Speaker 1 (00:01):
Shrock Innovations presents the midwest number one independent computer repair
company with service centers and Lincoln, Omaha, Papillion, Des Moines,
and across the country via the Shrock Desk. This is
Compute This.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Hello, folks, and welcome in to compute this. My name
is Thor Schrock. I'm the owner of the Shrock Innovations
computer company with four locations to help you out when
your computer's on the fritz, when it needs some maintenance,
when you've got a problem, when it doesn't when it
doesn't want to compute, we can make it compute for you.
We have the original Shock Innovations location seventy five oh
(00:37):
one South fifteenth Street, just south of fourteenth and Pine
Lake Road in Lincoln. In Omaha one hundred and sixty
eighth and Burke Street, right across the street from the
Village Point shopping Center, where the rent is slightly cheaper, slightly,
very slightly. The Papillion location is at two four nine
Olson Drive, that is off eighty fourth and Highway three
(00:59):
seventy in the Midland's Place shopping center. And also we've
got the very newest Shock Innovations located at ninety five
hundred blanked out for a second. They're ninety five hundred
University Avenue in West Des Moines, Iowa. Now, there are
some numbers that you can use to join us this
morning on the program. If you'd like to call in,
(01:21):
ask a question, make a comment, be a part of
the program in some way. We do give away a
twenty five dollars Shrock Innovations gift certificate. At the conclusion
of the program, we draw randomly among the people who
call into the show and let you know. Basically, you
know who's going to win that and so we'll tell
you who the winner is there here toward the end
of the program. So if you want to be a
part of the show, you can give us a call
(01:42):
four zero two five five eight eleven ten, or if
you're outside of the metro area, you can call in
at eight eight eight two five zero two zero nine one.
So last week on the program, we spent a lot
of time talking about maintenance maintenance checkups, what you need
to do, why you need them, why they're important. I'm
not going to bore you to death with another show
about maintenance checkups, because no matter what we do, as
(02:05):
we as we discussed, not even Sydney Sweeney can make
maintenance check up sexy. It just can't be done. Changing
the filters is never fun, but it's something that if
you don't do, will come back to bite you eventually.
And so one of the things that we want to
make sure at Shrock that we're doing and we're taking
care of your technology and we're letting you know what
you need to do with it. I can tell you
(02:25):
to do it, I can tell you why it's important.
I can tell you the consequences if you don't do it.
I can put it on special for you for thirty
percent off, to give you a special deal to move
you off the X, to get you to commit to
doing this maintenance. This is the last week. After this week, guys,
it goes back up to the normal price and then
(02:46):
I'll stop talking about it. And you still need to
do it, but it's just you're gonna pay more and
you know you have to wait. So right now the
service centers are, as I mentioned at the very beginning
of the sale. We get very busy at the start
of the sale and we get very busy at the
end of the sale. So right now the service centers
are a little bit backed up, especially the Omaha Service Center.
I heard Kyle quoting somebody a weak turn on a
(03:07):
seven day turn on a repair job the other day.
So we brought in some extra guns to UH to.
I shouldn't say guns, right, I should say we brought
in we brought in some extra hitters. No, no, that's
not right either. We brought in we brought in some
extra technicians to UH to help to do the job
nice save. Yeah, there we go. Technicians, technicians. They're not
(03:27):
pipe hitters. They're technicians.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
You know.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
They don't destroy your technology and beat it into submission.
They just fix it gently, pleasantly, with a kind touch.
They're technicians. And so we brought in some extra technicians
over in the Omaha Service Center to get those turnaround
times down a bit. So I would suggest if you
do have a maintenance checkup certificate, if you recall, you
can go to Shrock Innovations dot com. You can click
(03:52):
on shop and Specials where all the you know one
off computers display models. I happen to know this week
we will have some more display models coming up on that,
at least one for sure, maybe two that you can
take a look at on special But the maintenance certificate
is on that page as well, the Shop and Specials page,
and so when you pick that up, it's good for
(04:12):
six months. You can use it anytime in the next
six months. So if you do want to take advantage
of the maintenance sale, but you don't want to get
stuck in a seven day turnaround time, or you know,
have to bring it in right now this week because
you have other things going on, all you need to
do is pick up one of those certificates at Shrock
Innovations dot com, click on Shop and Specials. By a certificate.
You can use it anytime you want in the next
(04:33):
six months. So once the load goes down here at
the end of this week, you can come on in
with the maintenance certificate, get the maintenance check up done,
get your computer back you know, twenty four to forty
eight hours like always, and get it back to you
in good hands. Coming up on the program today, I've
got a fun show for you guys today. This is
I was doing the show prep today and there are
some shows where you're just struggling. You're like, there is
(04:55):
no news, there is nothing interesting. In Total's financial report,
the US go government's water ten percent steak in Intel. Wow,
who cares? I wouldn't buy a ten percent steak in Intel.
I don't know what the hell they're thinking, you know, wow,
ten Intel hasn't done anything in a decade. There's chips
are burning themselves up there, literally on fire. The Intel
is literally on fire. The government's like, I think we
(05:16):
should buy ten percent. Okay, so they did. So who
wants to talk about that? Right? I mean that's the story.
Now what are we going to talk about? Okay, Well,
what we can talk about is there's a Microsoft update
that's causing your hard drive to disappear under certain circumstances.
I'm going to tell you what those circumstances are and
(05:37):
what the update is in case you want to uninstall it.
If you're a gamer, you want to uninstall it. You
can buy anything on Amazon anything. I bought a rain
barrel on Amazon this week. Yes, the Bitcoin Mind and
Be Actress has no running water, you see, and we
spray for weeds, and you know, we need water for
the sonic cleaners, and we're cart and water in a
gallon jug at a time, and it gets really old.
(05:59):
And I thought one day it was raining there and
I'm like I'm gonna refill these jugs from the down spout.
And I did, and it was great. I got free
water and it was like eight dollars of free water.
But I felt empowered. I felt like a man because
I was refilling the water from the rain, you know, like, yeah,
free water, and I'm like, I'm getting a rain barrel.
We're gonna we're gonna put a rain bow. So, I mean,
you can order anything on Amazon. I ordered a battery
(06:20):
for a riding lawnmower from Amazon. Normally you'd have to
go to a lawn More store and buy that battery,
buy it on Amazon. Now you can buy anything on Amazon.
