason also passes what I just tuned

(01:12):
in what the world naked bike ride? So what do they put on the
seats? They're booties? Why?No? I mean it's a good How
do you not get like an indecentexposure ticket? I don't know that.
I don't know. Huh, youride, you ride fast. But there's
so many of us, John, they're not going to get all of us,
John, They're not going to getus all. Like their website did

(01:33):
have some people in bathing suits, you know, some people were just up
in costumes, but a lot therewere a lot of a lot of booties
on that website. So you sawlike a lot of stuff nothing from the
front, just stuff from the back. But you can tell from the back
that the front was uncovered. Yes, wow, And where's this again?
It's that one in Chinatown and thenone in downtown La park tomorrow seven.

(01:56):
Yes, you meet at parking lotnumber seven. That's whereverybody meets you got.
I wonder, like, yeah, you're talking about a decent exposure.
I wonder if it's just a matterof like there's so many of us.
Good luck to them. Catching Yeah, don't be the slowest guy. And
it's stationwide. It happens to stationwide too, right, all kinds of
cities. Huh yeah, Because Imean if I walk down the street naked,
I'm going to get a ticket.Ticket. Yeah, just get on

(02:19):
to get experience on this big ticket. Oh yeah, naked, you are
the bigger the ticket. Is thathow it works. That's how it works.
Boy, that fraternit experience really cominghandy, isn't it? All?
Right? Moving on to something alittle more family friendly. The Pasena Chalk
Festival is this weekend, and typicallyit's at the Paso Colorado, but now
it's moved across the street to thePasadena Convention Center's plaza and there's more than

(02:42):
five hundred artists that create these chalkmasterpieces on the sidewalk. It's really cool
to see in person. It's freeand open to the public. Pride in
Santa Monica is happening on Saturday. There's the day Trip Festival where house music
is hitting the Queen Mary for daygoing. I'm going to day Trip.
Oh it looks cool. And thenNoah con is at the whole He was
there last night and he has anothershow tonight. We'll put the entire list

(03:04):
on our website. One O fourto three MIFM dot com slash Valentine.
Look, mommy, I drew apicture in chalk of the man and the
bike. What's that? Six twentyone? It is Valentine in the morning.
This is one of four three mifms. So. The actor Donald Sutherland
passed away yesterday the age of eightyeight. He's known for his roles in
movies like Mash Animal House, OrdinaryPeople, and The Hunger Games. Southern's

(03:29):
career spent over sixty years and hehad nearly two hundred film and TV credits.
His son, Keifer Sutherlanin, who'salso an accomplished actor, paid tribute
to his father in a post yesterdaywhere he called him one of the most
important actors in the history of film. I would agree. Tonight, the
Freeway series between the Dodgers and theAngels is going down at Dodgers Stadium.
This will be the first time thatShoheotani will face his former Angels teammates in

(03:52):
a regular season game. Otani signeda seven hundred million dollar contract with the
Dodgers in the offseason, but hewon't be pitching this sason due to that
elbow injury. All right, John, what's trending? So Noah Khan is
headlining two nights at the Hollywood Bowlthis week. So he was just in
an interview with GQ the other dayand he was talking about one of his

(04:13):
favorite things that he sees at hisshows, and he said, essentially seeing
all different kinds of men cry.He said, I see old men and
I see frat dudes crying at myshow, and it's the greatest thing in
the world. I'm telling you,Like, as a guy, it's completely
rare for two men to just crynext to each other, but to see
that in the crowd is so special. And I was like, dude,
I get it. I've been watchingthe tiktoks of his show and his tour

(04:35):
recently, and I tear up justwatching videos. So Noa Khan's back at
the Hollywood Bowl tonight for night too, John Kamuncin, that's what's trending in
music, John, You and Ishould go together and stand together so you
can go look great there an olddude in a frat dude. Brother,
I will cry. There's no holdingback. All Right, We've got a
chance to take us to see Zin the Park that's coming up, plus
at Friday for a sip on theway too. It is one of four

(04:58):
to three MIFM. It's Valentine, one of four to three mi fami.
It is balance and in the morningZed in the Park. You guys want
to go. It is eight sixtysix by four four MIVM. John,
what should they expect at Z inthe Park? Expect some of the best
electronic music you've ever heard. Butthen while you're dancing and jumping up and
down, it's the skyline of LosAngeles behind you. Nice, all right,

(05:18):
it's beautiful, Okay, not bad. I love it. Let's do
that at eight sixty six five fourfour MIFM. But now we roll into
first sip. Let's go. Memoriesare a funny thing. Memories sometimes can
bring you so much joy, inso much happiness, but at the same

