Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the Valentine in the Morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Replay Welcome to the breakfast table a Valentine in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
I laughed heartily.

Speaker 4 (00:06):
Oh I help, it's respectful to say I love you.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
The full show podcast starts right now.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Oh dear lord, I'm worn out, one of four to three,
my Famit's Valentine in the Morning. I just spent the
past two hours downstairs a KFI anchoring some segments down
there KF. I am six forty. We're seeing leading talk radio,
and I'm exhausted. Oh my god, those guys talk a lot.

(00:37):
My mouth is tired.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Yeah, they don't break.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Did you listen.

Speaker 6 (00:40):
I listened for your entire four o'clock hour. Am I driving?

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Holy? I was like, my you won't shut up. You're
like that guy will not shut up this.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
M our station very much.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
We're just having fun. Yeah, and you know, obviously it's
really important. One KFI doesn't I. I was so blessed
and happy to do it. Honestly, I'd rather not do
it at three in the morning. But these wins are
going to be very problematic today. So it was good
to help people stay informed and all their anchors and
stuff have been working so much and I think they
just needed a break for even two hours, even two

(01:13):
hours for somebody else to come in and kind of
pick up the load a little bit and help out.
Because when your news talk station like that, obviously you're
on top of everything and you're trying to bring people
the news about the fires, evacuations, having public information officers on,
talking to callers, you know, doing all that is a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
So sometimes somebody needs a break.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
And if it was two hours and I got to
bed at one thirty this morning, didn't sleep at all
last night, though, Oh god.

Speaker 6 (01:37):
I bet do you want to take a little nap
right now, like sleep till six?

Speaker 4 (01:41):
You're looking pretty empty.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
It is. By the way, where's our producer?

Speaker 6 (01:45):
Yes, usually hear about this time.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I I'm here at three o'clock in the morning. Today,
I was here at two thirty this morning on KFI,
and our producers not even in the room yet.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
At five ten, I haven't heard.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Oh I'm sorry, here she comes, Hello, missus Burton.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Said a great, I'm all talked out. I've got the
words left.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
That's what I knew was gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
And I haven't slept, slept all nice and I'm still
fighting this. I hope it didn't sound bad. This congestion
is just not making me feel sharp, you know, because
I'm still congested.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
It doesn't sound sick to me.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
No, I said to that right now, I sound so
shift was good.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
This shift is ruined.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
You were so.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
They said yesterday, come down the KFI and host from
three to five in the morning, which I just did now,
and back upstairs.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Brian's like, no, it's gonna ruin our show. It's all
over now, it's ruined.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Blah blah blah.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
I've never seen Brian that like he's mad.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
He was John Peak takes a senior vice president program.
He's yelling at.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Him, No, this is wrong, what about our show. You're
ruining our show.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
I will say about John Peak, he is okay with that.
Like if you're passionate about something and you kind of
get a little heated, he's always okay with that.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Like I appreciate he lets you yell at him what
we're saying a little bit.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Yeah, he'll let you take a run at him. He will.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
There was a couple of times I remember I said
something where he got and you saw his face. It
was not happy. I don't remember what that subject was.
It is probably coasting Christmas or something us every year
to play the problems that we play that say go
listen to them.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
I get mad at that. And here I am sharing
myself with everybody.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
You should take an oap. You should.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
No, I can't take it out. And by the way,
here's why I didn't sleep. To be honest, I was nervous.
I was because I love that radio station. You can't
find it unfamiliar grounds, right. This is what I do
up here, and it's a different pace, and it's not
as informative in certain respects because we're not a news
station where your friend on the radio just to be
here to do some laughs, have some fun, do some games,

(03:52):
but when necessary, be informative. We're not informative as much
as aar because there a news talk station. So a
little bit of nervousness there I'm fighting at, which I've
had for a couple of days.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
I'm not contagious. I'm all good, there, says the doctor.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
But last night, of course, my son has a soccer
game and a fire starts out venture. It's called the
Auto Fires all taken care of. They knocked it down.
God love him right. But so that fire pops up
and the watch dudy app I'm nervous about that.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I made my.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Family dinner and made him a nice thing of chili
when I got home yesterday, so it was ready for
them after the game. And Collin's got his game and
my wife goes with him, and that's like seven thirty
and she's texting me about the game. I'm like, Babe,
I'm going to bed. I think the rams are already
won you know, I'm going to bed. I gotta be
on KFI at three in the morning.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
You want to be prepared. You to get up at
what one thirty?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yes, I said, the alarm for like one ten or
something like that. Then Jill's texting me at seven fifty,
going are you in bed yet?

Speaker 7 (04:44):
I wanted to make sure he was asleep, and he
goes I was, I'm like, oh shoot, sorry, alarm.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Why would you like, why would you text somebody are
you asleep yet?

Speaker 7 (04:53):
Figured your phone might be on do not disturb? And
then it'll work the point of it, because if you
texted me back and said I'm not and beg I
was gonna call you and say get in bed right now, mom, Do.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
You have that on tape, by the way, he're saying,
getting bed right now, Yes, they do, Okay, thank you.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
We have that tape. Guys use that whatever you want.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
So anyway, so then Juelda's at and then my wife
then she texts me. She goes it's like one nothing.
They were winning their plane a Gora and then she
texts me, Colin just scored his first high school goal
and I missed it and I met everything. I knew
what's gonna happen. I knew it because it's junior year.
I knew it was going to happen, and I called

(05:33):
it and she got on video and I'm very proud
of him stuff.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
So then all right, I go to bed. I'm happy
about that.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
But then I want them to both be home because
there's that fire burning and then obviously the palisades and
windsor kicking up. So wait for my family to get home.
And I'm like, all right, they're not home yet. And
then to get the alert, my wife rolls in, but
Colin's driving himself. He's sixteen down. He drives, so she
gets home and I hear her come in.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
I'm like, all right, my wife is home. And then
I'm like, where's Colin?

Speaker 2 (06:02):
What's going on with him? And then I check his
spot on the Old Life three sixty. Well, he's at
Bjay's brew house. Excuse me, excuse me, win celebrating the win.
So he had gone out with all his buddies and
rightly so, I mean, he got his first goal there,
sited together first. He was their first like mire Monte
league game. So they got the win. So they're excited,

(06:23):
you know, So they go out. This kid rolls in
like eleven o'clock. I'm still awake because I can't, as
a dad turn off the dad mode. I want him
to be home because the winds are howling and they
might be really oppressive in your area right now. So
I want the kid to be almost at home yet
and waiting and waiting and waiting. He gets home like
eleven something, So thenay, I try and sleep, Like, all right,
the kid's home, the wife is home. Everything's fine at

(06:45):
my house in this moment right now. And he got
to win, he got a goal. It's all excited probably,
So I try and sleep and I realize I have
only two hours.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
The wow, that's the worst.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
And then I can't sleep and I tell myself, all right,
you've got one out gosh. And then I'm like, what
can I do? What can I do to make myself sleep?
Can I count sheep? Is there anything I can do
to fall asleep? At that point, you know, and.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
I texted him, you wait, Jo calls, it's time.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
For you to go to work.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
And so literally I did not sleep from when I
went to bed at seven forty five until I haven't
that's one. Then I got up at like one thirty
whatever it was too, a shower, you know, put some
clothes on. Came the KFI one on the air from
three to five, and then I hear him for you
from five to ten, and then the dream Center after that.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Yeah, it's a long day, dear Lord Firm.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
I remember Valentine as a fond radio personality Firm Firm.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
Well, it sounded good on KFI, and it was our
first KFI shout out.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I think I shouted out, yeah, I love the end
when you're like, listen to vote well, then also listened
to well and also.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
You could listen to also back and forth listen to
KFI and then Chris like, oh yes, just a k IF.
I'm like, what a val ten in the morning if
you're doing the Battle of Sex and seven and eight
o'clock if you want that, but mainly KF I.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
No.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Chris the Great he was a fantastic help down there too.
He's like the Big Boss.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
That was nice.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I mean, the Big Boss is sitting in at like
three o'clock helping me out with facts and stuff. You
don't see John Peak sitting at five o'clock here.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
No, no, no, he's fastest sleep.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
John Peak used to know he listened. John Peak used
to produce morning shows too, like used to do your job.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Guys named John.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Jay and Rich that's right, yeah, years ago and then
now look at him. Maybe that'll be you one day.
Where'd you find that sweatshirt? I've had this for ages,
but you'd never wear it because I always wear that.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
I know, well, this is not yours.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
No, I know by sizing it's not mine. But uh god,
that thing's old.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah, yeah, I like that one.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
I don't have one of those.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
I like that a lot, the same as mine, exact
same one.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
No, I don't think so. I don't have twin chords.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
You have pulled out one of your cords. Oh, I
pulled out one of my cords.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
You know you're there, records? Were you in the birthing
room of my sweatshirt?

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Myself? I remember the you We got those one all right?

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Fine? KFI am six forty more stimulating. Salk radio is,
oh god, the wrong one. What am I doing? Where
am I? How are you? Guys?

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Eight six six five four four My fam eight six
six five four four six nine three six. We'd love
to chat with you right now? Text in three one
oh four three as well. Y'all better run, y'all better
watch out, man, y'all better look out because I am
sharp as attack right now.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
I am warmed up, I'm caffinated.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I've been up and on the radio for two plus hours,
already downstairs a KFI, So now.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Now I'm ready to go. I will literally die.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
At seven probably, but uh yeah, oh my neck is hurt.
Though Valfe, knowing you're on KFI this morning, would have
ventured over. I'm up at two thirty. Valentine, you get
to sleep great tonight, foul You're an animal. Love it
que Chariots of Fire. Oh man, you missed tones first goal.
That's such a bummer.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Yeah I did.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
It's sick, but my wife was there when we got video,
and I'm still very proud of him. Uh, John, how
are you all right?

Speaker 5 (10:11):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Pretty good bout I save your voice for an hour?
Do you have some hot tea? I listened for an
hour and a half. You did great Valentine?

Speaker 6 (10:18):
Nice?

Speaker 5 (10:19):
All right? How about that?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
I did get a nice text from John Peak. I
want to read that's our boss, and this was about
my appearance on a KFI this morning. And he goes
at four sixteen this morning, John gets up and he goes, hey,
you see him right at home? My guys, sounds sick
and I got no sleep. You'd never know it. Sounding
good and some good guests. Your perspective provides peace of mind.

(10:45):
LA is threatened but not burning to the ground. You're
framing is fact based and reasonable, very helpful in what
people need. Bravo. I'm sure you'll be invited back. As
John ever said anything like that about this show, No, no, no.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
Not at all.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I think that's like the nicest compliment the guy ever gave.
But I think he's trying to kick me out the door.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
He does not give compliments, no, well, at least to you,
and I I think no, he compliments.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
The heck out of the two of them. That's not true. No,
he says to me all the time. John's the future
of radio, He's the future of media.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
He'd compliments you in front of me all the time.
Just you're not there.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Really, that's never been shared. Yeah, we share about your
compliments all the time.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
John pe Peaks a big like backdoor complimenter, you know
what I mean. He'll say nice things about back behind
your back.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, backdoor complimenter, John Peak. All right, see where you're
going there? Yeah, Jili, have you ever heard any compliments
about me from John Peak?

