That Supreme Court ruling on Friday, which is a pretty

a third walked walk the other way, they still got
fifty one votes, So you know that that is what
it is. It was Ram Paul was the other one.
But Tillis said that the issue for him was Medicare cuts,

and he used his time to explain it.

Between the state directed payments and the cuts scheduled in
this bill, there's a reduction of state directed payments and
then there's the reduction of the provider tax. They can't
find a hole in my estimate. So what they told
me is that, yeah, it's rough, but North Carolina's use

all right. So what do I tell six hundred and
sixty three thousand people in two years or three years
when President Trump breaks his promise by pushing them off
of Medicaid Because the funding's not there anymore, guy, when
the White House richer's advising the president are not telling

him that the effect of this bill is to break
a promise. And you know, the last time I saw
a promise broken around healthcare with respect to my friends
on the other side of the aisle, that's when somebody said,
if you like your healthcare, you could keep it. If
you like your doctor, you could keep it.

down it and voted against and essentially killed the effort
to get rid of the very legislation that Tillis is

over the weekend, he decided to do the John McCain

is interesting that that is the reference there. I don't know.
I mean, I know, you got what we do is
to sit there and crap over him. But my thing
was I didn't think he should be representing North Carolina.
I definitely didn't feel that he was doing what was
stated or expected based on how he would campaign and

the couple times that I had him on the air,
and I think we've had him on the air twice
in you know, almost fifteen years on this show. He
doesn't do a lot of other interviews, but you know,
the impression, especially around election season, when you know the
off chance that he did come on, was that he
was going to vote for all of this stuff. Now,

I understand that people are mad about the big Beautiful Bill.
I hate calling it that, but these are the dumb
names that we come up with for legislation, So I
get that. I understand that. It's just it's such a
weird kind of Swan Song thing. So I don't know
if there's something else going on or what. But the

political apparatuses are very interesting because then he's like, we
got some some show follows yesterday. Usually when a lection
season ramps up, we get him and they tend to
be calms guys, for people who are running. I get it,
but you know there's gonna be a scramble to fill
this void. And while there's names out there already, now

people who have a higher profile, who maybe were sitting
back to wait to see what he did because they
don't want a primary challenge him, now they're gonna have
to make a decision. It sounds like Marx made his decision.
Mark Walker, I have seen his statement. He's he's in
an interesting position because this, this ambassadorship that Trump wants

to give him, has a Senate confirmation process, So like
if he throws his name in there, obviously I don't
I don't. I don't know that him and Tillis are
particularly friends. Honestly, I don't know what their relationship is.
I mean they worked together at one point, obviously with
than the delegation. But how that translates to Mark's ability

to do that and not the other thing. It sounds like,
based on his statement that that's where his energy is.
I saw Mark Robinson tweeting some stuff out mostly on Tillis,
not necessarily on his future. Let's see here, maybe del
Fallwell runs again, or this time for Senate. I don't know,

conversations on all of this today. Who do you want?
Who do you think of people that have expressed interest
or would be that likely candidate. Do you want someone
that's full throated maga guy or do you want somebody

with him because it's like, there are guys that survive
in those Senate seats without having to do the maga
ra ra and yet still are fine, right, and some
of them are in leadership positions, but like Tilli's never

achieved that. It was whenever you see you guys, remember
seeing the video of Tilli's with JD. Vance when it
came out after the hurricane, and he's just standing there
looking like he wants to be anywhere but there. I
remember that because you know Vance is there and he's
very personable, he does good interviews, he speaks well, and
it was early enough on that it wasn't going to

be a lot of politics, and I don't know, he
just looked like he didn't want to be there, didn't
want to be there at all. Remember Vance was his colleague.
So I don't know what's going on, but if the
goal was not to have him be senator anymore, then
there you go. There it is. I mean, he's still

senator for what a year and a half. You can't
burn the guy too much. But if if you wanted
him out, you got what you wanted. Now the question
is who do you get in there? Who is that

Dershowitz did a pretty good job of it. I found
the interview, so it was on Fox Business, not Fox Regular,
talking about this the Supreme Court ruling, and you know,
injuncting an entire nation based on an individual court case,

and so it's more than just a court case, which
is about birthright citizenship. That's its own thing, but it's
also the idea and the words in there, which by
the way, are when I read what Barrett wrote, she
wrote the majority opinion and wrote literally name dropping Katanji Brown.