(05:41):
time be kind of melancholy because youmissed those moments in life. Memories are
there scrap book to stories that arelife tells. When we go back,
we read those pages. We sometimestravel back ourselves. Find yourself a memory.
Now go back to a memory ifyou can. For me, it's
my childhood, visiting my mom inConnecticut, checking on her, seeing things

(06:05):
that look so different as a child, much larger and just different. But
these memories, as much as someof them, I'd like to go back
to some of those wonderful memories ofjust running through the park in the school,
or just running around my own backyard, or trying to build a tree

(06:25):
for it in that one tree inthe backyard that I could never really get
to build a tree ford In thesememories, they stay with us, and
you wish sometimes you could go back, and you wish it could be part
of those memories again, to relivethat part of the film that you're in,
but you can't. But it's stillthere. It's always part of that
film. You've never lost it.It's still there. It's still playing somewhere

(06:47):
in your mind right now. Sowhenever you want travel back to it,
watch that film one more time.I was just in my backyard in Connecticut,
and I went and I looked atthat tree where I desperately tried to
build a tree for it for somany years. Live let it know.
There was a whole company that didthat. Guys build treehouse nowadays. And
I tried and I pounded nails intothe side of this damn tree and it

(07:10):
never worked, and I never canget a tree ford up there. I
was a lousy builder. But it'sa memory that I love. It's a
memory of trying to do something. It's a memory that stays with me.
So if you've got a wonderful memory, cherish it, embrace it, whether
it's with a person or a momentin your life. Don't let go of
there. It'll always be there foryou. Hang out to it, and
don't let your kid build tree forits kids get nails in their feet.

(07:39):
This has gone dark. I'm sorryI stepped on a nail, okay when
I was building a tree for it. Please end on a positive note.
Man. The sad part is Istepped on it twice. How do you
have such a dumb kid that hesteps on a nail twice? Count us
up, Jill, one, two, three, There you go, one

(08:01):
A, four to three. Myfamily, it is Valentine in the morning,
six forty six. It's gonna behot this weekend. I hope your
ac holds. For everybody's sake outthere, it's gonna be hot. Just
be careful with that. Keep yourblinds closed. That'll help out in the
world of keeping the heat out ofyour house. Keep your curtains closed,
keep your blinds closed. Be thathouse that people go, what do you
think's going on in there? Thinkgot all the blinds closed. There's something

(08:22):
happening in there. Yeah, somethingstrange, something weird. But you're keeping
the heat out, You're keeping thesun out. Now you live life of
a vampire. Fine, but you'llbe cooler, right. Do you guys
do any precautions at your homes forthe heat? Basically just that keeping all
the blinds closed. I don't domuch on these hot days. Yeah,
lots of ice packs around my neck, especially since we have one less roommate.

(08:43):
We're really trying to mitigate the ACusage. Oh oh that's right,
Sehan. What about like you gota vent in that room that's up for
rent? Is our event in there? No? Oh for the A C.
Yes, yeah there is, andit's just central AC. We have
central AC as well. Yeah, close that vent, get a ladder,
go up there, close that vent. Yeah, just wastes no reason to
cool that room, you know whatI mean. And then keep their door

(09:05):
closed so you keep the heat trappedin that room. You don't put any
air in that room and then therest of the house stays cooler. Yeah,
that's a good tip. Yesterday weused the AC for the first time
this season. That feels amazing. It felt so good, felt so good.
I know. I was like, take my money. Yeah. Like,
my mom's house is like really hot. She's got one AC that like
hangs in the wall. It waslike a wall unit or something like that.

(09:26):
Yeah. Yeah, And old peoplerefuse to turn the AC on.
I'm like, Mom, I'm like, dude, it's eighty two in here,
You've got to turn your AC on. What are you doing. Yeah.
So you crank that thing up,you stand in front of it,
and you feel like, oh mygod, is Valhalla. I've made it.
This is it. It feels sogood. Love it, but be
careful and hopefully RAC is working fine. Better check it today in fact,
because this weekends can be really hot. We've got the Battle of Sex is

(09:50):
coming up eight six six five fourto four of My FM eight six six
five four four six nine three sixCall now. One celebrity says he refuse
us is to have a cell phone. He tried to limit it to two
hours a day, but now nocell phone whatsoever. I'll tell you who
it is. But after traffic,if you've seen some photos or video of

(10:11):
ben Affleck out and about, youcan probably guess that his face looks like
he's not having a very good time. Well, he knows it, and
he says he's not really miserable ormad. He just doesn't like the attention
and he is a little bit shy. And he says people see him and
they're like, why is this dudealways mad? And he's like, well,
it's because someone has their camera inmy face. But he al said