And now you can even buy used cars on Amazon.
We're gonna tell you about that. Not sure that's a
great deal, but you know it hurts. Is full of
great ideas these days, if you've been listening to the news,
so we'll tell you what's going on there. Also, I
(06:41):
know a lot of you are, i'll say, divided on
AI and its impact in the world around us and
what we do with it, and how it's gonna replace
jobs and put people out of work, and it's also
going to create jobs, but they're not jobs that the people.
The people who are replace by AI aren't going to
(07:01):
be able to go get the AI jobs because AI
disproportionately replaces low skilled labor. So if you're requiring high
skilled people to build AI applications, low skilled people can't
do that, and so you've got some issues there. Well,
if you're one of the people who's concerned about how
AI is going to impact the job market or maybe
even your job, I am going to tell you what
(07:23):
one guy did to give himself a little job security,
and it did not end well for him. So I
would recommend you do not take the path that he
took because it ended up putting him in jail. But
the company sure did pay a price when they downsize
this guy. It was bad. So we're going to tell
you the ultimate unemployment insurance and why you should not
(07:45):
do it. Coming up on the program today, there will
be an aftershock after the show today. I know a
lot of you have been looking forward to that. On
the aftershock, we'll talk some Ukraine stuff. We'll talk about
some crypto, some ethereum moves that are happening. Also an
update on chat GPT failing me and how I learned
to use Python. Last night My wife came downstairs and
(08:05):
she was like, the kids need to go to bed.
It's like two hours past bedtime. She blinked the lights
and I didn't even realize she blinked the lights because
I was so like, I'm learning how to code. So yeah,
you know, learned how to do some Python. I didn't
learn Python, yes, I just learned how to do some
things in Python yesterday. So anyway to do something that
an iPhone can do by defaults, that's the level ais at.
(08:26):
My wife's like, I could just do that with my iPhone.
You want to just put the pictures on my iPhone
and I can make a slide show like no, I'm
gonna use chat GBT to do it, and it's gonna
make me run a Python script and blah blah blah
blah blah. And I worked really really hard to do
something that my wife's iPhone apparently can do automatically. So
we'll talk about that during the Aftershock, as well as
well as a Disney World recap. My wife and family
(08:47):
and I went to Disney World last week. That's why
the show was recorded last week. And whenever I come
back from Disney World, I always share my experience oft
because a lot of people, you know, Disney's one of
those things, those polarizing things that people either are like,
oh Disney, you're a bunch of groomers, or oh Disney,
nothing can go wrong with them. On a Disney adult
They're amazing. I love them, And you know, I'm somewhere
(09:09):
in the middle. I'm a little more practical with it.
But I'm going to share some insights from our trip
there and things that went well and things that didn't
go well, stuff like that. Yeah, so it was a
fun trip overall. Four zero, two, five, five, eight eleven
ten is the number to join us on the program. Shawn,
Welcome to the program. How can I help you today
on compute.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
This good morning, So thanks for getting up so early
on a Sunday to help us out.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
No sweat.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Hey, I'm having trouble to booting up a Dell Latitude
fifty five oh one. It goes through bios, it won't
boot up, then it goes right to a blue screen.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
So I messed around with f twelve and when I
was in the bios, it gave the boot sequence was
on board and I see or my crime five twelve GP.
But Now, well, after going through the Dell F twelve,
(10:05):
now it shows a Windows Boot manager. So what why
didn't it boot originally?
Speaker 5 (10:13):
Do you believe?
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Well, if I had to put money on it, I'd say,
it's because your hard drive is bad. So it's it's
losing the hard drive. It's not booting because when it
goes to find the Windows boot device, the Windows boot
device is either missing or it doesn't really doesn't recognize
that there's a Windows partition to boot from. When it
does find the partition and boot from it, the fact
that you're getting a blue screen tells me that Windows
(10:36):
is damaged. Windows itself is damaged, and so that would
be also indicative of a of a hard drive failure.
So my guess is you've got a hard drive failure
happening in progress.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Right, So I've googled some of that how to replace
his hard drive?
Speaker 5 (10:50):
I bought one. Actually, good, have one.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
It's not that hard a procedure to do, right, No.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
The physical replacement of the drive is not difficult to do.
All all the pitfalls come in the installation of the software.
So basically, are you installing Windows eleven on this computer
or Windows ten? Windows even okay, and do you have installation.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
Media meaning a USB or yeah, you need like.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
A flash drive loaded with Windows eleven to install from.
Speaker 5 (11:19):
Not yet, Okay, I'm assuming I'm gonna need to do that.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yep, and I'm gonna I'm gonna give you a this is.
If you do this, you won't have a problem. It'll
just work. You want to go, you jump on Google
whatever your favorite search engine is, and look for the
media create the Windows eleven Media Creation Kit and'll it's
a little program you download to your computer. You'll need
another computer to do this obviously, and install it on
(11:42):
the computer. And what it will do is it will build.
It will make a Windows eleven installing flash drive for you.
Then you put that flash drive in your Dell. Once
you put the new hard drive in, you put the
flash drive in and Dell. It should boot from the
flash drive because it's the only available boot source. Sometimes
you have to press like F twelve to get to
boot from a USB device, So sometimes there's a keypress.
(12:03):
Sometimes it just happens automatically. Just try to see if
it works first and then worry about keypresses later. Once
you get it to boot from that USB key though,
then everything is it's just a setup program. You click next,
you click next, you click the next to click go.