You don't see that very often, and it shows just
really how divided at least one member of the court is,
with seemingly five or six of them at the very
least two of them were on that on that decision
sign their name to it. So how does that impact
the other cases? It's it's like everything else in Washington,

you don't know until you start doing it. And they're
going to be fast underway with that. We're Disneyland story
this morning. All right, well, I'm gonna read more about
that then we'll get back into it. So on Friday,
before all the Tillis stuff and everything else that emerged,
we were talking about a Supreme Court ruling over birthright
citizenship and basically it's a test case, right, so you

do something something In this case, it's an executive order
from Trump and it says that that was not the
intent to endow insta citizenship on people just because mom's
able to get over the border. Okay, it was. It
was for slaves and Native Americans, and that's why we

did it. And intent should matter here, and you know,
they'll go through the adjudication. The problem was it was
one of these cases where a judge came in and
basically decided that we're just going to put anything they
want to do on the administrative side on hold and
a national injunctional take place. Well, that's the big beef
(16:23):
here with a lot of these things. So this ruling
did directly address that inso much as it pertained to
this case. And then how that impacts other ones, I
don't know, but I think Alan Dershowitz did a pretty
good interview on Fox News. So let me give you
the give you some highlights here real quick. Sorry, I

was making sure one other thing, all right, Yeah, don't worry,
we'll get to the other thing. So this is evening edit,
all right. So Dershowitz is on there and he's talking
about the two pass that Trump has now. One, first
of all, the majority judges said, the judges cannot Sorry,

my laptop's trying to restart for some reason, individual judges
cannot impose sweeping restrictions on presidential actions. So it wasn't
just about this, but rather about, you know, really how
all this stuff's been playing out. All right, So that's
number one. He says, there's two things that could happen.
I reference this one. The administration goes in front of
the judges says withdraw your opinion, you're now in violation

of the court, or they just say, you know, the
judges said those don't exist anymore, and then you just
operate in that fashion. So what they choose will become quickly,
quickly relevant and evident here over the next couple of days.
Remember it's a short week with fourth of July, so
if they're going to get some stuff done, and there's

literally over one hundred of these cases, they're going to
start filing paperwork. Let's see here. Really, here's what it
came down to, And basically it was a very different
understanding between Amy Cony Barrett, who wrote the majority and
Ketanji Brown Jackson, who wrote obviously the dissension. And it

wasn't just about these individual things, but how they view
the job of the court. And in fact, Barrett wrote
in the decision, she said, I will not dwell on
Justice Jackson's argument, which is at odds with more than
two centuries worth of precedent, not to mention the Constitution itself,
Barrett calling her out, saying, we observe only this. Justice

Jackson decries an imperial executive while embracing an imperial judiciary.
And that's what this ruling was about basically the idea
that the courts have an extreme and an immense amount
of power as it pertains to another branch of government,
one that is almost instantaneous. What is the name of

the group that Sukasa, which is an immigrant an immigrant
advocacy organization, filed a lawsuit against Trump's executive order terminate
eating birthright citizenship, saying that it violated the fourteenth Amendment.
This would be kids born to undocumented immigrants, parents whatever. Basically,
in some of it's like tourism stuff, that stuff with

China's weird man, they busted whole companies who would just
bring over really wealthy Chinese women and then they would
just stay around till they had their baby and then
go back to China, so that one day, you know,
their kid has the citizenship and they can send them
over here to go to school or spy or do
whatever they want. So how it impacts this individual lawsuit.

