Speaker 1 (00:02):
Shrock Innovations presents the Midwest number one independent computer repair
company with service centers and Lincoln Paul Maha, Papillion des
Moines and across the country via the Shrock Desk. This
is Compute This.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Hello, folks, and welcome into compute this.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
My name is Thor Schrock. I'm the owner of the
Shrock Innovations computer company. Where it has been one heck
of a week. I mean, we are hr generalists. You know,
the person who hires everybody at truck, the person who
is responsible for making Shock what it is because everyone's like, oh,
your people are so amazing, give that guy a raise.
(00:40):
My mom called into the shop the other day and
she was like, give that guy a raise. I'm like, Mom,
now everybody tells me Liam deserves a raise. He's amazing.
That's the kind of people we hire at Shrock. And
now that person who does all the hiring has an
opportunity to do something really amazing in her career path.
And you know, I can't falter for taking it. Everything
is good terms and all that, but oh my goodness.
(01:00):
So yeah, we have to like it's like hiring a
new person to define who you are. It's it's really
a the more the more I think about it, my
watch is going off, like you seem to be stressed today,
and I'm like, well, yeah, this is like a big deal.
So if you're interested, avon Indeed, we have a number
(01:20):
of positions available that we're hiring for right now. We've got,
of course, the HR generalist position for the entire company,
as well as individual positions in just about every location
in the company as well right now, So you can
check that out over at indeed dot com.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Just search for Shock there you'll find it.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that you
may have received an email from me this week, and
maybe you didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Most of the time, when you don't receive the emails
from me, it's because either they went to your spam
or your promotions folder, or because at some point you
click the unsubscribed link at the bottom of the email.
Every time we send an email, we get fifty or
sixty people that click unsubscribe, and we're just a we
can't we assume that you mean to do it. We
can't just not unsubscribe you, so you don't get the
(02:04):
email anymore. If you didn't get the email. Let me know,
let someone at the shop know. They can check your
subscription to make sure that you know you're you're eligible
for that. But the preventive maintenance checkup sale is on
uh for the final one for twenty twenty five right now.
And for those of you who have been longtime listeners,
you know what this means. Things are gonna get very
very busy. And I was kind of hinting last week
if you listened to the Aftershock, I straight said it,
(02:26):
but during the show, I was kind of hinting like, hey,
now get in now if you have something little annoying
thing you want taken care of, because we're about to
get very very busy in the service centers. And that's
continued going into this week here even without the maintenance sale.
Computer sales off the charts up as the deadline for
Windows ten approaches, plus back to school, you know, plus
everything else happening.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
It's it's just insane.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
So right now at Shock maintenance checkups, which are normally
one hundred dollars, are on sale for thirty percent off.
It's sixty nine to ninety nine for a maintenance checkup.
Now we're gonna spend a second on the prob I'm
not going to bore you with an entire show about
what maintenance checkups do, but there are some things that
have changed over the years in how the maintenance checkup
impacts the way your computer performs and the way your
(03:10):
computer works has changed with Windows eleven through the different iterations.
So clearing out the you know, everybody knows about clearing
the cache of your browser, Like if you clear out
your browser cache, your browser loads web pages faster all
of a sudden.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Well, guess what, your computer has a cash too.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
We're going to get into how do you clean that
out so that your computer is snappier again?
Speaker 2 (03:31):
You know?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
You know how I know it's time for me to
clear the cash on my computer when I hit the
start button and I type CALC to open the calculator
and I hit enter, and I have to wait. If
I can take out my phone and open the calculator
app faster than my computer, which is like last year's
holiday special, can can open the calculator app, it's time
(03:52):
to clear the cache because that's not supposed to be
that slow. So we'll get into that a little bit
on the program here today as well. Also, we have
a debate going on, folks. Every time I send this email,
every single time it says at the top, preventative maintenance
check up on special, And every single time Jerry emails
(04:12):
me back and Jerry says it's preventive, not preventative. That's right,
every single time. And you know, finally, I'm like, you know,
I should probably reply to Jerry because Jerry probably thinks
that I'm just ignoring her, you know. So no, I
replied this time because and I did a deep dive.
(04:32):
I even asked Ava to double check my work just
to make sure everything was right.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Ave is my chat GPT pro assistant or whatever.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
So I asked, you know, preventative versus preventive, what is
the correct usage?
Speaker 2 (04:46):
And here is the lowdown. It depends who you're writing for.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
If you're writing for general communication, which all you journalism
majors out there know is a sixth grade reading level,
then you write preventative. If you're writing for the New
York Times, who they're not journalists at all. We all
know that if you're writing for the New York Times
and you're high falutin, you're writing for that audience, the
MBA audience. It's preventive. So the difference is one. They
(05:15):
both mean the same thing, they both conveyed the same meeting,
and they're both perfectly valid in the English language to
use preventative versus preventive. However, preventive is used more commonly
in English language than preventative. Why do I say preventative?
All right, folks? The preventive maintenance checkup is on special now?
(05:38):
All right, folks, the preventative maintenance checkup is on special.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Now.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
When I have that extra syllable in there, I don't
know why. I don't know what it is. It's the
cacophony to use a big, old New York Times word.
It's the way it sounds when it comes out of
your mouth, when it's butted up against other words. Preventative
works better in spoken language. And if you're advertising on
a radio programmer a podcast, well, and if you want
(06:03):
consistency between your written word and your spoken word, preventative
it is so thank you, Jerry.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
I love you.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
I love the fact that for the last decade you've
received my emails and every year, twice a year you
reply back to me and tell me you're an idiot.
Thor I love it. No, I genuinely do. I appreciate it,
so I did take the time to reply back to Jerry.
But it's the preventative maintenance check up sale that is
very preventive in what it saves your computer from.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
You know, however, we want to say it.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
It's on special right now, thirty percent off now if
you can't get your computer in right now. There's a
lot of reasoning on number one. It's very busy in
the service centers right now. So if you get your
computer in, normally we shoot for a twenty four to
a forty eight hour turnaround time. A couple of the
service centers are pushing seventy two hours right now just
because of the volume of computers in the service center.