Speaker 6 (11:39):
I definitely have, really, I definitely have.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
I get sobody compliss about you behind your back? Really,
maybe he is a backdoor compliment That was the front door.
He's come around the front now.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Finally, I think he feels bad for making you work
twenty four hours a day.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
That's probably what it is.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
I'm ruining this show, right.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, this show is going to be really bad about
eight o'clock probably, Oh my god, how are the how
are the winds at your houses?

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Guys?

Speaker 5 (12:03):
They were picking up when I left where they're picking up? Yeah,
I'm slipping in the my kaf I mode.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Now, no, no, I was worried.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
This doctor General of the National Weather Service.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
We'd expect these winds continuing through Wednesday be very problematic.
We should have an on shore some moisture coming towards
us probably Thursday or Friday, and we don't really see
any rain and potential rain till the first week of February.
Oh gosh, I've got to take this aspt But yeah,
the winds they were howling. That didn't help last night
either because I was worried about my kid. And then

(12:33):
you know, there was that fire in Thousand Oaks. It
was called the Auto fire and it got to fifty
somewhat acres I think like that, but it's by golf
course that kind of helped. And it was in a
river basin, so they got that taken care of prey fast.
God loved them. These firefighters fantastic, All these first responders,
and I think first responders we say it kind of
as a catch all, but it really is just so
many people that do great work that are the helpers

(12:57):
that you know, we've talked about before and you've seen
that mister.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
Video think Righty's his quote.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
He talks about the helpers. They're out there. You know,
it's not just the firefighters and the guys up in
the aircraft and stuff, But think about the person who's
back of that hangar that's in charge of making sure
that helicopter flies, the avionics guys, the aviation mechanics, all
those guys, the people there to make sure they're fueled
up ready to go, The guys that are in charge

(13:23):
of making sure that fire retardant gets into those big
C one thirties and stuff. All those folks are helpers
in making a difference in this huge battle. The folks
that are serving the food, the folks that are taking
care of the vacuees. There's so many people that, in
my eyes, can be called the first responder. It doesn't
always necessarily mean you put your life in immediate danger.
Those people are special and deserve all our gratitude. But

(13:44):
there's so many first responders out there, and they come
in all different shapes and sizes.

Speaker 7 (13:48):
You know, I'm just so proud how everybody has really
stepped up from businesses to just like the normal everyday person.
Like I've seen videos of the Dream Center of the
Santa Anita Mal.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
You know, are you okay up there?

Speaker 2 (14:00):
I need a god dang scissors. They made this thing
so child this tile? What is I mean, what is this?

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Is this?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Like did they think a bab boon's gonna tear this out?
Why is it so hard to get into? Thank you, John,
I'm trying to take a tilent because no, I have
a headache. But yes, you're right.

Speaker 7 (14:16):
Is everybody just doing their part and everybodys stepping up
and you know, volunteering and donating and offering you know,
their services for free. I even saw just this little
small shop that was doing digital prints, like drawing out
these digital prints for free.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
Oh I saw you post that.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
Yeah, and all proceeds yeah, bucks, that's what it was,
and all proceeds going to the victims of the fire.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
I'm like, like, everybody stepping up. I love it.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
This darn thing is made out of the same material
they make a black box at them? Why do they
make these laser like single serving tiletolls and they're so
hard to open?

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Oh for babies, probably I don't have this what so
little kids don't get them and so they are hard
to open and do that on purpose.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Nobody's passing out single serving tilet all at home. These
are just workplace type things.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Yeah, well baby, if you times are in the workplace.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
There's no baby.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
I'm telling you that the word place or a bar.
I think that's why it's hard to open.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
All right, Well got a point.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
No he doesn't be No, it's not this is not child,
Well it's working. This is just you needs sign That's
what it is. Stupid stupid design a.

Speaker 5 (15:21):
Yeah, it's gonna be long tapped out. I'm like, all done.
What are you guys doing?

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Eight six six by four four my FM eight six
six five four four six nine three six uh afl
Why were you on KF I just helping out. Hey,
I had a hot mom. All right, that's a weird text.
Thank you for that though, good stuff. Not sure what
that's all about. Three one o four three is our

(15:49):
text line three one o four three. The wins will
be problematic today, but we'll keep you informed of that
as well.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
In the morning, Yes, listen anywhere with the I heart
right app one a.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Fourth three my bam, it is Valentine in the morning,
five thirty seven. Good morning, Thank you for turning our
show on today, Brian. Uh you gave me mite all
instead of tail and all. I don't think this is
mighty all. Yes, we're all very sleepy.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
Does that?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Will that mean anything to me? Miteyl do I what
is that for? Like a woman's it's for later, that's.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
For your cramps, it's for your bloating.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
It's grabbed it out of the emergency hit over there.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
I was rushing.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
No, I appreciate it, but I took it. So I
don't know. Does it have anything that's it works?

Speaker 6 (16:34):
Wonders for me?

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Does it is it got like my cramps, like I
have your profonate or something like that. What's I don't know?

Speaker 6 (16:40):
Honestly, I don't know what's in it.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
Hmm my boobs are growing.

Speaker 6 (16:48):
Definitely, do not make your boobs grow.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Listen. We don't know.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
It's a pain killer.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
So there you go. We're fine.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
Yeah, you're good.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
I was different on the airk this time, well different A.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Just woke up from my dreamt.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
To lady gang rude Mars die with a smile. Five
point forty two. It is one of four to three MIFM.
This is Valentine in the morning. Winds were howling last night,
banging on the house. Tree was banging in the house.
So it's gonna be bad today, and the winds will
pick up today around noon, around midday. Then they kind
of died down at night, then they pick up again tomorrow.
So we're getting these heavy winds that can be problematic

(17:28):
for the fires through Wednesday evening, I believe.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
So we have to be careful of that.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
They've got, you know, all the guys out there in
the right spots, all the men and women fighting these fires,
a lot of them prepositioned in the areas they thought
they need them. They've got the tankers out there, the
engines out there, the hand crews out there. They've got
a lot of people in the right spots. They will
fly if they can safely. They will do all that.
We're just gonna do our part and be ready to
go if anything happens, if embers blow up, or if
there's a fire in your area, pay attention to the

(17:56):
watch Duty app and that god awful noise or phones.
Haven't heard that a couple of days, maybe three days.
It feels good in that respect, doesn't it. Yeah, you know,
And then of course we also want you to help
out with the Dream Center. I think we're going down
there today.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
We are, Yes, we'll be there at eleven.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
We're planning to all of us are planning to go.
One of us might not make it.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
That's understandable.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
If that person passes out on the console at any moment,
they might be airlifted out of here. You know, it's
so funny. I'm so tired, I'm so exhausted. It's my
birthday yesterday too. And these guys, these ladies that are
fighting the fires, they're on for forty eight hours when
the things started, and now they're commonly on for twenty

(18:40):
four hours, working for twenty four hours. I know you
listen to our showing toga, you guess work five and
you complain. Yeah, and we don't do anything. We're playing music,
can play games. We are not fighting fires doing any
of that stuff. You know, you guys should be ashamed
of yourself, honestly, a bunch of whiners. All I'm working

(19:01):
two jobs. I'm not working OKAYFI or work here. I'm
all over the place. It's crazy, so down the dream center.

Speaker 5 (19:08):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
If you want to donate and help out one of
four three mile from dot comp slash, donate a lot
of details right there.

Speaker 7 (19:13):
Yeah, their donation asks, the requests are changing every day
because they are getting so much.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Stuff, which is so great.

Speaker 7 (19:20):
So make sure you're checking one O four three MIFM
dot com slash donate to see what they need.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
If you can volunteer, if you need something yourself, there available. Yeah,
one O four three MIFM dot com slash donate.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
And don't don't take this opportunity just to clean out
junk in your house. Don't be doing that. It's you know,
it's got to be things that are worthwhile for somebody, Okay.
And then also keep in mind, this is not the
last we're gonna need it. I mean the recovery period
to rebuild the Palisades, rebuild the eat fire area, to
rebuild these areas, it's gonna take a bit of time.
I mean, you've got to come into permits alone, and

(19:51):
all those things come into play, but you've got to
come in and get to clear out that area.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
You've got to bring in all the.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Utilities and stuff to make sure the gas lines are
taking care of the electrical lines, of water of lines,
there's no drink warnings in certain areas.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's going to be a process.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
So we have to be able to support these people
and support our neighbors and be there for them, even
when it seems like it's gone on for a while.
So keep that in mind. Rams winning Last night, I said,
did you watch the game?

Speaker 4 (20:16):
I did?

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Man, their defense looked ridiculous, the great they got nine sacks.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
They were fired up. It looks amazing. Did you like
Rachel Platten doing the national anthem?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Okay, no, it's asking what what's the faces the show?

Speaker 1 (20:31):
No?

Speaker 2 (20:31):
I know, it's just asking hmmm, No, because I should
fight song too.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
I was just asking, Okay, what did you watch it?

Speaker 7 (20:41):
No?

Speaker 6 (20:41):
I didn't watch did you watch it?

Speaker 4 (20:42):
I watched it.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
What did you think?

Speaker 4 (20:44):
I thought it was good?

Speaker 5 (20:46):
What?

Speaker 3 (20:47):
It was good?

Speaker 4 (20:47):
It was good? Wasn't the best you ever heard? Absolutely?
It was good? Like, don't get me wrong. I was.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
It's not bad.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Are there bad reviews?

Speaker 4 (20:59):
Something missing exactly that I've seen?

Speaker 5 (21:01):
My wife? Oh here what?

Speaker 7 (21:04):
No?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
She was just saying that fight song came out better
than the national anthem. I guess I don't know.

Speaker 7 (21:11):
Oh, I would say that's yes because.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
It's her song. I don't know why you're leaning into
this like it's something else.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
There's something else going on.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
There's nothing else going on. You're the one that's going,
Oh my god a bad reviews. What's happening without Rachel?

Speaker 6 (21:25):
Hm?

Speaker 3 (21:26):
What happened to you singing the national anthem at like
a Dodgers game or something?

Speaker 4 (21:30):
Wasn't that?

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Was that you that was supposed to do that?

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Yeah, we were trying to make that happen. Well, like
we sent audio to Dave, so you're singing it right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (21:38):
No, I don't. I don't have the vocal.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Dave works at her sports station and he's in charge
of a lot of stuff, you know, marketing and stuff
with the Dodgers, so he was going to reach out
to the Dodgers to have you sing the national anthem.
I think it was going to be like a spring
training game, though, honestly, I can't have.

Speaker 7 (21:54):
My first national anthem be at a Dodger game. We
got to start spring training much smaller.

Speaker 5 (21:59):
Little league.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Haven't you done it on the air before?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Yeah, that's where we got the audio. We Yeah, you
sang the.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
Entire national anthem on the air.

Speaker 6 (22:06):
Entire thing.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Why did we let you do that? I remember that.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Guys let me do a lot of things, you know.
I don't know why. I don't know why that started.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Yeah, I don't remember. I remember we like let her
go just the first couple of stanzas and then we
just let her take it all the way home.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Was there music behind her? There was it acapella.

Speaker 7 (22:21):
I feel like there was music behind Houston's favorite rendition
he was trying to sing along to that.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Was it the day of the MLB All Star Game
when we heard it?

