Speaker 1 (00:00):
Pleasure to welcome Hans von Spakowski back to the program
from the Heritage Foundation and the Hans works a lot
in election integrity issues. Hans, good morning, Great to have
you back.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Erry, thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Bet and I noticed this article on the Daily Caller
in which you're quoted, but also a couple of people
are quoted who follow civil unrest very closely and have
for years, and they're predicting that if Donald Trump wins
this election, we're going to see riots in the street
from one end of this country to the other.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Do you agree, Well, I think that's a strong possibility
when you have his opponents calling him Adolf Hitler and making, look,
what are historically absurd claims and really outrageous claims. I
actually think what they're doing is trying to prepare people

(00:55):
to urge them to engage in in that kind that
kind kind of resistance if he's elected. I think they're
actually sowing the groundwork, sowing the fields to encourage that
kind of behavior, and it's it's really shameful that they're
doing that.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Jamie Raskin, who's a prominent congressman Democrat congressman from Maryland,
has made noises like, if Trump wins, We're not going
to let this happen. We're going to do some maneuvers
in the House of Representatives, and we're going to ramp
up the legal challenges and so on. What are we
going to be in for a week from Wednesday, if

(01:37):
or whenever they get the final results of Trump wins.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Well, I do think that if it's a close election
and Trump wins, You know, everybody keeps asking whether Trump
will accept, if accept the results to be loses. I
don't think Kamala Harris will accept the results if she loses. Look,
she's got very prominent Democratic lawyers working for her, the

(02:04):
lead guy being Mark Elias, who has a huge amount
of money and who's been filing lawsuits all over the
country to try to change the rules that govern the
election process to favor his candidate. And I don't think
she will accept it either.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Do you think I would hope this is happening, But
I don't know, Hans. Do you think that cities and
municipalities are working on plans for crowd control and try
to keep people safe in the event of widespread violence.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well they should be, because I said, I think that's
a real possibility when you have I mean, look, Donald
Trump just had this big political rally in New York. Okay,
he had it in Madison Square Garden, the same place
where Bill Clinton got nominated at the DNC convention, George

(03:06):
Bush got nominated the DNC convention. And they keep trying
to compare that to this Nazi rally that happened in
nineteen thirty nine, when that is just again a totally
outrageous comparison and back frankly, an insult to people who
suffered in Nazi Germany because of the Nazis. But when

(03:29):
you make a comparison like that, like I said, you
are I think laying the groundwork to encourage violent resistance
if you lose an election, and the cities across the
country where we saw violent BLM and ANTIFA riots and
where we saw for example in New York pro Hamas

(03:53):
and in other words, pro terrorist group protests that almost
turned into riots, they need to be planning for that.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah. Well, you're quoted in this article too that you
think any if Trump wins in any state where it's closed,
they're going to claim voter suppression, whether whether there was
any or not. Will they think voter suppression is any
voter ID ruled or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Right, right? Or actually we're actually requiring you know, not
just an ID but any but things like signature comparison,
absentee ballots, or witness requires. They think that's voter suppression.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I've noticed. I don't know if apparently the left hasn't
noticed this, Hans, but I've noticed that over the years
now that Nazi rally was what in nineteen thirty nine,
Since then, there have been several basketball games there, there's
been political convention, there have been a few concerts. That
building has been used before. But because in.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Fact it's not even the same building, right, the massive
square guards has been rebuilt several times, and the building
where they had the rally was apparently built in the
late sixties at a different location.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, but because it was a Trump rally, well then
this is a Hitler comparison.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Unbelievable, right, Well, given all the Israeli flags that were
flying and being waved throughout there, that's also kind of
a ridiculous assertion.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
It's great to have you on always. Thanks