And as I mentioned, we have ads up for just
about every service center. We are short somebody in just
(06:56):
about every service center. So fewer hands, more work means
slightly learning longer turnaround times if you can't go seventy
two hours without your computer rather than rushing in the door.
Because what ends up happening, what's happened in years past,
is we launched the sale and we say you have
to do it. It's a limited time thing. It's only
going to go on till the end of the month
and then it's over. And so people at the beginning
(07:18):
of the sale rush in to get to beat the crowd,
and at the end of the sale, they rush in
to beat the deadline. And those two events, when they happen,
the turnaround times back in the day would get to
be a week ten days.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Now.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Asking someone to go twenty four forty eight seventy two
hours without their computer, you know, you only get mild
withdrawal symptoms, but when you're talking ten days with a
third of a month without your computer, that causes a
significant disruption to just about everybody's life. And so if
we would have people coming back to pick it up
before it was done, like I.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Can't go any longer, I'd need it back. I'm Jones.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
And so we introduced this concept called the maintenance checkup Certificate.
So what this does is definitely if you want to
bring it in now, you can bring it in now.
If you're leaving vacation, if you're doing something like that,
or maybe your son, your daughter, your grandson, your granddaughter
is in town right now and they're about to go
off to college and you want to get their computer
maintenance before they go. Well, obviously, bring it in and
we'll do that. But if you don't need to do
(08:14):
it right now, maybe you were just in for a
maintenance check up a few months ago and you're not
quite do yet. It's do every six months, but maybe
it hasn't been six months yet. If that's the case,
you can purchase a certificate which allows you to save
that thirty percent now and the certificate is good for
six months, so anytime in the next six months, you
can drop that computer off at any of our service
centers or call us for a free pickup even and
(08:35):
we'll come get it. Or you can drop it off,
get it all maintenanced up, get it good to go
and back in your hands again, and it allows you
to save that thirty percent.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
And let's be honest, guys.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
You know, we had some internal meetings about stuff, and
you know it's very tough to talk about tariffs and
tariff things without getting everybody riled up. So I'm just
going to hit you with the straight facts that the
cost that we pay for things like laptop batteries, for example,
that are all sourced from China has gone up since
(09:07):
the tariffs were in place, and you know, we just
absorbed that, and we just absorbed this, and we just
absorbed that, and then all of a sudden, now India's
got a fifty percent tariff. So everything that was resourced
to India instead of China to avoid the tariff now
has a larger tariff than what's actually on China. So
now we're all running back to China ironically, I mean, it's.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Nuts, right.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
So I was talking to the guys like, you know,
we can't take much more of a tariff increase before
we're going to have to start, you know, raising the prices.
Maybe batteries have to go from one fifty to one
seventy five. You know, it's just just gonna have to happen.
So we start talking about that, and no business wants
to raise prices.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
And what you'll.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
See right now is like heah, you know, the Feds like,
where's all the inflation we expected, you know from the tariffs?
Speaker 2 (09:50):
We don't know where it went. Well.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
One of the things that businesses are doing to avoid
raising prices is they are reducing discounts. It's stealth way
to raise prices. If you were going to issue a
cupe on that was fifty percent off, but instead it's
only forty percent off.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Well, you've just raised prices ten percent. So there you go.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Now, you know, maybe maybe you're an American eagle and you
just pop a Sydney Sweeney ad and all of a sudden,
you know, you don't have to worry about your prices.
You see Baskin Robbins is getting on that train. Now
they have a whole campaign suite on Sydney coming and
it's like this.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
This woman, you know.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
And then the other day there was another Sydney Sweeney
thing that came out, apparently the uh In. And this
is totally off compute this topic, but it's really interesting.
There's a a training company that trains Hollywood actors. They
trained Keanu Reeves for John Wick. They trained him how
to shoot, They trained Keanu Reeves how to be John Wick,
(10:45):
and he can really do what you see him do
in the movie, Like he can really do all that, just.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Like a defense contractor or something pretty much.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
I mean, they're just a training company, like like an
eighty eight tactical or something. They're just like a little
like a like a training company. And so that Sydney
Sweeney must have a role coming up that requires her
to use a handgun. So she's training there, right, And
so they ran a whole promotion saying Sidney sweet Ciddy
Sweeney has great double taps, and and there's Sidney Sweeney
just like owning the range, like impressively owning the range
(11:13):
with a handgun.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Ping ping ping ping ping ping ping ping, and.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
You're like, oh my goodness, Sidney Sweeney can really shoot
that gun. We're not gonna mess with Sidney Sweeney. I
think Sidney Sweeney is a big Republican. I'm just guessing now,
is she's shooting things. She's got a lot of ads.
You can't cancel her, Like, wow, this is pretty crazy.
So you know, the maintenance checkup certificate is kind of
like that, kind of like Sidney Sidney Sweeney has great
(11:37):
maintenance checkups. I don't know, it doesn't it doesn't work
for me, but hey, I'm not basking Robin's or you know,
the shooting company, but hey, we try so for zero
two five five, eight eleven ten eight eight eight two
five zero two zero.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Nine to one.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
So you can check that out over at shock Innovations
dot com. As we've talked about many times in the
last few weeks. Click on shop and specials. Not only
will you find the maintenance checkupsificate there, you will also
find any if you're looking for a new computer. A
lot of times we have a one off deal something
it was an open box or a display model. For example,
we have we've changed our Galant line out, We've upgraded it,
(12:11):
and anyone who's bought a Gallant in the last two
months got the new one, except the one in Omaha.
We had a smashing grab problem in our Omaha service center.
People would walk in the front door, rip laptops off
the counter and run out the door. So we had
to do the whole bicycle lock thing and lock them
all down so people didn't steal them. The combination doesn't
work to get the bicycle lock off the display model,
(12:33):
so we're like, hmm, we're just gonna use a hacks
on take that off. So we might have some scuffs
on the side of that one. It's gonna get discounted
on the specials page. Perfectly fine laptop. It just we
had to cut the lock off of it. So you're
gonna see stuff like that on the specials page along
with the maintenance check up certificate and also, guys, just
a heads up here. Toward the end of this month,
it's gonna be Safe Upgrade season again. We're getting close.