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Really?

Speaker 5 (22:33):
Maybe? Maybe? Or maybe it was during COVID and nobody
cared what you did on the air.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
During COVID, Yes, because like during COVID we can get
away with that, because it was like people are like,
oh my god, it's just nice that you're there. You know,
I know, you're doing the dumbest stuff I've ever heard
of the entire world. And you got some girls singing
the national anthem at like six thirty for no apparent reason.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
It was prime prime time sing in prime time.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
It was like right with everybody was awake.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
Does anybody remember that?

Speaker 3 (23:00):
In three?

Speaker 2 (23:00):
One four three? Like, why would we were doing that?
Just e can get a job with the Dodgers or
sing for them or something.

Speaker 7 (23:05):
I don't know why it started, but I remember my
husband and I were dating at the time.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
Were we apologizing for something that would let you do that.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
No, you guys were all about it. Everybody was in
on it. I mean I was.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
National anthem. It's a lot, you know, we really just
do it.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Wow, huh, you didn't just survive like an MS attack
or something it felt bad or anything.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Now, maybe that could be.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Maybe you just got out the hospitals. Ever, we're like,
oh my gosh, it's back for the hospital.

Speaker 7 (23:30):
Oh sing the national lanthem to celebrate that, Like there
was something that I would never just do.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
It on my own. Something happened that made me start
to sing it other songs sure, national Anthem. I don't
know what made me start to sing it.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
And we let you do it.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
Don't me do it again? Right now?

Speaker 4 (23:48):
I can't do it?

Speaker 5 (23:49):
What tell you? What give me?

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Like you've got like the first like six seconds? Can
you get me in six seconds? Will I be interested
in six? Can still let you keep going? I'm gonna
have around. Yes, I'm spinning my chair around.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
We have any instrumental like any like.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
The lights are low, we're spinning your chairs around. And
I guess if we're interested in it, we like it.
We say your name and bang the content feel no,
we will, So you gotta be like John, you're Bryant, okay,
and that's who takes her. Okay, By the way, didn't
let me do any of this, so I don't know
what I was five and k I today and they
didn't let me do any of this stuff. And I
had all this stuff ready to go, all these great

(24:31):
jokes ready to go.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
None of that stuff, all right? So alright, well turn around.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
Jo oh say can you see bye the john Zo?
What's so proudly at the twice lights? Lest you know?

Speaker 7 (24:58):
It really messes with you with no what's turning around?

Speaker 4 (25:03):
It really can't just say it's really clean. I'm like
looking for some flair though, Okay, I want some gill
in there.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
Through the bless fine.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
One of the judges.

Speaker 7 (25:24):
Here you goes, here he goes Christina cir.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Get off the stage on the road.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Its red.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Oh good stuff, much better that first was it?

Speaker 4 (25:37):
Really?

Speaker 10 (25:37):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Okay? Well, nice John. I can't understand why the Dodgers
haven't hired.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Let's gone now. Three my f m.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
One of four, three, my fami.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
It is Valentine in the morning, five fifty six coming
up right after this song. We do have one thousand dollars.
It's called our one thousand dollars Philip contest. We've done
for a number of times and it's always great. And listen,
it's one thousand bucks. You can use that cash for
yourself if you need it right now. You can use
that cash to help out some friends that are in need.
It's a great opportunity to make a difference in somebody's life.

(26:13):
So we'll have that for you. Coming up right after
the Jonas Brothers do a little song called Sucker.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
We go together, Bitter and Bit.

Speaker 7 (26:24):
I'd say no, it's one a four to three MYFM
Valentine in the morning.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
We've got our thousand dollars Philip going on.

Speaker 7 (26:36):
We started it back up yesterday and there was some talk,
you know, behind the scenes, like is this right to
be doing Should we still be doing this right now
with everything going on? And we thought, you know, if
you could use the money, that's great. Maybe you want
to donate this money as well, you can do that.
But we'll be giving away one thousand dollars thirteen times
every weekday here on MYFM. You go to one four
three myfm dot com. You enter in that hour's.

Speaker 6 (26:57):
Keyword, you have a chance of winning one thousand dollars
and we can say the again right.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
No, oh, we can't, No, you can't, You're fired.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Yes again green gr n And that's good for like
fifty to fifty five minutes. Somebody texted you guys, remember
nods and vibron vibron sounds vaguely familiar notes. I do
remember that there were like little caffeine and pills a
lot of us took back in college to stay awake
and stuff like that. So Brian's afraid I may crash
because I did the shift on our sister radio station
from three to five, then came out here at five o'clock.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
He's afraid I to get a crash.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
No, you haven't slept all night.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
That was See if I'd slept, it might have been better.
But I just didn't sleep at all last night. It
was one of those nights where you just wide awake.
My kid wasn't home. I was worried about him. The winds.
It was another fire out in Thousand Oaks area, which
is under control. No worries about that, but so that
was why he was worried. People are now saying, no,
if I take no does, I'll be good to go
Back in the day, I would do a nose and

(27:54):
a couple of cans of mountain dew and who barber.

Speaker 6 (27:59):
It was a great Did you feel jittery at all?

Speaker 5 (28:02):
No? I didn't feel anything. My entire body shut down.
Uh No.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
That was like when I was doing a night show
in Dallas, and back then we thought we had to
be like high energy, crazy people and stuff like that,
so I do the nots. I'd start pounding mountain dews
sometimes a jolt cola, really bad stuff. Probably why we
had to do in vitro fertilization, to be honest, because
it probably messed up my swimmers.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Is that the rumor about mountain dew too?

Speaker 7 (28:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (28:27):
I know I heard that back in the day or
something like that.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
Swimmers. Yeah, does Jeff drink mountain dew?

Speaker 4 (28:33):
No?

Speaker 5 (28:33):
Thank god, you're all set then, every one straight.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
I used to love Code Red, just some of your shows,
like the demo, like you've played the clips of you
back in the day. Yeah, He's like, it's like bad,
it is so fast.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
I mean that was kind of the style.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
It'd be kind of like here's an example of be
like ninety fur you bust number one hit music station.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
It is Valentin. Here we go nine through one nine.
You guys want to get through a call right now? Woo,
let's up.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
That's honestly, it's like what was wrong with me? You know,
like that was the style back then. I guess when
people listened to it, But like why would you listen
to that?

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Why it took like a party?

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Yeah, you know, the energy is there, and I feel
like maybe like it was a younger audience then and
people wanted some energy.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
You know, dude, you would have loved it, I think,
so that's your He.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Would have been there, yeah right, get some M music
going on and stuff like that, and you would even
loved it like some of those clubs like back in
Boston and that stuff back in those days.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Oh my god, he would have thrived in those places.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
See I do. I think about that often that sometimes
I'm jealous that I just missed like that radio era
where like radio stations were out at clubs and going
out doing stuff at Friday night. Like if I could
intertwine my work in social world like that, it'd be
so cool.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
They still do.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
I mean I think like kiss down the Hall stuff
probably still has club appearances, right a little bit, yes, maybe.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Not, but not the same way. Like, you got to
like the people in this building who have been around
for a couple of decades. You talk to them about
some stories, and I'm like, there's no way.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Dude could go there and just I would get paid
like two hundred bucks to show up and just hang
out at this club and go on the microphone a
couple of times.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
These are the good old days.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Apparently they have limos sometimes not never get limits.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
But I get like two hundred bucks. What do you
make it a big face? Because I'm telling the story.
You didn't know the story.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
I'm not making a face. I swear that a face.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
The eyes are big, all right.

Speaker 6 (30:25):
Smiling at Laura when she walked in.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
But other than that, I was all right, yeah, okay,
so that's a face. So anyway, they give this money,
and there was this one place. It was so good, man,
it was the best life I ever led in that
world of being like a disc jockey that worked on
a top forty station and it was called and it
was called Aftershock here in uh it was like in

(30:47):
Studio City area, and they paid you to show up
and everything. I was like, oh my god, this is great.
And they didn't really want anything from me. They just
wanted me to talk about you know, obvious there just
to be there. I didn't have to do anything. The
guy was playing music. I just go up, Hey, what's
up by Balentine because I remember, give out a few
tickets whatever, And they always say were the best. They
always had dinner waiting for me.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
Oh nice.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah, they had dinner in the back room. They go,
we'll have dinner waiting for you, and nice stig dinner.
And you know, you come in there, this is no
particular accent, don't judge, and you know you just come in.
I'm gonna change it up. And if you have this,
dig dinner for you and see.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
You know, so whatever.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
And I hung out with the guys in the back
room and they just gave me the money name ate dinner.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
It was the best job every that's nice. Yeah that
didn't last long. That didn't last long. I can't figure
out why, but oh my god, it was the best.
It was the best. Yeah you missed those days.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
Here.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Everyone's got a story.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Yeah we did some weird stuff back then. Yeah, what
a contest called the exchange your clothes contest?

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Yeah already just no chance, right, you know.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
That was at the palace at a Hollywood and Vine
and I get people on stage. Maybe I shouldn't tell
these stories going in the past that limitations. Jojo would
get people on the stage. Jojoffer kids to do. We're
doing the exchange of clothes contest. It was his contest.
I had not to do it. Qush and people just
like exchange your clothes down to the underwear. Whoever did
the fastest won a prize.

Speaker 6 (32:07):
You were in your underwear in front of everybody, not.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
Me, the other the people didn't care.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Well.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Nowadays, half the time you walk around people wearing their underwear.
You ever go to zed in the park and see
what they're wearing? My god, Yeah, these kids now, I
tell you.

Speaker 9 (32:25):
From sedan's and SUV's to full sized trucks, experience the
incredible power and fuel efficiency with Toyota electrified racings.

Speaker 7 (32:33):
You need to know.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Right now, six nineteen, it is Valentine in the morning,
powerful winds once again hitting southern California.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
According to the National.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Weather Service, Gusts of seventy miles an hour possible in
some cities overnight, and a new breast fire broke out
Venturre account it's gone. Gave me a little heart attack.
Firefighters will quickly stop forward progress. It's being called the
Auto fire. It's burned about fifty six acres, wind advisories,
high wind warnings, red flag warnings, and a place through
tomorrow night for most of southern California's just be prepared. Yesterday,

(33:01):
the Rams took on the Vikings in a wildcard playoff
game that's moved from LA to Arizona due to the wildfires.
The Rams defense put on a dominant performance, sacking Vikings
quarterbacks Sam Darnold nine times, which ties and NFL playoff record,
ultimately LA one twenty seven to nine. Up next, they
faced the Eagles Boom on Sunday. So congrats Rams fans

(33:22):
and the pressers afterwards, when they're all talking about they're like,
you know what, we had to win this one for LA.
We had to win this for southern California.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
John, what's trending?

Speaker 4 (33:29):
So the twenty twenty five Grammys are set to take
place in LA this year despite all the wildfires. The
show scheduled for February seconds, and this year's show will
carry the purpose of raising additional funds to support the
wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery of the first responders.
So the Grammys are still on February second. I' John Kamuchi.
That's what's trending on socials.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
If you guys like to reach out three to one
oh four to three, you can call us eight sixty

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Let's go with your idea, always come with your you
thought my idea was better. I don't even know what
you said.

Speaker 6 (34:28):
What was your idea of about?