(10:33):
it happens when he's at home andhis family will ask me if something's wrong,
just because of his facial expression. He's like, no, nothing's wrong.
I'm just listening to this thing. So it makes him stop and question
like does he have this face whereif he's not thinking about it, and
he you know, he's just sittingthere, he looks mad or miserable or
sex gravity. It's gravity, it'sresting blank face. As we get older,

(10:54):
sometimes our face, the smile linesand stuff, they'll just start sagging
down. And I'm sure he saidworked it over the years and everything,
but you know, as you getolder, just your face kind of goes
to gravity and people think that something'swrong, and he says he's he's not
that miserable all the time. Idon't get that. I don't get that
resting face for myself. Then ifyou guys get that, John, not
you yet, Jill, You're notthere yet. Probably no where people go

(11:16):
everything everything wrong? No, no, yeah, apparently I get it when
I when I get a haircut,they always tell me when I get a
haircut, every single time, thebarber is like, am I doing okay?
Like you really look upset? That'sthe one time and that you get
a hair fast? Why that is? Are you like relaxed? Are you
kind of checked out? Or feellike trying to not move? So I'm

(11:41):
just sitting here styled in okay, and I look at us right now.
I don't anything like you're getting ahaircut right now. Let's see that face?
Oh god, oh yeah, fromlike a normal face that you have
in here. It's not good,John, It's not good. I don't
mean that in a bad way. It's just because maybe you know what it
is. Everybody always sees you sohappy. So so when your mouth is

(12:03):
closed, which is very rare withyou, when your mouth is closed.
Well it doesn't look as good becausewe always see your teeth. You're always
smiling. Maybe that's what it is, because if I laugh, I get
too animated in the chair there, and then they're gonna start cutting my neck
and then I'm going to injure tryingto say serious the whole thing. Yeah,
I gotta cut your neck. AndWoody Harrelson, he has starred in

(12:24):
The Hunger Games, Fills True DetectiveZombie Land. He is one of those
people that just does not have acell phone. He said he tried to
do it about two hours a day, but now he doesn't have a cell
phone whatsoever. And he says,I just don't like to have to be
readily available to any human being atany time. He says, I like
to be in touch with people, but I don't like the appendage on my

(12:46):
appendage. So he just does notlike to have a cell phone. Apparently
maybe he has somebody that takes careof his phone. He says he does
text sometimes, he does do phonecalls, but as far as like every
day to day, he is notcarrying a cell phone on him whatsoever.
I'm Jill. When they're intiven headlinesdude's got somebody that texts for him.
That's crazy. Should they hand himthe phone or you know, or something,

(13:07):
just holds his phone at the least. Yeah, i'd be nice.
Here hold this and now you've receiveda text. Now text back. We've
got the Battle of Sexes coming tobe able to play. It is eighty
six six five four to four ofmy fami. It'sa at Disney Prize,
isn't it chill? That's pretty cool? This sounds so cool. It's at
the Hollywood Bowl. It's Disney eightiesand nineties celebration in concert. And what
they're doing is they're taking all thegreat Disney songs and Pixar songs from the

(13:28):
movies we love in the eighties andnineties and playing them there at the Hollywood

(18:55):
in the Morning family, Chris's cardlesthow about that? Cool? Cool,
Thank you very much, thank you. We turned them around there. It
is coming up in three things theyneed to know. The Lakers have a
new head coach. Should we beexcited? Laker fans, are you excited?
Reach out? Let us know three, one oh four three. We'll
tell you all about that in justa few minutes. Seven nineteen. It

(19:15):
is Valentine in the Morning. Thisis one of four to three MAAFM.
One of the big stories obviously goinginto this weekend is the heat. It's
coming. We'll have a heat domeover southern California. It's pretty problematic.
A heat advisory in effect starting tomorrowin the Inland Empire, Orange County and
parts of La County. Many areaswill reach triple digits and the heat is
expected to last into next week.So June gloom gone. We're already into

(19:41):
July fry. What happened? What'sgoing on? Lakers have agreed to a
four year contract with JJ Reddick, making him the next team's head coach.
Reddick has zero previous coaching experience, but he played in the NBA for fifteen
years. There you go. Afterhis retirement, he joined ESPN as basketball
commentator. The Lakers last won achampionship in twenty twenty, but since then

(20:03):
they've struggled in the playoffs. Arewe happy with the hire of JJ Reddick.
Let's go around round the room forsome Laker fans, John, what
do you think? Yeah? Okay, thank you for the update. John
Brian to you, what do youthink about JJ Reddick? I wanted the
other guy, the college guy Hurley. Yup, Dan Hurley from Connecticut.
He said no, so JJ becameJJ. You know, we think that

(20:26):
he's second choice, but JJ wastalked about quite a bit even before Dan
Hurley's name was mentioned. So Iwould as JJ, and he has so
many millions in his pocket. Nowtake that as like not being second choice
like I was in the dance.I was there from the very beginning.
Joe, what are your thoughts?I'm gonna let his coaching do the talking.
I'm not going to form an opinionuntil I see him an action.