(12:54):
It's it's rumored to be October for the next version
of Windows eleven. So toward the end of the month
on the specials page'll also see the safe Upgrade up
here up there as well, So just.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Some heads up on that now.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
If you missed the show last week, you can check
that out on the website as well, Schrockinnovations dot com.
Just click on radio shows up there. Last week on
the program, we updated you on the local West Omaha
Bitdefender hack situation. We told you about the options that
you have and the options that you genuinely have with
Windows ten and there are some options aside from just
replacing the computer, and which options you should choose, i e.
(13:28):
You should just replace the computer, which sounds incredibly self
serving for us to say. But here's the thing. You
can pay Microsoft thirty bucks to get one more year
of updates. You have to create a Microsoft account, which
means now you have to log in with a pin number.
That's the same as it would be if you bought
a new computer. Because you've got to do that anyway.
On Windows eleven, you have to do it. You're not
allowed to do it otherwise, unless, of course, you buy
(13:49):
your computer from Shock and then it comes set up
so you don't have to do it. But if you
want to stay on Windows ten, you must create a
Microsoft account. You must pay Microsoft thirty dollars, and then
you get the privilege of using a computer that nobody.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Else will support.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Your antivirus company won't support it, your email company won't
support it, your internet provider won't support it because it's.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
End of life.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
But Microsoft did you a solid and took your thirty
bucks and gave you one more year. So yeah, you
have options. Options you shouldn't do, but you do have options,
and we told you about them all last month or
last week on the program. We also told you about
the women only t app, you know, that app that
ranks guys from dates, and how they got hacked and how.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
I mean it was kind of karma. I mean it was.
I don't know. Maybe if I was a woman I
would feel differently.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
I don't know, but oh boy, so just we also
warned you to also be careful about what you tell
Chat GPT because people are asking chat GPT for all
kinds of medical advice and all kinds of you know,
legal advice, things like that, And there is no attorney
client privilege and there is no doctor patient confidentiality with
chat GPT. Anybody can subpoena those records or they could
(14:55):
get hacked or whatever, So just be careful.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
There are people out there that actually use chat GPT
as a therapist, like they they they take their problems
to chat their their their life and relationship problems to
chat GPT looking for solutions and help. And I'm just saying,
if you thought the TA hack was was bad, wait.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Until that comes about that rash four zero.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Two five five eight eleven ten eight eight eight two
five zero two zero nine one coming up on the
program today. I've already mentioned about shrock hiring here. The
maintenance checkup sales going on. Maintenance checkups are good preventive
versus preventive. We've done all that already once and for all. However,
can your phone get hacked? And the answers, yes, that's
(15:42):
a really bad tease. That's a really bad teas like
and the answers yes, We're moving on. But more importantly,
which phones are the most resilient against hacking. Oh now
you got to listen, So there we go. We won't
tell you that to answer right away. Also, computer of
maintenance is extremely underrated. I'm gonna give you some real
world examples of what happens after a maintenance checkup. Even
(16:04):
people with powerful computers like Holiday Specials can see that
they can actually experience the benefits of a maintenance checkup
once it's done, which is why you should have it
done every six months. Now, I posted a picture to
my personal Facebook page it's time to I don't know why,
I just decided. You know what I've been I need
to put new filters in my Mustang. I have thirteen
(16:26):
thousand miles on this car. I've never changed the air filter.
They tried to change it at grease Monkey, but they
didn't have the filters yet. And that's the same reason
I haven't changed them. Is like, for nobody had the
filters for the twenty twenty four Mustang for like eight
months after I bought it. Well, now K and N
has a nice filter. They make real ripe performance filters.
So I ordered the K and N filters for it,
and I replaced them, and I took a picture of
my filters and I said, huh, guess it's time to
(16:47):
replace the filters, and Molner huh, yeah, they were bad.
They were black and bad. They started white and they
were black. And so it's kind of like that after
I changed the air filters in the car. Because this
is a performance car, we probably wouldn't notice this in
like the in the Subaru, in the in the Dad
G Getter, But in a performance car the uptake from
(17:10):
the accelerator is much faster.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Now, I mean the car itself. I don't you know.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
The cann filters are supposed to be three additional horsepower whatever.
You're not gonna feel that on four hundred and eighty
horse power car, three horsepower whatever. But the uptake when
you push the gas pedal, something happens that definitely changed.
And that was because the car can breathe, it can
get more air. And your computer is the same way.
And we're going to get into all the reasons why
that is. How doing a maintenance checkup, while it seems
(17:35):
like such a stupid thing, Eh, maintenance though, is going
to change the filters and eh whatever, it's going to
charge me thirty percent off. Oh thanks, you know, one
of those things. Or can I go a year without
a maintenance checkup? Can I do it once a year
instead of once every six months? You can, but there's
consequences to that decision. So we're gonna go over that
with you as well. And also this week, you may
have inadvertently clicked on an advertisement placed by a Russian mobster.
(17:59):
If so, oh, and I know it happened because you
guys called the service center every day. Every single day,
this happens, and we get phone calls every single day
and every single week, and every meeting we do, every
monthly meeting, all the guys are like, thor will you
please get on the radio and tell customers if you
have a pop up come up on your screen telling
you to call the Microsoft support number, don't do it.
(18:21):
It's not Microsoft. As my seven year old Lou would say,
it's a scam.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Don't fall for it. It's a scam. Dad, anything that's
kind of shady. He's like, it's a scam. He's seven.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Everything's a scam. Well, roebucks ain't a scam. You want roebucks?
I think that's a scam. I don't fall for that one, kiddo. No,
that's roebucks, Dad, I just need some some roebucks. You know,
if you don't know what roebucks are, maybe maybe you
know what v bucks were from. Uh yeah, yeah, a
virtual gain currency so they can buy cool stuff in
their games. Four zero two five five, eight eleven ten.