Speaker 3 (34:30):
What? It was?

Speaker 5 (34:31):
Sill? No? What you talking about that?

Speaker 4 (34:33):
It smells like poop in here?

Speaker 5 (34:35):
No, why would you say that?

Speaker 6 (34:37):
I don't think you gave us your idea.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
I gave you my idea one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Gave you my idea one hundred percent when I said again,
you know, I gave you my idea.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
Anyway, let me check my shoes.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Oh, I know what this is.

Speaker 5 (34:49):
Check my shoe. Anything on my shoe? Pop?

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Good?

Speaker 5 (34:52):
Good?

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Good?

Speaker 5 (34:53):
What about the shoe poop? Prie, did you have one
of your kids poop in your bag?

Speaker 3 (34:57):
That is totally possible? Said they could be pranking me
by the old back, I know what his idea was
to help.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
It can't be me. I mean, I know I got older.

Speaker 6 (35:11):
Yesterday, but I don't smell it over here.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
I don't either.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
It's just I get a whaff every now and then coffee.
I don't I don't know. No, it's Starbucks coffee. It
doesn't smell like a little hope not you know, sometimes
it feels like meat loaf or stew. But I won't
do who that's anyway.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
I had a thought and I almost did it in
KFI this morning, And I know it's ridiculous, but I
got up this morning and there's something in my house
that I adore.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
It's a bidet.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
From Toto and like, my kid's probably not going to
college because I purchased it, and that's fine. And I thought,
this is what I was telling you, this is what
I forgot about. Uh, it could be such a ridiculous
use of funds. But I would call the Toto people, right,
the people that make bidays. If you don't know the
day is, you use it for the first time Japan

(36:10):
right loved it.

Speaker 6 (36:11):
Every single toilet was a day in Japan.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
It sprays water at you, it plays music.

Speaker 5 (36:19):
Music.

Speaker 7 (36:19):
I didn't know that, like sometimes like ocean waves would
be crashing almost music, Like every single toilet was a day.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
It would little hands reach up and crazy.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
You we missed it, Like we need to get this
time from college that he gets everyone for their birthday
of the day. He's known Stop is the beday guy,
the day guy. I love that guy to my birthday
for the last three years.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
He's the best guy.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
He's always busy that week because it's no you've got
no day. You'll love the day I'm trying to get.
You'll love them the day. They're so great.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Anyway, I thought this is stupid, But because we're going
to use the funds, we'll have the Toto people do it.
What if we like got every fire STIs Southern California
by day?

Speaker 5 (36:58):
Is that bad?

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Well, no, it's a nice thought.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
No, there's other stuff to do.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
I'm thinking.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
When people always go no, so you should do something else.
You can do things at the same time. You can multitask.
In this world they talk about, you know, trying to
figure out what's happening with all these fires and everything
and how they were caused, and people, some people say,
now is not the time to talk about the politics.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
Now is that time?

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
You can do things at the same time. You can multitask.
Things can be done at the same moment in time.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Maybe that should be like idea number twenty or something
that we come.

Speaker 6 (37:33):
Up five it due.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
I thought about this at like three in the morning,
so I was on KFI and it just kind of
came to me. I didn't say it over there, so
they're free.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Saved it for us.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
I saved it for you, as you should you saying, Jim.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
Sorry, Toto has the bidets, why not if they have
the right and they want to donate them to the firehousees.

Speaker 6 (37:51):
Why not.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
It's just like donating something that's all. Okay, it's a
dumb idea. I know that, and it's it's not my
grand idea of thinking.

Speaker 6 (37:59):
So you feel that you feel so much better after
using one.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
I do, Yeah you did, Laura does. John wants one.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
I do want one. And I'm trying to think of
the point of view of the firefighters here who've just
been working tirelessly. It's less work on them if they
have a beday totally, dude.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
You know, you sit down and I thought, like, first off,
I assume a fire station has multiple stalls. So the
problem is we go, we don't have enough for everybody's stall, right,
so we put it in one and that becomes a
popular one, and then you know, you're like, you want
to go in. You're like, Gordon, are you done? Give
me a minute. Come on, man, you're hogging the midday.
I feel like that might be a bit of a problem,

(38:37):
but you know, it is what it is.

Speaker 5 (38:41):
What did you have? What did you want to talk about?
That's something better than that?

Speaker 3 (38:46):
No, no, no, nothing is better than that.

Speaker 6 (38:49):
But look at this top text. It just came in.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
I feel like, at least once a week, y'all talk
about that beday. Yeah, we do, guys, we do. I'm sorry,
We've got to. We've got to just do biday giveaways once.
We're never getting back to normal. So respects. But we will,
of course. Yeah, but once we're through this uh you know,
fire situation, and we have these fires out and stuff,
I think people would enjoy a beday. I mean it

(39:14):
seems like a kind of a silly giveaway, but maybe
we call it toto people. So the problem is, I've
already gone down the road so much here I can't
get off this street.

Speaker 5 (39:24):
No, I've trapped.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
I've trapped myself in this dumb conversation about beidays.

Speaker 5 (39:29):
This is now I'm gonna be known as Bidet.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
All right, I've ruined my life. I've just ruined six
twenty nine. It is one of four three mile FM.
It's Valentine. The morning we talked about the winds. We
need you to be very careful today. The winds will
be picking up probably by midday. We're gonna see winds
in areas that we haven't seen winds before. Venturre County
very susceptible to this. In stead a creative very susceptible
to this. And I believe out Riverside, Sambordy do know
places too in Orange County. You're gonna see some winds today.

(39:53):
You might not have seen this past wind experience of
ours that we're all having here, so keep that mind.
Red Flag mornings in place. The strongest winds do seem
to be starting around midday.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Text Valentine in the morning at three four three.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
All right, six thirty three, This is Valentine in the morning.
It is one o four to three in my FM.
Thank you guys for texting in this morning, three one
o four to three. Good morning to all of you.
The wind is blown pretty hard in Fontana. Yeah, let
us know where you are and how hard that wind
is blown with you a little check in there, and
if you're listening to the iHeartRadio app, thank you guys
for doing that as well. There are self installed days

(40:30):
you guys can put on any toilet.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
Yeah, yeah, no, those are okay.

Speaker 4 (40:35):
That's what I'm looking for.

Speaker 6 (40:36):
My sister has one of those, my sister Jenna and
her husband. It's like a poor man's It does the job.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
It's like a small man with a garden hose.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
That's what I want. I just want one that heats.
I'm too scared of the cold water. I don't think
I'll use it if it's too cold.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Hmmm.

Speaker 5 (40:49):
Yeah, the one I have that Laura and I have.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
She has the same one. You can change the temperature
of the water, see the intensity of the water, the
position of the water, and you know how you get
that At a garden hose. You get the nozzle and
it's got the jet stream. It's got the rain streams
and all that. It's like a showerhead, right, you can
do that. Yes, a fan with hot air and stuff.

(41:12):
You can change tep of that. It has the stream
for guys and for girls. There's a male part you
press that aims at the rear for a dude, and
then there's another part you press it aims for a
lady in the lady who okay, yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:27):
So do you just sit there with a remote control?

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Yeah, it's remote control, are you Uh? I just go
in there sometimes, just sit down and just enjoy myself
and the water. I mean, my gosh, dude, we should
give these things away. They're so great because it's like
it's like a sprinkler system.

Speaker 5 (41:50):
It's great.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
What did you have to talk about? Listen, I'm working
on those sleeps. So I can't be held accountable for
my idiocy right now.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
You are forgiven for everything. I just have these list
of things that I was planning to do over the
past week that I feel like, you know now, they're
too stupid.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
But was a question that not being appropriate due to
what's going on in the world.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
And I don't know, I don't know what a well one.
Jail thinks John Peak is hot. I don't want to
give up on that as a longer conversation.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
I think our boss is a handsome guy.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
People could call. You know, do you have you ever
worked with an attractive boss? What's that like?

Speaker 5 (42:25):
Et just found it quite a few of our bosses attractive.

Speaker 6 (42:28):
Male and female.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Tom Pullman right, Paul Corno correct? Who else that she
found attractive females?

Speaker 5 (42:36):
Kevin grd right? Who else is very pretty? Right?

Speaker 6 (42:41):
What was her name?

Speaker 5 (42:42):
Getting worked in around here? Just looking at you?

Speaker 6 (42:44):
Some good looking people here.

Speaker 5 (42:45):
Your eyes on the computer monitor.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
And then the other thing I had here was what
is your significant significant others say that gives you the ick?
And that's based on something Jail a story Jill told me.

Speaker 7 (42:57):
Yes, so Mary stein Version, who's married to Ted Danson.
She told a story recently that the first time that
they were passionate with each other, he said, gosh.

Speaker 6 (43:09):
A rooney. After it was all done.

Speaker 7 (43:12):
And she said, she I merely got the ick for
the very first time because they had this lovely but she.

Speaker 5 (43:18):
Went back for more. They're married, so the GOSHARONI didn't stop.

Speaker 4 (43:21):
Oh no, she I.

Speaker 6 (43:22):
Wonder if he still says it now, But gosh.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Rooney after their first passionate moment, Yes, yes, do you
remember what you said after your first passionate moment with Jeff?

Speaker 6 (43:33):
It wasn't Gosha Rooney. I don't know. I don't know
if I even said anything. Just probably marry me or something.

Speaker 5 (43:42):
Murmur, marry me.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Six thirty seven. He's one of four to three my FM.
He's Valentine in the Morning.

Speaker 6 (43:52):
Run Away with Me, I.

Speaker 5 (43:58):
One fourth three my fan.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
It is Valance Oe in the Morning six forty four.
Good morning to you. Good morning, Mary Kay.

Speaker 5 (44:05):
How are you doing this morning.

Speaker 10 (44:07):
I'm doing well, Valentine, how are you?

Speaker 2 (44:09):
I'm doing fantastic. I mean, I'm okay. Family's okay. My
son scored a goal in a soccer game last night,
so things are okay.

Speaker 10 (44:16):
And good morning to everybody else too. I love all
of you guys in the Morning. I love I love
your show, love your show. Yeah, so it was weird
and when I was listening to KFI yesterday. I went,
wait a minute, did I put on one O four three?
Or did I put on KFI for the news?

Speaker 9 (44:34):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (44:34):
You mean when you tuned into KFI today because I
was a three to five this morning.

Speaker 10 (44:38):
Yeah, I know. And I was like, I'm old so
but it was nice. I think what happened was I
woke up and I wanted to hear what was going on? Sure,
and I went, did CAF I come on or which station?

(44:59):
I went, it's right time? And I remember I heard
something about it yesterday.

Speaker 5 (45:04):
I think it was pro Tim Conway or somebody Tim Conway.

Speaker 10 (45:08):
I think it was Tim Conway. Yeah, the Rundown on
who was going to be on? Last night?

Speaker 11 (45:13):
I heard that.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
I was driving to the grocery store and they'd asked
me just to fill in on KFI this morning from
three to five. It's kind of help him out because
they've got a lot of people doing a lot with
the wildfires. And so I was driving down to Pavilions
with something. I hear Tim Conway Junior, come on and go.

