I'm so happy. I spent the night at my parents'
house last night and my mom was visiting a friend,
so it was just me and my dad, and he
made a steak dinner with some grilled zucchini and a
salad and this huge piece of steak, and it was
just so good.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
How much red meat to you eat in a week?
I feel like from talking to you, and this is
no judgment, just curiosity factor of my own diet and
looking at life and stuff like that, I feel like
I'll talk to you and you go, oh, you know,
Jeff made a great sake last night, or oh, we
went out for Koreem barbecue, which is probably gonna be
red meat. My dad made a steak. I'm just curious
your world. Yeah, how much you think you eating a regular.

Week red meat? Once a week, a lot of chicken,
a lot of chicken dish. Do you have pork, No pork,
We did pork chops before.

Yeah, but it's red meat.

That's that's red meat.

Because it's because it's a from a red blooded animal.

Does that make it chickens bleed red?

Yeah, they do, of course red. No, But people feel
because they had a great marketing campaign, it was very
successful for years, and they identified pork as the other
white meat. The coloration does not necessarily denote what it's
about red meat. Well, that is very misleading, but you
needn't know that it is classified as red meat.

Interesting. Yeah, you to take that up with big steak.

Pretty good big steak.

I feel like I'm like a once or twice a
red meat a week, and then maybe pork one night,
the rest chicken.

Yeah. How much fish in your diet?

I eat a lot of fish.

I have to like try and cut back on my
fish because I eat so much fish that I began
to get nervous about mercury poisoning.

Oh yeah, I think if you get good quality fish
and you eat the fish that is naturally lower if
you're eating game fish like shark or tuna or something
like that.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Tuna that's my that's my go to tuna, and.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Can sometimes it's okay, and you can get lower mercury
tuna and stuff like that for safe catch. I think
it's called and you'll be better off that way. Brian,
what about you? What are we talking about? How much red.

I don't know, once a month. I don't know what's

I kind of zoned out there a little bit.

All right, Well, you know what, I didn't want it

steak and screw you. You're so mean to me. That's

eat in a week?

Almost none. My wife's a vegetarian, so I am effectively
a vegetarian as well.

Lots of pasta though, lots of pasta pasta. Yeah yeah, yeah, Well.

but then my iron levels were low, so I started

do that. I go long periods of time without doing stuff,
you know, like a camel for things. Right now it's alcohol,

I think Fridays take us somewhere, you know, like we

Particular, Fridays especially, you kind of like careless. Yeah, and
you're also like really tired and delusional from the week.

Yes, careless, I care it's not coming across. Do you

I really liked the conversation about Bruce Springsteen.

I said that on their prior I didn't listen. Yes, well, Brian,

The story you told about how there's a rest stop
named after him, and he seemed to really come alive
when you told that.

That was a good segment.

I actually during that segment because I have an inner ear,
so I had like an earpiece. And if you're a
Hollywood type like me, you know the little thing in
the ear where the director it talks to you has
a name and it's escaped me right now. Is it
like a fob or something fob or something something no,
that's not it a fob's you little key card to
get into.

And so the director is talking to me during that segment,
and they were They were also saying like wickedly annoyingly

entire time I'm talking to job bo Joe, right, but
during that segment that Brian so politely is referencing. After

that segment we went to a song, they were like,
my god, that was great. That was such a great segment.
Way to go. You guys nailed that. Jobey doesn't hear
this is just me and so I sat up a
bit straighter, flexed my shoulders a bit. Yeah, that's good
right there on the stage in front of people.

So well, hopefully we get closer and closer solving all
that stuff. I was thinking about my son the other day,
and here we are with your age and me with
a similar age of yours, and thinking about the medical
advancements in our world and what will be in front
of us the next ten, fifteen, twenty years and stuff.
And then I think about my seventeen year old son.
What will be in front of him when he's in
his fifties, when he's in his forties, What will come
to our kids and Brian's kids, What medical advancements will

be on the radar for them. It's fascinating, you.

Know, I know it is. It is fascinating.

Yeah, they'll be okay, they'll be okay. Do you think so?
I think so. I think a lot of the stuff,
the cancer and stuff, I think it'll be solid by
the time they get there.

How do you feel about your grilled cheese?

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Oh dude, that's like a grilled cheese one of my favorites.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Interestingly enough, just the other day and this is not
the bowg art your segment. It's about grilled cheese that
you've been planning for a while.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
Yeah, I've been working on this all week.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I made my son and grilled cheese the other day, and
I tried something I had not tried in recent days.
I would usually take the bread, slap a little butter
on one side, put the cheese in between, and slap
a little butter on the inside. Shive it in the pan.
What I did prior to putting the butter and the
cheese in between. Talking like Ryan's Secret food a little

bit now, So what I did? I toasted lightly toasted
the bread in the toaster prior to making this grilled cheese.