(18:53):
So we don't want the Russian mobster tricking you, so
we're gonna tell you how to avoid that as well.
Let's jump into those phones real quick. Clyde, Welcome to
the program. How can I help you on compute this today?
Speaker 4 (19:03):
Good morning, Good morning, wonderful program and company you run?
Thank you? Can you hear me?
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Yes? I can, thank you. I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
Okay, I just wanted to make sure real quick, this
iPhone's asking me to do this eighteen point six update.
And two quick questions. Is that update safe to install?
And the reason why I ask is because I thought
(19:33):
I heard something about it taking away battery life or
tracking me or something on this particular update. And then
the other question is are these critically important to do
every time on these iPhones? These these updates are not.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Or absolutely so? Great questions? The first of all, yes,
you want to do the updates. You want to do
the updates because Apple is very opaque about what is
going wrong with their phones or what kind of hacks
are happening. We're going to talk about cell phones getting
hacked here in the next segment. When that happens, Apple
puts out a patch, and that patch is often released
(20:10):
as part of a new operating system eighteen point six.
There are security improvements in eighteen point six. You definitely
want to answer your other question, Yes, it is going
to impact your battery life. Every iOS update does. So
when you install a new version of Apple's iOS on
your iPhone, for about twenty four hours after that install happens,
Apple is indexing, sorting updating all the apps on your phone.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Act.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
So what I always encourage people to do is if
you're going to install a new iOS update, best time
to do that is before you go to bed, put
the phone on the charger. Apple will take care of
battery health and everything. You don't have to worry about
it charging in appropriately or whatever. But it will keep
the phone from running down. Because that first day after
you do an update with Apple iOS, I mean you're talking,
(20:56):
by the end of the day, your phone is a brick.
It's dead because the battery is the phone will be
hot all day because it's working so hard. So definitely
you're definitely gonna see reduced battery performance.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
But just for a short period of time.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
As far as bugs, every version has bugs, there's gonna
be like an eighteen point six point one to address
the bugs, and then that's gonna cause more bugs. They'll
be like an eighteen point six point two that's going
to address the bugs from eighteen point six point one,
so on and so forth. So definitely get those updates though,
because there they are what keeps you from getting hacked.
At what we're going to talk about in the next segment.
Great questions, Clyde, thank you for the call. We have
(21:29):
you in the drawing as well for a twenty five
dollars Shock Innovations gift certificate. All right for zero two
five five eight eleven ten. That's how you do it.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Eight eight eight two five zero two zero nine to one.
We're gonna take a break, care folks when we come
back once and for all. Can your phone get infected?
But more importantly, Android or iOS? Which one is safer
to use? We're gonna tell you coming up next on
compute this.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Remember the good old days, when virus detection worked, like
where's Waldo? Spot the virus and the striped shirt and
you win. Today's infections are changing hourly to avoid detection
and use social engineering to trick you into making mistakes.
Using yesterday's security to defend against today's threats is like
using leeches to stop an infection. It just doesn't work.
(22:12):
We recommend Sophos intercept x anti virus backed by Shrocks
Virus free guarantee. SOFOS uses the power of AI to
detect the patterns of a virus attack and responds with
Shock's custom actions that stop it fast. With Sofos on
your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you get the

You know your computer needs modern antivirus, and you know
using a VPN helps protect your identity online. But did
you know that all of that protection could be useless
if you're running outdated programs. We all run common free
software like Adobe Reader, drop Box, Firefox, and Chrome. Every day.
There are critical security updates for these common programs that
(23:24):
don't get automatically installed for up to two weeks. That's
an eternity in today's world. That's why Shrock created Secure Updata.
Secure Update checks for and installs these critical updates every
eight hours, boosting your antivirus by closing off attack vectors
before they can be used to penetrate your computer. Go

Speaker 2 (24:13):
That's right, folks.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Ava and I are currently in negotiations on what her
royalties will be for recording the next compute. This commercials
and then we hear Scott doing the antivirus commercial and
he's like, it's like using leeches to remove an infection,
and then he helpfully adds that doesn't work.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
He does that deadpan like that doesn't work. Good at
the dry humor. That doesn't work, by the way, in
case you were wondering leeches, it doesn't work.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Oh golly, four zero, two, five, five, eight eleven tens
number to join us on the program today looking in
at Facebook dot com slash shraw innovations. You can watch
the show live. If you like to watch your radio.
It's a little bit more interesting than watching the one
on the counter. You can watch it at Facebook dot
com slash shraw Innovations. Aaron says that her phone wants
to do eighteen point six update as well. I thought
it was gonna do it last night, but it didn't.
(25:02):
Might be too full, and that's a great point something
I should point out. When your device is too full,
it can't download safety and security updates. So once again,
this is gonna be a common theme as we talk
about maintenance stuff because the same thing applies to your computer.
If your hard drive gets too full, bad bad things happen.
If your iPhone or your iPad or your Android device
get too full, bad bad things are going to happen
(25:24):
as well, which is why you never buy this The
smallest version never buy. Used to be it never buy
the sixteen gig version. Now it's never buy the one
hundred and twenty eight gig version. Talk about storage inflation.
You remember when iPhones, when the low iPhone was sixteen gig.
Now the low iPhone is one hundred and twenty eight gig,
not sixty four, but one twenty eight for the entry
(25:46):
level model. And you know, I got my new phone,
it was like, you want the one terabyte version, And
I looked at my old phone and I was like,
I didn't use close to a terabyte. I wasn't even
half full. So I'm like, I'll take the five to
twelve and say one hundred bucks. But if your phone
is too full, it won't get those security updates automatically
or at all. So just a heads up there for
zero two five, five, eight, eleven, ten. Now real quickly
one of the things that people get confused about, and
(26:10):
maybe if part of this is my fault, because back
in the day, I remember giving this advice on the radio.