Ten minutes later you'll have Windows eleven installed. And then
after that point of course, you know nothing's going to
work on the computer. Potentially you might have issues with sound,
(12:24):
you might have issues with the way the picture looks
on the screen, might be weird. It may not have
Internet connectivity, so there may be some driver software you
have to install. Windows eleven is very good about giving
you compatibility drivers, basic drivers that are going to make
it work well enough for you to improve it and
get it going again. So once you have Windows installed,
the next thing you want to do are all the updates,
(12:45):
the Windows updates. So make sure you do all the
Windows updates because it'll get you any drivers and stuff
that Microsoft knows you need. If it's a Dell, most
of this stuff should fall right into place for you
shouldn't have too much trouble.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
That sounds great, Yeah, and that's a Windows makes this creation.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Yes, it's it's like you'll get it from a Microsoft website.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Yes, yep, and I'll go there. Well. Great.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Last question, when I replaced the hard drive, do I
need this anti static mat or kind of just do
it on a pillow with how big a.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Deal is that it's not anymore, you know, back in
the old American mard No, I mean, you know, back
in the day when when this when the electronics were
were you know, big and solid, and you know, don't
wear your socks and shuffle around on the carpet and
then start touching micro chips. Okay, I mean, you know,
don't do that. Don't shock it like it's a seven
year old boy. That's what I do anyway, and kids like,
(13:34):
oh dad, and then he could decide to time to
zap Dad, don't do that. But but you know, you
you could do it on a kitchen counter or a
kitchen table or the dining room table or someplace. I wouldn't,
you know, set it on a carpet and do it
down there. I mean, be reasonable about it. You know,
before you touch any electronic components, touch the metal on
the case to discharge any static electricity out of your body.
And I know that there are purists out there who
(13:55):
are listening to me right now, who are raging at
their radio. Is like, no, you must wear a strap
and you be on an anti matt and you must
must and the humidity must be no higher than seventy
two percent.
Speaker 5 (14:06):
You know.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
So, anyway, none of that matters. If you you just
bought a new hard drive. If you if you zap
it and you kill it, send it back to where
you bought it from, tell them it's defective and get
another one.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Then don't do that again, you know.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
So?
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Anyway, Yeah, you'll be fine.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
You'll be fine on the desk and sure see what happens.
You'll be fod advice.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Thank you again, Hey, no sweat, Thanks for the call.
I appreciate you joining us on four zero two five
five eight eleven ten. It's that easy, folks. You can
get the help you need. It's all free on the radio,
right free on the podcast free at Shrock innovations dot com,
where you can listen to all the old shows, good
stuff all the way around. All right, before we take
our break here real quick, there's a lot of new faces.
I mentioned that we brought in some technicians. Not only
(14:49):
did we did, we transfer some technicians from service centers
that were lower in volume right now to the Omaha
shop to try to catch them up a little bit.
We're also onboarding several new technicians this week. So we
have a new full time technician starting in Omaha, we
have a new part time technician starting in Lincoln, we
have a new part time technician starting in Papillion, and
we have a new HR generalist starting in two weeks
(15:11):
to hire even more people for us. So, I mean,
we are a lot of new faces coming into Shock
right now. It's very exciting actually, because the energy around
these people that are coming in there. These are not
people that the reason we're so low on people, guys,
isn't because you know, we procrastinated hiring or trying to
cut the budget or anything like that. We're low because
we were being picky. We were being choosy. We were
(15:35):
not going to hire somebody who was not a good
fit simply because we needed someone who could fog a mirror.
And that's just that we can't do that in a
service company. You can't. So the people that we hired,
we believe are going going to be epic assets to
our organization and I am super excited to bring them
on board, get them into the fold, and make sure
that they're getting what they need and do and everything
for our customers that we need them to do and
(15:56):
of course, get those turnaround times knocked down, so lots
of new faces there. Also quick mention, guys, we received
sixty boxes of Holiday special freight in the Papilion Service
center this week. That's another reason why we need that
part time tech. So, yeah, we have a lot of
new freight coming in. We're starting to build the holiday specials.
(16:16):
So that's you're gonna hear a little bit more and
a little bit more. I knew that the keyboard on
this year's Holiday Special laptop was back lit. You know,
that's one of the things when you get a high
end laptop, it usually has a backlit keyboard. I didn't
realize until one of the texts pointed it out to me.
It's RGB back lit. Yeah, so you can change the
color of the back light, or you can set it
(16:38):
on rainbow mode where it just like randomly changes colors
as it goes, or you can just leave it on white.
You know, you can do that too, But it's programmable.
You can do what you want to do with it,
and that's it.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Was just cool.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I'm like, oh my gosh, I totally don't like rainbow
stuff coming out of my keyboard. But if you wanted
blue back light or red backlight instead of white. It's
kind of neat to be able to customize that, right,
I like it? Four zero, two, five, five, eight eleven ten.
Taking a quick break when we come back, guys, there's
a Microsoft update that is causing solid state hard drives
(17:08):
to absolutely disappear. And I'm not talking about like you know,
vanish like a magician taking from the computer, like the
computer says there is no seed drive anymore, and you
can't fix it. So what's going on? How do you
avoid this? How do we make sure this doesn't happen
to you? We're going to tell you coming up next
on Compute this.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
Shock Innovations solid state laptops are engineered locally for speed
and reliability you just.
Speaker 7 (17:32):
Can't get from the major national brands.
Speaker 8 (17:34):
Each of our laptops starts off.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
With an a Zeus chassis.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
We remove the stock drives and memory and upgrade them
with higher performing components. This unlocks the full potential of
the laptop, making the unit up to twenty five percent faster.
Speaker 8 (17:48):
This is why Shock solid state laptops last.
Speaker 7 (17:51):
So much longer than the competition.
Speaker 6 (17:53):
If your laptop starts out twenty five percent faster, that
means over time, it doesn't slow down nearly as fast.
Speaker 9 (18:00):
If you can dream it, Shock Interactives website developers can
make it happen. Refresh your website, automate sales and marketing,

don't call the manufacturers for help.

There's a reason Shrock Innovations has consistently voted the best

Shrock Innovations makes your computer work for you.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Here we go, got build dancing over here. Every everybody's
happy this morning. This is good stuff.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Ben a great boode.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Welcome back in to compute this, guys. Where everybody's happy,
everybody's dancing, and Disney is not man but not whoo either.
We're gonna tell you about that coming up in the
aftershock today. Four zero two five five eight eleven ten.
Microsoft has a problematic Windows update. Surprise. This never happened before,
It will never happen again. This must be a one
(19:41):
dot one off event. Now, what's gonna happen? Guys?
Speaker 5 (19:44):
Is uh?
Speaker 2 (19:44):
KB five zero six three eight seven eight is the
update name? That is, if you're writing it down KB
for knowledge Base five zero six three eight seven eight
eight six seven five three oh nine. Yeah, I see,
Bill's like I know that from somewhere.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
What is that?