That's what I do when I make mine. It helps
with the crunch.

Yeah, have you ever used mayonnaise instead of butter?

That seems to be the craze right now. But the
reason for me bringing this up is seventy five percent
of people think they cannot make a good grilled cheese.

People screwed up. I see me screwed up all the time.
They burn it too much, they're lumpy with their butter.
They put butter on it's too cold, so then you
can't spread it evenly on the bread. It all the time.
I see it all the time. I look through windows
of homes across America.

Yeah, I'll make you a good grilled cheese.

I do feel like it's harder than it looks because
as a kid, that was like my favorite meal growing on,
and my mom would make the best grilled cheese and
she told me the steps on how to do it,
and I must have tried that a thousand times throughout
my high school career. Right, I never had one grilled
cheese hit as hard as my mom's and I was
just like, what is it?

I do think it is difficult to make a grilled cheese, right.

You gotta take the plastic off the cheese. You gotta

or something like that, you can get away with asking
a woman on the radio what she's wearing.

I didn't even hesitate on entering my goodness, Well, they

to have this thing that when I was a little
child that was mostly detached for them, and they just
didn't seem to care.

I practiced the most random impressions out of anybody. Anybody

Popped into my head on the drive in this morning,
I tell you about earlier. Yeah, as soon as you
walk around, things just pop right into your head and
just go for it, right. And life is like that.
Sometimes when you're on the dance floor of life, you're
not sure where it's going to lead you, and sometimes
you just have to give in to the dance right.
For many of us, we'd like to control. We see
what happens on the dance floor. We want to look

perfect on that dance floor. Even at a wedding, you
want to look good in that dance floor. But sometimes reckless, abandoned,
sometimes just giving into the dance, giving into the flow.
It doesn't have to be that perfect waltz that we
all watch in those movies from back in the day,
the kings and queens in the eighteen hundreds, they dance

Sometimes you give in to the dance itself and let
it lead you. Sometimes it will lead you and your partner.
Where's it taking you? Where is the dance of life

for our lives, or our daily events. And sometimes you
just don't know that final determination, and you have to

ton of different fertility appointments, and I was supposed to
have an anger trieval this week. At first we thought
maybe we'd have it Monday or Tuesday, but my body
has been taken a little bit of a longer time
to do what it needs to do. And I've been
doing hormonal injections now for two weeks. We counted the

shots last night. It's been sixty four injections in the
past two weeks. And on Wednesday I went, I've been
going like every other day. And on Wednesday my doctor said,
based off of my blood work and the ultrasound, it
looks like we will be able to do an egg
retrieval next week. So I'm gonna go today and that's
going to determine what day we can do the egg

(41:08):
retrieval based off of the size of the follicles and
how my blood work is. And so just hearing that
on Wednesday, because it's kind of up in the air,
will we even be able to have an egg retrieval.
And there's definitely one follicle who is just doing a thing.
There's a couple other little baby ones that's still need
a little bit more time, but this one strong follicle,
I'm like, yes, let's go, So gonna have an egg

retrieval next week. I'm so happy.

There's so many of us that before you started talking
about this, didn't even know what a follicle was. Plenty
of kids going, wait a minute, mom, what's a follicle?
Rose eggs? It's like an egg tree or something like that.

I've learned a lot these basketballs we all have.

The human body is a miracle, yes, like my belief
in a higher power. Just looking at the human body
and all the ins and outs, ups and downs that
it has, and the miracle of science and how it
all works together. It's just I'm happy for you guys.
You got through that without crying.

I know, I think be impressive. It's very impressive. I
think because I'm still in that phase of I'm still
don't play the music ause that gets me. I'm still
like very nervous. Every time I go to the fertility clinic,
I am I'm nervous, and I kind of like push
it down in a way and I just focus on, Okay,
this is gonna be good. We're gonna get good news.

You know, this is gonna be great. And so I think,
because I'm not I haven't heard one hundred percent you're
having your retrieval on Monday or whatever day. Once I
hear that, then I think I'll be able to break
a little bit.

And then it's it's kind of like we talked about earlier,
first Sift. Just close your eyes and spin, Just dance,
you know, let the dance take you where it's gonna go.
Because none of us know what tomorrow has in store
for us. Tomorrow's promised to know and and we don't

and Jeff are on this adventure together as a married couple,
and just see where it takes you because you have
each other by your side, you have a dance partner.

of students at the PEP rally the day and just
commands the crowd, and of course I'm like, where you
get that from it?

you're a child senior and they applying to different colleges.
It is so hard to put down on paper the
life of a child and what they bring to a community.

hope it's a good one because we're applying now. The
deadline I think for early action early decision. He is

coming up next Friday and we are doing eighty one

piece of paper that says if you accept my kid,

kind of a contract between the school and the student