If you're trying, if you get an email, to go
to a website rather than using your computer together, I said,
just click on the link on your phone, because your
phone can't get infected the same way your computer does.
And that is still absolutely true. There are way more
infections for MAX and PCs than there are for phones. However,
(26:30):
it is changing, and it is changing rapidly. For example,
which is safer Android versus Apple? The answer is technically
Apple is a safer operating system to use because they
use this walled garden approach, which is they're going to
have to get away from because they just got sued
and so you can't box people out of the walded
(26:51):
garden ecosystem and then you know, not let them in
basically deny them access to all the people. So essentially
it's been ruled in court now that they're gonna have
to kind of tear some of that down. But right
now it's a walled ecosystem, which means Apple has stringent
approval policies for every app that goes into the App Store,
and realistically, guys, there's only two ways for your phones
to get infected. The only way for an infection to
(27:12):
carry through a reboot is if it's an app on
your phone, and most phones get infected with things that
are cleared by simply rebooting the phone. So that's the trick,
knowing when to reboot, how often to reboot. My Android
phone now reboots automatically every so many days. It's just
baked into the operating system. We're gonna warne me. It's
going to reboot overnight and when I wake up in
(27:34):
the morning, gets rebooted. I mean, it's whatever, but you
know it clears out any potential infections out of active memory.
Now here's the Here's the catch though, because there's always
a catch. Apple users believe they are safer, Therefore they
tend to engage in riskier activities with their device. Android
users are a little more paranoid. Android users are like
(27:54):
my seven year.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Old, it's a scam.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Don't do it, and never buy anything off Facebook. Ever,
if you see it on Facebook, do not buy it
off Facebook.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
I bought something off Facebook. This week. I'll let you
know how it goes. Last time it didn't go so well.
Speaker 7 (28:06):
It was.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
It's a power motorized yard card. It's pretty amazing. It's
like it's like a wagon with a segue on the
end of it, and yeah, like they get guy's hauling
logs up a mountain with it. I don't know what
I'm gonna hal with it, but I'm gonna hold something
with it, and it's gonna be amazing. It was three
hundred dollars. I'm like, that could be fun. Maybe I'll
put my seven year old in and he warned me
(28:28):
it's a scam. So so you know, if you're an
Android user, you're you're like that paranoid seven year old.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
It's a scam. Don't do it those wheels.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yeah, if you're an Apple user, you're like, wow, this
is like Elon's new invention.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
This is amazing.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I'm gonna buy five and here keep my credit card
on file for future purchases. It'll be fine. It's great.
You know, you're an Apple user, you're just very You
believe that you're safe because Apple wants you to believe
you're safe, so they do things to make you believe
you're safe, when in actuality you're not always safe. For example,
people were getting infected through I calendar. Yeah, so I
(29:04):
mean trust me, guys. iPhones get targeted, typically by state actors.
Governments like the Israeli government hacks iPhones all day long.
They hack it like it's their job. When the FBI
can't get into an iPhone, you know who, they call Israel,
and Israel's like, hold on, let me remote into it. Okay, done,
(29:25):
here it is, it's unlocked.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Have a great day. That'll be. Let'll be.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
That'll be one one bunker buster bomb please, thank you. Yeah,
it's there. It happens to Apple users all the time.
So even if you work for a security research company,
like a whole bunch of people that work for kaspirsky Labs,
the Russian anti malware research company, the entire company had
(29:48):
all their phones infected and they're in the business of
making sure things don't get infected. So it can happen
to anybody, it can happen to you. So this isn't
really an ad for sofas, but sofos is available for Mac,
for PC, and for your phones, both iPhone and Android.
And we'd even discount it if you don't pay like
(30:10):
the regular price you pay for a computer to have coverage.
You just pay the renewal price to I mean, we
keep the price as low as we can so that
you can keep your mobile device protected. If you found that,
maybe you can go seventy two hours without your computer. Now,
because you have your phone or your tablet and you
don't protect that phone or tablet the same way you
would protect your computer, you're in for a root awakening.
(30:30):
So just heads up on that, pay attention to the
security of your mobile devices, and definitely install those updates
and patches. Four zero two five five eight eleven ten
eight eight eight two five zero two zero nine to one.
We're a little bit behind schedule because that first segment
went a little long. We're going to take a quick
break when we come back. Rick, you got your WiFi question,
which is hilarious because there was actually a story that
I was going to cover, but then I said, ah,
(30:51):
that's two in the weeds. I'm not going to mess
with it. But it was literally, what do you which
which type of WiFi is better for your house? So okay, Rick,
I guess you're running this. Shh, We're going to do it.
And then Bob, we'll get your call. Also coming up
next on compute this, there are.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
Enough unused computers in storage to give every man, woman,
and child in the US an old, outdated, and useless
computer system. Obsolete tablets and smartphones are nearly as bad.
Most people know not to throw them into the landfill
where they leak and contaminate, but it's hard to find
a place to safely recycle electronics. That's why Shrock Innovations
offers free recycling for computers, laptops, phones, tablets, cords, and accessories.
(31:30):
In fact, only monitors and printers have a small recycling fee.
Everything else is free. More importantly, Schrock will securely delete
any data from your devices and hard drives before they
are sent to a certified recycling partner, who will then
repeat the wiping process just to be saved. When you
recycle your old technology at Shrock, you know your identity
(31:50):
and privacy are protected and your equipment is being actually
recycled by a certified recycling partner. Shock is proud to
recycle more e waste than we produce annual, making a
positive difference to our economy and ecology. Do your part
by dropping your old gear at any Shrock service center
and be part of the area's largest and most popular
(32:10):
technology recycling program, wis Shrock Innovations.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
Today's fragile computers need maintenance more than ever. Your computer
needs a maintenance check up every six months to last
beyond it's eighteen month expected lifespan.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
You would probably rather drink the water at Camp La
June than get another call about the desperate need to
renew your cars expiring warranty. Who actually responds to those calls.
Everyone wants to play the warranty game where you pay
money now just in case you need service later that
everyone hopes you won't need or use. It's such a waste.