(20:47):
Think that's pretty good. That's prettygood. Way better, yeah, yeah,
way better answer than we all had. Right. Look, he's never
coached before, man, Babe.It is a my free ticket Friday,
we get a chance for to imaginedragons at the Hollywood Bowl that'd be coming
up at any moment. Get readyfor that. And what's your happy news?
Texting right now? Three one ohfour three? Let us know what's

(21:08):
making you smile? Three one ohfour three, hap befriend everyone, call
out with your happy news. Allright, let's go around the room.
John, what is your happy news? Brother? I'm going to a festival
tomorrow called day Trip in Long Beachand I'm pumped about it. Huh at
the Queen Mary is going to bethere. You're going to be there,

(21:30):
right? Okay? What type music? House music? Yeah, this is
like house music, but just alittle bit out of my normal d M
that I like. So this isa it's gonna be a new experience for
me. I've never been to thisfestival before, but I'm really excited.
Some friends of ours are doing ajoint bachelorette bachelor party and so they had
some extra tickets and invited my girlfriendand I to go. So we're talking
alone. So John, for thenovice, it may not know it.

(21:52):
I'm not talking about myself. I'mtalking about the other people out there.
House music and ed M music. Some people, that's just what's the difference,
They would be partially correct EDM isis the broader umbrella that just classifies
all electronic dance music and then housesa very specific genre within EDM. Those
are my thoughts too, Brian. What's your happy news? So? I

(22:15):
have three kids, and I tryto do something with just one of them
every once in a while. Some and Micah are gonna it's I told
him he could do whatever he wants. He wants to go to the Museum
of Illusions on Hollywood, which iscool. I don't know what it is.
He found it somehow, and uh, we're going into Hollywood to the
Museum of Illusions. So you dosomething with each kid every now and then,

(22:37):
and then other times you do thatwith all the kids, right,
correct, That's awesome, man.The best buddy hang out, best buddy
hangout is great? Good for youall right? Eight sixty six five four

(23:25):
What station is he to go?He's gonna be in Santa Ana?
Got it? Okay, gotcha?Tell him to watch out for the old
rookie dishwashing trick. What is it? Well, the rookies always washing the
plates, and they keep handing themplates and it's like sixty plates, seventy

(23:45):
plates. The plates just keep coming. They've got a little trick they do,
and the rookie is like, dude, there's like twelve guys in the
house. What is all these plates? Man? Oh, it's a classic
rookie prank they play on man.How do you know this? Well?
As a police officer, sometimes you'dsee other things happening and you'd have some
talks with other firefighters and about pranksand stuff they'd do at their house and

(24:07):
what you might do at the station. We had some pranks and the police
department we pulled too. Well, that's for another day. Robin. Are

FM swifties love a challenge. I'lltell you about the new eleven week challenge
on TikTok concerning Taylor Swift. Comingup next, Taylor Swift fans can now
collect Taylor Swift fans can now collectdigital friendship beads on TikTok. So TikTok

(27:32):
has done these little challenges before, but now it's for Taylor Swift fans and
the task this week is the TorturedPoets Department. So what it is is
you search ts on TikTok and it'llcome up like a little banner at the
top of TikTok. And what youdo is basically these little tasks and if
you finish all of the tasks onTikTok, you get a friendship bracelet bead.

(27:53):
So the tasks right now is followTaylor Swift on TikTok, you follow
Taylor Nation on TikTok. There's acouple different tasks. Once they're all completed,
you get the Tortured Poet Department's beadand then like a real one in
real life, well, a digitalbid on TikTok and like special profile frames
for your TikTok profile. But it'sgoing to be eleven weeks of this with

(28:15):
different tasks every week because Taylor Swifthas eleven albums. But once all the
tasks was completed, after then ofthe week, you're gonna have all the
beads to make a digital friendship braceletontape. Okay, I do like the
personalizing the profile aspect, yes, kind of like giving MySpace a little bit.
It's kind of cool you can customizeyour profile. That's cool. Disney
did this before where you had tocollect like all of these almost like trading

(28:37):
cards on TikTok, and my goshif you I was like, I needed
a Mickey one week and I putit on my Instagram store was like,
if anybody has a Mickey, yougotta let me know. And all you
got was a frame for your TikTokpicture. Oh my gosh, I want
it. It's so crazy. Okay, So question just for somebody like me,
Yes, how do I get this? If I'm not on TikTok?