The judges left open the idea that a judge in
one of these state lawsuits or in one of these
districts can also injunct, but can only do so on
a localized basis and for a very specific reasons. Basically,
what the law said. They just reiterated it and then
trimmed down how far reaching it could be. Does that

make sense? All right? So there you go. That's it
in a nutshell, which honestly, I thought it was gonna
be the big story today and they talk about it
all weekend. But nope, Nope. Between the tilla stuff you're
locally and this crazy story I want to get into
now out there in Quarterlane, Idaho, That's that's what's dominating

the news this morning. So this happened. Let's see here. Ah,
I know it's kootin Eye County. I'm trying to figure
out it is just outside of Quarterlaine where this happened.
So they get a call in the guy who called
they don't think is the suspect because we don't we

don't have all the names and everything here yet. Uh
So somebody called and said, hey, there's a fire. Okay,
that's not unusual, especially this time of the year. You
get people camping camp fire, so they're not thinking anything
of it. So they show up to where the fire
is and when they show up to the fire, all
of a sudden, firefighters are getting shot at Two firefighters

are dead, a third is injured. I believe the two
dead are from two different departments. One's counting and one's
more regional one. The attacks started around two pm at
Canfield Mountain, your Quardelaine, and it went on for five hours.
They eventually had to get swat out there. They found
the dude they believed to be the shooter. It's not,

and he's next to a firearm. He's dead, but they're
not really saying that the guy killed himself if they
shot him. But for five hours he shot at deputies
and obviously firefighters at first, and it looks like he
set it all up. You know, we talked about the

thing with the ambulance where you saw this over in
the Middle East. You know, you do something, you get
everybody there, and you drive an ambulance in the middle
of it with explosives, and now you've got a second
thing that might be even deadlier than the first thing
you did. This is just a more dumb down version
of that. SWAT teams discover the lifeless body of a

man next to a firearm on the tourist trail, describing
it as a quote total ambush. Firefighters did not have
a chance. Well, sure, because they're just showing up to
put a fire out, because again this time of the year,
you just assume some hiker didn't, you know, smother his
embers or whatever, and now you just get there and

deal with it and mitigate the thing, and all of
a sudden, some lunatics fire and rounds at you. Police
said quote. Currently we have one dead shooter based on
preliminary investigation. Keep in mind, we had a fire that
was rod oh oh, that was the other thing too.
So they find the body of the shooter next to it,
and instead of being able to preserve a crime scene,

they we'll have to literally grab everything, including this guy's body,
and get it out of there because the fire is
still going. And then they were able to obviously put
the fire out or at least contain it at this point.
So no name, So I'm respeculating it might be that
dude they've been looking for, but I have not seen
anything confirmed there, though maybe now I'm seeing somewhere they

may have released a name. All right, well, let me check.
I don't want to just throw that out there. Let's see,
we do believe the suspect started the fire. We do
believe it was an ambush and that it was intentional
so that he could fire at firefighters first responders. So
maybe there's some beef there. Maybe it is that dude

they've been looking for. Maybe it's just some guy who's
like guys, is how many get famous. The third firefighter
is in stable condition now, so that's good to hear.
No other first responders or civilians reportedly hurt in the rampage.
All told, it lasted like thirty minutes for the time

that the first shots were fired to getting getting a
swat team out there and finding this guy, which is
actually pretty impressive because it's not like this thing's going
on in the middle of town, right they go. This
is out is a hiking area outside of Quarterlane. Quarterlane
just about thirty miles from Spokane, But once you get
out of Quarterlane in a Spokane, it's pretty wide open.

up there to mitigate this thing was that quickly is

small town. They had it shooting blue water obviously fourth

minor barricade. But a big group of people was standing
with his car landed like surprise close and so they come,
they do the jump, it's successful ish, it goes through
the water, they land the general lee. It immediately breaks
a little and starts veering left. Thankfully that's where the

barricade was. And then there's I don't know, a couple
hundred people sending on the other side who didn't even flinch,
by the way, but one of the things that was
very apparent and ross, it was very subtle. I don't
know if you picked up on this, have you how
many jumps and like Daredevil things have we watched over

they spend the first hour of the special explaining all
the logistics, right, do the math, the launch angle, the speed.