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Eight six seven five three.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Oh it's that? That's what it is, the one that
was done before I was born out.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Coming back with the zinger, all right, moving on? Uh
So I wasn't feeling old already today, all right, So
knowledge based update five zero six three eight seven eight
it it's caused under certain circumstances. It's causing computers to
forget that they have solid state hard drives and they
just disappear. There is some indication it may happen with
(20:37):
mechanical hard drives also, but there's a very specific set
of circumstances where this happens. First of all, this update
is only causing this problem if your hard drive is
more than sixty percent full. So if you have like
a great, big, giant hard drive and it's not you know,
half full, you don't even have to worry about this.
The second thing is if your hard drive is over
(20:58):
sixty percent full and you continuously write fifty gigabytes to
the hard drive. Fifty gigabytes continuously to the hard drive,
not a bunch of little files. But imagine you're installing
Call of Duty on your computer. That's a fifty gig
install that's big. That will cause this to happen. So primarily,
(21:23):
the only people this is going to impact our gamers.
You know, people who install really really high, large, large
files on their computers at one time. Then they may
remove them and install something different if they want to
play a different game or whatever. So, if your hard
drives more than sixty percent full and you write fifty
gigabytes of continuous data, this update will cause your hard
drive to go gone. And when I say gone, I
(21:45):
mean if you hook it up to another computer, it
says it's uninitialized, meaning you're in a data recovery situation.
It's not just it's not just that a computer screwed
up and forgot it had a hard drive. There is
something happening that's causing the entire partition on the hard
drive to be invalidated. Now we can get it back
in the data recovery lab, of course, but that's just money,
right I mean. So yeah, if you're if you have
(22:06):
a kid who's a gamer in the house, make sure
that they go through their their uninstalled programs and remove
KB five zero six three eight seven eight. So now
that you know how serious this is, and those of
you who have kids are like, oh, Kurt, give me
a pen. The name of that update one last time
(22:27):
is KB five zero six three eight seven eight quick hack.
Just look for the update ending in three eight seven eight.
That's the one that you want to uninstall. And of
course Microsoft will reinstall this update for you automatically within
thirty days again, so it's not enough to just uninstall it.
You have to make sure it doesn't get reinstalled again
(22:47):
as well. Microsoft will put out an update for this.
Undoubtedly that update will cause another problem that is unrelated
that they will release yet another update for, so stay
tuned for that. And this is why you need to
replace your Windows ten before they stop issuing updates, because
then they're just gonna break everything at the end and
then just leave it broke. So yeah, you want to
make sure October twenty fifth is the deadline to get
(23:08):
off of Windows ten for zero two, five, five, eight
eleven ten. We're gonna take a quick break, guys. When
we come back, we got a full bank of calls. Kathy, Wanda,
Linda your calls as well as you can now buy
used cars on Amazon. I'm sure there's nothing that's going
to be a problem there. We're going to tell you
about that coming up next on compute this.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
Everyone has experienced some form of data loss or no
someone who has. It's unfortunate, but sometimes the technology we
rely on simply fails. And the last question you want
to hear at that time, is you have a backup
right When you're a hard drive, memory card, backup drive
or flash drive fails, you turn to the data recovery
experts at Shruck Innovations to get those pictures, songs, and
(23:47):
memories back. You know, not all data recovery companies are
the same. Having the right tools and knowledge to get
the job done right on the first attempt makes all
the difference between a successful recovery and the permanent laws
of your important data.
Speaker 7 (24:01):
Sometimes you only get one.
Speaker 8 (24:03):
Shot at a successful recovery.
Speaker 6 (24:05):
That's why Shrock has invested in top of the line
recovery imagers, a Class one hundred clean environment, over ten
thousand dollar components, and a staff of recovery engineers that
are the best in the business. Shrock has a ninety
six percent recovery rate getting data back from failed devices.
Speaker 7 (24:21):
When the unthinkable happens.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
And you need your data back, turn to the experts
at Shrock Innovations for professional and affordable data recovery services.
Speaker 9 (24:31):
Drive Advisor is a free program from Shrock Innovations that
monitors your hard drives health and tells you if it's
going bad. Download it for free at Driveadvisor dot Com.
Speaker 6 (24:41):
Laptops are subjected to some of the most stressful computing
situations imaginable. They get dropped, stepped on, slap shut, and
pushed until the battery dies. Sometimes your laptop works hard
for you, so when it has a problem, take it
to the laptop experts at Shrock Innovations. Shrock has four
convenience service centers in Nebraska and Iowa with more than
(25:02):
one hundred total bench spots to get your technology up
and running again. Shrock has the largest supply of replacement
components in stock and we fix more laptops than any
other nearby repair center. Why wait weeks to get your
computer fixed when Shrock can diagnose the problem, provide you
with a friendly and accurate estimate, and fix it usually
in two days or less. Remember, if you have never
(25:23):
been into our service centers before, new customers get.
Speaker 7 (25:26):
Their first hour of labor free.
Speaker 6 (25:28):
So the next time your laptop screen gets cracked, the
keys pop off your keyboard, or your two year old
decides a glass of milk is exactly what your laptop
needs to cool off. Take it to Shrock and let
your local laptop repair experts get it back in top shape.
Speaker 7 (25:42):
Again.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Man, that dude can whistle. I can't whistle like that.
That's impressive. That's impressive. Four zero two five five eight
eleven ten eight eight eight two five zero two zero
nine one. Coming up on the program here, Hurts wants
to sell you a car on Amazon. And I'm sure
there's not a problem with that. You know, just last
year they sold over twenty thousand electric vehicles. It was
(26:15):
kind of funny they sold twenty thousand electric vehicles because
there was no demand for them in the rental market.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
How would the return policy work?
Speaker 2 (26:23):
You think, Yeah, what would that be? Well, I mean,
when you buy it on Amazon, you have to go
pick it up from a Hurtz location, so it's like
they don't ship it to you. I'm like, is it
prime like im back in the box?