Speaker 5 (45:26):
I'm Tim Conway, Janie.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
I'll bet whatever time and I'll be back here from
midnight to three and then Valentine's on from three to five,
and I'm like, oh my god, he said it on
the air. That's real, and it was real. I went
home to my wife's Really, I have to go in.
They're not going to find somebody else. It's gonna be me.

Speaker 6 (45:41):
Well, you did a good job. You talked a lot
more than what we do here, Like you're just.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
Shocking talking because it never stops talking here. He's always talking,
that Valentine.

Speaker 7 (45:52):
But you had to keep that conversation going and kept
like updating and.

Speaker 5 (45:55):
I got to tell you what I said sometimes sounds great.
Thank you for sweet you did.

Speaker 10 (46:00):
And I don't know how you guys do that. I
don't know how you get up so early. I mean
I get up early, you know, right, I wake up
around five every day or a little bit before. But
I was just like, how was he going to get
through the day? And I thought, he'll take home.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
I'm not taking that.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
I'm not going to get through day. I'm doing pharmaceuticals
right now. I've taken I took him mit all. I
thought I was taking it like a tilet all. But
Brian gave me mighty all.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
That's my fault.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
So I don't know what's going to happen to me.

Speaker 12 (46:24):
Well, I.

Speaker 10 (46:27):
You know, I never I never listened to the radio
in the middle of the night, So it was just
a mean or that when I woke up, yea and yeah,
so I thought, you guys are all doing such a
great job pulling together for the people in the Yeah,
I feel so bad for those people who have lost
their homes in their hats and all that, And I mean,
I know people are pulling together, but it's still when

(46:50):
you can go on the radio and keep a voice
as comforting as what you did yesterday. I'm sure it
resonated with a lot of people.

Speaker 6 (46:56):
That the time.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
Why you're sweet, Mary Kay, I'll tell you this, And
Mary Kay looks like you're in Braya where.

Speaker 5 (47:00):
You're calling from.

Speaker 6 (47:01):
Yah.

Speaker 10 (47:02):
Yeah, I'm a brea.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
I think every single one of us in southern California
has empathy. I think every single one of us probably
is a story to tell that we know somebody who
was so tragically affected. Many of our coworkers have been
tragically affected by these fires, and thirty plus families of
my son's school lost their homes in the Palisades, So
we all are part of this fabric of southern California.

(47:23):
We're all intertwined forever in this moment, and there's a
strength when you intertwine things. When you make a piece
of rope, it's not just one piece, it's the intertwining
of several pieces of rope. I could have said that
more poetically, but I didn't. But they're all strong.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
Excuse me, it's really good. He's laughing.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
But we're stronger because of being intertwined like that, you
know what I mean. I think we're stronger society community
because of that.

Speaker 5 (47:54):
Are you doing your dishes?

Speaker 3 (47:58):
No?

Speaker 2 (48:00):
No, I feel like I lost Brian on the rope
and I lost you.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Now you're doing dishes or something.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Coffee, you're pouring coffee. You bailed on my rope story.
It wasn't the best analogy, but I thought it was good.

Speaker 10 (48:13):
No, it wasn't. In fact, I was going to say,
I live in a condo complex and there's only seventy condos,
and it's amazing how our little community here has people
that had not been speaking. I've lived in this condo
for like fourteen years, and people that have not lived
here very long are suddenly getting to know their neighbors
that's good.

Speaker 5 (48:32):
Love that. That's good. That's good.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
Well, listen, have a great day. Mary Kay, thank you
so much for stop by. We appreciate you.

Speaker 10 (48:37):
Okay, have a great day, everybody. Thanks so much for
what you do.

Speaker 5 (48:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
Love one O four to three MYFM. Here's what's coming
up in entertainment headlines.

Speaker 7 (48:47):
We do break up breakdowns here on Valentine in the Morning,
and Drew Barrymore just shared a major breakup breakdown that happened.

Speaker 6 (48:55):
With one of her exes. I'll tell you what she said, traffick.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
What would you have said, whining inter mingling into it
was cross stitching? What would you say, Oh, cross stitching.
But a piece of rope is not made up of one.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
Let's say it's like a thread, right thread.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Yeah, it's many, many threads intertwined together.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
It was nice. I loved it, my fam.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
It is Valentine in the Morning. It is seven ten.
Poor John's all congested over here. But you say that's
just normal for you, John.

Speaker 4 (49:31):
Yeah, yeah, I just Aaron is great.

Speaker 5 (49:33):
Thank you appreciate.

Speaker 4 (49:35):
I got I got issues. Sometimes I just like enjoyed
the smell of things. I feel like I'm getting a
strong coffee sent over here.

Speaker 5 (49:41):
Okay, but why did you know it seems so runny
a second ago?

Speaker 4 (49:44):
I don't even talk about that's crystal clear? Baby?

Speaker 5 (49:46):
What is now?

Speaker 2 (49:47):
Because you snuff love against it all the way up
there back of your head.

Speaker 4 (49:51):
When I'm sick, like, that's the worst thing for me
is the sniffles, Like I get so congested that I
can't breathe out of my nose.

Speaker 5 (49:56):
So have you ever see an ant or anything?

Speaker 4 (49:58):
No, tell me I'm sick. Once I'm better, it's gone, huh.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
Okay, go like this. Take your thumb and put it
over the bottom of one nostril. Okay, take a breath, now,
switch nostrils. See if it changes anything.

Speaker 6 (50:12):
This is the little sound differ.

Speaker 4 (50:15):
You guys are really going into the US right. There's
a bugger in there?

Speaker 5 (50:21):
Did you?

Speaker 2 (50:21):
Oh God, John, did you? Are you noticing an air
flow difference between the two?

Speaker 4 (50:26):
I am in mind one of mine's at one hundred,
I would say, the others are like eighty five.

Speaker 5 (50:30):
Okay, what about you too?

Speaker 6 (50:31):
My right is nice and clean.

Speaker 5 (50:33):
Okay, I'm not asking what clean?

Speaker 6 (50:34):
The airflow?

Speaker 3 (50:36):
Clean?

Speaker 6 (50:36):
Right? Left clogged?

Speaker 2 (50:38):
Okay, Brad, try it with yours now, don't push you
cover the bottom like this with your thumb and you
don't have to be hard about it to see if
this an airflow difference.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
The e n T Okay, no difference.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Okay, you have a deviated septum and you have a
large nose.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
Oh yeah, thank you.

Speaker 5 (50:58):

Speaker 5 (52:42):
Never liked it. I never liked it.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Then they had shredded wheat where they put like something
on it, like a frosting or something like that. But
just that block of shredded wheat, it was like it
was no good. It's good for us, like wicker furniture.

Speaker 5 (54:40):
Coming up, Three things you need to know.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
The National Weather Service is warning of a particularly dangerous
situation today with these powerful, powerful wins. They should be
starting around noon, the really really heavy stuff. We'll fill
you a note coming up next.

Speaker 9 (54:53):
From Sedan's and Sulese to full size trucks experience the
incredible power and fuel efficiency with Toyota.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
What electrified raisings you need to know right now?

Speaker 2 (55:03):
So twenty it is Valentine in the morning. This is
one of four to three MIFM. The National Weather Service
describing the wind event we're going to be experienceding today as
particularly dangerous situation. It's a rare warning meant to get
our attention. It has due to the extreme wildfire risk
in southern California. The Palisades Fire and the eats And Fire,
along with several smallifiers, have burned a combined thirty nine

(55:26):
thousand acres in La County. Meanwhile, air quality remains poor
across many areas of southern California health officials are urging
people to take precautions like avoiding outdoor activity and wearing
an ninety five masks. It's been crazy, honestly. I follow
a lot of the air quality apps that are out
there and the South Coast air Quality Management District, and
this past weekend, like I was talking about earlier in KFI, today,

(55:49):
it seemed like parts of southern California were crisp, beautiful
blue skies without the problems of the air quality, and
so the best air quality we've seen in a long time.
Those winds, though Santa Annas can clear smoke out as
much as they can hold it down on top of us.
It's strange in that respect, but do pay attention to
the air quality in your area. Lakers bag at Crypto

and continuing till halftime. They'll be doing this again for
home games tomorrow and Friday, John, what's trending.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
Well, aside from the wildfire, It's one of the top
trending topics online right now, is TikTok itself. This could
very well be the last week of TikTok in America.
The US TikTok bands supposed to take effect January nineteenth.
A Supreme Court decision is currently pending on the appeal.
They could delay the band till after Trump takes office
and kick it down the road, or if upheld, that
will take place this Sunday, And it's kind of hard
to know what will immediately happen after that. Some say

(56:51):
TikTok might stop working very quickly after that band. So
I'm Johnkamuchi. That's what's trending on socials.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
What will you two?

Speaker 6 (57:04):
I'll be all right. So many social media is out there.

Speaker 3 (57:09):
You know, you thrive on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
You come every day and you tell us everything about TikTok.
You and Loura are TikTok dancing machine.

Speaker 7 (57:17):
I know. And there are so many funny people out
there and like so many videos that I relate to
that I can like. But there's between Instagram and X
and there's just so much that.

Speaker 5 (57:29):
Not on X Are you I'm not?

Speaker 6 (57:31):
I mean, I don't really what do you call it?
Do you even say I tweet?

Speaker 3 (57:35):
That's a good question. I was wondering at the other
day too.

Speaker 6 (57:37):
I haven't sent anything out. I'll go and look at
stuff I haven't sent.

Speaker 3 (57:41):
You say you send an? I sent an X A post? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (57:45):
Post?

Speaker 6 (57:46):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (57:47):
God, you guys, are you're so old? X I xed?

Speaker 6 (57:52):
Is that an age thing? We just don't know what
to call it.

Speaker 5 (57:56):
I I'm a big excer. I X every day.

Speaker 6 (57:59):
I loved TikTok. I'll be sad.

Speaker 5 (58:02):
Do I have a TikTok?

Speaker 6 (58:03):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (58:04):
I think I do?

Speaker 6 (58:05):
I feel like you do?

Speaker 5 (58:06):
I feel like it do too? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (58:08):
And I think I put one post up there one
time by like a sunset, and I'm so proud of myself.
I'm not a millionaire because of it though, so it
hasn't worked out for me.

Speaker 5 (58:17):
Will you miss it though? If it goes away TikTok,
I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (58:20):
We're going to have something that pops up again.

Speaker 4 (58:22):
I hope so, because I will miss it. I think
the community on TikTok is very different compared to any
other social media Okay, I think.

Speaker 5 (58:28):
There's serve about Elon Musk wanting to buy it or
something like that.

Speaker 4 (58:30):
Yeah, there are reports that that's not one hundred percent
gonna be viable. So we'll see.

Speaker 5 (58:34):
Because he already has a platform.

Speaker 4 (58:35):
Right A lot of people are stepping up saying they
may buy it, but I mean until it offers on
the table, who knows?

Speaker 5 (58:40):
Who knows? Okay, gotcha?

Speaker 2 (58:42):
Seven twenty three. It is one of four to three
my fem. This is Valentine in the morning, Tuesday, January fourteenth,
one of four three my fam It is valanced in
the morning. Most of LASC back in session today. A
lot of schools, obviously that are impacted directly by the

(59:03):
fire not back in session. And I don't know if
those kids are going to do remote learning. You know,
some of the kids don't have a home, so they
don't have a Wi Fi. You know, maybe the evac
center or Saint a friend's house or wherever they're at
or an airbnb might have Wi Fi.