It's no different with computers. Major manufacturers warranties have more
(32:47):
subscript crosses than a Sunday morning church service. Batteries are exempt.
Hard dripes must be completely dead, and forget about anything
that they can remotely clean as physical damage. That's why
Shrock warranties are different. When you purchase a modul or
PC or a solid state laptop and extend your warranty,
we offer a no risk money back guarantee. If you
(33:07):
need the warranty, you will be thrilled to have it
if you don't use it, and we refund your money
automatically every time.
Speaker 7 (33:14):
That's right.
Speaker 6 (33:14):
We are so confident in the quality of our products
that are extended warranties are refundable. Many Shock customers use
their refunds to purchase another warranty or pocket the savings
and move on. We all know you'll need it to
cover that expiring car warranty.
Speaker 7 (33:29):
Anyway.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
Shocks refundable extended warranties just another way. The Shrock Innovations
Computer Company makes your computer work for you.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
All righty guys, welcome back in to compute this. My
name is Thor Schrock.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
I'm the owner of the Shock Innovations Computer Company, where
we have four locations to help you out with your machines,
your computers, your phones, all that stuff. When you have
tech problems, you can bring them into the original Shock
Innovations just south of fourteenth and Pine Lake Road in Lincoln.
You can go to OW one hundred and sixty eighth
in Burke Street, just across the street from the Village
Point Mall, where the rent is slightly cheaper. In the
(34:06):
Papilion area. You can drop off at eighty fourth and
Highway three seventy in the Midlands Play shopping Center, or
even in West Des Moines, Iowa ninety four hundred University Avenue.
You can drop off there for the maintenance checkup going
on right now thirty percent off, while when a limited
time offer Asterik, Asterisk, Starstar, everything like that. Honestly, guys,
we sent an email and most of the people from
(34:27):
the email are regular Shock customers. They've been here, they've
done that, they know to buy the certificate, so they did.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
They bought the certificate.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
We didn't see a flood of computers coming in because
we sent the email. We usually see the flood of
computers coming in after we do the radio show. So
if you want to get your computer in, we are
open Saturday from ten until eight. We're open Sunday from
noon to five. Of course, every other day of the
week we're open from ten in the morning till eight
in the evening. You can drop off, come in, do
whatever you need to do. But if you get in early,
(34:57):
you get your computer back much faster than if you
bring it in late. So try to get in early
if you're going to bring it in. Otherwise, just pick
up a certificate on the specials page. Go to shop
and specials at Shrock Innovations dot com. Four zero two,
five five, eight eleven ten, Bob or excuse me, Rick,
Rick was first, Rick, Welcome to the program. You have
a question about Wi Fi in your house. I understand,
(35:18):
yes to do well, how can I help you today?
Speaker 8 (35:21):
What we have centuryly on and it's on the main
floor of the house. And I'm wanting to go to
the basement and set up an office down there. And
when I get to the far end of the basement,
I can't pick up the Wi Fi. What can I
do to extend this or get it to go down
there farther?
Speaker 3 (35:40):
You know, Rick, doesn't that happen to every guy? We
eventually our office ends up in the basement, We get banished,
you know, it just it just happens.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
We always let me.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
I would prefer to work, you know, in a hole
in the ground, honestly, rather than at the top of
a building with a window. But that's just me, you know,
just me, that earthy, that earthy moist smell.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Actually, there was an article that I was looking at
to possibly including the program today that was talking about
which type of Wi Fi is better for you? Traditional
Wi Fi, which is what you have right now, or
a mesh Wi Fi system. So the TLDR long story
short is, you have a traditional Wi Fi system, which
(36:20):
can lead to dead spots right now, and that's what
most people have. Most people have a router, a single
router that broadcasts a signal from a central point somewhere
in the house and it gets to most places in
the house just fine, but there are some areas that
it doesn't quite reach as well. On the other hand,
a mesh system has multiple routers positioned throughout the home
and they work together, they connect to each other. We
(36:41):
used to call this like a Wi Fi repeater back
in the day, and essentially it's a bunch of repeaters
and so you have one Wi Fi network, but it's
broadcast through multiple access points. This is the same setup
that you would see it like a university or a
large corporation or something like that, where they have a
lot of square footage to cover they want to put
Wi Fi throughout the entire area. Now, the systems are
more expensive because you have to purchase several routers, But
(37:04):
if you play your cards right and you're careful about
what router you buy in the first place, you can
have the best of both worlds.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Let me give you the example. The TP link.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Routers or the Asus routers, either one that we sell
at Shrock can be put into standalone mode or access
point mode. Essentially you can make a mesh network. So
what you need to do for your dead spots is
you essentially need a repeater. You can buy a Wi
Fi repeater. You know, you can get one on Amazon.
We don't really sell them at Shrock, but you know
we can order one for you if you'd like us to.
(37:33):
But you can and try to get the same brand
as the as the router that you have.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Now it'll work better.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
It'll just be unless you I think you said you
mentioned you have a windstream, so you probably have like
the generic like, uh, the one that was provided by
the ISP, is that correct, cent Central Link?
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (37:51):
So yeah, so it doesn't really matter which one you
buy because you're not gonna be able to buy the
same one as Centry Link. But the other thing, you know,
if we were setting this up and we were going
to say, let's do it right from the get go,
the thing to do right from the get go is
to pick up an a souce router that has all
of the security protections involved that we like, and then
get a second a sous router and set that up
in access point mode. So buying two one hundred and
(38:14):
sixty dollars routers is the right way to do this.
Speaker 7 (38:17):
Now.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
The cheaper way to do this is to use the
router that you have now and just buy an extender.
An extender it plugs in kind of like a smoke detector,
just plugs right into the power to an outlet in
the house, and then you push the button on the
side and it synchronizes with the wireless network and voila.