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Yeah, just shows up right on the driveway.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
It drives itself over. But no, So we'll get into that. Also,
if you're thinking it hurts, Hurts, there's something about Hurts
that I've heard lately. Yeah, they're trying to use AI
to detect damage to cars when you return them after
renting them. They're they're using high resolution cameras and AI
to basically auto bill you for damages to the car.
And it's not a super power popular thing they've been
(27:01):
doing because apparently those those cameras see a lot of
reflections that aren't actually damage, and then you get a
three hundred dollars bill to repair a dent that doesn't exist,
or maybe it was there before and the camera didn't
capture it the first time because there was a glare
when you drove off the lot. You know, So interesting
stuff there, So we'll get into that in a second,
but before we go there, let's go back into those phones.
(27:22):
Four zero two, five, five, eight eleven ten. Kathy, Welcome
to the program. How can I help you on compute this?
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Hi?
Speaker 10 (27:28):
Hi, how are you?
Speaker 2 (27:30):
I'm doing good?
Speaker 5 (27:31):
How are you doing good?
Speaker 10 (27:32):
It's an honor to talk to you.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Thank you.
Speaker 10 (27:35):
Cox has farmed out email the Yahoo earlier this year.
I know you're aware of that. I would like to
hear your opinion on the privacy based email services as
well as a recommendation if you have any.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, yeah, as far as yah, Yahoo email is garbage.
I don't like it. Gmail is reliable for the most part,
but it's also not very private. Google reads every single
email and uses it to build an advertising profile about you.
They watch every reply that you write and use AI
to help you craft your replies in the future. So
literally Google is learning to write like you. So there's
(28:09):
a lot of implications. There's some people like it. Some
people think it's making their lives easier, and that's fine
if you're looking at it from a privacy perspective. There
are several privacy based email services out there. Some of
the biggest ones are proton Mail, and these, of course
are all going to be there's no free privacy based
email because you know, we've said this many times on
(28:30):
the program over the years, but there is no such
thing as a free lunch. So if you're not paying
for the product, you are the product. So if you're
getting free email from Yahoo or Gmail, it's because they're
getting something from you by looking at all your content
and data. If you want privacy focused email where no
one's going to look at your stuff, well then you
have to pay. They need to have money to keep
(28:51):
things going, and that money comes from somewhere. Well, you're
going to pay a subscription and it's not terrible. It's
like one hundred bucks a year or something something along
those lines. But Proton mail is really good. It gets
great reviews. It's very stable, very reliable. Another one that
I've heard good things about is Reagan dot com. It's
another private email service that you subscribe to named after
President Ronald Reagan. So they're obviously making a play for
(29:13):
a conservative audience there. But but from from just from
a technological perspective, I have not. I've never heard any
complaints about it at all. Now, the third thing you
can do that a lot of people don't realize is
you don't need to hire anybody to run your email.
You can do your own your own email. Go out
and get a go to GoDaddy dot com and buy
(29:34):
a domain. For example, I have shrockmail dot com and
that's my personal email account. That's my personal domain. There's
only one email address on that entire domain. It's t
shrock at shrockmail dot com and that's where send me
an email. I get the email, but nobody reads my email.
No one on my staff sees my email like it
(29:54):
is private personal email because I just set it up
to be that way. And it costs me, like you know,
I don't know, thirty bucks a month something like that,
So it's a little more expensive to set it up
yourself and run it yourself. But then it's the ultimate
privacy then, because I mean, there is nobody else in
the loop on your email, right.
Speaker 10 (30:14):
I bought a computer there in the last couple of
years and I bought Microsoft Office. Yeah, so I think
I own Outlook, my Outlook. If I can run Proton
through my Outlook, will I have a record of all
my emails even if Proton goes away.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yes. So whenever you use an email client, so whether
that's Outlook, whether that's Thunderbird, you know there's tons of
email clients. When you set that up to check your email,
it's saving a database of your email on the local
computer and it's synchronizing it with the server. So if
you delete something from the computer, it deletes it from
the server. If you delete it on the server, it'll
delete it from the computer. If you set up your
(30:54):
cell phone to check the same email account, if you
delete an email on your cell phone, it will delete
it on your computer and the server. So it's all
synchronized together. So no matter what device or client you're using,
all the email is synchronized with the server. If the
server would happen to go away gone, well then when
you try to connect, it's going to obviously fail because
the server's gone. Say I can't connect, and you'll have
(31:15):
a local copy that was up to date from the
last time that was connected to the server, which would
have been just a few minutes before it went away.
So yeah, you'd have a local copy and everything would
be safe.
Speaker 5 (31:26):
Perfect.
Speaker 10 (31:27):
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
No, sweet Kathy, thanks for the call. Appreciate the questions
for zero two, five, five, eight, eleven ten. Wanda, Welcome
to the program. How can I help you on compute
this today?
Speaker 11 (31:37):
Good morning. In March, when you had the sale for
the preventative maintenance certificates, I purchased one, okay, and I
was going to use it on my HP Windows ten
in April, and so you had a special on the
ultimate upgrade in April, so I went ahead and purchased
that new laptop. The certificate I'm supposed to use by September,
(32:03):
but six months for the laptop for maintenance would be
in October, and then that's when the Windows eleven updates
come out too. Yep, would you let me extend that
certificate from September to October?
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Absolutely? So here's the thing, I'm not a big fan
of selling customers something and then telling them, ah, I
get to keep your money and I don't have to
do anything that That's not cool. So when we're when
you're buying a maintenance certificate, it's almost like you're buying
a gift certificate, right, so they shouldn't really expire. Now,
the problem that we have is if we don't put
some kind of sense of urgency on it, then customers
(32:37):
never use it. And the whole point of the maintenance
is to get it done, and so we want to
keep that sense of urgency. But if you come in
with a maintenance certificate, so first of all, it's not
like you have a paper certificate. When you buy a
maintenance certificate, Our system keeps a digital record that we
owe you a maintenance checkup. When you come into the
service center, we know we owe you a maintenance checkup
(32:58):
and we'll do it for you. You paid for it,
we're going to do it. So yes, we definitely will
honor that for you. In you know, so it's a
six month interval, so you're not doing maintenance ahead of schedule, okay.