officially declared that were planning on doing a primary. But
now that Tilli's isn't running again, now it really gets open.
And the goal is do you you get out and

you plant your flag early, start getting some momentum, going
some fundraising, some people around you. Can you officially, but
then you have to start filing paperwork? Do you waited out?
So who gets in this thing? I don't know what
the answer is, but we've had, Look, we've had a
couple of real interesting, giant wide open things like how
many people are in the primary for a lieutenant governor?

as it pertains to Trump where they do not see

hundred and sixty three thousand people in two years or
three years when President Trump breaks his promise by pushing

Guy, when the White House butcher's advising the President are
not telling him that the effect of this bill is
to break a promise. And you know, the last time
I saw a promise broken around healthcare with respect to

Doctor, you can keep it. We found out that wasn't true.

And what an interesting thing for him to be referencing,
because so many people were calling this his John McCain moment,

to essentially repealing portions of Obamacare. They just needed John
McCain to vote yes, and he walked up there, put
his hand to his side like he was Caesar, and

thumbs down it. And that was it. That was the
closest Republicans ever got to rolling back. Wouldn't have rolled
the entire thing back, but rolling certain portions of it back,
specifically the areas around fort you know, legally forcing it
upon people for tax purposes, which which, don't get me wrong,
was about trying to kill the whole thing. But ultimately

none of it worked. So here we sit with, you know,
the marketplace as we know it. So for him to
reference that is kind of interesting when he says he's
fighting for people's healthcare because you then believe that Obamacare
is a net benefit more than you believe that it
had negative impacts on people that probably hurt access it definitely.

It definitely made it a lot more expensive for some
people who were quite happy with their plans. They're young,
they're healthy, they don't want to go to a doctor. Ever,
so I felt like a steal. Those plans went away.
They couldn't offer him anymore. They didn't meet the requirements.
So you get this homogeneous government thing out there, and

it's like you. That is where the philosophies deviated. Remember
till us was he was in leadership in our own
legislature when they were still not going to expand Medicare
or Medicaid. There was only recent Republicans that finally gave
into it years later after he was long gone from
the legislature. But ideologically, you can't reference the one thing

and claim that this is because you have big thoughts
on healthcare when the thing you're referencing was essentially McCain
taking the position that Obamacare was better than not at all.

So with that in mind, how impactful it is kind
of like John McCain's was with the repeal of Obamacare.
I don't know what that's going to look like, but
there's a lot of opportunities, and you got Ran Paul
who's against a lot of this stuff, you get one
other one or two other senators, and maybe judicial nominations
don't happen, and they still have they still have nominations there,

They have ambassador nominations. Former Congressman Mark Walker's among those.
So like there's a lot of stuff that could still
get jammed up. But the question becomes, then who do
you want to replace him? And the process, while probably
a little messy as everyone's getting in, at least is
not a process where you had to primary somebody, so's

it'll be clean slates on both sides. I think there's
a high likelihood that Roy Cooper does for himself in
the Senate race. Whether he's successful or not, I don't know,
but I could see him when to statewide elections, well
more than two but two recent governors ones, depending on

it's gonna be an enthusiasm game, right because you know
I'm a presidential election. Then you just want everyone to
get pumped. You want them to show up, so turnout.

charged in a big old Walter White style drug bust.

Force in Rowan County Sheriff's concluded an investigation seasing twelve

hundred and fifty grams of fentanyl. And among those arrested,

thirty two year old Sidilla Marie Denise Owen. Now, the
reason she's gonna get a lot of pub is because
earlier that day she was teaching middle school students. Obviously

she is not teaching kids at the moment. The thirty
seven year old was charged with or excuse me, she's
thirty two, and the other guy's thirty, so she's thirty
two two counts of felony level three trafficking fentanyl. Also,
maintaining a vehicle dwelling for drugs is a pretty standard
extra charge there. However, the ringleader, I guess they think,

is a thirty seven year old guy by the name
of Jordan Jefferson who's not a kid's teacher. So that's good.
He's charged with all this stuff. We're able to crack
the system, the controls. Are you ready for this? The crosswalks, No,
not how they cross, but rather the what you hear?

able to crack it by figuring out the pin password
on this thing, and they replaced it with deep fakes