You know, a couple settings on the computer and your
set up. It's pretty easy to do actually, and if
(38:38):
you need help, it's something that we can help you
with also, we can come out and set it up
for you. But you put it on the edge of
the Wi Fi network, so in the basement, for example,
you would put it down in the basement where you
have a really good signal, and essentially it rebroadcasts that
signal again as a separate Wi Fi network, So you'd
call it like you know, RIX house basement, and then
when you're in your office you would be connecting to
(38:59):
RIX house base, which is that router that's plugged into
the power outlet in the wall. Then then that's connecting
to the main router upstairs. So it's kind of like
a bridge. It just gets you there. And those those things.
You can buy cheap ones for sixty or seventy bucks.
You can buy nice ones for like one hundred and
fifty bucks. It just depends on what you're what you're
trying to do, and you know how much day trading
you're doing in the basement, you know.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Okay, does that answer the question?
Speaker 8 (39:24):
Buy the extenders anywhere?
Speaker 7 (39:26):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Yeah, get them on Amazon.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Get them you can go if you want to look
at them, you can go into best Buy and choose
from the the Goldilocks, the three they have there. Otherwise,
if you go on to Amazon, you'll have a wide
variety of selections to make. The cheapest ones are all
going to be made in China, so if that's a
concern to you, well keep that in mind. The Asus
models are all made in Taiwan, which I know it's
(39:49):
not America. There isn't really one that's made in America.
Taiwan is better than China, though, so you know, take
that with a grain of salt. That's why we switched
our routers over to the to the A SUS routers,
so we weren't using a maid in China rot or.
We were using something that might have some degree of
security protection.
Speaker 8 (40:06):
Essentially, okay, I'll work at that.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Thank you, all right, hey, thank you, Rick, appreciate the
call today for zero, two, five, five, eight, eleven to ten.
You can be like Rick can get yourself in the
drunk for the twenty five dollars Shock Innovations gift certificate.
So really quickly, when you guys come in for computer maintenance,
we do eight hours of work on your computer for
essentially sixty nine ninety nine. It's illegal. I mean if
I paid the guys you know sixty nine to ninety
(40:31):
nine to work for eight hours. Is that minimum wage Nebraska?
It won't be for long. It keeps going up. It's
going to be fifteen bucks an hour next year, I think.
And so it's like no, so eight hours that would
know it'd be illegal. I'm breaking the law. I'm breaking
the law for you because I care about you. So
let me break the law. Let me take the heat.
You just get a maintenance computer. That's how this works.
(40:53):
But no, when we clean up your computer on a
maintenance checkup, there's of course the physical aspect of cleaning
the computer itself. This is very much like the air
filters are described to my car. You know, when you
change those filters, all of a sudden, the car can
breathe again.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
Well, in your.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
Computer, there's not necessarily a filter, although in some models,
especially holiday specials, you do have a pre filter you
may not even know about. If you look at the
bottom of your computer tower, a lot of times there's
a removable filter there, and if that filter gets clogged,
your power supply is not getting any air, or it's
trying to suck air from inside the computer where the
air is warm, and that reduces the life of your
power supply. So sometimes there's just physical cleaning. You know,
(41:32):
if you look at your motherboard, if you have a
computer that has a window on the side, and you
look at the circuit board that everything is plugged into,
you're going to notice there's a few chunks of metal
on that circuit board. Those are passive heat sinks. They
take the heat from the chips that work really hard
from time to time, but not all the time, and
they radiate that heat off into the environment so that
it gets off of the board. Well, those get dusty
(41:55):
and dirty, just like anything else, and they lose their
ability to transfer the heat into the air. And when
that happens, your computer overheats. Doesn't like to overheat, so
it slows down to prevent itself from overheating. Same thing
with your CPU fan. Your CPU fan is a radiator
with a fan on top, and that radiator it gets
a static electric charge on it because it's got a
fan spinning on top of it, and eventually dust particles
(42:18):
especially I mean, I hate to say it, but you know,
if you smoke, or if you I'm trying to think
of that, if you're a big cheech and chong fan,
if you know what I mean, that smoke, Oh, that
smoke is just replace the thing, Just replace the heat sink.
Do not even try to clean it. There is no
(42:39):
cleaning it. I mean, you can put it in a
sonic cleaner. That stuff doesn't come off. Imagine what that's
doing to your lungs. But anyway, I'm not going to judge.
So if you have pets, you know, if you maintain
a very clean household, guess what your computer's filthy inside
it's the only place in your house where dirt can hide.
So it goes there, and it high there, and it
(43:01):
just and then eventually your your your brain, the CPU
of your computer can't breathe, and it slows itself down
to keep you to keep it from crashing, which makes
your computer run more slowly. I already mentioned clearing the
cash a simple thing. You know, all all the recent
documents you've opened, all the recent apps that you have launched,
all the all the log files for everything that's recording,
(43:22):
just in case something goes wrong, you want a log file,
you can go back and see. Well, those things take
up space, They take up time to process when you
start your computer, when you shut down your computer, when
you open programs. So when we clear all of that
out during a maintenance checkup and you get it back,
you know, so fresh and so clean. Everything is quicker,
Everything is faster because it's not processing through a litany
(43:43):
of everything you've done with the computer for the last
six months. Just to open the calculator app. Try that
on your computer, Hit start, type calc, hit enter. See
how long it takes to open the calculator. It should
not take It should be like boom, it's a calculator.
It's not like you're loading you know, like Outlook or something,
you're loading a million emails. It's the calculator. You're not
even asking it to calculate anything yet, it's just the program. Now,
(44:07):
one area that everybody ignores that if you've been following
our Facebook page you don't want to ignore, is your
laptop's battery. You take it for granted. It stores energy.
You hit the power button, it turns on, turns off.