Speaker 5 (59:17):
They could do it.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
Then you want to, I would assume, But I'm not
a parent who's going through this right now, so I
can't speak for you, but I assume you want to
try and have some semblance of normalcy if your child
assumes as possible.

Speaker 5 (59:31):
But then again, is that even possible?

Speaker 7 (59:33):
You know, I've been seeing a lot of videos of
parents dropping their kids off at school.

Speaker 6 (59:38):
Oh really, they lost their homes.

Speaker 7 (59:40):
Oh really, that has been their thing, Like we wanted
our child to be able to go to school, to
be with their friends, and so that that was they
at least they still had to school because a lot
of the schools and the Palisades aren't there anymore.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
Yeah, I'm sure some did survive, and I'm sure hopefully
that some of the Eating fires survived as as well.
All Right, seven twenty seven to eight is one of
four to three, My fab, it's Valance of the morning.

Speaker 5 (59:58):
Bryce.

Speaker 2 (59:58):
She coming up and who's this seeing work?

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
You're talking to Lindsay Horbek. She's the La County supervisor
that represents the area of the Pacific Palisades.

Speaker 5 (01:00:07):
Oh gotcha.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
Can we get somebody from the area for the Eating
fire as well? Absolutely, because it feels sometimes of people
for the Eating Fire that were affected there might feel
like they're not being talked about because we're talking so
much about the Palisades and we should be talking about
both of them. Obviously, the Palisades gets a bit more
national attention because of some celebrities that lost their homes there.
But a home is a home. A dinner table's at
dinner table, families of family, you A're all affected equally,

(01:00:30):
quite honestly, It's Valentine in the Morning three my FM
listen anywhere with the iHeartRadio APPE thirty two. It is
Valentine in the Morning. This is one of four to
three MYFM Weather Today tempts mostly in these sixties. Southern
California remains in critical fire danger, where a particularly dangerous
situation happening. They've issued that warning through noon tomorrow, when's

(01:00:51):
expected to be in the forty five to seventy mile
hour range forty three in Pasadena, fifty one in Newport Beach.
The winds will be incredibly problematic. They're not as bad
as what they were when the fires broke out, but
they're still not great. You know, if you made those
fires or heard Weather Service guys say this, if you
called those really really bad uh wins we just had.

(01:01:12):
If you called them at ten, these are nine, so
you're splitting hairs, it's not that much of a difference, honestly,
Jill does have some entertainment headlines coming up.

Speaker 7 (01:01:21):
If you're a fan of the show Severance, John, I
know you're watching it right now. There's talk about the
next season, season three. I'll see what they're saying coming
up at seven fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:01:30):
You're into that, Servince.

Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
Oh yeah, we just finished season one, the finale last night.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
And nobody else was watching The Way Home where they
jump into the pond. It's time, but it's very from
the Hallmark.

Speaker 6 (01:01:40):
No, it's good.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (01:01:42):
All right, fine, Lindsay, good morning.

Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
How are you?

Speaker 12 (01:01:46):
Good morning?

Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
Hey, thanks for calling it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
We really do appreciate this absolutely.

Speaker 12 (01:01:51):
Thanks for keeping everybody informed. It's the way people stay safe.

Speaker 5 (01:01:54):
Of course, this is Lindsay Horvath.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
She's an La County supervisor and she represents the third
District of La Canaan, which is an area that includes
the Pacific Palisades. So where are we today from your
standpoint as a supervisor, how are things looking?

Speaker 6 (01:02:10):
Well?

Speaker 12 (01:02:11):
You said it. We are not intuditions exactly as last week,
but they are serious and need to be treated as such.
We're continuing to hold all of our evacuation orders and
going forward we will keep people apprized if there are
new evacuation orders, and we need people to move if
that is the case. Otherwise, what we're really trying to

(01:02:34):
do is support those who are on the front lines.
We have more than fifteen thousand people stationed throughout Los
Angeles County right now on the front lines fighting these fires,
and we are grateful to each and every one of
them and to their families who are sharing them with
us and waiting for them to come home safely.

Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
You know, it's important to mention that, I'm glad you did.
I talked to a public information officer earlier today Jimmy
works for Relei County too, and we were discussing how
families are so impacted by this, the families and first responders.
You know, you're a firefighter, husband, wife, mom, dad, whoever
might go off and when these fires first started, they
were on the job for forty eight hours straight and

(01:03:12):
then after that a lot and switch to twenty four
hour shifts and you may not have contact with them
during that time. U let's get a cell signal pops up,
they get a break where they can call you or something,
and that's going to be incredibly stressful on the family unit.
From mom's dad's wives, you know, husbands, kids, kids see
their parents go off and fight the fires.

Speaker 12 (01:03:31):
Yes, it's incredibly difficult, and we are grateful. As I
said to the family members who are who are sharing
our first responders with us. We want to make sure
they get home safely, which is why people need to
heed those evacuation orders. I know there are people who
have been reported to want to stand and defend their home,
and I really can understand that on a personal level.

(01:03:56):
You then become somebody that our first responders are worried
about instead of fighting the fire because they want to
prioritize your life and your safety. So heating the evacuation
orders is so critically important in these next forty eight hours.

Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
You know, I was thinking too about the first responders,
so we consistently it's kind of a big blanket first responder.
It picks up firefighters, police officers, National Guard, everybody who's
pitching in, and then you start to think about other
people who may not be right there in the front line,
but they're pitching in so much. I mean, there's a
guy that's gassing up, fixing, doing all this stuff, for
those choppers, for the water tankers. There are people in

(01:04:32):
the background doing those avionics and aviation maintenance on those
things to make sure they're flying and filling them up
with that powder that they drop down and stuff. And
there are people providing meals to these first responders. There
are people doing so many things in the background that
we're unaware because it's just it's a big machine, isn't it.

Speaker 12 (01:04:49):
Yeah, Well, there are medical professionals out there keeping healthy
and safe. There are utility workers who are dealing with
gas lines and down our line, and they're out on
the front lines too, and in some of these areas
where there isn't service, their family members can't reach them either.
There are so many, as the unions would call them

(01:05:10):
rank and file members who are out there are just
doing the work that we need them to do, but
in extraordinarily dangerous conditions. And so my heart really goes
out to all of them and to their families. And
that's why we're just focused on keeping everybody safe.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
I hate to put you on spot for this.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
I'm not sure how much of this will fall into
your world, but do you have plans yourself and the
other supervisors to once we get past the stage here,
because right now we're in the treat stage right now.

Speaker 5 (01:05:40):
This is an emergency happening. When do we get past this?

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
Some people decide if they want to rebuild the Palisades,
and I think a lot of people do. Are we
going to be able to explanate permits, expedite zoning. Are
we going to try and move things along because this
could take years and years and years to rebuild.

Speaker 10 (01:05:56):
Yes.

Speaker 12 (01:05:56):
The governor has already issued executive orders as it relates
to rebuild. On the state legislation side, so things like
SIQUA that have typically been a challenge in terms of
timeline for rebuild, he's streamlining those requirements. I know he's
also working with Coastal Commission. We've heard from them. They

(01:06:17):
have said that if you're rebuilding what was there, that
you will be expedited. But we want to also make
sure that people who want to invest in home hardening,
that people who want to improve and address the twenty
first century realities that we're facing in our climate and
improve their structure, that they're able to do that too,

(01:06:39):
Because we don't want to just rebuild what was there,
we want to make it better. We are also looking
at that from the county side, how do we make
sure that at the ground level we have the infrastructure
for a twenty first century reality. And so we're talking
with our Public Works Department, La County Fire how do
we enhance the resources that we already have on the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
I think we have to be a way too, as
a lot of these people have left the area obviously,
oh watch out for that dog. You know, they've poured
out into communities that they may not have lived in before, obviously, right,
And we already had kind of a housing crisis here
in southern California.

Speaker 5 (01:07:13):
We have a bit of a housing crunch.

Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
There's not as many properties as people want, but not
everyone's gonna be put up in an airbnb. Not you
can't stay in an evacuations that are that's not a
tenable situation for people. So people are spreading out probably
across a little bit of southern California, and they will
of the next week or two trying to find some
sort of permanency. And I think that might be difficult

(01:07:35):
with the inventory that we might have for homes in
southern California.

Speaker 12 (01:07:40):
Well, we are working with the FEMA administrator on long
term housing solutions. Unfortunately, they have experience, whether it's in
the Southeast United States. The experience from the fires in
Hawaii that how they are able to work to house
people in a longer term situation. We know that partners
on platforms like Airbnb have been working to provide longer

(01:08:04):
term housing solutions as well, and we're also working to
ensure that these longer term housing solutions aren't price gouged.
You know, we've heard more story people who think they
found a housing solution and by the time they arrive
on site to see it, you know, they the proposed
prices tripled. This is illegal. The Attorney General and law

(01:08:26):
enforcement officials are working to ensure that we are protecting
people and not putting them in a further harm's way
and taking advantage of this crisis at their expense.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Were you frightened at all when day Hawkman turned to
the camera and said, we're gonna.

Speaker 12 (01:08:41):
Get you, Well, I think it's pretty serious. I think
making sure that people are not praying on people who
have already lost so much and in some cases nearly
all of their belongings, and the most catastrophic cases, you know,
we can't have people praying on this time of crisis.

Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
Now, that's despicable. Anybody who does stuff like that should
be locked up. The guy that dressed up as a
fireman was going on somebody's house should just be locked up.
And I heard, And let me ask you this real quick,
because I don't know if you've heard this. I might
have been anecdotal, so I'm not sure how much is
behind this. But a friend had told me that in
his gated community some people had been knocking me on
doors yelling fire, fire, you got to get out, and

(01:09:24):
then they went and robbed you after that. Is that
just a wives tale? Have you heard anything about that.

Speaker 12 (01:09:30):
I haven't heard a story like that, But I do
know that law enforcement officials are watching for all kinds
of scams and people who are taking advantage of this situation,
just as you said, dressing up and going using the
cover of what this crisis is to try and take it.
They're looking for all kinds of things that are out there.

(01:09:50):
And I just can't believe at a time like this
that that's who some people are choosing to be. But
I am heartened by the people who are stepping up.
So many donations, so manyvolunteer, so many people want to
help in this moment, and I believe that's who we
can be as a community, and I hope that's who
we choose to be going forward, because it's going to
take that sense of community to get us out of

(01:10:11):
this crisis.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
And then to that last thing you'll speak of here,
calhope dot org seems to be a wonderful website see
if people are in need of mental health assistance, because
somebody that are feeling the anxiouses of this. So many
of us are in different situations. You have some people
that were evacuated, some people not. Some people have been
without power for a week, and some people have lost everything.
But calhope dot org that's free, right if people go there.

Speaker 12 (01:10:34):
Yes, and the Department of Mental Health in Los Angeles
County is also offering those services. You can call eight
hundred eight five four seven seven seventy one, and those
services are tailored so they I want to specifically mention
our young people. I am heartbroken at what they are
experiencing right now. And the professionals when you call this

(01:10:54):
eight hundred number, they are specialized to be able to
talk with children as well. So if you have young
people who are really struggling through this crisis, please call
this number and make sure they have the support that
they need. There's resources for everyone, people of all ages,
but I'm especially worried about our young people right now.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Well, Supervisor Horrorvath, we appreciate you taking the time and
your family safe.