Speaker 11 (33:10):
And also have a compliment on Ellianna almost two weeks
ago on the new laptop, it locked up on me
and it said call Microsoft Support, and I knew not
to do that. Good called your Lincoln store and she
was very patient with me because I'm not used to
all the keys on the new laptop yet, and she
(33:31):
walked me through step by step and was very nice
and got me done very quickly, and we got it
unlocked and that saved me a two hour trip to
Lincoln to bring my laptop up.
Speaker 8 (33:41):
Well, there you go that very much.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Well, thank you for letting me know that she did
a great job for you. I really appreciate that when
customers call into the program and give me compliments on
individual employees. One of the things that we're you know,
I mentioned we hired a new HR person and now
I have to come up with a list of like
we need to do these new things that are super
HRI that you know as we're growing is you know,
we were able to get away with a lot when
we were smaller, and now we're just getting bigger and
(34:03):
bigger and bigger and more complex. And you know, how
do we know if our people are doing a good job?
What are the actual metrics for doing a good job
at Shrock. The funny thing is we just know it
when we see it. We know Eleiana is awesome because
Eleana is awesome, duh. But when customers call into the
radio program, that's what we call the learning. That's what
is called a key performance indicator. That means we can
(34:25):
actually use that as a benchmark. So how many compliments
that you get on compute this as an employee at
Shrock is directly relatable back to your performance. So, hey,
so Elianna got one today and that's that's a win
for her. I'll make sure that she knows to give
it a listen here right around the forty minute mark
in the program so she can hear that she did
a great job for you. That alt key is weird, right,
(34:45):
you know, you don't really use the alt key for
anything unless it's a three finger salute. You're not using
the altken if you don't know what that is, you
don't want to know. But you know, the alt key
is weird. But now imagine just a few years from now,
and everyone's gonna also have a co pilot key on
the other side. That's where you're on the right side.
The all key there is become the co pilot key,
(35:06):
so you can.
Speaker 11 (35:06):
Actually I have the F four key procedure you talked
about in the past.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
Four we get that to go.
Speaker 11 (35:12):
And I figured out the new system. So it's like, well,
I'll just call you guys. So I knew somebody to
help me, so I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Yours was all function F four.
Speaker 11 (35:21):
Yes, yes, all right.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Wanda, thank you for the call. I really appreciate you
joining us on the show today. All right, last call
here before we jump into this story about buying cars
on Amazon. Linda, welcome in. How can I help you
today and compute this?
Speaker 12 (35:35):
Well, Hi, Thor And I'll tell you what. Elianna isn't
the only one that's going to get a call today.
She's going to get a good recommendation from me too,
because I want you to know this is how it
went down. Okay, all right, the Lincoln store, that's the setting. Okay,
the doorbell rings Andrew enters, welcome to Innovations. May I
(36:01):
help you? And immediately with my panic attacks that I
have sometimes with all of this technology, I felt, you know,
very very calm. The doorbell was quite a surprise in
the Omaha store too. Yeah. That that that that was
(36:22):
that's really amazing. Okay, So after I spoke to Andrew,
I told him that I needed to see Mohammed also
regarding my battery and my iPhone and everything. And so
I talked to him and he answered all my questions
and then he had to leave to go on a
house call. So he said, Eleana can finish up, and
(36:45):
she did. She was wonderful. She she answered my questions.
She and uh, you know, at this point in my life,
I'm I'm young at heart, but but getting uh getting
up in years. And anyway, it was a pleasure to
talk to her, and she she solved all my problems,
(37:06):
and it was it was a wonderful experience. I really
enjoyed it. So thank you so much. They were all wonderful.
Help great hires. And give him a raise.
Speaker 7 (37:15):
For Heaven's sake, I just gave her a raise.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Literally, I just gave her one, like a week and
a half ago. Oh gosh. The funny thing is like
we we love Andrew because when he answers the phone,
it's just how he is. He is, just like when
it's Christmas time, he's like, do you guys mind if
I play Christmas music in here? And We're like, no, dude,
play Christmas music. That's awesome. He answers the phone. It's
he's got such like a song in his voice. Thank
(37:39):
you for calling Schrock Innovations. This is Andrew. Can I
help you?
Speaker 12 (37:43):
And you just you instantly feel yeah, it's very calm.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
And if I ask any of my other employees to
sing the greeting, then it's just not gonna work. You know.
It's just that that's Andrew is special like that. It
just works for him, and it's it's amazing because you
listen to it and you're like, wow, I feel right.
Speaker 12 (38:00):
Now, like yeah, yeah, you a nice voice too.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Yeah. Moe's good guy like that. Do you know? Uh,
we have multiple employees at Shrock Now that do m
m A style fighting, and Moe is one of them.
He does medieval combat. Yeah, he puts on the armor
with the swords and goes to town. He had an
eye injury a little while ago. We're like, oh, would
you take a sword to the eye. Didn't some didn't,
Some king die like a splinter through the shard of
(38:28):
the helmet king somebody you know, don't no more no
more grewsome sword injuries. Mo, come on.
Speaker 12 (38:36):
Right, we don't want to lose him.
Speaker 5 (38:38):
Yeah, you don't want to.
Speaker 12 (38:39):
Lose him at well.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
No, And how many computer guys do you know that
can wield a sword? You know?
Speaker 12 (38:47):
Right?
Speaker 3 (38:48):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
I appreciate you joining us on the program today. Have
a great afternoon. Four zero two, five, five, eight eleven.
Ten's the number you can join us on the program today.
So I mentioned you can buy anything on Amazon.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
I bought a rain.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
You know, you can buy anything on Amazon about a
battery for a riding lawn mower or anything. Now, Hurts
is selling cars on Amazon in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles,
and Seattle. So you're not gonna see them in like
the Omaha metro area or the Des Moines metro area.
But if these bigger cities Hurts is actually selling the cars,
you can go browse the cars online. You can. I wonder,
I wonder if we use our VPN to tell the
(39:21):
computer that we're in Houston, if we could go to
Amazon and see the cars, you know, just to see
I just browse the cars.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
But so you go to Amazon dot com and you
search for like, you know, I don't know, Chevy bolt, Bolt,
I don't know whatever, you search, you know, Mustang with
Eco boost. You know, I don't know what you search
for Hurts cars, but you search for something and you
find cars, and Hurts is selling those cars. If you
find one you like, you can actually buy it on
Amazon and then you go to the Hurts lot and
(39:51):
you pick up your car and it's it's great. I
guess you know a lot of people are buying cars
from Hurts using Amazon, of all things. So if you're
remembering her, it's for some other reason. You're thinking there
might might have been in the news recently. You're not wrong.