Laptop batteries over time degrade. They eventually degrade to the
point where they fail, and if they fail hard, they
(44:27):
catch on fire, like that surface book in the des
Moin service center we took pictures of. So you don't
want that happening to your computer. So when your computer
is infra maintenance check up, if it's a laptop, we
check its battery and we let you know, hey, your
battery is. If it's below eighty percent, we're like, hey,
it's time to start thinking about a replacement here. If
it's below fifty percent, we're like, would you like us
(44:48):
to disconnect the battery or replace the battery because it's
not safe. So those are some things we need to
take a look at the new generation NVMe solid state
hard drives I mentioned. If they get two they wear,
they wear terribly fast and they fail. But before they fail,
they get slow. We tested the speed test of the
(45:10):
Holiday special laptops and VME just to see how fast
it was. Two thousand, seven hundred megabytes per second for
the twenty twenty five Holiday Special. It is phenomenally fast.
You know what we call failing under three hundred. So
if you go from two thousand, seven hundred miles an
hour to a car that can only go three hundred,
your hard drive's about to die. You need to replace it.
(45:33):
We check for that during the maintenance check up. And
of course memory errors. Memory is weird in modern computers
because of everything is randomized for security purposes.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
So it used to be back in the day, was predictable.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
You could start the computer and it would get to
this point and they would have a crash, and it
would do it every time. Well, now with Windows eleven,
when you start the computer, maybe only one in five
times it'll crash because the memory is randomized where it
starts from, so you don't have that same hit every
time at the same bad spot in the memory. We
test your memory to make sure there are no bad spots.
So if you're getting random blue screens or now they're
called black screens that are causing you to reboot your computer,
(46:09):
most of the time it's bad memory causing that, and
we check for that during the maintenance checking. So every
six months, you've got to get it done. And I
got to take a quick break.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
When we come back here, we're going to jump into
Bob's call real quick. And then the last topic I've
got for you today Russian mobsters. Did you click on
a Russian mobster's ad this week? There's a good chance
you may have, because you probably called the service center
about it. We're going to tell you what's going on

Speaker 3 (49:07):
All right, guys, thanks for sticking with us here on
the program today. You're listening to compute this. My name
is Thor Schrock. I'm the owner of these Shrock Innovations
computer company. Let's jump in for the final call here
of the show. Here we've got is it Robert Bob?
All right, so there's a Bob and there's a Robert,
so Bob, Bob, Bob, thank you for thank you for
hanging on the line.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
I appreciate your patience. And how can I help you
today on compute?
Speaker 7 (49:29):
Sure, thank you so much for taking my call. Let
me start off so you know who you're talking to.
I'm gonna be ay in October, so so you know
that technology wise, I'm probably pretty backwards. But I have
an old HP laptop that has Windows on it, and
(49:49):
I need to have a computer with Windows eleven on it, right,
and my computer is too old to download that, so
I have to get a new computer. So my question is,
can I bring my computer to you and have you
make a new computer for me, or download everything that's
(50:09):
on my computer to a new computer and have that
new computer look in at just like the one that
I'm bringing you.
Speaker 2 (50:17):
Great question.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
So we can do a lot, Bob to make it
look very, very very similar. There are a lot of
options that we can do in Windows eleven to tweak
the visual appearance, so it kind of looks like Windows ten.
From an applications perspective, we have something called an advanced
data transfer where we actually move not just your files,
but your programs and your settings as well, and.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
So we try.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
The objective there is that when you take the computer home,
you're able to use it on day one, just like
you used to be able to use it. So the
answer to your question is absolutely yes, we have we
can build you any kind of computer you want or
you know, we're going to be launching the Holiday Special
a little bit early this year because of the Windows
ten you know, expiration essentially in October, so we're going
(51:00):
to try to launch that in October this year a
little bit quietly. You know, we're not going to make
a big hubbub about the Holiday Special before Halloween, but
you know, we want it to be available in the
service centers. And it is an amazing computer this I
was just talking a little bit about it. So we're
going to definitely have some options for you to make
sure that you can get into a computer that's going
to be right for you, whether you know, for whatever
you're using it for. And then not only will we
(51:20):
help you transfer everything, but after you take that computer home,
whenever you put anybody who buys a computer from Shock
gets ninety days of the Shock desk for free. So
the idea there is when you get home, if you
need to help getting your printer set up, if you
need help getting anything set up again with the computer,
We're there to help you out with it. And there's
not an additional cost for that. It just ninety days
comes baked into the price of the computer.
Speaker 7 (51:41):
You just read my mind. That was my next question
with to see if I have need help setting it
up on my on my printer and everything, and I
don't necessarily need one filled. If you have a computer enter,
then you can switch everything over. Now, as far as
you said your fall specials, should I wait to bring
(52:03):
my computer into Hat to take advantage of that or
when should I bring it in?
Speaker 3 (52:07):
It's completely up to you. The holiday special in the
Fall is a sixteen hundred dollars laptop. It is It
is the big Dog of Big Dog AI, capable everything,
every bell and whistle. It has an RGB backlit keyboard
that means the colors under the keys change red, blue,
and green. So I mean it's it, or you can
(52:29):
just have it steady whatever you want. I mean the
ridiculous options that might be overkilled for what you're using
your computer for. So you might be able to come
in and get something that's a little more reasonably priced
than the seven to eight hundred dollars range and have
a great experience.
Speaker 2 (52:43):
So and those are always available.
Speaker 7 (52:45):
At truck because I just use my computer for emails
and I've got some some files on it and stuff
like that, and I use it for turbot decks and
things like that.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
But absolutely, just if you want to bring that in
to Shock, we can go ahead and just do that
anytime for you. I don't know that the holiday special
is something you need to wait for it unless you
want to, and then you can all right really quickly.
If you get a pop up on your screen saying
that your computer is infected by anything and call the
eight hundred number, please do not call the eight hundred number.
Never call the eight hundred number. It's always a scam.
(53:18):
Just like Lou would tell you, it's always a scam.
Don't fall for it. If you need help getting rid
of the pop up, just call us in the service center.
We can walk you through it over the phone in
ten seconds or less to get it off your screen.
Russian mobsters are responsible for those, and we don't want
you supporting the Russian mafia, all right, Today's winner is Bob. Congratulations, Bob,
you got yourself a twenty five dollars Shock Innovations gift certificate.
(53:41):
We'll get that out to you on Monday, and we'll
see you all again next weekend for another edition of