Speaker 5 (01:11:15):
You guys are okay, Yes.

Speaker 12 (01:11:17):
We're okay. Thank goodness. And I'm most mostly focused on
my constituents and making sure they have what they need
right now.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Well, I know they appreciate that. Thank you for taking
the time to call us. You appreciate it.

Speaker 12 (01:11:27):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:11:27):
Okay, be welcome.

Speaker 2 (01:11:39):

they're helping out in some way. Shout out to them

Find that microphone icon and send us a message and
if you mess up.

Speaker 6 (01:12:42):
You can start over, or you don't send us a
couple out?

Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Are you insinuating that I stumbled you on the air
since three a m. Today And she came right at me,
she goes, and if you mess up, no, because I
said one.

Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
Of the no we should record our show in the
talk back and that I.

Speaker 5 (01:13:01):
Just know Are you sure you look right at me?

Speaker 6 (01:13:03):
Because I always look at you when we're talking?

Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (01:13:06):
But I meant that as some people can get a

Speaker 6 (01:13:11):
It's fine. Even if you mess up, still send it.
We're good. Yeah, okay, I promise you. Look, I'm your
biggest supporter. You've been up all night.

Speaker 3 (01:13:18):

Speaker 7 (01:13:19):
You didn't get any sleep. You were on KFI this
morning giving updates before our show for two hours. Look, no,
I'm not going to call out call you out if
you mess up.

Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Seems like you spent a lot of time saying you
were going to call me out. That will protest too
much here.

Speaker 5 (01:13:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
So the free iHeartRadio app looked for one O four
to three MYFM, and then you can send us at
talk bout one O four to three MYFM.

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Here's what's coming up in entertainment headlines.

Speaker 7 (01:13:46):
There are some romance rumors in Hollywood right now between two.

Speaker 6 (01:13:50):
Actors, and I am so on board with this. I'll
tell you who it is enough to traffic one.

Speaker 1 (01:13:56):
O four to three my SM entertainment headlines.

Speaker 7 (01:14:01):
Ben Stiller is the executive producer of the show Severance,
and the new season season two is about to come out.
I believe it's not out yet, right, John Okay? He
says it comes out this weekend, so season.

Speaker 6 (01:14:14):
Three is already in the works.

Speaker 7 (01:14:17):
Executive producer Ben Stiller says, you have a responsibility to
the audience that you're going somewhere with a show. There's
always been a part of it for us really understanding
where it's heading to. This is something that has to
keep going as long as it's successful. He said, it
should go on as long as the story goes on,
and that's something we have an idea of and we're
working towards as we're starting up our season three work.

(01:14:39):
So there's still going to be another season after season two.
And there are romance rumors all the time in Hollywood,
but this one, I don't know. I keep seeing it
popping up everywhere. Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Kostner, so they're
both recently divorced. There were pictures of them in Aspen
together not too long ago, but now there's these rumors

(01:15:02):
and reports that there might be something here. One report
says Kevin Costner sent Jlo a huge bouquet of her
favorite flowers with a little handwritten note. After that they
had hung out and then that Jaylo loves how passionate
Kevin Costner is about making movies and Kevin Costner is
in awe.

Speaker 6 (01:15:21):
You know, it's just like this.

Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
So that's what some people are saying.

Speaker 6 (01:15:27):
These rumors. They're saying they're not rushing into anything.

Speaker 5 (01:15:30):
I heard different. What do you mean I heard he
already gave her a ring?

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
No you okay, make the face so you know what
type type of ring?

Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
It was a Yellowstone.

Speaker 6 (01:15:43):
Again. I'm Jill with her headlines and Valentine with the jokes.

Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
We don't even practice that. That's like live improv. People
go take classes for that.

Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
I preferee, you just enjoy it. Here's Sabrina Carpenter. Oh no,
good judgment.

Speaker 6 (01:16:05):
Oh no, I have good days an.

Speaker 7 (01:16:10):
No one O four to three MAFM. It's Valentine in
the morning. Later on today we are going to be
at the Dream Center, Los Angeles, starting at eleven o'clock
helping out with volunteers passing out different items and if
you are still looking to donate, their list is changing
every day with what they need, and this morning they're

(01:16:31):
looking for nonperishable food items, paper towels, air purifiers, large
trash bags, work gloves, safety glasses, protective coveralls.

Speaker 6 (01:16:40):
If you have any of that stuff.

Speaker 7 (01:16:42):
One of four to three MIFM dot com slash donate
has all the information, the address and everything.

Speaker 6 (01:16:46):
But it's the Dream Center, Los Angeles.

Speaker 7 (01:16:48):
We've partnered with them and they are doing a lot
of good to help people who've been affected by the fires.

Speaker 6 (01:16:52):
So if you're.

Speaker 7 (01:16:53):
Around today, if you have the time, please come buy
the Dream Center. We're going to be there at eleven
and just helping helping out a lot of people.

Speaker 5 (01:17:01):
So I gotta turn my own MIC on. Somebody texted,
we'll just go get some sleep. Yeah. I tried laying
down on the couch and Brian made me get up.

Speaker 3 (01:17:09):
I knew this was gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (01:17:10):
Brian called it.

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
I don't mean to be You did a good thing today,
you really did.

Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
You went.

Speaker 5 (01:17:15):
I was just helping out, that's all I know. I
know it's not a big deals, but.

Speaker 4 (01:17:18):
I had a big deal.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
It's nice, but it is. I knew that it would
then lead to.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
So yeah, I got up at one thirty this morning
to go fill in on KFI and help out down there,
and now I'm just exhausted. But the problem is the
problem wasn't that it wasn't that. It was just helping
out around here at the company. At I heart, I
was sleep deprived because I never got any sleep less
night with the winds and my son was out, my
wife is out, and I was worried. You know, when
your dad and your wife and son aren't home and
they got fires going on, winds going on stuff out there,

(01:17:46):
and then your kid's a brand new driver, is sixteen,
he's driving in the stuff, and there was a soccer
game he had to go to. So you just worry,
You just worry, you know. I like zero, babe, absolutely zero.
From seven forty five to when I got out of
the bit at one thirty, I never slept. I just
couldn't shut the brain off. I tried everything. I just

(01:18:08):
couldn't shut the brain off.

Speaker 5 (01:18:09):
It was weird. And then so that's why I'm more
tired too.

Speaker 8 (01:18:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:18:13):
Well took a little little lie down right now, you know,
trying to get a little power nap in.

Speaker 5 (01:18:17):
But the power nap between two songs and power.

Speaker 6 (01:18:21):
So it's tough. You're that tired.

Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
Yeah, what are you gonna do? All right, it's eight eleven.
It is one of four to three, My fam This
is Valance in the morning. Let us do for a
second if kids are in the car headed school and stuff,

In the medicine.

Speaker 2 (01:18:37):

Thank you, thanks for playing. You need to know.

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Powerful winds once again hitting southern California. How tough will
they be? When will they hit really really hard? All
that in folks, coming up in three things you need
to know.

Speaker 9 (01:22:00):
From sedan's and SUV's to full size trucks experience the
incredible power and fuel efficiency with Toyota electrified raisings.

Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
You need to know Right now, it is eight twenty,
it's Valentine in the morning. This is one of four
three MIFM powerful wins once again hitting southern California. According
to the National Weather Service GUS seventy miles an hour
are possible in some cities. Overnight, a new brushfire broke
out and Ventura County, but firefighters quickly stuffed forward progress.

Speaker 5 (01:22:27):
That was called the auto fire.

Speaker 2 (01:22:30):
I believe it was by a bunch of car dealerships
or auto center drive something like that. Burned about fifty
six acres by a golf course as well. That kind
of helped out. Wind advisories. High wind warnings, red flag
warnings in place through tomorrow night for most of southern California.
So we have to be aware, we have to be
ready to go if we're told to go. Otherwise, you know,

(01:22:51):
try not to be too anxious, but just pay attention. Yesterday,
the Rams took on the Vikings in a wildcard playoff
game that was moved from La to Arizona due to
the wildfires. The Rams defense put on a domin to performance,
sacking Vikens quarterback Sam Darnold nine times, which ties an
NFL playoff record. Ultimately LA one twenty seven to nine.

(01:23:12):
Way to go, Rams, John what's trending well?

Speaker 4 (01:23:14):
The Weekend has canceled his upcoming concert at the Rose Bowls,
originally scheduled for January twenty fifth. He's also going to
delay the release of his upcoming album called Hurry Up Tomorrow.
That's gonna now come out January twenty first. On social media,
he was saying the city has always been a profound
source of inspiration for him, and his focus is now
on supporting the recovery of those communities and aiding the
incredible people as they rebuild. So for tickets purchase through Ticketmaster,

(01:23:37):
those refunds will be issued automatically. If you have some
tickets through a third party seller, you can reach out
to the point of purchase. I' John Kamuchi. That's what's
trending on socials.

Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
We have something that's called the iHeartRadio App. It's the
new and improved iHeart Radio app. You can choose us
as your number one preset. I hope you do that
with your car. If you ever do, take a picture
of us as your number one preset in your card,
send it to us. You can be in the running
for some nice Just show us a picture of us
being the number one pre set, dropped it in my
DMS or jails or John's on social media, and we'll

(01:24:06):
take care of you. But you can also with the
iHeart Radio app. Now much like your car have presets,
so you can make MYFM the number one preset on
the iHeartRadio app. We would love if you did that,
and I also was kind of curious. We had a
lot of people who did this yesterday. Today's different for
some reason. If you want to use the iHeartRadio app,

(01:24:27):
this little microphone icon that you can click on while
you're listening to MYFM on your phone, and you can
send a voice note directed to the studio and it
could be thanking firefighters, first responders. Maybe somebody in your
life is actually right there on the line themselves and
you want to say thank you to them on the air.
You can do that little voice note sent directly to
us in the studio. Please try it out. It's the

(01:24:48):
iHeartRadio app. When you're listening to one of four to
three MIFM, look and I believe the upper right hand corner,
that's right, yeah, and you'll see the microphone icon.

Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
Depending on where your update is. Sometimes it's in the
middle so you can get right, but yeah, you'll see
it on there, that little microphone ic.

Speaker 5 (01:25:00):
So that's what we're asking for, and this is what
we got a couple of seconds ago.

Speaker 8 (01:25:03):
I listen to the Ready show. They want to shave
it up and they want to share with the wire.
Our listener from Kissing Me Florida and John Peek at
our Dana's picture online. And I do believe that missus, Oh,
miss he's a very correct man.

Speaker 5 (01:25:24):
You would say that John Pick is attracted.

Speaker 6 (01:25:26):
Did yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:25:27):
I was asking for beautiful shout outs to firefighters first,
and we get somebody listening from Kissing Me Florida that agrees.
Where did they find a picture of John Peak online?
See if he's attractive or not?

Speaker 4 (01:25:39):
This Google the guy?

Speaker 6 (01:25:40):
Maybe maybe Instagram?

Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
Du the queen of only.

Speaker 5 (01:25:47):
One of four to three my fam It is Valentine
in the morning.

Speaker 7 (01:25:50):
Okay, so yesterday was your birthday, Valentine, and one of
your guests is delayed.