They are using a new camera system that they pioneered
that when you check out your car, when you drive
past the booth, all these high resolution cameras literally they
(40:13):
look under the car, at the undercarriage, they look at
the sides, they look at the top, they look at
everything on the cars. You go out and they take
pictures of everything. Then when you come back, the same
process is repeated, and then the pictures are compared using
AI and if there are any discrepancies, and you know,
if there's a dent that is now there that was
not there before, then Hertz automatically builds your payment method
on file for the repair of that damage. So in essence,
(40:36):
they have removed the need for their employees to inspect
the vehicles when you return them. So you don't even
need to have an employee at the return booth anymore.
You just drive past the cameras, park it in the
in the slot, get up and go, and you're done
with your rental. Sounds really cool, except there's been some
malfunctions and there is no remediation method in place, so like,
if the AI gets it wrong, you don't have a
(40:56):
way to dispute it. And apparently it's got it wrong
a few times. And when anyone a prominence who rents
a car, who has a microphone or a blog or
something like that, gets gets stung by Hurts, Hurts is
really quick to refund it. But I don't know how
quick they are if you're just like a normal person
and you're calling Hurts and you're dealing with a customer
service rep and you're like, well, I didn't dent your car,
and they're like, well, the camera says you did, and
(41:18):
you review the they don't give you the pictures they
give you I don't really show where the dent is,
and and it's the tiniest, most minischool thing, so something
that a human would have never found before. The cameras
pick up every time. So from a rental experience, you
have a lot of people now saying, I'm not going
to rent from Hurts anymore. I'm only going to rent
from Enterprise or somebody else because the or Alamo or
(41:40):
somebody because I'm not dealing with that camera garbage. So
if you've heard about Hurts in the news, that that's
why you've heard about them recently. For zero, two, five, five, eight, eleven, ten,
we're going to take our final break of the program. Guys,
when we come back. This is not something I recommend
you do highly not recommended zero out of five stars,
because you end up in prison. But if you want
(42:02):
a really funny story about a guy who really wanted
to make sure that the company he worked for could
never lay him off, well not without a lot of pain. Anyway,
We're going to tell you the story about Dave Lou.
Dave Lou is a fifty five year old coder and
he decided to take some job security matters in his
(42:22):
own hands when he was upset about a recent reorganization
at his company that he worked for in Ohio, So
we're going to tell you that story when we come
back next on compute this.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Remember the good old days when virus detection worked like
where's Waldo? Spot the virus in the striped shirt and
you win. Today's infections are changing hourly to avoid detection
and use social engineering to trick you into making mistakes.
Using yesterday's security to defend against today's threats is like
using leeches to stop an infection. It just doesn't work.
(42:53):
We recommend sofos intercept X anti virus backed by Shocks
Virus free guarantee. Sofos uses the power of AI to
detect the patterns of a virus attack and responds with
Shrock's custom actions that stop it fast. With Sofos on
your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you get the
state of the art protection you need to defend against
(43:15):
the most advanced attacks out there. In fact, if your
device gets a virus while running sofos antivirus, Shock will
remove it for free, guaranteed. It hasn't happened yet and
we intend to keep it that way. Ditch your dad's
antivirus and keep your device, data and identities safe with
sofos and Shrock Innovations.
Speaker 9 (43:35):
Shrock Innovations Data Recovery Labs saves the data the other
guys can't. The next time your hard drive, camera card,
or flash drive fails, let Shrock get your data back.
Speaker 6 (43:45):
You know your computer needs modern anti virus, and you
know using a VPN helps protect your identity online.
Speaker 7 (43:51):
But did you know that.
Speaker 6 (43:52):
All of that protection could be useless if you're running
outdated programs. We all run common free software like Adobe Reader,
drop Box, Firefox, and Chrome.
Speaker 7 (44:02):
Every day.
Speaker 6 (44:02):
There are critical security updates for these common programs that
don't get automatically installed for up to two weeks. That's
an eternity in today's world. That's why Shock created Secure Updata.
Secure Update checks for and installs these critical updates every
eight hours, boosting your antivirus by closing off attack vectors
before they can be used to penetrate your computer. Go
(44:24):
to secure updater dot com and try it for free.
We are so confident in our product we don't even
ask for a credit card to start the trial.
Speaker 7 (44:32):
Go to secure updater dot com today.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
And start your fourteen day trial and enjoy having the
peace of mind that your software is being updated quickly

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Alrighty guys, final segment of the program. Thanks for sticking
in there with us throughout the show today. Yeah, I
appreciate you being here. Four zero two, five, five, eight
eleven ten. You're listening to compute this. And my name
is Thor Schrock. I'm the owner of the Shock Innovation's
computer company where you know, I I know that ninety
nine percent of the stuff that I deal with on
a daily basis nobody listening really cares about. So I
(45:18):
don't talk about it on the radio show. But you know, dealing,
I've I've been. You know, we lost our HR person.
She moved on for another opportunity. It was a it
was a good it was a good party. It was
good for her, right, it was a it was a
great opportunity for her at a new startup. It really
kind of sucks for us, but you know, but but
you know, now we you know, we're working on we
got that position we hired. But in the meantime, you know,
(45:39):
Parker and I have been tag teaming the hiring and
giving each other lessons and why we shouldn't be interviewing people. Uh,
you know, it's worth just an HR disaster waiting to happen.
And so but we've I mean, I've gotten to talk
to a lot of people and a lot and I
love talking to people. And some of these people we've hired,
some of them we haven't, and just developing this it
just gives me this great feeling about the quality of
(46:01):
people that are out there and the quality of people
that we're bringing into our organization, and the amazing things
that we're going to be able to do for you
and to do for each other in the company, and
how everyone's job is going to get easier when you
have the right people in the right seats on the bus.
It's just a great feeling. And so it's hard to
put that into words, and it's not something that you
really talk about on the radio show. But if that
sounds like something you were interested in being a part of.