(29:00):
You gotta be on TikTok. That'sit. That was funny because I was
was obvious. It was I wasmaking a bad joke. Oh like it
fell flat, you know, likewhen we get this not on TikTok,
I ask it again. We're readynow? Uh no, because they can
do a fake laugh. Nobody likesfake laugh. No, morning shows that

I go. Joke question for you. Yeah, how do I get this?
If I'm not on TikTok? Yougotta have TikTok that's exactly what you
just did before. Yeah, no, I did. Now I was part
of the joke. There was asubtle like and that's that's not a fake

(29:45):
laugh, No, that was real. That was that was having a good
time with that. I'm gonna moveon. I'm sorry. Oscar Nominee.
Austin Butler. He starred in ElvisDune Part two and Masters of the Air.
He was so starstruck by Ryan Goslinghe couldn't even say hello. He
said he didn't expect to see him, but he saw him outside of a

(30:06):
hotel that he was staying at andhe just had to go into another door.
He's like, I couldn't even sayhello because I grew up admiring him
so much. And he was onthe Today Show telling this story and they
reminded him, well, you're astar as well, and he said,
I know, but that doesn't feelreal. So stars they're just like us.
I'm jill with their in tivid headlines. Do we know if he's lost

(30:26):
the Elvis accent yet? Because itbecame so much a part of him.
You know, it's definitely better whenI've seen him in interviews. He doesn't
did when he was you know, promoting Elvis. Like when he did Elvis,
he did a great job, andthen he did Masters of the Air
after that, and he was stilldoing Elvis. He's like, I've got
ale like a fly a fly Forgers, I go go over there and go
bomb Germany. Let's go, let'sgo get in the plane. It was

in the studio with a guitar. There's no clarification. All we got was
no clarification. But we do havea photo of LUs Capaldi, somebody that
we absolutely love, fantastic artist ina studio with a guitar. That's all

(49:53):
we know. We're seeing that photo. It's got to mean something, right,
It's got to mean something he'sa right, he's getting it. He posted

We can't rent a hotel, roomstoo expensive, whatever. Go sit in
your car. Your car has AC, go turn it on if it's a
necessary thing. Or go to acooling center. A lot of cities do
have cooling centers for events like thisas well. But last ditch effort in
the car, or you know,go to a mall. Maybe go to

(51:44):
the curtains pulled, at your housekind of think like, uh, we
don't want the world to see whatwe're doing. But what you're doing is
keeping your house cool. You're notdoing anything shady. You're probably a good
person as far as I know. But then what do I know? But
keep those shades pulled. I don'tknow these people. Some people listen to
our show, Jill, most verydecent people, but there's probably a shady
person that listens. There's got tobe just you know, a few.

(52:06):
But maybe they commit good crimes. And what's a good crime, like robin
Hood? What are they robin Hood? Yeah, they still from the rich,
give to the poor. There's gotto be a good reason if our
listeners commit crimes. You think so, John, I'd like to believe him.
Okay, all right, well thankyou for that, John, What
you're good crimes? What's in yourhouse with the shades closed? Is your

(52:29):
business? Okay? All right?Speaking of shades being closed, they're closed
at John's house as well, inone of his rooms because we're trying to
keep the heat out as well. That room is empty right now. That
room is empty and needs a roommate, and John is looking actively for a
roommate to join his cast of merrymen. They are merry men. We've
also kicked on the AC, sothat electric bill is going to start going

(52:49):
up, and we would love tosplit that some more. Right. They
do not like paying for that roomthat nobody's renting. Oh, they do
not like paying for an extra AC. They have a pool. They have
a pool, a pet dog,a dog, two of them, two
dogs. Two dogs. Just showedup. Our new roommate that moved in
brought his husky with him. Wegot an Australian shepherd and the husky in

(53:09):
there. Okay, was working out. We got two room bus and they're
on always all the time. Alot of shedding. Who's in charge of
picking up in the backyard? Maybethe dog owners? Yeah, they take
they take shifts each week. John, We knew they did that, but
you don't have to say it.Get that room going, No, be

(53:32):
careful that roomba. One time thathappened at our house. I have never
been. My wife told me,don't even talk about this on the air.
So I'm gonna get Trump do thisold house a room ba One of
the dogs had taken a little accidentin the house and the room but went
on and it dragged it across thekitchen floor around the door. At that