Speaker 6 (01:25:57):
I gain what of your gifts was delayed?

Speaker 5 (01:26:00):
But one of my gifts. We got multiple gifts, multiple.

Speaker 7 (01:26:03):
But they are here now and we want to apologize
in advance what they are wrapped in the holiday scarfs
that we have here in the studio. John thought I
was bringing a bag. I thought John was bringing a bag,
So we don't have a bag for you.

Speaker 4 (01:26:17):
But also for efficiency purposes, we're on the air, we
don't want to take too much time on wrapping.

Speaker 5 (01:26:21):
Yes, we want to have one of those friends.

Speaker 6 (01:26:24):
We wanted to give you your birthday gifts.

Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Now, I didn't need any birthda guests whatever they are
senting back. I don't need to No, no, no, don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
I don't need Come.

Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
On, you know I don't need a birthday gift. I'm
not that person. I'm not a gift person. My love
language is touch.

Speaker 5 (01:26:37):
Yes, if you guys all want to touch me, that's full.

Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
Brian's handling that one.

Speaker 5 (01:26:42):
Yay, Brian, will you touch me?

Speaker 3 (01:26:44):
I will?

Speaker 5 (01:26:44):
Okay, So here are your gifts. Okay, okay, that's sweet. Guys.

Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
It's not really a time to celebrate, but I appreciate
none the less is very nice for you.

Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
Is this a cake christal sorts?

Speaker 5 (01:26:54):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
Oh oh I know what it is already because I
can even guess already just based in the sock ice here.
We talked about this on Etsy like I was going
to do with my wife right. Oh no, it's a
calendar of birds.

Speaker 3 (01:27:07):
Then it was them men of my FM. No.

Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
I thought it's going to be an album of all
the hits that meant something because it looks like it's
the size of an LP.

Speaker 6 (01:27:17):
But it's not No, it's not that.

Speaker 4 (01:27:21):
It's not a bird calendar?

Speaker 5 (01:27:22):
Which one do I open first? This one?

Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Well, thank god you got that about the time somebody
remember this gift is just what I think it is.

Speaker 6 (01:27:30):
I hope. So it's a what is it? But you've
always wanted, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
But you always want?

Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
You can keep opening it?

Speaker 6 (01:27:43):
Yeah, yeah, I think it's just like a little protective.

Speaker 5 (01:27:45):
Maybe it's a protective cover.

Speaker 4 (01:27:46):
Yeah, this is not a plastic is not part of
the gift.

Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
Let me see, all right, let me yeah, how's it open?

Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
Keeping it?

Speaker 5 (01:27:56):
There we go, there we go.

Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
There it is.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
Thought. That's done. Now tell people to do.

Speaker 6 (01:28:03):
He's conducting his orchestra.

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
I really wanted that's one, four, five, six, seven eight asking. Yeah,
it's a conductor's be ton I've been asking for this
for years.

Speaker 5 (01:28:16):
FIFA band, torn's up. Oh god, it's so good.

Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
All right to use here in the studio. And yes,
it's like you want to go to John.

Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
Yeah, I'm just gonna go and then boom to Jill.

Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
Interesting.

Speaker 5 (01:28:32):
Yeah, this is very nice, guys, very nice, very nice.
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (01:28:36):
Is it really well done?

Speaker 5 (01:28:37):
Okay? And oh that's not bad. Too. They got me
a calendar of lighthouses.

Speaker 4 (01:28:41):
See, I thought we did birds last year. We had
to switch it up.

Speaker 5 (01:28:44):
Okay, so this year doing lighthouse.

Speaker 4 (01:28:46):
The calendar of lighthouse.

Speaker 5 (01:28:47):
Thank you guys. It's incredibly sweet of you that.

Speaker 6 (01:28:49):
Can really draw a lighthouse really well, he can really.

Speaker 4 (01:28:56):
Love for lighthouses.

Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
Where were you, guys when I was on KMF I
today you should join me. And this is all great
information that we could have got out the southern California.
This guy's great at drawing lighthouses and.

Speaker 6 (01:29:06):
He wants conduct.

Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
You know what's funny, we could have done this off
the year. I don't know about the compelling content. If
we're bringing to people with this.

Speaker 6 (01:29:13):
Is a little bit of normal.

Speaker 5 (01:29:13):
Se my god, look at.

Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
That Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Oh my god, the Portland Head
Lighthouse in Maine. Stop it. Peggy's Cove in Canada. Do
you know how famous that one's peace? Peggas Cove Lighthouse
is absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 6 (01:29:27):
Well, happy birthday, Thank you, this.

Speaker 5 (01:29:29):
Race sweit of you?

Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
All right, I will conduct us to this break five
six seven eight Text.

Speaker 1 (01:29:40):
Valentine in the morning at three one oh four to three.

Speaker 7 (01:29:46):
Weather today, temperatures are going to be in the sixties,
and so the California remains in critical fire danger with
a particularly Dangerous Situation warning issued through noon tomorrow, and
winds are expected to be in the forty five five
to seventy mile per hour range right now. It's currently
forty three in Pasadena and forty nine in her most Absian.

(01:30:06):
Coming up in Hollywood Headlines, Lisa Kutro has shared a
Romean Michelle sequel update. I'll tell you what she said
about the script coming up at eight fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:30:17):
Jessica, good morning. How are you today?

Speaker 11 (01:30:19):
Good morning, I'm doing well. How are you day?

Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
I'm exhausted. I just conducted the eighteen twelve overture here.

Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
In the studio.

Speaker 11 (01:30:29):
That's pretty hard. You're doing a great job.

Speaker 12 (01:30:31):
I'm sure they got.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
Me a conductor's but talk my birthday. So I was
planning around that, what's going on? What can we do
for you this morning?

Speaker 11 (01:30:38):
So well, I was just calling it because as I
heard about the conductor's baton, and then I heard you
tap it on something. And I'm sitting in line at
McDonald's getting ready to order my breakfast, and I just
when you tapped it. I have this strong urge to
lift my flute up that I'm obviously not holding, to
be in position and ready to play.

Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:30:58):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (01:31:01):
A conductor's baton, think of like a concert band. You
see the guy up there in the tucks, He's got
a little teeny teeny very thin baton. He conducts the
orchestra with the symphony, and I've always dreamt of doing that.
It's a thing that I love. Back in Marching Man
when as drum major, then so one more time for
those in the rear, I give to them already and one.

Speaker 5 (01:31:26):
Two, three, four, Oh my god, that's the worst band ever.

Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
I don't come in that four measures the rest.

Speaker 3 (01:31:34):
Nice job.

Speaker 5 (01:31:36):
Then he hits the triangle. I've been waiting all this time.
Hit my triangle. So did you play fluid back in school?

Speaker 12 (01:31:44):
I guess, or something I did?

Speaker 11 (01:31:46):
I played in middle school and high school?

Speaker 5 (01:31:49):
Fantastic? Were you any good?

Speaker 11 (01:31:52):
I mean, I'm sure I was.

Speaker 12 (01:31:53):
Well, Okay, I was first chair, so I guess.

Speaker 5 (01:31:56):
So, oh, excuse me.

Speaker 11 (01:31:58):
I was gonna say, oh I was, but then I remember, so, yes,
it was.

Speaker 5 (01:32:02):
First sure, woa good for you? You must have been great?

Speaker 7 (01:32:06):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 11 (01:32:07):
It was fun. It was a good experience.

Speaker 5 (01:32:09):
Yeah, did you ever play piccolo or just flute?

Speaker 11 (01:32:12):
I wanted to play piccolo and I paid it a
couple of times, but I never actually picked like kept
going with it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
Oh that's tougher. Yeah, piccolo's very hard. Yeah, what do you?
What's your face about.

Speaker 4 (01:32:22):
The lady?

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
And she heard me with the conductor's baton. She wanted
to talk about it. Jess is a nice lady in
ranch of Cucamonga. Then if you played flute a lot
of times, somebody in the flute section played the piccolo.

Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
Y hitting questions.

Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
Excuse me, this is not a hard even question. It's
a conversation between two friends. There are other people out there.
John was in a marching band. You played on trumpeter, trumpet,
French RN brass. I'm good to the brass rights and
I was, you know, inherently, I started as a woodwind guy.

Speaker 5 (01:32:52):
I was playing out the saxophone. Then I moved on to.

Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Not to impress you too much, mom, but these lips
that speak to you every single morning, also wet the
whistle of a double read and obo, oh oh.

Speaker 6 (01:33:10):
Nice sweet bicycle.

Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
A little.

Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Patriotism flowing with this show, a lot of patriotism it says,
US band nerds are enjoying this episode.

Speaker 5 (01:33:24):
Well, thank you, guys, I appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
I think that's US bend.

Speaker 5 (01:33:26):
Oh is it? Oh? Okay? Well, all right, there we go.

Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
US ben nerds are enjoying this episode. Also, US bend
nerds are in the US very patriotic arounds here. Val
conducting gave John Camucci's voice some reflection when he was
doing it. During John's commercial he was reading, I followed direction,
all right, how did I miss that yesterday? Happy Birthday Valentine?
Because we didn't talk about it much and it wasn't
necessary today either. It's very sweet of them, but obviously

(01:33:50):
we all have a lot in our plate, and you know,
a little birthday card for my son and my wife
was a beautiful, wonderful thing for me.

Speaker 5 (01:33:56):
That was fine. Um, there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
If you want to reach out, three one four three
three one four three is are a text line. You
can also call eight sixty six five four to four MYFM.
As you go about your day. A lot of kids
are back in school this week, and obviously a lot
of kids are not in school this week and facing
an entirely different dilemma than maybe your student is there
was a lot of kids at my son's school whose

(01:34:20):
family lost their homes in the Palisades. About thirty plus
families I heard was a number, And I think we're
still trying to find out more. And then obviously his
school is going to do all they can to help
these families and stuff, and it'll be an ongoing thing.
We're talking about going down the Dream Center today and
doing some drop offs there and raising some moreness that way.
But uh, the thing to remember, I guess that really

(01:34:41):
just kind of sticks in my mind. This is not
a we're done this week. It's not it. It's not it.
These folks don't even know their next step yet, and
I don't I shouldn't even say these folks. I'm saying
our friends, our family members don't even know their next
steps yet. Our coworkers don't necessarily know their next steps. Yeah,
because you're still trying to figure out what just happened.
You're trying to and I'm assuming this because it hasn't

(01:35:02):
happened to me. You're trying to not come to terms,
but to have some sort of realization of the grieving process.
You'll go through the anger, all these things that come
when there's a loss, and a loss of a home
and all your possessions is something incredibly hard for anyone
to imagine unless you've actually gone through something similar to that.
So I think it's it's a long and somewhat winding

(01:35:24):
road at times. So it won't be done this week.
Will be trying to keep these people raised up for
as long as we can, you know.

Speaker 7 (01:35:32):
And I hope the attitude that everyone has, like the
sense of community, I hope that continues as well, and
how businesses have been stepping up. Hopefully that can continue
in some way, you know, and not like you said,
not just this week and then it's over, you know,
hopefully that will continue as well.

Speaker 5 (01:35:47):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
I will use my conducting baton yes, and I will
say people attention, follow the leader.

Speaker 5 (01:35:52):
My god, I'm turning into a pipe piper. One oh