(46:23):
I do have two positions that are still open that
I am actually interviewing for and hiring for. We're trying
to get them hired before the HR person starts, right.
We don't want you to deal with the HR person.
This is your opportunity to interview with somebody who's going
to be like, so, what am I allowed to ask you?
How are you today? You know I got the checklist
(46:44):
of prohibited questions, you know, don't you know? In an
interview now you can't ask somebody what do you do
in your spare time? Well, if they say, like, you know,
I go to church on Saturdays, oh, we can make
religious sumptions there. Or you know, I like to attend
DEI festivals, Oh okay, we can make some assumptions there.
(47:07):
You know that you can't ask people that it's too leading.
You can ask them what do you like to do?
And they may choose to talk about work or choose
to talk about personal stuff, But you can't ask them
what do you do when you're not at work? That's
a prohibited question. These are the things I didn't know
before HR, you know, and so you know, trying to
do the job right. But we need two administrative assistants.
(47:27):
We need one in the Omaha Service Center. We need
one in the Papillion Service Center. These are front desk
people that check customers in, send customers out the door,
collect payments. They answer phones. They help customers there generally
need to be pleasant people. They need to be people
who are who are interested in helping others. They need
to be people who are comfortable assisting people in a
forty plus demographic. So we get a lot of childcare
(47:50):
applicants and we're like, it's not quite like that. It's
a little bit different. You know. Any kind of accounting
experience or light HR experience is helpful because we have
some assists roles that you can do to assist other
operations that they're having, so you don't have downtime we're
just sitting there looking at the phone waiting for it
to ring. You have other tasks you can do. And
essentially the front desk people in the service centers are
(48:11):
responsible for making sure the trains run on time, if
the guys in the back have forgotten about a job,
if they've dropped a ball, the front desk needs to
know about all the balls in the service center so
that they can make sure none of them get dropped.
And so if that sounds like something that's interesting to you,
I would encourage you to go over on Indeed and
just search for Shock. You'll find our profile there and
(48:31):
we still have. We have multiple we have technician jobs.
We have two front desk jobs. Parker's hiring the tech jobs.
He's fine, he'll get it done. I'm having a terrible
time finding great people for the administrative assistant roles that
aren't going to ghost me on the interview. Yeah that's
happened twice. So yeah, if it's something you're interested in,
check it out. Indeed, dot com search for Shrock sc
(48:52):
ch roc k and you could be a front desk
over on a team that appreciates what you do and
treat you right. Four zero, two eleven ten is the
number to join us on the program again. Today or
this week is the last week for the maintenance check
Up special So if you're going to purchase a certificate,
I'd recommend you go to Shock Innovations dot com, click
on shop and specials and make that purchase before they
(49:13):
go away and go back up to a full price
at one hundred bucks. Right now, there's sixty nine to
ninety nine so for thirty percent off, so take advantage
of that while you can. Also, there are going to
be some new computers up there on the specials page
as well this week. Keep an eye out for those
as well. So I'm going to tell you the story
of Dave Lou. Dave Lou is a fifty five year
(49:34):
old coder that worked in an industrial power management company
in Ohio. The story didn't have the name of the company,
which I thought was weird because they're telling me what
he was sentenced to but in his name and his
age and his job description, but not the name of
his company. So okay, So he worked for an industrial
power management company. So my guess is they're doing some
(49:54):
big important power stuff, right, and they probably have a
lot of people counting on them for you know, energy
related products, whether that's directly electricity or transformers, you know,
things like that, things like what we would use at
the Bitcoin Mind to keep things operating there. So in
twenty eighteen, the company goes through an internal reorganization and
(50:16):
basically responsibilities were changed, people were reporting to different people.
This resulted in Dave basically having reduced access to systems,
reduced responsibilities, and he reported to a different supervisor. He
didn't like the changes. He thought that it was unfair
and he was concerned that he was on the way out,
like that this was going to be the start of
(50:37):
and the end of his career at this company, So
he decided in twenty nineteen to set up the company
network so that if anybody ever deleted his profile from
the active directory. Now, what that means is, if you
get fired from a company, you know, you log into
the computer at work and it takes you to your desktop.
That's your active directory login. If you fire somebody, you
(51:00):
delete their active directory, you remove them from the network.
They're gone, They're a non person. Essentially, if his active
directory was ever deleted by the company, it would cause
the network to go into an infinite loop and also
prohibit everybody else in the company from accessing their active directories.
(51:21):
So if you fire Dave lou, you may as well
fire everybody in the company because ain't nobody getting any
work done. The network is down. And even if you
can figure out why the network is down and stop
that infinite loop, all of your active directories are locked
so you can't log in.
Speaker 7 (51:34):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
So yeah, he implemented this in twenty between twenty eighteen
and twenty nineteen. Well, he was right, Actually, the writing
on the wall was there. In twenty nineteen, he was
released from the company, and the company, as predicted, deleted
his profile from the network and everything went into an
infinite loop and nobody could log in. Once they figured
(51:57):
out what happened, he was charged with causing his employer
hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost productivity damages. This week,
David Lou was sentenced to four years in prison and
three years of supervised release for creating an infinite loop
on his corporate network that locked everybody out. So while
(52:19):
David certainly would have got his revenge, the reason he
locked everybody out of their profiles was so that nobody
could get in there and stop the infinite loop and
figure out why it was happening, so it could never
be traced back to him. You just have to blow
up the network and start over, right, Well not so much.
Somebody figured it out, and somebody smarter than him apparently.
Maybe that's why they let him go. He figured it
out and they were able to trace it back to him,
(52:40):
and now he is going to jail. So not recommended
don't do it, but it is sure funny. You know,
if you're around the water cooler and you're you're talking
to your buddies as well, you know this one guy
is David Lou and he did this thing, and you know,
maybe we should send him like a prison coffee or something,
you know, just a here's a note for the commissary.
You know, you can get yourself some chocolate, so anyway
(53:00):
for it. Sorry, I don't know. You gotta go to
the weird places otherwise it's not fun. Linda, congratulations, you're
the winner of the twenty five dollars Shrock Innovations gift certificate. Well,
Eleana will actually get a hold of you on Monday
to get you that gift certificate because she's the only
front desk we have left. The other two we need
